Starting point is 00:00:00 I like how we put on just graduation gowns, spewing facts the whole episode. Oh my god, I don't think we've ever sounded more the dumb in this episode. More the dumb? Yes, we did. And I had like pantyhose over my pants. Lightning struck right there, and it was like I got flashbanged maybe a while ago. Because that's like when you're first starting a podcast, you go to like your greatest hits way too fast. Yeah, your greatest traumas.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Yeah, your greatest traumas. What are they trying to say is happening? I don't get it. Time moves different for the baby. No, no, no. That's what they're trying. Well, that's definitely what they're trying to say. Yeah, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Welcome back to the Picky Boys podcast. It has been four years of the podcast, and we could have graduated in that time. That's very true. So, you know what? Here's our keynote speaker. Yeah, I'm the valedictorian as well. Oh, bro, come on. You sure about that?
Starting point is 00:00:52 That's what it says. Either way. Hello, fellow juggalos and juggalettes. It's an honor to be here with you all today at the Insane Clown Posse Potluck Dinner. Oh, sorry, wrong speech. That was a different one. What's happening? It was the wrong speech.
Starting point is 00:01:07 I'm sorry. As Dr. Seuss once said, the more that you learn, the more places you'll go. Unless what you learned isn't useful, then where you'll go, nobody knows. Today, as we celebrate our graduation, I must confess, I have my doubts about the information we've learned. We've spent years absorbing facts and theories, but how much of it will actually serve us in the real world, and how much of it was even factually correct?
Starting point is 00:01:34 However, one thing I can wholeheartedly recommend is our school merchandise. The T-shirts, hats, and other items may seem like simple souvenirs, but they are really a symbol of the memories and friendship we have formed throughout our educational journey. So as we go forth into the world, uncertain of what lies ahead,
Starting point is 00:01:52 let us take a piece of our school with us in the form of our merch. And who knows, maybe one day we'll look back and realize that what we learned wasn't so useless after all, and might be true. Might be. Wow.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Was that new merch leading in? Oh yeah, there's new merchandise. It is the four year anniversary of the Picky Boys, so today we decided we're gonna do a college themed merch drop. and we started our own university. Yeah, PBU. We couldn't get a .edu handle.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Trust me, I tried. But you can go to pickyboys.com. You'll see a brand new website with all kinds of Picky Boys University merch and books and mouse pads and sweatshirts. So go check it out. Bada bing. Bada bing.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Love that. I feel a little nostalgic about just graduating in general. I don't. Well, no, you've graduated something. you know at some point there was there was there was preschool and that's yeah oh high school and i was drunk when i'm at my high school graduation we were getting our gowns for our high school graduation and i was there already because i'm a good student and then i get a call none of my
Starting point is 00:03:05 friends are there i get a call from jt i think and he goes antonio you gotta come get us danny's a monster he can't stand on his own i'm in the auditorium getting my gown like they're supposed to be there already and then i don't know i don't know what happened on your end i just i got there and had to drive them well you know it was just it was the morning after a night of drinking and obviously the original plan was you know we all wake up in the morning and danny's gonna drive us to school it's gonna be a grand old time however danny like it happened many times before like it happened many times before danny decided to set that plan on fire because he uh i think we've talked about this he may have urinated may or may not have urinated himself in his sleep
Starting point is 00:03:45 He drank a little too much. We stayed up a little too late, et cetera, et cetera. The jury's out. The jury's out. The jury's out on that. Come 9.30 a.m., and it would be very illegal for him to drive us to school. Yeah, and I did have to change my pants. They were just tight.
Starting point is 00:04:00 They were tight. They were tight. And wet. So I changed my pants to JT's pants, which were way too tight. Which were way too tight. They were way too tight. They were like kind of the fit of a yoga pant, honestly. Hot.
Starting point is 00:04:13 And then I tried to drive us to school, and then everybody stopped me and said, somebody get these keys away from this man. Get these keys away from this man. We called Antonio. He came over. I think you drove Danny's car, right? Yeah, I did drive Danny's car. You came over, and Antonio's car only fit, like, however many people,
Starting point is 00:04:28 so he drove Danny's car, which Danny did not like. That is a hard convince there, to get Danny to allow someone. Well, it's because one of our friends were with you guys, but you didn't want him to drive it on top of that. So, like, they had capable people to drive the car, but just I had to do it. Immediately as Antonio's backing out of the driveway, a car passes by, honks really loud at him, almost crashed it. Well, that guy was going way too fast. Almost crashed it is the point.
