PHLY Philadelphia Eagles Podcast - Talking Ball with Eagles LEGEND Todd Herremans
Episode Date: June 17, 2025It was mystery guest day at PHLY, so Eagles legend offensive lineman Todd Herremans joined Fran Duffy and Bo Wulf at the top of the show to discuss Lane Johnson's greatness, which Eagles Super Bowl qu...arterback he would have drafted and, for some reason, castration. That pretty much sets up the table for the rest of the show, which may or may not include DALLAS GOEDERT! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Hello, everybody, and welcome to the P.HLY Eagles podcast on a Tuesday afternoon presented by TrueMark Financial.
We've got a mystery guest joining us as mystery guest day rolls on here on PHLY.
If you want to make a contribution, hit up the donation in the YouTube comments that goes to Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Okay, who we got? Is it Jeffrey Lurie?
I can't wait to see. I'm so nervous.
I have no idea who are.
I have no idea who it is.
Todd Harriman.
What's up, guys.
Todd, we were just talking about you yesterday
as one of the best offensive
linemen in franchise history. How are you?
Wow, I appreciate that. I'm doing well.
How about you guys?
You look, I mean, you look very comfortable right now.
I can tell you're on like a rocking chair. You've got a stone
background. You're living it.
I'm on the porch. Yes, sir.
That's beautiful. What are you doing right now?
Well, I just got done pulling some weeds.
Pretty busy out here on the farm.
We had some calves recently.
so all sorts of fun things like, you know, castration, ear tagging, stuff like that.
Okay.
We want to hear about the fun of castration, yeah.
I mean, how hands on are you in this process?
Well, I watch a YouTube video to figure it out, so pretty hands-on.
Okay.
I know very little about this, but I have heard there's like there's the,
you could do like the really tight tie around the testicles and then they just sort of fall off?
Or are you going like with the actual make it happen in a one and done?
Yeah.
No, so I just learned about the other method.
I didn't know there was another method, like a surgical removal.
Kelsey was telling me about this because when he was going through his cattle education,
he said they like cut it open and have to like basically pull them out,
which gave me a stomachache just thinking about.
So I go with the banding method
Where they're young
And I just get a rubber band around it
Until they fall off
Good for you
Man, that's a rule
I wasn't expected to talk about this
In the first two minutes of the show
I actually knew we were going here
I didn't know who the guest was going to be
But I knew castration was going to be
All right, well let's spend this to the Eagles though
Todd what are your thoughts on this team
As we sit here in the middle of June
We're a month and change away from training camp
What are your thoughts here
As we get ready for 2025
I mean, there's not a lot of negativity in my brain.
You know, there wasn't obviously coming off of a historic season, Super Bowl champs.
Big target on their back, but for good reason, you know, they didn't really lose a whole lot.
I think that the additions that they made are going to, you know, strengthen their roster.
And I just think that they're one of the hardest things they'll have going through this year is just meeting expectations.
because I feel like expectations will be so high for them.
In terms of your connection to the team,
you know, the longer it has been since you've retired,
like the fewer guys there are,
is Lane the last guy who's on the team that you play with?
And does that change your relationship with the team at all?
Yeah, I mean, now the BG retired, Lane's the last, the Mohicans.
So, no, I mean, I've kind of been able to hang around some of the new guys
and, you know, created a friendship with Landon
and Cam and some of the other guys that are in a locker room.
So I could still kind of hang around and feel like I'm part of it.
But yeah, it's weird seeing, you know, just almost a complete turnover.
And if Lane wasn't so damn good, that turnover would already have happened, you know.
So we were having this.
It's pretty crazy to be this far out and still have guys that I played with, actually, I feel.
At your position, too.
Yeah, exactly.
We were having this sort of thought exercise yesterday.
what do you think Lane's career would have looked like
if he wasn't with Jeff Stoutland the whole time?
Man, that's tough because, you know,
Lane's gone through so roller coaster of ups and downs.
And one thing I keep telling people about Stoughtlin
is he really cares about his players.
You know, it's not just about getting maximum output on the field,
but he cares about where you're at mentally, you know,
the home life, you know, whether you're offset.
you know, outside of football with everything
because if you're not, you know,
stable outside of football, you're not going to be able to produce
on the field as well. So I'm sure that he's been, you know,
a huge impact on the longevity that Lane's had
and also like what he teaches him. You know, I don't want to take anything away from
Lane also. He's... Right.
Dude, Lane takes care of himself with so much effort
and so much thought. I'm just staying healthy,
stay in limber, trying to always figure out the tweaks
and what you can do from year to year to elevate his game.
And it shows.
Do you think it's just the toe spacers?
Well, I think that probably has part to do with it.
It's not necessarily the toe spacers,
although he did get me on the spacers and the vivo barefoot.
Okay.
So it could alleviate a lot of my foot problems.
Okay.
No, I just think that that, not yet.
might have been too far gone for that.
Just keep the rubber bands away from the toes.
Right, exactly.
So I think that is just like a little,
like a little snippet of like what makes him good.
You know what I mean?
It's like he's not ingrained into any old ways.
Like he's always looking for a new fresh edge
and in a game that's constantly evolving with technology
that's constantly evolving.
So I think that that's helped, you know,
keep him in as long as he has.
has and at such a high level.
Like, he's still, you know, one of the best in the league, what, 13 years in?
No doubt.
Sure.
And he said.
A couple weeks ago, like, he thinks this is maybe the best that he's ever been.
And we were talking about this too.
And I wonder what it is for you, Todd, because there's like the, when you are young,
when you're in your early 20s, like you're at your physical prime, right?
Maybe a couple years in once you've acclimated to the strength of the NFL.
But then towards the end of your career, you've got like much more awareness than you.
you had. So for you, what was the sweet spot where you felt both at your peak physically
and like fully understanding what was going on? That's tough. Because I feel like I probably
wasn't at my peak physically when I thought I was still. You know, I feel like something that makes
athletes ascend to the highest level is they're a little bit ignorant and hardheaded when it
comes to like self-realization.
They think they're always the best and they're constantly climbing.
And so I think my game started to fade and I probably felt like it was a technical thing long
before it was an actual physical thing.
But I just think, you know, there's a stigma that once you hit 30, like your days are numbered.
And I think that there's some people that kind of buy into that.
And then I think there's guys that are like, well, not me.
hell not me that's lame and he's like you know i'll make it so i can play as long as i want to play
and then i'll leave the game when i'm done with it and not when it's done with me you know i think
that's just kind of a different mental attitude toward the game and i think you kind of see
more and more guys doing it you know i think tom brady was kind of along the same lines you know
he took care of himself a lot of people put you know a lot of emphasis into the tv12 method
but it really was just about you know um keeping yourself in the best shape and
the healthiest diet and
creating longevity for yourself,
not just in the game, but in life.
And so, you know, I think that that's
probably becoming more and more common
once people saw Brady do it. And then it got advertised
so widely.
Well, said. We had
this exercise last week where we kind of
had to draft from the last three
Super Bowl roster, so 17, 22,
and 24. And
as part of that, it's like, all right, we have the three versions
of Lane Johnson from all three of those years.
We said, how do you say,
obviously all three were great players.
How do you think Lane would rank those three?
Ooh.
See, I think that Lane being late to the game of being an offensive lineman,
I think that he probably thinks he's gotten better with time
because he's able to pick up a lot more nuances and stuff that,
you know, some guys would have already had earlier in their career,
but since it's it was all kind of like green to him he's just keep getting better and better and it's not like his body's declining either so he's able to yeah i think he would probably rank him you know 24 old yeah
interesting oldest to youngest all right before we let you go i got i'm gonna on the on that i'm gonna put you on the spot which quarterback would you take oh uh uh you know what i uh bang so is that is that falls then
You could go foals.
I mean, you could make the case for WACs,
but you could go, yeah, 22 hurts.
You know, to be honest.
To be honest, I really, I like Jalen's dedication to the game.
