ego. So fuck you, Doug Eddings, for making the game about you. And I assure you, sir, nobody is there for you. Ridiculous. I will say, I can't believe that an umpire has that kind of fucking ego. But yet, I shouldn't be surprised that an umpire has that kind of fucking ego, right? Just imagine the audacity of an umpire to somehow think he has control, over something that has zero, there's, there are zero rules against. Show me the rule against my hat being crooked, Doug Edding. Show me the fucking rule that says you can enforce such an arbitrary bullshit, vaguely racist kind of point of view there, right?

Like I, I can't, I mean, I know there's times where you have to watch the color of the glove. You know, there's things like that. but that once again is in the MLB rulebook. Show me in the MLB rulebook where a man cannot wear his hat slightly off to the side because that's some bullshit. You can't.

And I'm like Doug Eddings, have you ever caught a game that Fernando Rodney pitched? Fernando Rodney's hat was damn near backwards. Legend. A legend in the crooked hat game. I mean, a legendary crooked hat, Fernando Rodney for sure, man.

But you know what? kudos to arty more mall for going out there and sticking up for his guys he got tossed and you know what he was about it yeah he went out there and he took he he stood up for his player you you love to see that and honestly i i i have all the respect for that man i really do i've seen him do some crazy ass shit to get thrown out of a fucking baseball game and it's always made me laugh and it's always like he he has a certain pizzazz to his you know getting kicked out uh This particular instance was one of my favorites, considering that he just sat there repeating over and over again. Yeah, grow up.

Grow up. Yeah. Over a fucking hat. Over a fucking hat. Grow up. Grow up. And it's crazy that Doug Eddings then doubled down and tried to say that Hunter Goodman from the Rockies is the one that pointed it out. And then the next day, Hunter Goodman was like, nah, fam.

I didn't say none of that. I would, like, what, what, what, imagine a catcher saying that. Imagine a catcher being like, oh. Oh, by the way, um, check out his cat. You know, like, what the fuck would that even? Yeah. What, what were you? I don't know.

No. And I love, I love seeing the next day, the Cardinal players in the dugout with their hats crooked. I love, there was some of the Rockies that had their hats crooked. Yeah. Yeah. That was a big fuck you to him as far as overstepping his bounds and impacting a baseball game. I mean, in a way, the Rockies are like, kind of like, fuck you for throwing out their manager. You got them fired up and they came back and beat us.

Like, honestly, keep. your goddamn shit out of the game. Like, just don't, don't do something like that that impacts the game of baseball. You know, Tori would raise hell if they did this, like, over like J-Mart, you know, or somebody else in, you know, in our bullpen. And then, hey, if Tori gets rung up, if you get Bannister mad enough, nobody wants that bull coming out of the dog out. Oh, yeah, yeah.

Jeff Bannister will just come out and fight you. He'll just come out and fight you, right? you know, as will the entire bullpen because they are the Latin Kings and they are the Latin kings. I love them. I love them. And they closed it down today. They got, they got themselves a big win in Houston first time since 2012 that they have won a

series in Houston. And that's a crazy stat. Right? I mean, obviously, obviously the American League factor plays into that, not playing them every year. But yeah, that's a crazy stat. Overall, Houston's kind of dominated the series. against the Diamondback.

So it was great to see them get that big win. They get another comeback victory. They continue to lead all of Major League Baseball now with 43 comeback victories. They get their, what is it, 22nd, I believe, win with Erod on the mound. Like a lot of a lot of things, man. Yeah. It was crazy in the way this series played out. Really good to see them, you know, stick it out and get it.

because I mean, we are in the hunt and the teams that were needing to stay in front of, you know, they're winning still. So we just got to keep winning and to stack these series and whatever happens is going to happen. So, you know, kudos to the boys, man. Kudos to the boys. Got a big home run from Nolan Aronado. I mean, the offense still isn't blowing you away. No.

But still, they found a way to take two out of these three games. It's what they do. They win close games. they come back they win and they win when erod is on the mound they're now 22 and seven in his starts this year which is i believe tied for second in major league baseball uh for the most wins or the best percentage and honestly man if if he wouldn't have been in the low to mid 90s going after that sixth inning he probably could have gone out there for seven but at that point tori was like we got you and then our bullpen man our bullpen i mean there was a little there's a

a couple moments today where they were a little shaky, but they didn't break. They bent a little bit. They didn't break. They kept us in it. And man, now we go into a, you know, three games set against the Royals and we just got to keep doing what we do. I know they only put up three runs today, but yeah, I did like the line, the lineup shakeup, right? We had Cotee put back in the two hole. We had Corby and Carroll moved down to, I believe it was for, for fifth hole he was because he was hitting behind aranato was pedromo marti morano aranado and then carol um so again just an intriguing lineup good to see them switching things around hopefully perhaps moving katell back into the two hole will make him more comfortable we'll make him happy uh but unfortunately

katel can't stop hitting people in the head with baseball he hits off his bat he hits the he hits the groundskeeper yeah in the bullpen back at chase field and then today, unfortunately, he hits Prodomo in the head on the base path, which caused not only him to get a contusion, according to the Diamondbacks, but he was also out, which I know that's a rule in baseball. That's nothing. But what a what a way to add insult to injury is you got hit on a line drive hit by Cotel Marte in your head and you're also out, you know.

