Starting point is 00:00:00 I don't want to go anymore. That's where you would draw the line. What kings do you think a tiger would have? I think a daddy king. That's not what I'm saying. Wait, does every cherub have a love bow? Bo Burnham did cause a very awkward situation for me, though. But when you look out the windshield, you can totally see fine.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Yeah, they have those with glasses, too. Welcome back to the podcast of the summer. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. It's hot boy summer. I got my floaties. It's white boy summer. It's white boy summer if you're Chet Hanks, and it's just the whoring, you know, the whoring 20s.
Starting point is 00:00:35 The whoring. It's going to be an absolute banger of a summer. Absolute banger of a summer. I think everybody agrees with that. And Memorial Day just happened, unofficial start. Yeah. So when is it actually? June 1st?
Starting point is 00:00:45 Is that when it starts? No, it's like June. June 21st. Oh, summer's not until June 21st? Yeah, I think so. That's the summer equinox. Right, the hottest day or the longest day or the... Same way of winter is not until December 21st,
Starting point is 00:00:58 but like December 1st, there'd be two feet of snow. Yeah, you could have pounds, pounds, pounds of snow. Pounds of snow. Yeah, but this is the, in terms of, you know, the summer that everybody celebrates, the unofficial summer, that starts Memorial Day and ends Labor Day. It's also because we're like lagged this summer, you know?
Starting point is 00:01:15 It's like double summer. Exactly. I mean, we have so much to celebrate. I would definitely want to have a party because everybody joked about this on Twitter during the pandemic, we should definitely have a party where we celebrate every lost holiday
Starting point is 00:01:30 in one day. That is an interesting idea, definitely. Oh, it's amazing. I mean, we deserve it, frankly. Yeah. They were all ruined. You know, we're not getting greedy. We're not getting greedy.
Starting point is 00:01:42 It's just we're putting in one day. One day. We're not asking for any extra holidays. We really would need a week to celebrate. No, actually, now you're getting greedy. Your own holidays. Now you're getting greedy. One day.
Starting point is 00:01:50 I say they would give it to us if we matched it on one day. Put it on like a Wednesday and let work, like every job, say, all right, no anything that day. No school, no work, no shoe shining. What are we calling it? It's just an amalgamation of, it's an acronym for all the- It would probably have to be an acronym.
Starting point is 00:02:06 It can't be like St. Patton Times. It's just your holiday. It's like your holiday, what is it called when you get money back from the IRS? Your rebate? Yeah, refund rebate. It's your holiday rebate. We deserve this. We deserve it.
Starting point is 00:02:21 We deserve this. put in so much to get for this reward. Yeah, truly. And you can show up dressed as whatever holiday. Whichever one is your favorite. So really just throw in like a white girl birthday party. Did they do that?
Starting point is 00:02:36 You ever see all these things on TikTok where they're like, oh, we're playing beer pong, everyone comes as a different category? Oh no, those are like themed parties, which by the way, we should all it shouldn't just be for white girls. We should all start doing themed parties. Themed parties are so fun. yeah and you know i like that they tell each uh couple or person a different theme so it just
Starting point is 00:02:54 looks like a like the a theme explosion yeah so it's exactly so we can we can tell every person that's invited to come as a specific holiday yeah yeah and then you know they they'll be responsible for kind of you know pushing what what has to happen on their holiday i i yeah yeah and i was like just in terms of summer i i realized i don't know how you drop my memory this i had a really hot take at memorial day weekend and i don't a lot of my family members didn't really agree with me so i so like because i'm wearing these floaties right i know there's a lot of people that can't swim but for me i i just said i said like anybody who's over 25 and it and i agree and is put in the middle of a pool and can't make it to the edge and has to be saved should probably
Starting point is 00:03:39 not exist anymore or their bloodline should not go on i agree my family did not like that hot take but I'll stick by it because I didn't know there were a bunch of non-swimmers. That was my hot take. I disagree because you can just learn to swim. Right, and you should have already. You should have learned. I'm saying if I have to save a 30-year-old man who's in the middle of a pool. Eight feet away from the edge.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I'd be like, you know what? I'd be a little hesitant to reach out my hand or get one of those sticks. And that's why you were just not accepted into the lifeguard program. I did not pass the psychology exam of that test. Can we talk about how- What do you mean I got to save this guy? Yeah, it's like, he can't swim. He can't even swim.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Why would I save him? They don't make these for adults. He's supposed to know how to swim. They definitely do. They do. He's supposed to know how to swim. Why would I save him? That's the whole point of a lifeguard.