I would love to play with the guy that kind of approach it like that.
It seems to be all business all the time, you know.
And I know that, you know,
I had a great time with my quarterbacks and stuff,
and they made the game a lot of fun.
But I've just never seen or played with somebody that was quite dialed in
he seems to be.
All right.
I like that.
Well, Todd Harriman,
thank you so much
for being our mystery guest.
That was a lot of fun.
No problem, guys.
Thanks for having me.
Hopefully we talk to you soon.
Have a lot of fun.
For sure.
Take care, guys.
All right.
That was fantastic.
Do you think he's going back to
meeting or going back to castrating?
Like, what's first order of business
when he goes back now?
Listen, love what you do
and you never work a day in your life.
Oh, my goodness.
Wait, I have something to show also.
Oh.
He's going to be.
Oh, Todd Harriman's going to be with us.
us on the trip to Green Bay.
That's beautiful.
Oh, that's awesome.
So our friend who won that trip,
he's going to get to be there with Todd.
That's fantastic.
The Monday night game in Green Bay.
Philly Sports Trips.com for more details.
I feel like that game...
Great job by Jamie making that happen.
Outstanding.
I feel like that game in 2013,
Todd played really, really well,
if I remember right, in Green Bay.
Oh, interesting.
If I remember right.
I had to go back to that.
Was that the Micah Hyde game?
Yeah, the Micahide game.
That was Green Bay's quarterback got hurt.
It was like, so there was like,
they're back to quarterback.
Oh, yes.
I don't remember who it was at this point.
But yeah.
Was it a Matt?
Hmm, I forget now.
But I feel like I remember Harriman's,
and I feel like Alan Barber also had a very strong performance in that game.
I feel like there is a,
hold on.
I got the Scott Tolzeen.
Scott Tolzeen, there goes.
The quarterback.
He's now a quarterback.
coach in the NFL.
Listening to Todd talk,
it's funny, I didn't even think about this last week
when we went through the Super Bowl roster exercise.
Like, Lane was on his rookie deal
for that 17.
Is he still or was he not?
Yeah, because that would have been his year four.
I mean, it was like he was still playing out
his rookie deal.
Well, he had just come off the year before
is when he got the suspension.
Right.
So that was when, you know, Damien Square
is con him juicer in the middle of the
Chargers game.
Yeah.
I do, I think that Todd is underrated in a, you know, we don't see a lot these days of guys really having to play all over, especially at least in Philadelphia.
Right.
I mean, he played all four positions.
Yep.
And played them well.
And was like, you know, pro bowl caliber at both guard spots and right tackle.
Yep.
Yeah.
I mean, that the, the optionality that gives you is, is unbelievable.
Yeah.
Yeah.
One of the more underrated Eagles.
I agree.
in recent memory.
So yeah,
that was a good get.
That was fantastic.
That was all right.
That was fun.
Now,
just to reset things,
we're also going to hear
from Dallas Goddard
later in the show today
coming up in about
25 minutes or so.
Do you think we'll talk
about castration with Dallas?
I bet he's got some thoughts.
Can we read that?
I bet he knows about it.
I would be surprised
if he's not at least
tangentially familiar with
with castration.
Well,
we'll ask you,
you should lead it off with that.
I mean,
how do you,
like,
just the rubber bands cutting off the circulation when they fall off you said that you in the
minimal research you've done why why is this something that well it's not a
research it's more just a thing that that I have in conversation has someone has
told me this okay or I think it was maybe like Rachel's friend is a boyfriend or
something like that many years in the farming business you know he's just in the castration
business now I don't
Remember what it was.
One of those.
Yeah.
As one does.
He's just a rubber band salesman and all the different uses.
You know,
you can wrap them around your Pokemon cards or, you know,
make sure that this bull's not going to procreate.
I had to find a way to close confectionary sugar last night.
And I was like, you know,
I wear rubber bands.
Give me those testicles.
Testicle droppers.
All right.
Dynamic stuff.
Okay.
Let's take a quick break.
We'll come back.
We'll reset.
We want to talk about really one of the more exciting topics that we have that Fran has brought to the table.
Looking forward to that.
And then we'll set up for Dallas Garden in a little bit.
So join us, hang with the Duffman.
Now listen, you might be thinking,
oh, my testicle smell.
They smell so bad that I might need to look into castration.
Don't be so.

All kinds and mixing and matching.
It's the upside down pineapple day.
We've got, you know, Eagles show.
We're going to have Kyle Neubeck and Devon Givens joining me.
You're going to be on.
I'm going on Sixers.
You're going on Sixers.
That'll be fun.
And then we've also got a very fun one at 1 o'clock tomorrow.
I want everybody to know about.
We got Fran Duffy, Derek Boddner, Charlie O'Connor, just talking draft.
Like, what's your process when you go through?
scouting guys, are there pitfalls you fall into?
What have you learned over the course of time?
I'm looking forward to that one.
So check it out.
And, I mean, help us out.
We're trying to save,
trying to earn a little money,
you know,
raise a little money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
It's a great cause.
Instead of the Super Chat?
Yes.
Donate.
Come on.
Donate the player.
Rate the game.
All right.
Give me your pitch here.
You're listening to a podcast
and you thought this could be an interesting discussion.
Yeah, I was listening to our friend,
Ross Tucker,
who called the call,
calls the...
From where Taylor Swift is from?
Yes, exactly.
From,
she is from Ross Tucker's home.
That's right.
So why I'm missing,
Pennsylvania.
So Ross Tucker,
I was listening one of his shows
and he brought up the idea
of basically just talking about
spring football leagues.
And he said,
you know,
it would be really beneficial
for those spring leagues
if they were to really partner
with the NFL
and make it the same kind of dynamic
that he had with the NFL
Europe back,
you know,
decades ago at this point,
where every team could,
you know,
basically allocate a,
couple of players on the bottom of the roster to go and play in the spring league and you get
some development and then they're able to come back and join your 90-man roster later in the
offseason. So got me thinking, all right, well, that could be a nice little block of a show,
is who are some players that you would like to see playing in a spring? Who would you most be
interested in seeing play spring football if you were Howie Roseman, if you were Nick Sirian.
All right. I got six guys in a row. Six players. But let's first talk about this philosophically.
Yep. Because you're not willing to do it with a player who you're really counting on. You don't
want to risk the injury. You don't want to risk the mileage.
Like you wouldn't want Tanner McKee doing it personally.
I agree. Yeah. Yes.
Too important. Yes.
You probably don't want to overwhelm guys who just played a long
rookie long final year of college.
I think that's probably right. I think that's part of it too.
And then there are like if there are specific coaching points,
there needs to be sort of a relationship, I think, right?
Because you don't want them learning bad habits.
So like you think about the Jordan Milata.
like it would have been nice for him to get those reps,
but, you know,
we always hear that one of the great things about his development
was that he didn't have any bad habits.
You don't want him to learn any bad habits.
So all of that in mind,
I mean, number one with a bullet.
Okay.
Let's get Lake and Vakalahi some game.
Sure.
Yes, I think that's a good one.
Absolutely.
Let's just throw that kid out there.
Yeah.
Yeah, let's see what he's got.
Let's see how he stands up.
You know, I think that's a good one.
Do you want to go back and forth?
I'm going to just give you,
I've got one.
The first one that stands out to me is Lucene.
Louisina, I have him and Andre Sam as sort of a pair.
Okay.
Yeah.
To me, that would be one where it's like,
all right, like, yeah, this guy was a first round pick.
Yes.
But has not played a ton in the NFL.
So just being able to get him an opportunity to just get live reps,
I think that would be very beneficial, not just for him, but for the Eagles as well.
He's dealt with some severe injuries.
How differently does he move at full speed now than we thought he did as a rookie?
Yeah, that's a good one.
And I put Andre Sam there together.
And this is one where, like, it might be nice to have guys.
playing next to each other.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, right.
