PHNX Arizona Diamondbacks Podcast - POSTGAME: Arenado, Marte & Carroll GO DEEP as D-backs POWER Past Brewers to Even Series
Episode Date: April 30, 2026The Arizona Diamondbacks flipped the script in Milwaukee, bouncing back from a quiet offensive night with a 6-2 win over the Brewers to even the series. Arizona’s bats came alive in a big way, launc...hing three home runs courtesy of Nolan Arenado, Ketel Marte, and Corbin Carroll to power the offense. We break down Eduardo Rodriguez’s sharp (but short) outing, how the bullpen stepped up to completely shut the door, and why this version of the D-backs is so dangerous when the power shows up. Plus, Ildemaro Vargas stays red-hot, extending his MLB-best hitting streak to 25 games, and we make the case for Arizona coming out on top in the Blaze Alexander trade. And down on the farm, Druw Jones delivers a historic performance by hitting for the cycle with the Amarillo Sod Poodles—another exciting sign for the D-backs’ future. 0:00 Turn on those Cactus Lights 🌵💡 3:40 Offense powers D-backs over Brewers 15:20 Is Nolan Arenado back? 18:45 Reexamining the Blaze Alexander trade 24:00 #KingSnakeGate 28:50 Another Ildemaro Vargas apology 31:00 Eduardo Rodriguez's start 36:10 Bullpen = lights out 47:25 Rubber match tomorrow in Milwaukee 58:15 Druw Jones hits for the cycle! in a big 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers,
and we are talking about all of it right now.

I'm not loved to bark.
It's the one and only Damon Dog, aka Damon Farrell on the ones on the Tuesdays tonight.
Damon, Bark, Mark, Mark, to you.
Big win here.
Jerry P. walking a lot.
I know you were ready to make him the MVP just based on how many times he walked in tonight's game.
Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, Derek, all is right in society the second that Perdomo gets back into the lineup.
Have we been playing the best baseball as of lately?
No, we haven't.
But has our captain been playing the entire time?
Also, no.
So I'm going to go ahead and chalk this one up to we're back.
We are back.

Well, it was another night where the Diamondbacks offense really was kind of stuck in just
scoring in one inning, though the Diamondbacks were able to add on some late runs there.
Overall, though, this one was about the power coming back a little bit for this team.
The DeBacks getting three home runs tonight and the pitching staff holding on to a two-run lead.
On a night where, quite frankly, Eduardo Rodriguez did not look like he was going to only give up two-run runs.
This looked like it was going to be another shaky,
outing from a starter. It wasn't perfect. Erod did not go very deep into this one, but he did
limit the damage to just two runs. And the bullpen was incredible tonight, locking things down
for this six to two victory. The Diamondbacks improved to 16 and 13, guaranteeing them a winning
record here for this stretch of March and April, which is still a very impressive feat,
all things considered. You also know what that means. Damon, it's time to send a little don't
walking up the mountain.
Go ahead.
Let's do this.
Yes, as Ernesto said, there's Gerwako Perdomo right there.
And Transonic is absolutely right.
Three upper deck shots tonight for the debacks.
On a night where it was a quiet game for both teams for the majority of the game offensively.
But after falling behind O2, Nolan Arnado and the debacks had a big four run, fourth inning.
that paved the way to this victory.
And then Marte and Corbyn Carroll added back-to-back Jacks late.
That just gave the Diamondbacks a little breathing room
and made you feel a little more comfortable about Paul Seawald coming out into this game.
But the big story here is the offense, obviously, the three home runs are huge for this team.
The most important hit four home runs.
Four home runs, right.
ADC.
ADC, you're right.
For example.
Arnado, Cetal.
I completely forgot about it.
about our, for an ADC solo home run is the one that started off the scoring essentially.
But the biggest hit of tonight was Ilamar Vargas's single there to extend his 25 game hitting streak.
He has a 22 game hit streak now to start the season, which is tied for MLB's third longest streak since 1940.
He surpasses Steve Garvey.
Now before him, he has Joe Tori, who he's currently tied with from the St. Louis Cardinals.
his days then back in 1971.
And then there is Edgar Renteria's 23-game streak
and the Ron LaFour, Ron LaFleur, 30-game streak
back in 1976.
He also has a 22-game hitting streak,
which is the third longest single-season streak
in franchise history,
now surpassing Cotell Marte and Danny Batista
behind Tony Womack's 24-game streak
and Luis Gonzalez's 30-game streak.
But it goes beyond,
on that because now there's a new streak added on by the way he now has tied the diamondbacks franchise
record road hitting streak dating back to september eighth of last season 2025 he is currently on an
18 game road hitting streak tied with junior spivey from 2002 and stephen drew from 2010 and should he get a hit
tomorrow, Vargas will once again have made franchise history by extending the longest
road hitting streak in franchise history. A lot, a lot of hitting streaks. In fact,
the Diamondback sent us just an email entitled Vargas hitting streaks because there's a lot
to cover here overall. He continues to do great things for this team. And I mean, again,
it's just merely about the fact that you have some struggles here offensively,
from the rest of the starting lineup.
And I feel like Vargas is kind of that thing that,
that player that will help other guys kind of get out of it
and get into a rhythm here.
Not necessarily wanting to duplicate or keep up with him or in any way,
but it's just what we've heard about Vargas.
It's what we've heard about him in the clubhouse.
And it's just, you know, kind of the way that he seems to be
the kind of carefree guy that this type of hitting streak is not really,
affecting, you know, like he's just kind of smiling through it and having a good time with it.
Meanwhile, it does feel like it's kind of taken the weight off of some of the other players on this
team. And hopefully what we'll see is contributions starting to pour in. One guy who has been doing it
lately has been Nolan Aronado. He has really been putting it together. And tonight he once again
makes us ask the question, is Nolan Aronado back? Yes. There it goes. Vintage Nolan Aronado.
We might be asking, is so and so back a lot tonight?
Because there's a lot of that going on in tonight's game.
Derek and Damon would never.
Yeah, Derek and Damon would never question if people are back.
But again, there, with Vargas getting on via his first single of the game and extending that hit streak, you had Guriel get on with one out.
So you had two on, one out.
Nolan Arnato hit his fifth home run of the season to give the debacks a four to two lead.
And with the way the bullpen pitch, that was more than enough at that point.
to lock the game down.
This was a three run bomb, 104.3 mile per hour off the back,
and upper deck 411 feet to left center field.
