Starting point is 00:00:00 Are there more lyrics than Born in the USA? Yeah, they are hard to hear because it goes... But there are more lyrics. A flying foot could definitely Kung Fu kick someone in the face. Yeah, and you're trying to dodge it, but as you dodge it, the speedboat turn and it brought you into the foot. It's an impossible scenario. Not doing it. What celebrities do you think you could beat up? A fair amount of them that are older.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Like who? Robert De Niro. Oh, Robert De Niro. For sure, Robert De Niro. Joe Pesci. What, what, what, what, what, what? Welcome back to the Picky Boys Podcast. It hasn't been a long time for you, but it's been a long time for us, actually.
Starting point is 00:00:38 If you took the lead on that, I was going to start it a little differently. Oh, how are you going to start? I was going to say, my name's Danny. It's been 22 days since I've podcasted. Oh, like an AA thing? I've started calling my friends and family and just talking to them about nothing. Just in case. No, it has been some time.
Starting point is 00:00:56 I'm back, though. I'm back. We're back. We are so back. I'm back, and we got a nice—because I was gone for so long, the P.O. box kind of filled up a tiny bit. True, true. A tiny bit, so we're going to open up a P.O. box that we received from—do we know the name yet? Toast Bologna.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Toast Bologna. And we opened up so many things sent in our Patreon, patreon.com slash pickyboys, but we wanted to show and show again that we have a P.O. box, and if you ever want to send something, boom, we're open for it. And oh my lord. Boom! Dude, look at this beast. also should we mention that there are extra videos
Starting point is 00:01:30 oh yeah there are extra videos in the Patreon so we do two videos a week on Patreon and because you guys are the ones sending it we just throw those videos up as a little bonus video we let the packages store up and we just open them
Starting point is 00:01:45 and they're pretty long form videos relatively uncut and we just send them to you there's already three in there right now so patreon.com slash pickyboys and speaking of that But I think if everything went well, tomorrow the Moms podcast comes out. Yes. And we should have hit 800 possibly, hopefully by today.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Well, I don't like to count my chickens before they count your patrons. So that means we already have to put Danny on skate. So the patrons blown up. Get in there. Get in there. And let's see what we got here. All right. Heads up.
Starting point is 00:02:14 There's three boxes labeled for you guys. You can open those first if you'd like to. There are some goodies and a personalized card for each of you. I have two packages. Also with bubble wrap. One for Antonio and one for Danny. What's that? It's Danny.
Starting point is 00:02:25 This one says Danny. It says, okay, this one says important. It says, please open the purple, pink, and blue bags last. Purple, pink, and blue bags last. There's shirts, though. I see shirts. You know I like shirts. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Oh, toast. Skittles gummies. Oh, there's a picture of me. Oh, there's a little note on the back. Oh. This is, should I, oh, the name's Emily. Oh, my God. Look at these.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Are these glasses? This is the movie snack classics. Oh, man. You better get, if you go to the movies, you better get chocolate chip cookie dough bites. I don't even know where they sell them other than that. Oh, I got a fresh pair. That's crazy. How did they know your prescription and everything?
Starting point is 00:03:06 Well, I got to check first. Oh, gotcha. Guys, wait, this one's crazy. Actually, this got my prescription even better. They're HD. Yeah, these are. You look HD. You think so?
Starting point is 00:03:16 Damn, I feel good. I look good in these. What's that? This is the Twitch. Sheesh. Look at that. The Twitch right here. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:03:24 the picky boys on Twitch. Don't forget that. There's more. I also got air fresheners. I don't know if Toast is trying to say something here about my scent. You stink, dude.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah, I don't know. I got another bracelet. Aunt Prisco, my handle. This one, someone else sent this in the Patreon, in the PO box, and I've worn it
Starting point is 00:03:44 until its dye ran out. So I do have to switch over until I get a new one. I have to switch over. So this is my new one here. We're going to need to get like a display shelf at some point.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Of all the things that are being sent to us. Oh, wait. I got a private message here. I don't know if I have to tell you. I have a private message on this. Yeah, I like that each of us have cards that have a picture of ourselves on it. I was very frightened in this picture. I don't know where they got that from.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Okay, never mind. I'm allowed to say it. She said, I'm the favorite picky boy. Just saying. Hate to ruin that illusion. And now it's my bracelet. Got this. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Your mother. That's great. Your mother friendship bracelet. I hope she's not, like, oh, no, he wasn't supposed to say that. Blow Pops, best one. Oh, and I got a sticker. Silly Goose Juice. Boom.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Love this package. Silly Goose Juice? Yeah, love this package. That's funny. These are, you don't understand. I've never cleaned my, what is that? Wait, where'd you get that? Well, there's more stuff in there.