Maybe two linebackers who play next to each other or two safety is sort of like learning off
of each other.
I like that.
That could be helpful.
Yeah.
Hadn't thought about that.
All right, I got along the offensive line ones.
I mean, I got Cameron Williams.
Sure.
Right.
You would have probably preferred him to have another year in college.
Yep.
So yeah, Cameron Williams, let's get the reps.
I'm not expecting him to play at all this year.
Like, let's get the reps in now.
What are your thoughts on Anias Smith in this kind of scenario?
scenario. That's a good one. Yeah. That's a good one. I didn't have them down, but I,
but I should have. That's a good one. Just because I obviously didn't play much last year,
just due to the injuries. Obviously, he was a mid-round pick. It was a fifth round pick last year.
So like a relatively high pick for someone you would maybe think about for this kind of scenario.
And we always talk about, you know, does it look like you're moving differently?
Yeah. In, in the spring when it's built for you to stand out in those capacities.
And I don't really think that he has done that.
But, you know, if you go, if you're going to the spring league and you don't look like one of the most dynamic players on the field, like, yeah, that's that's tough.
So, yeah, I would want to see just the analysis of it.
Yeah, and this is obviously no, you know, no shade at an eye expense.
But if he were to get hurt in a situation like that, that's not like, that's not changing the arc of your season.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Kyle McCord.
McCord's a good one.
Yeah, he was one I did think about just because I was, he's going to be battling with DTR for that third spot.
You mentioned that you feel like that's kind of done and dusted.
I kind of do.
Yeah.
Yeah, so maybe he's not necessarily competing, but it would be nice to be able to see him get some live reps.
Right. I mean, it's almost on the border of do you want a risk injury for him.
But I think it would be worth it.
Hasn't played a ton of ball.
Yeah.
You know, he hasn't, he has not started a ton in college.
So he was one year at Ohio State, one year at Syracuse.
So being able to get another set of reps.
It is also one where, I mean, I think you could probably make the case that at quarterback in particular,
just like a volume of reps in your mental bank
is probably more important than any other position.
So like let's get him some live ammo.
Yep, I agree with that.
I don't think ammo was the right word there,
but that's okay.
I can't come with you.
But Gabe Hall.
Yeah, that'd be fun.
Yeah.
I would expect, I would be disappointed
if Gabe Hall went to one of those leagues
and didn't dominate.
Disrupt it.
Yeah, I agree with that.
Yeah.
But that would be fun to watch.
Byron Young was another one.
I have Barron Young down here
because, again, a guy who like missed a lot of time.
Yep.
Last year didn't get to play.
So you want to see him get to play.
My last one is Shundarick Powell.
Shendarik Powell is a good one.
Different level of competition.
Sure, yes.
Coming from a smaller school.
Does he look juicy?
Yep.
Going through some names in the chat.
Eli Ricks popped up and Antoine Powell Riland
were the other two that we hadn't already talked about.
Eli Ricks is an interesting one.
Obviously, a little bit older than what you would typically expect.
But I think that that's a fine one.
Just go out and get more, get more time.
That's not bad.
Julian, how about you?
like how did you guys not mention uh jelan hurts who would be uh if you could just watch one player
play in one game just to watch the experience of them playing against that level of competition
who would be the most fun for you on the eagles roster um oh you mean like just pick like so like
a jr brown going yeah okay gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha it's probably a jay or jaylin carter i think it would
Jalen, yeah, I think it would be a lot of fun.
I think it would be Jalen.
Just because, like, when I think of drops and levels of competition,
I think of offensive line is like,
all that's where the huge,
the biggest delta is.
Yeah.
So being able to see Jalen Carter going up against a significantly weak drops of line.
Yeah.
And it's,
Jlin Carter just tossing them aside.
That probably would be better.
I mean, AJ would be great.
You know,
you could get like 500 yards receiving in the game.
What's the motivating factor for those guys to go out and like dominate?
So like, all right, like, hey, for every.
Needs.
Yeah.
Right.
I see, yeah.
X amount of dollars.
Like,
there's something like,
yeah,
for every,
for every sack or TFL,
Failing Carter gets 10 million dollars.
Right.
Yeah.
A million dollars.
Right.
I think that would be very funny to watch for a quarter.
Yeah,
that'd be great.
Yeah.
But then,
but then you're thinking about like,
okay,
well,
what if he's like,
he tells the,
tells the center,
like,
I'll give you half a million if you let me get this thing.
Like,
let's split this,
you know,
then you get into it.
So,
we got to have,
we got to have fairness.
You can't skirt that.
I agree.
No.
What else you got?
I'm excited to talk to Dallas.
Dallas,
I think,
you know,
obviously he had an interesting offseason,
but he's always a fun player to talk to.
I've had a couple interviews with Dallas,
and he's always a,
he gives some good insight.
I wrote a big profile in Dallas a couple years ago,
had a chance to talk to a lot of members of his family.
That was a lot of fun.
Very nice.
And actually there's a bit of a connection to where he's going this summer,
tight end you, that I'm going to ask him about.
Very nice.
So that will be fun.
I do also need to tell the sickos.
This is very exciting.
So tomorrow we got the streamathon.
Yep.
Thursday is like a real push to get donations.
It's going to be you and me again.
Yep.
We've got a fun conceit for that.
We're going to look back at some of your scouting reports,
your pre-draft scouting reports on a bunch of you.
Eagles, but at the end of that show, we're finally going to let you see it.
Finally, after long last, we are going to share with the world.
The cutting room floor, yet unseen, Brandon Chub interview from Super Bowl Week,
down in Nallon.
We talked about this, but Julia, do we even like have it?
Do we even just, this?
like saved anywhere.
Julia's nice.
We might not.
It might be too hot for TV.
It just occurred to me as you were going.
I was like, wait.
I looked over Julia.
I was like, wait a bit.
Is that like saved anywhere?
It might be too,
it might be too hot for TV.
Literally on the cutting room.
If we can get it approved by the higher-ups.
And I'm talking all the way to the top.
then we will play that interview.
CB just like stopped in his tracks.
Like, no, I'm leaving vacation going on to make sure I'm on that show.
I think that's probably like the ninth time he's done that in this episode so far.
Julie will make it happen.
Maybe we dub it.
Maybe we don't have the.
It would be pretty good.
Okay. Yeah, I've got some interesting things to ask Dallas about.
Yeah, that would be good.
Okay, so we are expecting Dallas soon.
What I'm going to do, let's do our other ad read now.
Sure.
That way, whenever it is that Dallas comes on, we can just pop them right on.
Sure.
Okay, so quick break, back with more on this dynamic episode as Spirit Week rolls on.

How was the graduation yesterday?
Graduation was great.
We were expecting Waterworks from Francis.
Last year was like very emotional, like moving from pre-K to kindergarten, and he was
very emotional, but last week was like the ceremony.
Okay.
That was an emotional day.
So I'm thinking, last day I picked up.
Oh, so they had a blast.
like, so yeah, that was actually very good
that they had the ceremony last week.
Got it.
So we still have a couple days.
So it was good.
Did you cry during the ceremony?
Yeah, I tear it up a little bit there.
Yeah, I mean, they did.
They did a hard.
They knew what they were doing.
They had a slide show like showing the kids doing all this stuff.
Of course.
And like, then you show like, oh, the first day.
It's all the kids.
And they're not like friends with each other yet.
They're all just kind of standing awkwardly against the wall.
And now it's like, you know, they fast forward six months and they're all like hugging.
Of course.
No, but I mean, I'm down to be emotionally manipulated in that scene.
I mean, that's what I'm there for.
Yeah, and they might cry.
They, they did, the slide show was like a surprise for the parents too.
And now, Francis let it loose because he's got, he's got loose lips.
He was like, oh, there's a surprise slide show that you're not supposed to know about.
So we knew it was coming, but, like, sent to be coming.
Did they lay it on thick with the music behind the slide show too?
