How did you manage to find the only place that does this in Iowa?
Why are you in Iowa?
Answer that first.
You don't know anything, obviously.
Gather a bunch of people.
One of them eats a shell of an egg.
It's a lot of calcium.
Nobody eats a shell of an egg.
All right, simple.
Simple question.
All right, simple question.
You got waffles, French toast, pancakes.
What do you got?
What's your rank?
I love food.
Are you hungry?
Yes, very much so.
Why'd you have to think about it?
I am aware that what I do is not normal
because many people have spoken to me about it.
All right.
Welcome back to the Picky Boys podcast.
JT, Antonio, Danny, all coming at you.
Here we go.
Why, why, why, why has no one told me about Jersey Mike's?
Oh, my God.
God, I can't.
I mean, has anybody had Jersey Mike's?
I'm going to give you a minute to respond.
We're not giving a whole minute.
Why haven't you told me about it?
It is so good.
I've heard it compared to, I always thought it was just like, I don't know, the Jersey Subway or whatever.
It is leagues beyond Subway.
Like miles ahead of Subway.
I don't know if this is a hot take or not.
I think Subway sucks.
I think it's terrible.
I mean, well, then I want to know what you think of Jersey Mike's.
Jersey Mike's, I mean, really.
It is.
it is really good
it's just like
it's super fresh
super fucking loaded
like an actual loaded sandwich
like you know all the meats
all the cheeses all the good stuff
and you get it Mike's way
which is like vinegar
you know lettuce
tomatoes onions and it's just
oh my god I got a club supreme
he's getting his order too
club supreme with jalapenos
and on the rosemary bread
Oh, it is delicious.
Big fan of Jersey Mike's.
I mean, I like how you're talking with it in such high regard,
but from your order right there, it sounded terrible.
It doesn't matter.
It's not one thing, like rosemary bread, vinegar.
Like, what are you eating?
That's Mike's way.
Who's Mike?
It's Jersey Mike.
I wanted the Jersey way.
Forget the Mike way.
But I just can't believe, because all my life,
I've had Jimmy John's, I've had Subway,
and all my life, Jersey Mike's is this other thing
that I haven't had before, but I assumed was in that caliber.
It is a fucking crime to put Jersey Mike's with Subway and Jimmy John's.
I like Subway.
I like Subway.
I mean, I used to like Subway, too.
There was a time period, I think, a lot of people who like Subway have this, where you
just go to Subway, like, all the time.
We lived in Subway for a while.
Still sucked.
Like, but, I mean, Jesus, the caliber of sandwich that Jersey Mike's is delivering is on another
tier.
Danny came in with a sandwich bag that might have been like this.
Oh, that's called the giant.
It's meant to be split with two people
It's like $20
Did you split it?
No, absolutely not
I ate the whole fucking thing
That's how good Jersey Mike
Jersey Mike's big fan
Big, big fan
And one just opened pretty close
You gotta go find Mike and blow him
Maybe you get free sandwiches
Oh my god, I'll blow Mike till kingdom come
Till Mike comes
Till kingdom come
Free sandwiches for life
Because, man, I'll have Mike's way
Mike can have his way with me
Mike can have his way with me
because it is really very good.
Not sponsored.
I'm just shocked that none of my friends...
I texted people that I know.
I was like, have you had Jersey Mike's?
And the people who said yes, I was pissed off at them.
And you didn't tell me about it?
Meet me in the alley.
It's a betrayal.
No, it really is good.
Oh, man, you're falling into the trap of over-hyping something so much.
No, I mean, it'll never live up to what I'm saying, probably.
But, boy, oh, boy, that shit blew my balls off.
That is not an expression.
It blew my balls off.
It was so tasty.
I guess I'll have to try it.
You know what's weird, too?
They have hot and cold subs.
Haven't had the hot subs yet, so who knows?
Maybe it's just a one-note restaurant.
But, I mean, I haven't had any.
Actually, I've only had the Club Supreme because I had it,
and then I went, how am I going to go here and not order it again?
It's so delicious.
How many times have you gone?
When did you find out?
How many times have you gotten it?
I found out probably a week ago.
Okay.
And I've had it four times.
That is so many times.
That is so many times.
It is.
I already know.
The guy already knows my name.
Are you getting it today?
Very well might.
I'm going to get it right after this.
You sold me.
You sold me.
Is there gluten-free?
Yeah, he told me there's gluten-free bread.