Starting point is 00:04:28 No, you save kids and people who are hit and hit their- If I was 50 or 40 or 30 and I jumped in the pool and I hit the bottom of my head and I'm knocked out, that's where my psychology kind of gets into place. I'm like, oh, look, he can't swim, but he's just knocked out. That's different. I'll save that guy. By the way.
Starting point is 00:04:44 You're not allowed to be a lifeguard. I was a lifeguard. You would be astonished, or maybe not. Maybe you realize how people are dumb already, but you'd be astonished how many people will jump in a pool that don't know how to swim. And they know they don't know how to swim, and I think they just go, I'll figure it out.
Starting point is 00:05:00 And they just jump in and start drowning. And then they call out for sexy JT up in his big tower. I'll tell you why. It's because people like you are like, just jump in. You'll figure it out. No, that's not what I'm saying. I know, but first, that's what a lot of people say. That's true.
Starting point is 00:05:15 That is true. That's how they teach babies to swim. No, no, no. That's how my grandfather taught me. That's the issue. That's why I got to save people who are drowning. If you know you don't know how to swim, why are you trying to swim? Because I don't go to try to fly planes if I don't have a pilot's license.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I think it's because a lot of people say, oh, you'll learn how to swim. It's a natural reaction. You've never heard one person say that? You've never heard one person say that? Just jump in. You'll figure it out. Your body will do it. No, literally never.
Starting point is 00:05:41 You've never heard that? That's crazy. Oh, no, that's happened to me. My grandfather, when I was a child, threw me in the deep end of my pool, and I was sitting at the bottom crying, and then some gracious hand came in and pulled me out by my trousers, and I was like, thanks, Grandpa. Grandpa's like, should have let him drown. He needs to learn.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Yeah, he's got to learn. He needs to learn. Sink or swim, baby. That is a very popular view. I'm like, you can just figure it out, because people think that they can, but they can't. Yeah. No, I agree. And also, I mean, the lifeguards that I know, there must be a very low bar because not many
Starting point is 00:06:15 of them, I wouldn't trust my life with most of the people that I know who are lifeguards. The bar is on the floor. The bar is underneath the water. I believe you could probably have saved someone, but dude, a lot of these lifeguards, I feel like we talked about this before, a lot of these lifeguards are, what, 14, 15? I think we did talk about this, and I think we actually got some flack for it. I feel like there were a lot of people in our comments, a lot of lifeguards, who were Like, I was a lifeguard, and I helped save five people.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Oh, you mean you were an 80-pound, 4'11", person, like, woman who couldn't save a 30-year-old man? I'll stick by that. I don't think I probably, probably can't. No, no, dude. Okay, they have, like, they got floats and stuff. They got the inner tubes. They can, you just, to be a lifeguard, to save someone's life who's drowning, all you need is, like, above-average swimming skills and the right gear.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Yeah. That's it. And this is more. It's not a crazy job. And this is more, we're talking about, like, pool talk, right? But anybody who's a lifeguard at a pool, we're not talking about that. You could probably save anybody from a pool drowning. But in the lifeguard lifeguard, you know, like the pro lifeguard app,
Starting point is 00:07:18 where you have to go in the ocean, it's a little scarier. That's all I'm saying. I could be wrong, but I think it's a harder certification. Yeah, I was talking about pool lifeguards, that half of them are useless. They just whistle and tell you not to run. That's their job. I mean, I've heard firsthand. Somebody was like, oh, yeah, I would just always watch on my phone Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Oh, yeah. This person showed up drunk. Drunk as a lifeguard. And we said, what about the people? There's people swimming in there. And he said, they'll be fine. They'll be fine. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Immense respect. Immense respect to ocean lifeguards. You have to deal with riptide, sharks, of course. Giant squids. We're calling pool lifeguards useless. Yeah, harpoon gun. Yeah, harpoon gun. Defend the people.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah, but I feel like we didn't make that distinction. that's why we got flagged and people were like crossing no i think those people who are commenting we're still pool lifeguards ah ah it's an important job you know it's just uh they they they want to feel important which you know who we all do we we all want to feel important we all want to feel part of a club like or something exclusive club that's what um that's why have you seen this like there's a huge trend right now of speakeasies i feel like it's been yeah during like like it's like everybody's everybody's so into the speakeasy it's like oh this is in the basement of a five guys and like this one and this one is in you know a bowling alley but you have to knock three times