Starting point is 00:04:53 That guy was going way too fast. This fucking tassel is so annoying. Jesus. Oh, yeah, wait. Do we move it to the side? Was that graduating? We graduated, guys. We graduated.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Woo! Woo-hoo! Next, we're getting our masters. Yes. Oh. But isn't that crazy? like think about it truly if you absorbed all of this information over four years you could have done something better i was wondering i don't think you're saying that correctly the past four
Starting point is 00:05:22 years crazy amount of time to be doing this it is a crazy does it feel like more to you or less to you or four years four years feel right does it feel correct i don't know it feels like less it feels like way less well also because like i don't know it just feels like less because covid really messed up our graduation definitely messed up our school years definitely covid covid is a big and honestly to anybody who's in real school covid is a huge problem yeah well it was but it was just like it definitely detracted from your college experience true two years right i mean yeah two years of hard like you know rules and lockdowns and this and that at least so yeah it's crazy but it doesn't feel like four years to me no but i don't know i they when as you sometimes i'll go
Starting point is 00:06:06 back and watch our content and i'll be like wow i don't even remember having this conversation yeah that's something cool about it it's like you can go back and forget what you've talked about and like oh well now i'm a viewer experiencing this for the first time like that's cool yeah but then but then you start to think about it a little too much and you realize that you're watching yourself and you're like oh see i my brain doesn't get to that part like my brain gets to that part it's like oh i'm watching myself so weird it's like that is exactly what you're doing True, but it's weird to watch yourself and not know what you're going to say. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Okay, I'm starting to understand that. Because obviously I watch the videos every week. I have no problem at all with re-watching myself or hearing myself on camera. But when I'm watching myself and I don't know what I'm going to say, that's weird. Because now it's like two different Dannys that are interacting with each other. Oh, especially a Danny from two years ago. Who knows what he could have thought compared to this Danny? Well, I'm an evolving, changing being, as we've said many times on this show before.
Starting point is 00:07:05 No, I agree. I agree. Danny and two years ago. Danny, don't agree on much, honestly. I disagree with that. There it is. I think at our core, we're pretty similar people. You and past Danny, for people who might start getting confused.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Yes, me and past Danny. What about you? How long does it feel for you? I feel like you asked us. Two, three years. Four years is crazy. Two, three years? Two, three years?
Starting point is 00:07:27 To think that this past four years, right, because you guys started this when I was, like, a senior in college. I was just about to graduate, right? And that's when I came back home and started being on a podcast, really. But you guys started this then, right? So that, to think that I've been doing long, sorry, to think that I've been doing Picky Boys, you know, pretty much as long as I was in college, because those were basically back to back, feels very strange, right? Does that make sense? Yeah, that makes sense. The four-year stint there felt long, and then this four-year stint did not feel as long.
Starting point is 00:08:01 True. Well, time flies when you're having fun, babe. And also, they say as you get older, time moves by faster. That's terrifying, by the way. Definitely true. Yeah. I felt that. Did you see that thing where they were talking about if you put a watch on a baby, as soon
Starting point is 00:08:14 as it comes out of its mother and a watch on the mother, it'll be different times? What was that about? You look like it was already disproven. I think you're getting this wrong. No, that's what it fucking said. Bro. I didn't see that, but what are they trying to say is happening? I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Time moves different for the baby. No, no, no. That's what they're trying. Well, that's definitely what they're trying to say. They're just trying to say that watches don't align, I think. Well, no, it's not about the watch. If you put someone on a plane with a watch, and you sync these watches before, and someone not on a plane, and then they take a long flight, there will be differences in the watch. Because the speed you're going affects the ticking.
Starting point is 00:08:50 What? The ticking? Yeah, basically. Because if you went the speed of light, all time would stop. So the faster you go, time gets a little slower, slower, slower, slower. But it's like – Wait, hold on. Well, now you're really blowing my mind.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Wait. So you're saying that if I was forever on a plane, just forever, let's just say, forever on a plane, I could maybe have saved a minute off my life? Yeah, like if you're on a plane your whole life, I don't know the math of what it adds up to, but you could probably save like a minute. So that means they're kind of right. But does it stop the clock? It has to do – I don't know what this mother-son thing is. I don't know. We're talking about speed you're traveling.
Starting point is 00:09:24 No, but I think it's the same thing about with the plane, except like a baby is the plane. And they like move at different speeds. It's like how he said, like when you get older, just time moves different for you. That has to do with your mind. No, no, no, no, no. We're talking about physics.
