Hello everybody and welcome to the PHLY Eagles podcast on a beautiful Thursday afternoon
live from the Xfinity studio and presented by Toyota.
A wolf, Fran Duffy, E.J. Smith, all of us here trying to figure out who we are, what it is that we do.
If you're in the chat, I think there's about a million of you by the looks of it.
Make sure you're hitting that like button.
And if you're watching after the fact, comment below and say,
hey Lindsay nice job on the thumbnail yeah absolutely brand how you doing well great this is a this is a
fun matchup to break down very familiar the eagles and rams have played a lot over the years but uh
two very like distinct identities on both sides of the ball and that makes for a fun matchup to break down
well do what do you think the eagles have a distinct identity i meant that the rams have a distinct
identity on both sides of them so it just makes for a fun you know discussion on both sides okay e j
how are you uh i'm you know a little little tired spent a lot of time last night this time
Just shut up, shut up, let me get through what I was about to say.
You guys never let me just make a joke.
You always have to just step in.
I was going to say, I'm a little tired because I was sitting up late last night,
just thinking to win, you have to lose.
In order to win, you got to lose.
Just really stirred my soul.
So, yeah, a little tired.
Jerk.
Good stuff.
All right.
Let's kick things off with the news and let's do it through the prism of what's brewing,
presented by our friends at Wawa, EJ, at the hang at the complex yesterday.
Yeah.
I'm going to let you, I'm going to let you give the breakdown here,
but I want you to not talk about the one thing that I want to talk about.
That's going to be hard.
Is it the thumbnail?
No.
Oh, okay.
Just leave us on the all-time performance that was put on yesterday in the locker.
Yeah, okay. I think that that actually does serve well to the inverted pyramid that I like to try and say.
You get the, you get the important stuff. Yeah, I get the newsy stuff and then we'll have a laugh at the end.
So yeah, I think the most newsworthy thing from the availability yesterday is probably Jalen Hertz continuing to be more open at the podium.
I always say that after losses, he sometimes has a tendency to kind of treat the podium like almost like a therapy, therapy session where he can sort of talk about, you know, he can sort of process things and go through things.
And, you know, I think what he told us about what he had said to the team after this loss was really interesting.
So we have the quote here.
He says, one of the key questions I asked the team following the game is who are we?
Ask yourself that question because it's a choice that you can make, just being deliberate and intentional and how we move forward so we can continue to improve.
Which Jalen talks a lot about identity in the beginning of each season and finding out what the team's identity is going to be, really what the offensive identity is going to be, with a new offensive.
coordinator. I found that very interesting though, that he kind of let us, you know, opened a window
into something that he said to the team after that loss to the Bears. What do you make of that?
I think it, again, I think it aligns a lot with Jalen being more open this year. Probably him trying to be
more of an open leader also, not just open with us, but open with his teammates. And I think, you know,
it's something we talk about on this show. We don't really know what the Eagles offensive identity is.
And I think he wants, again, this isn't the first year he said that this is an important thing, but I
he does think it's very important that they figure out what they can major in.
And I think it's probably intentional that he lets us know that that's something that he's
pushing for behind the scenes.
Well, and it's interesting because part of the reason that I think he, you know, made the
pitch at the end of last season for wanting to have a home offensively so that they didn't
have to go through this every season.
Now this is the beginning, this is only the beginning of this new coordinator.
But I think part of the hope was that they would be able to find, and I have an identity
quicker. But I think as we've talked about, I'm not so sure that their best identity is the identity
that they wanted in the summer. So if you, Fran, if you were trying to figure out on offense,
what this team can major in, what their identity can be. How would you go about it? Well, I think that
first of all, I would be remiss too if I didn't also just kind of squeeze in here. The Eagles are not the
only team that is like, oh, sure, sure. This has become a resounding theme around the NFL for teams
on both sides of the football. I think a lot of that has to do with the way the teams approach the, the
summer and preseason and not playing your starters.
Because now, like, this used to be a topic of conversation during training camp,
and now it's kind of transition to September where it's like, all right, now we're really
playing and we're going full bore.
So to answer your question, I think the big, we're starting to see them make some subtle
tweaks, right?
Like, this is a team that, you know, coming into the year, we all said, like, yeah,
they want to be a multiple tight end team.
They want to be able to play.
But they're leading the team or they're leading the league right now and 11 personnel,
because they understand we can't, we're not that guy.
We are not that type of team that can line up in base personnel offensively and continue to move the football in a consistent rate.
So they have gotten away from that.
We'll see if it returns at some point once Dallas Godd is back into the lineup.
But right now they're not going to try and play that way.
I think they are still kind of finding their way from like a run concept standpoint.
I think the drop back past game, like all right, they're still kind of feeling that feeling through that.
But, you know, I think we're seeing some subtle shifts.
And a lot of it is just like the discussion behind the scenes.
You know what you want to be like the bones and like the personality,
but it's like, all right, what do you want to do conceptually?
That's what you're trying to feel on your way through
and just say like, all right, what do we do best?
Do you think that there's an element of this where we saw what it looked like in training camp
to France Point?
It was a lot of heavy personnel sets, a lot of under center, a lot of play action.
And that has not been what they majored in once the regular season began.
And I wonder from Jalen's perspective, it's like I spent all summer working on this stuff.
Yeah.
And now that we are in the heat of battle, it is 11 personnel.
they're 26 and undercenter usage so far through the season.
And I don't have their play action numbers,
but I guarantee you they're probably at least bottom third,
if not bottom five in the NFL right now.
So yeah, I think maybe for Jayland,
it is a little bit like this is a real departure
from what I spent all summer thinking we were going to major in.
I do think that is,
because I think Nick Siriani was asked about that,
like the under center would play and the play action stuff.
And he said, I actually buy this,
because I think that is, this is the case,
is that because they've been so terrible on first and second down,
Like, you know, they haven't been able to get, A, into any kind of a rhythm with that stuff from a play calling standpoint.
But more importantly, when you're behind the sticks, that takes away, like, the play action under center element of things.
And so I think those numbers would be higher if they just had better.
But they would not be, even if they were a little bit more successful.
They wouldn't be top 10 in the league.
It probably would be top 10.
Closer to the middle.
Yeah.
But to Jaylin's point, though, to Jaylen's point, that is part of the identity, though.
You know, it's like, yes, there's a reason that they haven't gotten to it.
But if you're Jalen, it's like, well, we have to get to it.
You know, like you have to, we have to figure out our early down plan so that we can get into neutral situation so that we can get to this stuff.
All of this requires a lot of faith in Sean Mannion.
Yeah.
Because it is very understandable for a team with a brand new coaching staff, a brand new play caller, and a lot of new pieces on offense to need some time in live action to figure out who is good at what they are good at as a collective.
and it requires being like,
okay, Sean Mannion is going to be able to figure this out.
And it's the same thing we always talk about
whenever somebody is hired,
they're always going to say,
well, you know, it's players not place.
And it's my job to figure out what guys do
and put them and build the offense around them
and not just force them into what I want to do.
And usually that is easier said than done.
And it's now upon them to be able to execute that.
And it's part of the reason that, you know,
when Howie Roseman says,
we don't like to chase trends.
That is where they've sort of found themselves here,
hiring just another, you know, McVeigh, Shanahan, Tree System guy.
And they're telling us that they hired the guy, not the scheme.
But as we've sort of talked about,
when you are on the back end of the trend,
not only are they not, you know, the Vic,
they're more of the Desai,
but you're going up against the league
that is now more prepared than ever
for this version of,
offensive football. Yeah, especially, I mean, friend, you can correct me, but it feels like the
version of the Eagles are running, they're especially prepared for because of the heavy 11,
the heavy amount of 11 personnel usage there, which I don't want to belabor it. You know,
I'm kind of becoming like the multiple tight end set guy, but I just, you know, I wrote about this on
all p.hawai.com this morning, which is you look at the teams that are using 13 personnel,
the Rams being among them, the most in the NFL, they are really a lot of the most innovative minds in
the NFL are pushing that. That's not to say the Eagles should be going out.
there in 13 personnel.
It's a team building reflection.
But I think the way that the team is built and the way that they turn this offense,
you know,
into something that is a little bit more popular in the NFL,
they are a little bit behind the curve.
It's not saying they can't be successful that way,
but they are not playing like the cutting edge of what NFL offenses look like.
And part of what I think we will get to is this week,
it might be difficult to find an identity because they may not have Devante Smith.
Yeah.
You know,
because I think the identity of the offense should probably revolve around Devante more
than anything else and you're not going to be able to do that this week. Yeah, let's get,
let's get to that really quick here. So there are two players that were on the injury report
during yesterday's practice. It was an estimation. They had a walkthrough. So these guys weren't
actually out there and we didn't have access to practice as a result. Devante Smith did not
practice of the hamstring injury. That's something that's on my radar. I know he was out last week
as well, but the fact that this is lingering, I think is something to keep an eye on. I think
today will be a very instructive day for Devante. Zach Bonn with a concussion.
on the injury report did not practice.
A short week, it's tough to envision him making it back in time.
I mean, he'd have to be out there today.
And in fact, that he's out yesterday.
It speaks to that being.
I mean, in this matchup in particular,
there's no player on defense you need more than Zach Bonn,
even more than Quinnian.
Yeah, I would agree.
I mean, if you look at it, like if we went back three weeks from now
or four weeks ago, we would have said Devante and Dallas got it
are the two players you can't be missing on offense.
And Zach Baum would have been top three, top two,
especially in this matchup to your point.
So yeah, the injury reports could be big this week.
It's an important thing to keep an eye on.
Okay.
And it's not looking great going into Thursday's practice.
All right.
What else before we get out of what's brewing?