Arnado, he has now reached base 17 times in his last seven games,
and he is hitting 545 over that stretch
with one double, two home runs, six RBI, and five walks.
He went one for three tonight with three RBI and a walk.
Damon, I'll tell you, Arnato is the type of guy
that again, we weren't expecting to get much offensive contributions out of.
But lately, especially even in this game, he has been incredible defensively, right?
He's been everything that we were hoping he would be defensively.
He did make an amazing play and then like a fun little toss over that.
I said it looked like me playing beer pong back in the day.
A little tosser.
A little tosser over to first base.
No, who am I kidding?
I was trash.
And he had plenty of time to make that throw because of how excellent the
grab was there on that grounder. But overall, I mean, again, if the Diamondbacks can have a
a 2024 version of Nolan Arnado. I'm not even going to say like Arnado in a Rockies uniform. I'm
just going to say if we can have that version of him here playing, you know, excellent defense
and contributing at least in a way where, you know, he really can be a threat at the plate at times
and not like he was early in the season, just like an automatic out.
you feel completely different about this lineup.
He looks different.
He looks very confident at the plate.
He's been putting together some great at bats.
He's been walking a lot and taking a lot of pitches.
I mean, his plate discipline is back.
There's just a lot of things that look different.
He honestly at one point just absolutely looked like he was lost out there.
And it's just great to see him figure it out.
You know what I mean?
It's great to see him figured out.
It really is.
You know, Geraldo Perdomo back in the lineup.
and it was great to see him have the classic Heraldo Perdomo game
where, yes, it doesn't look like amazing in the box score,
but three walks.
That's a Geraldo Perdomo game.
That's a night where Perdomo was seeing the strike zone very well
in his return after spraining his ankle or twisting it.
Hopefully it was just twisting and less of an actual sprain.
But, man, I mean, again, just having him at the top of the lineup,
taking that many pitches tonight, seeing that many pitches,
and getting on base three times,
it felt like it had a huge impact overall on this game.
And this is a night where Brewer's starting pitcher,
what's his name, Brandon?
Brandon Sproat had Bob questioning,
or Burt questioning on the broadcast
if the Brewers, in fact, won the Freddie Peralta trade.
This man looked amazing through his first few innings.
But the Diamondback started to get patient.
They started to put some bats together.
and next thing you know, they knock him out of the game fairly early,
and they're able to take this one.
They put up four earn runs there.
They knock him out after four in a third innings pitched,
and they put up a few more runs there late in the ninth inning,
top of the ninth inning with those back-to-back home runs
from Corbyn Carroll and Cotell Marte.
ADC, as Damon mentioned, had his home run in the fourth inning.
That's what kicked off the scoring for the Diamondbacks.
It was his second of the season.
It was the only one that did not reach the upper deck.
It was only 377 feet to center field.
Opposite field, though.
Opposite field, yeah, left center field, for sure.
100.1 mile per hour off the bat.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. continues to at least get some hits and look better at the plate.
Two for four tonight with a run scored.
So you just feel very encouraged that Lourdes is, you know,
starting to put together some multi-hit games here and just again,
looks like Lordus.
Damon and I have discussed it.
I mean, you're going to get these stretches from Lordus
even when he's healthy,
where he has a stretch kind of as bad as he's had here to start the season.
But it's also baseball.
Baseball just is this game that takes so long for you sometimes to figure it out
until it clicks and then suddenly you're back.
So Nolan Aronado suddenly back.
It feels like Lordus is kind of back.
And speaking of back, back to back jacks there in the ninth inning.
by Corby and Carol Catele Marte.
And let's just say,
they hit the hell out of these baseballs.
Catelle Martes went 409 feet,
109.9 miles per hour off the bat.
Yeah.
Don't get in front of that one, kids.
I mean, it literally looked like,
I almost tweeted it and then I was like,
maybe that's in poor taste,
but I was like,
Catelle almost killed somebody
by hitting this baseball.
And thankfully,
no one did get hurt,
but someone seriously could get hurt
by how hard he hit that,
109.9 miles per hour.
It was still like,
Derek,
when it landed,
quote unquote landed,
it was still on like an upward trajectory.
It just so happened that it ran into like a wall.
Right.
I mean,
that's how hard he hit this baseball.
It stopped at that mark.
But if that was,
if there was not a wall impeding it,
yeah,
it would have gone 550 feet.
Yeah,
man.
And again,
and then Corbyn's 106.
point four miles per hour.
Sean in the chat says Corbyn with the identical Homer from that wild card game.
Great pool on that call.
I actually was watching that earlier today and I was listening to Greg Schulte's call.
That exact call on that home run?
Yeah, all of the four home runs from that inning.
I assume we're talking about the game three against the Dodgers.
So I was talking about the one against the Brewers.
Yeah, the wild card.
Yeah, not that old.
Yeah, the Corbyn hit against the Brewers.
but stupid stupid stupid daman i'm sorry no but it's it's funny that you're sitting here getting all
nostalgic about the four home run i was supposed to say i almost started crying watching watching
the video earlier today that was that was long story short well speaking of crying right like this
felt like a game like this almost made you want to cry a little bit made you want to tear up because
it really i mean it really makes you realize how little power we've seen out of this team how
few of times we've seen this Diamondbacks team have a multi home run night like they had tonight.
It was refreshing to see them hit these four home runs. And again, it just makes you feel encouraged
about, you know, everything, right? Like there is, I don't know if there's ever been more of a
we're done, we're back team than this one. I know you and I usually do that at breakneck speeds
anyway, Damon, but it's like, man, they have a night like last night where they got single to death,
they lose 13 to 2
they look lifeless
offensively
defensively they look like they couldn't do anything
to stop the brewers from getting hits
and then here one night removed
and everything's right
in the world you get erod
giving up two earned runs and his outing
you get the bullpen going scoreless
and locking the game down
and you get the diamondbacks not only having that big inning
where they put up the four runs but then adding on
later just to give you those
you know, that insurance runs, those insurance runs, that breathing room to ensure that they don't blow it in the bottom of the night.
Yeah, it was a great night. It really was. It was a great night to be a Diamondbacks fan. I wanted to talk a little bit about Nolan Aronado for a second. I know you already discussed him, but I just, you know, I feel like he just has to provide such a floor of power that if he can just hit like 20 home runs this year, it's such a massive.
addition for the Arizona Diamondbacks team and what they are asking him to do.
And the defense is looking a little bit better as it started looking better at the plate.
But all in all, like I feel like this is kind of the upside of the Tori Lovolo way, if you will, of we're just going to keep trusting the veterans, man.