Starting point is 00:09:40 How do you know it's not? Also, a watch would not be able to discern the difference. The person wearing the watch doesn't affect the watch. But the watch can discern the difference when you're in a plane. Because the watch is moving at the speed. So then why can't it discern if it's on a baby, a little baby watch? It's possible, though. This doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I think it just, I thought that the whole statistic was just about the watch. It's like, oh, I get it. Watches tell time differently, and they're stilly. So you thought that in order to show that watches tell time different, they had to use an example of a baby fresh out the gun and the mother? Why couldn't it just be me and you and just watch? Because most watches tell time at the exact same rate. It's just that you have to observe it over a long period of time
Starting point is 00:10:29 to even see the difference. The mom is older. Yeah, exactly. But I'm saying that's why you lose a baby. You observe it over this whole life, and eventually the times will be different. Yeah. This simply cannot be about how time passes.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Because, first of all, the watch wouldn't recognize that. Why? Because it's a machine. Maybe it would. Because you could put, yes, you could put a watch on a baby and a mother. And sometimes the watch that the mom has might be faster and sometimes it might be slower. It just depends on, like, the speed of travel of the baby at different times from its mom. So it's not like –
Starting point is 00:11:05 That counts. It's not – but what you're saying is, like, oh, it's always slower for the baby or something. No, I'm saying it could be either way. But what it is, if you went around the earth in, like, a spaceship for a year close to the speed of light, and just for a year and then came back down everyone else would have experienced 40 years
Starting point is 00:11:21 or like you know whatever I don't know the math but and you would experience one that's crazy you see even that doesn't make much sense to me
Starting point is 00:11:28 it doesn't and neither neither watch is wrong they're not like wrong like oh this watch like relative to their experience it was a year for them this is in my mouth
Starting point is 00:11:37 it was a year for them and it was 40 years for them no one is incorrect interesting speaking of space did you see the new space suits they revealed this like so
Starting point is 00:11:45 so for some reason We're putting people on the moon again just to see what's going on over there. See if anything changed. Yeah, see if anything changed. Nope, still a giant fucking rock. Flag's still there. Nice. That would be scary.
Starting point is 00:11:57 You don't think it is? If the flag wasn't there. I thought the flag, like all the dye faded. It's like white. It's a white flag. It's a surrender flag now. Well, that'd be good. Maybe if aliens came by, we'd accidentally be like, no, we're all right.
Starting point is 00:12:08 No, I think it's actually just because China's going there, so we have to, you know. Either way. but they revealed this awesome new space suit and it's like fucking black and it has these like cool ass like fucking patterns on it and it just looks really awesome and then they were like this is the space suit that these guys will be using except for one thing is that it will be white and it's like it just looks that wasn't a reveal i mean i understand that the technology in the suit has changed but why even reveal it black if it's going to be white it's like it's like this is the brand new coffee 3000 it's this is it except when it's released it's a mug yeah it'll
Starting point is 00:12:47 be a mug like it just doesn't make sense but they said it has to be white they want to make it aesthetically not white but it has to be white for like thermal reflective reasons the sun right yeah the sun yeah like is it like right black clothing absorbs heat more something i don't know but the point i mean when you walk on the street with bare feet in the summer it's like hotter right yeah then the sidewalk so now they are much closer to the sun up there so i understand it being white they are closer is it more um it can be true what if you're on the other side it's a good point no no even if you're on the right side you can still be further oh wait i just no no actually what we just said was really dumb no because we're protected here so like it's
Starting point is 00:13:25 like double far because the ozone no there are definitely times where if you were on the moon it would be hotter and closer to the sun i understand that i'm saying no matter where you are it is way hotter out there because we have the ozone protecting us so that the ozone adds like a light year but it's also way colder space is cold the sun is hot i don't know yeah it's true i don't know i agree i don't know either way this is this is a fucking question for neil degrasse tyson yeah where is he the point is just don't fucking bait me with the fucking with the cool ass space suit if it's not actually gonna look like that so is it like a a future one yet because the old ones are so clunky.