Starting point is 00:08:41 yeah it's like that's even though it's just fake exclusivity it makes you feel good yeah but i will say i saw a tiktok and they're getting a little ridiculous i can't they're getting a little like what one was just in somebody's basement yeah like it was in a home it was like so you have to knock on his door, say the password, and go into the basement. And then he'll serve you an array of cocktails. You have to feed his dog and do his laundry, and then he'll serve you a beer. Yeah, did you just get kidnapped?
Starting point is 00:09:09 Yeah, it's like, are you willingly getting kidnapped? How far are we going to take these things? Yeah, I feel like that's a real speakeasy. It's like New York's newest speakeasy is in you have to dig up a grave. Say the secret password and the corpse will open. And then he'll hand you
Starting point is 00:09:25 a map. Exactly. Follow the map. These are getting ridiculous. I'll tell you what. After I was handed the shovel in the cemetery, I'd be like, you know what? I don't want to go anymore. That's where you would draw the line. Yeah, I think that's where I'd draw the line. What?
Starting point is 00:09:36 You think he'd tell me, oh, no, we got to go to a cemetery first? No, we'd show up and be like, all right, here's the shovel. Everyone start digging. True. And if you just did that. Guys, no, there's $1 beers, dude. We got to go. I've been here before.
Starting point is 00:09:48 It doesn't smell that bad. No, I mean, you know, and I get it. Like I said, it's part of the exclusivity. So you're going to tell me, like that exact thing, right? you had to like straight up this you had to go dig there's a math and you go somewhere else you i think you would go i mean i think i don't think i would oh that was just a joke i know but now now i'm thinking about it i think that's i i don't think it would i don't i don't want to grave rob anybody in hopes that i can find a subpar bar you get that it's like no no dude it
Starting point is 00:10:16 was steven something not robert we have to dig the guy over there and then i'd really be upset yeah i mean it's a genius business model because you can also get away with the bar being shittier because it's like you know it's supposed to be no but i feel like the point is it's supposed to be the opposite of that like it's like the point of entry is supposed to look like crappy or not like a bar but then the speakeasy itself is like a great bar i thought that's how it's supposed to go well that those are like again those are like these are like the new trendy ones potentially it's like that but a real speakeasy i think you're supposed it's supposed to look you know it's supposed to just get alcohol
Starting point is 00:10:53 that's what it is it's a place where you're supposed to hide from the cops and drink alcohol the one I went to two weeks ago was there's no it was out on Long Island there's not like a sign
Starting point is 00:11:09 or anything which is very cool to these people and then there was just a big wall and doorknobs all over it and you have to guess which one to open the door and get in. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:24 What happens if you guess the wrong one? Do you have multiple guesses? You just have to keep trying. Oh, yeah, you got to just keep trying? This was the front door. The front side of the building was just a wall with maybe 30, 40 doorknobs on it, and you have to keep trying until you get the right one.
Starting point is 00:11:39 And then, boom, the door. That's great. I would think there's one entry, a turn, but the rest are like electric zappers. And then if you get zapped, the guy comes out I'd be like, oh, you can't get in. Obviously, you're not part. You don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:51 Each one that you try and fail adds a dollar to your cover charge. That's a good one. That's actually how I knew. That's a good one. I knew a speakeasy that did that. They would essentially, they had like a text line, and sometimes they'd do it with like secret social media posts where they'd hide a word within the text that was the secret word.