Yeah, so I think the Eagle secondary has been under a lot of scrutiny,
understandably so after that game.
And what I can tell you from A, asking around before availability yesterday
and also just availability yesterday,
I do not think Cooper to Gene moving to safety is something that is imminent.
you know, Vic Fangio said as much.
I think that they view him as one of the best nickel corners in the NFL,
and they don't want to move him out of nickel.
The safety spot is an issue,
and they are not really shying away from the fact that that is an issue.
Vic said that they're going to continue to rotate Michael Carter
and Marcus Epps in that spot opposite Andrew McCuba.
I asked Vic, do you want one of those guys to settle in?
And he said, that's always the goal.
So I think that speaks to, you know, the old adage about if you have two starting
quarterbacks, you have none.
I think that's where they're at with safety.
quarterbacks. What's that?
What about backup?
I think that one also applies to get two backups.
You have none.
Kenny Moore, I think, will eventually factor into that safety position.
I know people view him as a nickel.
I think the Eagles view him as a safety.
Kenny Moore talked about it, a little bit more on that in a minute.
He talked about it being a big transition to go from nickel to safety, especially
in this defense.
So yeah, Vic kind of said, like, he might factor in eventually, but he has to kind of get
through this onboarding process.
And one more quick note about Kenny Moore before I throw it over you.
Kenny Moore said yesterday, he confirmed that another team was interested in him.
There was a Jeremy Fowler report from ESPN that the Cowboys had explored signing Kenny Moore
when he was on the Eagles practice squad. They were exploring, adding him to the active roster.
Kenny Moore decided to stay with the Eagles. He said it was a weird situation where it was
really just about like which practice did he show up for, which is crazy to think about.
He's only been with the Eagles for a week, but he said the comfortability he had with the organization
is why he ended up deciding to stay. So instead they trade for Joey Porter Jr.
I know. Yeah, I was asleep in that.
trade came through.
Actually, no, I wasn't because I was thinking about.
You were really tired, to be fair.
No, no, no, I was thinking about what Jalen said, so I wasn't asleep.
Yeah, I was up late.
Let's close the book on What's Brewing, presented by Wawa, and let's talk about
for a second.
So I have no idea.
I'm completely blind to what's about to happen here.
It's good.
It's good.
One of probably the most prolific locker room performances I've ever seen from Kenny Moore yesterday.
So yesterday, this is.
schedule was such that locker room is open concurrent with Vic talking and then Jalen talking.
So there aren't that many reporters in the locker room at first. And there are not a lot of players
at all in there. I go over and talk to Kenny Moore. We have a lovely conversation one-on-one.
I had noticed, you know, a little reporter and just, you know, a little, keeping an eye out on things
at Saturday's locker room session. He was like sitting in his locker looking at the
playbook. He's got he's got like a paper and a pen and he's taking notes. And I see him saunter over to
Cole Wisniewski's locker and he's talking to Wisniewski about something and they're just like
looking at stuff together and he's writing more stuff down. So I had gone over to ask him about what
that was like and just get a sense of, okay, this is a guy who has only ever been one place before.
He's in a new team, a new system. Not a lot of people he knows. He said like it's familiar because he
knows Nick and Nick borrows a lot from Frank Reich, but he doesn't know a lot of people here.
You know, what's this transition like? He's talking about how he just moved into an apartment.
And he's trying to make it, I'm trying to like, what's your, what's the daily routine?
How do you try to, because I saw the way that he was taking notes. Like, okay, let's let's figure this out.
And he's like, okay, well, I go home. I'm more of a visual learner, but I try to go through the
playbook. I just got this home. I got to make it look like home. I got to make it feel like home before
I can get to work. So I've put up all these family pictures here, all this stuff.
and we're having a nice conversation.
He's talking about Wisniewski.
And then he's talking about the actual transition from nickel to safety.
I mean, confirming that he's a safety here.
He's working with the safeties.
And he's talking about how it's kind of fun because when you're the nickel,
you're like really in the muck.
And now what you're at safety,
you get to see things play out a little bit more.
And it's kind of like you've,
you're letting someone else do the dirty work now.
You've kind of graduated from it.
And I'm talking to him about how that's,
Oh, that reminds me of like, it's like a writer and going from a writer to an editor.
Like you can appreciate the stuff on the ground, but now you get to be kind of over, you know, over top.
We're talking for like eight, nine minutes, okay?
Yeah.
Then I leave him alone.
Andrew DeCechko then comes over and talks to that.
Andrew.
For another five, six minutes.
So now Kenny Moore is just, you know, stand up.
He's been talking for 15 minutes.
That's the only guy in the locker room.
And then everybody comes in from the Jalen Hertz Press conference, cameras, all the other reporters.
and there's nobody else to talk to,
they all go over to Kenny Moore.
Sure.
Kenny Moore is talking to them
for like 20 minutes.
It was so long.
I do not think.
I have ever seen
an individual
talk to reporters
for a combined amount of time
in one locker room session
longer than Kenny Moore did yesterday.
He might get cut next week
and he'll still win
the Good Guy Award this year.
You know what?
He might be the leader in the clubhouse right now.
Shout out to Kenny Moore.
He talks for at least.
It might have been 40 minutes.
Wow.
Yeah.
And before I, right as I'm going over to him, he's, he's walking to his locker and he passes one of the Eagles media staffers.
And he calls that person by name.
Hmm.
And that person was flabbergasted.
Wow.
That he remembered his name from just being here one week.
And at the end of our conversation, he said, thanks, Bo.
Really?
Guys got it.
You want to talk about soaking up knowledge.
Yeah.
Quick learner.
Yeah.
Charmer.
That is one thing that players are coached.
do from the BPA professionals like learn the reporter's name and start using them and calling
them a first bit first name basis oh they like that so you do you do the trick where you like
repeated in your head at the beginning is like now i just kind of go by personality like oh okay wow
man cameo impressive guy came oh is that what he goes by that's what he goes by now can i give you
one more locker room no yeah uh i caught up with elize stowers yesterday um i wanted to close the
loop on the what are you laughing about i mean were you safe yeah right
What?
Were you safe?
I don't understand.
You got a baby on the way.
No, no, no.
That had nothing to do with Eli Stahler.
Okay.
Any player.
Were you wearing a helmet?
No, I regret telling that story.
Yeah, I caught up with him about Zachertz, you know, the mentorship, mentee role.
And yeah, you talked about how Zach's experience in the NFL, how he studied Zach for so long and how it was cool to kind of be able to see him up close now.
And you know, learn a couple more of the, learn about the nuances of his game.
instead if there's like one thing you could take from Zach Hertz's game it would be like the feel for zone coverage being able to kind of find the soft spots in zones and understanding like what the defense is trying to do so yeah it was just a quick conversation they have the same agent so I think that they he didn't know Zacherts before but he had really done a lot of work studying Zacherts and it's been cool for him to kind of be able to honestly just like pick his brain constantly it sounds like he's been he's been told like you know take it soak up as much as you can from him so there you go
All right. Time to take our first break. On the other side, we get into the matchup with the Duffman Eagles Rams.

Andy Dalton.
Back on the page of the podcast.
I forgot about that one.
Bobby Jane, Fran.
Let's get into the Rams offense first.
You know, we got the long running history
of McVeigh and Vic.
And Vic just got punched in the mouth
by Ben Johnson.
How was he going to respond?
Was that elder abuse?
take us through it.
The thing is
is that so many of the things
that I can say
about the Rams offense
bombed out and depleted.
Well, it's like
I think so many of the same things
I could say about them,
I would say about
the Bears last week.
So it's a lot of the same issues.
It's a little bit,
it's dressed up a little bit differently,
but extremely multiple
offensive approach,
ability to stretch defenses,
make you cover
every single blade of graph,
isolate defenders, put them in dual conflict, motion, bunches, stacks, formation, variation,
especially when they can run the football and stay on schedule and stay ahead of the sticks.
Like, that's their superpower is the balance that they present for all those different ways.
And without getting too deep into the weeds, again, it's all those same stressors from last week.
It'll all be present in this game.
We've seen this offense enough, though, to like, no, like, all right, this is kind of what we're getting.
Now, that said, is going to be a very different feel from,
week three of last year when these two teams played because at that point they were still like an 1112
personnel offense and it was i believe it was week six was the line last year where they converted
to being like 50 percent literally like 50 percent of the time 13 personnel uh and that's kind of where
they're at 44 percent right now that's what they were the back end of last year uh going through the
playoffs so yeah it's a lot of multiple tight endset do you think in this matchup they will lean a little
bit less against that to bring on whoever the second safety is instead of Cooper de jean
and keep the eagles in nickel or you think this is what they do they're not worried about it i think
that this is what they do yeah that would be that would be my that would be my guess and how do you think
the eagles will if there is no bond handle trotter and jihad playing next to each other uh my guess is
they're just going to have to play it out but both those guys would be out there um you know you
you you but trotter stays the mic that would not they're not
product is the guy that when you flex down into those, you know,
six-man fronts or five-man fronts, depending on the package,
that jihad's the guy that you move down there.
But yeah, I don't think there's any other changes you're going to make.
Yeah.
I asked Vic about that yesterday, like the 13 personnel package
and what makes it such a challenge against them.
And he talked about the versatility that all those guys have
and how that presents a specific challenge.
I also find it funny.
This is not a complaint.
But the Vicks press conference was so, like, terse yesterday.
It was like...
Reading the transcript, I could tell like, oh, he was in a mood yesterday.
Like a lot of one-word answers, a lot of three- or four-word answers.
It was so terse that I don't think the transcript, whoever did it, like, got all the questions.
Because, like, some of them were so quick, you'd miss them.
Yeah. So I went back to find his answer and I couldn't find it because I, he's probably, you know, one of...
