Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back to the Picky Boys! That's it. That's it? Sorry, it's been so long since we've... Where? Yes. Where? Where? Where? I was like, what the hell is this guy doing? The cobwebs are getting dusted off.
Starting point is 00:00:16 We haven't podcasted in T-minus 70 days. Was that too much of a spreading thing? What were you saying? I was trying to open up like an old crypt. That's the cobwebs. But now I'm realizing it looked more... I thought you were yelling into an old man's ass. why was it
Starting point is 00:00:30 why did it be an old eddie man it could be an old woman's ass yeah why not at least I think cobwebs just you kind of just do that
Starting point is 00:00:37 yeah it's more of that I don't think there's no grunts there's definitely no grunts well what was the worst you were definitely spreading some cheeks alright whatever
Starting point is 00:00:43 maybe I was spreading some cheeks what was the worst cobwebs you've ever seen you ever seen one like on an old dusty lamp that's a good question
Starting point is 00:00:49 pretty sure I saw one in Anthony's house where I literally thought that like a spider that was four feet long was coming on and getting yeah
Starting point is 00:00:57 I was like Anthony I can't sleep here I don't know with the thing that made that is that it's home i don't know if i could stay here they love the corners of love the corner ceilings uh there's been like a single strand in my car once that's not bad sometimes they get in there yeah and then you just find them oh on the outside usually i don't know why they i don't know i would say like once every two weeks i walk right into one in the driveway here i believe that's a silkworm really i think so what is that this is a worm that shoots
Starting point is 00:01:29 silk oh i thought those were in china i thought so too but like that was a while ago i think they're a silkworm well i'm confused how it always it feels like it always happens to me and i don't leave the house a lot so i don't know am i taking a different path than you guys when we when we leave that's a good point you don't use the side door really but maybe danny it could be it depends on depends on where the car is parked if the car is parked too close to the bush then i go around see i always walk through the bush the bush is spiky though well i don't mind the spikes i do mind getting silked on all over my face and chest that's true okay i think it is a spider because it has happened to me before as well yeah i think it's just one spider
Starting point is 00:02:09 that we constantly keep ruining like they're like okay i'm gonna do it today i'm gonna make the big the big one are they gone and then we just walk right through it yeah it's like when you build a sandcastle too close to the ocean yeah i don't really understand how they do the first the first one they sit on it they walk all the way down it's a great question back up and then tighten it because the first one what is your question he's saying that the first one can only be vertical they start from the top and they fall down like spider-man oh like kissing mary jane like how How do you kiss Spider-Man? How do they do the side ones, I think he's asking, which I agree.
Starting point is 00:02:45 I think you need a couple long ones first. And you have, like, a structure. Then you start making a structure, or you get to, like, the branch. That's why they're, like, corners, because, you know, you can start in the middle, you get to corners. It's incredible, honestly. It is incredible. You ever draw spiderwebs as a kid? What?
Starting point is 00:03:00 It's pretty fire. It's just like a, you know. It's fun to draw. Oh, yeah. Speaking of, Spider-Man brand new day coming out this weekend. Does that matter at all? Also, it's out. Isn't it out?
Starting point is 00:03:11 don't do the pretty promo are they paying you this guy turned into such a movie like speaking of spiders perfect transition
Starting point is 00:03:20 who brought up spiders by the way who did it was it you was it you that brought up spiders too are you ready for a metamorphosis
Starting point is 00:03:27 I hate him speaking of the subathon ended yeah just get off his promo okay if brand new day
Starting point is 00:03:38 paid you sure you're allowed no they didn't pay me at all this guy did you even see the movie no I'm sure about a time this came out I did maybe what day is it
Starting point is 00:03:47 Sunday I might be singing right now Instagram and if you mess with me back be like I knew you text them I don't know no one believes you I don't I don't it's I actually have been realizing that I hate watching movies at home because sometimes I look at my phone just treat it like the movie theater i'll never look at my phone movie theater you know he extenuated that
Starting point is 00:04:18 s so hard at me i i do agree because i i when i watch a movie in my bed i have to like i just have to put my phone on the nightstand or something because otherwise i'll get distracted and be on my phone it's really you have to make a conscious effort i'll subway surf for it i'm too good it's too good the stuff on this phone is too good you're gonna miss stuff you miss details you figure it out you figure it out but the subathon 15 days so i wanted to thank everybody who watched donated spent days nights with us thank you so much also to the boys i mean i got good again at probably like a mini good three days and a real good five days later now i'm good i'm 100 now 100p i'm 100p what would you say was the worst well you got a you got a sore
Starting point is 00:05:04 throat yeah i was i was sick in between so my i would still say i'm like i'm on a 90 90 just 90 i thought there was gonna be another number but it's fine me too but then i went you know what you know what that's a percent i had some maybe maybe 80 maybe av maybe just call it 70 if you say 90 and then another number after to me like you're at 100 because like like if you're at 97 if you're 95 like what are you talking about like you're you're at 100 that last five it's not just a mindset yeah because like i i would say on any given day i don't wake up at 100 so i i would give danny this i feel like the last thing i would want after that 15 days is just a sore throat yeah no it was awful sore throats of all the sicknesses really make you
Starting point is 00:05:56 you know value and appreciate just life without illness oh my god you're so right were you laying in bed at any point going like god please being able to swallow was so nice i don't you you don't realize how often you swallow until you have a sore throat and you go holy shit it's like every 10 minutes every five minutes yeah i'd say way less way way fast i'd say it's at least once a minute yeah it's a minute way faster than that so it wasn't great but i got the sore throat spray All numbed up. You have it now? Nice.
