The Super Bowl Radio Row.
This is it.
This is the end of the line.
This is the P.H.O.Y. Eagles show presented by Factor Meal kits.
Head to FactorMeals.com slash Eagles 50.
And use code Eagles 50 to get 50% off.
I am Bo Wolf.
That is Zach Berman.
And Zach, we have finally reached the end of the line here at Radio Row.
We might talk a little bit about the game itself, which we have not done a single second of on the show this week.
But we've got a packed show for you, Jordan Myelotta, Britain Covey, Josh Norris and Hayden Winks of Underdogs.
We've got the promised interview with a former Bow Wolf Camp Crush and several players involved in the game on Sunday.
Leftover from Media Night.
Lots to get to.
We're excited.
Yeah, it's been a good week.
I've enjoyed doing these shows with you.
I've so appreciated everything Joy is done.
I want our audience to know Julia, our producer's been amazing this week in terms of getting all these clips up.
Julia.
Yeah.
Like it's not.
Julie.
Like it's hard to do the show most days, but this week with all these clips and putting them together.
Oh, the clips, the bad Wi-Fi, moving around, having to shoot.
Yeah, we so appreciate that.
Appreciate all the other guests.
It's, yeah, it's a different way of covering the Super Bowl than I've done it the previous few times.
but it's just this has been awesome.
Julia, how has this week been for you?
I would say, like, utterly exhausting,
but the outcome has been worth the exhaustion.
It's been awesome.
How about that?
I like that.
We hope our audience enjoys it, too.
And the great thing about this is it lives on, on YouTube.
In perpetuity.
Yeah, so if you're ever like,
I want to know about James Winchester's time with the Eagles,
you can find that.
If you want to know about, well,
did Joe, does Joe Tooney pee sitting down?
Well, you're going to have to stay tuned for that in this episode.
You can find out about that.
You can hear Don McNab's insight, and you can hear Jordan Milata's insight,
and you can hear Zaire Franklin talk about the best players from Philly.
We've had so many good guests this week.
DeAndre Swift can catalog that leading up to free agency.
So it's been a lot of fun.
All right.
Well, let's get things going here because we've got a lot to get to.
So we're going to start with Jordan Milata, who we caught up with yesterday.
That's Thursday.
You broke news.
To Jordan.
Broke news to Jordan.
I actually feel a little bit guilty about this.
You're going to watch this and you're going to see, the end of this interview is not fun and
it's my fault, but I appreciate Jordan being there to be asked this question.
So let's watch that now.
Jordan, my lot.
We thank you very much for taking a minute.
Give us quickly like the characterization of people who play rugby league versus rugby union.
What's like the...
Who's tougher?
I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I think it's two different. Again, it is the same sport, but it sort of is different because in rugby league you're running more.
And rugby's a little bit more physical, you know, more contact in the game. But that's how I'll sit on the wall with that. I'll sit on the fence.
And what are you here to talk about?
I haven't been talking about the NRL. You can do this all morning. This is what I've been doing. I'm actually talking about the NRL.
They're coming here, Las Vegas, playing at Legion Stadium, March 2nd.
weekend, four teams coming down, up and over, that's what I've been saying.
Four teams coming up and over, so you don't have to go down under.
Okay.
All right, see what you're there?
So you don't have to go down under.
And one of them are played for, South Sydney Rabbitos are coming here to play.
And, yeah, show off their skills, man, show that the talent they have down under.
Speaking of down under, you found out this week the Eagles are playing in Brazil, week one.
A, what do you think of that?
And B, how long until the game's in Australia?
Oh, just a second.
This is awesome.
It's a great opportunity for, again, the sport to grow internationally.
And one opportunity to go check out of beautiful Brazil.
So excited for that.
I'm going to ask you the question that everybody wants to know here at Super Bowl Radio Row.
It's what everybody's talking about.
What do you make of Roy East fan leaving to go to Cleveland?
July.
No, that was reported today.
I didn't know that.
Really?
I'm starting to break the news.
Fuck.
We like a Roy.
Well, I love Roy.
Oh, damn.
Thanks for breaking the news.
I don't mean to make you upset.
I thought you would have known.
I love Roy.
Tell us why.
I mean, it's the backbone of our operation.
It's doubt everything, foundation and the base.
Roy is the backbone.
I'm proud that he gets to go to Cleveland.
Well, holy shit, I'm going to call him.
Okay, we'll let you go then.
Thanks.
How do we feel about the way we did Jordan dirty there?
Well, I don't know if we did them dirty.
I just assumed he would have known.
That's news, right?
I didn't know you were going to ask that.
I was like, okay.
How do I not?
I'm a journalist.
Not going to ask the offensive lineman about his offensive line.
Is assistant offensive line coach leaving the news that broke that day?
Sure, sure.
No, no, I just didn't know that rose to the level.
I didn't realize.
You don't think Roy Eastman?
rises to the level of
Jordan Maelada knowing who he is?
I know. I know Jordan Maelot, know he is.
I didn't know if our audience knew who he was, right?
We just did the whole thing yesterday about R.I. Rhode Island.
Yeah.
DJ Elliott Delaware.
That's true. That is true.
But no, it was good seeing Jordan.
Jordan's promoting football in Australia.
And, yeah, it was nice to see him.
He was a good sport.
His line is always, my life is like a movie, right?
And, you know, he was, he was, he was,
year just all day long.
He's doing a thing with David Chang
in like a Toyota truck.
They're just doing some kind of interview.
I don't know.
He's making the rounds all over the place.
He's talking to the rock.
Yeah, it's amazing.
I saw that.
And I'm standing there, and there's all these people
surrounding them.
And the rock must be thinking, like,
wow, like, Jordan Mila is such a star
that all these people want his photo.
Yeah, you made the same joke on Twitter.
Okay, well, this is,
I think it's a worthwhile.
I thought it was a good joke, good delivery.
It wasn't sold.
Well, Joy is cracking up.
Is she cracking up in your response or am I joke?
Thank you, Joya.
Yes.
A little bit above.
And the response.
Yeah.
But Jordan is a star here.
And it's interesting to kind of compare.
You know, if you're looking for Jordan Milada in here,
even with hundreds and thousands,
I would say there's a thousand people in here.
Yeah, I would say so.
Yeah, you can find Jordan.
I mean, you might have to walk around a bit, but you can find Jordan.
Britain blends in a little bit more.
Nice transition, Zach.
Yeah, with Britton Covey, because Jordan Milata is 6'8,
Britain Covey, 5'8, a little different there.
Well, we did have a chance to talk to Brent Covey.
Britain sat down in this seat right here, spent some time with us, some good conversation.
We bring that to you right the second.
Britain Covey is with us here.
Thursday is the day when all the stars are here and Britain is here.
What am I wearing?
What is this?
Okay, so this is my company that I'm working with.
It's called a morpho and it's a weighted vest.
As people know, I'm the smallest on the team, right?
Sure.
If someone asked me to do.
Not in the locker room, but on the team.
Exactly.
Yes, I got Boston Scott by a few inches, maybe not strength.
But basically, if you would ask me to go put up like 225 and stuff, I'm just not strong like that.
but I've seen a lot of guys who are strong in the weight room that aren't great football players.
And so this company, what we've done is kind of create a vest that you can move around in
because I've always felt like it's better to lift the muscles that you know
you're actually going to use on the field.
Because, you know what I mean?
Someone can bench, but it's like, how often are you going to use that in a game, honestly?
If you go run routes with this, you know you're working the exact muscles that you're going to use.
It's like a donut for a baseball bat, but just for your whole body.
Exactly.
You feel quicker.
You can use that one in subsequent interviews.
I like that, yeah.
But they've also got like shirts and tights with the weights down the legs and stuff.
So it's not a lot of weight, but that's kind of the goal of it is it doesn't hurt your joints and it doesn't change your mechanics.
So Ted, Rath and our strength staff, they ordered like 30 of these once I gave it to them.
And so the whole weight room.
But it's helped me a lot, honestly.
And I credit a lot of like that I haven't missed any games in my career to.
stuff like this.
So my next interview, I'm going to be moving much faster.
Yeah.
Well, I put this on pregame, run a few, and then I take it off.
I do imagine for you, like, that has to be a major part of your, like, training consideration is...
100%.
I'm on the field with these giants.
How do I stay healthy?
How do I avoid big hits?
Absolutely.
And, I mean, even just with your performance, things like, say I put on 10 pounds, I still probably won't be able to block a linebacker as well as, you know...
Right.
Julio Jones will.
Right.
That's making a very small difference in your game.
A very small difference.
And so you have to find ways to do that differently.
And so, for example, I've found different ways to keep the linebacker's eyes on me
without having to actually block him by different stem patterns or different things.
And it's just as effective, if not more effective.
And so you kind of learn to focus on your strengths and kind of build on those
and not, you know, not spend too much time on things that make a minor difference.
You try and, you know what I mean?
That's kind of what you do.
And each person's different like that.
But there's a snugness to this, which is really comforting.
Yeah, no, it's great.
It's great.
I'm getting a nice hug.
I'm curious your perspective on this day, this experience.
You were here last year as a player.
Yeah.
Right?
So you didn't get the media row element of it.
Walking around, I just saw DeFonte, see Jordan Maelada.
a bunch of your teammates are here.
What's the experience like for you?
Yeah, I went and like tackled Jordan.
Did he fall down?
Yeah, I mean, out of that.
No, yeah, tackle.
No, it's cool.
I mean, I remember media last year at the Super Bowl,
and it was shocking to me how much there was.
You know, I remember the Super Bowl feeling more like a concert performance than a game.
Because everything, you know, even the timeouts were all like three minutes longer.
Yeah.
Half time was like 15 minutes longer.
And it just felt like a big performance.
Yeah.
And that was interesting.
It's cool to be on this side of things, because I remember that was like a little hard
to do in the game, you know.
It just like even you'd have a big momentum swinging whatever and then there'd be like a five-minute
timeout, you know, or something like that.
So not fun to be here, really, watching it, especially because of how frustrating everything
ended.
But I think at the end of the day, I think at this experience has been motivating for a lot
us. I was sort of like creepily following you to where you were going for your interview
because you were you were FaceTiming. It looked like you were on the phone with home.