Yeah, there was like, it was like 25 minutes long.
It was like, it was so long.
But yeah, I was like the, they had like four or five tracks on there that were like,
oh, they know what they were doing.
As we go.
They did not use the grid.
There was no vitamin C.
But it was, yeah, it was good.
It was well done.
That's what it's all about.
I demand tears.
Give me my tears.
I, like, I mean, to say that I cry exponentially more in like the last six years, it's like an
understand.
It's like, I mean, like, 1,800 times more.
Like, it's like, so.
so much more now like with Francis than I have them.
Pre kids,
you were just steely.
Yeah,
just broke the dam.
You were just holding it all in.
Yeah.
Do you feel like you're emotionally healthier now?
Oh,
absolutely.
I hope so.
Hopefully everyone's getting emotionally healthy every day every year.
Hopefully we make it the best year ever.
That's true.
Yeah.
Yeah,
I mean,
when you get that text from Zach on your birthday,
that boy hits hard.
You know it.
Oh.
How was Father's Day?
It was good.
It was good.
Yeah.
I had a nice,
there was a,
And it was a golden like 45 minutes or an hour or so where Leah was sleeping on my chest.
Rachel and Jane had gone to the supermarket and Jane was feeling a little bit car sick when she got home.
She came to lay down on the couch next to me.
They were both sleeping.
That was the best.
That's great.
What more can I ask for?
Beautiful.
Love it.
How about you?
It was good.
Busted out a new smoker for the first time.
A little pellet grill.
Julia?
Yeah.
You know, it was a little pellet grill that I've been putting off like using,
so did some smoke sausages.
It was good.
Nice.
Yeah.
Was this a,
was this a,
a,
you purchase or a gift?
A little bit of both.
It was like a gift from Meg that I,
it was like,
oh,
like,
what do you think about this?
And I was like,
yeah,
let's do it.
So,
okay.
Yeah.
And now what's going to be,
what's going to be the one when you really tested out.
Now that you've gotten to know it.
Here's the thing.
I talked about this with Meg last night.
And she took it as.
like, well, you were the one that wanted it.
And I said, no, because, so, like, I know, I know now, like, cooking for her for the last, you know, 12 years.
She likes all of her meat, like, completely well done.
And I'm the opposite.
I don't like it, like, rare, like, bloody, like, rubber bands, like, on the plate.
But, you know, I, you know, I like medium rare.
And so, like, yeah, like, if I'm cooking stuff on the grill, I've known, like, all right, I got to throw hers on, like, 20 minutes before I throw mine on.
Yeah.
So if I'm talking,
I'm like,
all I'm going to put something
on the smoker.
So what kind of things
do you want me to cook
for all of us to eat?
Because you're not going to eat
you're not going to like
the same stuff that I make.
So I think what I'm going to do,
I actually got a,
I have a turkey sitting in the freezer.
So I'm just going to like smoke a turkey
like in a couple weeks.
That'll be fun.
That's a good one.
Yeah.
You know a vacation next week.
So I probably won't do it this weekend
because I'm going to have leftover
so I'll probably do it the week we get back.
So I'll be the first big thing on the smoker.
That'll be fun.
like that.
You like a turkey leg?
I want to smoke turkey leg?
What you'll be getting one next week?
You know, I actually think that
getting the turkey leg at like going
you get them on like the rent fare and stuff.
Yeah.
Overrated.
I think I kind of,
I mean, it looks great.
Yeah.
I think now like if it's homemade,
I think that's a different story.
Okay.
You hear about the guy who went to,
went to Spain.
Okay.
And he goes this fancy restaurant.
And he watches the waiters
carry over this meal to
some other guy. And it's, you know, it's two big circles. Yep. The man, the eater cuts in
and it's just, I mean, you can take the sounds he's making. It's the best thing he's ever
taste. He's like, oh, I mean, he's close to orgasm just on, just on eating it. And the traveler is
like, what, what is that? I want that. And the waiter says, oh, no, no, that's only one of those
a night. And he's like, well, what is it? He's like, well, that's the testicles from the
bull from the show.
Okay, well, can I come back tomorrow and get it?
He's like, oh, there's a way.
Maybe we can get you in a week.
So he gets on the line.
He's going to get those bull testicles in a week.
But he wants to keep going back to see if, like, everybody else experiences it the same way.
So it goes back the next night.
And there's a couple who's sharing them.
And they're just like, they're almost crying.
They're in tears because it's the best thing they've ever eaten.
thing they've ever eaten. And he sees this day after day. These people having these are like
religious experiences because of how delicious and succulent these bull testicles are. So
flavorful. And so finally it gets to be his day. And, you know, he's, he's not eating anything
all day long. He's saving up for this. It's like, it's going to be fantastic. And finally,
it's his time. He sits down. They bring him out. Just these tiny two little balls. It's like,
Well, what's this?
She says, well, the bull doesn't always lose.
Good.
The amount of testicle talk in the first 38 minutes of this show,
it has to have set a record, P-H-O-I record.
Not just Eagle's show record, like P-H-L-Y, probably all-city record.
Right?
I mean, listen, records were meant to be broken.
Pretty good.
Okay.
We're waiting on Dallas.
Dallas. We'll get him soon. What do you think the dynamics are like at tight end university?
You know, who's the alpha? I mean, it sounds like Kittle is kind of like the role leader there.
He's like the organizer. Yeah, it sounds like it. I would love that's, I wish that these of all
these events kind of happen within the same like three weeks span, which makes sense just because
where it is in the calendar. You know, I've been to masterminds. I've taken part in a couple of them
digitally like during like the COVID era. Like I was part of one of the D-line ones, one.
year. They're awesome.
They're so, and I would love to go to the tight end one at some point, but it's, they,
they are really, really cool when they're able to. What was the O-line one like?
I've been there three times. I've gone to Masterminds three times.
Shout out to Ed. What's that? Yeah. Shout out to Ed. Of course. Yep, shout out to Ed.
But yeah, I've been down there three times and I mean, it's all what they, what they've done to
grow it is crazy. The first year I went, it was in a room. I mean, not as small as like,
the studio space, but not too much bigger.
We're talking like 15 linemen,
mostly NFL guys.
So that one was much more like intimate.
And they were, it was all like pro.
Now they have grown in 300 people.
It's college players.
A lot of college coaches go.
So it's grown immensely.
But still, I mean, so much value.
The people that they bring in to speak.
And then just getting, you know,
you have Lane Johnson go up and talk about like his work habits on what a typical
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
I was talking about.
It's very, very cool.
So a lot to take from that.
And there's also, I mean, what is, what is great is, there is that camaraderie.
I, it was several years ago, I remember it was, but it was, I forget exactly what it was,
but it's the story of, like, one offensive lineman sort of telling another, like, a player,
a pass rusher on his team, like, what could beat him, right?
And it's like, these guys in this setting are all on the same team.
Right.
It's like it all started
As the story goes
It's like we're watching NFL top 100 in the summer
And it was the
It was the Aaron Donald thing
You know, wherever he came in the top 10 in that year
And Lane was doing the testimonial for it
And was talking about it was like yeah
Like we got to get everybody in room to figure out how to block this guy
And literally like that's so he was texting with Duke
Manyweather's trainer and they were like yeah like let's actually do that
And it was just so cool to like go those first
couple years and it's just like yeah like we're for the next 90 minutes they're going to watch
chrisons they're going to watch Aaron donald for another 90 minutes they're going to watch and they just
go through the top rushers inside outside uh in the NFL are what are the things you're going to do
against the guy like this extremely enlightening uh and it's just cool to again they kind of see those guys
talk shop and there would be like you said like i'm trying to think of an example just pretend it's
like brand and graham yeah or it's just like hey like it's uh you know zach martin talking about
yeah this is what you want to do against a guy like michael parsons right like it's it's it's
It was very cool to be in that environment.
That's cool.
I like that.