There is gluten-free bread, although I will say, Jersey Mike's, you got to fix this because
on Uber Eats, the gluten-free upcharge is like $3.
Yeah, it's standard.
That's upsetting.
Gluten-freeness is for the rich over here.
You know what other place that is very, very good
and kind of in that realm is Firehouse Subs?
Oh, I've heard of it.
I've never had it.
I don't think they're around here.
I'm starting to realize I don't think I go to a sandwich place at all.
Are you like a sub sandwich kind of guy?
Sub sandwich?
What's a sub sandwich?
He's Italian.
It's an inferior sandwich?
No, a sub sandwich is just like a sandwich.
i don't know like on a traditionally on like a hero kind of roll stack of meats and cheeses
oftentimes cold yeah no i like like you know my ham and cheese and yeah that's not i'm not
really a roast beef guy oh okay don't look down on me right now because that's what i'm saying
your jersey mic blower don't look down on me right now i've never seen you i've never seen
you eat a sandwich uh oh you like turkey lettuce and a little bit of like chipotle mayo cum sauce
and cheese.
See, that's a good sandwich.
Forget about the lettuce.
See, that's the thing
is that I don't know,
I know you're not a lettuce guy,
and so I don't know
if removing the lettuce
is going to fundamentally
change the sandwich.
It shouldn't.
I'll be honest with you right now.
Removing the lettuce
will never hurt the sandwich.
Not once.
That's just not true.
I've definitely had a sandwich
where the lettuce on top
makes it,
it gives,
first of all,
it gives a crunch.
Texture.
It gives a coolness
to the sandwich.
Not one time.
Not one time
has lettuce made anything better.
I don't know.
There's a reason people have it.
You know, people also have lettuce burgers where they use lettuce as the bun.
And it's wet, too.
Who wants a wet sandwich?
No, but it gives some moisture without being wet.
It's a pretty great topping.
It's terrible.
It's terrible.
It should be illegal to call a lettuce burger a burger in any shape or form.
If you, like, man, if someone ever just.
I saw one of my sister's friends was, like, on a keto or whatever.
or whatever, grilling, and she put it in the lettuce bun.
I went, you know what?
Just get out of the house.
Just give up on this.
Your personality, if you eat a burger with lettuce buns,
you don't have a personality no more.
You drop to a level that no human should be at.
You see, I would really typically normally agree with you on this.
Really typically normally.
How do you think about averagely I would agree?
But it's just the alternative.
Like, I've seen people on diets, you know, eat partake in burgers.
And, you know, the lettuce bun is not great.
But I've had a lettuce bun, and, you know, it functions the same way as a burger.
The worst option that people on diets try to do is to take just the burger and eat it with a fork and knife.
Please, now you get out of my house.
That is weird.
Now you're eating a hockey puck on a plate.
That is weird.
I'm eating a lettuce bun before I do that.
For sure.
100%.
Because at least the lettuce bun is the same mechanics as a burger.
You can eat it up.
You can pick it up and go, nah, nah, nah.
Nah, nah, nah.
Do I get ketchup?
Sure.
Whatever you like.
If without, then I'm going no lettuce bun.
I'm just having my hamburger helper patty.
You eat like a psychopath also.
So you're saying that it would be better if she went, oh, we don't have buns, and took
two napkins and put it on the burger?
It'd be better if she took two flip-flops and tried to eat it like that
than using a fork and knife to eat a bunless patty.
It's disgusting.
Just a brick of meat.
It's just not how burgers are meant to be eaten.
Stop with the lettuce buns.
Don't put it on your menu.
How about that?
True.
But I've always loved, in general, I've always loved the sandwich,
the burger, the wrap, the burrito,
all because they are utensil-less foods.
You can eat them with your hands.
Danny loves these utensils right here.
And it's just so great,
especially there's something about a wrap
that is so concise and clean.
You know, you don't have any,
it's just so great.
Yeah, but you have one structural integrity problem
in that wrap,
and it becomes the worst food ever.
Oh, true.
I mean, the person wrapping the wrap
is a very important person.
You need to be an artist.
You need to be Michelangelo of wrap.
Sometimes I'm watching the people at Chipotle
wrap my burrito,
and I'm like,
it's like watching a car crash.
Because like, you can tell.
This is not staying together while I'm going to eat it.
You need a man with just big forearms.
You can't have a little 80-pound person trying to put together five pounds of stuff.
No, you see, that's what I thought too.
But I have had some very small, tiny little people wrap my burritos very well.
How tiny?
Because they really put their all into it.