Starting point is 00:04:42 That was in your box? That was in your box. Oh, my God. This is insane. That looks like, it reminds me of the curtain you have down here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is a buttoned-up Hawaiian-style shirt, but it has all kinds of Instagram posts and pictures of us. Look at JT down here.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Oh, Chaz. Chaz, I'll make the bottom. Look at you with the mousetrap right there. Yeah, that was a terrible day. You can watch that if you go back. Wow. This is incredible. Puppets are on there.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Well, you've got to put that on. I'm going to put it on. You've got to put that on, baby. I'm going to put it on. All right. There's more in there, so we've got a podcast to get to, so we can keep going. Wait, what did you say? Damn, Danny.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Damn, Danny. I don't know if these are labeled, but there's a bunch of tie-dye. I don't know whose is whose. Let's see. And also it says Chagat and Thagat. Whoa. Let's hope people remember where that's from. From our –
Starting point is 00:05:32 I don't know what that is. Wait, were you there? No. Oh, no. That was when – this is yours. What is it called? The 100? Yeah, the 1% Club video.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Danny had to unscramble the words. The letters in thought and thought. And Danny said, oh, I got it, I got it. And he said chagat and fagat. I had to unscramble them in things that were words that rhymed. Not a word. It didn't say words. It was clearly a word.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And you know what? No, they're both the same size. Okay. So which one do you want? I like this red and black one, honestly. This guy calls me red, and I'm not red no more. No, no, I want blue now. I want blue.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Beautiful. By the way, if we also didn't say this, the P.O. Box address is in the description down below. Yes, and Jason will pop it up here. now. Do it, Jason. Hey, hey, hey. What's this? Hey, it says Danny on it. Oh, sorry. Oh, look at that bad boy. My name in
Starting point is 00:06:23 Super Mario font. Oh, this is going right above my computer. Right there. You're an ogre. Wait, where's I got this instead? This might be yours. I don't know. I'm trying to read it and figure it out. The names were on the thing. The names were on the thing. Well, no, it's a Disney thing. That's a Disney thing. Give me that.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Thank you. I'm just trying to figure it out. I hope you don't get one now. I hope you didn't get one. I got enough. I wouldn't be mad. This might be yours. No, of course. What is a... Oh, shit. Wait, is this the purple bag we weren't supposed to open?
Starting point is 00:06:51 No, no, no. That said, there are tiny little things for Chaz, Martin, and Jason. Aw. I think... That's a purple box. This is the purple one. Save those for last. Save those for last.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Okay. Okay, so these got to go to Jason, Chaz, and Martin. I got a ton of Reese's. Thank you for that. What's that? I don't know if I mentioned that. Oh, it's a sticker. Oh, you have a little private note, too.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Chef Boyardee's Nuts, classic JT. Got him. Wow. Immediately got Antonio. This is fire, isn't it? Oh, wow, Danny. Yeah, dude. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 That's dapper, dude. Oh, yeah. I was going to do this, but I feel like... Do you like that you have my tongue just directly on your chest? A little misaligned. Yeah, a little bit. It's custom. It's tough.
Starting point is 00:07:30 It's okay. I like showing... Yeah, yeah. Show the chest hair. 70s. I like those pictures right on Danny's bosom. Wow. I love this, and it's going to be great wearing it out in public, honestly.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Yeah. That'll be something. Also, this... Wait, where... Is this just a tie-dye shirt? Yeah, tie-dye shirt. This one says Danny Boa. Open last.
Starting point is 00:07:50 This one says Antonio. Open. And this one's for me, I assume. Open last. I got the best color, by the way. Why'd you get the... Oh, you did. What?
Starting point is 00:08:03 Oh, shoot. What? Dude. This is incredible. What? They are custom Funko Pops. Funko Funk yourself. Bam, dude.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Funko, fuck yourself. Funko, fuck yourself. Is that what it says? Dude, you just immediately lowered the resale value. I can't believe you just opened it. I got a little excited. No, look at that. It's a little me.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Oh, it's pop yourself. I thought it was funk yourself. That. Why would it? Oh, I dropped my camera. Oh, I dropped my camera. My guy's holding a weight and a controller, video game controller. And you, are you wearing a grout fit?
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah, I'm wearing, I'm wearing a, I think I'm a mobster. Stay toxic. Get what you want. Don't let anybody tell you shit. love that that's my message my guy's holding a skis and a pint of beer that is hilarious also you know that it just comes off oh bald mine does this is this is a wig mine doesn't come off i'm glad mine doesn't come off because then i feel wait does it oh it does i'm not doing it i don't i don't want to do that to my to my funko pop wow beautiful hair down pretty well i've always
Starting point is 00:09:07 wanted like the same thing with that the same feeling that we got with the puppets like i love things that look like me yes yes and this is we're adding it to the little custom i love things that look like love things that look like me wow thank you so much toast baloney thank you you're right opening that last was important very important also that's just the that's just the what that's just their discord name i don't know emily emily emily on the notes all right thank you so much emily um i'm just glad i got a new glasses replacement because Mine were getting so dirty, and I don't know how to clean glasses. But now I have this beautiful pair.