Starting point is 00:14:02 They have no movement. If they fall, they can't get up on their own. That's part of it. It has double or triple the amount of joints. So they can move. They can bend. The guy was doing a lunge in it. Oh, that's fire.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Yeah, yeah. Exercising? But it still has that kind of classic shape with the helmet and a big, they call it the backpack. He said it's essentially just a super advanced air conditioner slash scuba oxygen tank. Okay. Hell yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:30 And they're just, so they have more movement. It's basically just so they can move around and, you know. Do astronauts' helmets fog up? Oh, I read about this once. I don't remember. Because I've been in a lot of helmets, a lot of helm. Yeah. And a lot of them say they're anti-fog.
Starting point is 00:14:45 None of them really are. Not a single one. Not a single one. And there's no way to, like, lift it. Yeah, it's like. Well, I think that's probably what the air conditioning unit does. Yeah, but breath's hot, babe. It can be.
Starting point is 00:14:57 They also, I remember reading about, someone asked, in the old ones especially, do you ever get itchy? Because no way to scratch it. They said they had developed ways to just move around in their suit and scratch themselves. That makes sense. Itch like a bear up against a tree, but it's the suit. They also put a, I saw a video, they put a vehicle on space. They were driving around. Tesla.
Starting point is 00:15:22 No, no. He did launch one up there. But they were driving around on the moon. there was like a moon rover that they literally got in and they were like woohoo isn't that
Starting point is 00:15:29 isn't that crazy isn't that what they do well I mean only like a few handful of people have ever been and we kind of we haven't been to the moon in like 30 years
Starting point is 00:15:36 they brought like a little a little buggy right a little like car a little moon buggy did you see you see how big the land rovers actually are the land rovers
Starting point is 00:15:44 like you know the like just the rovers they send up oh like the Mars rover oh they're fucking humongous they're so big I thought I thought it was a little
Starting point is 00:15:49 like go-kart yeah me too it's the size of it's bigger than a bus it's bigger than Yeah, like a little WALL-E. It's bigger than a bus? Well, it's big.
Starting point is 00:15:57 It's humongous. It's really big. I thought it was like WALL-E going around up there. Yeah, me too. You know, like picking up rocks, being like, oh, we don't need this. Well, for some reason, I just pictured the moon. Like, I know it's really big. A marble?
Starting point is 00:16:07 But I picture it's like, oh, we're on the moon. Like, we can walk over there, and we'll be kind of close to the edge of it. Like, you know, like, I thought it was tiny. Oh, the edge. Not the edge, but, you know, the vanishing point, you know? Danny's a flat mooner. No, I just, for some reason, I thought, like, oh, you walk the moon. Maybe it's a few miles, and then that's it.
Starting point is 00:16:27 How big is it? How long would it take to walk around it? Oh, yeah, you've got to ask this question now. The thing is, no one has been to the dark side of the moon. We still know how big it is. How long do you think it would take to walk around the moon? I have no idea. I'm just asking.
Starting point is 00:16:39 If I had to guess, I'd say, well, how long would it take to walk around the Earth? Another great question. The Earth is 26,000 miles in circumference. I know that. I know how you're getting there. I don't think it's going to help. But you can't really walk around it, though. Let him do it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Wait, hold on, hold on. Let him do it, let him do it. Okay, so to walk. You can't really walk around. There's water. There's water, but you can't really walk around it. So let's say you were walking at a brisk 10 minutes per mile. That is running.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Yeah, not really. That's jogging. That's not brisk. It's brisk. You could walk. You could speed walk. 10 minute mile. You're going to speed walk around the earth?
Starting point is 00:17:24 This is for efficiency's sake. I can't do it with multiples of 8. So let's just keep it calm here. 15 minutes is a fast one. We're doing 10. Okay, so we're doing 10 minutes per mile. 26,000 miles. That'd be 260,000
Starting point is 00:17:39 minutes. Alright. And that's to walk around the earth. Now, how big is the moon? No idea. I'd say Probably 8,000 miles circumference. Okay, so how long would that be? So that one means it would take 80,000 minutes.
Starting point is 00:18:01 So how long is that? How many days is that? How many days is that? I don't know how many minutes are in a day. I guess we could put it into hours. That's going to be tough. 80,000 divided by 60, that would be. Christ almighty, I don't even.
Starting point is 00:18:19 He just graduated. No, no, keep going. You got it. 80,000 divided by 60. Yeah, there are tears coming down my face. Tears. That's a toughie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:30 It's tough. Well, let's do, what is eight divided by six? That would be like 1.1 or something. I don't know. One with a remainder of two. One with a remainder of two. Where does the remainder go? Did that help?
