Hello and welcome to the PHNX D-BACs podcast right here on PHNX.
My name is Derek Montia, occasionally known as the mayor of PHNX, and I am pleased to tell you that this show is brought to you by the good folks over at the Draft King's Sportsbook app.
Go download the Draft King Sportsbook app now.
Use our code of PHNX and simply for betting $5 on any NFL game, you will get
$200 in free bets as long as that team that you bet on wins.
And again, I don't need to tell you much about odds,
but I think the Cardinals are a pretty big favorite this weekend.
So if you want a local Arizona team to bet on,
I've just taken care of that portion for you.
Thank you guys again so much for joining us.
Of course, I'm joined by my vice mayor, my friend, my co-host,
it's Jesse Friedman.
Derek, can you tell the Dodgers to stop hitting?
My gosh.
It's stupid.
It was 2-0 like 10 seconds ago.
I know, I know.
I was listening to the radio.
I was listening to the radio like a few minutes ago,
and I hear it's 2-0-0-Braves.
And deep down, I know, Derek,
when there's good news coming out of a game involving the Dodgers,
don't believe it.
Don't believe it until the game is over.
Yesterday, things turned out well, right?
The Braves really stomped their feet on the Dodgers.
That was fun.
But today is another battle,
and Max Fried is not pitching real well for Atlanta.
and a bullpen day for the Dodgers means there's going to be a lot of different arms coming at the Braves throughout this game.
And frankly, that's usually not good news for the opponent because we've seen this Dodger bullpen and it does serious damage.
So here we go.
Yeah, that's the big thing is that right now this Dodgers bullpen is very, very good.
And all the talk about, you know, them utilizing guys, it affects mostly their starters, right?
their bullpen actually has kind of had plenty of rest.
And yes, they've had another bullpen game in this,
but I think that they're ready to go.
I think that this is another case of what we said yesterday,
which is no matter how much the Dodgers are actually down,
they don't believe that they're going to lose.
Their fans don't believe that they're going to lose.
And I think that's such a big part of it.
Tori Lavolo talked about this a bit at the end of the season.
You know, he talked about the difference in that belief, right?
Like when you come in and you're hoping that you're going to win a game,
but you're thinking negatively.
You're like, yeah, man, we really suck or whatever, right?
There's just a different mindset for a team like the Dodgers who come into every game
with the mindset that they are going to win that game, even down 3-1 in a series like this.
It's human nature to do what.
what Diamondbacks players probably did throughout the year.
I mean, nobody's going to admit that they showed up to the ballpark expecting to lose,
but it's just kind of human nature, right?
I mean, you get to a point where you just catch a rhythm of defeat over and over and over again.
And you kind of, you kind of adopted as your identity.
In some ways, it's sort of unavoidable.
And you're absolutely right, Derek.
The Dodgers have the opposite thing happening where they are just not very familiar with losing baseball games, right?
like they go into these games expecting to win.
And that's not to say that over the last several years,
the Dodgers haven't had, you know,
their bumps and bruises throughout the postseason.
They've been far from a perfect team in the playoffs.
They've had a lot of opportunities in the playoffs over the last decade.
And they only have, you know, the one world series to show for it at this point,
which I actually want to ask you about that, Derek,
because at least as of right now, right, it stands,
I'm not going to say it's going to happen,
but it is a very distinct possibility that the Dodgers come out of this postseason without a ring.
Maybe, you know, hopefully it's the Atlanta Braves right now finishing them off.
You know, maybe it takes another game or two in this series,
but hopefully the Braves are able to finish them off right here.
But I'm curious, Derek, what is your perspective on the Dodgers World Series last year?
It was a shortened season.
The playoffs were expanded.
It was a bizarre year in many, many ways.
do you view the 2020 world series, which is the only world series that the Dodgers have for quite some time, over 30 years, I believe.
Do you view that world series with some sort of an asterisk, given that it was such a bizarre season than it was?