Well, we'll talk to Dallas about it shortly, hopefully.
I see Julia, you can hear the typing.
She's efforting.
There's a whole thing going on behind the scenes.
I think it's the brand of chubber.
Just know that Julia's working hard to make this happen.
So we're now five days out.
Yeah, five days out from the Super Bowl draft.
Yeah.
Social media response.
Yeah.
I would say it's 10, 5 to 10% think Zach had the best roster.
And that's just Vince's alt accounts.
Yeah.
So it's between, I would say between Instagram, Blue Sky and Twitter.
All right.
So this is what I've seen in my mentions about we'll say like 5 to 10% think Zach had the best.
I would say it's probably 35, 40% think it's you.
and then the overwhelming majority.
That's barely an overwhelming majority.
And that's just, and those are on your social media channels.
It's a selection bias issue.
I'm going off the going off what I see.
Okay, the people I have polled are overwhelmingly in favor of mine.
Here's how I would, I would frame it and I said this to the other day.
There is only, well, there are two places where I am weaker than the other two.
Right.
One is the offensive line, which is true, but it's still a good offensive line.
That's what I, because everyone said that about Zach's offensive line.
And I was like, yeah, but everybody's offensive line is very good.
I think that you and Zach are, have real holes at like position groups where relative to the rest of the league, it's only just sort of average.
Now listen, the defensive coordinator thing, yeah, like I, I believe that my roster makes up for that.
But yeah, there's a bit of a delta there.
I can't, I can't deny that.
you have Jonathan Gannon with the weakest defensive line
but it's still a good defensive line
and I have and I have by far the best back seven
you have the best back seven
I think our secondaries are closer than you think
I think our secondaries are closer than you think
let me see if I can you have the two slays I was just having this conversation
I was a buddy texted me about it yesterday so it's fresh my mind
you have the two Darius slays right
I have Malcolm Malcolm and Reed and Patrick Robinson
and Patrick Robinson yeah whereas I have
have Quinyon, Cooper, and Jalen Mills, a corner,
and then I have Roddy McLeod and Marcus Epps at safety.
Yeah, I think mine's better.
Yeah, but not like a huge, huge margin.
Now, you are obviously, you're significantly better at linebacker.
Right.
But I'm going.
Yeah, by the second half of the season, you're playing me at linebacker.
But I'm going with Vic Fangio to make it work.
Now, I also think, you know, to Todd's point, I mean,
you probably have the best quarterback,
Like, although I don't know, 2017, Nick Foles, you know, he's capable of playing anybody.
We didn't ask Todd directly, but I think his answer about Jalen being the court,
that was him saying that I have the best roster.
No, that's not what he was saying.
But I do think what he said was very interesting.
If you just think about the people that he played with,
about like they made it a lot of fun.
Yeah.
But maybe they didn't work as hard or weren't as fully committed as, as Jalen is.
He had never played anybody like that.
For him to say.
Yeah.
Especially as someone like, as he mentioned,
and he's still like close with people on the team,
despite not having not played basically any of them.
I thought that was notable.
Yeah, I agree.
Now, I mean, you've got both Devontes,
but Trey Burton and Torrey Smith, all due respect.
I mean, I got both AJs.
You've both A.
And I've got AGOOR.
So now you're an Agalore stand.
Well, he's very clearly the best.
You have that 50 catch season, that's true.
Of the third receivers.
Yeah.
By a mile.
He's also better than Tori Smith.
Yeah.
That year.
I had him ranked ahead of Tori Smith in the pre-draft ranking.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Julia's doing her best to make this happen.
There's a bit of a snafu with the with the zoo.
But that's okay.
We're going to be talking to Dallas about Tudan University,
plaque psoriasis.
I think we need to ask him the Zach question.
What's the best play of your career?
So there's a lot of Zach questions.
Yeah, the best player.
It's the best favorite career.
Yeah.
What do you think he'll say?
I think it might be the stiff arm against Green Bay.
Oh, the one against Green Bay.
Yeah.
I was thinking of the New Orleans play.
You think he'll go with Zach's?
I was, that's where my head went initially.
I don't know why.
Like, I don't know where this would rank in his head.
But I think often about that the touchdown catch he had against Chicago in the,
his rookie year, the double doin game.
The touchdown of the double move.
Yeah, that's a good one.
And I think about it only because of this.
I remember he would run that,
he was running that route off in his rookie year
and training camp.
And you could see like,
he was a good college route runner,
but was still like,
you know,
still developing,
had all the traits.
And you could see like the timing on the route
just wasn't like always there.
Like somebody he was like,
when you were doing a double move,
they don't want to go too fast through it.
Right.
You have to really sell it.
Right.
You have to like kind of slow play it.
And you can see like he was still kind of working through that.
The way he ran it in that Chicago game was just, I mean, it was like beautiful.
And then he made a great catch on the back end of it.
So that play stands out too.
I think about the catch he made on the sideline in the Super Bowl in 2022.
I mean, first of all, the throw from Jalen was insane, like the tiniest window.
And I just like my vantage point of that play from the press box was like you could see it so clearly.
And where were you at?
And he makes an amazing play.
Where were you at?
And they were initially rule it incomplete.
And they had the challenge.
He's clearly got his foot.
It was an unbelievable play.
So where were you?
So where were you?
So that throw was like coming in our direction.
So we were up high in that corner.
Got it, got it.
So the throw was coming towards us.
Got it.
Yeah.
Awesome.
Yeah.
Well, just, man, go full, you know, SNL.
Remember that play.
That was awesome.
Yeah, it goes.
All right.
I see all kinds of new emails in this thread with Julia and,
and Dallas's people.
So, you know, we're hoping.
Fingers crossed.
I'm all out of my bushlight.
What was your cheap beer of choice in college at parties?
Miller light.
Miller light.
Oh, fancy.
Yeah.
Now we went, there was usually blue light.
Okay.
Bush light, if we were, if we were really trying to be fancy.
How about liquor?
I don't know.
Didn't drink as much liquor.
Not that I was opposed to.
There are certain things,
even like thinking the words next to each other.
Vobbit comes up in my throat.
Yeah, and they are.
If I hear 99 bananas next to each other,
that's like immediate reaction.
99.
Oh,
all the monkeys come around.
What about you, Julia?
When you played beer pong,
what were you playing with?
Natty ice,
who yeah,
Bush ice,
that is a,
that is a devil's drink.
Is that like a,
uh,
woods like kegger kind of deal?
No,
like a house party playing,
playing beer pong.
A little,
little bonanza every now and then.
Uh, that's,
remember,
other people have different names for it.
It's like the,
it's a two on two game,
full beer on each corner of the table.
And you throw the ping pong ball at the beer.
And then,
then,
And once it hits the beer, the other team has to like pick up the ball and put it on the table.
And you chug while they're doing that and whoever finishes their beer first.
Oh, I've never played that game.
Hmm.
All right.
Like that.
How did a big flip cup guy?
I always did well on flip cup.
You did well in flip cup?
Yeah.
I like flip cup.
Okay.
A few others we would dabble with.
But Flip cup was was a go-to.
Okay.
What else?
7-Eleven doubles?
we would do a lot of card
a lot of uh drink card card cards
um
and then
what was the one
there was like uh
there was the one where you like would bounce the quarters
into the cup and the end of the shock glass in the middle
quarters yeah there was quarters but then there was another one that was like that
where oh bombs that's right so okay uh
where you have to do that right
and then oh no no no no no you spun the quarter
that's right you spun the quarter so while it's spinning
you had to chug and then put the cup down, pick the quarter up.
And if you did it clean, then you moved on.
If you messed up at any point, then you had to do it again.
And so as you're going on, that's a messier and mess here.
But once you finish your, once you finish your bottle, you now have a bomb.
So let's say you go and you spin.
Oh, and you can go and squash.
That's right.
And those glasses stay.
I think I play this in Australia maybe.
Yeah, it was a good one.