Starting point is 00:09:46 This pair's going to go in there. All righty. Oh, my God. This is how people see normally? Yeah. This is beautifully clear. This is so beautiful. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Beautiful. There it is. And he did it. Zoom in on little Danny. There he is. Zoom in on little Danny right there. All righty. You should attach him to the top of that cup.
Starting point is 00:10:07 So that's a sneak peek of something you can get on patreon.com slash picky boys. Let's get in to the podcast. Yes. There's a lot to talk about. There's a lot to talk about. First of all, how was your vacation? Oh, with me. A lot to talk about with me.
Starting point is 00:10:18 You just got back. It was good. It was hot. It was back. You should have at least one story. Oh, no. I didn't do anything. I was on vacation.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Wait. No, no. We saw on your Instagram and we talked about it. You had an excursion, buddy. I didn't have an excursion. I went to a restaurant that was near a lighthouse that was on, like, the top of the island. Did you have to walk there? No.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Oh, my God, no. You get dropped off right there via taxi. You do a banana boat? Nope. This guy doesn't do anything else. Didn't do. This man did not explore. I went on vacation to vacate what I would usually do.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Yeah, but how many days can you sit in a row on a beach? I'll tell you. All of them. I could tell you. All of them I can. I knew that was going to happen. I knew that was going to happen. Man down.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Listen, I'm an excursioner. On a trip that long, I'm an excursioner. I think someone we were with went on an excursion, went on an ATV, and then flipped it and broke their arm. That's what you get when you excurge, in my opinion. That sounds to me like you excurge like an idiot. Yeah, well, they're a little dumb. But even when you go on the banana boat, they had whiplash for two days.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Two days of vacation gone. That just means they didn't ride the banana boat properly. I'm sorry, Danny. You know how to ride the banana boat so well. I'm just saying, you don't have to get whiplash. First of all, you shouldn't be turning your neck like that. That's not when you get the whiplash. It's when you hit the solid water at 40,000 miles an hour.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Just don't fall off. Once someone else falls off, the ride stops. So you just got to be the least worse. Yeah, but unless the person in front falls off and barrel rolls everybody out. You can't eat all that. You can't eat all that pressure. You just need a good straddle on the nana. That's all you need.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Yeah, but doesn't it go on there because you kind of want to fall off? No, yeah, that's the fun part. Well, the threat of falling off is what's fun, not actually falling off. Right, because getting back on there is literally the worst. But also, no one falls backwards. You fall on the turns. That's true. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:15 So you fall off the side. Yeah, but if the whole thing's going sideways. Also, this is when you're a float attached to the back of a speedboat, by the way, which people don't know if that's possible. I guess some people don't know what a banana boat is. But then, yeah, and everyone's in a row. A lot of people definitely don't know. We were just talking about it.
Starting point is 00:12:30 We were just talking about banana boat. I was just trying to fill you in real quick while you're back there. But if it's going sideways and you fall off, you'll clip somebody. A little club foot right in the jaw. A flying foot could definitely kung fu kick someone in the face. Yeah, and you're trying to dodge it, but as you dodge it, the speedboat turned and it brought you into the foot. It's an impossible scenario. Not doing it.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Hey, that's fair. That's fair. I went to the beach. I played Trouble. Okay. I drank. Okay. I ate good.
Starting point is 00:12:58 All right. I gambled. Okay. I drank out of a coconut. So I was going to say, everything you just said until that last one, could have done right here. Could have done that, too. Yeah, you could do that here.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Except the problem was what I couldn't get, which I loved more than anything else, was just the view of blue water and palm trees. Rockaway Beach right here, 20 minutes away. Yeah, oh, suck my ass. You got it right here. Suck my ass. You got it right here.
Starting point is 00:13:23 The water's a little brown. It was beautiful. Antonio's a blue water slut. Also, it was a real vacation because we were talking to some of the people in the discord uh i had the wi-fi i think because of the hurricane first of all if the if the wind blew five miles in the other direction i wouldn't even have been there so i was taking all that in as it came no matter there was no i had zero problems even if i stubbed my toe zero problems because it was almost wiped out the island you know what i mean yeah that's true and you weren't
Starting point is 00:13:48 you weren't there yet i saw i saw the i saw the the footage the footage of the island right next to the one you were on being destroyed yes and it's it's incredibly sad but like just fortunate for that island but and then so i was just happy the whole time just to be there and then uh i kept being happy oh that's what i was gonna say excuse me zero wi-fi it was the worst wi-fi i've ever i've ever experienced in my life i might as well been in the middle of a forest that happens to be a very nice uh beach with palm trees it's true we got it we got a text from antonio like every few days and it's been 72 hours since my last message to you guys yeah like that was my version that That was my version of in a bottle, message in a bottle.