We really, this is an Eagles show. But I think secondarily and maybe more importantly,
this is like a couple dads covering sports. Yeah, young dads too, like young kids. So I want to know
like how was life in the NFL different this year as a father? Oh, man. Well, I saw something
that I actually totally related to
that it said, watching your kids
excited when you
come home will redefine your whole idea
of success. And honestly, I think
that's true. Like,
I want to be successful in my career
and I, but I work
harder for even different reasons now.
And it was funny because
before one of the games,
I was able to get sideline passes
for my family, my wife
and my son. And
I had a fan yell at me,
focus on the game when I ran over to go say hi to them because I was saying hi for a few minutes
and come on get your head in the game and you know fans say stuff all the time I can tell stories like
you wouldn't believe but but uh it was more of a moment of realization that was like no you don't
understand this is what motivates me this is what makes me focus like when I'm back to return a punt
and I'm nervous I think of my son and I'm like dude I want to be able to tell my son that in the midst
Of all this pressure, I chose to do this, right?
You know what I mean?
So it really does.
You add a layer of motivation and you just want to be a good person.
I don't know.
Inside the locker room, is there a connection with you and Devante because you're experiencing the same thing at the same time?
We come in every morning and we're like, you sleep last night, you know?
Luckily, well, I don't get it.
Devante sleeps like four hours a night.
He is probably told you guys that.
I don't get him.
I mean, he sleeps four hours and then he takes like a nap.
So maybe that's why.
But yeah, I come in every morning with the different dads on the team,
and I'm like, dude, how's sleep training going for you?
Have you transitioned to solids yet?
You know, so it's pretty fun.
I want to sort of roll the dice a little bit here
because I know that you get asked a lot about your grandfather's book, right?
And Zach is a man of many sayings.
You just ripped off another saying.
Give me like both of you.
I want to go back and forth, like maybe three of your favorite sayings to live your life by.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
All right. Probably my favorite quote is by my grandpa, and he says life isn't about accumulation. It's about contribution. And I think that that is...
That's a good one. It's a great one because once you accumulate things about five years later, you look back and you just realize, you know, cool. But it doesn't bring you the same joy and fulfillment and purpose that contribution does, whether that's to people's lives, to relationships.
That's a great one. Over to you.
I think people care about Brits' perspective more than mine.
So my favorites, if you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.
Oh, I like it.
I think it was Henry Ford who said it, but I learned it from my father.
Basically, it's all about your attitude and your perspective.
Okay.
That's a very good one.
I'll give you a spin-off one.
All right.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have their shoes.
Is that Jack Handy?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I don't know if I live my life by that.
That's a good one.
I would say the harder you work, the luckier you get,
which I had like sayings from John Wooden in my wallet when I was a kid,
and that was one of them.
So it's not as funny as the one Britain offered,
but I wasn't prepared for the humorous ones.
Nor was I prepared for the inspirational ones.
Of course, but you've always got them.
Yeah, I do have them at the trigger.
You pulled them out pretty good.
Okay.
Also, he likes...
Don't be the thermostat, be the thermometer?
Yes, which actually, you know, before Jalen used to say,
Mark Sanchez, when he was in Philly,
I did a story on like being a quarterback,
and I asked Mark about that.
He said Mark Brunel taught him that,
and he thought it was the most important lesson
for a quarterback in the locker room
is be the thermostat, not the thermometer.
I since used that when I met my wife, like saying the same thing.
So, yeah, so it's a,
That came from Mark Sanchez.
If you see Mark around here, he gets credit for that.
And what's the reaction back home, Britain?
Like, you just finished this season.
You can finally, you know, be home, be a dad.
But like, oh, I got to go out to Vegas for a couple days.
Had that come over?
I mean, I've been home for, I mean, my wife's probably sick of seeing me.
So I'm sure she's, you know, kind of happy.
But it's been good.
I don't know how Tom Brady did it every year, man, with such a short off season.
It's really impressive.
It's been good.
And I'm excited.
My body's starting to feel good.
I had a little knee procedure.
Everyone has a procedure at the end.
of the year. I mean, my whole last half of the season, I was like, I'm relying on adrenaline
to get through this. So I had a little knee procedure done that helped me. And I'm already
feeling better and got that done like right when the season ended. And so I'm feeling good and
excited and talk to Coach Moore on the phone the other day, which is pretty cool. You know,
you get a new coordinator. I'm sure we'll have to go in a week early for OTAs and learn some new
stuff and playbooks. What was that conversation like?
great yeah it was it was it was just a simple kind of here's what he's trying to do this is kind of
what i am trying to do coach and and what i was doing towards the end of the season and um
i'm excited you know it wasn't like a big thing but it was more just like introductions and
and this is what we're going to try and do this year on offense but i know you if i can follow up on
that because we've known you for two years primarily as returner right right do you see yourself
having more of a role in the offense at least this
this spring and summer?
Yeah, I do.
I mean, towards the end of the season, you know,
I had guys advocating for me to play some more on the offense,
you know, guys on the team and veterans and things,
which was always comforting to me, you know,
that's like, okay, it's not just me seeing it.
And I think what really hurt me last year
was not being able to play any preseason
because if it were a real game, I would have played,
but I needed to be smart, right,
my knee and hamstring and stuff.
And so I definitely know that I can be a good receiver,
Especially, I'm not delusional.
I can't be a receiver one in the league, you know.
Even you've got to be special, even have different body types and things like that.
But I know I can be an effective slot receiver.
I mean, I do it in practice all the time.
And Jaylen trusts me, and he tells me that.
And that's what makes me happen.
But who am I, you know, Devonte, A.J. Julio.
It's kind of tough to crack that rotation, you know.
And the receiver three in this offense doesn't need to be ball.
centric when you've got AJ and Devante.
You just need to be able to affect the game in some way.
That's why they like the Quest, right?
With speed.
I don't know what Quest is doing.
Maybe he's coming back.
And for me, I believe I can do that because you have to be aware of where I am at all times.
You know, I'm too much of a threat in my mind, you know, speaking with the ball in my hands
and I'm smart.
That's kind of what I bring to the table.
And so I'm like, if I can affect the game even without touching the ball, I feel like it
opens things up. Like I said, don't make me block the linebacker. Let me run a bubble.
Bring the linebacker out of the box because he has to respect it.
Screens, little option routes. So, yeah. And one of the sort of, like, rudimentary things
that we have, like, learned from the outside of Kellan Moore's offense is, like, he does
want to take advantage of that slot spot. Are you the kind of person who has, like,
started to do your research on his offenses? I have, yeah. I mean, even when he was the
quarterback's coach and Cole Beasley was there, I've watched him. This year I'm going to be
training with Austin Collie. Let's looking on a rapper like Cole Beasley.
This year I'm going to be training with Austin Colley,
who if you remember was on the slot receiver for the Colts.
And he's, you know, he's brilliant.
And so I'm, you know, like I said, I don't know what my role will be.
I do believe that I'll get opportunities.
I'm not, you know, I'm not shy about my feelings about what I could do,
but it will take time, I know.
And so I just own my role, whatever that is,
and then hopefully it grows.
If I can sneak one last question because we have to wrap it up here is,
The Brazil game was announced this week.
Your reaction to that is...
You just did a whole interview in Spanish over there.
Uh-huh.
It's not Portuguese, but yeah, I'll bet there would be some Latin American radio down there that I can do it for.
I'm excited.
I've always wanted an international game, you know.
We're going to lean on Tanner McKee for the Portuguese, but I'll take care of the Spanish.
All right.
Well, Britt and Covey, thank you so much for taking the time with us here from Radio Row at the Super Bowl.
Feeling nice and loose.
Ready to go for my next interview.
Thanks so much, Britain. Thanks, guys. Good to see you.
All right. Back on the P.H.L.Y. Eagles podcast, and thank you to Britton Covey for taking the time.

Now you heard Britt and Covey and me, that was an interesting game by you.
I liked it.
going back and forth with some motivational saying, some maxims, if you will.
What's your favorite maxim?
Do unto others as you would have done unto you.
Interesting. Okay.
Okay.
Did not expect you to say that one?
Bring the pain to Spain.
Keep your head on a swivel.
Keep your head on a swivel.
And if you miss it, you miss it.
And what's that referring to?
It's just life.
Anything.
If you miss it, you miss it.
If you miss it, you miss it.
Do you try to figure out why you missed it so you can make it next time?
No, you don't think about it.
You don't mean.
If you miss it, you miss it.
You miss it, you miss it.
Okay.
Well, that's the great thing about having three people up here.
You heard three different perspectives?
Well, yeah, I mean, those are not things that I'm actually living my life by.
Those are just things to say.
I thought this was things we're living our life by.
That's what Britain and me were discussing.
Well, yeah, but I'm not like you.
I don't walk around with maxims in my pocket ready to tell me how to live my life.
Well, fair enough.
Okay.
I don't know.
What do you have them to say?
There's no inspiration.
That's what was so interesting is the two of you have these things at the ready.
Both of you have these things.
I don't think, you know, I'm not like that.
Okay.
That's not a good nor bad.
Not at all.
That's why Baskin-Robbins says 31 flavors.
See, you had one ready.
That's why, right?
You usually say that's why.
Yeah.
You know, see, you're focused on that.
What I am focused on.
is the training camp
crushes.
The people at the bottom of the roster.
The most important interview from here from Vegas.
Yeah, we're going to get into this, okay?
Because I want the listeners to know about,
I wouldn't say that this was an argument,
but maybe you felt some kind of way
about a disagreement here.
Your contention was that our listeners,
as Philadelphia Eagles fans,
would be more interested in the interview with Clay Harbor
than this following interview.
Clay Harbor is great.
He did a great job with that.
interview, he had brought some insight, put it on YouTube because there's only so many things
to fit into the show. Instead, I thought, and I know the sickos who are watching this show
on the Friday of Super Bowl Week, who have been with us for a long time, they're going to want
to talk to and hear from one of the fabled characters in the show history. DeAndre Carter,
one of the first Bo Wolf Camp crushes, just the second ever, and arguably the most
successful given the career that he has gone on to have coming in as the guy who was signed
on the second day of training camp on a on a wide receiver needy team makes an impression
makes the roster then gets cut makes his way across the league to the Washington
commanders to the Houston Texans to the Los Angeles Chargers now to the Las Vegas
Raiders making a name for himself so much so that he's here at Radio Row I think
that people want to hear from DeAndre Carter all right so this is nothing against
DeAndre. So weigh in in the chat.