Let me, let me see. How many questions are in here?
Come back to me. I'll tell you in a minute.
Get the abgus.
32 questions.
Wow.
32 questions.
And it was like a 13 minute press conference.
Wow.
Another record set probably.
We got 30.
That's not.
And that was just two minutes with Kenny Moore.
Wow.
Okay.
Impressive.
Pressive stuff.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, having Gailin Carter banged up, not ideal.
Obviously, because you're going to be, you're going to be playing even more
base, I don't know. It's a tough matchup for them. It is. We're going to go through some keys to victory. Let's go
the flight playing keys to victory. What do you got as number one? Number one, I think anytime
you're going up against this Rams offense, the number one goal should be to try and heat up Matthew
Staff. And this is something we've talked about the last few years. You go back, you mentioned Jalen Carter,
you go back to his rookie season. He delivers those two big hits on him early in the second half
and that kind of like changes the feel, the look and feel of that passing game. So it's one of the
reasons why Denver was able to come back in that matchup on Sunday night football, anyone that
missed that game. A big part of that was the fact they were to start creating pressure on
Stafford. This is from next-gen stats. Denver pressured Stafford on 59% of his dropbacks in the
second half after just doing so on 23% in the first half. So more than doubled the level of pressure.
Verst pressure in the game, Stafford completed six of 20, 81 yards, four sacks, and a pick six.
when he was kept clean, he was 24 or 35 for 309 yards, two touchdowns in a pick.
So now going back and watching those pressures, a lot of it was speed off the edge.
We know Denver is like a high blitz operation.
Those don't blitz a lot.
They did a little bit of that with Riege Willen last week, but got torched with the blitz.
So is that something that they're necessarily going to do?
I don't know, but you want to find ways to be able to pressure Matthew Stafford.
And with a dinged up Jalen Carter, that becomes more difficult.
Yeah, do you think he's going to blitz more?
do you do some creative things with your pressure package?
And that's always been a flaw for me.
Like looking at this defense is that you don't necessarily always see like,
oh, you know,
are you going to do like creative stuff with multiple pass rushers on the field at once?
Or, you know, are you going to start blitzing the DBs more?
Like, I don't know.
But you have to find ways to pressure.
If you just let him sit back there comfortable,
you're more likely than not going to be in trouble.
A quick note, two quick notes on Carter.
First, my former colleague Jeff McLean reported,
it's a hairline fracture in his wrist.
and the concerning thing is every time that Vic is asked about Jalen Carter,
he always is saying, honestly, he's doing better than I thought he was going to do.
I know.
It's a little worried for that, right.
I mean, I think it speaks to, like, how hobbled he is.
Put him on the bench.
Yeah.
Put him on I are.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
I agree.
You want to have him playing at 70% all season long, or do you want to, you know,
take the hit on the chin for four weeks, five weeks, whatever it is,
and then have him back to, you know, 95%.
I'm telling you, there are, like, five or six clips that I can think of right, like, off the dome without even having to put too much work into it, where I'm like, yeah, I remember Jalen Carter playing with one hand in the game.
Yeah.
Not just this week, like, last week, too, where it's like, and I'm surprised that's not like a clip that's like going around with all the other stuff that's going viral on this team.
That it's like, oh, like, Jalen clearly is just playing with his left hand.
So are there examples on film where you are seeing like what Vic is alluding to where it's, oh, he actually did pretty well, considering he's only got the one hand.
Yeah, because there are plays where.
where he does like, he's able to penetrate and like, you know,
but that's where he's not, it's, you know,
you're not seeing him like just completely bully offensive linemen.
It's like him winning with quickness and, you know,
being present and disrupting.
Yeah.
But, you know, if his Madden rating when he's fully healthy is,
you know, I'm trying to put this for like, you know,
for like layman's terms of his matron rating is like a 97,
I don't know.
He's probably like an 83 right now.
Like, probably something like that.
Like, yeah, it's, he's not his normal self.
And the second.
It's possible that that, that,
because it's wrapped.
The theory is it's not getting worse.
Right.
He can play through it and it will still get better.
Yeah.
Maybe.
Yeah.
I mean,
but then you have to worry about
is there a risk of like compensatory injuries,
you know,
could he hurt the shoulder?
Because he's not using his hands to their full strength.
The second thing I was going to say about Jalen Carter is this week is a big one
for like looking back for Jordan Davis,
you know,
because of the block kick.
But,
you know,
mentioning like the division around playoff game from Carter,
like the contrast is going to be really stark.
if he doesn't have an impact in that game.
So I think it's a big week for him.
You know, he has not necessarily played up.
And this isn't, if he's injured, he's injured, you know.
So it's not saying that this is totally on him.
But, you know, we went into this season talking about this guy has to be like a difference
maker.
They're paying him to be a difference maker.
He hasn't quite been that.
All right.
What do you got as number two?
Tangentially, they got to stop the run.
Yeah.
You know, I mentioned that this offense is at its best when they're able to stay ahead of the
sticks.
You want to keep them behind the sticks as often as possible.
force them into pure dropback situations
that you can accomplish key number one
because it's easier to pressure Matthew Stafford.
I've got some numbers to support this,
but it's easier to pressure Matthew Stafford
when you can keep them behind the sticks.
To me, they don't necessarily have like the skill talent
where if it's third and long like, oh man,
you're really worried.
Like Devante Adams, just Devante Adams.
But we're like, oh, man, you're really concerned.
And from an offensive line standpoint,
I wouldn't necessarily look at them and say like,
oh, man, like, it's a bunch of like pure dancing bears
where you're not going to be able to win those one-on-one.
So you want to be able to force them into those second and very long, third and long situations as often as possible.
So one of the things I kind of looked up there.
Right now, this is a team that is 16th in pressure rate.
Talking about the Rams.
They are 16th in pressure rate allowed, 37.7%.
It climbs by eight percentage points after any play that games zero or fewer yards.
So it jumps down a good amount and they drop down to the bottom third of the league.
Pressure rate climbs even further to 53% when it's third and long.
Again, like if you want to, if you're on the margins here, like, you know, if you're trying to find
ways to like to get after Stafford, keep them behind the sticks, stop the run.
That was an issue for the Eagles last year.
You guys might remember like this was a big mistackle game last year.
Hiron Williams forced, I believe it was 10 mistackles in the game, just on his own.
Let me see if I've got that.
That was, that was an issue for them last year.
Yeah, Kyron forced 10 mistackles against the Eagles in 2025 on 20 carries.
It was the second most in the game for him.
his entire career. So far this year, Kyron Williams and Blake Corum, who's the backup running back
there, they posted a 50% success rate, both guys as individuals. They are both tied for fourth in the
NFL amongst 36 running backs with at least 25 carries in success rate. So I would say when you're
looking at the two of them, Kyron is the more reliable, stay on schedule, forced mistackles.
Corum's got more juice. They're both built similarly, but like all the perimeter stuff is typically
going to quorum and all the downhill stuff by the way they they run duo more than anybody i i just
had rage baited uh he did rage bait me just like send up a video i was like this is how duo looks like
like eagles are running a lot of duo and just the tight ends are winning one-on-one and like i just say it was
a great there was some real butt kicking in that video
carnage it was like right before presser started i was like here go each okay i literally was like
why did you send this to me it's very funny um but yeah it's a it's a good run game and you you got you
You have to stop to be able to stop the run,
earn the rights or get after the quarterback pressure Matthew Stafford.
Okay.
What are you guys?
Key number three.
You got to defend the pass from base defense.
And, you know, I do think that it's beneficial.
This is, as I was started by working on the Rams last week,
I was like, you know what?
It's a good thing to have the bears back to back with the Rams.
And we'll talk about this next with Liam Cohen as well next week with the Jaguars.
It's tough to have that same level of confidence after how Monday night went.
Now, that said,
You know, all the same things I said last week, you know,
they keep your eyes on your luggage, all that stuff.
You know, the Eagles defense has allowed 62.5% completion
attacking the intermediate level.
So between 10 and 19 yards.
The bears carved them up in that area last week.
That's the seventh highest rate in the NFL.
They were the lowest rate in the NFL last season.
So you're talking about like the difference in feel from last year to this year.
That is a big reason.
You're giving up so many of those chunk plays in their intermediate level.
And the Rams major in this.
So this is a big thing that the Eagles are going to have to do.
I kind of went down a rabbit hole, just kind of looking at the 13 personnel stuff yesterday,
just because it's so interesting.
So again, 42% of the snaps, 10% more than any other team in the NFL.
That's where they are living in 13 personnel, 6.3 yards per play from 13 personnel.
Man.
Insane.
Most among any team that's got at least 20 snaps of 13 this year.
Now, here's the rub here from a personnel standpoint.
and like how it could change a little bit.
Terrence Ferguson, who is like their biggest receiver at tight end,
he got dinged up in Sunday night football,
hurt his right ankle early on in the game,
ended up coming out of the game midway through.
The thing is,
is this is not as fragile as the Eagle situation
where, oh, you remove Dallas Goddard,
all right, we got to throw out the whole thing.
They've got like five tight ends on the roster.
Yeah.
And one of them is the guy that was their go-to guy
for a long time in Tyler Higbee.
So Higby is going to just step into the,
to the Terrence Ferguson role.
I feel very, very confident about that.
Now, when's-
That's your Larkhorst player.
What's that?
That's your Larkhorst player.
That's exactly right.
He's the Larkhorpe, because I would imagine that, all right,
Ferguson's out, Higby's in.
It's kind of a blast from the past from that way.
When Ferguson was on the field over the course of the season so far,
it's 58% pass, 42% run.
So, all right, like almost a 60-40 split.
But when he's lined up in line, it's 60% run, 40% pass.
So that's like a little, like, microcosm there into like the balance, right?