Chat's loving it.
Julius.
A lot of eagles talk on the show today.
I mean, the way it started, we knew we were, yes.
Within 45 seconds, we were talking about calf castration.
So you knew which kind of episode this was going to be.
Yeah.
If you could castrate one NFL person.
I'm not answering that question.
I mean, obviously it's Goodell.
Sure.
I mean, some people might go Mark Murphy.
Yeah.
Maybe you want to,
maybe you want to just,
you know,
cut off Jaden Daniels before he gets going
and eliminate the threat now.
I don't know that there's anything proven
to say that that would absolutely make him a worse player.
Could make him better.
Yeah, right.
Yeah.
Make him angrier.
Yeah.
There's a good ones in the chat.
Jerry Jones, you know.
Who knows to say?
Who's to say?
Wow, that's a good one.
Very Bo-esque question.
Thank you, Claire.
Some support in the chat for Deshawn Watson.
Good.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I've been watching, watching players every day.
Oh, okay.
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer today.
Not the old Tony Ascenda show players.
No, no.
Great show.
Sure.
It's a great show.
Yeah, it wasn't for me.
Oh, wow.
One season is going to kill you.
What's that?
Yesenda's going to kill you.
Yeah, I know.
I love that show.
That's a good show.
One season through the bear already.
Yeah, what do you think?
Pretty good.
I'm enjoying it.
Okay.
Did you do any of the other ones?
Not yet.
So I, like I said, I've already done season one.
So I don't know.
We'll see.
I have to see.
I don't know how if the season two, season three, season four or longer.
I did first episode of season two last night.
So I might go get that faster.
Yeah, see.
I'll probably do,
uh,
no,
I think I'll probably do,
um,
Station 11 next.
Because you said that was two seasons,
right?
No,
just one.
It was just the one.
Yeah.
Probably just,
I'll knock that out with class.
That's a banger.
Yeah.
I said this on the Discord and I texted you separate,
but station 11,
I had actually watched the first episode,
Meg and I watched the first episode.
Uh,
I saw it when I went to go add it to my list.
I was like, wait a minute.
I've definitely seen this.
It was just,
it was so heavy.
Meg was like,
first episode I,
I had to turn it off.
Yeah,
It was too close to the pandemic.
Yeah, I was like, I cannot do this.
But it was, it was sitting there hanging.
And yeah.
Yeah, it was a lot.
It was, it was worth it.
So what players have you done?
I did.
So I did my first couple of offensive tackles yesterday, the two Utah tackles.
One is like a lock first round pick, a really rock solid player.
You know my question.
How old are these guys?
The one is a junior from Utah.
and like
true junior. The other one
I'm pretty sure is a legit red shirt
sophomore. Both are the same class.
So that's
Caleb Lomu
is the second is the red shirt sophomore.
Now
you know what that's the that is
low moo
is what you have before the castration
once you get the castration
it's a pretty high pitch of that you have.
That was good.
So yeah, so Caleb Lomu is the, is the, like, I, he's a project like light-footed,
past protecting left tackle, whereas Spencer Fano, who his older brother, like, his older brother
did a mission, like, and was that, like, so he's a little bit older and is there.
So I, I'm 99% sure that Spencer did not do the mission is, you know, normal junior age, but
both were good players.
John Mateer this morning, who some people are billing as a first round potential quarterback.
Was I Washington State last year, transferred to Oklahoma this year.
Not my cup of tea.
Yeah, I don't know that he's that kind of guy, but fun player, fun college player.
Hope he goes back to school.
Okay.
So, I'm checking these emails.
Okay.
Technology.
Seems like we might not be able to make it happen today.
It's all right.
That's okay.
We'll have them on another time.
I'm on at some point.
I'm sure, Zach, it's probably.
like silently cheering because now he's like oh no he's the one who's been messing up the internet he's
been he's been hacking us yeah trying to make sure that we can't make this thing happen classic he wants
to be talking about testicles as much as possible he's he's got the fombo yeah he doesn't want to miss
the got it interview he better not be listening Zach if you're listening turn the show off
everybody else he would be in the chat if he was listening he's I mean he's going to listen
tonight right that's true um but usually if he's listening live he's in the chat very good point
How many more years do you think Dallas Goddard would need to be thought of as the best tied end in English history?
Yeah, this, I was in the chat on the show yesterday, as you guys were talking through this, three or four.
I think three.
Yeah, I think so.
I just think that when you look at, like, I think it's a different conversation if we're talking like full career resumes versus like peak of his powers.
Right, right.
Different thing.
Peak, if it's at, everybody at their peak and I'm drafting and I need to play one game,
I could make the argument I would take Dallas guy ahead of everybody else.
But I just think in terms of like time missed the fact that his first couple years,
like he was playing second fiddle two, Zach hurts.
I think that hurts him from that standpoint.
And it's probably, you know,
I'm sure there was a source of frustration for Dallas, honestly.
But I think that if you're looking at like full body of work,
it takes a little bit more time.
Yeah, I think that's right.
Yeah.
Where would you,
where do you have Seleck in that?
Well, that's so I was thinking about it yesterday,
as you guys were talking through,
if let's say Dallas got traded last month.
So all right, his career is the career is over.
Is he definitely better than Seleck?
I would probably put Seleck.
I think so too.
Yeah, I think so too.
But I'm like Dallas was a better player,
but in terms of what like no doubt.
Accomplishments.
Yeah.
Like I would say.
Well, and I wonder, I wonder,
I wonder if that stuff means anything to him, you know,
having a legacy in one place.
Yeah.
Versus feeling respected.
Sure.
I have said for a long time,
like Dallas, when he is healthy,
when he's on the field,
he is a top five player at the position.
And I like,
I feel very, very strongly about that.
There are very few tight ends in football
that impact the game as a pass catcher
and as a blocker equally well
at that high level.
And he's one of them.
All right.
Well, we have talked so much ball today
that I think we got to pivot away.
This was too much Eagles talk for us.
for a June.
So let's hit the off ramp
and head to
overtime.
How to do?
What are you smiling at, Jules?
I tried to,
I tried to do everything
that Zach normally would.
Yeah.
It's a, no, it's a little bit more of a
overtime.
Really?
I feel like it goes upwards.
Yeah, it does go upwards,
but it's a little bit more pointed.
Okay.
Overtime.
Yeah, that's right.
Like, kind of like,
And he really, he hits a different voice register.
He does, no question.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
I'll do better tomorrow or Thursday.
Okay.
Go back to the tape.
Julia, you're still in the doghouse just to be fair.
I know that you've been working hard today.
You're almost got out of it, but, you know, you didn't pay respects.
I knew you were at the golf out of it.
I knew you were there.
What was the best shot you hit the other day, Fran?
Aside from your monster drive on nine or one.
On one, yeah.
Um, honestly, I played, so we started on two.
And so it was Rich and I and, uh, playing together.
And, uh, I would say my, my best was probably outside of the T shot on one, which was the last
hole.
Uh, I had a really nice approach.
My second shot, probably put us, uh, eight yards from the pin on four, it was a par four.
Right?
Okay.
I think the five, I think four was a par four and my, our, my second shot.
Yeah, I was like here to Julie.
You guys make the birdie?
Yes.
Nice.
Made the birdie put.
Right.
And we're talking.
Yeah.
How about you?
I said on the show you yesterday.
There were two in particular.
One was a, what was it was an approach shot on?
16 or no.
Seven, something like that.
Okay.
Where there was, there was a sicko who was watching as we came in.
All four of us hit like really good approach shots, all good birdie puts.
but I went last and stuffed it to like two feet.
Nice.
That was very nice.
And then the other was that,
that really sharp dog leg left.
Yeah.
My buddy Mike put one in the fairway
so that I could try to drive the green without completely blind.
I never played the course before.
And I hit a three wood,
you know,
right over and landed on the green and gave us an eagle put.
The one that's like downhill.