They're like, yeah!
They have to put all their body weight into it?
Yeah, and they have these very nimble little fingers that can get in there and pack.
What are you going to the elves?
Like, how tiny are these people?
That's what I'm saying.
They say that children are the rolled joints the best
because of their little tiny fingers.
Who says that?
That's what I've heard.
Well, don't talk to that person anymore.
Don't talk to that person.
I mean, obviously, it is ethical.
Maybe he's friends with, I don't know, tiny people, not children.
Stop talking to that guy, whoever that is.
Man, isn't it weird how presentation of the food is really 50% of it?
it because the food doesn't change if the burrito is wrapped poorly but it's so much worse sometimes
it does because like if you if you you know if you get all rice in one bite and chicken over here
it's like oh this isn't good no more you want it all together that's true and that's like yeah you
need layers well that is that is something i i never really have thought of is that you want it
all mixed together and then i went to this burrito place in i think they're strictly in like i ohio
I don't know, Idaho?
One of those, Iowa.
No, this is a burrito chain that is strictly in Iowa.
And what they do is they put all your stuff in it like Chipotle style.
And then before they wrap it, they have these paddles like a cold stone.
And they mix it together so that every single bite is a cohesive mixed bite.
And after that, I went, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Why is this exclusive to the state of Iowa?
I need one here.
How did you manage to find the only place that does this in Iowa?
Why were you in Iowa?
Answer that first.
I was traveling across the country, and I was in Iowa.
And I'm telling you, this is all the rage.
I forgot what it's called.
And he forgot the name.
He forgot the name.
I have a question for you behind the camera there.
Are you looking it up?
I have to now.
Burrito place that mixes with paddles.
How on earth can you find this place?
I bet if I just type in Iowa burrito.
Paddles.
Mix.
Are we certain it was Iowa?
You didn't even say restaurant.
You don't even know the state.
Oh.
No way.
No way.
Oh, it's called Poncheros, and it's a chain in Iowa, Poncheros Mexican Grill.
That sounds familiar.
It's sounding correct.
Oh, yeah.
Is it the same guy in the picture that did it for you?
No, but this is, yeah.
Yeah, and their logo is like two little paddles.
Poncheros.
Any Iowans over here?
Screen's locked.
Oh.
This is their logo.
Oh, yeah, it is two little paddles.
Well, those look like salad mixing.
Yeah, in Cold Stone, they'd call them spades.
I don't know why.
Spade is like a shovel.
Either way, I have a question.
I have a question for you back there, too.
How do you eat your food if you get multiple things,
like burger, fries, yada, yada?
Danny eats
I want to know
if someone else does this
Danny eats
if Danny gets a
if Danny gets a burger
and fries
he will eat his fries
first
all of them
not touch his burger
and then eat his burger
that's true
and isn't that
real
isn't that crazy
it's true
isn't that psychotic
what's the method
to this madness
like why do you do that
the method to this madness
is simply because
I think that
a
a
colder
like a room temperature
burger
is more edible than fries that have lost their crisp and their hotness, you know?
So like if I'm in a restaurant and I got fries or tater tots,
they come out right out of the fryer, super hot, exactly how you want to fry, very crunchy.
And so I have to eat all those to make sure they savor their crunchiness.
And by the time I get to the burger, it's usually still very warm
because it's a bigger object, so it holds its heat integrity more.
I think I'm on the normal side where I pretty much try to get everything on my plate
in my mouth at once.
I'll take a bite of the burger
and then shove fries in there
just because I like the taste
of everything at once.
I feel like that's more normal
than what you do.
I am aware that what I do
is not normal
because many people
have spoken to me about it.
Which is just like,
eat your food.
Mind your business, please.
It's weird.
People get judgy about food.
Yeah, it's weird.
Also, sometimes he throws
that system out the window
and eats the burger first
and then the fries.
It's just always segmented.
Then your whole logic
just went out the window.
Well, yeah, sometimes I will do that.
But that is more usually with something more like a tater tot.
I feel like that kind of holds its heat very well.
You made me unplug.
This is crazy.
The point is, in general, I do like to compartmentalize.
See, I don't do, first of all, I don't do your weird thing either.
Mine is definitely the most normal.
No, no, no.
It's more like you take a bite of the burger, swallow that,
and then you have a couple fries because it's almost like a palate cleanser.
Like, it's a different texture.
It's a different taste.
And then you go back to the burger and you go, you know, burger, three fries, burger bite, three fries, sip your drink, burger, three fries, five fries this time, mix it up.