Yeah.
Half the fan base wants to see him DFAed.
Half the fan base last year wanted Gino cut after a month.
Then Gino all of a sudden has 35 home runs.
at the all-star break.
Like,
sometimes investing in the people in your locker room does end up helping.
And it feels like the Diamondbacks made the right decision in allowing Nolan
Aaronada to work out of that early season slump because he looks pretty damn good these last
few games.
And he is helping this team.
So I just wanted to say, like, I think that as much as, you know, and we will do it as
well, especially me.
Like I think, you know, Derek, you try to, you know, be a little bit more professional
than me, especially now that, you know, Jesse doesn't play a professional foil anymore,
and I'm the crazy off the wall guy.
So I understand that.
But like, it feels like, you know, like we call out when the Diamondbacks are, you know,
believing in a guy too much.
And you're like, it's time to let it go.
It's not working.
But in this circumstance, it feels like this is why they do that because somebody like
no one or an auto can then have a, you know, 10 game stretch where he's hitting almost
500. Well, and I mean, it goes beyond that because in his last 13 games, he's now 19 for 47,
which is for hitting 404 over a 14 game stretch. I said 13, 14 game, including tonight's game.
So it's just a it's it's about him turning things around. I think that the one thing we've
talked about all season long with Arnato is how badly he wanted to turn things around. Sometimes you
can't do that in baseball. Sometimes you can't like be desperate and that's what some of his bad at
bats look like early on. And even like we said, you know, taking back his initial press conference,
when he said on day one, he sent over, you know, video of his at bats to the new hitting coach
and his new staff over here with the Diamondbacks to try to help him get his swing figured out and
everything that's going on, you know, with his struggles kind of figured out. But I, you know,
the early talk also was about Blaze Alexander and that trade, Damon.
And I mean, honestly, now since that initial week of the season,
our guys over at Sports Illustrated covered this,
but Blaze Alexander is hitting 172, 238, 190,
with one extra base hits and 20 strikeouts in 23 games.
And not only that, but he's also struggled defensively too.
He has a minus two fielding run value.
He has minus two outs above average,
which, to be fair, so does Nolan Arnado.
And he has minus two defensive runs saved.
Those are all categories in which Blaze Alexander was excellent at third base last year.
The alternative that we've discussed, and we've discussed it on the show, is having Blaze here.
Now, obviously, we know in this alternate timeline, we have no idea how Blaze Alexander would do if he was still on this team versus him being traded to the Orioles.
We have no way of knowing that until the next Avengers movie comes out.
then maybe we could figure out the Loki timeline thing.
But until then, this is the reality that we live in,
and the reality that we live in is now turning to the point
where Aeronado is looking like a much better option over there.
He's looking better defensively.
He's looking better offensively.
And on top of that, we've criticized this organization
for the fact that Cade Stroud was sent down to the miners,
and Cade Stroud has only allowed one run now
in nine and two-thirds innings pitch for the AAA Reno Aces.
And that is in the PCL, folks.
That is for the AAA
AAA Reno Aases.
He also has 10 strikeouts in the process.
He currently has a 0.93 ERA in the minor leagues this season.
I was a little surprised he didn't get called up today, to be honest with you.
A lot of people were surprised.
I thought Kate Stroud was getting the call up today.
Right.
A lot of people were surprised.
The Diamondbacks decided to send down Andrew Hoffman after the disaster that was game one
and they turned instead to Philip Abner,
a guy who we thought we might see early on due to him being one of
two left-handed options the debacks have for their bullpen.
But a lot of people were curious even as to in that move because Brandon Garcia,
looking at the, you know, high-level stats has a much better ERA,
Damon than Philip Adner.
But the big difference is, is that in, I believe, 12 innings pitched or 12 and
two-thirds innings pitched, Brandon Garcia has already walked 10 batters.
His whip is 1.703, which is not good.
And again, at a major league level, major league level,
matters will absolutely make you pay for walking guys that much, right?
And they're even more patient at a major league level.
Philip Abner, not so good of an ERA.
His ERA is in the fours where Brandon Garcia is in the twos,
but his whip is better.
And Philip Abner just is the kind of a more, I don't know,
his stuff isn't as electric.
It's not going to be strikeouts,
but he just seems like the kind of guy that comes in
and gives you a very calm relief inning,
which is something the Diamondbacks need.
We need to get off the roller coaster rides
as far as our relievers are concerned
and get on to something that's a bit more consistent.
But they are going to continue, Damon,
to try out different options
when it comes to the bullpen.
So I'm not surprised at all
that they went to Philip Abner here first
because I do feel like
in the grand scheme of things,
Brandon Garcia is still a big part of the future of this team.
His stuff is just so good
that you want him to continue to develop
and get those walks down,
before calling him up.
Juan Murillo, who we're going to talk about here,
had that same problem with walks last year,
did not look like he was the pitcher
that he has been this year.
This year he's been lights out.
And a big part of that is controlling those walks,
having control over his pitches,
and being able to command where they go.
But we are going to talk about pitching
in this game here shortly.
That's my goat, by the way.
I know.
Juan Maria.
I mean, he is.
I would die for that, man.
He is the goat.
It's amazing what like one,
what one goal good.
bullpen arm will do to to the psyche of a diamondbacks fan because i watch one guy throw decent
out of the pen and i'm like wow i would fight in his army in a world war right now if if i needed
to like that's all it takes and it's and you just need to do it for 25ish games and i'm i'm sold on
anything you're selling so juan mario you have a lot of power and in in your hands when it comes
Diamondbacks Nation, you know, with great power comes great responsibility.
Scotty Max, Scottie Mack, excuse me, not Max, Scotty Mac.
I don't mean to put any disrespect on your handsome name.
Says Morillo should be closer, Damon.
And I feel like a case is being made for that.
However, I will also say that, you know, right now, Paul Seawald seems to be working out
as long as you don't put them into tie ball games or extra inning games or anything.
like that.
Yeah.
And then you use Murillo tonight in a spot where specifically it was when you're going up
against the two, three, four hitters in the Brewers lineup.
And he mows down those guys.
And it's not like the brewers have the, you know, murderers row of two through four
hitters.
And when it comes to major league baseball teams, they have one of probably the weaker, you know,
arsenals in as far as that's concerned.
But he's the guy you want handling those guys.
It's still the guy you want handling those guys.