Starting point is 00:14:28 It must have been the hurricane because I've been to that place, and I had pretty good Wi-Fi. I've been there, too, and I was able to do something. I couldn't do anything. I specifically remember when I was a kid, I went there. Aruba, by the way. I was just, I don't know. I guess when you're just with your mom and your dad, you just want to hang out with your friends, even though you're on a nice island. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:50 So I bought my PC or my laptop, and I was just playing Minecraft with all my friends just online. It was what I would do as a kid. It was when Hunger Games Minecraft came out, and I was so into it, and we were just playing there. Yeah, I'm sure his parents were really upset that the young Danny let them do whatever they want on the vacation. Well, it's not that they're upset. Didn't think about it that way, did you?
Starting point is 00:15:11 They were probably happy for a little bit, and then also were like, come on, we brought you on this vacation. Have fun. You could be doing this all at home. True. After a while, they're probably like, what do we do with this one? True. My parents are the same way.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I would bring my laptop or I would even try to bring my whole Xbox console and they'd get very upset. How are you bringing that? You bring the wires. There's going to be a TV wherever you're staying. My parents would be very upset. My parents were 0% happy. They weren't like, all right, this is going to keep them busy while we do our thing.
Starting point is 00:15:43 They're just like, JT, fucking get up. Let's do something. I did also bring the Switch and B-Rio card. I did also do that. Well, you got to have fun. But the way they worked is that they had no outlets by the TV and the only outlet was a double outlet and both of them had to be plugged in
Starting point is 00:15:59 for the TV to even work. So that didn't work out anyway. Wow. But I did try. And other than that, it was a good time. Now I'm back. Well, now we're back. Whoop, whoop.
Starting point is 00:16:09 And it's just as hot here. It is really, really hot right now. It's just unbelievable. Yeah. I know Jason's not here, so this would be, that's unfortunate. New worst National Anthem performance just dropped. Really?
Starting point is 00:16:25 I don't know if you heard it. I watched it. I don't know if you heard it. I watched it. Here, we can listen to it a little bit. Please. We have to. I don't want to watch it twice.
Starting point is 00:16:31 We have to. Was that the All-Star game? No, it was during the Home Run Derby. The Home Run Derby, yeah. And I was watching it yesterday, and I was just doing stuff in the cabinets, organizing stuff, and I heard just these piercing, piercing tones, and I turned, and it might be the, who was the other one? Fergie?
Starting point is 00:16:48 Fergie, yes. It might be tied for the worst. Wait, can I guess who sang this one? Oh, it was way worse than Fergie. I don't, I don't. Way worse. Was it a joke? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I feel bad making fun of this person, but... Do I know this person? Nobody. Her name is Ingrid Andres. I have no idea who it was. I thought it was... And also the way she was dressed singing, I thought it was just someone that lost a raffle
Starting point is 00:17:09 and had to sing the next one. How do you lose a raffle, by the way? Like they won, but a bad one. The person who gets picked has to sing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. I'll send that to you, Jason. Let her get into it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Nervous voice cracks, for sure. Yeah. It's not bad yet. No, not really. It's rough. It's getting worse. see that was nice where are you going with that
Starting point is 00:17:59 where are you going with that dude I was I can't there's no more we get the point I think it gets worse we get the point dude I was I sat down
Starting point is 00:18:09 I was just like this in my was she doing a little bit of interpretation you know and the rocket's red glare the bombs bursting through air that's what she was doing and i don't know why that was a little better that was no listen i am
Starting point is 00:18:25 not a singer i can sing the national anthem better than that yes i can sing national anthem better than that well look what we're doing no i'm not saying the national anthem no i'm not no i'm he started doing this to his own hole i'll say no i'm not singing now you gotta i know i need to prepare and i'm talking about in front of an audience no i can sing it i think zero prep you could do better than that. No, no, no. Alright, so I'm going to play the national anthem. I'm not singing it. Come on, you can do it. I'm not singing it. No, no, she did it without music. He has to do it without music. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:18:54 She was music. No, they play the instrumental. Danny, you can't say what you just said and not do it. No, I'm not singing it now. First of all, I don't know the lyrics. So you can't sing it better. You literally can't. You immediately can't sing it better. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:19:10 If you don't know the lyrics, you can't sing it better. If I have a little teleprompter She didn't have a teleprompter. How do you know? Because did you hear her? I don't think she knew what words were. Again, if I knew the lyrics and I was at a, you know, not a major league baseball game. If I knew the lyrics, if I was a good singer, if I was Beyonce. I'm just saying I could belt out something a little bit better. Better.