Starting point is 00:12:11 And if you have the secret word, you can get it for free. But if you didn't, you had to pay a $10 cover. Right. And if it's the doorknob thing, the regulars, they're all paying nothing because they know which doorknob it is. They're all the time.
Starting point is 00:12:21 But now the newcomer has got to pay up. Yeah, exactly. And if you're the guy who's guessing it on the 40th knob, just don't pay and go home. Just go home.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Try again tomorrow. Try again tomorrow. You could also really prop up another business in the front just by having a speakeasy there. Like one of the most popular speakeasies in all of New York City is called Please Don't Tell
Starting point is 00:12:43 and it's in the basement of a hot dog shop. and it's so popular that there's always like a two hour wait and so that hot dog shop just drives like an unbelievable amount
Starting point is 00:12:55 of business because people are just like well might as well get a hot dog and wait and that's that's good business that's a good plan
Starting point is 00:13:02 that's good business that's good business do you guys remember when these fucking sunglasses were a thing yeah Kanye West these stupid stupid things
Starting point is 00:13:11 in the weeks and heartbreaks that era I can't believe what were we doing does it do any does it block the sun at all no it's literally like shutter shades
Starting point is 00:13:17 right it blocks the haters it blocks it blocks your vision it doesn't it doesn't it this is the worst thing i think we've ever ever come out of something whatever is this well i mean you'll never see them anymore i think i think everybody agreed can you guys see it on camera it does light up though that's pretty cool yeah i had a pair when i was in like seventh grade and i thought i was very very very cool i just don't know what we were doing because this thing is just the worst I feel like this is fairly summer A little ravey Ray-Bans by the way and other brands
Starting point is 00:13:49 I think You guys all these people who spend $300 I think you're an idiot a little bit Also you do you King but I think you're an idiot Dude I bought a 274 Those first and last Ray-Bans I ever bought
Starting point is 00:14:05 Aviators pink shades Super douchey super nice though Beautiful Ray-Bans Left them at a pool bar literally I walked out of the pool bar got to the car we're like oh shit
Starting point is 00:14:16 my sunglasses walked back in gone gone it's like that could only be an employee that could only be an employee too
Starting point is 00:14:23 right like that's too quick that's like the waitress lifting up your bottles and putting it in I'd say 50-50 alright I'll take 50-50 I'll take 50-50
Starting point is 00:14:30 definitely could have been an employee I'll take 50-50 I think that's something you go when you're like did you see him they go
Starting point is 00:14:35 and then you call they're just like oh yeah I was gonna bring him to the lost and found yeah that's weird they're on your face buddy
Starting point is 00:14:40 there's definitely a reason to buy them like the reason that I used to buy them is strictly because the only sunglasses that you're allowed
Starting point is 00:14:50 to put prescription in are the ones that they sell at the retailers which are all the name brands so you're essentially forced into buying them
Starting point is 00:14:56 if you want prescription sunglasses right but that's clearly like a little different yeah that's a little different but
Starting point is 00:15:02 and then after that I was like let's just buy I'm just gonna buy contacts and then buy shitty sunglasses Oh, I mean, I totally agree with you.
Starting point is 00:15:12 I might as well buy a $5 pair of sunglasses. Dude, not even that, dude. It doesn't have to be $5. If you want to go nice, you can buy like $40, $50 ones. But I just think spending $300, I think you're dumb. See, the problem is if you want the UV protection, it's probably going to be a little more. If you want them to work as sunglasses, it's going to be a little more. But really, dude, I would just go on Amazon.