Who would you rather hear from? DeAndre
Carter or Clay Harbor, whose
opinions you already have access to
as an Eagles fan? So my rebuttal.
First off, you had to had to watch
the show in 2018
to understand what
it is that we're referring to. That's not true.
We talk about the Bowulf Camp Crush
all the time. If you are a newcomer,
you know that this thing exists.
You can now trace the lineage back.
Julia is a perfect example. She didn't know
about D'Andre Carter before.
Now she knows that Bo is going to make a big deal out of somebody every year in training
camp.
This is one of the first guys.
Don't you think she wants the history lesson?
Second thing here.
Second.
DeAndre Carter spent, what, four months with the team?
Clay Harbor was with the team for three years.
Yes.
And I would argue that the Andre Carter made a larger impact.
I would actually argue that's not the case at all if you actually look at the total numbers.
Third thing, we had a conversation about.
the Eagles new offense from someone who studied the film, studied the numbers.
We had a conversation about...
It was so insightful that we put it right up on the YouTube page so people didn't have to wait to see it.
This way they get to get, like, Harvard's opinions.
We had a conversation about two tight-end sets from something, you know,
and the succession plan at tight end from someone who was once supposed to be part.
You didn't even watch the DeAndre Carver interview.
You have no idea what's coming up in this interview.
Someone who was supposed to be part of the succession plan, okay?
So we have that.
But that gets relegated.
So we can talk about an esoteric campground.
Who are you?
Who are you to take a dump on DeAndre Carter?
I'm not taking a dump on DeAndre Carter.
I'm just saying for a show about the Eagles, what would have more merit?
I want you guys to tweet at us.
I want you to reach out to us.
Let us know which interview you think is a bigger deal for the viewers and listeners of this show.
Because I don't think it's even close.
Okay.
Look, that's why Basking Robbins has 31 flavors, right?
you just use that
that's the point
right everyone has
has different ways I don't even
this is not debatable
I mean we did a whole thing
we finally got Matt Ryan the other day
a sick like a six year payoff
that's part of the show's
like deep history
we spoke to the war of the show
we spoke to the co-founder of the show
who was here when the DeAndre Carter thing
was happening and even he was like
laughing at the idea of it
He was on my side.
That's not what I recall.
Are you kidding me?
That's not what I recall.
You're living in a different world, my friend.
It's called reality.
It is not called reality.
But you know what?
I'm excited for the DeAndre Carter interview.
And by the way, shout out to DeAndre Carter, because you're absolutely right.
Oh, by the way, shout out to DeAndre Carter.
That's a nice thing to say.
You spend the whole time saying nobody should watch this.
But by the way, thanks for taking the time, DeAndre.
I'm not saying no one should watch it.
I admire.
I admire anyone who, like, builds an NFL career, especially from scratch, like DeAndre Carter has, right?
Against the odds, he's built it.
He deserves recognition.
I like that as part of the show.
I'm just like, it's like, all right, Zach over there.
I felt like, Zach over there.
I felt like Leonardo DiCaprio and Titanic and you were Kate Winslet, right?
Draw me like one of your French girls, Zach.
All right. Let's talk to D'Andre Carter, one of the great heroes of the Birds with Friends, P-H-L-Y, Eagles timeline,
one of the most important figures in show history,
and one of the people who is generous and nice enough with his time to spend some time with us here on Radio Row.
All right, we are back on Radio Row, and we have, for me, this is huge.
We have D'Andre Carter, and currently of the Los Angeles.
Vegas Raiders, formerly of the Houston Texans, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Washington
commanders, most importantly, in my eyes, the Philadelphia Eagles.
How are you, DeAnda?
I'm great.
I appreciate you guys having me on.
Now, you have no way of knowing this.
Right.
The first one, I believe, was Sue Opetta.
Okay.
The second one was DeAndre Carter.
Yes, sir.
I appreciate it.
And you came in.
I believe you were signed like the second day of camp.
Yeah, I was.
I was.
What do you remember about that summer?
It was a wild, it was a wild, you know, kind of situation.
They brought me in, like you said, day two at camp, really as like a camp body.
We had some guys getting, you know, go down in the receiver, in the receiver room.
So I was definitely a camp body.
But to me, it was an opportunity to go out.
and, you know, put the best version of myself on film.
I felt like I did, you know, what I needed to do to take advantage of the opportunity,
was able to make that roster.
It was actually the first time I made a roster in the NFL at that point.
So it was excited, man.
Philly's got a special place in my heart for sure.
That's great.
I mean, I'm gassing you up all summer.
I'm like, this guy, the way that he's running routes,
it's unlike anybody else on the roster right now.
He's so shifty.
I talked to, I think, some of your college coaches did the story for the athletic on it.
And that was, like, from there, you're,
career has been blossomed. So I want you to know that
from afar, there are
people who are rooting for you
and, like, reveling in the success that you have had.
For sure. I appreciate that. And I get, I still
get, you know, a little love from Philly
on, you know, Twitter or stuff like that from the Philly fans.
But I love the city, man, city got a lot of heart.
One of my favorite cities I played in, for sure.
So what are, like, of all the stops that you have had?
Yep. Take me through, like, your
favorite memory from each place.
Okay, let's go. I'm going to start. I've been on
19th, but we'll start.
Hundred teams.
Immaculate Grid is big for you.
For sure.
First team, Baltimore, playing with Steve Smith,
was kind of like my idol growing up.
Got to play with him for a little while.
Still great friends with him, so that was big for me.
After them, went to New England.
Tom Brady, I mean, got to play with Tom Brady.
That was a big one for me.
San Fran.
Kyle Shannon's first year there.
I would say my biggest memory for there is that we didn't start off the season
too well.
We was 0-12, but that's one of the most tight-knit locker.
rooms I've ever been a part of.
You never, you never dreaded going into work, even when we was on 12.
That's interesting.
Yeah, one of the tightest locker rooms I've been a part of.
So you're rooting for them this week?
I'm not rooting for anybody this week at all.
I just want to see a good game, honestly.
Just want to see a good game.
Let me see.
From San Fran.
Then to Philly, right?
Then to Philly, making my first NFL roster was big, for sure.
So you get that call the second day of camp to come in.
Like, what had you been doing?
I imagine it's hard to, like, feel like you're going to be able to hit the ground
running.
Yeah, I mean, I have been working.
out getting ready. I mean, you stay ready when you're a free agent, you know, at that time, period.
So I had just been working out training and stuff like that before Philly Col.
Okay. Okay, so making your first roster.
Philly. You're in Washington, right?
Washington scored my first NFL touchdown in Washington on a kick return against the Atlanta Falcons.
Big memory for me there. After Washington, we'll go Chargers.
Overall, my best season in the NFL.
Okay.
Also, another great locker rule, made a lot of some, you know, a lot of my good friends that I still have today that I met on the Charters.
And then Las Vegas Raiders last year, I would say just won the stadium, the fan, the culture.
And also it was, the Raiders was my family's favorite team growing up.
My whole family's Raiders fans.
So being able to play from when they were in Oakland.
From when they were Oakland.
Being able to play for my family's home team was pretty special.
What about Houston?
Oh, I did skip Houston.
That's been my longest thing in NFL.
I was in Houston for three years.
Biggest memory, one of my first playoff game in Houston
against the Bills of 2019, which was a big moment for us.
Okay.
Now, you are here not just to talk about the Eagles times
and being one of my favorite players.
You're here to talk about, tell us what it is.
Correct, yeah.
I partnered up with the NFL Alumni Health Association
and who also partnered up with Beyond Time.
Type 1. It's an organization that focuses around bringing awareness and education to type 1 diabetes,
a cause that's near and dear to my heart because I'm type 1 diabetic myself.
So beyond type 1, and basically it's just bringing awareness to the symptoms that you can be experiencing
that will lead you to go get screened and get checked, freaking urination, unquenchable thirst,
a lot of weight loss, all symptoms of, you know, somebody that's pre-diabetic or, you know,
into that direction, you should go get screen for sure.
You can find more information about BeyondTyone at beyondtieuxone.org.
So yeah, go check it out to sport.
You got that whole thing down.
That's pretty good.
All right, so just so you know, like if throughout the rest of your NFL career,
which we hope lasts a long time,
for sure.
If you see Sioux Opeta, if you see Coyote Awashika,
if you see Reed Blankenship, if you see Christian Ellis or Tanner McKee or
who's my other core for?
can't remember. If you see those guys, you've got to give them
the Bo Wolf Camp Crush handshake.
I definitely will. What's the handshake?
I don't know. We can come up with it.
Oh, I like that.
No, it's a, read, me and...
Me and Reed actually had the same age, so I know Reed pretty good.
This is big.
Yeah, for sure.
All right. Well, D'Andre, best of luck.
Enjoy things, and thanks so much.
Appreciate it.
Now, we move on to...
We're sort of transitioning from Eagles, Eagles-Related,
not Eagles-related, and then into the game itself.
the Super Bowl game.
But before we get to that, we had a little fun with some friends of ours in the NFL
Media Sphere, Josh Norris and Hayden Winks of Underdog's Fantasy, a nice extended conversation
about some of the stuff going on with the Eagles, and then a little impromptu draft that
is very much up Zach's alley.
Let's watch that now.
All right, we are back on Radio Row once again with P-H-L-Y.
And, you know, you come to these league events, Zach, there are some people.
you just hope to see.
They make you happy.
And Hayden Winks is one of those people.
Bang!
From Underdogs.
Unfortunately, Josh Norris is also here.
Josh, how are you?
I am so glad to be here with the most interesting man in football.
Zach Berman.
Zach Berman, that's right.
I appreciate that.
My favorite name of a company is Underdogs.
Love it.
Yeah, you know, do you guys pay him because he has a book called Underdogs?
Guys, I got to be honest.
Do you?
You guys.
Kickback.
kind of got me through COVID in a way where I have no affiliation to the Philadelphia Eagles.
All those bottles of Ivermectin, I said to me.
As you all don't.
Double vacs, thank you very much.
As you guys know, I would just randomly jump into your chat and talk and want to be around the duo that I'm sitting in front of.