I don't.
But I also don't do a lot of things with an asterisk.
I understand.
I get what you're saying and when you're coming from with this.
the typical season has not only the success of being good consistently throughout 162 games,
but it also has with it the fact that then you have to still manage that into the playoffs
and compete against the best, right?
It's not a very long playoff,
but it is against the best teams that manage to also last that long.
By that point, you've all had your issues.
you've all had your injuries, you've all had your ups and downs.
When we talk about things like, let's say the Milwaukee Brewers,
that is a team that early on looked very, very good,
almost at one point somewhat unbeatable
with how strong their pitching staff was and how strong their offense was.
Then they trade for someone like Eduardo Escobar,
and they start just adding key pieces that are only going to make their team better,
and they still didn't have that ability to last,
to last the marathon that is,
not only the regular season, but get into the regular season, right?
The Cardinals came right up on them at the end, and, you know, they kind of got bounced
pretty quickly from the playoffs by this Atlanta Braves team that is proving to be better,
I think, than a lot of us gave them credit for, especially in this series against the Dodgers.
I just, I think about like Madison Bumgarner's, you know, no hitter this season.
Yeah, it was a no hitter.
It was.
Do I put an asterisk next to that?
No, I don't.
And the reason why is because there wasn't some sort of weird circumstance that ended that.
It was a rule that they made about double headers this season.
And to be frank, he did what he would need to do in order to be credited with a no-hitter.
He pitched the entire game and didn't give up a hit, right?
Right.
There were other double-headers played this season.
There weren't other pitchers that got these faux.
no hitters or these half no hitters or these no hitters with an asterisk,
whatever people want to call it.
It's a no hitter.
A game occurred.
They had set a number of innings that it was going to be played out and that starting
pitcher through a no hitter.
I will acknowledge everything everybody says about how the eighth and the ninth
innings are the most difficult innings to make it through in a no hitter.
And how many no hit bids have been ended in those two innings.
I completely acknowledge that.
It still doesn't for me change that that was a no hitter.
The game ended.
He didn't give up a hit.
It's a no hitter.
The Dodgers won a World Series during a season that was all over the place, right?
Every team experienced the same crazy start, stop, start again, stop, start again kind of situation
with when they were going to finally start that season, get through it, play the playoffs,
and eventually get to a World Series, the Dodgers did it.
I'm going to, I don't like the Dodgers.
I'm very anti-Dodgers, but I'm still going to tip my cap to them
and say that they won that World Series.
I, you know, I don't put an asterisk on a lot of things.
You tell me about, you know, the Red Sox potentially cheating
and the Astros essentially getting caught cheating.
None of that impacts me because at the end of the day,
it's still a team effort.
And it's still very mild, in my opinion, it's very mild advantages that they were giving themselves by these cheating.
In some cases, some people have even come out and said that the scheme that they put together made it harder for them to hit than help them.
And I actually believe that, right?
I mean, the Astros are a really good offensive team now.
Like, let's not pretend that they were relying on that in any fact.
fashion. Obviously, the optics are bad.
The optics are terrible, right?
The optics are what they are, though, because baseball allows for these kind of advantages.
Baseball doesn't rein these teams in. Baseball doesn't do anything about it.
Baseball is like a shitty parent, you know, like even when your kid is good and your kid follows all the rules,
when they go stay the night at a friend's house where it's a shitty parent, they're going to take
advantage of everything.
We can stay up until like two in the morning playing video games. Awesome.
You know, we can, we, my parents don't let us drink soda at my house after six o'clock,
but we can just drink straight out of the two-liter bottle here until we fall asleep.
Sweet, you know, these are, these are situations where if there's nobody actually enforcing the rules,
then are the rules even really rules, right?
Baseball's just been too lax on this stuff and they've, they've needed to tighten it up for a while.
Astros gave them a reason to tighten it up and to look into their protocols and everything.
We've advanced too far with video and all that stuff.