Bop it.
Twist it.
Bop it.
Eat it.
It's all getting different textures and tastes and heterogeneity or whatever it's called.
Stop using big words when we're talking about burgers.
I get that.
He goes, no.
No, I get that.
But it's just that also it is a good tool to use if you're critiquing the food as well because if you've got a 10 out of 10 burger and 5 out of 10 fries and then you're going – this whole meal is going to be like 7 out of 10 as with – because you can't really discern.
You're like, well, I had those terrible fries.
I had a really good burger.
But then the fry is terrible in my mouth again and then the burger.
And so now I'm just separating them.
That is so wrong
Because you let your burger sit
Obviously fresh is the best way to eat all of it
Sometimes a burger
Just sitting first of all
You have failed to mention
I am a rapidly fast eater
That's true
So by the time
I am on to the burger
Like a normal person would have
Let's say half that burger left
So it's sitting anyway
I'm really not letting it sit that long
Danny eats like the flash
apparently is what he's saying as no i mean i'm just saying i compartmentalize also not with just
the food itself but with the activity when i'm eating no talking is being half no talking is
happening i'm not like an eating and then no let's talk and eat and talk and eat i'm eating
and then i'm talking that's why we give danny food because it's the only time he doesn't talk
that's why we always give danny food so i don't know you know i maybe it's a little strange but
I stick by it.
No, don't change your ways now.
I'm trying to think if I do that once other things get into the mix.
If you threw a third thing in there, if I would also compartmentalize that.
All right, what about like, you know, I've seen you order double side.
What about if you get a burger, fries, and onion rings?
Ooh, burger, fries, and onion rings.
But that just counts as like one side to me.
Like the onion rings, it's just like a mixture.
That throws your whole system out the window.
Because you're talking about freshness and like the proper way.
Yeah, but to me that's just like a mixture of the fries.
You know, it's just like a mixture of the fries.
And the onions.
All right, a cheeseburger, fries, and an apple.
Like, for example, like if...
Oh, I would definitely eat the apple segmented away from...
You'd throw an apple away.
Just throw it out.
What am I going to do?
Eat the apple, then eat the burger?
It's crazy.
I don't know.
Whatever you want.
The only...
Apple's good in, like, a salad.
You ever have an apple salad?
Danny, no.
No, an apple, it's a salad with, like, Italian dressing.
Oh, that's pear.
Pear and walnuts can be good in a salad.
I hate pears and walnuts and salad.
What?
You hate pears?
I don't like pears.
I love a pear.
I know fruit's supposed to be wet.
Pears are really wet.
No, pears are dry.
Oh, no, they're not.
They're like a different kind of wet.
See, I think pears are very dry.
It's like how vodka's, they're not dry.
A pear is very dry.
This is not, have you ever had a pear?
Well, he's using, it doesn't mean literally dry.
It means like when people have a sip of champagne,
they go, oh, that's dry.
Yes, yes.
Like it's wet, it's water.
The taste is, it's like dry.
This is not right
This is not correct
I don't think I've ever had a bite of a pear in my entire life
That speaks volumes to me
What does that say?
Name the first volume
JT's never had a pair of balls in his mouth
Got me
Does that mean we have?
The point is just eat your food however you like
And that's it
By the way I don't think I've ever enjoyed a salad once in my entire life
No there are some good salads
You got a chopped
It's a pretty good fucking salad.
Again, but it's like, this is what always gets me,
because you're saying good salads,
but what you mean is like there's an invisible,
you're not pronouncing it, for in there.
You're like, oh, it's good for a salad.
Because it's not actually good.
You would always rather have a burger.
A really good burger is good.
And a really good salad is, it's good, parentheses, for a salad.
Yeah, no, I mean, I agree with that.
But I don't know.
I mean, some people think salads.
They have to think salad's good.
Again, the line for chopped is crazy.
This place is ridiculous.
Yeah, but then there are some people that are like,
oh, yeah, I had a salad today.
And you push it so far down the line
that it's not a salad anymore either.
Oh, a lot of salads are...
Like, I had a chicken parm salad today.
It's like, what the fuck are you talking about?
It's like...
If you have chicken parm in there...
And some lettuce.
And, like, croutons,
you have a chicken parm sandwich at that point.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Because I'm a big fan of the bowl, too.