Yes.
Towards the end.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's a tough one to cut.
Yep.
Yeah.
It was a good swing.
You got a really like sky.
Get over those trees.
Yeah.
It was beautiful.
Yeah.
Nice.
We missed the Eagle Pud and got made birding, but that's okay.
Would you guys finish?
Eight under?
Nice.
Four on each side.
Yep.
Very nice.
They did, they did a max score of a par, which, let's go, let's go bogey next year.
I agree with that.
Yep.
I know that you're going to get the same winner regardless.
Yep.
But I would like to see the whole leaderboard.
I want to know where we stack and there are teams who, you know, sometimes par is not that bad.
Agree.
You know, par three especially.
I think there would be some teams that would be getting bogeys there.
Yeah.
A little separation.
Yeah.
Didn't hurt anybody?
Yeah.
Okay.
What was your favorite part of the show today?
I mean, the ball talk.
The first two minutes.
Everything was just down.
I thought Todd was fantastic.
We need to be talking to Todd Boar.
He was good.
It was very insightful.
Yeah, that was great.
Thank you to Jamie for making that happen.
Outstanding.
Listen, we are going to close the show right now unless somebody makes a donation.
And if you make a donation, for every donation, we will go five more minutes.
Okay, I like this.
Okay.
We'll go five more minutes and we'll talk about.
And if you make a donation, you can tell us what you want us to talk about.
There you go.
I like that.
So I'm going to give everybody until 305.
Okay.
Otherwise, we're closing the show.
That's it.
You're out.
We're cutting it off like testicles.
I remember these donations go to a great cause.
Yeah, this is not for us.
This is for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
So by the way, like we're trying to catch the other markets.
Yeah,
the DLS was ahead of us.
So you're letting the people down in Dallas,
uh, pull ahead.
You think they're more charitable than you?
Come on.
Polar Jam.
There we go, Polar Jam.
All right.
So that means we go to 310.
All right.
Nice work.
Polar Jam.
Oh, Nick with another one.
315.
Here we go.
Um, what do they want us to talk about?
Yeah.
It's no polar jam and Nick.
A dollar for every minute.
$5 donations.
Oh, that's a good idea.
There you go.
Yeah.
Essentially what that worked out to.
What's the summer situation for the kids?
Camps.
Different week-long camps.
Like one of the biggest rackets going today is camps.
Well, it's for the most part.
It's less about the racket and more about like,
I mean, many places are like that.
Yeah.
And more about like, man,
and it's a lot to juggle, right?
Like, it's a separate job.
You know, Rachel has, like, taking it on as her, you know,
it's, this is like a, like a January project.
She gets everything, yeah, but it's like, it's tough.
Yeah, no question.
Yeah.
How about you?
Francis has one camp.
He's going to be there for all summer.
Okay.
Thankfully, it's pretty close by.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's, pay what you got to pay?
It's fair, like, a lenient to drop off bossy or like you can't go in until, like,
9 o'clock or I think it's 850 to 905 or something oh wow it's like get it's a very tight window
and then drop off is or pick up rather is like 245 to 310 or something it's tight yeah so like
yeah that's tough yeah and also like not super long day before here aftercare you can right
you know yeah yeah exactly um so yeah it's uh yeah it's uh yeah it's uh yeah
There's one place in particular where it's like they lock the doors.
You can't go in before 9 o'clock.
Like what are we doing?
Right.
Claire donated to $10.
Oh, thank you, Claire.
She has a question now.
She has a question that is not, I'm not going to answer.
We're not there yet.
We're not there.
We got to give the reveal.
So we're not going to answer that.
Sixers talk says Nick.
What would you do if you were Darry
All right.
So here's my thing.
So I've done obviously like following it.
What is your relationship to other drafts from an NFL draft?
We'll get into it tomorrow on the show on the midday show with with Bodner and with Charlie.
But I follow it less certainly that I used to.
I used to follow the NBA draft a lot closer.
Now I kind of follow it from afar.
I would say I am
probably not in on Ace Bailey.
I think I'm out on Ace Bailey too.
I think I'm out on Ace Bailey too.
Am I being silly?
Am I being, you know,
to anonymous scouting?
No, you know, this is like
he can't cook his own dinner type deal.
But you know what?
The can't cook his own dinner thing?
Turned out to be right.
It was Eli Apple.
It was Eli Apple, yeah.
Okay.
But yeah, I think I'm out on Ace Bailey
and yeah if you wanted to convince me that you wanted to trade up sure it's like it gives me a little
bit of the hebi-jeebies just because of the the Markell Fult's Jason Tatum of it all but um but yeah
I think that's where I'm at I'm excited to talk through it with those guys tomorrow I'll be on the
sixer show uh with with Derek and with Kyle and then or no it's with Rich and Devon yeah I think
it's with Rich and Devon um and then uh yeah we're doing the draft show as well
well so that'll be fun so do you do you like an edge comb yeah i think edge comb staying at three i think
edgecombe would be the guy that would be my preference personally okay like the other i like what i've
read and heard about the athleticism and the upside there um yeah i think i'd be in on edgecombe i am also
speaking from way less yes information than than i used to have uh as an NBA draft fan but
I wouldn't mind if you're if there's someone giving you something real I wouldn't mind moving down a couple
spots right joneson tray johnson trade johnson is the texas kitt because who's like the score but
it doesn't do anything else right yeah right yeah but that's saying i mean yeah that's been some morons
opinion yeah that's what like i i was going through the uh the diehard draft guide he was he was
four on the uh on the big board there uh so i was going through and just kind of reading reading the
report there on him and it was like all right like kind of getting the book on him but
yeah I'm interested to see like how these guys what do you think of the other the other duke kid
I'm not taking the nipple man you're not you're not hit on him the white nipple from duke come on
you know how I feel about that that's what I figured I do how you're going to feel about con canipal
double k from duke the report the white guy I enjoyed that I enjoyed the report I enjoyed the
can you think of anybody less likely for me to like that's what I that's why I was
interesting here the response. Yeah, no chance. You have any thoughts on the
NHL draft? I don't. Not yet. Yeah. I wish I did. I'll do some reading
on Charlie. I know Charlie has started posting the draft profile videos
after watching all of them last year. I will say if you have not and if you're
like interested in learning more, I would tune into those those videos from Charlie.
So I will be watching them in the coming days.
Futz wants to know what movie football player would improve this Eagles team the most.
Hmm. Listen, they need edge rush.
help. Give me Bobby Boucher.
Well, that's what I, but didn't he play line?
He was linebacker, though, wasn't he?
I mean, he's like an, he's like an L.T. linebacker.
He's a stand-up edge rusher.
Yeah.
Now the problem is, you know, we didn't see him in the NFL.
This is in, this is college.
We don't know the level of play, you know.
Right.
Can't cook his own dinner.
That would be definitely not.
But, you know, you're not taking Willie Beeman.
No.
I think of somebody from the report.
You're not taking Shane Falco.
Joe Douglas from the replacement.
Go Todd Douglas from the replacements.
Playwright guy.
Shane Falco.
You know, you're not taking,
certainly not taking Dennis Quaid.
What am I forgetting?
There's many football movies.
No, what about, how about Long as Yard?
Nelly?
Yeah.
A little juice.
What about it from Playmakers?
Compliment to Sequin.
Um, hmm.
Man, Playmakers was way ahead of its time.
That was a great show.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I think I think
I think
I think it's
Bobby Bouchet
maybe Bobby Boucher
yeah
I think I'd be on Bobby Boucher
a good question
okay
um
I mean we've committed to going to
at least 320 at this point
that's on you
that's on me
I'm doing my part for charity
I'm basically a hero
yeah
spike from little giants
good one there from Futs
icebox
yeah
um
We watched Sandlot with Casey.
Nice.
The other night?
I'm fantastic.
There was,
there's a line in Sandlot that I have never seen him laugh so hard.
Like,
like,
just uproariously like,
lost it.