Starting point is 00:18:47 So that means that it would be like, I don't know, 12, 120 days? It would take 120 days to walk around the moon. That's a fact. Wow. No, I mean, I'm not fact-checking it, so I believe you. True. Go to piggyboys.com to buy Piggy Boys University merch. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Wouldn't it be cool, though, if there was a little planet, like you're talking about, Super Mario Galaxy? you could literally run around the other side. It's as big as maybe a couple houses. You could run around it, throw a Frisbee, and catch it on the other side. True. It could even be bigger.
Starting point is 00:19:26 If it was just two miles around, it would be fun. I feel like the smaller it gets, I would be scared. I would try to jump. I'm like, can you jump off it? That would scare me. Oh, true. Just float off into space? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:38 It's gravitational pull can't be much. It can't take that much for you to just, like, even a sprint and, like, maybe you're just running so fast you're not even on the ground anymore. You just keep going like a plane, you know? Well, that's what I also learned in this moon discovery is that there are only certain times when we can go to the moon. Like, you can't just be like, oh, we have the rocket. Let's do it. Like, we have to be in a certain path to make it most efficient for our rockets to then get there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:08 We basically use the Earth as like a slingshot, like it's a gravitational pull, and so we go. Well, also, I don't know if this is really stupid. Like, the Earth's rotating, right? So, let's say we're launching from Florida. It's possible the moon is just on the other side of the Earth. That's not good, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Or is it just up? If you wait 12 hours, you'll be on the other side with it. So, is that how that works? Because the Earth will spin. Yeah, right, but we're also like shifting axes, and the moon is doing that. Also, Florida is, for some reason, the best place to launch from. Oh, I was right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:42 Fuck yeah, dude. B. The answer's B. I mean, Elon Musk launches from Texas, I think, sometimes. Close enough. Close enough, yeah. Close enough. In terms of the Earth scale, it's pretty close. In terms of the people who live there, also pretty close.
Starting point is 00:20:54 You think so? They have similarities. Which states on opposite, far away from each other are the most similar, you think? Oh. Wait, what? Because you can't say, like, Jersey, New York, not fair. And coast to coast is not fair either because it's just California. So which states share the biggest similarity but are furthest apart?
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yeah, that you wouldn't expect maybe. Dude, I might even say, what do you think? The thing is you can just go the other way. You can go top to bottom because a lot of the states in the middle of the country are very similar no matter which point you're on, top to bottom. So a state at the top is pretty similar to a state at the bottom, I think. But I feel like that alone will change a person's personality. True.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Weather does change. Like cold states, I feel like people are mean. I might say like Vermont and Oregon. Oh, yeah. That's a great answer. Is that Oregon? Okay. That's a fantastic answer.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Okay. Way better answer. Yeah, like the perfect answer. Perfect answer. Is Oregon's- All the way on the west. Well, you're reverse. So it would be like Oregon's like here, right?
Starting point is 00:21:54 If this is the map. Oregon's here. Vermont's like all the way over there. That's pretty good. That's a pretty good answer. Probably, I don't know, 2,900 miles away from each other. 3,000 miles away from each other. That's another fact.
Starting point is 00:22:05 That's another fact. I think you win. Yeah, that's a good one. That's great. What about, like, South Carolina and North Dakota? Like, what are they? You might have some similarities there. Like, what are they doing?
Starting point is 00:22:16 No, there's no beaches in North Dakota. South Carolina at least has, like, beaches. So much of it isn't beach, though, right? Virginia and Arizona. Oh, no, definitely not. Why? I mean, Arizona is, like, a rocky desert. I don't know anything about Arizona.
Starting point is 00:22:31 No, I'm not just talking about, like, geometrical. Yeah, that affects people's personalities. But I'm saying, like, geometric. The shape of it, you know? That does affect people's personalities. But I feel like Virginia... That's why I just feel like... I feel like everything on the inland is pretty similar.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Like, anything that's landlocked is, like, pretty similar to each other. Okay. Because I feel like... Dude, I stopped in Virginia once on the way down to Florida, and it was 110 no human... It was, I couldn't breathe.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And I feel like Arizona's like that. Also, there's something about humans, I feel like, that we want to live by the water. Like, it doesn't even have to be, like... You think it's in us? Like, it doesn't have to be, like, California, Florida, like, beach living, like, that kind of water. Like, even just in New York, like, we are surrounded by water.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Manhattan is an island, you know? Like, we just like living by the water. Yeah, I feel like as humans, or at least where we live here, we can see water very quickly if we need. It's like, oh, I'm having a panic attack. I need to see a body of water. Like, you could go find it pretty quick. And I like living by a body of water.