And he came in in the seventh inning to do it instead of the eighth inning or the ninth
inning, which I think that's kind of how the Diamondbacks have wanted to deploy AJ
Puck in the past when he's been the best reliever on the team.
You're right.
So I feel like, you know, that's the way that seemingly they want to use Murillo.
And then hopefully when Puck comes back, they have two guys that they can kind of utilize
like that.
And then God willing, we get J-Mart back and maybe he can be the closer again.
But I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch on that one.
Yeah, absolutely.
Well, like I said, we're going to talk about pitching more here on the other
side of this break, but before we go to break, we do have to give our flowers once again to
Ildemar Vargas. Feels like at any point during this hit streak, he could have received every single
king snake. And tonight, he might not have deserved it as much as some of the guys that hit home
runs and drove in more runs. But you know what? When you're on a 25-game heater, you get to be our
king-snake almost every single night. So Ildemar Vargas, Damon, our king-snake. Oh, really? Are you
serious? What, who did you do?
I didn't, I'm not going to lie.
I didn't even look at the rundown.
I did not do ill tomorrow.
What?
Who's hosting this show, Damon?
Oh, it's the Derek show.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's the Derek show.
I'll remember that next time you start crying to me about, about needing my help all
the time.
Who's your king snake?
Who was your king snake?
Nolan Arnato?
Yeah, that's fine.
All right.
Nolan Arnato, one for three, one home run, three RBI, one walk.
but you have a lot of apologizing to do.
I think.
This was the biggest hit of the game.
It wasn't even close.
I think you have double and triple the apologizing to do.
I mean, again,
how am I wrong?
Yeah.
His home run broke open the game.
It changed everything for the team.
We were down.
He hit a home run.
We were up.
We held on to the lead the entire rest of the game.
I would say.
I just don't know how many 25 game hit streaks Nolan Arnato has had.
Truthfully, the, the list of,
King Snakes goes Aeronado, everyone in the bullpen right underneath, and then
probably Catell and Corbin, Carolyn, then I'll DeMaro Vargas, if I'm being honest.
I don't know about that.
I don't know.
Okay.
I'll start a poll.
I'll start a poll.
And we'll, we'll all go, I'll go, uh, Aronado, Vargas, Mario, and, uh, and, and, and, you know,
maybe Catel slash Corbin as King Snake.
And you guys can all vote.
So we can see who, who deserves.
of King's name.
Elmar Vargas currently hitting 376 with 1104 OPS during this entire stretch and it continues
to be incredible and has all of those hit streaks that we said.
But whatever, what do I know?
What do I know?
I know nothing.
Apparently, apparently not, Derek.
I thought you knew something and then.
I don't know.
I thought we had a rundown that we put stuff in and that's the way we did things around
there.
But I guess it's just chaos.
What did you put in there by the numbers?
I guess it's just chaos.
Just curious.
What did you put in there for by the numbers?

I don't give a shit.
about you and your stupid poll.
You're wrong, the people are wrong, everyone's wrong,
don't really care.
Also, we make plans around here on a show for a reason.
That's the reason why we do things,
so that we know what we're talking about.
Well, I thought that we knew Ball, I guess.
I didn't know we were giving out charity Kingsnake Awards.
He's won like half the Kingsnakes over the last two weeks.
Oh, charity, yeah, because what Ildemar Vargas is doing is just,
just something anybody can do.
It's just something anybody can do.
No, but he's setting franchise records every single day,
but it's just a charity case with his two singles tonight.
Tonight, if you gave him King Snake, it would have been a charity case.
As Ernesto says, Blue Pit, Derek, there's the King Snake right there.
What are we talking about?
I love Villamara Vargas and I love apologizing to him on this show.
No, you don't.
You don't love El-Domar, Vorgas, and that is the reason why you have to apologize to him
every single night on this exact program.
So don't tell me you love I'llemarovar Vargis.
I love apologizing to him.
I love apologizing to him.
That's it's provable that it's not.
In fact, go ahead, go ahead, go apologize to Llamar Vargis for everything.
This included.
I think you should wrap this up into there too.
Go ahead.
I apologize for speaking on Ildemar of Argus's name saying that I didn't want to watch
him play baseball all season long.
And you know what?
I was wrong in doing that.
Now, I also want to say that I do not apologize to Derek.
I do not apologize to anybody in the chat who is upset with me, although I do think that
most of the people in the chat are with me.
But I'll tomorrow Vargas, I'm sorry, Derek.
I hate you.
And I don't know if our relationship will ever be the same again after the way that this
went down tonight.
Yeah, don't.
I mean, you're not wrong.
You're not wrong.
I agree.
That's one thing we agree on right there, pal.
We agree on that.
We also could probably agree.
Erod didn't have his best stuff tonight.
But did you, it was going to go,
I thought it was going to be a disaster, right?
Like, we've now been conditioned
for starting pitching to be awful.
And it felt like once Erod was giving up hits there early on
and was allowing entirely too many base rudders,
it felt like this one was going to go sideways on him.
He gave up a run in the first on a Bryce Terang,
or Bryce Trang doubled,
and then he scored on a Jake Bowers double.
So it was like just,
extra base hits being hit right away in the first inning a walk everything looked like it was going to fall apart and then somehow he got everything back on track he put together a few you know a one two three inning in the second gave up a run in the third and then that was it for the most part he locked it down he did he did load the bases i think was it in the fourth or the fifth inning and was able to work out of it though which was which was a huge huge moment in the game like if the diamondbacks gave up runs
in that spot, I think that we could be looking at a different result here, but he was able to
get a couple ground balls after a couple two out walks and loading the bases.
And yeah, so I mean, credit to him for working out of it.
100%.
Wasn't Erod's best night.
But, you know, I think that when you're quote unquote not your best nights and with two runs
on the board against a team with a winning record.
Right.
I think that's a huge W.
You did your job.
Yeah.
And that's night and day difference from Erod in years past that we've seen.
since he's been a diamond back where it's like we when have we gotten these performances where you're
like wow he didn't even look that great and yet he goes you know what is it six innings five
innings and gives you uh you know two runs against uh it's it's i mean it's just a good performance
four and two thirds almost five innings he wanted to stay out there for that yeah you said that he's
mad at torre oh yeah he did he didn't say a word but he gave tory a look like come on man you
kidding me, right? You know, but appreciate Tori being far more proactive than he was last night or
has been all season long, right? This game was very close. You were begging for it. I was begging for it.
I was like, that's what I want is like, yes, go out there and overutilize your staff. I cannot stand
this idea that, you know, Tori does, he does overwork his bullpen. And we're not getting quality
starts from our starting pitching. So it sucks that this is going down.
the way that it's going down.