And if you just get rid of a bowl,
if you switch the rice with lettuce,
that's like a salad basically we became a huge how long was that for food i was just like i got
i got out of the food coma i'm like oh my god i love food are you hungry uh yes very much so why
did you have to think about it well i was just thinking about when when i ate and it turns out
i didn't what does that have to do with if you're hungry i'm hungry honestly hunger i've no hunger
You're going to get philosophical?
What was I trying to say?
Hunger is a state of mind.
Hunger is not a feeling that I am consciously aware of.
This.
Whenever I'm hungry, people will, before I can say, before I say.
You start hitting people.
Before I say I'm hungry, somebody will say, oh, man, they have testy mood over here.
Have you eaten today?
And I'm like, no.
That's before I even realize that I'm hungry.
Hunger is an illusion.
Hunger is an illusion.
I can't go into another rant on how people get hangry and I hate it.
I feel like I've done it too many times.
People are just going to start hitting me.
People get hangry.
I mean, you know, I guess that's part of probably, you know, your body.
Nature.
Nature.
Yeah, grow up.
It's like, you know, you got to get angry because if you don't eat, you'll die.
Who's stopping you?
You know, it's like.
No, but I'm saying that's why it's there.
That's why it's built in.
I don't care.
That's the mechanism.
It's like, yeah, you didn't eat.
You didn't have your bagel this morning.
and now you're yelling at your kid.
It's like, fucking relax.
I'm not a big breakfast eater either.
I love breakfast food,
but not at breakfast time.
I love breakfast food.
I don't think I've had a meal
before 12 in like a year.
Besides if we go to brunch or something
and I'm out.
I don't eat before.
JT doesn't eat before because he doesn't wake up until 2.
It's not fair.
I'm of two minds about eggs.
Sometimes we're like,
eggs are good, they're on a sandwich, whatever.
But other times I'm like, dude, this is, they're weird and slimy and like they kind of smell a little bit.
You ever hard-boiled an egg?
The whole house smells.
Yeah, eggs smell.
And it's like, I don't know.
Sometimes I don't know how I feel about eggs.
Also, eggs come out of chickens' asses.
We know that.
Chickens don't have an egg puss.
They come out their vagina.
No, chickens don't have an egg puss.
They come out their asses.
They poop from there?
Yeah.
But it has the shell, so who cares?
Yeah, eggs, like when eggs come out, there is shit all over the eggs.
Honestly, I'm not as concerned about that.
Why not?
But an egg is a chicken's period.
It has a shell.
True.
Some people eat the shells.
But by the time it gets to the stores, I don't know, some people will ask them.
Some people eat the shell of an egg?
If you gather some, one will say it.
Nobody eats the shell of an egg.
People eat the shell of an egg.
Nobody eats the shell of an egg.
It's a lot of calcium in it.
No.
No one eats the shell of an egg.
Nobody eats the shell of an egg.
People eat shells of the egg.
That's not true.
Do you know anything?
I'm not saying that people have not eaten the shell of an egg.
I'm sure someone has, but people don't actively eat the shell of an egg.
No, people actively eat shells of an egg.
Who does?
I don't know.
Somebody.
I know.
Some.
You don't know anything, obviously.
Gather a bunch of people.
One of them eats the shell of an egg.
It's a lot of calcium.
Nobody eats the shell of an egg.
A lot of people eat the shell of an egg.
Do you know anyone?
No.
Nobody eats the shell of an egg.
But people do.
I've seen it.
I don't think they just like, they don't do that.
They like, you know, blend it.
No, nobody eats the shell.
A lot of calcium in the shell of an egg.
I'm telling you, look it up.
That person does.
I know you do.
Write in the comments, please.
But the shell is protecting us.
It doesn't matter if it came surrounded by shit.
Yes, it does.
It does not matter to me.
If I went to the grocery store,
and there was just chicken shit
all over the eggs in the egg cartons,
I would put that back.
I would probably call the manager.
Would you care if you weren't preparing it to eat it?
If you weren't the one preparing it,
And so there was somebody, like a cook, that cleaned off all the shit, washed the egg,
peeled the shell off, and served you the egg.
Would you eat the shit egg?
Do I know it's a shit egg?
Yeah.
No.
Antonio, you're already claiming this is how all eggs come, and you love eggs, so what
are you talking about?
Yeah, but in the process from out of the chicken's asshole to the carton, I assume there's at
least four processes of cleansing, and probably some pesticides.
If there was just-
Pesticides?
It's a pesticide added to something that is already –
Something.
No, I'm telling you.
There's something.
And then on top of that, now there's shit in the carton.