Starting point is 00:19:32 It would be better. It wouldn't be as, this is what it would be. Hold on, hold on, hold on. This is what it would be. She tried, I respect her for this. She tried to do something great. the reason mine would be better is because I would just try to do something okay
Starting point is 00:19:47 and that's where I would fall I'm calling my 30 time out brother JT help me Terminator as soon as you got in front of those people there would be no words there would be zero sounds coming out of your mouth
Starting point is 00:20:03 once you're there you have to do it because you can't disrespect now the baseball fans are going to be like go fuck yourself I've seen Danny walk up, spend an hour and a half on a line, go up to the tippy top of a slide, and walk down. So, yes, you can. Once you're there, you can back out.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Well, those are different. That's totally different. It's more about the mindset of the man. It's totally different. Again, I respect her for trying to do something great. I would try to do something just okay. Like, bare minimum. Bare minimum.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And that would have worked well. Oh, it would have worked. It would have worked. You saw me. I tried to get on this thing, and I knew you guys were rooting for it. How many people in that stadium do you think could sing the National Anthem better than that performance? 90%.
Starting point is 00:20:46 No. That might be a little intense. No. Not for sure. There are some people who. You're saying if they were just in a vacuum and they just sang it? I mean, I don't know what the vacuum is. Because as soon as they go down there,
Starting point is 00:20:57 I think more than 99% of people won't even go down there to sing it. Yes. So. Okay, I see what you're saying. That's what I mean by once you give me my vacuum. Yes, yes, yes. So without the stage fright, if you just recorded all of them in a private booth, how many do you think would end up better than that? It's one of the hardest songs to sing.
Starting point is 00:21:15 You just took away stage fright? Again, definitely 90 now. Probably 20%. No. Probably 25. No, more than that. Probably 25% in reality. More than that.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Maybe she had stage fright. Maybe she just thought she was killing it. Maybe she thought, hey, we need to change it up. It's so boring. You are backtracking as hard as possible right now. The backpedaling. It's not backpedaling. It was awful.
Starting point is 00:21:38 But sometimes, again, when you try to do something great, it has the potential to be awful. But that's why I agree. I think 90% of people wouldn't try to do something great, and it would end up being better than that. I don't even trust today's day and age, because she's a real singer. She's a country singer,
Starting point is 00:21:51 and this has gotten her more popularity than I have ever seen in my life. So I just think it was a thing. That's what people do. It's an intentional flub. Yeah, that's what people do. No one knows it's real anymore. That is the most true thing Danny has ever said.
Starting point is 00:22:04 and it's and yeah that's crazy I don't know watch this I just I'm Danny yeah it's
Starting point is 00:22:11 it's very strange but good for her hopefully she makes a name for herself in some way it didn't hurt Fergie's career
Starting point is 00:22:19 well Fergie was already Fergie's already Fergalicious it did haunt her every time anybody thought of the national anthem ever
Starting point is 00:22:26 yeah yeah and I you told me this person's name still don't know it so it's still Fergie's is still the worst
Starting point is 00:22:31 no no no I think that's how the stuff like this works is that'll just be what you're known for until someone else that's worse or more notable comes along. Yeah, but then you'll
Starting point is 00:22:44 have the Jordan versus LeBron. It's like, no, Fergie's was way worse. Fergie had six notes messed up. That's true. Fergie's isn't actually as bad as I remember. I don't even remember. No, I got it. It's pretty bad. Do we have Fergie's now? It's pretty bad. It's pretty bad. I'd honestly venture to say it's maybe worse than what we just
Starting point is 00:23:00 heard. Fergie National Anthem didn't even have to do it. Fergie I just have to type in... Does the anthem person also do first pitch? No. Oh, no. Okay. Well, I'll tell you what.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Fergie National Anthem is directly above this new National Anthem. She also tried to do something different. All right. Well, Fergie's singing the National Anthem, everybody. It's not even the word. That wasn't even the word. Whoa. This is so much better.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Wait, no, no, no. She's pronouncing. Where is it? If it's at the end, I don't want to listen to this whole thing. It's in my ear. Oh, wait. It's a little bit. Let's speed up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:24:12 No, then we're going to miss it, and then we're going to have to go back. One of the funniest parts about all that is in the video where all the basketball players are trying their hardest not to laugh. And you can see it. It's like those moments with your friends where you're not allowed to laugh. And that makes it ten times more funny. As soon as you're not allowed to laugh, everything's – this is a comedian. Everything is funny.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Everything is funny. The other strange thing about that is, dude, she pronounced every word wrong. Incorrectly. It sounds like someone who doesn't speak English but who just memorized the sounds of the national anthem and, like, tried to repeat it off of memory. But she just said every word wrong. The other one was worse.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I mean, the other one was worse. No, no, you're right. The other one was worse. The other one was way worse. The other one was way worse. But this one's funnier. That one is funnier. This one's funnier because it's a very well-established singer doing that.