So whenever we do this in person and not just be internet pals, I absolutely love it.
I appreciate, although I have a bone to pick.
Oh, no.
Last year at the Super Bowl, Bow and Shield got the invite.
to the bus.
Yeah.
And I'm sitting in my room there watching it.
And I'm like, see, I felt like I was in high school again, and Joy was at a party,
I wasn't invited to, right?
I feel like if we invite you on the bus, we'd be drafting like memoirs or something.
Now, I've never read one in my entire life.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
Guilty as charge there.
Yeah.
Hayden, what's new with you?
Uh, not a whole lot.
What are you guys doing here?
Congratulations.
Hey, that was two years ago.
No.
A whole lot.
Yeah.
It feels new.
That's a good time.
Since we last spoke.
Have you taken your honeymoon yet?
Maybe next, yeah, a couple months.
Maybe you've taken a slow.
Okay.
All right.
You're playing it slow.
You don't want to come on too strong.
He's literally 32 wide receivers deep in prospect evaluations.
Yeah, I'm in prospect.
He's not taking a, okay.
He's not taking a vacation.
Tell us what you think about these guys.
What position?
Do we have a, well, you said wide receivers.
Okay.
Well, Neighbors is the guy.
That's the guy.
That's your guy.
That is, he's the guy.
More than Marvin Harrison.
You're on a Philadelphia podcast, you know.
I just want to warn you.
Like Marvin Harrison, Jr., St. Joseph's Prep.
grew up in Abbottonton, we can go on the whole thing.
here i think i think everyone knows how good marvin harrison is i'm not sure if people are ready to put
malik neighbors into that tier though all the way up there i think that he's the best wide receiver
prospect i've watched since doing this which had been like four or five years uh i think he's like
james the same exact burst similar size profile but he plays like a j brown he's not as thick as
a j brown i know this is a high tier to get to but the guy bounces off defenders and i think he's
going to run like four threes and yeah i would draft him like four and he runs hot routes guys
So he's not eligible to play with us.
He was number two on Devon.
No use for that.
Yeah, he was number two on Devante Smith-Hismiths-Hisman voting.
I'm sure you've talked about this 100 times.
What is this feeling of the common ground that Siriani and Kellyn Moore are going to find?
Because the offense is, I'm a huge fan of Kellyn Moore, even though this is what, his third team in the last three years.
To me, he set the blueprint for what Mike McCarthy followed this year in terms of, hey, we're going to,
work this player in the slot and work him out wide and work that in the intermediate and
downford portions and just create explosive plays off of that.
And I actually think for the Eagle side of that, there's two players that can do that
versus only having CD Lamb that can operate in that way, only having Keen Allen that
could operate in that way.
So I am highly intrigued of what he is going to do from a schematic standpoint of motions incorporated,
personnel groupings incorporated versus, as you guys know, and as everyone out there knows,
same three wide receiver sets,
same static stuff, two by two,
and we're just going to run what we run,
and then the defense knows what's going to happen.
And working the middle field.
Working the middle field is a big deal.
Well, the middle field is a big deal,
and there's a question,
is that more Jalen or is it more of the offense?
We asked the same question.
And, of course, it's some combination of the two.
As for the question about, like,
Kellyn Moore and Nick Siriani creating this offense,
I mean, the company line is that this is Kelly Moore's offense.
And Nick is going to let him do that.
I question how,
likely it is that Nick is going to be willing to be completely hands-off.
But I think, like, from day one installs, it's going to be Kellyn Moore's offense.
And he's, you know, it would be silly for him not to be bouncing ideas off of Nick Siriani, right?
And what some of these guys do well.
But I am, it's like a, it's one of the great questions that we've been talking about all week is,
how are these new coaches going to get along with each other?
I don't know the answer.
Well, I think the only thing, they'll get along with each other if they can pick up a blitz.
That's kind of the key here.
and Kellan Moore at Dak Prescott was like basically the best in the league.
They were very good against the Bliss.
Basically the best in the league and if that figured out, I think they'll probably get along.
They also need a little bit of help at wide receiver, which is silly to say because they've got maybe one of the best tandems in the league.
But tell me as you're going through these guys, who's like a round three, round four, round five guy that you like?
Who is barely than Quez Watkins?
Or Julio Jones.
Julio Jones not coming back?
Julio's coming.
Jack still, he has not yet cleared concussion protocol, but Zach, he has not yet cleared concussion protocol,
but Zach believes that he is coming.
Goodness, I mean, the audacity for someone to admire the career that Julio Jones has had.
Totally different thing.
Like, this bold take that Julio Jones is a serious.
I saw Jerry Rice at the senior ball.
I didn't think the Eagles should have signed him.
It's like goodness for the amount of times we focus on some esoteric player,
Julio Jones comes in.
It's like, oh, Julio Jones.
Zach loved Rainy Moss's Titans years.
Yeah.
Not bad, right?
And Julio Jones is Titan years.
That's true.
I forgot about those.
Jerry Rice is Seattle Seahawks here.
He's probably sneaking into round one,
but the guy that I loved was Ladd-McConkie.
I mean, he's going to get all the comps,
the Edelmans and the West Welkers.
Everyone thinks he's going to be a slot receiver.
Well, at Georgia, he was running double moves.
He could run the post-routes.
He was winning contested catches.
I think he's going to run faster than people think,
sneaky athlete alert.
And he can probably play inside or outside.
And I think that there's a chance
that he might end up going round one.
I thought he was the best, like, pure route runner.
Obviously, wide receivers.
It's a lot more than that, like just how big and fast you are matters a bunch.
But pure route running, tempo, all that stuff.
I thought Ladd-McConkie was the best, and I've gone through about like 15 of them.
Since I'm on your show, I get to pick your brain, right?
Do you think that Howie's ideas of how to build a roster apply defensively in 2024,
where now the most efficient and effective passes on offense or over the middle of field?
And Howie is very good at his job, but something is,
live by is obviously not investing much
in the spine of the defense, whether that takes linebackers,
safeties, all that stuff.
Do you think he's very smart, obviously?
Do you think he will change based on the chain of hands,
McVease, and how this tree just continues to expand?
You know, I did ask him at his end of season press conference,
did the way that this season played out
and the overinvestment in the defensive line
and their underperformance change the way that you sort of think about
roster building?
And his answer was, we believe in Nikovi D.
Oh
Okay
I would say that
The answer to that question is
Just look where
I think it
Is the look where the cap dollars
Are allocated around the league
And how he looks at it
Like the delta between
A stud defensive lineman in the first round
And then what you pay that guy on the open market
Compared to the delta between
If you hit on a linebacker in the first round
And then what you pay on the open market
It's it's night and day there right
So he now
He's not against
drafting a linebacker.
He took Davy on Tower in the third round.
He missed.
Took Nicobi Dean in the third round,
we'll see.
But it's just a matter of
they need to identify the right ones.
I think the real question is
how much juice does Vic Vanjo have
coming into the building?
I imagine he has a lot of juice
and he's not going to want to go out there
with Nicobi Dean and Zach Cunningham
as his week-win linebackers.
And so I think that they're going to make
some kind of investment
in the spine of the defense.
like my guess, my supposition is it's like a free agent safety and then using some mid-round
draft capital.
Because they basically tried to pull every lever, right?
Like they went for the Shaq.
Linder signing, then the trade for even before that for Kevin Byard.
And then he is almost certainly going to get cut because of the cap roundifications.
And so is it every year just the turnover here?
And you hope these veterans that come in can hit the ground running and so on and so forth rather than.
And that sort of is it.
Yeah.
Well, if we had...
Who might have to question this team that is one of the great winning organizations,
but then, again...
You sound like him.
Yes.
2024 is very different than even 2018 with how often serving run and how the middle of the field
is just being exported over and over and over again.
And I, again, Howie, very intelligent, has built multiple different styles of teams.
I just wonder, maybe part of it is, hey, our offense doesn't attack the middle field,
why should our defense protect at the same time?
That's fair.
I do think at the start of free agency last year, or let's say around the time of the combine,
they thought they would have a better chance of resigning C.J. Gardner Johnson and letting James Bradbury walk.
And I think that what CJ wanted in free agency was beyond what they were willing to spend,
what they thought Bradbury was going to get in free agency was actually less than, you know, what they thought.
His market came back to them. If they had to do that over again, I think they probably would have spent more for C.J.
and not kept Bradbury.
All right, let's have a little fun.
Oh, okay.
Let's do a little draft, maybe a two-round draft, snake down and back.
Zach's a big Vegas guy.
Okay, and he's been talking.
This is my first time in Vegas.
What do you think?
Really.
Did you just get here?
Yeah, last night.
Okay, so it's so early.
All right.
You've seen this.
You've had like eight seconds of being outside.
I think people are built different here.
I mean, just walking by a bar this morning at 7 a.m.
It was ashtray, beer, coffee, and, you know, playing slot machine while sitting at the bar.
And that was just Zach on his way to the show.
You know, my thing, Zach, is I don't know if I understand how to experience Las Vegas
because it's amazed to even get outside in these places.
And I also don't know how to play casino games, any of that stuff.
So I'm just a novice at all.
I need to stay out with you until like 9 p.m., I guess.
9 p.m. for generous.
Well, he also can't go outside, so the summer in Vegas is hosted.
This is his pride right place.
All right.
All right.
So let's do a Super Bowl locations draft.
Oh, goodness.
So down and back, Zach will let you have the first pick.
Although maybe Josh should have the first pick.
Yeah, let's have the guest have the first pick.
Okay.
And this is for you specifically.
You're not Roger Goodell.
You're Josh Norris.
I know, let me be clear.
I know it is going to be cold, first off.
But to me, there is no better downtown centralized experience
than a place we all know and love,
and that is Indianapolis.
where
it's a tough
101
that is 1-1
I think of the combine
Indianapolis
how much we enjoy it
I'm not saying
for all the peripheral pieces
we're going to be working
the entire time anyways
you could have got that
you could have got that at 2A
what are we doing
so we're going with Indianapolis
India
read the board
wow wow wow
well if I have the second pick
I'm going to go a little bit
off the board
I want San Diego
we'll move the chargers back there
it is just the best
little downtown area
weather is going to be
Where you live?
No, I live a little bit north of it.