Or you don't know.
You're going in and you're like, all right,
he's in the game, we probably lean past,
oh, but he's in line.
Oh, they actually lean run that way.
That's kind of what I've been kind of harping on
with all of these multiple tight end sets
and talking about the Eagles all off season
is that it's not necessarily about like the matchups.
It's about presenting the same like the same level of balance.
The Eagles are going to be in base defense this game.
Like talking about like, oh, like Kubrigine,
is he going to move to safety full time?
He's playing a lot of safety this week.
There's no getting around that.
He's going to be playing a lot of safety in this game
because the Eagles are going to be in their base defense more often than not.
I wonder if given Jalen Carter is injury,
I wonder if there's a base defense where they go three ends,
instead of three tackles.
The idea being you don't really trust Jonathan Grenard in space
because he hasn't done it a lot,
but Nolan and Jalick can both do it.
So maybe one of them is on the outside
and Jonathan Granard can still rush against a tacker.
Like a five technique or something like that.
I wonder who that would be if you would feel comfortable
with it being Nolan or Bernard.
Probably Gernard.
Yeah.
could be i don't know just a thought
i almost think of that like especially if if bond
if bond's a no go yeah
yeah yeah especially like on third down like especially kind of thing
maybe i don't know you goes around the practice field right now
so i'll have a couple updates for you probably hopefully on the other side of the break
uh why don't we close with your next 10 stat and then we'll go to break
okay so um the next 10 stout oh this is this is going
this is ridiculous again like kind of harbid on the uh the 13 personnel stuff
Going back, it was week six of last year.
That was when that philosophical change happened.
The Rams have scored 36 touchdowns out of 13 personnel since week six of last year.
That's 29 more than the next closest team.
The Bears have seven.
36 touchdowns out of 13 personnel.
But this is a good thing to bring it back to where we started.
Yeah.
Because they did not enter last season thinking that was their identity.
1,000%.
Right?
They lucked into it.
They looked at themselves, looked at the personnel they had,
what they were good at, found something,
and then built the identity around that.
That is the job now of the Eagles,
not to figure out 13 personnel,
but to figure out what it is that we do well,
and then build it from there.
And again, it's the idea of, hey, like, who do we want to be?
Isn't necessarily like, oh, we are an 11 personnel office,
hey, we want to consistently get teams into base defense
and we are going to prey on middle of the field defenders.
What is the best way we can do that?
Oh, if we get into, forget 12 personnel,
we get into 13 personnel, that's a guarantee base.
Now we can put it probably on these guys.
Like that's the idea.
Find out who do we want to be,
what is the best route to get to where we want to?
But it's not all just coaching and being able to find it.
There's also like a roster construction element
that plays into that.
Because last year,
I'm sure that they were constantly trying to figure out
what can we major in.
And that's like my only concern.
I'm not really concerned about the Eagles offense.
I feel like they'll be fine.
But if you told me eight weeks from now,
they had to be an 11 team
and they were not set up personnel-wise
to be an 11 team.
They couldn't run consistently out of it
or they just didn't have the drop-back
passing game to accommodate it.
It wouldn't shock me
and I think they have to be an 11 team right now.
I mean, maybe when Goddard's back,
you feel okay about 12 with him and Hertz,
but I don't know that when I think about that Rams example,
I think about the versatility
that they had from a personnel standpoint.
Yeah, but then they also spent the off-season
you know, fortifying that strength.
It is a thing that takes a cycle probably.
Yeah, and last thing I'll say about it, like, I wonder what it looks like in the offseason
because I think the Rams doing this and the Bears doing this, more teams are going to want
those cobblest ends.
It's going to be harder to find those guys.
It's got Nate Borkature going in the second round.
Take our next break on the P.HL Angles podcast.
Come back and talk about the other side of this matchup with the Duffman and EJ.

You know that feeling you get the second you walk out the door?
Did I lock it?
Is the dog eating the couch again?
Has my general manager signed Andy Dalton to be my backup quarterback?
Even worse, has he traded for him and given him money to do it?
Or are my kids six videos deep into something they shouldn't be watching?
That's where Xfinity's Shield comes in.
Think of it as a force-filled for your home built right into your Wi-Fi,
giving you peace of mind for your home, your family, and your life online.

friends at Parks Casino. And here is my question for you, gentlemen. Over the course of the rest
of their careers, who will throw the most regular season passes for the Eagles? Andy Dalton, Tanner
McKee, or Cole Payton? And this is in reference to, you know, yesterday Nick was asked about,
is Andy Dalton still your number two quarterback? Okay. And he said, I've still got faith in all of them.
He wouldn't get into it. But I honestly, I do think this is a funny test. Because if we take them at their
that this was a competition that was so close.
It couldn't be called until practice before week one.
What more information could you need?
If it was that close, if it was that razor thin,
and then Andy Dalton goes into a game
and throws an interception in the red zone,
you would think that that would be like,
okay, now we've got to go with the other guy.
If it was really that close,
we're talking about like you've got all these quizzes
and then the test comes and this guy fails it completely,
of course you would go.
with the other guy if it was that close.
You're right.
And if not,
then they shouldn't have been
splitting reps the whole time.
Yeah,
I also think that next answer
is just very classic Nick.
I think it's probably
still gonna be a new Dalton.
Yeah,
they are,
they are too out on a limb
and too hubristic
about this to admit defeat.
That's how I feel.
Yeah, I agree.
Answering the hand you're dealt,
I have no idea.
I know.
It's really hard.
I mean, it could be zero for them all.
Yeah.
Um,
I'll take 10.
Tanner McKee. I don't feel great about it. If it was the rest of the season, I think it's a
harder question for me to answer. But I think if it's the rest of career, moving forward,
I think it's got to be Cole Payton. I mean, if he makes it on the case. He's got actually
become a number two. Yeah. Well, I think that the idea would be he's not, he's not going to,
he would get zero this year. Yeah. He's got three more years of run. Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
I think the betting favorite is probably Dalton. But I think you can put, you can put some faith in
My scenario is like Tanner McKee gets the job back at some point and is...
Gets a game at the end of the season.
And can remain the Eagles backup quarterback.
I know he's not under contract, but still.
Yeah, maybe that's the long game the Eagles are playing here,
is that they're tanking his value so much.
That they can sign back.
That they can get him back on a cheap deal.
Nobody values this position like we do.
It makes it all worth it.
Yeah, that's a mafia.
That's the explanation for this dumb assery.
Okay.
Let's close the book on The Hand Your Delt,
presented by Parks Cusino,
and let's get into this.
of the matchup, Fran.
Give us the aviator speech for the Rams defense.
Yeah, it's a fast, violent, aggressive sub-package defense.
It features creative pressure packages, exotic looks up front.
It goes along with a very varied, well-discise,
kind of like pattern match, like zone stuff,
but then a lot of like man-to-man stuff this year.
So it's kind of an evolution there on the back end defensively.
But this is a group that, again, they play from an aggressive,
odd front structure.
Like it's a three, four defense, you know, a name.
But this goes back to like the Wade Phillips influence there.
When Sean McVeigh first got there and Chris Schuolo was a defensive assistant.
But they want to live with six defensive backs in the field.
They play more dime than anybody.
They want to get into their dime package and use a variety of stunts and twists from
five and six man fronts to kind of flummox the opposing pass rush or the opposing
pass protection scheme and get after the quarterback.
In the secondary, like I said, historically, it's been like wide variety, like Rolla Dax's
zone coverages.
This year they're playing a lot more man.
A lot of that has to do with the fact that they went out and got Jalen Watson and Trent
McDuffie in free agency.
So they bring those guys in.
So a lot more single coverage there, especially on later downs, more later down man than anybody
in the NFL.
Shout out of Day Niz on that one and his beautifully color-coded spreadsheets.
But this is a fast, aggressive defense at its core.
And a group I just love studying this group.
It's a fun defense.
It's a very funny dichotomy that on offense, they want to go heavier than anybody,
and on defense, they want to be in dime more than anybody.
It's difficult to practice against each other.
Well, the thing is, is that they, we can talk about this,
they play dime to 11 or to, like, multiple tight ends up.
Right.
Early, they don't just wait to third down to throw the dime defense out there.
They'll play it on regular early downs as well.
So it's an interesting.
That's if you've got the horses for it.
It's not too similar to when the Eagles would stay in nickel
because they had Cooper DeGine on the field.
Exactly right.
If you've got the guys who can actually handle that,
then it is better structurally
because you can cover more space.
Yeah, and the thing about it too
is that they don't just have like one dime defense.
There's different variations there
where sometimes it is two defensive ends,
two defensive tackles, six DBSs and one linebacker,
but then you have another one where it's no linebackers on the field.
Aaron Donald comes on.
You have five defensive lines.
and no linebackers in 6dbs.
And sometimes it's three corners.
Sometimes it's two corners and four safeties.
Like it's,
they do a lot of different things there.
Okay.
So if you are reverse engineering that from Neagle's perspective,
what do you want to get them in?
You want to run them out of Dine defense.
Because to me, like the goal should,
if you want to like boil it down for all these things,
all these matchups going in,
how does the other team want to play?
We want to make them not play that way.
Right.
So if this is a team that wants to be in Dime,
well, we have to make them not be in Dime.
So run them out of dime defense.
And it might be easier said than done,
given the issues that the Eagles have had running the football.
You know, Sequin Barclay back in 2024,
ran for 200 yards and two touchdowns in both those games.
You don't need to do that.
It does need to be the legendary performance,
but you got to do something to try and run them out of those looks.
This is the way they want to play.
You need to get them out of their comfort zone,
drag them into the deep end of the pool, that whole deal.
So a big part of that is being able to run the football with authority.
Do we have news from the practice field?