Starting point is 00:15:29 There's like $20. You get 20 sunglasses, all different gradient shades. Fantastic. I feel like that is also understated. People don't realize that, like, sunglasses are, like, you're supposed to wear them because they protect your eyes. Yeah, they're meant for something. Like, the sun is very harmful to your eyes. But people, you know, like them because of fashion.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Do you guys ever got thrown up on at an amusement park or, like, thrown up on a ride, actually? No. Iron guts out here? No. I got thrown up on in first grade, but that's it. Like, on a ride or just some kid went, hey, cool. Dude, you know in class, like every week, one kid would throw up for no reason when you're in first grade.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And this girl next to me threw up all over me. Dude, one of our friends. I think they said that's how girls let you know that they like you when you're that age. They make you throw up? No, they throw up on you. Oh, it was a girl that threw up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:20 We had a friend that was, I think it was fourth grade, who was so nervous about asking out this girl, also in fourth grade, that he had to literally run out of the room without asking for permission. like he had to run, didn't make it, put his hand to try to cover it, and the holes that his hand made made it shoot out like waterworks everywhere. Did he ask her out?
Starting point is 00:16:40 She said no, I think. She said no. She said no after that display. I think he was on a good run, but after the throw up, it was over. You should have learned the rule. The girl has to throw up on you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:48 You can't throw up on the girl. Basic chivalry. Put something in her. This is basic chivalry. Yeah, put something in her juice box. When tigers urinate on a rock to show that they've been there so that the partner comes to that rock and waits.
Starting point is 00:17:00 you ever watch planet earth so when i thought it was like a weird like jungle book or something oh no that is true all right the snow leopard will piss on a rock because it has scents and then the mate will come to that rock and the snow right be like so they got piss kinks snow you see piss in the jungle you know like this is like this is a big cat mating spot and now i'm the mate so we got to get the hell out of here yeah yeah that'd be terrifying yeah tigers do have piss kings you said snow leopards and then tigers oh sorry sorry sorry sorry tigers have piss kings too danny danny knows that from firsthand leopards have piss kings tigers have i don't know i mean dogs they're daddies what do you think excuse me what do you think tigers are with leather like
Starting point is 00:17:41 what kink do you think leather would be i mean tiger would be what's happening would you stay on one animal what what kings do you think a tiger would have let's go to daddy king let's Go through the kinks of the big cats. So we've established that. And definitely a scratch in the back, right? Yeah. Well, the leopard is a piss kink, obviously. We're going to assume that all of them have scratching kinks.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Okay, that's fair. Maybe the tiger likes ball gags or something. They just shove a rock in their mouth. And then lions. Lions, fur, something with fur. Well, I think it's like... Hair pulling, right? I think it's probably like a hair thing.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Oh, yeah, hair pulling is the main, dude. Why do you think they got all that beautiful hair? And they got a nice tail. But then they're like a king of the jungle, so maybe it's like a dominatrix type situation. Yeah, like a squire kind of thing. What is that? Like king to what?
Starting point is 00:18:34 Like what would that be? King to servant? Like a servant king? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like subservient. Yeah, we got some kinky animals out here. Yeah. Let's hear David Attenborough talk about that.
Starting point is 00:18:45 The kinks of the big cats. Like the whole animal kingdom, man. It's got a lot of fucking, like, the whole sex in Animal Kingdom varies greatly. Because, like, some animals, there's no sex. There's an octopus who mates by, like, cutting off his penis and using it and then he leaves. That exact noise. Underwater. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:05 He takes off his own penis, inserts it, and, like, leaves. And just, that's, you know. Does it grow back? Or does he have one chance? It grows back. Oh, thank God. Okay. He has multiple swords.
Starting point is 00:19:15 I thought he only had one shot. But as everybody knows, the seahorse, the father, is the one who gets him pregnant. Is that the only animal where the dad gives the babies? It's the only one we know about. Burts the babies? Unlucky, really. I feel like because it's the only one that we know about, I feel like it's the only one it probably is. Or else we would know about the other.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Because that's a random-ass animal, the seahorse. Yeah, it's like, how do you even observe that? Not a horse at all, by the way. But it has horse-like features. It just has a long face. It has a, and then it has a... If anything, it looks way more like a dragon. Yes.
Starting point is 00:19:46 It looks like a Pokemon. Yeah. But I could see the horse-iness. Dragons look like lizards. Dragons look like... Or lizards look like dragons, really. Dragons definitely existed, I think. I'm going to die on that.