Starting point is 00:06:24 What? I'm going to have it upstairs. Yeah. Okay. All right. Can I borrow that? Can me and Antonio borrow that? Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I was about to say, why do you need that? These guys. Don't these guys. These guys. These guys. This guy has throat numbing spray. It's like, why is it mint flavored? So at least now I'm not the only one who gets sick during subathons.
Starting point is 00:06:45 It has to taste like something. Does it? I think so. It's mint. It's just like a mint. it's a mint like nasal not nasal throat spray i don't know that has to make you taste less though right oh yeah you can't taste anything really so you can't even do it and then enjoy your food oh well when you have a sore throat enjoying food is off the table you're not you're not you're
Starting point is 00:07:11 barely eating you know what you know what's interesting that helps me with sore throat sometimes like a sugar drink for some reason i don't know what that is can someone tell me who knows more like like like water hurts when i drink um uh hello i was gonna say when i drink a sore throat water hurts when i drink on a sore throat but like a peach snapple won't or something i got lots of soup that helped yeah some oily soup and honestly you need it like just just a little bit hotter than you can even stand oh i think that helps i disagree completely no that's that's what i do i mean i did eat it pretty hot but bro irritating your throat even more there was one time i had just burned the sickness away death by fire i had a chicken wing one time that
Starting point is 00:07:52 had like chili flakes on it and i guess i fell asleep without fully swallowing one i and there was one just stuck in my throat i woke up yep i'm gonna need some clarification on that you fell asleep with a chicken wing still in your mouth a chili flake chili flake you don't use a chicken no i did not danny i i jason jason what did i say right i may have hallucinated the chicken Yeah, no, I fell asleep with a full chicken thigh in my throat. And I woke up and it hurt. That was my story. It didn't even matter.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Honestly, it doesn't even matter. You overshadowed your story by falling asleep with chicken in your mouth. No, your ears overshadowed my story. Where did the chili plate come from? I'm going to flip out. The chicken wing. The chicken wing. Okay, so we're on the same page.
Starting point is 00:08:32 No, it's like a shot. I'm made of chicken wings. No, look, if you had a sesame teriyaki chicken and I had a sesame seed in my throat, I'd be like, I didn't swallow the whole chicken wing. Chew your food. It's not chewing. it got stuck you never had something get stuck he has look at him he's sore throat i have to fight the urge to just like eat the soup and kind of just like spit it back into the
Starting point is 00:08:53 because because it hurts to swallow but it tastes so good and so like there was a brief moment where i had it in my mouth and i went i don't want to swallow this because i know it's going to be painful but like i have savored the flavor and i can just spit it back out now you found the infinite english that sounds like daddy's hell it sounds like hell it was awful yeah but yeah it goes away what about you i have wondered why like if you're on a diet how come just like like eating food chewing it and then spitting it out doesn't work like the swallowing is a very necessary part i think well first of all i think that would work i feel like it doesn't but my point is like for a diet like not a good one but you just wouldn't get the nutrients it has
Starting point is 00:09:38 get down there yeah but it wouldn't be enjoyable i think you think it would be um you gotta swallow for it to be enjoyable yeah there's something yeah oh good death that's too loud you gotta do like like you're wearing gloves no no that's a good death that's word to your mothers um you're saying something about something right sorry um so he he didn't recover well he's at no he's at the jt special he's at 43 percent what uh 70 we can call it and what about you How'd that go? I haven't seen Chaz. I want that to be said.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I haven't seen him. We ended on Friday. I needed a full weekend to recover. That's fair. I had like probably 600 to 800 milligrams of caffeine every day during the sub-a-thon. So I went cold turkey on that. That made me very tired. But I'm good now.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I needed a weekend of literally just laying in bed watching movies all day. Don't bring up movies, please. Sorry, my bad. It's like Danny Stark going, what movie did you watch? i saw his ears perk up and his nipples hard when i said movies do you think that i have the right i have the don't know you have no right here do you think i have the right to i was at a movie okay i was at a movie and some guy came in 20 minutes after it started and so i i was like thinking about alerting him like what what he missed essentially come on
Starting point is 00:11:03 The thing is, the movie that I was seeing, I would have leaned over to him and said, having sex is illegal outside for one night of the year. That was the premise of this movie. It's like The Purge, but opposite and sex, basically. And so for half the movie, I thought about saying it to this guy. He should know. Because they weren't repeating the premise. And I was like, he must be confused.