We do.
A couple of injury updates.
you're going to pull him up.
We will give a shout out to Dave Zangaro for the update.
He does a good job keeping attendance, him and Olivia Reiner.
Zango.
No Devante Smith, no Zach Bonn, no Dallas Goddard, no Fred Johnson, and no Hollywood Brown
at the start of practice.
So again, Devante and Zach Bond to me, those are two important names to watch,
and it doesn't look great for either of them.
I will tell you, I heard at the beginning of this week that Devante is likely to miss this game
and maybe another one.
It could be a two or three-week hamstring injury.
Yeah.
Not great.
Yeah, not ideal.
All right.
Well, that brings up to key number two.
This all of a sudden feels a lot different.
Key number two, take advantage of the backup cornerback for the L.A. Rams because Jalen Watson, again.
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Jalen, Watson.
Watson is not playing in this game.
Separated shoulder in the loss to the Denver Broncos.
So now the Broncos did this last week.
They went after, they had two corners that they kind of rotated in there.
Josh Wallace and Emmanuel Forbes.
We know that the Eagles have had a lot of success against Forbes in the past,
but there was a different receiver that was catching a lot of those passes.
So.
Do you think it was a good draft pick?
With Forbes?
Manuel Forbes?
I would say a bad draft pick.
Not to be a dead horse on that one.
Well, yeah, a big part of the comeback last year.
Remember the Eagles were down.
They had like 33 yards of offense in the first half.
Yeah, that first half was.
Terrible game.
in the first half of that game,
then they come roaring back,
big comeback win.
But a big part of that was like,
we're throwing the ball up to AJ Brown.
We're just spamming comeback routes to AJ Brown.
We're just throwing it.
It's just straight ISO ball.
I remember it's like sitting here talking about
with you guys after.
And it's like, yeah,
that was kind of the plan.
And it worked,
but I don't know if it's something
you can necessarily replicate time after time.
And look,
you want to be able to take advantage
of that matchup here in this game.
Josh Wallace,
I think we know that the deal with Emmanuel Forbes.
Josh Wallace is built similarly.
He's kind of like a long,
lean like disruptor.
He wants to get hands on you at the line of scrimmage.
He's very similar to Jalen Watson from a physical standpoint.
He's not great in like man to man when you can get him out in space.
Like you want to make sure you want to try and stress him in space as much as possible.
If you're running a lot of quick game stuff and then you can use his length and get on top of you
and kind of beat you up and take the timing away, that's his bag.
So yeah, you want to try and get him in space as much as possible.
So what do you think the Eagles will do if, if, no, Devante?
You think it's, it's, and they're also in town.
Goddard. So Wix, Lemon,
Darius Cooper. Are they going to try to make Elijah Moore a thing?
It's almost like this is a chance for them to back into
having Darius Cooper on the field as an actual helping blocker.
Yeah. Yep.
But it's got to be the run game at that point.
I like Dantavian Wix as much as anybody,
especially at this table, but you just don't have guys who are going to do
brand second key, which is on the outside.
So now I'm thinking,
basically the way they've used Trent McDuffie is the shadow corner
for this defense. So they go and they trade multiple picks for him
and he shadowed Jalen Waddle last week, shut him down.
He has been matching up, he matched up against Malik Neighbors, shut him down.
That's been his role in this defense.
In this game now, do they say like, all right, we're going to put him on Wix?
Or do they say like we're going to play side?
The first game against San Francisco, they didn't necessarily do as much of like the travel
and like man to man.
Well, they had already done so much traveling the day before.
That was a big travel that their arms retired.
But with McDuffie in this game,
like maybe that means it'll be more like the San Francisco game plan
where there's not like that designated player
that he's going to travel with.
That's interesting.
I wonder how they'll play that.
Because they can't really go,
they can't just go heavy either.
No.
You know that.
It's just, you know, Munt and E.J. and Ertz.
Me?
Yeah.
So what's your key number three?
Yeah.
They have to navigate the pressure fronts.
Man, and this, the run game is going to be super, super important now.
Like, go back to key number one.
Like, if you don't have Devante, like, you have to be able to run the ball in this game.
But navigate the pressure fronts.
Basically, what's going to happen?
And we saw, we talked about this last week going up against Dennis Allen.
You're going to see it again.
And honestly, because of the issues that Dennis Allen gave Jalen Hertz and the Eagles
offense on Monday night football, my guess is you're going to see a lot of this over the next several weeks,
unless the Eagles can solve it.
is five, six, seven guys up in the line of scrimmage
like bodies in terms of, you know,
it's going to be a lot of like smaller, speedy pass rushers
with linebackers and safeties and dbs.
And so a lot of speed, close to the line,
who's rushing, who's dropping?
Are they playing man?
Are they playing zone?
What's how?
Who's got who in protection?
And from a Jalen standpoint,
if the ball's going to come out hot,
if it's going to come out fast,
who's it going to?
And is there going to be a guy dropping into that window?
Because that's one of the things the Rams are pretty,
good at is like understanding like this is where the slant route's coming we're going to drop
somebody into that or into that window um who were me i would be trying to be i would be more
aggressive down the field and something but devante was the guy i would say like yeah you're
throwing the fade to devante and just let him go up and over but that's not lemons game yeah i mean wicks
jaylon's willing to throw those same my guess is is that the la la will feel good about that if
it's mcduffy versus wicks but the further we get into this the more it sounds like
Sounds like, as Kevin every puts it in the chat,
sounds like we're going to get our cheeks clap this.
Are you allowed to say that before?
No, I think we needed nine minutes and ten seconds for that one.
I mean, it's just stuck in this.
Yeah.
Oh, God.
No.
Somebody's going to clip that, Fran.
Well, but truthfully,
yeah.
it sounds more and more
like this is a
coaching week
this is a game on the coaches
yes I agree
right
um
example looking at the other side
not to like you know
overboard but uh
obviously the Rams have been without Pooka
for the last two weeks
he was banged up even in in the
week one game down in Australia
so without him in the lineup
obviously we know they've been leaning into the 13 personnel
but it's like all right well we
How are else
are we're going to create some of these explosives?
So they've got Devante Adams
who has been huge the last two weeks for them
and they're going to feed the ball of Devante
but then the other big one is like,
all right,
like they don't really feel great about these tight ends
but, you know, Ferguson will get a lot of the easy button stuff underneath.
They've used Kyron Williams out of the backfield
on more vertical routes than I've ever seen
Kyron Williams ever in his career.
So it's been wheel routes.
It's been Texas routes.
There was a play late in the game last week
where they basically like spread everybody out.
They came out in heavy personnel.
They went in, it was like two by two, everybody outside.
And they just ran Kyron Williams straight down the field.
And he ran down the seam for a big play against the linebacker.
Or they ice it.
I'm like, that's creativity saying like, all right, like, we don't have the screwdriver.
We don't have the hammer.
Like, all right, get the pliers out.
Like, we're going to push this button.
That's something, Sequan Barclay.
Like, you got to level.
Will Shipley, like, find some of these matchups say, like, all right, we're going to have to get creative here.
To your point, yeah, it is a big.
All right.
All right, we got to get to our last break here on the P.
show why you go's podcast a little bit more on this side of the ball and then we'll get to
swooper sorecasting stay with us see in two minutes you know that moment the one when you wheel-wise

morning from 5 to 11 a.m. at Wawa. That's my Wawa. Back on the VHO. Eagles podcast, Bo, E.J. and
Fran, let's close the book on this side of the matchup. Yep. Your lark horse player.
Quentin Lake, who was phenomenal against the Eagles last year in that week three matchup,
a bunch of PBOs around the ball a ton. He is kind of the skeleton key player for them.
You got paid midseason last year. I honestly, I think they got great value because he is an impact
player for them and he got paid like, I don't know, middle of the market for kind of that hybrid
nickel safety type of profile that he brings. He was their nickel corner last year, but is doing
less of that now because they went and got McDuffie and McDuffie travels inside. So he's doing a little
bit less of that. But when they go into that dying defense, he is the box player. And even though he's like
a smaller DB, man, he is so physical. He's so good playing downhill, playing through contact. He's
phenomenal against the run.
He is like a
Malcolm Jenk,
like a smaller Malcolm Jenkins.
Like that's the way
that Quentin Lake,
that's the,
that's the person
his defense.
He's,
he's awesome.
Quentin Lake is one of my
favorite players
in the league to watch.
So,
yeah,
Quentin Lake,
the player to watch
there on that side.
I mean,
the more and more
are you gush.
It's,
I like Quinton Lake.
It's sounding ugly.
Give us your next 10 stat.
So this is actually
from next gen.
This is a good one.
Rams defense.
They have faced
13 screens.
resulting in 11 catches, just 32 yards, no first downs, 2.5 yards per target.
Oh, geez.
So they live in sub package, a ton of speed on the field, very aggressive, fast flow.
Screens, not a great against this defense.
If the Eagles throw a screen and they don't throw the pump and go, we riot.
Like, it just, it won't.
I already have.
Yeah.
Look, if you're doing it with the idea of like, oh, it's like, said, like,
they can't run three of these and not do the double move in this.
game. Now, at some point, the teams are going to be like, yeah, we're sitting on the double
Yeah, exactly. This defense, I will say, like, Josh Wallace will give up some of those double
moves. Emmanuel Forbes will give up double moves. So going back to, like, the creativity of the coaches,
like that, that's a game where you can pray on those guys. But I just, well, no, I was upset
because I should have, I should have done that for Swooper. That would have been fun. Like,
the Eagles throw a negative screen pass, but I didn't, thankfully. So now I don't have to,
nobody will have to root for it. Unless one of you guys did.
I'm really interested to see what they do.
Yeah.