But yeah, it is just the best.
So he wants to honeymoon.
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
But the great downtown scene, better weather.
You got the beaches, the whole thing that Josh is afraid of, the sun.
But it's a gorgeous little town.
What are you afraid of more of the sun or like the water?
The sun.
The sun's a problem for the sky.
Very much.
SPF60, if it surpasses, let's say less than 27 clouds in the sky.
Yeah. Okay. That's fair. All right. I like that. I like that one. I mean, I'm going to take the one that I think is like the consensus number one on the board. I'm taking nah, man.
Yeah, that's that's one more. You've never been to New Orleans. Love in New Orleans. Great food. Got a good infrastructure to host the Super Bowl. Give me New Orleans.
So now you get two. Yeah. So snake. I will go Vegas for the reason of you. This is you like you're looking to high five time. Donahoe. You got this one. You got this one. You got this one. You got this.
the guy you want.
So similar to what Josh said, as far as like a convention city.
Yeah.
Okay.
You can walk everywhere.
Hotels are affordable if you want them to be.
You can find every type of food you could want.
The airport's near, like from a convenience perspective, you don't have to get in a car if you don't want to.
Okay.
You can get from place to place walking.
The weather, not this week, but typically is going to be good.
There's nonstop flights, and it can be affordable if you want it.
affordable. So I think
Vegas is strong from a Super Bowl
perspective because there are
better cities, but if you're thinking about
Super Bowl logistics matter so much.
Like, you know, like San Francisco is so
spread out, right?
L.A. even is so spread out. L.A. was awful.
Yeah, so you're trying to think
logistically what makes sense.
Easy. Okay. I like that.
Okay, your second pick?
My second pick.
So, you know,
I'm going back and forth
between
I'm going to go with Tampa, okay?
Oh.
You love Tampa.
No one in the world
watched Tampa as much as you love Tampa.
That is a really...
We're more St. Petersburg people.
I was...
That's right.
I wasn't going to say my argument.
But no, Tampa is very...
Actually, I take that back.
E.J. Smith loves Tampa.
I'm going to say Tampa's very navigable.
It's, yeah, I mean,
actually, if I would want to take that back,
I already said it, I already picked it, I can't.
Turned in the car.
No, because I was going back and forth between Miami and Tampa.
The thing is, when it's in Miami, everything is so spread out.
If, like, you're confined to South Beach or you're confined to Fort Lauderdale, it would be different.
But if you're staying one place and things are going on 45 minutes away, it doesn't do you any good from a Super Bowl perspective.
I love Zach's brain because we're on this side of the table.
We hope that it gets studied one day.
I mean, for real.
We're not on the fan enjoyment side.
We want ease of access.
We want credential pickups.
We want where's the closest Starbucks, which is walkable, right?
We don't want everything spread out where you're stuck in traffic for 55 minutes and you miss things.
That's very true.
How would you feel about Philadelphia hosting a Super Bowl?
It can host everything.
Like to me, well, the World Cup's coming in 2026.
July 4th in 2026, the 250-year anniversary of the United States is going to be a quarterfirm.
finals game potentially
between the U.S. and England?
I mean, come on. I mean, that's like so
far fetched that it could be the
hardest. It could potentially be between
Morocco and Argentina.
Exactly.
I'm selling the audience here. I'm selling
Philly. Like, how great is that?
They don't need a rematch. That one was already won decisively.
Well, I mean, it could be won decisively by
the U.S. again in 2026.
But no, I think Philly's so good for
it could host everything.
Zach, we'll say, went to an Assonville
match, the son.
in Philadelphia, had never been to a sporting event in Philadelphia, period, and just the
trio of stadiums in that South sec, I don't even know where I'm talking about, but it was very
cool and seems very one-off unique to the city of Philadelphia, and I've never seen it before
and anywhere else.
E.J., who we just mentioned, will like that you're a villa man.
He's a budding-assan villa fan.
Really?
Yes.
I'm a brighton man myself.
You and I, though, are like minds.
Let's put it that way.
All right, I will go.
You know what?
I'm not going to pick it because of the – it's too spread out, especially the airports, and it's too cold.
But I do love a Chicago.
I feel like a Chicago would do well as the Super Bowl.
I thought we're picking places that have actually had Super Bowls.
No, it could be anywhere.
All right, well, then I would take my Tampa pick back in a heartbeat.
Yeah, I took San Diego.
But you're an outdoor Super Bowl?
I'm taking London.
Oh, cool, course.
I mean, come on.
This is, like, this is crazy.
Why?
Why is that crazy?
It has to be a place that –
No, this could be anywhere.
That's like me doing a fantasy football draft and taking Mike Trout, right?
You can't do that.
Yeah, that's funny.
No, so San Diego's literally hosted a Super Bowl before.
Okay, you can't pick Chicago.
They never hosted.
Okay, how about Lambo Field?
They were talking about any, Lambo Fields never hosted a Super Bowl before.
Indianapolis has hosted a Super Bowl.
You don't make the rules.
He is right now.
Yeah.
We're talking about when we pitched this, I was thinking about cities that have hosted
Super Bowl.
What did you take number one again?
Indy.
They posted a Super Bowl.
Indoor.
Yeah.
Gross.
You can go Minneapolis if you want?
I'm thinking London.
Okay.
Can I change my pick then?
No.
No.
No, no, go ahead, Zach.
That's what the next pick is in.
It is hard.
This will be more fun, Zach.
Go ahead.
Actually, it's hosted it, but I...
He just...
You can't do that.
He's...
He's not...
I think you could go Dallas.
Dallas is a good one.
You got to...
No, no.
I was going to say New York.
Okay.
All right.
Go ahead, Dayton.
I was thinking we've got to finish this.
I was originally thinking Nashville or New York.
I have not been to Nashville, though.
Just seems like it be...
Great food city.
Yeah, it seems like they've got enough things going on.
Name a city in the world.
New York.
Great food system.
Everything's got some good food.
It's on you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
She'll meet that this debate last week.
Yeah.
We were talking to someone I said Nashville's a great food city.
You can find great food anywhere.
She'll say you call every stock in the city.
You can't just say, oh, great food city.
Like, oh, yeah, they got air there.
Well, I also, like, we go on a vacation.
We're there for three days.
We went to six restaurants, and we're taking that sample size
and saying that this entire city doesn't have good food.
I'll go to New York.
How are our relations between New York and Philadelphia?
I'm a West Coast guy.
Good, bad, same.
I feel like it used to be more combative than it is, man.
What do you think?
Yeah, it's like Eli and Peyton Manning, right?
I mean, you know, Peyton gets all the hype, right?
But Eli, if you really know, you respect Eli.
Zach being an Eli guy is not surprising.
I was not expecting Eli Jr.
I'm also a Peyton guy, though.
He's in everybody.
The Manny family, yes.
But yeah, no, I covered the guy.
First down the giant speed, he walked over and introduced himself to Eli Manning.
Zach Berman gave him a real strong handshake, you know, great to meet you.
And Eli's like, who is this guy?
You know, Eli talks after losses and not after wins?
Oh.
Yeah, so?
Accountability.
You have to respect it.
To respect that, yes.
All right, close us out.
Okay, favorite city in the world, I'm not picking this,
favorite city in the world, it was Paris.
You know you can go across the street, experience Paris.
My man, thank you.
It really is like the perfect city.
But the one I'm going to pick is Charlotte because...
So you have to leave.
March 11th, Underdog is launching a first sports book in North Carolina.
Nice, congratulations.
That's awesome.
In North Carolina.
So Charlotte is the answer, and you know, David Tepper deserves something.
And are you like relocating?
getting back home anytime.
I am actually.
Are you really?
Wow.
Congratulations.
That's an awesome conversation.
Brooklyn rent got too high.
I mean, it is getting higher and higher every day we speak.
Okay.
Well, thank you.
Of course.
Anytime.
Any time.
Any time for you, though.
All right.
Josh Norris, Hayden Winks, underdogs.
The Philadelphia Eagles' emotional road to Super Bowl victory can be bought in stores anywhere.
That is the book by Zah Berman.
And on eBay as well.
And on eBay as well.
and give us the quick pitch on Underdogs.
Yeah, if you guys are into the NFL draft for agency,
and then later on your fantasy football leagues,
Underdog Fantasy Football channel on your YouTube page.
All right.
Well, we appreciate you guys stopping by.
Have a good rest of the week here at the Super Bowl,
and we're back with more on PHLY.
All right, we are back on Radio Row,
Bo, Wolfsack Berman,
and we transition now to the game
that is coming up on Sunday here at Allegiance,
stadium in Las Vegas.
But before we sort of get into the guts of the game, which I don't even know if Eagles fans care too much about this game.
A little bit of like PTSD with the Chiefs in the Super Bowl and the team that you hate the most.
Sure.
Right now, maybe in the Niners.
But a fun little exercise with Blaine Gabbert, the backup quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs.
This is a trope, a bit of a redo from Eagles esoteric.
a past on Media Night, had a chance to catch up with Blaine Gabbard to go through all of the
touchdown passes in his career, dating back to his days with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He has traveled all over the league.
Does he remember them?
Is he as good of a sport as Josh McCown?
Who could possibly be?
But let's check that out now.
Blaine, I've come prepared, as you said, 13 years in the league.
Yeah.
You've been around the block.
I have the list here of the 28 different players, so you have thrown touchdown.
passes too in your career. How many do you think you can name? I'll give it a good run.
Cecil shorts. Seesal shorts. Four, that's the second most that you have. Mike Thomas.
Mike Thomas, the first one. Yeah. I threw him a Hail Mary at the end of the first half.
I remember that. Yeah. It rained like 14 inches that game. Coach HAC or O-Line coach still shows a clip
of that hill Mary. Okay, I like that. Which is classic. As teach tape on like how to not let it happen or
It's just a play that when they're kind of guarded the goal line.
We kind of ran that one.
Mercedes-Lewis.
Maurice.
I don't know if I threw one to Zach Miller in the regular season.
You did one.
Yep.
Your two.
Justin Blackman?
Justin Blackman?
Yep.
Jason Hill.
Jason Hill.
You got three to him.
Yep.
All right.
You're doing this chronologically.
that smart. San Francisco.
You got Garrett Seleck, Vance McDonald.
Vance McDonald's, the most.