Starting point is 00:11:32 but I just decided not to say anything he's like why aren't these people just banging if they want to so bad because I decided not to say anything
Starting point is 00:11:38 because it was too weird of a premise to lean over and say like sex is illegal buddy two questions two questions yes
Starting point is 00:11:45 one were you in the movie by yourself yes got it two when he walked in did he come in by himself
Starting point is 00:11:50 no he was with a woman but he was sitting next to me you guys were alone in the theater and he sat right next to you no it was a packed theater
Starting point is 00:11:58 oh you were alone like you went alone oh yeah yeah and you were gonna lean over to him go like hey by the way i don't know what you're doing here but uh sex is illegal uh unless it's one day well that's part of the reason leave me alone i'm getting a handjob yeah sir it's like please yeah that's that's not illegal right now that's the thing i didn't know if he was gonna take that like if he would understand the context i also didn't know what like you just said sex is illegal
Starting point is 00:12:23 Sex is illegal here. Sex is illegal here. And it would be even weirder if I said sex is illegal except for one day. It's today. And I also didn't know the decibel level of like how weird is it to like low, like lowly whisper into someone's ear. Sex is illegal. That you've never met, by the way. And they also didn't ask for this information.
Starting point is 00:12:48 But I thought it was like my duty and I just couldn't enjoy the movie because I was like he has to know. i didn't tell him i didn't say anything he's just watching and he feels like like danny's hot and breath on his neck sex is illegal except for one day there was at least two times where i was like i can't do it it's like danny wants other people to enjoy the movie so bad to be right in his own like validation that he would just whisper into another person and i totally should have told them because like in the third act they repeat it and and i literally i swear this might have been in my head but i heard like the wife go oh like that was the bit the missing piece of this guy just
Starting point is 00:13:32 fired it at you that was the missing piece of information that they needed and i was too much of a coward to tell them that you were very cowardly also too if you heard a phantom oh that's it that's even crazy that make you regret not telling them i wish i told them bro what if they didn't say it he doesn't know if they actually did now he's making up things what they want honestly it's their fault because movies start 20 minutes late anyway because the previews yeah they showed up 20 they showed up 45 minutes late basically for the movie they were not there to watch the movie it's a pack theater or either that or sex is only legal in the theater for one night oh that's the movie that was the night wait sex is legal
Starting point is 00:14:13 or illegal for one night? Sex is legal. Well, sex outside of marriage is legal for one night only. It's the purge, but sex. The purge for single people? Yeah. How could you go into this movie
Starting point is 00:14:26 and not know that? Is that not like the whole thing? It is despicably not said enough in the trailer. It is not explained at all. I thought it was a movie about Valentine's Day. Like a funny joke,
Starting point is 00:14:39 like, oh, the one night sex is legal. So it does say it. yeah but not but but not like that you would you if when i went in i went oh that's the that's the movie now i have to ask you something important you know that sex is legal on other days not just valentine's day well i thought it was like a joke that they were making in the movie like oh it's the one night single people are legally allowed to have sex jta i'm gonna be completely honest with you it sounds like they do say the premise I wish we could watch the trailer right now.
Starting point is 00:15:11 And it's just all over it. I despise the trailer, so I went in thinking it was going to be a hate watch. But I actually like the movie. Do you despise trailers in general? No, just that one. No, just that piece of shit. Just that piece of shit. I feel like trailers ruin movies a little bit.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Some of them, the whole movie is on display. It's like, what are we doing here? And at least, if not the whole movie, at least the three or four peak moments are on display. Yeah. Yeah, trailers aren't brave enough to not do anything. Dude, sometimes for, like, the horror movies or just kind of more violent movies, like, you already know, oh, yeah, that guy's dead. I saw on the trailer, like, he gets hit by a thing. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:48 It's an art. Some people are good at selling it, you know? I mean, there's obviously a reason they do it. It's just a marketing thing. It's like, oh, this trailer, when you put this stuff in, people go to see it more. It's just how it goes. And it's also, you know, some people, they make, like, movies with a simple premise that then, like, becomes something cool. So they kind of have to tell you a little bit, like, oh, this is going to be cool.