Look at what happened the other night.
There was a light or reflective tape on the outfield wall that was reflecting light.
And people thought because of the two teams involved that someone here must be cheating between the Red Sox and the Astros.
We don't know who, but somebody here must be cheating.
Right.
So once you get that reputation, that's the reputation.
you have. The Dodgers, you know, I mean, not to say that I think the Dodgers don't really deserve
the super negative reputation they have, but what they have been unable to do has been,
it's been last a full season and win a championship in a full season. They have that chip on their
shoulder about doing that. If they don't do it this season, if they don't make it to the
World Series and the Braves beat them tonight or, you know, in game seven, then, then I mean,
yeah, there's some question marks about this team and their ability to not only be good during
the regular season, which they've proven to be time and time again, but are they, are they
a team that kind of crumbles under the pressure once they get to the postseason?
I think that comes down, in my opinion, the leadership and management, Dave Roberts.
You know, I don't think Dave Roberts is.
Dodgers fans don't like him.
And I understand.
We talked a little bit about some, some opinions of Dodgers fans, and you can put him on the naughty list.
At least for most Dodgers fans, I know, he does not have a great reputation.
Well, at least AJ Pollock hopefully won some of them back tonight with his solo home run.
He did hit a solo home run.
Or in the last inning.
But, yeah, no, I mean, it just seems like there's some crazy stuff that happens with the Dodgers all the time.
And really, it comes down to the person managing the team, in my opinion.
if if they can't get this back on track in this series,
then I strongly have to blame Dave Roberts
and his necessity to pull out all the stops in some of these games
and have everything go.
Not only have like bad consequences maybe in the game that he did it,
but lasting ramifications against this team as they went on in a series
when they still aren't at the World Series yet.
it's still so weird to me that the Dodgers didn't win the division this year like that still
just doesn't like compute in my head because it i mean it has been it has been a certain way for a
long time in the NL West derrick i mean from 2013 all the way through 2020 that's a span of eight
seasons where the Dodgers finished in first place every single year and ironically this year
they won 106 games and that's that's what ended their streak 106 just wasn't good enough um but i i think
right.
To, you know, my original question about last year is the, is the Dodgers 2020 World Series.
Does it carry some sort of an asterisk because of the bizarre nature of the season?
And I think, I think you make a pretty, I mean, as much as the Diamondbacks fan within all of us,
including, I'm sure, our viewers right now, we don't want to give the Dodgers credit for that.
I understand.
I understand.
But in, in some ways, it was maybe even a harder World Series to win.
I mean, there were more, there were more rounds of the playoffs.
There were more teams to get past.
So, you know, you have the one side of the argument where the Dodgers didn't have to play as long of a regular season.
They had to play a longer postseason in order to, in order to get there.
And Robert, I find myself asking that question every single day.
So I'm glad that's what's on your mind right now.
Yes.
I mean, we get pretty close to it right now with the Arizona Fall League.
but man, I can't wait for spring training to come back around.
And I don't have any idea at all what's going to happen in the series.
I did put some money down on Eddie Rosario getting two hits in this game,
just because he's been making some noise with his multiple hit games, you know.
He's one for two.
He's one for two.
So I just, I need one more.
I need one more.
My good friends at Drafking Sportsbook gave me an odds boost on that one.
So I took it.
And let's see what happens.
But I will tell you guys, you get over at the draft.
Graph King's Sportsbook app.
You use our code of PHNX.
And once again, you will get $5.
Or excuse me, you will get $200, not $5.
Forget $5.
You bet $500.
You get $200 in free bets as long as your team that you bet on wins.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
It's that simple.
Draft King's Sportsbook customers can also get skin in the game with same game parlayes.
Of course, I have been telling you guys, I am Mr. Parlay, even though my parleyes
haven't been hitting, but I am still plugging along and doing them.
You can buy multiple bets from the same game.
It really is.
That's where they get you.