However,
the nature of this bullpen is ever changing.
And based on the fact that they still don't have like a bullpen filled with lights out guys,
they're going to always have one or two spots for the time being until AJ Puck returns,
until Justin Martinez returns that are going to bring you,
you know,
most likely a new fresh minor league arm,
you know,
every five to seven days,
it feels like,
right?
Well,
and you're good enough right now where,
I mean,
I would imagine the Diamondbacks are probably going to add a,
an arm or two at the deadline.
That too.
Like if you continue to have this kind of record by the trade deadline, you absolutely are
going to go be looking for a couple bullpen upgrades on the market, probably a lefty in particular
so that you don't need to like, you know, pigeonhole AJ puck into that spot and he can be
a little bit more versatile.
So I would also, I would imagine that they're going to target a with a trade like at the deadline.
That's going to be something that they go after.
We don't know what is going to happen ultimately with Brandon Fott.
and Ryan Nelson, nor do we know what the impact those guys are going to have on the bullpen.
Those guys could be the exact arms we're looking for where we need out there.
But ERA tonight, it was weird because, and I discussed this with you, I have this sneaking
suspicion, and this is purely speculative, but I have this sneaking suspicion that part of the
Diamondbacks pitching plan this year has been to throw more changeups and to obviously attack
the zone.
But to attack the zone with pitches like changeups, breaking stuff that are going to
induce, more ground balls, just more outs in that way, right?
And I don't know if that is the case, but in looking at some of the usage,
it feels like everybody's change-up usage is up, and maybe the word is out.
Again, if an idiot like me has figured that out, there's a good chance other Major League
Baseball organizations with their scouts and front offices can also figure this out as well, right?
But Eduardo Rodriguez, his last couple of outings, has kind of abandoned the change-up
which he was using as his primary pitch.
He hasn't abandoned it completely.
He still used it as his secondary pitch tonight,
but he has been going with his four seam far more in his outings.
And his last three outings, his four seam usage,
has been his primary pitch.
Tonight it maxed out at 93.1 miles per hour.
And overall, again, he just was able to land pitches in the zone.
He was able to land his cutter in the zone.
He just really wasn't fooling a lot of batters.
He only got five whiffs total.
Four of them were on the four.
same one was on the cutter and he really wasn't throwing a lot of pitches for strikes he only threw
48 of his 87 pitches for strikes tonight which is down as far as you know his his uh hitting the
strike zone percentage but uh again because of that because of his kind of lack of command or control
uh tory pulled them early at 87 pitches and went to kevin ginkle who again kevin ginkle has
not been perfect but man tonight and in his last few outings
Kevin Ginkle has once again looked like Kevin Ginkle of old,
prompting us to once again ask the question,
is Kevin Ginkle back?
Damon, are we ready to make a declaration on him being back yet?
You know, Derek, last time I was going to bring up this conversation
was on our Sunday watchalong when Kevin Ginkle came into the baseball game.
And I said, I want to have a conversation,
but I want this inning to,
this half inning to be over before I bring up this conversation.
Then Kevin Ginkle gave up a home run.
and I said conversation canceled.
So I don't know if I should really speak on it,
but I'm liking what I'm seeing recently out of them.
And yeah, I mean, that ERA is hovering right in that low four range,
which is a valuable enough reliever.
Like it's not great,
but it's also not what we've come to expect,
I think, the last couple of years out of the bullpen.
So if that's like a guy who's, you know,
your third, fourth best bullpen arm,
I mean, that's really you could be in a lot worse place.
is the Diamondbacks bullpen looked fantastic tonight.
Kevin Ginkle, Juan Murillo, Paul Seawald.
They all looked really, really good.
And it's a weird feeling, man.
I don't know.
It's new territory.
I don't know how to feel when this bullpen goes out there and just shut shit down.
Like it's crazy.
Especially on night like this where it was like just uneventful, right?
Yeah.
You had really uneventful.
One hit allowed by the bullpen after Erod exits the game, right?
That doesn't even seem right.
You had Kevin Ginkle giving up the one hit,
but he still came in and he cleaned things up overall.
And then he screamed after he got his third strikeout.
And Damon got and Damon screamed.
They did.
And then I felt the electricity run through the blood.
And I felt like screaming.
But instead I went downstairs and ate a burrito.
You scream.
I scream.
We all scream for Kevin Gingles.
Kevin Gingles screams.
Yeah, for sure.
But Juan Murillo, one inning pitched.
certified G, bona fide stud.
Like Damon said, brought in, not as the setup man tonight.
They bring Taylor Clark in in the eighth inning.
He also gets an inning of work.
No hits, no walks, one strikeout.
No hits, no walks for Murillo.
But like Damon said, they bring in Juan to take care of the heart of the order.
And you love that move.
One night removed from criticizing the bullpen moves by Tori.
Like we said, here we go.
If the Diamondbacks find a way to win a bun.
bunch of games on this road trip and the bullpen is strong because of it.
Maybe the leaving Andrew Hoffman out there to perish was worthwhile.
Yeah, I was just about to bring that same conversation up there.
It's funny that you did because I, that's what we're,
that's where we were at yesterday in the post game show is like,
yeah,
you were kind of upset.
Tori didn't take out Andrew Hoffman a little bit earlier as well as Merrill,
which and I,
I agreed more with the Merrill side of things last night because I was like,
I think it's clear and obvious.
Merrill didn't have it and you could have kept the game competitive.
But once Andrew Hoffman was in the game, it did feel like the lid had come off and it was over at that point.
And so I was like, let's reserve judgment a little bit and see how the bullpen does in the final two games of this series.
Because if it's largely like a bullpen led victory and ending to the series, I think that that would be honestly W.
Tori.
And so, and I know a lot of people don't like hearing that.
But, well, none of those people are here tonight.
Tonight is.
No, and Albert was too, actually.
Yeah.
Albert was too.
I want to give my guy credit.
Look at my guy,
Albert is being positive as hell.
Let's go.
He's lighten the cactus.
He's lighten the cactus.
That means everything.
It does.
It means everything.
It does.
So shout out to our guy Albert.
No,
no heos should not be named though,
which is shocker.
I know everyone's shocked by that.
But I think, you know,
bullpen looks fantastic tonight.
Large part of the reason that you won.
If they do it again tomorrow,
then it's,
it's Wari Wovolo.
War he will follow once again.