Starting point is 00:23:32 I don't know. It worries me. Yeah, but then you have to pick, right? You're in a body of water, tsunami, flooding. You're in the middle. Tornadoes. The earth can open up. Tornadoes.
Starting point is 00:23:40 You're over there. The biggest volcano that's ever existed could wipe out humanity. It's like you can't win anywhere. What is it? So San Francisco, definitely on a fault line. They've had, like, huge earthquakes from the past. They build their houses, like, differently there, right? To make sure.
Starting point is 00:23:54 All the buildings have, like, counterweights in them. There's an earthquake. I think, like, so for California over there, the earth can open up and they're gone. Not good. The middle of the country has tornadoes. Yeah. Because that's just, like, dry, like, flat land. That's where tornadoes build.
Starting point is 00:24:11 And so the middle of the U.S., the wind could just go, your house is mine now. Sure. Not good. Not good. If you go a little further down to the right, rain, your house is gone. Not good. Anything in the southeast half of the country or quarter of the country is very prone to hurricanes and things like that. So what do we have up here?
Starting point is 00:24:36 It's not that bad here. It's pretty good here. It's pretty suckers. We have hurricanes. We also get hurricanes, and we will usually get the tail end of every major storm. But we're pretty good. And we had the lightest earthquake like 10 years ago. You know what's funny?
Starting point is 00:24:52 I'm pretty sure it's almost impossible for New York itself to have an earthquake hit it directly. It's just so much bedrock, and we're nowhere near a tectonic plate. I think we're in the middle of one or something. Not the middle. But I did feel that aftershock. There was one in Virginia or something.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I specifically remember. I was in Dunkin' Donuts, and everybody was like, what's going on? Mine, literally, I was sitting on the couch watching TV at my parents' beach house back then that they had. and I remember just seeing there was a hanging pot plant and I was like,
Starting point is 00:25:23 is that thing swinging? That was it. That was it. That was all I felt. What's going on there? It was like, it was just. And then you just went back to sleep.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Yeah. It's like, it's probably the ghost again. No, so New York or like up here has a sprinkle of everything. We got blizzards,
Starting point is 00:25:36 hurricanes, flooding, macroburst and a little bit of an earthquake. What is a macroburst? Oh yeah, well we learned that one day. It's an upside down tornado.
Starting point is 00:25:46 So essentially, instead of sucking things up. Danny was hit by it. Wind pressure pushes everything to the ground. Oh, my God. So it goes this way. Yeah. So, like, he was hit by one.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Yeah, I was hit by one with Charlie. With Jolly. Yeah, the great tree flew around. You ever tell that story on here or not, really? I think so, yeah, for sure. Maybe a while ago. Because that's, like, when you're first starting a podcast, you go to, like, your greatest hits way too fast.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Yeah, your greatest traumas. Yeah, your greatest traumas. That was when Danny, around that time, is when Danny was scared of lightning. Because lightning is what hit him. Very fair. that's a rational fear well because because i wasn't afraid of lightning up until then in fact i was quite the storm chaser i know i'd always i'd always i'd always go me and my friend would
Starting point is 00:26:29 always go if it was raining we got a lot of a lot of rains coming we go and we and we go like to the park and we just see like you know how hard is it really gonna rain open field best place to be how hard is that's where we would go how how hard how hard is the wind really you know like can we stand like you know can we jump and fly dude we had we we did that we we went like we were we didn't know it was going to be the worst hurricane that's ever existed here that day but not the macroburst a different time but we went to like uh the salvation army we picked out funny outfits for each other and we went to just go drink at the park and like a gatorade thing with a metal table and we already spent like two hours setting all this up making the drinks
Starting point is 00:27:06 getting the outfits that we just popped up in the middle of the baseball field and just sat and started drinking while it was pouring rain and i i swear to god i think lightning struck there right there it was a strange thing to do storm or not honestly i thought it was fun because it was you know summer it was gonna be hot yeah we had we had i think many of us had dresses on yes we did and i had like pantyhose over my pants lightning struck right there and i it was like i got flash banged like you couldn't it was like your whole screen was white couldn't see anything and then the loudest and then we fell off our chairs and ran that is very much what it's like Yeah, it was very scary.