It's high risk, high reward, you know.
It really is.
And that's the thing is, is sometimes everything seems like it makes sense.
And I will, I'm going to give you guys, draft Kings pick of the week a little bit later in
the show that I'm staying completely away from the outcome of the game.
But I'm going to, I'm going to show you how I made a same game parlay that really
doesn't take the outcome into consideration much. I was on the Betts podcast today. I was talking about
the Browns being terrible. And last I saw, they were up 10-0. So you can take what I say with a grain of salt.
But that's why you can go on and do whatever you want. You can tell me how wrong I am. And I will
appreciate it. Draft Kings is safe, secure, and reliable. Best of all, you can deposit and draw your
cash whenever you want. Again, use our code of PHNX. And you will get $200.
and free bets for betting $5 on any NFL team to win their game as long as they win.
So again, go Arizona Cardinals.
Just a hint for you.

Jesse, you have a brand new article on go phnx.com about whether or not we're going to,
whether or not we've seen the end of David Peralta.
Well, not, I mean, not as a human being, but yes, the end of David.
Well, I mean, yes.
Based on our topic later, I understand how drastic that might be.
But I just want to be clear on the last of him in a Diamondback's uniform, yes.
Yeah, right, right.
Yeah, no, it's, it's an interesting situation.
I put out a question from our PHNX, DBAX, Twitter account, just asking people for their opinions.
And if you're watching us right now, I'd love to have you chime in.
do you want to see David Peralta back in a diamond back's uniform next season?
On one hand, you know, seven and a half million dollars, that's what he's, you know,
that's what he's due to make in his final year of his contract, which isn't a huge number.
It's not, not maybe a great number.
I mean, David Peralta was, was frankly not a, not a very valuable left fielder this
season.
He played more games than he ever has.
But from a production standpoint, you, he really had about as bad of a season as he's had
in the major leagues, which, I mean, he's had a, you know, a solid major league.
League career. So by no means am I saying David Peralta is a big negative or anything right now.
But he's certainly not the player that he once was. You know, he's 34 years old at this point.
And yeah, the Diamondbacks happen to have, as I wrote in the article, they have a pretty similar
player in Pavin Smith, who makes about one 14th of what David Peralta makes. You know, he plays
similar positions. He can play corner outfield. He also plays first base. His offensive numbers, I mean,
if you compare their offensive numbers, Derek, it's, it's almost like you're looking at the same
player.
Right.
They even have similar tendencies.
Pavin Smith is also sort of a big ground ball guy.
Check out the article.
I talk about how David Peralta is kind of an absurd ground ball guy.
He's been one of the most prolific ground ball hitters for years in his majorly career, which
unfortunately is usually not a good thing for a guy like Peralta.
He's going to do much better when he gets the ball up in the air.
but Payment Smith is a pretty similar player and he doesn't cost as much.
So it sort of comes down to, you know, do you need Peralta?
Do you need that depth in order to fill out your lineup card next year?
So that's probably what it's ultimately going to come down to.
But yeah, more details than the article.
And if you're watching us right now, I'd love to hear what you think.
Do you want David Peralta back next season?
Absolutely.
And you can get that article by signing up for a membership over at go phtnx.com.
Again, we have our annual membership, which will get you a free t-shirt from PHNXLocker.com.
Go check out some of the designs.
They are incredible.
There's some brand new ones that drop today.
Jesse, our man Arnold over our designer, our artistic god.
Turn this little job into a Phoenix Sun's gorilla design.
So I'm honored to be part of it.
Is that where it came from?
That is that right there.
That is the origin story of the.
a gorilla tattoo kind of S design that we now have up on PHNX Locker.
I'm honored once again to have anything to do with inspiring the great art that our guys
here at PHNX do.
But you can get yourself that membership and get yourself a free t-shirt.
The PHNXDVX one is really good.
Just saying, we both own it.
I really like it.
It washed really well.