Something went wrong is what I'm saying.
In that multiple-step process, something went wrong.
And no, I will not eat the shitty chef chicken.
This one snuck by somehow.
Yeah, exactly.
Whatever.
You would eat the shit.
Are eggs bleached to be white?
They're not white, right?
Yeah, they're bleached.
No, it depends on the chicken.
I don't think you know that for a fact.
No, for sure I know for a fact.
I'm not sure that some eggs aren't bleached,
but I know for a fact that the color of the egg
depends on the chicken, for sure.
Martha Stort taught me that.
I know we could look this up,
but do you think some companies actually anti-bleach it,
like make it more brown to look more organic?
Everything's fake.
Everything's fake.
There are black chickens.
Have you seen those?
Have you seen black cocks?
That's enough.
That was a double setup.
Have you seen the black chickens?
They're worth a lot of money.
Why?
Bigger eggs?
I don't know.
I think they're just so rare.
I think it's like the opposite of albino.
I'm not going to attempt that word.
I don't know.
I don't know.
What's the opposite of albino?
Melaninism?
No, isn't the opposite of albino just that's not right?
No, yeah, dude.
It's like, because the reason they're albino is they don't have melanin.
Yeah, but isn't the opposite of albino just not albino?
Because albino is very specific.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I've never seen an albino.
I heard of a farmer that had a chicken,
and every single egg the chicken produced had two yolks.
That's interesting.
Mutant chicken.
And I've gotten a two-yolk egg in just a regular packet of eggs.
Well, that's like a shiny.
You got a rare.
Yeah, because you crack it open, and you go, what the fuck?
And then I had six eggs in here, and there's seven yolks.
There's seven yolks.
You know, I might not eat that either.
Some people say this.
Some people say this shit about, like, you ever get that feeling when you're eating eggs
and then you realize you're eating eggs?
It's like, no.
I fucking love eggs.
I'll eat a dozen eggs.
Okay.
Either of you, though, the type of people that eat eggs where it's fucking half not cooked
and just slimy all over.
Yeah, I do that.
Eat over easy and shit.
Yeah, I do that.
Oh, yeah.
You guys are disgusting.
That's disgusting.
I don't care what anyone says.
He drank an egg.
You never done that?
Like, when you're, like, I don't know, right before you pick up something heavy?
Oh, I've eaten multiple raw eggs, and I've also had raw eggs that are actually prepared good, like a steak tartare.
Love that.
I don't like that.
You know a steak tartare, boy?
You're tossing in so many red flags.
It's just the texture of snot.
That's true.
Yeah, but it tastes good.
It tastes like nothing, kind of.
No, it doesn't.
No, it doesn't.
It really doesn't.
I like an over-easy.
An egg white tastes like nothing.
An egg yolk tastes like something.
I mean, I order egg whites all the time.
I think it's just because from when I was a kid,
that was just the easier thing to do to cut calories.
But egg whites suck.
I'll say it.
Egg whites are terrible.
Yeah, no, I'm not an egg white fan.
I still order them every time.
I want the yolk.
I'm just used to it by now.
It's like if you just fed me rat poison for all my life,
I feel like I could like it now.
That's how that works, right?
How about acquired taste?
I guess so.
Have you guys acquired any tastes that you didn't like as a kid
and then you all of a sudden like one day?
Sure.
Pickles, hated as a kid.
Love pickles now.
Big fan.
Really just spice, I think.
Like, I used to know just nothing spicy.
I used to be a super picky eater.
Like, super picky.
Like, nothing.
I wouldn't even, clams, mussels.
I used to have, my parents used to have to, because I was such a bitchy kid.
I was such a bitchy kid that my parents used to have to order baked clams, and I would
just eat the breading.
I was, and then, that was it.
Was that the only thing?
Yeah.
Just the breadcrumbs.
You couldn't get, like, chicken tenders?
I wanted that.
I don't know.
I was just a bad person when I was a child.
I was a bad person
Wow
And baked clams without
God bless your parents
You know clams are good
But you fucking
Oh god that breading's so good
Now you're handing it
To this fucking
Snot nose kid
Yeah
I think
Basically every like
Classic thing
I didn't like as a kid
And now I like
Is there something
You don't like now
Yeah horseradish
Hate it
Okay
Hate horseradish
I feel like that's like
There are some toppings
I don't like
And stuff like that
Like I feel like horseradish
Is like a topping
Also I've never had an artichoke
But I don't like it
no i respect it i feel that way about sometimes you just know i like it sometimes you just know
yeah anything that anything that comes in units of hearts i do not want to eat it's not an actual
heart it's yeah but that's what that's the unit i'll have an arch it's an artichoke heart
that's i mean i guess they could say it a little better like what would you say an artichoke core
It's just an artichoke.