Starting point is 00:20:01 I think dragons existed. There was definitely some flying thing. I don't think it breathed fire. Well, yeah, yeah. But I think dragons existed. I like to think so. I like to think they were hiding some treasure. It seems like the kind of animal that couldn't die.
Starting point is 00:20:13 True. Yeah, but like alligators, dude. Alligators don't die. They're immortal. They get so big that they can't. I think he's saying they wouldn't have gone extinct. I'm saying they would, yeah. I'm saying they wouldn't have gone extinct.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Which, again, alligators didn't. Right. I mean, they can fly. Even if... If every advantage is possible. They can fly. They are fire resistant. Yeah, but what if we were just hunting them down?
Starting point is 00:20:31 Then there would be some record of that. Dragon slayers. Dragons. Although they are in... You ever see Game of Thrones? They are in a lot of... Mythologies? Like different cultures, which is an interesting point.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Right. We all thought of the same animal? Yeah, exactly. Did we all make up the same animal? Or is there something close? That is strange. When things like that happen, it's not necessarily true, but certainly interesting proof.
Starting point is 00:20:56 You say they were thinking that the Loch Ness Monster was just some whale dick, just some whale. Yes, I did see that. You saw that? I was like, that is so depressing to whoever. I don't know. It can't be. I don't think there's whales in that lake in Iceland.
Starting point is 00:21:12 It was in a lake? yeah Loch Ness it's the lake in Iceland that doesn't I don't know I saw the same TikTok that I think you're talking about
Starting point is 00:21:18 yeah it looks strikingly similar to a whale wing yeah there's like a it's not connected to the ocean though it's a lake in Iceland
Starting point is 00:21:26 underground tunnel it's a salt water lake you don't know where it goes no no they were they were talking about the Loch Ness lake and they were saying some animal
Starting point is 00:21:33 and I think it was a whale I think it was a whale they were saying some animal goes to the surface and flips upside down and flips it's penis and it's penis
Starting point is 00:21:41 is like many feet long yeah and like loopy and like droopy and so and so that's what they attributed and then they literally took a picture of that of a whale doing that and the picture of loch ness monster the lake and it looked it was exact same thing well that that very famous picture of loch ness monster was just a toy it was a little dinosaur toy that's been like shown many times that there's a lot of holes the most well-known picture of loch ness monster was just like a camera right here and the guy had his toy right here a little dinosaur and perspective yeah it was all right so we got a lot of holes
Starting point is 00:22:11 in our whale weenie theory. This is not ours. That's true. Whoever that is has a lot of holes. Someone who I trust has a lot of holes. Very reputable source.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Very reputable TikTok source. Said the Loch Ness Monster is just a whale weenie. Absolutely. WW. WW. Just a little whale. Wait, so it was a TikTok.
Starting point is 00:22:28 He was able to divulge his whole theory in 60 seconds? Yes. I mean, this is a whale weenie. This is the picture of the Loch Ness Monster.
Starting point is 00:22:35 It looked exactly the same. Boom. Boom. 30 seconds. Wow. Not even. I did it faster than him. Yeah, 10 seconds.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Yeah, I mean, It was pretty clear-cut when I saw it. It was pretty uncut when I saw it. Dude, I want to see, like, Bigfoot so bad. I want that to exist. I want one of these people to be right. I want one of them to be right. You know?
Starting point is 00:22:52 I just want one. Just give one. Because, like, one, then it leads to, like, oh, God, this man was right about Bigfoot the whole time. Maybe Loch Ness is real, or was, or some shit, you know? What would be the coolest, one of all the mythological creatures that they go, like, oh, my God, guys, we discovered it.