Starting point is 00:16:07 eventually you just might not know it like having sex one time a year like having sex one time a year dude you know what you know what i found out uh today that happens did you ever hear of the of the margarita burn you ever hear that no you ever hear of a margarita burn no so apparently if you have lemon oh no sorry if you apparently if you have lime on your hands and you're in the sun too long it like causes it to burn oh like like 10 times the rate of like like fire burn oh like it blisters i can't i don't know if we're gonna put up pictures but i thought you were gonna say the salt and ice thing no dude like lime lime and sun that makes sense because i have heard that um can i see it that's just lime and i want to see this it's just lime and sun like you blister
Starting point is 00:16:56 yeah bro you blister bro there must be some kind of reaction because you know what my parents used to tell me like if you wanted highlights like danny's got kind of the uh what do they call this frosted tips frosted to be um like some people will just go to the beach and squeeze lemon on their hair and just let it be in the sun all day and then they have like blonde highlights that was the thing with blonde hair and uh chlorine pools no that turned it green green yeah and p oh isn't p green in pools they say and i've never seen it happen but people claim it oh like in the water park like it'll something like that i think that's a myth it's gotta be otherwise the whole pool would be green some pools they are green but yeah no it's called
Starting point is 00:17:37 a margarita burn there's some fancy names like endoskeletal complitus like kind of thing but careful when you're making margaritas on those beaches no that's crazy i did not know this at all that there's a citrus burn yeah there's a citrus burn also i mean i don't know how people are making margaritas but if you're just juicing limes out there you got to wash your hands first of all always wash your hands true yeah that's true imagine you made margaritas for everyone on the beach and then now you walk about it balloon hands and now you're drinking you forget about it boom drinking you forget about it wow that's crazy actually that's just something i learned the hard way would never be me because it's too sticky to keep on your hands
Starting point is 00:18:12 anyway so you gotta wash them off yeah danny's not gonna make anyone margaritas he's like can you serve me please oh please waiter i want to be served oh oh wait who's making margaritas oh Oh, I'll have three. Oh, there's only enough for four people? That's fine. Yeah, don't worry. That's okay. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:18:28 I'll drink them. This is ridiculous. This is word for word. This sounds like what Antonio wants. Absolutely. He wants a waiter to come margarita him. A waiter margarita him. You'd be a mojito guy.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Yeah, that's true. Mojito me. Mojito. Oh, limes though. Now they have to muddle. And there's limes. I think you're still in danger. Yeah, but they're like chunk limes.
Starting point is 00:18:47 It's like I'm not. Lime juice. Lime juice is lime juice. That's how you're going to get burned. Yeah, but I'm not drinking mojitos like this on my hands. That is also true. Why is that person's entire fist covered in lime juice? Well, we said if you made them, you squeezed it.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Yeah, if you make them, which Danny would never do. That's why he wouldn't know. Even if I made a margarita, my entire hand wouldn't be covered in lime juice. Then you cut them up, too. You cut them up, you squeeze them in. You'd be surprised after you make ten margaritas. It was the back of their hands. Why was the back of their hands?
Starting point is 00:19:14 Well, I think that's just what's always in the sun. I don't hang out like this. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Can you even sunburn your palms? I'm sure you can. It'd take a while. If I just lay down like this in the sun, sun me.
Starting point is 00:19:25 You can sunburn the bottom of your feet, so for sure. Dude, I had sunburn on the top. My feet once couldn't put on shoes. I cried. Didn't cry as bad as when I had sunburn on my shoulders. And I cried because I couldn't go to bed. I just sat up in my room crying. Sun poisoning?
Starting point is 00:19:38 You get the white bubbles? I don't think I got bubbles, but it was like right there. I know. You've had bubbles. Oh, yeah. Me too. Size of tennis balls. Oh, where?
Starting point is 00:19:46 Just got my back. How'd you get limes up there? Were they filled with Danny juice? Yeah, kind of. Ew! Ew! Yeah, they were gross. It was one of those sunburns where you're like,
Starting point is 00:19:56 I'll never get a sunburn ever again. And then I got, like, dozens afterwards. Yeah, yeah. Well, learning from your mistakes is not really a... It's not my MO. It's not. It's like the people who say, it's like, why don't we shoot?