Starting point is 00:25:04 But you could tell they were just trying to be weird. The other one, unfortunately, was just a bad night for that person. I wonder if she knows, you know, during the performance. I don't think so. I think it's really hard to hear yourself and how you're doing. Like, because it's you're just hearing it like through the speaker phones, which are, you know, not in the middle of the field with you. I mean, but I know when my voice cracks, like, but it's not it's not just that she didn't hit the notes. It's that she tried to do the weird things like like she knows that she tried to do that.
Starting point is 00:25:36 I guess she just doesn't know how it was received. I wonder if she gets off. She's like, so what do you think? And everybody's like, oh, you went viral. That's not... See, stuff like that makes me think it's planned. That's not the first time she sang it, and you would hope to God somebody said,
Starting point is 00:25:52 hey, maybe we lower it on the high notes in this part or something. They should give her a little auto-tune. That's it. That's what everybody needs nowadays, so... I think they should just replace the National Anthem with Billy Joel's Piano Man anyway. Piano Man.
Starting point is 00:26:04 What about Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA? Way better. Yeah, but... Way better. But if you actually listen to the lyrics to that song, kind of anti-USA. I mean are there more lyrics than Born in the USA
Starting point is 00:26:19 they are hard to hear but there are more lyrics and they are slightly Billy's Joel everybody Billy Joel yeah I think I just like Candleman I just like Candleman because I don't know
Starting point is 00:26:36 that's not even oh yeah and I want Lose Yourself to be it and that's what you can cast your vote for But, I mean, we'll see who wins in the head-to-head. You think Piano Man's going to win? I think every... What?
Starting point is 00:26:48 I think this was in, like, 100 podcasts ago. No one's watched that one. My New Rules for Civilization. Oh, that was a long time. I think I said that every year we should cast ballots for the yearly national anthem. I think it should be every four. Which I totally stick with that. Every four years.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Okay, yeah. No, every president could pick it. Yeah. No, no, no. The people have to pick. I don't want the president. Power to the people. Power to the people.
Starting point is 00:27:11 So every time you go to the president's election, it's presidents of the other stuff that's on the ballot. Way at the bottom. And then way at the bottom, it's write in your vote for national anthem. You have to write it in. Piano man. What, is there going to be 100,000 songs? No, I'm saying can't there be like brackets until the final debate and then it's between two? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:27:29 So we have to do a primary event? And now you have to vote. This is a new election. And now you have to vote 20 times over the year. It's better than writing in a song. First of all, you can't write in the song because you know what's going to happen. and the internet's going to pick, like, Meow Cat, Meow Meow Cat. Oh, my God, we should do a Eurovision.
Starting point is 00:27:46 This is what I'm telling you. Where did you know? Why does it have to do with anything? It's a United States Eurovision. Everybody has to come up with an original song, and then they compete. And then that person's song, the winning song. No, no, I do not want an original song.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Original songs would be great. Yeah, they're all going to be sappy and stupid. Not all of them. No, no, it's got to be Piano Man. It's got to be. Stop saying Piano Man. Stop giving that power. This is my first time saying it.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Yeah, but stop doing that. I cast my vote for Piano Man. Yes, I heard that, but now you're convincing him. So what? And then every person from every, like one person from every state or a couple from every state sings? That sounds so unbelievably lame. So lame. I'd rather it just be Piano Man.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I think we'd get some sleepers. That's probably true. What would your vote be? Piano Man. I think you'd do some Beach Boys. Yes, Piano Man. You're a Beach Boys guy. I can't do Beach Boys because you can't pick a song
Starting point is 00:28:40 where all you want to be is out of where you are. Like Aruba, Jamaica. Like, I can't do that. We'll just annex those territories, and then we'll do it. I'll just do Bruce Springsteen. I feel like he'll beat Billy Joel. Definitely beat him in a fist fight. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Isn't Bruce Springsteen like 94 and dust right now? Bruce Springsteen is, I think, younger than Billy Joel. Oh, Bruce Springsteen beating the piss out of Billy Joel. Jason, can you look up Bruce Springsteen's age? What celebrities do you think you could beat up? A fair amount of them that are older. Like who? Robert De Niro.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Oh, Robert De Niro. For sure, Robert De Niro. Joe Pesci, I could turn that guy to dust. These people are like fucking 70, 80. Yeah, if I have to do someone that's kind of closer to my age range. All right, who in their 50s? Probably nobody. Who in their 50s?