Yeah. And luckily Perdomo took it like square. in the helmet, I guess, you know, I don't even know how to say luckily, but I mean, like, it did hit him right in the helmet. So it's good to see that he didn't make contact with him unprotected, but it just goes to show the kind of damage that a baseball can do hit off the bat at 100 plus miles per hour. It's still pretty much had him laid out. And he was removed from the game. Yeah, I hate to see that. I mean, it doesn't sound like it's a, I don't think he lost consciousness or anything, which is good.

I'm sure they're going to evaluate him very closely to make sure he's, you know, okay. But, I mean, that's scary, man. And you can see the look at Catelle's face, too. Well, Cattle was over there with them. You could tell it was, you know, that's a lot, man. You never want to see somebody get hurt. And you never want to be the cause of somebody getting hurt, even though it was completely unintentional.

I mean, what do you do? You got a screening line drive. I mean, he had a split second to even move the way he did. Yeah, I feel bad for both of them. I feel bad for Marque that this shit keeps happening to him. You know, like, it's just like life is trying to make him into a villain. It feels like, you know what I mean? Like it's trying to make him into the bad guy.

Yeah. And, you know, obviously, Perdomo, you know, some concern there. Hopefully he doesn't miss time. There's not a lot of games left in this season. And it would suck to see them lose their, you know, on field captain, even, you know, even for a few days. I mean, I kind of feel like he's the heart and soul, man. I think Jerry is the heartbeat of this team, brother.

There's no doubt about it. There's no doubt about it. He's such a huge part on both sides of the ball. And then you see him in the dugout, too, man. He's just like, he's always got his got. All the guys are around him. And he's a big kid out there, man. So, you know, sending all the love.

And hopefully Jerry will be okay because, you know how much we left Jerry Pridomo. Yeah. Oddly enough, the dimebacks were still 04 with the runner. in scoring position today. They did score three runs and won this game. And like I said earlier, Nolan Arnato had that big home run. Big home run for Nolan needed that. He almost had two.

One barely missed. That's his next at bat. But again, good to see him get, you know, get something going. And Corby and Carroll, two for four, they're hitting fifth. And it feels like between this game and the last game, we're starting to see Carol come back, come back to, you know, being online here. Yeah. And also it was really good to see that the pitching staff did what we talked about on the main show on Thursday. They did not let Yordaun Alvarez.

Yeah. Yeah, they gave up a homer today. But, I mean, Yordaun did not have a series against us. He did not have a great series. I was definitely expecting him. I mean, I was kind of upset at times. They weren't walking him or just, you know, that more cautious approach. But ended up working out for them.

said he did get a home run today but for the most part they were able to keep him subdued at bay man that had batty be at batty had saturday night his last at bat against brandon garcia where brandon garcia went down i think three oh and then struck him out on three consecutive pitches that was a hell of oh my god brandon garcia that was who that's how you pitch jordan alvarez man well and you had kevin ginkle striking him out today to any game. So obviously they had a game plan and it worked except in one very big hit that he had. I mean, and sadly, I mean, Erod, if he is giving up runs, it's coming typically out of

home run. He's giving up some bombs. So it is what it is. At least the team was able to bounce back and that, you know, that Yordon bomb didn't end up killing us. And Erod, once again, six innings pitch, three hits, one earned run, two walks, six strikeouts. He's a stud and a dude and a guy and a man. All famous.

He is our ace. Yeah, he's definitely the reason why the diamondbacks sit right now today in a wild card spot. So we'll have to see what the fuck happens with these goddamn Padres. Oh, God. Yeah. Fuck you, Garrett Cole. Thanks for nothing, Gary Cole. That felt that that definitely felt sacrilegious. So, but I mean, it did. It did. But, you know, hey, if they can keep losing and the Diamondbacks can start. winning at the right time. Perhaps we can create some distance. It does feel like we've created some distance from the pack.

We have the Marlins and the Cardinals and all of those guys. I can't believe that Doug Eddings has me fucking, you know, being representing the Cardinals during the last month of a playoff race like this. Yeah, I don't like it either. Yeah. This is, he has me in solidarity with the Cardinals over a hat. Yeah. Oh, you know, right when you think umpires can't piss you off anymore.
