Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello audio listeners. Bo and EJ here. We're getting ready for draft season. Episodes are going to be full. Are you going to keep doing the voice all the whole time? I don't know. But we got, listen, we got to check a box. So let's do it.
Starting point is 00:00:17 Let's talk about something not related to football. You got some good nonsense, some good food talk. You got a food question for me. What is it? Yeah, so you were on vacation last week, so I didn't get to ask you about a food item that came up on the show. How do you feel about a piece? And J Burger?
Starting point is 00:00:33 I've never had one. Okay. Don't know that I would ever have one, but I also am not necessarily opposed to the idea of it. Okay. I appreciate you being curious and not judgmental. I'm like Fran, who is just judgmental, not curious at all. So I think the PBM burger... I would like a bite.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I would like one bite. Yeah. Okay. The P.B. and J Burger to me is on the all time. It shouldn't work, but it does list. Okay. Something about like a warm peanut butter on a cheeseburger. It doesn't sound good.
Starting point is 00:01:02 It sounds like weird to describe. But it adds like a savouriness to it. And then the jelly, I mean, jelly is not, it's in the same neighborhood as ketchup. If we're just being honest. It's a sweet comment. Yeah. And you need a, I mean, you need a lubricant if you go on peanut butter and burger. A sweet lubricant, if you will.
Starting point is 00:01:19 So. You need some kind of lubricant, yeah. And really, the peanut butter and the jelly are obviously one of the most tried combinations. I have a question for you. Yes. Does it, what's the layering? So, because I imagine if I was building it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I'm going, I'm actually, I'm actually going jelly on the bottom bun, then burger, then peanut butter on top of the bun. So the reason why this came up is because I ordered it in Phoenix the last night we were there. Okay. Before I got on the plane, which was bold in hindsight. Okay. Well, you were eating your feelings because you and I had gone our separate way.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Yeah, so I was going to miss you. I needed some courage through food. So it was a chicken cheese burger for the record. Oh, wait, hold on a second. It's not just a burger. You're putting bacon and cheese on there too? This one had that on it. It was well regarded as their most ordered thing.
Starting point is 00:02:16 That to me is a bridge too far. Well, listen, I mean, it's not, it's an indulgent burger no matter how you slice it. It is going to be an out there. It's not a staple. You're not eating this every time you eat a burger. But every once in a while, want a I mean gourmet is not the right word but you know what I mean you want like a elaborate cheeseburger so this one I had was a hamburger I think it was it was like the yellow American cheese
Starting point is 00:02:38 if I had to guess um I don't actually know which one it was from being honest I mean there's a lot going on I don't want cheese on my PB and J burger I mean I've never had one but I think you got to try it I'm speaking out of ignorance and then it's the bacon and then it's the g the jelly and then the peanut butter and the jelly and the peanut butter can mix okay as they are as they were made to do in my opinion. And then from there, you don't have vegetables on that burger. You know, you're going that far. Oh, yeah. God forbid me put vegetables in that burger. I'm not that guy. I am not that guy. I like a vegetable on a burger. I like onions. I like lettuce. I like tomato. I like all. I love veggies on a burger. But this burger's got a lot going on. You can't add. Yeah. I think that makes sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:18 And I'm telling you, when you look at the ingredients, it's like that shouldn't work. But unless you've tried it, I don't think you can knock it. You know, I think it's one of those things once you try. It's like, yeah, this actually does work. I guess I'm just a purest about my PB&J burger. I don't want bacon and cheese anywhere near it. I think the cheese helps because I think really if you had to zoom out, a PB&J and a burger are both things that have like a perfect balance of like sweet and savory if you do them right.
Starting point is 00:03:46 And then you just mix them together. And they're still perfectly balanced. Okay. There is a PB&J burger that is like well known and renowned in this area. And based off of Fran's objection to the, the PB&J Burger, I think it would be fun to go. I think this is my official proposal to you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:04 That we make a trip. It's in Maniunk. I don't want to give any free advertising. Okay. But I heard from several people that we should go there and try the PB&J burger. Maybe a little content in the off season. Okay. Have we gone long enough?
Starting point is 00:04:19 We got two minutes. Oh, okay. So tell me again about the layers. No. How about, do you have a food that's like that? Do you have a food that is like, shouldn't work, but it does? Um, no, not that I can think of. Um, I think it's more just like, uh, if I happen to be home alone and there's just random stuff in the fridge.
Starting point is 00:04:49 I mean, I'm probably, I'm probably going to make a plate with all of that stuff together. You're taking it as like a challenge? Like, you're one of those guys. It's like, it's just, you know, all going down the hatch, I guess. Yeah. Now, if I'm going to mix stuff together, it's, I don't know, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't make stuff together. It'll just be tortilla chips with cheese and you put them in the microwave. You're never too old to eat that.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I don't know if that's true. You disagree? You know, when's the last time you ate microwave? Well, if you're like 95 years old and, uh, that's fine. You know, you're all dentures, then maybe, maybe you can't be doing that. I mean, I feel like that's still. I have not had, I have not had microwaved nachos in a very long time. Really?
Starting point is 00:05:30 these two decades. Wow. I mean, it's been like a month. If I'm making homemade nachos, I'm put them in the oven. Yeah, but sometimes like,
Starting point is 00:05:37 I don't know, sometimes the microwave nachos that you had when you were a kid, they just hit. I don't think I ever had that as a kid. Really? Lindsay, did you have microwave nachos
Starting point is 00:05:44 when you were a kid? Yeah, everybody has microwave nachos when they're young. It's like the easy thing you can make in that in your house. I would go, if you're doing that, I would do microwave cassidia.
Starting point is 00:05:52 You just, you get a little tortilla and put some cheese on there. This will be a good close for this. I didn't know, that a cassidia was like a household thing you could make until I was in my 20s. It was Julia's family that opened my eyes to the cassidia.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Probably one of the first things that a child could make. Yeah, not in my house. Microwave nachos. I wasn't a big grilled cheese guy. It is literally. Yeah, but you wouldn't microwave a grilled cheese. But you wouldn't really microwave a cassidia either. Sure you can.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I mean, but you would just put it on the pan if you're going to do that. No, I think if you're a 10-year-old, you can put it in the microwave. All right. I respect that. Very easy. Yeah, I can understand that. All right, good stuff. The draft is just over two weeks away.
Starting point is 00:06:39 We got you covered going position by position. But first, you needed to hear about this peanut butter and jelly burger.