This is a week where, like,
they could come up with a completely bespoke game plan, right?
Mm-hmm.
Maybe they do go 12, 13 personnel heavy
and then live with Ertz and Munt and E.J. Jenkins on the field.
I don't know.
It goes, like, it's, you know,
because E.J., you put out a lot of stuff yesterday
in preparation for your piece today about, you know,
hey, they're leading the league and 11 personnel,
and, you know, maybe that's not the identity that they wanted to be in.
And I've brought up over the last few weeks the idea of,
Like, if that is who they want to be,
clearly they don't have the personnel in the tight end room for it.
Like, all right, well, then that's when you start doing the 60 line stuff.
And they did that in one play last week.
It was the first and goal during the Andy Dalton drive.
They came out, Markell Bell was the extra offensive line and down the goal line.
He did a fine job on his rep.
Timing wasn't off and, you know, so they got to run through.
Maybe that's the thing.
But that's what I mean.
Like, become a 6-0-L-10.
Like, they got to find some answers.
Figure out what they want to be.
As Jalen said.
Big identity week.
Give us a little preview of what you have on L-P-Hly.com for the die-hearts.
Yeah, I did a couple of notes.
I talked about the thing that I think people would find interesting
is just how much the Eagles run game drops off of a cliff
in the second half of the game,
which is a big part of, it's entangled with everything we talk about.
Like the lack of identity and the staying behind or staying ahead of the sticks,
I think that the run game is central to that.
And I watch back all the clips of it.
it's not like an easy answer.
So that was something I wrote about.
I read about the dynamic between Nick and Jalen in the Bears game
and how we haven't really seen that before,
where Nick and Jalen both so amped up,
and I don't know if that served the team.
And, you know, I wrote about the challenges that Nick is facing this season
in this part of the season where he has to navigate this adversity.
You know, I've heard a lot about, do I need to do this in...
No, you got a couple seconds.
Don't have finished your thought.
I've heard a lot about like, oh, Ben Johnson gives us this.
team so many advantages.
Nick Seargani doesn't do that.
I would argue Nick has never been like an in-game adjustments coach and that's been like
what his strength is.
It's like these moments, getting the team prepared after a tough loss.
Getting up off the mat.
Yeah, navigating adversity.
And he's done a good job when he empowers people around him.
He's struggling at times in 2023 and last season, you know, not doing that.
And we'll talk more about that in Lindsay Time.
Shout to Lindsay.
She had my back there.
Big game on Sunday.
Become a diehard.
Check out the piece.
Starting to sound more and more like you want to get liquored up for it.
You want to get that started.
No better way to do it than the PHLY true fan travel co-branded tailgate,
the best tailgate in the city.
Come hang with some PHLY people, maybe some special guests.
Do it.
Why wouldn't you?
Do it.
Do it Sunday.
Yeah.
That would be fun.
All right.
You ready for Swooper?
as ready as I'll ever be.
Anything else on the matchup that you want to get off your chest?
No, not really.
Okay.
What a horrific start.
Like in terms of our submission rates.
Speak for yourself.
The hit rates.
Speak for yourself.
I'm like to talk about yourself.
Yeah, he did he have two.
Some of us try to submit things that they'll actually hear.
EJ last week.
Yeah, but what are you doing?
What are we doing?
I was going to do the review and then the thing, but okay, go ahead.
What is Swooper, you ask?
What have I come into?
What are they talking about?
Check it out.
Time to start Swooper.
This is a bidding game.
There will be 12 items.
And I blew turkeys in that one, which then affected me the next.
What?
I did get it.
And there you go.
I need help.
Is anyone else as excited as I am?
There's like one item a week where you just sounds so like,
smug and sure of yourself
is going to hit.
Unbelievable
loss for me.
Oh, but I'm feeling good because the vapor is coming off this.
Maybe this is what you need to turn it around in the blooper.
It's a backup.
James.
I don't think you know you don't get to you think it's real.
No, no, no, no, no.
So.
Wouldn't be spooper if I got the order right the entire time.
So good.
Who knew that James Winston would be such a part of our lives?
Last week, E.J., you had four.
You had the carryover of longest field goal in the NFL in history.
It did not happen.
Zach Ertz has at least five catches or 30 receiving yards.
Did not happen.
Zach Ertz has at least as many receiving yards as Colston Loveland did not happen.
And there are more focused shots of Press-Taylor live or old footage than Case Hainham
Turnovers.
Unfortunately, Press-Taylor, nowhere to be found on the broadcast.
Fran had the double doink pooh-poop-patter.
Ertz has at least five catches.
Fan Gio loses despite his team allowing fewer than 17 points.
A kick hits the up right of crossbar.
A touchdown on a fourth down.
A punter kick is blocked, but the ball lands beyond the line of scrimmage.
Marchion of victory is won.
Trayvon Hester is there or a cameraman yells at E.J.,
where he yelled at by a cameraman.
I was not, unfortunately.
Did not hit.
The Eagles forced a turnover.
Did not hit.
McCoy Lemon catches a pass or lateral behind the line of scrimmage
and gains positive yards.
Did not happen.
Eagles win while allowing fewer points
than the number of turkeys
for which this item is sold.
Did not happen.
Zero for you.
I had the Eagles run more successful screenplays
than the Bears.
Did not happen.
Jalen Hertz has a rushing touchdown.
Did happen.
Jalen Hertz sets a new career highs
in both under-sendant completions
and under-center attempts.
Needs eight did not happen.
Eagles convert a first down
on first and 10 happened twice
and a non-quarterback throws a pass
did not happen.
I win.
I am up to two wins on the season.
Fran is at one.
EJ's at zero and Fran has 22 turkeys while EJ and I are up in the 40s
Here we go.
What is that 41? I don't the kids say 41 we have items we've got things to bid on we'll get going the order this week is me
And then Fran and then EJ I will start things off with item number one
McCoy Lemon's longest play from scrimmage goes for more yards than
turkeys for which this item is sold.
McHilemon's longest play from scrimmage
is longer in yards than turkeys for which this item is sold.
I will start the bidding at five.
Fix. Seven.
Ten.
Twelve.
Twelve. Twelve.
Twelve going once.
Twelve. That's a good bid.
Twelve going twice.
Almost an explosive.
That's a good one.
Shats. Exploots.
But frang down to ten turkeys.
Yeah.
19 yards last week,
Rekyll Island.
Yeah, I think there's a good chance you hit that.
I'm hoping the jail will get to the backside dig.
All right.
My turn?
Yes.
The Eagles keep both Puganakuwa and DeVante Adams
under 100 yards receiving in the game.
Now, I just have a number that goes along with this.
Both Pooka Nakua and Devante Adams
have both averaged over 95 yards per game
in their careers against the Eagles.
Nukua averages 99.3.
Devante is at 96.6,
including the playoffs.
Only one active receiver has a higher average
against the Eagles in his career.
Any guesses?
Without having looked?
Do you give me a...
Big name receiver?
Justin Jefferson.
Nope.
Julio Jones.
Active.
I could say active.
Sorry, I'd say active.
It's got to be at least...
D.K. Medcaf.
So, yeah.
So both guys have averaged.
just under 100.
In this game, the Eagles keep both guys
under 100.
I will start the bidding at
two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Five going once.
Five going twice.
Okay.
Don't tell you, Jay.
I don't hate having it for five.
Oh, that's a good one.
Wouldn't have gone to me higher.
All right.
I am up.
My first item?
Jaylix hunt has more than 2.2 bow points.
bow points are going to be defined as quarterback hits plus tackles for loss times 1.2 so tackles for losses are weighted a little bit higher
this is not a real number plus sacks times 2 minus mistackles times 1.5 you understand the waiting process here
jelix hunt has jlix hunt 2.2 bow points bow points okay they're bow points because there's not pressures
involved here.
TFL's count as 1.2.
Zach's count as two.
Mistackles are a minus of
negative of times 1.5.
Yes. Now who's determining miss tackles?
NFL statbook for all these stats.
The NFL...
Oh, sorry.
Not having a misstackles. NFL pro does mistackles.
Next-gen stats.
Okay.
Okay.
This is complicated enough for you?
Last week, my, my dedication to my swoop for entries
was called into question.
So I'm trying to,
Trying to spruce it up a little bit here.
I'm going to start the bidding at three.
Tackles are not included at all.
Tackles not included.
Has to be explosive plays or quarterback hits.
Impacting the game.
Shats.
Explosives.
Three going once.
Three going twice.
Old to E.J.
All right.
I got so many on my advocates.
It's like throwing me off.
Like almost half of it.
It started as almost like.
All right.
Our first professor.
The Eagles receive the second half kickoff
and convert at least one first down
on that first drive.
The Eagles have deferred
and gone three and out to start the half
in all three games so far.
So the Eagles will need to win the coin toss
defer.
They don't need to win the game.
The Rams could win the coin toss
and elect to receive.
But then they've got to get a first down.
They've got to get the opening kick
in the second half and get a first down.
Not on first down.
first down on the drive.
I will start the bidding at one.
Three.
You got it for me.
Three going once.
I'll say four.
Okay.
You got it for four.
Okay.
Four going once, four going twice.
Yep.
Sold.
That would have rather had the bow points one for four of the two, but that's okay.
Okay.
Kickoff.
First down.
Item number five.
From me.
Byron Young has,
at least a half a sack.
Byron Young has at least
a half a sack. Okay. Someone named
Byron Young has at least
half a sack. So you got two
choices here. Could be either Byron Young. That's good.
I'll start the bidding at two. He is their
leading, leading sack header. The
Eagles and Rams have the same amount of sacks. But
I should have done Byron Young out sacks, Byron Young.
Well, that's a 100. Well, I guess it's not.
No, no. They can tie. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
That would have been better.