If you know what I'm saying, it faded up a little bit.
It looks great.
Get yourself that shirt.
Also, if you're not interested in the annual membership,
you can get yourself the month-to-month membership,
and you'll get the first month for 50 cents.
So try us out, see if you like it.
And then, you know, like I've been saying,
by Jesse and I, a couple of tall Carmel Machiatos from Starbucks once a month.
And we appreciate you for even checking it out for 50 cents.
We don't blame you.
Yeah.
We get it.
You got to be cautious with your money in this day.
We're in a pandemic still.
Sure, go ahead, Jesse.
Yeah, no, I want to pipe in here.
and say that I speak from experience and that somehow like buying something for 50 cents or a dollar
is still like a major hurdle for me like like the moment I see an app there to cost 99 cents
I know like oh you got to be crazy like 99 cents for an app like all these three apps out here
you want me spending money on an app no I I'm with you on that one my man but again like that's
why we appreciate so much the people that have joined us been part of the discord uh
gotten their free t-shirt as annual memberships or just tried out the one month for 50 cents.
We completely get it. And again, we can't thank you enough, even for watching this podcast
or being part of this whole PHNX family with us. We love you for it. But I'll tell you this much.
I'm ready to gang up a little bit. And I'm ready to do some, to do some little cutthroat action
because I recently have watched the many saints of Newark. And of, of course,
course I had to bring whatever I'm watching over into this podcast. So Jesse, today, I want to do
a little, I want a little fun. Not necessarily a draft, but I want you and I to talk about who we would
pick as members to join our family, our mafia. In today's little experiment, the many snakes of
Newark, a D-back story. I can't sing the song, but I really want to say, you're saying, all right, I'll do
that that's the most I can do but anyway uh so who from the Arizona Diamondbacks current
current I'm going to give you the whole franchise wow the whole franchise I don't care up and down
I'm going to give you a selection on who you would take to join your uh let's say what let's say
mafia gang I think those two things contradict each other but uh mafia family we'll say mafia family
all right so you just want my first pick is that
Go ahead. Your first election. Yeah, I want to hear it. I want to hear why and who you're picking and what they're going to do for you.
Okay. I think I think Josh Rojas has like this stare down that like, I mean, that's such a good pick.
That dude murders people with his eyes, man. I mean, I, I'd be, I'd be intimidated to see Josh Rojas in a dark alleyway at some point in my life. So I, I think Josh Rojas is, he's, he's my number one overall pick.
You know why I like that pick.
I'm going to tell you why.
Is because Josh Rojas voluntarily antagonizes the opposing team just to rile them up and see
if he can get things going.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
He tries to provoke him, no doubt.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, you're not going to get that voluntary, you know, that voluntary, like, I want to go
out there and start a fight with someone else kind of attitude from a lot of people.
That's important.
That's important in a family like this.
I
Espo accused
I know Espo is going to accuse me of being
stereotyping here but
I'm going to go with Tori Lavallo
I'm going to go because first of all
Salvatore
I mean
right we're going with Salvatore
we're going with experience
right I want a boss
I'm not going to take care of those duties
myself I know I can't handle that kind of
responsibility so I'm going to bring in a boss
I'm going to bring in Salvatore Lavala to run my mafia.
And the thing I know about old Sal is Sal's not going to get his hands dirty.
You know what I mean?
Like he's going to be a very diplomatic leader.
Things aren't going to get all crazy and out of hand with him at the helm.
And I also know he won't have any problem like switching members of the mafia family out.
You know, like even for no.
reason at all. One guy could be just... The way he uses his lineup card.
Yeah, totally. One guy could be collecting at a really high rate and he's still going to pull
him out and sit them for a couple of weeks. All right. Let's go number two.
Okay. My number two. All right. I'm going to stick on the coach's side here. I'm going to go
with a guy who I'm not so sure about the intimidation factor here, but he is a monster strategist.
Like you want to talk about like playing the brain game and winning that way.