Starting point is 00:23:05 It's actually real. Pegasus. Oh, that'd be cool. Flying horse. Dude, that'd be so cool. Okay, that's fire. But it would have been a little cooler if we discovered it back when we still used horses in war.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Yeah. Dude, imagine the guy who got good on a Pegasus. Oh, my God. Swings down from the heavens with his sword. Chops off some people's heads. Dude, arguably, they'd be good now. Any flying animal that we can mount would be cool because that would give way to a whole new branch of sports.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Oh, yeah. Like Quidditch. Yeah, like Quidditch. Quidditch with a horse. So literally, it doesn't matter the animal. If any single animal, if there was a big bird that could sustain us, that would be cool. But horses are very tameable. I don't know, bird.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Bird, pretty dumb. Bird brain, you know? They call it bird brain. Birds are dumb. It's hard to train them to do shit. I'm sure if you zap a bird long enough, it'll like, this zap means left, this zap means right. Now we're going to throw a ball in this ring. Fair enough.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Maybe. We are against flying bird zapping. I'm not. Let me make myself perfectly clear. I am not. If it's a cool sport, I'm good with it. If it's a cool sport, I'm so down. I definitely don't want a true...
Starting point is 00:24:15 Pete is going to be in our comments. It's like, please, stop. Fucking animal killers. Yeah, from these fake animals that don't exist. How dare you? Fucking... I don't want dragons to exist. I don't want that.
Starting point is 00:24:26 No, no. That'd be a horrible thing. Unless they never grew bigger than that basket. But even then, it can kill me more than a pegasus. Yeah, that'd be horrible for all of humanity. Now we have to go against the war into dragons. Also, they're greedy. Smaug.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Now we're giving them characteristics. He lives in gold. Yeah, that's true. We're going to have to give him a little piece of gold, a feet of gold probably. Somebody calculated his wealth, and it was like 30. Who's that again? The dragon in Lord of the Rings.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Or the hobbit. Who lives in a mountain of gold that he has acquired. How much was he worth? But he was worth like $35 billion or something. The point of the video was that there are billionaires. that are richer than smog. Yeah, Jeff Bezos could sit on that gold and be like, this is nothing.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Who literally sits on a mountain of gold. Yeah, and what smog spended it on? True. I mean, does a leprechaun count? I would like for leprechauns to exist. Oh, a leprechaun definitely counts. That counts? Aren't they evil?
Starting point is 00:25:23 They trick you. I don't know. They trick you. But you can, but if you do manage to get them, I think it's good. No, I'll trick you. No, I think they'll do everything else,
Starting point is 00:25:32 but if you do manage to trap them. He will run mental laps around you, dude. I think it's hard to trap him. I think he's a conniving little bastard, but I think if you trap him, he'll give you gold. That's my leprechaun. Is that what the thing is? I think so.
Starting point is 00:25:45 I think you have to trap him. No, there is something about trapping them. Yeah. They'll give you a wish. They'll trick you to get out of it. I don't think they'll give you a wish. Well, I'm not an idiot, you know? He will run circles around you, right?
Starting point is 00:25:55 He can in his little cage. What if cherubs existed? That's a scary thing. Just a little, they're like cupids. Is it cherubs? It's like a little flying baby? Yeah. I mean, first of all, terrifying.
Starting point is 00:26:05 And second, what if this guy shot me in the ass with a love arrow and then shot, like, a canine? It's like, now I'm stuck loving this canine. That's bestiality. I'm going to jail. And now this little baby flying around has all this power causing havoc. Wait, does every cherub have a love bow? I don't think just— I thought that was just Cupid.
Starting point is 00:26:23 I don't think Cupid got the job. I think everyone does it. I think it's like the seven dwarves. Different cherubs do different—have different moods, you know? That's scarier. So some could have a hate arrow, maybe. Oh, that's worse. what if he like
Starting point is 00:26:34 shoots me in the ass and then shoots my mom now I hate my mom or something that's the life of the cherub wouldn't work on my dad I already hate him there it is
Starting point is 00:26:41 nice you like that I'll be watching this dad by the way let's talk about this piece of media I consumed that I was just obsessed with Bo Burnham's new comedy special
Starting point is 00:26:50 oh yeah it's so good highly recommend you watch it free plug for Netflix it is very good inside it's very sad it's very sad
Starting point is 00:26:58 but it's very good it's fucking crazy it totally encapsulates It's what quarantine alone was like. I mean, it's just beautiful. I think it also proves, I mean, obviously not everybody can do this because Bo is an incredibly creative guy, and it took him a year to make this special.