Okay, that's true.
That's true.
But you love Brussels sprouts.
Oh, my God.
Brussels sprouts, I hated them as a kid.
Brussels sprouts, fuck.
Brussels sprouts are so good.
That's like a classic, like, eat your Brussels sprouts now.
I know.
I've heard that.
And I've also heard that the type of Brussels sprout we eat now is, like, a different, like, species of Brussels sprouts than that existed 20 years ago.
20?
20 years ago was a more bitter Brussels sprout,
and that's why some people have these bad nostalgic memories of them.
Now they're different, kind of, I guess, just better Brussels sprouts.
What happened?
Big Brussels was like, you know, we need more kids to eat this.
Yeah, you know, they're playing around in there
with all the cross-contaminating stuff.
That's close.
That was close.
Pollinating things.
I think that's it.
I think that's it.
But Brussels sprouts, and not for health reasons either,
Because the best way to cook a Brussels sprout is to deep fry them in chicken fat.
It's fucking delicious.
You took away all of the Brussels, that sprout.
Again, I don't care about the health benefits of Brussels sprouts.
They're just really good.
Because they have so many air pockets in them, first of all, they're dangerous to fry.
Because the air pockets explode and shoot oil back at the chef.
And because of the air pockets, when it fries, it gets so crispy inside and outside and all around.
It's so crunchy and delicious.
I love Brussels sprouts.
Jason's going to be starving editing this.
If Jason didn't eat yet, he stopped halfway to eat.
All right.
We can get off of food.
It's food or cocks.
What do you want?
We have like seven minutes left.
You might as well stick with the food.
All right.
We'll stick with the food.
I don't know.
All right.
Simple.
Simple question.
All right, simple question.
You got waffles, French toast, pancakes.
What do you got?
What's your rank?
Oh, I love this question.
You want me to answer first?
Would that help?
Would that help?
The best French toast beats the best everything else, I think.
A medium French toast will lose to an okay pancake.
And waffles are last for me.
So I'm just going to go French toast, pancake, waffle.
That's me.
I need something clarified.
Can I have the pancakes any way I want them?
What the fuck does that mean?
Can I have chocolate chip pancakes?
No, you cannot add anything to them.
All right, then French toast.
Also, chocolate chip pancakes suck.
I want that to be said.
I disagree.
That's crazy.
They suck.
No, I like French toast too, but oftentimes when I order it, I feel not satisfied.
Okay.
Like, same thing with like a ravioli.
I love, I love ravioli.
but if I go to a restaurant
I will never order
a ravioli
because you just get
like six of them
and you're like
okay
it's like $30
what are we doing here
yeah exactly
like I could get
a whole bowl of pasta
for this much money
alright but alright
you can have as many
French toasts as you would like
in a perfect world
in a perfect
this chef really likes
French toast
in a perfect world
French toast is elite
so great
it's number one
love French toast
yeah I'm taking French toast
but I am actually going
waffle over pancake
yikes man
no way
I love a good waffle
Oh, man.
First of all, not only is a waffle versatile, you can have it savory or sweet, but it's
just like, I'm surprised you don't like waffles, because it gives you that, because you're
a big crunch guy.
Also, you're a big frat guy.
I thought Eggo waffles would be in your wheelhouse, honestly.
Yeah, but waffles are, crunchy waffles just do not hit.
Really?
You like soggy waffles?
If I'm going to eat a waffle, I want it kind of soft.
Okay, curveball here.
A waffle, like a Belgian waffle in a fucking iron, now you're elevating the waffle.
What were you talking about?
Oh.
I was talking about
what the fuck were you talking about?
You're talking about
Eggos out the freezer.
I was talking about like
three Eggos.
Eggos waffles?
No, fuck that.
I'm talking about a fucking
big four, you know,
like quadrants Belgian waffle.
It's like this fucking thick.
Man.
It's better than a pancake.
Anybody who tells me not
can go fuck themselves.
Didn't you just put
pancakes above it?
No.
No, no.
I did though.
Oh, you did.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right.
I also,
I put waffles.
It's funny you're choosing
how I have to have my pancakes
which is rude.
No, you can't add stuff.
I put waffles above, and you're talking about an Eggo waffle?