Dave McKay is the guy.
Oh, all right.
I mean,
this man,
this man knows how to direct base runners like none other.
And I have a feeling he knows how to direct,
you know,
people with other intentions.
Sure.
Just as well.
I get it.
I get it.
I was thinking you were going to go Mike Feders.
Mike Fedders,
I think.
Mike Fedders is also a great.
That's a pretty good pick too.
Mike Fedders would,
100% walk around with a Tommy gun in a violin case.
Mike Vettors would dress in a pin,
pinstripe suit with a bowler.
You know what I mean?
Like, that's what I'm getting out of Mike Fedders,
heavy vibes like that.
Okay, so my number two, I'm going,
I'm going with a number two for Sal, for Salvatore.
I'm going to take Madison Bumgarner.
I think Madison Bumgarner would be very intimidating as a number two.
Yeah.
I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think,
Sal would do the talking and I imagine old Bumgarner just standing over his shoulder,
like you were saying about Rojas, staring people down, using his size as an advantage,
you know, still, still keeping things calm.
Uh, one thing I've noticed, bumgarner does not give out the game plan during our pregame
media scrums, at all.
Yeah, at all.
He 100% believes that the opposing team is watching that media scrum, maybe he even believes
they're posing is one of us. I don't know. But he 100% believes that they are going to get that
information to use it against him. That is somebody I want on my side. You know, somebody with
that kind of that tight-lipped. Yeah, no secrets are getting out with Bum Gardner on my staff.
All right. So I've got some intimidation with Josh Rojas. I've got some strategy and Dave McKay.
Now I need, I need some, I need some charm, you know. Okay. So I need someone, I need someone who, you know,
Yeah, he just has something about him that just, you know, people just gravitate towards whether it's meant for good or for evil.
So that takes me to no other place, but the broadcast booth upstairs to the great Mike Farron.
Mike Farron.
Who is, I'm allowed to take Mike Farron.
You didn't make rules for this.
You didn't make rules for this.
It's so out of the box.
I was not planning on that.
But yes, I did include the entire franchise.
You could take my dude Frank in the elevator.
I don't care.
But yeah, Mike Farron.
Yeah, no.
I want Mike Farrin on my team.
And I also want to use this opportunity to give Mike a shout out.
Mike has announced today that he will not be returning for the 2020 season to work with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
And Mike is honestly one of the great people in baseball that I've had the pleasure of beating in my time covering the Diamondbacks.
So shout out to Mike Faron.
And good luck to him and whatever comes next.
We know, I know Mike Faron, whatever he has around the corner, it's going to be, it's going to be pretty great. So congrats to Mike on whatever that is. It has to be. And he is a great human being. My, my heart aches a bit at the thought of not seeing him at the ballpark. Yeah. I mean, he was on our show. What? Like, like, we could go. He replaced me. I thought, I thought I was done. Well, well, maybe. Maybe. Maybe I don't, yeah. Maybe there's an announcement I don't know about yet. I don't want to step on his toes, but maybe that's the announcement he has. We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll see.
But again, a great choice.
I'm going in the opposite direction.
I'm not going with charm.
I'm going with someone I would describe as an ice cold killer.
You know, somebody that after Madison Bum Gardner has had to ask for payments multiple times,
we can send in, you know, with an ice pick to just stab someone 60 times.
And that's why I'm choosing Caleb Smith.
Caleb Smith is 100%.
terrifying to me.
I'm going to say that.
Caleb Smith one time was asked
after he gave up a ton of runs
and a start against the Dodgers.
Was it hard to have as much time off
in between that start and his next start?
You know, I think it was during the All-Star break.
And I believe he made some sort of reference
to letting it burn inside of him.
Wow.
I was terrified, Desi, but at the same time, oddly respectful.
So, yes, I always knew that if I needed to call on somebody, you know, just as kind of like an ice man around, you know, kind of a mafia gang situation, I already knew I was calling on Caleb Smith.