Yeah, no, he who shall not be named,
can't be here when there's wins.
And even if he was here,
he'd still probably try to blame tonight's loss on Tori somehow.
And I don't know how that would work at all.
But Juan Morio, meanwhile, 1.84 ERA this season
and has been by far the DeBak's best reliever.
He's been their best reliever as far as consistency,
being able to count on him,
high leverage innings,
strikeouts power stuff everything looks good looks like not just good looks mean looks damon i shouldn't
say good looks i should say mean mugging the opposition like he leads he leads the team in that
and i need that out of my relievers so thank god we have juan morillo and thank god it's working out for
us just flared nostrils smoke coming out the nose just ready to roll and then yeah ready to fight
ready you go to war and i'm right there with you won his
eighth hold of the season. Taylor Clark gets his sixth hold of the season. He had one inning
pitch and one strikeout, like I said. And then Paul Seawald comes in. Also, one inning pitch,
no hits, no walks, one strikeout of, I don't know, drama-less baseball. It was an unexciting
three innings, and you love to see it because it's always a roller coaster ride with this team. And
again, like Damon said, the Nolan Aronado home run was enough right there for the Diamond
to win the game and beat Milwaukee, but you get in like, you like those last two solo home runs
be added on there and making you, making you feel good overall. The bullpen here, though,
again, the diamondbacks are finding pieces that are working for them. They're going to continue
to sift through. They're going to continue to get pieces back. But overall, I mean, it is starting to
feel like, you know, you don't have to immediately have your stomach churn.
when this team hands this game over to their pen with a close, any kind of close lead, right?
And that's, that's a nice feeling.
I know things have been crazy, right?
I know there's been a lot of bad performances out of the bullpen, like epically bad performance.
Yeah, you have like three horrible blowout losses.
And it's why the Diamondbacks look in their run differential currently looks the way that it does, Derek,
because the team has actually been pretty solid, but you're minus 12 on run differential,
despite being three games over 500.
Minus 12 still.
Yeah, and it's because you have three losses in there that are.
Yeah, what, 17 to 2?
Massive, massive.
Yeah, and so, yeah, 13 to 2 against the Brewers.
You got 17 to 2 against the Braves.
I guess those are the two.
Yeah, those two really, really set.
That's the reason why we have a negative run differential.
But offensively, they've been pretty damn good.
In fact, the Diamondbacks team OPS is,
735 currently, Damon, which is the seventh best team OPS.
That's kind of crazy.
It doesn't really feel like it.
It doesn't.
I guess that goes to show the ceiling that this offense truly has.
When you're sitting there and you're feeling like the things aren't even going that great,
and you still have the seventh best team OPS in baseball.
And Corbyn Carroll, you know, has been fantastic, but it has slowed down a little bit recently.
Kattel hasn't been himself this season.
And Jerry, obviously, has been.
you know, pretty cold as well.
Like, yeah, that's wild, dude.
Right.
I mean, this team has potential to be.
That's Jose Fernandez doing it.
That's Ildemarovar Vargis doing it.
Like, that is, that is who was giving you that team OPS right now.
I'll Amarro Vargas still has an over 1,000 OPS.
Yeah.
It's wild.
I know.
It's crazy.
Crazy stuff.
Good, good question here in the chat from Ernesto.
What's Mordillo's nickname moving forward?
we need that.
Jason is suggesting gasoline, which me gusto.
Dammeas gasoline.
Dammeas gasoline.
We'll figure something out.
We'll have to get something ironed out for him for sure.
But we're going to take a quick break on the other side of this break.
We're going to talk about the numbers that I forgot to put in the rundown.
As David mentioned earlier, we'll do that on the other side of this break.
I put them in there.
Don't worry about it.
Don't you go anywhere.
We're still fighting.
And this is the PHNX Diamondback show.
Well, I do wish that the husband and wife law team handled divorces because if so,
Damon and I would have already been split.
I would have called Mark weeks ago.
Oh, man, we would have.
And you would have called the Lexis and we would have had equally great representation.
I would have custody over Jesse Jr.
But the husband and wife law team are not divorce lawyers.
They are here to help you if you ever experience an accident or serious injury.
The lawyer you hired does matter.
Mark Alexis Breyer are the husband and wife law team.
Phoenix is their home and they are here to help the citizens of Phoenix.
After a serious injury, you want to hire an attorney that's focused on your best outcome,
not how much money the firm makes.
That's the husband and wife law team.
They bring hundreds of years of combined trial experience with multiple certified specialists
in personal injury and wrongful death.
And in Arizona, that's important because the state bar has certified less than 1% of all lawyers
as specialists in injury and wrongful death litigation, making them experts.
They're also experts when it comes to going through.
to trial for their clients.
They know what needs to be done to prevail in front of a jury and can help you make the best
decisions when it comes to your case.
Of course, they cannot guarantee the outcome of any case, but they can make promises to you
as their client, including that you can cancel your fee agreement with them at any time for any
reason, that you will receive as much in your pocket as they receive in their fee, even if they
have to reduce their attorney fees to do so.
And you may speak with one of their lawyers as often as you choose about anything you want
to discuss, including.
who deserves King Snake Moore,
Ildemar Vargas, or Nolan Arna.
So if you've had a serious injury,
call the husband and wife law team first at 602-783-884-1
or visit their website at the link in our show notes
and tell them Ph.NX sent you.
They so would say Nolan Arna.
Oh, my God.

Well, this was a fun one to take a look at the numbers from Damon.
Let's take a look here at the numbers from tonight's game.
The Diamondbacks win this one by a score of 6 to 2.
Both teams had four extra base hits, but the debacks, theirs were home runs.
So advantage debacks.
They were two for five with runners in scoring position.
Meanwhile, the Brewers won for 10.
Lots of opportunities, not a lot of conversions there.
And like Damon said earlier, a lot of that is credited to Eduardo Rodriguez,
who was able to get himself out of some jams.
And overall, keep this a two-run game total as far as his pitching side of things is concerned.
The Brewers had 45.8% of their hits were hard hit.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks just had 33.3% of the balls that they got the bat on
be hit for hard hit balls.
expected batting average for the debacks was two-fifty-two to the brewers 198,
and the debacks were very good on ABS challenges tonight going two for two.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Brewers were 0 for two,
including William Contreras not being able to get the one that he wanted in late
because the brewers were already out of challenges.
But again, the big difference here tonight and the big thing that felt good about this win
is the Diamondbacks getting those four home runs.
obviously.