Starting point is 00:20:07 The hungover people who say, I'm never drinking again. I feel like that's different because you don't get a fun experience from the sunburn. No, you do. Well, day at the beach. You get a day at the beach. He doesn't even go to the beach
Starting point is 00:20:21 It was a pool actually You said you don't like the beach right Yeah no It's just so much sand Oh my Anakin Skywalker Wow you knew that reference Bro I
Starting point is 00:20:31 This guy bringing up another movie Again the triggering Yeah I gotta stop Bringing up movies around this guy Have you seen Have you seen those Yeah of course Have you rated them on
Starting point is 00:20:39 No The video No No But yeah I don't know I think it's Sunburn is It's just a thing
Starting point is 00:20:49 It'll happen I mean, no one can disagree with that. I don't know what you're saying. You're saying nothing here. What a nonsense sentence. What a nonsense. The sun comes up in the morning, and it goes down after. By the time I'm old, they'll have a cure.
Starting point is 00:21:02 For sunburns. For sunburns. They already do. Skin cancer. Called sunscreen. Skin cancer, rather. That'd be more of the thing. You know, tunas, when they get caught, they get so agitated that they can start to cook
Starting point is 00:21:15 themselves from the inside. Huh? Yes. when you catch a tuna you have to stuff ice into it because it gets like so agitated and so like scared it'll cook itself from the inside and its muscles are working so hard that it just exactly and so you're and so you gotta you gotta ice your tuna some random fun facts for the day i appreciate that now when i've ever deep sea fishing and this this idiot doesn't know how to properly preserve a tuna i'll shove some ice because then
Starting point is 00:21:47 you you bring your prize tuna back to the dock and they go somebody's already cooked this somebody's already cooked this tuna you cooked it you idiot i saw the same video i don't mean antonio's algorithms are way too closely associated because none of my fun facts are fun nor maybe not even facts honestly it's a good thing for me to be here so i'm like no he said that one properly yep that's a fact like when he started he started to make up it's like oh yeah and then you have to put your foot in its mouth and then just to make sure it doesn't that was the next video you got into that was back into your personal yeah that's when it gets scary yeah i don't think i knew how big a tuna was until i was like 17 and i went there's there's fish that big brother
Starting point is 00:22:31 how big they are and then they swim dude how fast they are too yes oh my god i i'm not this is a dandy fact i don't know if he saw this video so we can't like cross confirm i'm pretty sure if they swim into you you just split in half just about asked that pretty literally about pretty sure if that was full speed you're you're toast i'm treading water yeah no ocean no life jacket no nothing full speed full speed gets into me yep probably a hole for me right i think you explore no they're big dude i think he's right i think you split in two i think i think you actually explode because i saw i saw another video so i you saw it yep the first time sunfish big sunfish oh i i saw a video of two killer whales with oh with the sunfish yes one of them
Starting point is 00:23:14 one of them was holding the fish for the other one and the other one swims into it and explodes it what does that do for them i i don't know but they were they were saying like this is the first time we've caught this practice like on video of like these whales basically hunting for fun i guess yeah it first of all does nothing to them could they eat it predators don't eat sunfish because It just tastes terrible. So they're just beating the shit out of it for fun? Well, that's terrifying. And it exploded.
Starting point is 00:23:40 It literally exploded when it went into it. It was crazy. Pink? Pink? Gray? Sunfish are gross, aren't they? Gray, I think. Yeah, it was in the water, so it's kind of hard to tell, but yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:51 It got exploded. It was crazy. Yeah. Imagine being in the water. Danny hasn't seen any original videos. I have not, apparently. We've seen them all. We've seen them all.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Well, Danny's in this Venn diagram of either I've seen it or you've seen it, so he's in his own little world. I'm sure I have some. that nobody's seen. Oh, I promise. I promise he does. The feet ones. I promise he does.
Starting point is 00:24:09 The feet ones. I promise he does. Ew. Well, I got a little something for today. How much time we got? We got like eight minutes. Okay, okay, okay, okay. We're going to be quick.
Starting point is 00:24:18 We really bury the lead with our titles. That's fine. That's good. That's good, yeah. That's how it works. What's that mean again? Never mind. Hiding something in plain sight?
Starting point is 00:24:27 Yeah, meaning just like, you know, like the title will probably be this bit of the podcast. Oh, actually, I just realized it's not burying the lead. that is burying the lead this because we're not leading off with this we're burying it how deep are you burying it's a great question 26 minutes into the you know honestly burying leads a great example of a oh idiom an idiom yes exactly an idiom or an expression you just call them a mean word no no no um so idioms okay today i've taken uh idioms or expressions sayings if you will from other languages
Starting point is 00:25:03 directly translated them and you guys are going to guess what they mean. So like an idiom in English is bury the lead or... One in the mouth is worth two in the bush. A bird in the mouth is worth two in the bush. Something people say every day.
Starting point is 00:25:19 A beer in the mouth, sorry. Everyone says that. Let's see if you... Do you think if you translated that people would know what you mean? A bird in the mouth is worth two in the bush. Is that it? I don't know the language.