Please.
Yeah, they're both down either way.
Bitch, please.
Only certain people will know this, and I have to include this.
The Mickey Mouse waffle in Disney is the best breakfast food I've ever had in my life.
I'll end that there.
People know.
That's it.
I'll end it.
Go.
Go.
Go, go.
Wait, but you just contradicted yourself because you said the best French toast beats everything else.
And it's not true.
Really, the best waffle beats everything else.
Because the Mickey Mouse came on a waffle.
No, I'm telling you it's different.
Is it shaped like Mickey Mouse?
Yeah, it's shaped like Mickey Mouse.
And there's something about shapes.
You know how the Velveeta shells lose to SpongeBob mac and cheese because of the shape?
Bro, Velveeta sucks anyway.
Velveeta's so bad.
The cheese sauce that comes with it, it's like fucking diarrhea.
It's so bad.
You like Kraft better?
Yeah, definitely.
Oh, yeah, I'm a Kraft fan for sure.
Oh, my God, I'm surrounded by idiots.
No, no, for sure.
This is terrible.
The cheese sauce is so, it tastes so bad and fake and weird.
I don't mind Velveeta.
I'll take any mac and cheese.
Any mac and cheese on earth, I'll eat.
Blue cheese mac and cheese.
Oh, that's not what I mean.
What is that exactly?
I mean, like, any, like, on the scale from good to bad,
regular mac and cheese, doesn't matter to me.
It's all delicious.
So, but I would, if I had to rank them,
I'd put Kraft above Velveeta.
So, let's say I gave you the chocolate chips.
Where would you put it?
In my ass.
What the fuck do you mean?
in the pancakes dog what do you mean i'm saying i'm saying then where do you put
yeah yeah so french toast is my number one if we're taking them all at their base vanilla value
but if i can add stuff i want to add chocolate chip pancakes maybe a little cream and at the
top easily also french toast i believe is one of those things that got created by accident like
someone was making scrambled eggs
and somebody was like,
whoop, dropped a fucking toast.
Dropped the entire piece of bread in the eggs.
Now what the fuck are we gonna do?
Or they were trying to do that thing,
like you ever see those just Instagram ads
when they're building the sandwich all in the skillet?
It's like they make the egg,
then they put the bread,
then they fold it some weird way into a sandwich.
Maybe someone failed at that.
Oh, cinnamon sugar's so good.
Yeah, cinnamon sugar.
Dude, cinnamon sugar is so good.
I might go back to French toast.
It's on a French toast.
But you know why pancakes aren't better?
It's because you need to add all these fucking things to make them better.
Yeah, but you're adding eggs, you're adding maple syrup,
you're adding cinnamon sugar to the French toast.
No, no, that's how you make French toast.
You can't just have bread and scrambled eggs and call that French toast.
But you're just taking bread that's in pancake form and going,
this is what you get with some maple syrup.
And you're taking your bread, whatever.
It's different.
See, this is the thing about a pancake for me,
is that like 40% of pancakes are fucking amazing
and 60% a bad pancake is a really bad pancake.
Like bad pancakes suck ass.
Like what's a bad pancake?
Like one that's just like a hockey puck?
Either super dry or honestly even too mushy.
It's just-
Waffles could be that too though.
But they have more structural integrity.
The only one that really can't do that is French toast though.
Can't have a mushy French toast.
I'm just saying.
I think the ratios of all pancakes, I legitimately think 60% of them are bad.
Wow.
I think 40% of them are delicious.
Where's IHOP land?
See, IHOP is really good.
IHOP makes up all of the 40%.
No, no.
IHOP is good except for on free pancake day because then they just know.
They might as well just spit in the pancake.
You should never, never enter an IHOP on free pancake day.
Dude, don't go to any of these places when they have the deals.
Even an Applebee's $1 margarita, it's not even a margarita.
We saw them just put the Minute Maid lemonade and whatever this bottle was.
They already have it.
It's terrible.
How do you feel about desserts?
I will never order one, but if it's on the table, it's hard not to eat a dessert.
Does that make sense?
Yeah.
When I'm eating a dessert, I love it, but I never crave dessert.
I'd always rather have another sandwich.
Yeah.
No, I feel like if the restaurant did its job, I shouldn't even, like, need dessert right now.
I'll be like, I'm full.
That was amazing.
Like, I can't eat dessert.
All right.
Well, we turned into the truly picky boys eating food today.
We could get out of here.
There's so much food today.
All right.