I'm changing it.
No, you're not allowed to do that.
You can't do that.
That's better.
Lindsay, is he allowed to do that?
No, you're not allowed to do that.
Ridiculous.
That's good.
Put more effort into your entries next week.
And then maybe you won't be running,
you won't run into these issues.
Did you get one from the chat from the Discord?
No, I put a lot of effort and energy into them
with the hopes that you would honor the people in the discord
and let them submit one for me now that my work ethic isn't part of the equation.
Byron Young has at least time.
Go ahead.
Eagles and Rams both.
tied for fourth, I believe,
fourth fewest sacks in the league,
but both are in the top 10 in pressure rate.
According to next gen.
How does that make you feel, Bill?
Two going once.
Three.
Three going once.
Three going twice.
I'll say four.
Why not?
Four going once.
Four going twice.
Five.
Five going once.
Five going twice.
Sold.
DJ.
Byron Young has at least a half a sack.
Okay.
Or to Fran.
Mackay Lemon
records a successful catch.
Now, I did this,
obviously, before the Devante news today.
So,
you know,
the chances of this
have risen exponentially.
Start the being at 10.
And so all of it,
you're just,
successful.
It's like success rate.
Success rate positive.
Success rate positive catch.
Correct.
So success rate,
yes.
So if it's a third and three,
he gets a catch for four.
That's a success rate catch.
12.
Yeah.
13.
14.
I'm out.
Cheers.
14 going once.
14 going twice.
Sold.
So,
obviously I knew I had that item.
Yeah.
So when I saw the item that I went earlier,
I was hoping to freaking up in that one.
No,
I was hoping that that one would go for a lot
so that I could end up with this one
because I think this is an easier one to get.
Yeah.
But there we are.
Okay.
How are you, E.J.?
All right.
My second item.
the Rams field more than 110 tight ends to find here as EJ points on their offensive plays.
Offensive plays so special teams doesn't count.
And I gave you an example.
Well, hold on.
Why did you call it tight ends and not EJ points?
Well, no, I felt like I needed to explain how it worked.
Okay.
Don't question my entries.
I put a lot of energy into these.
Okay.
So as an example, why you're so tired.
Well, exactly.
12 personnel would give you two tight ends on the field, obviously.
Then 15 plays, you multiply 15.
by two, you got 30 points right there.
13 person of, you get 10 plays, it's 30 points,
so on and so forth.
Tight ends can line up other places.
They can line up at fullback.
They can line up out wide.
If they are listed as tight ends on the roster,
that counts.
Are we clear?
No.
No.
How are you not clear?
So it's just basically snaps by tight ends.
Yeah.
Staps by tight ends is a fine way to calculate it.
Okay.
Offensive snaps.
I really want to show your faces right now, but then you can't read this.
Okay.
So it is essentially just how many snaps do their tight ends play in this game?
Yep.
On offense.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
I'll start the bidding at four.
Five.
Six.
Was there any research done into like what the average was for?
Maybe there was.
Maybe there wasn't.
Six going once.
Seven.
Eight.
Nine.
Ten.
11.
11 going once.
11 going twice.
12.
It'd be fitting if the item went for 13.
So I'll say 13.
Okay.
I'll say 14.
Um, 15.
15 going once.
15 going twice.
Sold.
Did you actually look up to points?
I did.
Yeah.
Was that like the average?
It's,
Pretty likely.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think they had $120 last week.
Okay.
Okay.
Over to the professor.
Either Jalen Carter or Jordan Davis
touch the ball while it is in play.
If both of them do it,
this item scores two points.
If they both do it on the same play
or if they both do it separately.
I think he means separately.
Yeah.
And this is an all pay sealed bid auction.
I bidder wins.
All bidders pay their own bid.
If there is a tie, the tied bidders continue as normal auction from that point,
all pay rules still apply.
All pay sealed bid auction.
So that means whatever you bid, you pay no matter what,
but you only win it if you have the highest bid.
Got it.
And we are betting on Jalen Carter or Jordan Davis touches the ball while it is in play.
Obviously, Jordan Davis had the game winning.
Field goal block last year.
Jailen Carter has blocked a couple kicks.
against his team.
Maybe he means the other
Jordan Davis, the singer.
He's going to the shrine bowl on January.
That was just announced today.
Wow.
So you don't pay if you don't win.
You do pay if you don't win.
Oh, okay.
You pay no matter what.
Gotcha.
All right.
You guys all have your bids in your mind?
Yeah.
Yeah, I think I'm ready.
How are we doing it?
Yeah.
Lindsay, do you want to say what Fran bid?
Fran bid where did you send it Fran bid three
brand bid three EJ bid zero I bid five oh Fran loses three turkeys and I get the
item for five I'm done I like the item turkeys that's a good one yeah
this good item wasn't feeling risky today I like to touch the ball because that could
be recovers a fumble yeah that is that all in the quarterback you guys did the
The bat downs.
The bat down, the backdowns, those guys get, yes.
All right.
Now, on to the last round.
I've got 17, EJ's got 13, friends got seven.
Item number nine, Emmanuel Forbes surrenders a touchdown.
Now, this is, of course, fully up to my adjudication.
Emmanuel Forbes surrenders a touchdown.
If he commits pass interference in the end zone on a 40-yard play
and the eagle score a touchdown for the one-yard line,
I might think that that's worth it,
but it'll have to decide that after the fact.
Emmanuel Forbes surrenders a touchdown.
Wait, so it's...
I don't think that that's how this works.
It's betting it one.
I mean, we will play it.
We were going to play it straight, obviously.
It's...
Is that obvious?
Um...
Three.
What if they're playing quarter's coverage
and he busts the coverage
and it's like, oh, like, he clearly should have been over the time.
If it's an assignment thing, we'll ask Sean Say Ed.
Okay, deal.
I like it.
But it could be, you know, a running play and he misses a tackle.
That would count.
Okay.
Three going once.
Three going twice.
I'm going to let you have it.
Really?
DJ.
I think I thought you'd be invested in this one.
He might not have like, I don't know how much.
Yeah, that's the thing.
He might play a decent amount, but what are the chances?
All right.
E.J.
10 turkeys over to France.
Final item.
Jonathan Grenard gets at least a half a sack.
their right tackle, Warren McClendon,
has been performing pretty well in past protection.
Their left tackle, Alaric Jackson,
a little bit up and down,
obviously the pressure rate overall.
It's kind of dicey
because a lot of their pressures
were given up against the Blitz last week,
but I would say their left tackle is pretty getable.
So we'll start the bidding at
three, four.
Four. One once?
Four going twice?
You just got a hard.
sack. Okay. All right. I'm up. Yep. This is my final item and I should have specified you can use
future turkeys on this item. We're going to do a Dutch blind auction for... What does that mean?
Possession of the Duffy driver's seat. Oh yeah. The Toyota pickup truck. Shout out to our friends
of Toyota. Shout out to Toyota. So the Duffy driver's seat.
Duff.
Oh, look at it.
It's like off-roading.
I like that.
The Duffy driver's seat is a prop that you can use on any blind auction, reverse auction, any of Danez's entries that are not conventional auctions.
And you can decide once the price is set, if you'd like to steal the item in question for the price it was settled on.
So you don't get to just steal the item.
You have to pay whatever the price was.
You have to use it before the auction begins.
You can't decide at the end.
now I'm going to use the driver's seat.
Oh, okay.
To just take it.
Like, you just, you recuse yourself from the auction, and then you get to steal it.
One time use only.
Okay.
Why do you sound so confused?
It's just too complicated for you.
I think there's a flaw in the logic of the, the usage of the item, but I'm not going to.
What are you talking about?
What's the flaw?
If it's, if it's the Eagles win the game and we're doing a blind auction, you can say,
I'm using the Duffy driver seat.
out on this one. And I will decide after the fact if I want it. You only decide after the fact that
if you're, if you're going to steal it. If you want, yeah, you want the price. It says in the writing
that you are stealing the item. No, you get to decide if you want to steal it. Yes. But you can only
use it once. Only use it once. So if you decide that you don't want to use the item, that doesn't
matter, you burned it. Yeah, because it's not fair. You could just hoard it all season then.
Right. Definitely driver's seat. Okay. And so there's no item attached to this. This is just for
possession of this thing. Whatever you want to use it. Would you prefer if you use it in secret?
no i just i'd be fine with that that flexibility so there's there's no item that is going to happen
this week this is only for this it's like the month yeah yeah it's like the ring the wringo of power
the johnny month whatever it was okay and you get to take home this nice toyota pickup truck i mean
look at that thing it looks so rugged and the way that this and the way that we're bidding on this is a
reverse no it's a blind auction we're going to send our our bids into lindsay you said reverse dutch
No, I said a Dutch blind auction.
Lindsay, back me up here.
Dutch blind auction and then he said he...
That's just what it's called, isn't it?
No.
The Dutch is when it's the count up and everybody says.
Shout out to Danez for all the different auction formats.
Daynez is absolutely howling right now.
I texted him about this.
He just let you say, yeah, go ahead.
That's exactly what I thought.
Can you flash up the writing again?
Because I did want to think.
I feel like...
Yeah, I do like...
I get a little clarity.
The winner of this item can utilize it to sit out of a blind auction, a reverse auction,
or any other unconventional bidding format, and decide once the price is set,
if they'd like to steal the item in question.
It's very clear.
It's written very clear.
It must be engaged before the start of the auction, and it's a one-time use only.
Okay.
I did a great job explaining this.
It was complicated.
Except for the Dutch blind part, but that's okay.
Well, yeah, you guys, of course, Pedant's Corner over here.
It's more Belgian.
I will start the bidding at four.
Oh, I thought you just said it was a blind thing.
Oh, shit.
Jesus Christ.