Five to Van Gogh.
Garrett Seleck, did you get that one?
Yeah, Anquam Bolden.
Bruce Ellington or Quentin Patton?
Yes.
Am I missing any from Jacksonville?
You are missing one, two, three, four.
Ron Robinson any?
No, Laurent Robinson.
Greg Jones.
No, Greg Jones.
There is one offensive.
lineman on here, I believe.
Guy Wimper.
Guy Wimper.
Nicely done.
What was the play call there?
That was a long time.
I have no idea.
You said I'm missing three more from Jacksonville?
Yes.
Let's see.
One was a fifth round pick.
Little guy played the slot.
Spurlock?
Spurlock is there.
Not the one I was saying, but yes.
One guy you threw two to initial CW.
Yeah
This is a guy who
I mean these are some great
Remember the names
I do not remember this guy
Give me a hint
Not East but
Oh
Yes
He played at Fresno State
Yeah
God mean
Chastin West
Yeah
Chastin West
And then the other one
That's from Jacksonville
Jared Diller
Oh yeah JD from Rice
Yeah
He was there my rookie here
San Francisco
I've got
Three more
we cover the Eagles.
There's one former eagle on here
who made a big play in the Super Bowl.
You had three to them in San Francisco.
Played in Philly?
Yeah, but after San Francisco, Baltimore before that.
Oh, Tori.
Tori.
And then, did you say Jeremy Curley?
I did not say Curley.
Here's my draft class from TCU.
Okay.
And then...
I'm out of crown a lot of Shillard.
One more San Francisco.
Kick returner, I think.
Give me a hint.
J.S.
J.S.
Bart and Lisa.
Oh, wrong.
Jerome Simpson.
Yes.
Front flip.
Remember the front flip in Sincey?
Oh, there you go.
Awesome.
Okay.
All right, now you go to Arizona.
So you got Larry.
Yes.
Jaron Brown.
Yes.
Nicely done.
Ricky Seals Jones.
Yes.
Three to him.
That's it for Arizona.
Yep.
And you got four in Tennessee.
Tennessee would be Michael Pruitt.
Nice.
Tennessee, I'm trying to think.
Michael Pruitt.
It wouldn't have been Corey Davis.
Nope.
Give me some hints.
Tight end.
Stock?
Yeah.
And then both receivers whose first name start with T.
with T.
T.
Taj Sharp.
Correct.
And give me a hint.
The other one's a double T.
Tim, the
Toolman.
Oh,
Taiwan and Taylor.
Yes.
And then three in Tampa.
It would have been
Gronk.
Yes.
Mike.
Yes.
And
got no idea who else.
Russell Gage.
Oh, Russ.
Yeah, last year.
I mean, I feel like
Grank, Mike Evans,
Anquam Bold, and Larry Fitzgerald,
you've got a lot of Hall of Famers on them.
Those are some good players to play with.
All right.
Do you have a favorite touchdown pass?
I threw one to Gronky.
We were in Detroit.
I was like, we lined up pre-snap, and I looked over to the left.
I go, Gronk, get your head around because we knew what they were in.
It was a wide overdone.
So that was a pretty fun one.
You know, they're all fun.
We have a good time out there.
Thank you to Blaine Gabbard for taking the time with us on Media Night.
Let me tell you now about true fan travel and the tailgate party that they are having on Sunday in Vegas for the big old game.
That's right.

I love that they put the private restrooms in there.
That's a huge deal.
Absolutely.
Yeah, for a tailgate, you don't usually see that.
You don't want to be peeing sitting down with the commoners.
You always want your own bathroom.
Yeah, private restrooms, absolutely.
So, reserve your spot now to the all-inclusive
VIP tailgate and watch party,
or they have an option for private cabinsers.
Bannas available must be 21 or older, but head to truefan.
dot travel slash trip slash Super Bowl 2024 to learn more.
Okay, so how are you like, give me your general excitement level for this game.
What are you most excited to see about the game?
Well, if I'm being honest with you, what I'm most excited for this game is watching with my son.
Oh.
Because I've never watched the Super Bowl with him.
And he's at that age where he's starting to get into football.
So nice.
And I love my job.
There's nothing else I'd rather be doing.
But one of the things is I don't get to watch football with my son, right?
So he's excited for the Super Bowl.
I'm excited to watch it with him.
So that's that.
You guys are going to do a little party?
What are you going to do?
Yeah, yeah.
We're going to have some family over.
My brothers are coming.
Right.
I'm excited to, well, I would have loved to cover the game, right?
But short of covering the game, I'm excited to, like, experience it as a consumer.
We haven't had that in a while, right?
Well, we had it two years ago, I guess, but...
I mean, wouldn't you at this point with knowing that,
you've gotten Reed, who's excited about the game,
but wouldn't you rather do that than cover this game,
which does not affect the Eagles?
I'd still rather cover the game, but...
Huh.
Yeah, I love being...
Why?
I love being around the action.
You know, there's...
Like, you get your competitive juices flowing, right?
I would love to cover the game,
but I'm excited to why...
I can't wait short of covering the game.
I'm excited to watch the game with it.
Okay.
But, yeah, so as far as the game itself, what am I looking forward to, is, well, I don't mean that as like a shot at Reid.
But I love it.
It kind of came off that way, but I wasn't going to say it.
No, I, there's, look, when you're, as you know, when you do this for a living, you want to be where the action is, right?
Yeah, but we have.
We've been here where the action is all week long.
Sure, but.
It's very cool to cover Super Bowl.
No doubt about it.
Exactly.
So that's awesome.
It is the coolest thing you can do as a reporter,
but really when it's the team that you cover in the game, I don't know.
Yeah, I mean, I've done it, but it's obviously better one.
It's the team you cover in the game.
You just know more, it's more meaningful.
But the games that I've covered, the Super Bowls that I've covered when the Eagles weren't in it,
were awesome to cover too, and they're memorable.
And I'm going to have a memory in my own right.
But yeah, just as I want to be where the action is.
Like that's that that that that gets you want to be where the people are that gets my blood flowing like that that that's what excites me.
So I want to be where the action is.
That's that's the best way I can describe it for this game itself.
I mean Patrick Mahomes and this kind of this quest for greatness.
I'm looking forward to seeing that same thing with Andy Reed.
I mean I've studied Andy Reid.
I've saw the end of his Eagles career.
I've seen all 25 years here.
It's amazing to think that he could be winning.
winning Super Bowl number three, right?
And so that's what jumps out to me.
I don't find the Niners' storylines as compelling,
but just a really good football game.
That's what I'm excited.
It's what the point spreads?
It's one and a half.
I believe so.
Yeah, this is a close game.
This is not one of those big mismatches.
So curious to see.
How many Super Bowls would Andy Reid have to win
for him to be considered the best coach of all time in your eyes?
Oh, good question.
probably five.
You think five would get him over Belichick for you?
Belichick's at...
Belichick's at what, six?
Yeah, six.
Belichick's at six.
Now, he includes the ones who has an assistant, right?
But six is the head coach, right?
So I would say, yeah, probably six.
Look, we're...
I think you would have to tie him.
We're ring counters, so it has to be six.
Who's we?
Like, we in society, our ring counters.
honors.
Okay.
Yeah, it's always the
LeBron Michael Jordan debate.
I mean, I can't tell me how many time.
Well, it's been a...
The promise, neither of them has done it without arguably the best
quarterback in the history of the world as their quarterback.
So Nick Wright and I used to always have these LeBron Kobe debates.
And the rings would be
my argument all the time.
Yeah, I find that wanting.
I find that unmoving.
Okay.
LeBron's a better player.
That's why Baskin Robinson's
31 flavors
At this point I'm just trying to get joy at the last
No, that's good
The more you do it, the better it is
That's the entire Bow-Wolf School of Comedy
I mean, LeBron's a much better player than Kobe Bryant
It's not even close
I mean, yeah, he's more
He's from a physical perspective
And he's amazing
There's, I don't think it has to be LeBron or Kobe
I always thought that in Neal's locker room
when, you know, like Howard Eskin and Tori Smith, shout out at the Tory on our show this week.
They'd have these really loud debates.
And I'm like, why can't you just appreciate both of them, right?
Sure.
And I really appreciate LeBron.
And I, I mean, to me, and maybe it's just because I was, I mean, Kobe was the player when I was a kid, right?
And you got to understand generational here.
So I don't mean to take this tangent.
Growing up in the Philadelphia area, when you know, when you're getting in the basketball.
Poor Julie was going to be like a four-hour show.
Seven, eight, nine, ten years old.
okay that's when that's when Kobe's in high school
a Kobe graduated high school 96 right 95 96 was the year
that it was his his senior year I'm like so impressionable
I'm following it LeBron was like my
was my age basically he graduated a year ahead of him
famously played against your brother yeah I saw him play in high school
taped over by your dad for your daughter's dance recital
my sister's dancer your sisters I wish I yeah that's that's what I meant
Yeah, but no, I would say that that's what always made me a Kobe guy, but I so appreciate LeBron.
Okay.
Yeah.
But how do we get, oh.
I don't know.
You didn't even make like a compelling case there.
You're just explaining your own childhood.
I was saying because I looked at.
All you said was I was a kid and I liked Kobe Bryant.
I looked up to Kobe as a kid.
I didn't look up to LeBron.
Like I was already at that age, right?
So that's the thing.
I wasn't looking up to LeBron.
I was looking up to Kobe.
So there's a certain type of reverence that I had for Kobe.
Because when you're a different type of sports fan, I would say,
when you're 8 and 9, 10, then you are at 18, 19, 20.
Of course.
Yeah, so that's what I will say.
Okay.
Well, it's a good transition because we go from Kobe Bryant and LeBron James
to Joe Tunney and Matt Pryor.
Yes.
Two of the very important players in this game, Joe Tuni may not play.
Matt Pryor probably won't play.
But we talked to both of them on Media Night.
This is our last piece of canned content
before we come back with a Goose Wisely for the Super Bowl.
Joe Tooney talking about all the good stuff
and maybe a little reflection on Prince Tegu Onoga,
which you need in your life.
And Matt Pryor reflecting on his time in Philadelphia.
We're going to roll those two together
and come back with Goose Wiesley on the other side.
So I've got to ask you the most important question
that's on everybody's mind.