Starting point is 00:27:14 But in reality, I know he has all this equipment, but in reality, he did it with a microphone and a camera, right? And by himself. And a projector, essentially. And a projector. And he made this whole special by himself. It kind of, to me, it more showed that he is in a weird mental state, and yet he's pushing along,
Starting point is 00:27:28 and he's creating something like this all by himself. I feel like it just kind of showed that anybody can do it. If anything, it will be something like you've never seen before. It's very unique. That's definitely true. So go give it a watch. It was great. I thought it was very interesting.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I'm guessing you didn't. No, I mean, I love Bo Burnham, so I had plans to watch it. But I'm also not, I guess, a super fan where I have to watch it the hour, midnight release, whatever. But now I am very intrigued. I didn't even look up reviews. I didn't hear anything. It's good.
Starting point is 00:27:58 And I made the mistake, though, of showing my dad him. I don't get it. I made a mistake of showing my dad him. And I showed the older specials just to kind of get the feel. Because this one, you can't just jump into this one if you don't know him, I feel like. Yeah, for sure. And that was just, that didn't go well. Bo's a big, like, you kind of got to get the world, like the comedy, satirical world.
Starting point is 00:28:23 And my dad was not. Will you feel good after watching it? No. No, no, no, no. Make no mistake. But you will feel something. Which, you know, isn't that the point of art, I guess? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:34 It gets the point across. It does, very much. And a couple of the songs are bops. True. Bo Burnham did cause a very awkward situation for me, though. I can't even imagine what happened. Because I was like, I really like Bo Burnham. So I was showing him to a girl I was dating at the time.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Oh, boy. And I was like, oh, you got to watch this guy. So I was like, let me just pick one of his funny videos. So I picked the one. it was um i think sad sadness or something sad sad yeah so it's like it's kind of it's almost yeah yeah and he realizes that all these things that are sad are actually funny yeah yeah and one of the things that he thinks is sad but realizes is hilarious is 9-11 right and the girl who i was dating i showed it to her dad died in 9-11 so uh you need some research before you do that dude i
Starting point is 00:29:19 don't remember all the lyrics i was like oh this is a good one let me show this one and then after i just kind of went i think i think after like 10 seconds i paused it i went you know i didn't remember all everything he said um so sorry it almost looks like you did it on purpose yeah yeah i said i wouldn't have played that if i remembered and at that point you know you don't want to explain the joke to her because the whole joke of that song is that if if you're an asshole everything is funny and like so it's not obviously those things aren't funny but you can't explain that to her yeah and um i think what did south park said something like 20 26 years or 27 years is when a tragedy becomes fully jokable so we got like seven years yeah we got you know yeah less
Starting point is 00:30:07 than a decade left and then way less dude i mean it's this uh this september is 20 20th anniversary which is fucking wild seven years seven years yeah you're right and then in seven years call her back up and show her again yeah so is it funny now is it funny now you get you get 27 years to be sad about this now it's hilarious i'm sorry yeah it should probably go probably not honestly true is that where we're ending it i believe so god damn it every time you know it's it's speaking it's kind of like i'll tie it with this it's like memorial day yeah memorial day is a day to honor every veteran
Starting point is 00:30:47 who's died in the war for the United States. And we have barbecues about it. Right. So it's just a weird thing, you know? I don't know. So maybe, who knows?
Starting point is 00:31:01 In 90 years, will we have a 9-11 barbecue? No, no. Well, no. I think that's more of a consequence of it's a day off that everyone has as a federal holiday at the beginning of the summer. That's why it's a barbecue day.
Starting point is 00:31:16 True. Everybody kneel at the barbecue and pay your respects. So that's where we're at. That's where we're at. That was much better. Thank you. You know, we're trying.
Starting point is 00:31:29 We're trying. I don't like to end on 9-11. All right, thank you. Well, now you are. Yeah, now we are. JT, tell them where to find us. Get out of here. Find me on Instagram at JTHolden97.