Starting point is 00:25:33 you would translate and how many stones does it take to kill one stone yeah no half a stone no but one bird is two stones nope no two no yeah you had no one stone two birds two birds with no two birds one stone so that bird's half a stone yeah that made sense what i said right yeah i think so i would say so oh hell yeah okay here's your first one you ready and you guys can work together oh so in norway they might say there's an owl in the bog what do you think that means let's get some deeper meaning here so a bog is like a swampy yeah swamp and an owl supposed to be wise so maybe it's like hey even that even that smart guy got his foot stuck in the bear trap danny doesn't like that answer all right so there's a bog and there's an owl
Starting point is 00:26:21 What does the owl mean? Why can't it be a pigeon? Well, owls are nocturnal. Okay. So there's an owl in the bog. Why? So now it's a swamp at night. Bogs exist in the daytime.
Starting point is 00:26:33 I want that to be clear. Yes. All right, think about it like this. Picture, you know, there's a bog. It's like a swamp, and there's even that murky fog over it. You know what I'm saying? I'm saying from it, you hear, whoo. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:48 I'm like, oh, there's a person in there. What do you think now? I'm picturing the owl in the bog up to its head, and then the head's just like spinning around. Does that help? We're looking for the meaning of the expression. What do you think that expression means? There's an owl in the bog. An owl in the bog worth two in the tree.
Starting point is 00:27:06 How many bushes? An owl in the bog. Maybe it's just – I don't know what it could possibly mean. Think about it. It's not a rabbit in the bog. It's not a frog in the bog. Why not? It's not a dog in the bog.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Well, because this thing is smart and can fly, and for some reason, it's in this shitty bog. Now you're getting it. I think. I think it's like... You guys haven't given an answer yet, by the way. What do you mean? I guess I did.
Starting point is 00:27:33 You did. It wasn't right, but... I think it's like... Don't give my answer. If you judged a goldfish by how tall it could climb a tree, it'd do pretty bad. How tall it could climb a tree? Yeah, very close. i think let's let's think of it more like there's a goldfish ah well what's it doing in a tree and
Starting point is 00:27:54 look i'm looking at that goldfish it's a goldfish i'm saying you're taking things to uh you're trying to extrapolate too much okay all right i'm looking at a goldfish if you were if you were really a wise owl you wouldn't be in this fucking you're just extrapolating way too much i think you guys are really close for it there's this what he said there was a owl spit in his head like a propeller? I'm saying it means you're dumb and you found yourself
Starting point is 00:28:18 in a bog. You should be wise and you're dumb and now you're in a bog. It basically it means that like like something's sus
Starting point is 00:28:25 or like trouble's brewing like something's things are things are Because there's an owl in the bog. Yeah. And that's weird.
Starting point is 00:28:32 But it's an owl. Now we're saying now we're generalizing all owls are sus? They're a little creepy. Yeah, they're definitely sus and creepy. What country is that from?
Starting point is 00:28:41 Norway. Not a fan of the Norwegians? no honestly that would scare me I guess there's an owl in the bog I think it's a good tale of caution even the one that could fly could get stuck maybe I could get stuck don't moan at me alright let's do the next one
Starting point is 00:28:55 by the way a lot of these that one and the next one are from the discord how do you get into the discord by the way oh JT patreon.com slash picky boys what was that 2300 patrons get in there yes we're very close yeah I literally asked people
Starting point is 00:29:12 who have lived in other countries in the Discord. I asked them for some expressions and this is what they gave us. So next one is also it's from a picky person in Slovenia or Slovakia? I can't remember.
Starting point is 00:29:28 You wrote these down? Yeah. Got it. But thank you. So and there they would say bread in one hand, a rock in the other. Oh.
Starting point is 00:29:39 That's like deception. It's like, which one do I take a bite out of? Oh, no. I thought it meant like, you know, like a gift in one hand and a dagger in the other. Oh, it's like I offer you bread. Oh, you grab the bread. I hit you with the rock. Then I bonk you?
Starting point is 00:29:54 Exactly. Don't trust. Don't trust the, don't trust. Don't trust the whole 303. Yes. You guys, you guys pretty much got it. This is like a two-faced person. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Because he's going to hit me with the rock? Yeah, it's like, I mean. What if he hits me with the bread? It's exactly what he said. It's right. You got a gift here and a dagger behind you. Two-faced person. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:30:15 That was one of the easier ones, probably. Oh, don't. I ruined your high five. Let's do another Slovak one. Don't know if I'm saying it right. Just say Slav. No, no, just you should say this. Whatever one you didn't say the last time, make this one that one so you can hit both.