The long ball has been something hard to come by for this team and has not been a necessity
for them to score runs.
However, it feels like a big missing ingredient here when it comes to the offense.
They've been getting their, you know, homers and long balls and power here or there,
but it really does feel like, you know, overall this hopefully can lead to something,
hopefully lead some of these guys getting back on.
track. I think the biggest thing from tonight's game was it was just nice to see Corby and Carroll
kind of quietly have himself a big game after struggling at the plate recently. So again,
Carol is the kind of guy that you don't necessarily need to worry about. But when you look at
what the offense has been doing lately, Carol has been kind of one of the guys that has fallen off
a bit. And again, they've been just not receiving consistent, inconsistent contribution.
from that top portion of the lineup.
Tonight they did.
Tonight they got contributions from Pardomo,
who had those three walks.
Cotell Marte was two for five with the solo home run.
Carol also two for five with his solo home run.
Three strikeouts, though, for Corbyn.
So again, some things still not right.
And maybe he's still experiencing perhaps a little bit of soreness
or, you know, pain from that hip flexor injury
that also kind of crept up to his lower back.
But hey, it doesn't matter.
God didn't have a back problem when he hit that bomb tonight in the ninth inning.
So good for this team, good win.
And once again, they have a chance to win another series and keep it to just the two series losses this year to the Dodgers and the Chicago White Sucks.
Meanwhile, speaking of the Dodgers, they just lost their series to the Miami Marlins.
and they have been struggling offensively.
They struggled mightily in that series.
And again, you just kind of feel like, you know, maybe, just maybe we're finally starting to see the Dodgers,
even though they still have one of the best records in all the Major League Baseball,
and they still have the best team OPS in all the Major League Baseball.
Maybe you're starting to finally see that team, you know, come back down to Earth a little bit
and perhaps show that they are not invincible, right?
But Scotty Mac says,
snakes guaranteed to finish above 500 at the end of the month.
And yeah, I think before we move on,
that's probably the most important thing about tonight's win.
None of it, like being one game below 500,
being right at 500, all of that wasn't going to have a big impact
on the rest of the season.
But you just feel like when we all took a look at the schedule
to start the year, we were given Major League Baseball the finger for how tough it was for the
Diamondbacks. A lot has changed. Like I've said, I brought up the fact that several of those teams
that we had on our schedule in April suddenly aren't as good as we expected them to be, including the Phillies
and the Mets. However, the Diamondbacks can only control what's in front of them and they have done a
great job this year of winning series, winning games, finding a way to grind a lot of situations out
and now sit here at the end of the month
with a 16 game record.
But 16 win record, I should say.
But again, you know, it's more just about keeping it as close
to 500 or above 500 below of 500 as possible
until this entire laundry list of players returns, right?
Now we have Gabby Moreno returning for the Chicago Cubs series,
hopefully he can be right.
Hopefully his bat can be right,
and he can be the Gabby Moreno that we once had on this team from
2003.
That was very productive offensively.
And more importantly,
just a solid defender behind the plate.
Like I feel like we haven't seen Gabby gunning guys down
like we did that season in a very long time.
So it would just be great to get Gabby back at 100%.
Beyond that, we have, again,
Jordan Lawler, Payman Smith,
Carlos Santana,
all of the pitching arms to still come back.
AJ Puck should arrive here in about a month.
You have Corbyn Burns after that, about a month after that.
And then, you know, we can really start talking about
whether this team is looking like a contender of any kind,
which is crazy to say, but could be a true possibility
once we arrive to that point.
However, again, we have to get through a lot of baseball
before we can even start talking about that.
We have a lot of players to get to.
back. In the meantime, these guys that have been holding it down have done an excellent job.
And I guess the best part of it is the Diamondbacks are figuring out through necessity,
through a lack of options, who they can really count on this season.
Turns out there's a lot of guys, especially in the bullpen that they can count on.
And Juan Murillo, Taylor Clark, those guys are becoming just your regular, everyday,
reliable, you know, bullpen arms that we've been searching for for so long.
So we'll see how things continue to evolve.
And hopefully this winning record after April can turn into a much bigger winning record
with some of the series and games ahead of this team in the month of May.
Like I said, depending on how the Rockies and the Giants are playing,
the D-backs could either feast during the middle of this month
when they play those teams a whole bunch,
or things could be very bad.
Like Damon said, it could be a definitive portion of their season
that tells whether or not they are truly a playoff team.
We're going to take a quick break.
On the other side of this break,
we have to talk about a big achievement
from tonight's Sod Poodle's game.
We are going to do that on the other side of this break.
Don't you go anywhere?

we can all use our help, some help with our bills during those summer months.
So APS has several ways that they can help us do exactly that.
APS customers can check their monthly plan comparison section on their energy bill every single month to see which rate plan could have saved them the most money for that month.
It can also confirm for you if you are, in fact, on the best rate plan for your situation.
Rate plan options can help you save money, and they're all right there in the blue type on your,
latest energy bill.
Plus APS also has budget billing options where you can average out your bill
throughout the year so that you don't have to worry about experiencing those high spikes
during the summer months.
Or if you live up north, those high spikes during the winter months.
Either way, find all of your options to manage your bill at APS.com slash let's talk.
And speaking of let's talk, speaking of having arguments about who's the king snake,
make sure to join me and Damon where we can further this discussion in person for our

Derek, I'm going to go ahead and end our poll here.
Final results from the poll.
Who deserved King Snake?
Nolan Aronado, 50%, the bullpen, 25%, Vargas, 22%.
Yeah, you guys are frauds.
You're all frauds and you specifically are the biggest fraud.
Well, somebody who we have called a fraud a lot that does not deserve that fraud moniker might be Drew Jones, Damon, because as you know, as I know, Drew Jones, who just recently was called up to the Amarillo Sod Poodles,
tonight hit his first double a home run as part of a cycle.
That's right.
Drew Jones hit for the cycle tonight and cannot say enough about how exciting that is.
A funny part about that cycle.
The ball was hit out to the outfield there where nobody but a small child,
a little girl ran over and picked up the ball without having to go.
compete with anybody for it.
And Damon had a good point.
That ball, that could be a very special ball.
That's a pretty sick ball.
I mean, for real, right?
Like, not only is that Drew Jones's first double A home run ball, but that's the ball that
secured a, that is the ball that secured the cycle.
That home run hit.
So really good.
But it was also like the way in which that it went down of like the little girl just like ran
over to it, just lying still on the ground.
Yeah, there's nobody.
around at all.