What is your best Prince Tago story?
I'm trying to think
he really likes soccer
I always we like soccer a lot
like the Nigerian national team
and we always you know during
the AFCONs going on
yeah yeah and so we always
always I always just really enjoy
and he's great at like he can juggle a soccer ball
so well and so he's
he's super athletic and he's got good feet
yeah yeah super coordinated and
so we always just you know
when he said that I just thought of
in the locker room doing stuff like that
or talking soccer so yeah
who is your least favorite eagle to play
against?
These two are Eagle to play
against.
I mean,
I mean,
it's like a tie.
There's a bunch.
I mean,
they're D-Lyline, you know.
It's very,
a bunch of Cox
plays on the right.
Javon Hargrave was awesome.
You know,
extremely good player.
You know,
Brandon Graham's great player.
You know,
Timmy Jernigan in 2017.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, you're going back.
I mean,
um,
yeah,
I mean,
there's a lot.
Yeah, there's a bunch.
Okay.
A couple survey questions.
If you had a time machine, you could use it for one day.
What would you use it for?
Time machine for one day.
I would probably watch...
It's a hard one.
I think it would be...
I would want to watch them building the Great Pyramid about 5,000 years ago.
Okay.
But only one day.
I know, I know.
I need like...
Like they're like 60% done.
Yeah, so they're getting the heavy blocks up there.
So you can see how it's been here.
I just wanted to see what it was like.
Okay.
You know, that was crazy.
You could just go to the Luxor.
That's true.
I mean, just, you know, I don't know.
Yeah, I think that's a good.
What did you say?
Well, you know, like it'd be cool to, like, see what dinosaurs look like, I guess.
For sure, yeah.
But, yeah, and then you get into the hole, do you kill baby Hitler?
But that's a different line of questioning.
Celebrity crush from when you were a kid.
I always really liked Harry Potter, so Emma Watson.
Oh, nice.
My son just read the first book.
We just watched the first movie.
He's probably spent it.
probably smitten on the show.
Yeah.
And then last one, is it okay to pee sitting down?
Yeah, whatever you want to do.
How often are you peeing sitting down?
Not very often, but whatever you want to do.
But it's no judgment.
Do whatever you want, you're in the bathroom.
I don't care.
Thank you very much.
First of all, I gotta say, beard is looking good.
This is like borderline J.P. level, I don't know.
I said borderline.
Here's a Velcro, man.
It looks like he wakes up in the morning.
I mean, I never seen anything like it.
It's the best I've ever seen.
This is tight.
Yeah, appreciate you.
Okay.
Like favorite memories from your time in Philadelphia?
Man, honestly, it would probably have to be like camp.
Special rookie year coming off that certain ball.
I feel like everything was different in the locker room.
Nothing beats that rally during camp.
You know, everybody having to come together all the time you swing together.
It'd have to be that problem.
And any kind of victory, man.
Everybody was up on victory.
It was like after a victory, who were you most excited to see living it up?
Oh, it'll be me and Jordan.
Okay.
Yeah, you know, me and Jordan were roommates our first two years.
So, you know, that's my boy.
Always and forever.
So I beat him a lot.
And like, like, how much shit do you give him for like, oh, you're so rich now?
Like this is my guy.
I don't give me shit for that, man.
That's my boy.
But you're happy to see it.
Yeah, yeah.
I love to see his success, man.
He came a long way.
You know, his first two years.
out with injuries or whatever,
and built his way up to raise that down.
So, you know, I'm proud of him.
You are one of the only experts
at answering this question.
What would have happened if Greenlaw and Dom
had actually gotten into a fight?
Who would have won the fight?
And obviously, I got to take my boy at Greenlaw's back, man.
But Dom's a big body, man.
Dom's a big body.
You know, you can't take Don lightly.
But, you know, I've got to have my boy Greenlaw back.
Okay, that's good, good teammate.
All right, three survey questions,
and I'll let you go.
Yeah.
If you had a time machine, you can use
For one day, what would you use it for?
I'll probably go back and see Michael Jackson performing.
Oh, okay.
That's, yeah, I never seen him.
At what stage?
Man, that don't matter, man.
He was that dude, man.
He's a king for a reason.
That probably be my go-toe him right there.
Okay.
Who was your first celebrity crush as a kid?
I think Angelina Jolie.
Oh.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah, that's a sleeper.
Yeah.
That's a sleeper.
I probably say wanted.
Okay.
Wanted?
Yeah, man.
Or, what, Mr. and Mr. Smith?
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
And then last one, is it okay to pee sitting down?
I mean, if you're about to take the deuce, I guess, yeah.
But other than that, no.
Okay.
That's something if you could be tired, but okay.
No, no, you know.
If he ain't got the energy to stand up and pee, bro, what's going on.
Fair enough.
Thank you, Matt.
All right.
We are back, ready to close this bad boy out.
What a long, string.
beautiful week it has been on Radio Road from the Super Bowl.
Thanks again to Factor Meal Kits for making it all happen and the good people at All
City.
A fun time for us to get to meet the people who are our colleagues, but we have not met before this week.
So a great time, happy to do that.
Lawrence over there.
Yeah, good dinner.
Enjoy dinner with honors.
Wonderful dinner companion.
Yep.
Let's get to Goose wisely.
Let's do it.
Okay.
Do you remember the rules?
Vaguely.
No, I do remember the rules.
Yes.
Would you like to go first?
Sure.
So the first one is actually, it's my own.
Can I tell you something, Zach?
Yes.
This guy who's walking by right now?
Yeah.
See him?
I saw I'm walking by before.
And I was like, who is that guy?
The answer is I don't know him.
But what occurred to me is, and this is as deranged a thought as can possibly cross
somebody's mind, boy, that guy looks a lot like James Urban.
That's what you thought?
The former Eagles.
Well, okay.
Yes.
Former Eagles quarterback's coach.
I think he's on the Ravens, Bengals, Ravens.
Yeah, still on the Ravens staff.
You know you got a demented mind and you've been in the league too long when you're thinking,
oh man, that guy looks a lot like James Urban.
You know, ball.
That's what it is.
Yeah, that's what it is.
All right, here you go.
So I'm going to change the sequence of this a bit.
Good.
Making an audible.
I like that.
Okay.
So the first one here is what I call the Philly Area Goose Wisely.
Okay.
I like this.
Rashi Rice, a Philly native,
catches a touchdown.
He should have been on your team.
Or, well, I mean, my team had better receivers than Rishie Rice.
I had DJ Moore than we put Marvin Harrison Jr.
Yeah, but wouldn't you want Rashi Rice on the field
instead of the second running back that you had?
I'm going to give me a shout at the Swifts.
What's a guess?
Rishie Rice wasn't a guest this week.
Jonathan Daley doesn't need to be on the team.
I take Jonathan Taylor over Rishie Bryce.
Okay.
Rish Rice catches a touchdown,
or Jaya Brown records an interception.
Rishi Rice gets a touchdown.
Yeah, that's an easy one.
I think that might be my golden goose.
I probably should have done two touchdowns, but yeah.
Rashi Rice, D.D. G. I.e. Brown.
Interception.
Yeah, I mean, that's, I'll just go ahead right now and say that that's going to be my golden goose.
Okay.
All right. For you.
The difference between points scored in this game combined
and the number of Super Bowl that it is is greater.
is greater than what have I written here?
Is greater than the lowest jersey number
that scores a touchdown in the game?
Or there's a touchdown of at least 50 yards.
I will go with...
So this is what Super Bowl number?
This is 58, right?
58 is right there?
It's right there.
Super Bowl 58?
It's Super Bowl L-V-I-I-I-I.
And what's the over-under?
I think it's 47 and a half.
Oh, okay.
So, you know, we're looking at it about.
11 and a half?
Is that going to be a greater number than the lowest jersey number to score in the game?
A touchdown.
No field goals.
11's because we're going 11 and a half.
That's a hard one because there's a lot of 11s who are not a lot.
There's an 11 who's good in this game.
I'm going to go with the, I'm going to go with that's the, I'm going to go with over 11, right?
Am I going over 11 or under 11?
You're either taking that the difference.
points and the Super Bowl number is greater than the lowest jersey number touchdown or that a touchdown of 50 plus yards is scored.
Yeah, I'm going with the first one.
The first one.
Yep.
Okay.
I wish I could offer analysis.
I don't think there's going to be a lot of big plays here.
I think that there's, yeah, I think the lowest number, let's just say there's a chance that the lowest number is above 11, right?
Okay.
All right.
This is the famous significant other one.
Oh, okay.
Christian McCaffrey tops 100 rushing yards
or Travis Kelsey tops 100 receiving yards
Who's Christian McCaffrey significant other?
Olivia Coppo, right?
I believe so.
Okay.
You didn't know that?
I thought you were very culturally in tune.
Always.
Yeah, Olivia Copo.
Yeah, boom, nailed it.
Okay.
He tops 100 yards rushing
or Kelsey tops 100 yards receiving?
Yes.
That's a good one.
I think both are likely, I'm going to say the Kelsey one.
Okay.
Kelsey 100 plus yards receiving.
That's probably where I would have gone to.
Okay, I will give you my Kelsey one then.
Jason Kelsey is shown on the broadcast at least three times.
Oh, three? Wow.
Now, this is going to be from kickoff to end of the game.
Yeah, not pregame.
Yeah, not pregame anything.
He's shown on the broadcast at least three times.
And not post-game hugging Travis and?
Correct.
Okay.
Or at least three players attempt to pass in the game.
At least three players attempt to pass in the game.
Okay.
Wait, so just clarification.
I'm thinking when you said Jason has to appear on the screen,
they're not featuring Jason Kelsey on the screen.
It's just Jason appearing on this screen.
Yeah, so for instance, he's in the same box as Taylor Swift and he's in the background.
That counts, yeah.
All right, well, I'm going to change that then.
I was thinking of them featuring him.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm going to go with three because I think they show that box more than,
and I think he'll be in, he'll be in the shot.
It's hard to get a box in this game as Olivia Copo can tell you.
Okay.
Do you know that reference?
No.
Okay.
Olivia Copo, they said the boxes were too expensive.
So Olivia Coppo is sitting in the stands, I believe.
I think Kelsey's going to sit in the stands too.
You think so?