Starting point is 00:29:28 I mean, there's got to be somebody. What about like RDJ? No. Well, no, no, no. I think you could beat the fuck out of RDJ. Robert Downey Jr.? I don't think so. He probably knows some jiu-jitsu thing.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Why do you assume that? Because, you know, the actor, they do fighting roles. They kind of learn. They have stuntmen for everything. Now I'm thinking of all the Avengers. Oh. Jeremy Renner. That's true.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Before. Wasn't he in like a. Yeah, but before the incident probably. What happened? Snowmobiling or something? Snow plow. Snow whole things. Snow plow.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Yeah, I think he like saved his family. Very heroic. Good on you. Yeah, but then he's going to beat him up. Is he like paralyzed or something? No, but I just think that he probably has some lasting injuries. They're pretty much the same age. Also, it kind of looks like Billy Joe can beat the piss out of Bruce Springsteen, actually.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I don't care. Sorry, Jason would have looked it up by now while we kept going. That's why we have Jason. Stop being sick, Jason. I was watching Wimbledon tennis. Yeah, yeah. And I was wondering, tennis is, you have to be silent. Everybody has to be silent in the crowd.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Right. And everybody knows that they scream after each thing, you know? Yeah. you just did yeah exactly yeah yeah and so i'm wondering maybe does does every sports athlete scream but it's just that usually you don't have to be quiet in the stadium so we don't hear them this guy's never played sports this guy's never i'm just asking i've never played sports to the to the degree of just using everything i have that i have to make an audible noise to get that the last bit of energy the only people that scream are combat sports definitely do yeah i don't know
Starting point is 00:31:08 like what do you mean like what do you mean just screaming yeah because football players scream all the time like because they need to because they can't hear shit soccer players scream every time they get poked to try to get a foul and sort of basketball well i'm not i'm not saying streaming the order is i'm saying just while you're doing it like you're running with the football you go They're like, ugh, ugh. No, but I think a defensive person coming after a wide receiver or something, like, I'm going to get you, bitch, like shit like that. I believe that happens.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah, but I'm talking about a scream. Because tennis players say they scream because they just want to juice that last bit of energy. They're exhausting so much of their energy that they're going, ah. Maybe they're just kind of pussies. Sounds like it. It kind of sounds like that. Baseball players have a similar motion, and they're not screaming during their swing.
Starting point is 00:31:54 And they are swinging way, way harder. But also they have less stake because if they miss or hit, they don't have to do anything after really. Like tennis players, you hit it, and then you also immediately have to be ready to hit back. Unless it was a good hit. Totally different. It's like on versus one time thing. So that makes the need to scream? I don't get that part.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Well, I think it's just more physically demanding than baseball. Yeah, for sure. Hitting in baseball? For sure. Oh, hitting in baseball? No, baseball is pretty slow. I mean, fucking, they're fat people. No, he means the whole sport.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I'm talking about the act of hitting a baseball way harder. Like, definitely more force and stuff for baseball. No, definitely harder, but less physically demanding than a good volley in tennis. A good volley? Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, a good volley. No baseball player comes, you know, hits at the plate and then is all sweaty afterwards. That's probably true.
Starting point is 00:32:48 They're probably already a little sweaty. Tennis players are soaked. These people are soaked. So wet-tee. It would be funny to have a baseball player, every swing, he's like, you know? Yeah, I think some of them might. We just don't hear it because, again, they don't need to be silent.
Starting point is 00:33:00 No, you would hear it. No, but you can hear them. There are times when you can hear them talking at the plate. Yeah, you hear the – you've been behind the plate. They just – they're quiet. It's all focus. That's why. Tennis, there's no focus.
Starting point is 00:33:11 There is no passion. There is no driven. Oh, there's focus. You need to focus so hard on hitting a baseball, A tiny ball coming at 100 miles per hour I think screaming would just mess you up I think you'd really need to focus on Also, a tennis player's racket
Starting point is 00:33:26 Might as well be the size of a fucking It's this big Comparatively, it's huge You know how easy it is to hit a goddamn tennis ball Over the net, and accurately, alright But you can hit a tennis ball I mean, a tennis ball At least in certain tennis competitions
Starting point is 00:33:43 Coming at you way faster than a baseball Yeah, but your racket Yeah, but your racket is the size of a chair. It's huge. It is like this big. Comparatively, it might as well be the broad side of a bar. The baseball is the same. The bat is the same size as the ball.