Starting point is 00:30:33 But then you're guaranteed being wrong. But you're guaranteed being right. You weren't good at taking tests. That's a bread in the hand and a bush in the rock. Very close. Actually, that's the saying. You do that. So this one is, the witch is getting fussy.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Oh. Fussy wussy. The witch is getting fussy. Yeah, what do you think that means? It's an expression they might say on any given day. Oh, the witch is getting fussy. I feel like this is two bad ones. They'd be like, you're going to be a witch and you're going to complain?
Starting point is 00:31:02 Something like that? Maybe it's like. Or the witch is like the mom or something. or like the wife like it's not it has nothing to do with a witch it's like what you just
Starting point is 00:31:13 like a like a bad condescending term for like somebody no maybe it's like as the full moon fades
Starting point is 00:31:22 like her as the full moon that's a werewolf as the full moon fades like this this person who I once thought
Starting point is 00:31:30 was a beautiful young woman is now revealing herself to her true colors which is an old decrepit witch i'm trying to think of how to give you guys a hint on this one and i can't i can't say he's wrong that could be right it's not even close i think he combined werewolves and witches there
Starting point is 00:31:48 they don't do it under the the moonlight it's werewolves no but they can become beautiful again i think that they have to suck blood or something no it's vampires oh you watch it's a book no one's seen that movie but uh give us a clue no one's heard of that movie but what I'm trying to – honestly, I'm trying to give you a clue. Here's the issue. So a lot of these – The witch is fussy. A lot of these expressions, we actually have identical expressions in English.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Obviously, like, totally different words. But we have an identical meaning. Is this like my tummy's hungry? Bro, this one, we would just say. Or maybe it's just like – She's being a bitch. Watch out. She's very powerful.
Starting point is 00:32:23 It's not about a person. It's not about a person. It's more about, like – The weather. Oh, the rain. Rain. Something. Rain.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Storm. Storm. Storm. Yeah, that's exactly what it is. It's like a storm's coming. which is getting fussy honestly that kind of sucks yeah we don't
Starting point is 00:32:38 that's what I was going to say we don't have like an we would just literally say a storm's coming the devil's beating something nope that's a sun shower it's about weather
Starting point is 00:32:46 I guess so we also have it's raining cats and dogs also I've never heard anyone say that but I know people do I've heard people do wait what does
Starting point is 00:32:53 what does it say I didn't want to say the whole thing yeah it's alright what about this one this is French so in France they might say
Starting point is 00:33:01 the carrots are cooked what do you think it's done oh like beating a dead horse they're good they're cooked stop cooking them oh i like that well put a fork in it it's done like that is it like literal like oh it's over it's done not over that's like it's just done yeah the ink is dry the carrots are cooked exactly ink is ink is dry is a perfect translation now put a fork uh put put a fork in it apparently it's a loot what does that even mean it just means the situation can't the situation can't be changed that's what it means but you can't uncook a carrot you could burn a carrot if i eat a carrot it's not cooked no more it's gone change the situation it's not true it's not true
Starting point is 00:33:42 at all it's kind of oh all right i actually don't know you might be right about that but uh so and apparently it's more used like uh it's crying over spilt milk so i think they might say it when you're like complaining a little bit the carrots are cooked yeah the carrots are cooked but it's it's like the ink is dry so also crying over spilled milk i feel like it's fine oh it's spilled milk yeah i'm not gonna cry over my carrots i'll just eat them they're cooked at least the spilled milk yeah but the spilled milk's not in the glass it's spilled i can't even drink the milk at least the carrots i can eat them oh you can go get another gallon so you have to go get another gallon i mean i feel like it's a little high it depends i feel like i feel like
Starting point is 00:34:26 that made sense there for a second what about this one this is thai so in thailand they might say careful just why are you smiling no it's a funny it's honestly it's a funny one uh the hen sees the snake's feet and the snake sees the hen's boobs see he's smiling too he's laughing the hen sees the snake's feet wait no yes no snake doesn't have feet exactly well the hen doesn't have boobs i didn't even think it has breasts no you're right wait say it again the hen sees the snake's feet and the snake sees the hen's boobs feels like a sex thing i do i didn't even i did when i wrote this i wrote this down i didn't even consider the snake uh not having feet oh so so maybe the hen is seeing things on the snake that aren't there like like green flags or
Starting point is 00:35:19 red flags but the snake's just looking at tits yeah i was thinking about like different vantage points you see things that you know you might not otherwise see okay you said yeah and then you didn't really agree with what i said you kind of just said your own thing i think um both let's say the boobs and the feet both of them are things that other people don't see and yeah do not know that they have right i didn't know i didn't i didn't know hens have boobs i've never seen a hen with boobs and i've never seen a snake with feet so was i close well you made me think about it more when you said that oh i mean and you're like i would say you're halfway there with what you said before but it's a little bit of a different uh connotation he's
Starting point is 00:36:04 not close like you what did you say before they see things that aren't there yeah not not that in each other twice no you were like that's what i said no no no i said that no you were talking I said red flags, green flags. We're talking about the snake sexualizing the hen in some way. That's a bit closer, like red flags, green flags. That's what I said. And then you piggybacked off me and you just said different angles. No, I said just like different, like, you know, you see different things and different people even if they're not there.