Starting point is 00:27:45 I think they say that if your hair starts to stand up, you got to get out of there. It's common. Yeah. Yeah. I think that just means static is building up in the air, getting ready for a lightning strike. Yeah. Lightning is terrifying. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:27:57 It's so scary. But I like watching it from afar. There were a couple, too, where it was so loud that every person in the state heard it. And all of Twitter was like, did anybody hear that? true that was that one that woke up all of us the house shook this is only like a couple months ago yeah that's i thought a bomb went off see but even that's scary the fact that just the air and a little bit of particles can make you think a bomb went off this might sound silly but can we harness electricity like so like electricity like no i'm saying like i'm saying like lightning
Starting point is 00:28:31 like can we can we harness thought he was benjamin franklin can we harness its electricity Because, like, the Freedom Tower and the Empire State Building, like, their spires get struck, like, all the time. Like, is there any way to capture that? No, I think I might be making this up. I think they use a copper rod, and they will, like, harness it on some level. Yeah, or maybe they don't harness it. I think they do that to draw lightning away from people or trees.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Well, I mean, they don't have to do it because it's the tallest thing around. So, like, if you're in Manhattan, isn't it, like, technically lightning should never strike the ground because there's so many tall things around? Right, but I think more so because all the tops of the buildings are metal. It's not like it strikes one point and then that – do you ever see the video of the soccer players? They're playing soccer and lightning strikes the ground
Starting point is 00:29:27 and immediately everyone on the field, like, falls over. Oh, my God. And it's like, I don't think it strikes one point, and that's the only dangerous point. Literally, everyone on the field passed out. Can you imagine being struck by lightning is fucking crazy. Yeah, you won the reverse lottery. Yeah. It's fucking wild.
Starting point is 00:29:46 That would be so scary. You rolled a crit one, basically. Oh, yeah. Crit one perception. I was always afraid that lightning would strike my car, but it doesn't really do anything, I don't think. I don't think it does anything. I was, like, my parents were always the fear that, like, can lightning strike a pool and I die if I'm in the pool? Don't have the answer, but.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Because, you know, electricity, water, not good. Bad mixes, some things, sometimes out there. But if, I think it was, I could have swore I heard this one time. We were all in the pool, and it was raining. And we're like, oh, no, I think it's going to, lightning. And everyone was like, no, no, everyone get in the pool so we all share the shock and no one will die. Well, that is how electricity works. Right, but I think a lightning bolt,
Starting point is 00:30:29 I think Zeus could kill a pool is what I'm saying. I don't know. I really don't know because planes get struck by lightning and nothing really happens. If my plane got struck by lightning, I'd be very upset. Planes get struck by lightning all the time.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Is that true? I think so. We gotta ask Martin, dude. Don't you have to be grounded or something? I promise you, you do not have to ask Martin about this. You can ask Google first. uh yeah i well that's why like you have to be having like rubber sold shoes if you're an
Starting point is 00:30:58 electrician well that that definitely won't save you i don't know no i think it does if i had rubber sole shoes i think i get struck by lightning every shoe has rubber no no no ones that are no these are the lightning shoes the lightning but i think this is again this is just guessing here i think if you does that mean if you jump and get struck by lightning dead but if you're standing there and get struck by lightning you're grounded that's good no no you need to be grounded to be shocked no you need to be grounded to a take a shock and not die so if you dive through the air and get struck by lightning way more chance you die that's that's what my theory is leading to okay that's where it's getting if you have one foot up and one foot on the ground that's
Starting point is 00:31:44 not good that's not good so if you jump on the third rail perfectly with both your feet you survive that's that's definitely a thing i know that for a fact i don't believe if you if you if you jump on the book or put your hands on the third rail at the same time you will not die can we say that's not a fact on here yeah let's not can we say that's not i mean don't try it yeah don't don't but that is that is what they say also like it has to be the exact same time what if you if you if you pee on the third rail you're dead that was a thousand ways to die can it travel up my pee well i think electricity goes through water really fast what no but i think i think on a thousand ways to die if i'm remembering it correctly i think the answer is or is it myth
Starting point is 00:32:27 busters the answer is yes you can but the initial shock would cause you to break the stream and not deliver enough electricity into your body to die true like if i guess because but they said if you were perfectly if you if you were just being electrocuted and still maintaining a perfectly unbreakable stream then you could die like that that has to be some monster piss because as soon as it happens you'll go oh yeah so either way go touch the third rail if anyone is dumb enough to actually go do it honestly get rid of i don't they don't have that in subways anymore right Yeah, they do. That's how we power the rails.