Like that's a cool ball to like just kind of stumble across as like a six year old girl.
Yeah.
And you're it's just yeah.
That's it.
There's a little bit of history behind that.
And if Drew Jones ends up being good like that'll be a really, really cool.
I think memory to have.
But hopefully they cherish it properly for sure for hopefully it's not just, you know.
Yeah.
Being.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
That's going to end up in the bottom of a toy chest that nobody's going to remember what that ball was.
Yeah.
What was this ball from?
I don't remember.
Was this from the fanfare?
Was this from the fanfare?
Whatever.
Catch it max.
Drew Jones, four for five, four for five tonight, three RBI, three runs scored.
And part of a big 10 to two victory for our sod poodles.
So again, you know, baseball is such a ridiculous sport.
I was saying this to Damon earlier, but there's no other game where essentially you could be
down like seven to nothing and then a comeback is reasonable right like that's not happening in
soccer slash football at all you're never that you're never doing that they're not going to attack
anymore they're just going to drop all their guys back into defense if they're up seven to
nothing and you won't score anything uh there's also the idea here that if you compare it to like a
football game or like like in like in basketball this would be like a you know uh the the game they
came back from the other game would have been like a 70 to 20 lead and suddenly the diamondbacks
are back in the game. So baseball's silly and at times players like Drew Jones can look like they're
an absolute bust. They can look like they are never going to be a major leaguer and they can
look like the worst baseball player ever then suddenly start putting it together. You know,
what were you saying? You said they can look like the worst baseball player ever. I mean,
Did he not look like the worst baseball player at ever one point?
Like his batty, his average, his numbers, everything was terrible.
His strikeout numbers were terrible.
Like he truly looked like a bust.
But again, it's baseball.
And it's just so weird how with time and development.
I mean, he's just 22 years old.
I think that's as simple as that.
Like he like the linear development is not linear.
Sometimes people get better at different portions of their career.
But, you know, a guy that was hitting 250,
in Hillsborough at 21 years old is not a finished product.
Not despite the fact that some 21-year-olds make impacts at the major league level.
That doesn't mean that he's done.
He has a high ceiling.
I think that we've seen him, you know, towards the end of seasons,
always feel like he starts putting it together a little bit where it's like he has these horrible starts to the year
where you're like, Drew Jones is, like you said, the worst player ever.
And then he goes on a two and a half month stretch where he hits for 300, he hits 300 right at the end of the year.
you're like, I'm buying in again.
Yeah.
Well, give me Drew Jones stock.
So it hasn't been a great start to the season for him in Amarillo, Derek.
18 games, 185 average, 215 slug, 532 OPS.
He's got to pick it up.
Sure.
But he consistently starts seasons really slow.
And maybe this is the game that he needed to start, you know, finally hitting a little bit better, building some momentum.
I'm with you on that.
And again, it's.
It's just baseball, man.
You're hitting under 200,
and then all of a sudden you come out tonight
and you hit for the cycle.
So I still think that he has a lot that he could offer
just based on his athleticism.
It's very much like Jordan Lawler, right?
And Lawler, we still have not seen enough
of at a major league level to consider him
to be like a complete turnaround yet.
However, before he got hurt,
it was very much looking like Lawler had gone
from being a guy.
who, you know, was useless at the plate last season to absolutely being productive and a threat
this season.
So, yeah.
There's no doubt about it.
And that's the, like, he's like linear is not, or development is not linear.
I did it again.
Development is not linear.
Exhibit A.
Right.
You know, he didn't just show up and just was the guy.
It kind of needed to click for him a little bit.
And it felt like it really was at the start of this year.
So hopefully Jordan Lawler can get back and, you know, can start playing some good baseball for
this team pretty soon. Our guy Matthew in the chat says, I'm going to the game tomorrow. I'll be pissed
if they sit perdomo because Tori doesn't want to play them two days in a row. I'll make some phone
calls and ensure Perdomo's in there. Let me tell you it because that's unacceptable to me. He already
had his time off anyway. He already sprained his ankle and his back. I also would not be happy with
David would be furious. As Scottie Mac says, we need our best damn lineup tomorrow to punch the
series. I think it's, you know, it sounds stupid and yeah, it's April. So ultimately it doesn't really
matter but like it's game 30 it would feel it would feel good to be 17 and 13 after 30 games yeah through
april going into may it feels a lot different than i think being you know even 16 and 14 yeah i really
do think that if like that sounds different to me so let's finish it out strong let's get 17 and 13
tomorrow yeah uh grand honama making a great point that i missed uh when we were talking about drew
jones she said what kind of success were you having a 20 do what what were the expectations of you
I think the only expectations there were of me at 22
was to stay alive.
That was it.
It was stay alive and stay out of jail, basically.
That's it.
It was a very low bar to clear.
And in some instances,
I was in danger of not clearing it, to be fair.
So, yeah, you're right.
That just means you lived.
Huh?
That just means you lived.
I mean, it means I lived.
I didn't live.
I survived, Damon.
I survived.
That's living to me, brother.
Well, I'll tell you, the Diamondbacks, they are living, they are staying hot.
Hopefully they can close this series out with another series win and keep it to just those two series losses here in this first March slash April stretch before they get into May where things do get a bit easier.
But now saying that, of course, things aren't going to be easy.
Nothing's easy for this team.
100%. This team definitely feels like they have a little bit of like when you don't believe in them.
that's when you should.
When you do believe in them,
that's really when you shouldn't.
Because I'm,
I'll be like,
I'm back.
Yeah.
Guess what?
It means I'm out tomorrow.
We need you to be out on this team,
yeah,
on every sign.
We need you to be out on this team
for like a hundred more games,
but.
Sorry again,
I'll be tomorrow of Argus.
I know some people weren't happy
with my apology earlier.
I think I was a little bit jaded by,
you know,
fighting with Derek,
which, you know,
we'll do some more of after we go off air,
but,
uh,
physically,
physically fighting when we go off air.
I'm going to throw a chair
might throw one on on the on the close out of the show on the outro remember kids it's so much more fun when your producer is dead
well ernesto reminds us that michael saroka is on the mound tomorrow uh randy johnson slash kurt chilling
depending on what side of the debate you're on when it comes to that but hopefully the debacks can
get things done with michael saroka on the mound so again we thank you guys so much for being here we appreciate your
time. We'll be back tomorrow with another postgame show, so make sure to join us for that.
In the meantime, you can follow us on social media. I am at cap underscore Kband with a K.