Like this, this pick was decided six months ago, to be honest.
But it is what it is.
So I don't know.
I think we both have pretty good families.
I don't, I hope we don't go to war against each other.
But who knows?
I mean, sometimes the biggest conflicts are with your brothers.
So that, that was fun, though.
And I do think that, believe it or not, you know, there's, there is a lot of validity
to everything we said there.
Dave McKay, you can say what you will, but man, we missed him all season long, right?
I mean, that's great to see him at the end of the year.
Great to see him back.
and Toro Lavello has has a lot of, a lot of, I think, things to work out still as far as getting his choices for the coaching staff figured out.
I don't think it'll be long, Derek.
I mean, I'm expecting that announcement fairly soon.
You're not going to go too deep into the offseason without knowing, you know, who your coaching staff is.
So should be, you know, within relatively short order here.
Right.
Absolutely.
And again, guys, we want to just let you know draft king's sportsbook.
you can use our code of pHMX and get that $200 in free bets instantly for betting $5 on any team
to win as long as that team wins their game, that code again, PHNX.
And of course, we want you to go over and take care maybe of your family, maybe of your
mafia family by going to manscape.com and using our code of PHNX over there to get 20% off
and free shipping.
Of course, it's Halloween time.
It's time to end the days of shaving your balls
and having them end up looking like a horror movie, Jesse.
You know what I mean?
The folks at Manscaped have the perfect package for your package,
and they'll get that done.
Lawnmore 4.0 trimmer, weed whacker ear, nose and hair trimmer,
liquid formulations and two free gifts.
Free gifts are some boxers and a shed travel bag.
I don't go anywhere now without my lawnmower 4.0,
and you don't have to either.
Go over to Manscaped and use our code of PHNX.
It's manscape.com. Use our code of PHNX and get 20% off and free shipping.
And again, use our code of PHNX anywhere you want. I don't know. It's not going to work
many places, but we'll see if we could get some more endorsement deals through you guys
trying it out at other places, whatever. I'm pretty sure you can just pick any four letters
to get an Uber Eats discount, like when you first sign up. Yeah. I would be surprised.
Hey, right. I may try that for dinner tonight. We'll see. You might. Now, I did want to get back to
the draft kings for a bit because I wanted to give you guys the draft king's pick of the week.
Like I said, I went with Eddie Rosario to go for two plus two hits plus. I don't know if he's hit
that yet, but you told me he was, he wasn't one. He's still one for two. I think he walked.
But we'll see what happens. It's been fun. It's only the third inning. It's only the third
inning. I am staying far away from a couple of games this weekend. I am definitely staying far away from
games and selecting the winners anymore, but I did really like some of the action on the
Chiefs versus the Titans game. Just because I have this feeling once again that this is going
to be a very high scoring affair, I went, I went a little crazy. I think I went
crazier than anyone needs to do, but I went ahead and went with a four-leg parlay, or wait,
excuse me, for some reason, I went with a six-six-leg parlay. I'm going to give it to you guys.
I'm with Patrick Mahomes going over 269 and a half yards.
Derek Henry over 79 and a half rushing yards.
Ryan Tannahill over 199 and a half yards.
Derek Henry, anytime touchdown scorer,
Travis Kelsey, anytime touchdown scorer.
And the total over 57.5 points.
So as you can tell, all I went with was a lot of points are going to be scored.
and the guys that usually score them are going to be the ones to do it.
That's my draft king's pick of the week.
I hope you guys have success with whatever your draft king's pick of the week is.
And again, that code.
Oh, man, he's been crazy.
And I mean, the Titans, I picked against the Titans in that game against Buffalo.
And I absolutely regret it.
Buffalo, I think definitely they had their hands full with a very talented Titans team.
makes me more impressed about that Arizona Cardinals,
week one victory over this team, you know.
But shout out to shout out to all of you out there using that