Starting point is 00:33:11 No, I thought that was a... It's a power rail from Minecraft, the third rail. Dude, my friend... Here we go. My very good friend, I... What happened? I got separated from him, right? He got on the train, and I got off, and whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:25 We're both... We got separated, right? So he took the train back to the stop, and then the train we're supposed to get on was supposed to come, and he, since he took the train back, was across the way. Oh, God. So he made a power move. And he jumped down and ran across and came up to my platform.
Starting point is 00:33:45 And I always wondered, like, was there – oh, if he stepped right here, he's dead? Like, how does – do subways have third rails, or was that trains that have third rails? I know for a fact that there is a third rail. Like, if you're in the New York City subway and you look down, there's the two rails the train goes, and then there's one that has, like, a thing over it. Yeah. That is what I always assumed was the third rail, and that was the dangerous one. But I don't know if it still is powered. The third rail isn't just exposed to the world.
Starting point is 00:34:13 It's covered by something. So even if he stepped on the top of it, he would have been okay. Don't do it. But I think if you get in there, it's over. Do you think rats have learned not to touch it? Oh, for sure. Probably they can hear the frequency. I'm making this up.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Rats can probably hear the frequency of the third rail and be like, you know what? Probably not great. They just know that. It's just true. you know yeah i also i was watching a video about how it's almost impossible for new york city trains to crash into each other almost doesn't give me the most confidence because there's they have like a system of essentially traffic lights and whenever another traffic light is red this thing pops up and it's like a little tiny thing like it's literally this big and it pops up but
Starting point is 00:34:58 there's a thing inside every train that it would run over and it just like immediately causes the emergency brake to stop that's smart that's smart so that if someone were just like fuck this red light powering through it would just immediately stop that's good because you can't if you ever leave something up to a person like the conductor or whatever at some point some idiot's gonna mess it up yeah some either some freak or some just sleepy boy yeah why do we need train conductors then just to yell at people pretty much yeah i like how we put on uh just graduation gowns spewing facts the whole episode.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Oh my god, I don't think we've ever sounded more the dumb in this episode. More the dumb? More than dumb. That might have been
Starting point is 00:35:37 the cherry on the ice cream cake right there. True. I do feel like a scholar in this, I'm not gonna lie. I do. It's funny what
Starting point is 00:35:44 a uniform can do. I also feel like a choir member. I can do one of these. Hosanna. Yes. See? Not with that, probably.
Starting point is 00:35:55 No, not with this. Yeah, I feel like that gives it away. You can't wear hats in church. also true me and antonio actually graduated before danny yeah we were we're just wearing this to catch up to you yeah we got 2022 no sorry say 2022 oh yours says 2023 yeah i was a super senior it's gonna take me five years five years to graduate but yeah i mean these uh should we do
Starting point is 00:36:19 another merch plug perhaps i think we can end with one yeah i think we're good so go to picky Pickyboys.com. Check out our new merch. We've got a ton of great designs here. Pickyboys University. We got PBU to kind of keep it more vague because I think nobody's going to believe that Pickyboys is a real institution.
Starting point is 00:36:36 So if you want to trick your friends and family into thinking that you did have some kind of higher education, you can get the PBU ones. There's a Pickyboys Athletics. There's Pickyboys Gaming merch. We got it all. So go to pickyboys.com, and that's it. Beautiful plug.
Starting point is 00:36:51 What do you think, so instead of Picky Boys University, what would, like, if my mother asked me, oh, what's PBU, what would I say? Oh, you can say... I feel like you just put, like, some, like, Greek name in there, right? Let's just do it as far away as possible. Let's go for Australia. This is the Perth Business University.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Perth. Oh, true. Perth Business University. That's Australian. The fuck was that? That's Australian. I don't know what that was. The Perth Business University.
Starting point is 00:37:21 It was really good, the business part, and the Perth and the university were horrible. Perth? No, how do they say Perth? I have no idea. I didn't know that was a place. The Perth Business Uni. Better.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Better, better, better. I guess the less syllables, the better. Perth Business Uni. No, that was worse. All right, whatever. Just say you went to a school in Australia and fuck off. Also, yeah, so let's get out of here. All right.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Oh, yeah, JT, you go first. I go first? Yeah. Yeah, find me on Instagram, JTHolder97. Find me at your local graduation. and find me streaming on Twitch. Twitch.tv slash PickyBoysStreaming. I'm graduating.