I don't know.
Who knows?
J. Von Hargrave, the former Eagle, records a sack.
in this game or
the memory of a play that
haunted Van Hargrave. Patrick Mahomes has a rush
of greater than 26 yards.
Greater, so it has to be at least
27 yards? Yes, because 26
was to run last year.
And does a half sack count?
Yes, half sack counts.
I'm going to take the Jayvon Hargrave. Oh, but Patrick
Malmonds does not get sacked.
And he's deceptively fast, as
he would like to tell you.
I'm still going to take the Hargrave Half Sack.
Argrave half sack
Mahomes
27 yards rushing
Argrave has seven sacks this year
four fewer than the year before
in Philadelphia one more than any defense
attack on the Eagles had
All right for you Zach I have a kick
at some point hits the uprights or the crossbar
A bow wolf staple
A bow wolf staple or the Super Bowl
MVP
has a jersey number that has a prime
number
Another
Another pro-wolf staple
15 is not a prime number
87
is a prime number
Is it?
Yeah, I guess
Yeah, 87 is a prime number right
13 is a prime number
Yeah, you got some shots here
I'm going to go with the prime number
Is that where you would have gone?
Probably
Then mine here
This is
I know this isn't either or
I like this one
A QB wins the MVP or a non-QB wins the MVP.
Ooh.
Classic.
This is a classic ZB.
So you go Mahomes, Purdy or the field?
I mean, I feel like the history would tell us that it's been a quarterback more often than it hasn't, right?
Yes.
And I certainly think there's a path to a non-quarterback this year.
But I'm going to take the quarterbacks.
By the way, we were at Circa last night.
Shout out the Circa.
And I was looking over all the props, and I was looking at the MVP props.
And I believe Travis Kelsey was plus 1,400.
And I can see a pathway for Travis Kelsey to win MVP.
Now, I understand that if Travis Kelsey has a good game, Patrick Mahomes presumably has a good game too.
And so then therefore Mahomes would likely win it.
But Travis Kelsey has a lot of fame.
I can definitely see Travis Kelsey winning it.
So that plus 1,400, I would never advise you with a bet,
but that could be an interesting pro.
Okay, my last one for you.
The game is tied at the end of any quarter.
Okay.
Or let's say the winning team wins by at least 14 points.
Game tied at the end of a quarter.
Okay.
By the way, which one did you pick the quarterback?
I picked the quarterback.
That's what I thought.
Okay.
14 plus margin.
Okay, so I have, and as I read these, think about what you want your golden goose to be.
I have Rashi Rice scores a touchdown.
You have G. Iyer Brown records in the interception.
I have a 50-yard touchdown is scored in the game.
You have the difference between points and the Super Bowl number is greater than the lowest touchdown jersey number in the game.
I have Jason Kelsey or Travis Kelsey has at least 100 yards receiving.
You have Christian McCaffrey has at least 100 yards rushing.
I have at least three players attempt to pass in the game.
You have there are at least three shots of Jason Kelsey during the game broadcast.
I have Javan Hargrave has a half sack.
You have Patrick Mahomes rushes on one play for at least 27 yards.
I have a kick hits the uprights.
You have a prime number MVP.
I have the quarterback wins MVP.
You have a non-quarterback wins MVP.
And I have the margin of error as at least 14 points.
You have the game is tied at some point at the end of a quarter.
I'm going with a non-QB wins the MVP as my Golden Goose.
Oh, nice. That's fun.
That means a guaranteed big one on an either-or.
I like that.
Nice. All right.
Question for you before we wrap up, we discussed a few times before we got out here.
And I'll include Julia in this.
The two of you were decidedly not Vegas people before we came out.
I know we haven't, we've mainly experienced the halls of this convention center.
We've been outside about three times this whole trip.
At best.
Yeah, we're going to get some fresh air tonight on the walk at dinner.
But the end is near here.
The lights are coming on in the bar, so to speak.
So what is your, what's your read on Vegas at this point?
And also think about this.
When you said before the show, you said you feel,
like the lights are going on in the bar.
No, last call.
It's last call to bar and you haven't made your move yet.
Do you hear that and think that Zach is referring to making your move on a person of like the sex that you are attracted to?
Or do you mean he thinks, do you think he means making the rounds and talking to everybody in the bar?
Obviously, this is like a, this is a reference to trying to, you know, get a little horn action on.
obviously.
Not at all.
Not at all.
Not at all.
Why would you say that then?
Have you ever been somewhere and you're like, yeah, I'm going to talk to that person or that.
I'm going to go, you know, there was someone you wanted to speak to.
They were in conversation so you couldn't really talk to them.
Or you were hoping to see person X, Y, or Z that night and you haven't necessarily done it.
And then all of a sudden you're about to leave and you're like, wait, I haven't even talked to that person.
Yeah.
Not in the context of last call at the bar.
I've been married for seven years.
Julia, am I wrong here?
When he said that, isn't that exactly what you thought?
I mean, yes, but with Zach, it's like, it's different because I feel like Zach actually means it in the way.
I've been married for seven years.
When was the last time I picked up someone at the bar?
Well, of course not, but that's not the point.
So that's my point.
But you are using it as like as trying to relate to other people.
You're saying it's, you were using it as a simile.
Like, it's like when it's last call at the bar and you regret not having made a move yet.
When you say make a move.
Make a move is a euphemism.
Make a move is absolutely about like picking somebody up, taking them home.
I've been in the airport in a crowd with you and you say, let's make our move.
Like you're like weaving in and out, right?
Yeah, well, I don't think that's the context of the end of the line at the bar.
I'm literally explaining my context to you.
The context is.
Sometimes you are like the most sincere.
see your person, and I love that about you, but sometimes you do a little bit of backtracking
that is disingenuous.
There is no way that when you said that, that is what you meant.
Bo, there have been times when we're at the combine, okay, and you want to talk to this person
or that person or that person, right?
But it's last call, and you're like, shit, I haven't.
Shoot, I'm sorry.
You know, I haven't spoken to Coach X or Scout Y.
Scout Y is good, by the way.
So, yeah, so you got on a understanding.
I understand.
You're celebrating your 10-year anniversary
this summer, correct?
Yes.
Okay. I've been married for seven years,
been with Emway for 10 years.
Yeah, but I'm not taking it as you
in any way of you
needing to do this now in your life.
I'm just saying when you use that context,
it's clear that that's what you were going for.
Once again, I'm going to tell you
what I've said before.
I can't control your inference.
Okay, there's a difference between an implication and an inference.
That's not my implication.
I can control an implication.
I can't control an inference.
Whatever you infer is up to you.
That is not what I was implying.
I was implying, I can see why you would interpret that.
Like, I'm not naive.
As you said that, I'm like, oh, shoot, like, okay, I can see why I will come off like that.
I'm telling you, my intention was, like, whatever you wanted to do that night,
right? Make your move.
That's like an expression. There have been times when
you're in traffic and I'm
behind like a slow driver. Let's not debate the semantics
of make your move. In the context
of the lights going on at the bar,
everybody knows what make your move means.
Bo, I am telling you how
if you're trying to go talk to a coach or a scout,
you're not making your move on scout.
If you said, excuse me from this conversation,
I need to go make my move on Doug
Peterson. Everybody would look at you and say
that's a little freaky, Zach. Bo, if you're
waiting to talk to someone over there.
If we're in the locker room together, and I want
to speak to Jordan Milata, and there's a
bunch of people around. I can't believe
Julia is going to have to be sitting there watching
the show. It's going to be like
150 and she's going to be like,
I cannot believe this show has my end of it. And the
crowd dissipates. You would say, Zach,
that's, you know, Jordan's
free now, go make your move, right?
I'm not, like, that's, that
would you not say something like that? But you're
mixing up the context of what you said.
Once again, I can't control
how you infer something, yes.
As to your Vegas question, here's what I would say.
I think for this event, Vegas is great.
Because to be able to just walk through the casino from one casino to another to get to your hotel,
it's obviously a convention city.
I think for this specific purpose, Vegas is great.
Yes.
I think there are other good purposes to Vegas.
I would be happy to come back for, you know, 48 hours or whatever, have a good time.
My only contention is, like, the romantic ideal you have of Vegas as, like, this is the most special place on Earth.
Everybody can, there's something here for everybody.
Everybody can do what they want.
I mean, Vegas is a very specific type of place.
By the way, without speaking out of turn about any conversations, we were speaking to someone this week who, they said it's a great place for kids.
You can take them to the fountains and the elevators and the escalators,
and it makes a lot of sense.
Anything you're looking for in the, you can find anything.
You can go, you can veg out on a pool at a pool if you want.
You can get a nice massage.
You can get a good meal.
You can see history at Hoover Dam.
I mean, there's so many things that you can do here, okay?
Yes.
And, yeah, I.
You can go see history at first.
overdo.
That's very good.
Joy, how about you?
I find, I'm sorry, I'm not cutting you up, Julia.
There are definitely parts of Vegas and the Vegas experience that I find deeply depressing.
I would have to, I would have to agree with that.
I think I saw far too many children late at night in the casino as well.
The smoke-filled casinos.
Smoke-filled casino.
There's not enough places to get fresh air.
It's hard to find fresh air.
It just literally feels like a maze, so to try to get out of anywhere just takes a long time.
but I've enjoyed being here with you guys.
Oh, sweet.
Thank you.
Thank you, Joy.
Yes.
I'd like to continue the conversation, but that's a good button.
Still a Vegas fan.
Which Julia knows is what we really need to get to, and that is the end of the show.
So for everybody who has stopped by and chatted with us this week at Radio Row, most specifically, D'Andre Carter and Clay Harbor, the two highlights of the week.
We thank both of them.
We thank everybody else who we talk to.
Thank everybody for.
watching and listening throughout the time.
Enjoy the weekend.
Enjoy the Super Bowl.
We will be back on Monday at noon.
We're going to start sticking to that noon time,
which is good for everybody, I think.
So for Zach and Julia and the whole
all-city crew and everybody
in the world,
except for Drew Brees.
We thank you for listening and watching.
We will talk to you on Monday. Enjoy the Super Bowl.
That is a wrap.
on Radio Row for P-H-L-Y, the P-H-L-Y Eagles podcast.
Thank you for listening and watching.
And as always, we love you.