Do you want to send our bids to Lindsay?
I mean, that could be very much.
He's setting the price out, but he's actually going to undercount himself.
You can use feature turkeys for this one.
It's a blind auction.
Don't forget.
A Dutch blind option.
Okay.
Lindsay, do you have people's votes or bids?
I have France.
I have Egypt.
Okay.
Fran, what do you got?
Fran said six.
E.J. said nine.
Ooh.
I've got zero.
Oh, you wanted nothing to do with this.
E.J. gets it for nine.
Take it.
And it's down to negative three turkeys for next week.
Love it.
Okay.
How about that?
The Duffy driver's seat remains in the hands of its creator.
As it should be.
As it should be.
It's not going to bounce on that.
Our last item from the professor.
The Eagles win by a margin larger than the item of turkeys for which this item is sold.
This is a second price sealed bid auction.
You are?
Is the Duffy driver's seat does have to wait or could it be eligible for this one?
I don't think it has to wait.
Okay.
Yeah.
Second price sealed bid auction.
High bidder wins pays the second highest bid.
Losers do not pay anything.
If there is a tie, tied bidders continue as normal auction from that point,
second price rules still apply.
The Eagles win by a margin larger than the number of turkeys for which this item is sold.
I will write my number down.
You know what?
If I will defer to you, is the Duffy driver's seat in play here?
Yes.
I'm going to use it.
I like the idea of using it here.
Okay.
Because it makes both of you have to bid.
Otherwise, I get it for free.
Okay.
The Duffy Driver's seat is in play.
What buildup?
The setup was in.
Stress the drama.
All that work class that really paid off.
It really did.
It's a good thing.
Chekhov's gun.
Duffy driver's seat.
Okay.
From 323 to 325.
Okay.
All right.
Well, can you flash that again?
Vince here real quick.
Whoa.
The wording from Dana's.
Bang?
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Wouldn't Fran put.
Fran put eight.
Fran put eight.
I put four.
So Fran can get it for four.
unless E.J. wants to use it.
I'm not going to use it.
But you've used it.
All of that work.
So Fran pays four turkeys
and gets the Eagles have to win by at least five.
Wait. Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, that's item.
All right.
I was trying to make it so that E.J.
Are you happy without that played out?
Mostly.
It was a steep price to get it,
but, you know, I was happy to have it.
That's the thing.
You paid nine turkeys
To make you waste five turkeys
I had more turkeys than you going in
So you know I had some turkey flexibility
I had to fire
I wanted the optionality
I wanted the optionality
That is
Really one of the great
One of the Galaxy Brain moments
I am like the guy like sitting on this break
Welcome to the big
Welcome to the big leagues
All right EJ
has a few items.
He's got the Eagles hold Puka and Devante Adams under 100 yards.
He's got Jalick's Hunt has at least 2.2 bow points.
He's got Byron Young has at least a half a sack.
The Rams have more than 110 combined tight end snaps.
He's got, what is this touchdown one?
The tight end one?
Tight end one.
No, there's another one.
Emmanuel Forbes.
A manual Forbes allows it surrenders a touchdown.
and he spent nine turkeys on the Duffy driver's seat and threw it out the window.
Fran, as Mackay Lemon has at least, his longest play from scrimmage is at least 13 yards,
and the Eagles win by five.
I have, Mackay Lemon records a successful catch.
One of Jordan Davis or Jalen Carter touches the ball in play,
and if they both do it in this game, it's worth two points.
And I have another one that I can't read.
Kick off.
The Eagles received the kickoff to open the second half
and record a first down on their first possession.
And I've got 17 turkeys left.
Franz got four.
EJ is down three.
Wow.
Fireworks.
And super week four.
Good stuff.
Let us know in the comments.
What you think about the Duffy driver's seat?
I mean, it's great.
Look at it.
It was great.
It was great.
Rest and peace, yeah.
Can I ever be?
bring it back?
No.
Why not?
I could bring it back.
Sure. Yeah. You can bring it back.
I mean, maybe it's going to be a fan favorite.
I think it is going to be a fan favorite.
There's no doubt about that.
Thank you, Lindsay, for making it all happen.
Thank you, Fran for the breakdowns.
Thank you, E.J., and most of all, thanks to Kenny Moore.
We've got some super chats.
Oh, we missed the soupies.
Super chats.
Thank you.
Go Birds XTL.
The Eagles will fix Dylan Stewart.
Is that a prospect?
Sure is.
Lindsay, I sent you a screen grab from the draft guide on Dylan Stewart.
Wow.
So, Dylan Stewart, came into the season as a, like, I think he's the 11th player on my board.
He was 10th coming into the year.
I made, you know, a couple adjustments in the last couple weeks.
But basically a blue chip pass rusher, 6'5, 240 pounds, True Jr., down South Carolina.
I comped him to Brian Burns.
he's like a loose like speed rusher.
Kind of a volatile profile where it's like he's kind of done some like boneheaded like celebrations.
And he's gotten kicked out of a couple of games here.
Oh yeah.
Well, here's the thing.
So he had a back injury at the end of last year where it was like, yeah, there's like a really, really bad back injury.
And he played through it but then missed the entire offseason.
Missed the first two games this year against Towson and like Kent States, then came back for conference play.
played on a pitch count the first one,
then came back for Alabama this week,
punched a guy from Alabama,
nearly got thrown out,
didn't get thrown out,
then tried to get,
they tried to substitute him out at one point,
South Carolina,
and he was like, nope,
I'm staying on the field,
and then got, like,
got an argument with coaches on the sideline,
and then they suspended him indefinitely.
So kind of an ugly,
the last few months for Dylan Stewart,
but I don't know if he's like,
I don't know if he's a Vic Fangio,
like,
like playing at the point of attack.
run game stuff.
So yeah.
Get the full report on the diehard draft guy.
Absolutely.
Richard Fitzwell with the Super Chance says no opinion yet on Mannion,
but I can't shake that Siriani is going to prevent this offense from progressing.
Second half looked very different in a bad way than the first ten quarters of this season.
I don't know.
I don't really see why or how Nick would have stepped in in the second half after what was a good first half for the offense turnovers aside.
Yeah, I would also suspect.
It's more likely to me that like Sean Mangon is just getting the hang of like in-game
adjustments than it is that Nick came in and was just like we're ripping all this up.
Yeah.
Especially with again, like that was their best half.
Why would they change that?
Right.
Very generous Super Chad.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So,
who says E.J.
The next time the guys give you a hard time about using insider info, you should remind
them that you predicted Quinyon had added picks to his game when,
In fact, the entire defense removed them from theirs.
I saw Quinnian Mitchell catch the ball multiple times in training camp.
It hasn't happened, but I'm not selling the stock yet.
I'll stick with it.
I'll ride the wave.
Also, we didn't even mention that, like, Bo said he heard something about Devante Smith
earlier in the week and then had an item about Mackay Lemon.
And was up front about what I had heard.
I was upfront about what I heard about Drew Kendall.
Sort of.
What do you mean, sort of?
I literally came on here and said I think Drew Kendall will.
play at left guard.
And that I'd want for four turkeys.
You're welcome.
Or it was you.
You're welcome.
Yeah.
Finally,
another super chat from is that Tim?
TLM.
Oh, TLM.
Do you take front office departures like Roseman and Hallaby to be a bad sign about how
the front office is trending?
Same question reversed the Joe Douglas ascension.
It's a very good question.
It's a good question.
I think I read their departures more as a reflection on the least.
Yes.
Than on the Eagles as an organization.
However, I do think it's possible that their departures has had a negative influence on the current state of the roster and the long-term health of the roster.
I think that's well said.
I do think that their departures weren't necessarily like, oh, I'm jumping off of a sinking ship or anything like that.
No.
Probably more of a reflection.
If I haven't gotten the job, the big job yet, I don't think it's going to happen.
Yep.
Yeah.
So that is how I think about it.
But it's a very good question.
And it is a big picture thing to think about
as you follow this team over the next few years.
Finally, Diggleberg,
we will always remember October 1st
as the day we recognize the birth of something bold,
awesome, and special.
The Duffy Driver's Seat 10-126 to 10-1-26.
You know, maybe it'll come back.
I hope it does.
Now you hope it does.
The way that played out, yeah, that was fantastic.
That was a little fun.
I enjoyed it.
Maybe it'll come back.
I mean, I own the thing now.
Shout out to Toyota.
Shout out Toyota.
Yeah.
Look at this thing.
Look at that thing.
Rugged.
Vintage.
Speaking of high-ranking team officials leaving an organization,
do you guys have any feelings on the Mike Tomlin Minecraft?
I'm not as much of a Minecraft.
I don't know anything about Minecraft.
Yeah.
But that was awesome.
Oh, man.
Amazing.
I was hoping you weren't about to come up here and be like,
how dare he will spend time on this.
There are a lot of people that have like worked that,
you know, have like worked in football that are like, you know,
posting like passive aggressive like stuff about it on social media.
GTF.
Like I got to get out of here with this stuff,
especially some of the other things that coaches, players,
runoff's personnel, like doing their free time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Him spending time with his kids and playing Minecraft over 12 years and like
building out.
It's awesome.
15 years at work.
Yeah, yeah, come on.
Phnomadal.
I showed Francis the video this morning
because he and I play Minecraft together.
Oh, you do? That's amazing.
And he was like, crack.
He was like, oh, we can do that in less than 12 years.
I was like, I don't know about that.
I don't know about that.
That's awesome.
All right.
Good stuff.
Everybody.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for listening.
We will talk to you tomorrow at 2 o'clock, BLG,
and the professor in studio, EJ, with the news from the Eagles facility.
Thank you, Lindsay.
We'll talk to you tomorrow.
And as always, we love you.
Like the man