And I mean,
I've seen him laugh a lot.
I was just absolutely lost it.
Who was it?
It was when they play the other team.
Yeah.
And,
the catcher is,
you know,
talking some action.
Right.
My dog was as ugly as you.
I'd shave its butt and make it walk backwards.
And he just lost it.
Just absolutely off the deep end.
Like completely lost it.
It was so good.
That's good.
Yeah.
That's good.
Yeah, I'm, uh, that's, that's, that's one I've got in the back burner.
The old love to show and France at some point.
A lot of butt talk in your house?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, six year old.
Well, I know, but I don't know.
We don't help.
It's also the six-year-old and now,
you know, a four-year-old two or seven and four.
So like they're playing off of each other.
Right.
I'm not sure how much the four-year-old is informing it,
but if you're giving me the six as well, then yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, there's plenty of butt talk.
Butts are funny.
No question.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We played a, uh,
Casey basically, like, invented Pictionary.
Okay.
The other night.
He's like, I'm going to draw picture and got to guess what it is.
Yep.
Uh, and most of them were very good.
but there was there was a button there okay nice this is a toilet too nice no i drew the toilet he
added the stink lines okay good artistic very good rendering so yeah good stuff uh while we're so
i had the show on so i picked francis up yesterday had the show on when we got back and so i had
you guys up i was trying to get i was writing finishing up uh writing up the utah tackles that we were
talking about earlier sure and francis was in the office with me so hello moo uh yes so so
trying to keep in
I was like you're not we're not doing
you're not jumping into like video games
or tabler or anything right now so like
you gotta occupy yourself
so we came up with a game of
there's a website where it's like random
Pokemon generator
oh okay so you can like pick the
type and the file
all the different things
and so I would like all right
give me whatever specifications you want
I hit generate it pops out
Pokemon on the screen and now you got to go draw it
oh that's fun
that held us that held for like an hour
and a half
oh that's really good
We would steal that.
That's really good.
It was fun.
We play a game sometimes where just invent a new Pokemon card.
So it's either.
It could be a,
could be a Pokemon.
It could be like a trainer card or a supporter card.
I'm pretty sure there's a website for that.
Like where you can go and like make.
Oh, you can create it?
Yes.
Oh, that's cool.
You can take some of Casey's creations and bring them life.
Jay Chime says his four-year-old is always talking about booty butts.
This reminds me of a story of,
a friend of mine who was a teacher,
I want to say, you know, second grade or something like that.
Okay.
And like she left the room and one kid had logged into the computer
and searched something on Google.
And you're like, okay, what do they search?
And that's what it was, booty butt.
It's pretty good.
It's pretty good.
So Saturday was Francis's last day of T-ball.
And afterwards, they had...
Did they give you standing O?
As the commissioner?
No.
Okay.
It's, I'm sure I've got a check in the mail or something.
But afterwards, they had, like, the older kids, there was a tournament going on.
So I'm like, oh, like Francis, we'll grab, you want to grab, like, grab a breakfast
sandwich, we'll sit in the bleachers, watch the game.
So, yeah, sure.
So we're sitting and we're watching.
And one of Francis's friends from school is on the team came and sat with us.
So they're climbing up and down the bleachers.
And I'm like, guys, like, don't climb up to the top.
You're going to fall.
go, his friend goes up to the very top row.
So one friend goes to the top row and he's like,
pretend he's going to jump and he's looking to me and I'm like,
don't do it, don't jump, you're going to hurt yourself.
And there are two dads from,
they're watching the game, their sons play this game.
They're older kids from a different town,
like because these are two random teams for a different town playing.
So the one guy goes, oh, he's going to jump.
Then the other guy goes, uh, he's not going to jump.
He's not going to jump.
So, so Francis, this friend turns to him and he's like,
You don't know anything.
You're just an old man.
The guy was like 32.
It's like it's 9.30 in the morning on a Saturday.
Just going right for the jug.
Just right for the jugular.
Oh, just so good.
You're just an old man.
I've thought about that like 10 times since then.
That is so good.
I thought it was going.
I thought he was like,
they were going to go to him into.
jumping. Oh, he ended up jumping. He was fine. Yeah, he ended up jumping like 30 seconds later.
Oh, that's really good. So good.
All right. We owe you three more minutes.
I mean, unless somebody's doing it's a good.
Yeah, I'm going to go 325.
Oh, that's very good. You're just an old man.
You don't know anything. You're just an old man. You're just an old man.
I guess we're going to have to, I guess we're going to have to rename the title of this episode, huh?
We can't be. We can't be falsely promising Dallas.
You know, and once we know that he doesn't join.
I mean, it's got to be talking balls with Todd Herrman's.
Yeah.
Balls, no, her?
Yeah.
I think of a cash straight, joke.
Cash straight, cash, homie.
Cash straight?
I think it's a cash 10.
Rubber, rubber band man.
That's good.
Got some options.
All right.
What a nutty episode.
Thoughts on Renaissance fairs?
I would like to go to a Renaissance fair.
I've never been.
I mean, I've been when I was a kid.
I haven't been as an adult.
I would be in.
I would like to go.
I think we've gone twice with Francis.
Yeah, he likes it.
I'd like to go.
I mean, I really want to take him to medieval times.
Let's go say.
You like middle.
Yeah.
Oh, I mean, we would have a great time.
Yeah.
I haven't been.
Yeah.
It was fun.
It reminds me of there was a,
I think my dad used to tell me the story about all the different minor league teams.
There was a team called the Nads.
Okay.
So like, let's go Nads.
Let's go Nads.
Good.
What's your favorite minor league team name?
I used to love the Toledo Mudheads.
That was the one as a kid growing up, classic.
Yeah.
I'm not into like all the, now they keep changing their names just to be wacky.
Right.
It's not as interesting.
Yeah.
I always like the mudheads as well.
Yeah, mudheds.
Boring answer for me.
Yeah.
Okay.
Claire wants to know we're getting the Barbie watch along.
It's a Zach question, though.
Yeah, that's up to Zach.
Yeah.
Toss those beautiful pink slippers.
He was gifted by the good folks who watch this program.
Spiteful.
Vermont Lake Monsters.
I'm familiar with them.
How is this?
I was going to be a draft question, but you don't care.
We'll talk about tomorrow.
Okay.
All right.
I think we can wrap it up.
320.
Thanks everybody for hanging with us on what I,
I think that Zach will agree is the best episode we've done this year.
I think, yeah, it's, I mean, it's right up there with.
I mean, it had everything.
It had undelivered anticipation.
It had castration talk.
It had shun Derek Powell.
I mean, what more could you ask for?
Yeah, I mean, we talked the, the NFL Spring League.
We talked through our favorite alcohol drinks from high school.
I forgot about that, yeah.
drinking games.
Good time.
Good time had by all.
No doubt about it.
Now tomorrow's going to be even more fun.
Maybe impossible.
But tomorrow will be at least as fun.
We're looking forward to that.
So join us 8 to 8 a full 12 hours.
We got different streams, Julia?
This is one long stream?
How does this work?
So it's going to be one length the whole day.
Nice.
Does anyone else get that though?
Something tells me like, if you said that the Cuzz,
Cuzz would be like, I don't know what that means.
So we have the live shift change.
That's kind of fun.
But everything's out there?
Got it.
It'll be fun.
Join us.
Join us for that.
8 o'clock to 8 o'clock.
If one of you proves that you watched all 12 hours in a single setting,
I think you should get something.
I like that.
How would you prove that?
I don't know.
Find out tomorrow.
Comment in every hour.
Like that.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Thanks, everybody for watching and listening.
Thank you to Todd Harriman's for being our mystery guest.
And that's all we got.
We'll talk to you tomorrow all day long.
Don't miss it with PHOI for Julia and Fran.
I'm Bowie.
Thank you for watching and listening.
We'll talk to you tomorrow.
And as always, we love you.