Starting point is 00:36:29 It's not about seeing. It's more about knowing. So does this? Oh, like secrets. It's secrets. Boom. That's it. It's saying like, it's saying these two people know each other's secrets.
Starting point is 00:36:41 So like you guys, you probably see Danny's boobs and he sees your feet. which means you're a snake and you're a chicken Danny actually doesn't have breasts I mean I've got breasts no Danny's body's like notorious like
Starting point is 00:36:52 he doesn't really get boobs he has this multiple yeah it's true like he doesn't get boobs he has too much testosterone he has pretty formed uh
Starting point is 00:36:59 uh breast-esses bosoms chesticles chesticles thank you that's the proper technical term and you have feet
Starting point is 00:37:06 I have feet yeah who knew I do have feet who knew do you have one more and we'll get out of here I have a bunch more
Starting point is 00:37:13 we can do one though let me let me look real quick and pick a good one what what's your favorite culture i'll pick from that do you have that i have a lot i have a lot but i don't have every every culture i'm just joking give me an italian one you got an italian one this one's easy let's do this real quick i do not have any in italian i have portuguese is portuguese close enough yeah sure all right so in portuguese uh the literal translation is pay the duck um i'm gonna try to i'll try to say it in a way that i think
Starting point is 00:37:47 it would be used i'm not portuguese i don't speak it but i think are you giving it i think they would say like oh yeah danny uh danny paid the duck for that one i think that's how they would say it maybe it's like pay the piper that's where i went first i don't think it's that though it is like that but different so what's pay the piper what's that mean i don't know see i think peter is like like face the music yeah yeah there you go so it's like you're the duck quack so think of it's close to that but it's a kind of the opposite in a way but it's very i know this is so speaking in upside down speaking in let me say in portuguese so you're getting something that you don't deserve maybe or you know danny was climbing a tree and he fell he's like i paid
Starting point is 00:38:33 the duck for that no i think that'd be more like paying the piper i think the piper danny was climbing it's like i was climbing a tree and i fell on somebody they paid the duck because i'm the dumb duck no you were closer before okay danny went up to go get his keys and then when he got his keys his house exploded paid the duck for that one no it's more like uh his car it's more like if he if what did you say before you were closer i'm climbing a tree no no so so he said pay the piper face the music what is that pay the piper face the music it's kind of like uh you're it's kind of like the you got what you deserve yeah your actions have consequences kind of okay this one what if what if it's like that but uh maybe let's say it wasn't your actions
Starting point is 00:39:24 your inactions have consequences no it wasn't your actions it was like someone else's actions but someone was walking by and knocked over danny's beer i'm just gonna say it It's essentially like taking the blame for something you didn't do Or like getting the hit Or like taking the fall So like you paid the duck Like Danny paid the duck Antonio spilled his beer
Starting point is 00:39:45 And then Danny told the waiter Like he did and he had to clean it up I don't know why you're cleaning your own messes at this restaurant First of all he would never do that So you're the fall guy I didn't say it was realistic Yeah he would never do that Clean up a beer?
Starting point is 00:40:00 No not that Oh, okay. You would clean up a beer. Yeah. If JT knocked over his beer, you would never take the blame from the waiter. You'd be too embarrassed. You'd be like, no, I didn't do anything. He cleaned it.
Starting point is 00:40:10 That's true. I would never pay your duck. I would never pet your duck. Also, Danny did pay the duck because at our dinner after the Sun's out on Friday, Antonio did spill wine everywhere, and then he did blame it on Danny. But Danny didn't pay the duck well because he immediately went, it wasn't me, it wasn't me. He's just not going to pay a duck.
Starting point is 00:40:29 I'm not going to pay a duck, especially when I have some dumb duck who actually did it. See? Some thumb duck? Some dumb duck who quacked around and spilled all our wine. This guy's got double D on him. Good for you. Well, now if you guys go to these countries, now you can, like, they'll be impressed. You know what I'm expressing.
Starting point is 00:40:47 I don't know if I'm going to use pay the duck. That's going to be a little tough. Yeah, I don't even know. Also, Danny moved his glass, so it was really his fault, if you really think about it. JT, why don't you tell them where to find you? Let's get out of here. You can find me on Instagram at TheJBalls.