Starting point is 00:33:59 I understand that. Height-wise. This is totally different. You need to hit essentially a two-dimensional object with a two-dimensional object. 50 more miles per hour is a lot. A lot. 50 more miles per hour? A lot.
Starting point is 00:34:12 When is it 50 more miles per hour? Oh, 150 mile an hour serve? All the time. Yeah, but it has to hit the ground, which slows it down. That's true. Yes. So everything you're saying is wrong. When it reaches you, it's definitely not 150.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Yeah, no, of course. Of course. It's the exit speed from one person's racket. When the baseball reaches those players, it's at 100. It's 105. It's not slowing down massively on the way there. Tennis ball will. That's true.
Starting point is 00:34:40 After a bounce. That's true. And I think it's more like in 140 range that is accurate. That is normally. This guy probably watched Challengers, and now he's just blowing tennis. No. I mean, I did watch Challengers, but I liked tennis before that. I did.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Tennis is fun to watch. Tennis is kind of fun to play. I guess. What does love mean? Why are they always talking about love? Oh, I know. It's very good. They just love love.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Yeah. Does that mean it's tied? I have no idea. 50 love. I think love means you're about to win. I don't know. It's a weird sport to watch. I try to watch, and the numbers go up and down, and there's sets, and I'm like, it's
Starting point is 00:35:10 too confusing. Yeah. Why can't every sport just adopt a point system that makes sense? One, two, three. One, two, three. What's wrong with that? One point here, one point there. They do any increments of 15.
Starting point is 00:35:20 I don't get it. And you really don't need that because it's kind of just tally mark, tally mark, right, for tennis? It's also kind of they do like a seven-game series for each matchup. And whoever starts with the ball kind of just wins that series. So you're just trying to like steal one series from the other opponent where they're serving first. If you can steal one of those, you're probably going to win the whole thing. I guess so. And that's why they make it so many.
Starting point is 00:35:43 These tennis people are not going to be happy at us. We're going to play tennis. We're really degrading their game. Pickleball's taking over anyway. No one cares about tennis. A weirder, cooler tennis came and took it by swarm. I love you tennis people. There's no tennis people watching.
Starting point is 00:36:00 I love you tennis people. And also, because you guys don't know the answer, if you play sports and you scream, let me know. Do you think you could get hit a serve back against Serena Williams? Absolutely not. I definitely can't. Absolutely not. I definitely can't.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I think if you give me 100 tries, I can hit a serve back against actually anybody. I agree with this. Yeah. 100 tries? 100 tries, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Now. But just like.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Do I score a point on them? No. No, no, no. Oh, I mean. As soon as I hit it back, she's going to hit it right back again. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I have to do it twice now. Yeah, yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:36:31 I can't do it twice. That's what I mean. I don't think I could beat anybody. I don't think I could beat any of them. Can I hit a serve back? 4,000% I can hit a serve back. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Now, 10 tries. now it's tougher now it's tougher this is ridiculous i why is this ridiculous i would need i need i usually need 10 to 15 to be able to do it to adjust i can't do it on one or two i think you might be able to place your racket in a position that it will hit the racket counts but that's hitting you won't hit it in like i don't think you know i don't think you can control like i think you would just hold it out and it happened to hit and then does it is it a fair Does it count? It depends on where your hand is
Starting point is 00:37:12 Totally random Out of 100 tries though Oh now you're back to 100 I'm talking about 10 10 can't do it Also as soon as I hit it With the center of the racket I'll just be like I got you
Starting point is 00:37:29 And then I'd fuck with their head Let's pretend for a second That you're a hockey goalie And 100 pucks getting shot at you How many of those can you defend? Shot or is it a penalty? Like they could come up and do their weird fucking magic. Or just shot from half ice or something.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Where do they usually shoot from? What about like a 15-foot slap shot? 20-foot slap shot maybe. I think. They can't fucking, they can't dribble them out. Okay, so they can't dribble them out. Oh, yeah. If it was just actual penalty shots in hockey, I think maybe I'll defend three.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Yeah, maybe. Out of 100? Yeah, maybe. And it will be because they put it into my chest by accident. You've got to remember that. They mess up. Also, I think if you had 100 goalie stuff or 100 penalty shots at you in hockey, and you kind of just came out of the crease so hard and threw yourself at them 15 times,
Starting point is 00:38:22 you might be able to block 10 of those. I think you might be able to block 10 of those. But you're going to be too scared to get hit by them anyway. You'll make yourself small. The puck's going to hurt. The puck's going to hurt. The puck's going to be hurting. We'll find out.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I guess we'll find out. You had 800 Patriots. Hopefully, we're there. If we're not, get in there. What are you doing? And also, Jason would have been yelling at us to wrap up by now. Oh, yeah? Pretty severely, actually.
