Starting point is 00:00:00 it'd be cool if like prison was work-based you know and you would say like well actually no but it's like i don't know how much money you'd have to pay to get this guy to spend five hours straight at a movie theater oh you're talking about me talking about antonio oh not going okay well let's redo that jason sorry all right oh we're redoing it no no no jason you know you just say the i'm not a scientist but that doesn't seem like that doesn't seem like the greatest thing to be jostling around the fetus all right ready oh me yeah welcome back to the picky boys podcast hello hello oh oh was that british no that's that's australia that was no that was british hello hello that's more british you went more yeah that's that's that's an australian
Starting point is 00:00:48 thing it's like sounds like i don't know it's like a like dance party um i i can't stop speaking in australia ever since somebody on my stream told me that they pronounce emma emma really like the name yeah yeah i sometimes i hear like there's we were watching something where all the announcers were australian it's tough bunch to listen to oh i totally disagree no no i'm saying the voice and like the accent is soothing i'm saying the words i'm saying is that what that's what i'm saying i get what you're saying but i'll take if i'm listening to an announcer or a commentator i want a british or australian commentator for sure they sound like they know more but but i see what he's saying because british is more here i'll tell you the the ranking
Starting point is 00:01:33 go what is under even though it's all english right but what is most understandable to us dumb americans is british english right australian english way at the bottom you got irish yeah like the bro guy yeah yeah or like the scouse or yeah whatever true also at the bottom i saw some documentary on dead accents or accents that are dying and these people were on a boat in ireland and i i couldn't i didn't think he was saying words yeah it sounded like sounds i know we're speaking the same language but we're not and it's like they start getting angry at you it's like yeah i don't it's like talking to my grandmother well i have to put on uh captions when i watch like peaky blinders can't hear a goddamn word those people are saying i mean okay that's not
Starting point is 00:02:17 There are many, many words that you have missed, and I can tell you have because you don't have captions on. There are so many words crammed into a sentence. You say, like, wait, wait, what? Like, you just see the word, like, oh, killer, come by. I'm like, wait, no, no, that's not what he said. Yeah, so that's all. Actually, I've been a caption fiend recently.
Starting point is 00:02:36 I love the captions. Well, I'm an anime boy, so I don't mind captions. Also, every bootleg video has just Spanish captions on the bottom, so you get used to them eventually. Those are less useful. I don't like captions. No, I'm just saying you get used to the visualization. It's hard to get past not reading them.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Yeah. And also sometimes they spoil the scene. That's what it is for me. So number one, for comedies, it ruins the timing of every joke. And for anything where a character is about to die, you see their sentence cut off, stabbing noise. And it's like, all right, I know what's going to happen now. They look at the person with a murderous intent. They're like, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:03:12 I don't know about that. I'm like, what are we doing? That happens, I swear. True, true. He says menacingly. Yeah, menacingly. Or, you know, like the people who have theories about shows or movies, they go back. But in this caption, you see while she was talking to the mother, it said, interestingly.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Like, I'm like, come on. What are we doing? You know what they should do? The caption writers need to start. If a guy gets cut off mid-sentence, what they do to throw you off is they complete the sentence in the caption. And that way, while you're watching it and reading it, you're surprised still when he gets stabbed. Or you just release a movie where every caption is incorrect. Same thing.
Starting point is 00:03:48 The sentence starts off and then it pops up, and then the mom stabbed the daughter. But then it's like they give a hug or something. I saw a movie yesterday, and in the time slot before my movie, it was a captioned movie. So it's like a movie theater with a screen, big captions. Yeah, I've seen that. You went to a movie theater?
Starting point is 00:04:07 Yeah. Usually it'll be like, and that happens in other countries a lot too, because they'll do an English version and a Spanish version. Do you know what movie it was? Dude, movie theaters have changed, man. I'm telling you. I'm not going through this one. I'm telling you, bro.
Starting point is 00:04:19 It's incredible. Wait, but what movie was some Danny theater? Is that why? Well, it was a Danny theater, although all over the country. Alamo Draft House, big fan. And I went to see the new Wes Anderson movie, Asteroid City. Very good. Well, it was good.
Starting point is 00:04:34 It was exactly everything you want from a Wes Anderson movie. But the cast, star-studded. Star-studded. Star-studded. studded with stars studded with stars and I watched an interview with somebody
Starting point is 00:04:45 and they said that the main actor in the show said that he got paid the Screen Actors Guild minimum wage to be in that movie like
Starting point is 00:04:54 people just love this director so much that they that they'll basically do it for free what a what a cool guy what a cool man
Starting point is 00:05:03 I'm just saying it's like oh yeah this actor got paid actors minimum to be in this movie who gives a shit well
Starting point is 00:05:10 well that's What is Screen Actors Minimum? I know that was... I think it's $7.25, right? No, no, it was... It's something like $50 an hour. Like they're getting signed for? I think it's like $4,200 a week or something.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Okay. Oh, no! Look at this nobleman out here! He took such a big cut! No, $4,200... I don't know, but what I'm saying... What? It was $4,200 for the whole thing,
Starting point is 00:05:30 so I guess maybe it was a week of filming. I don't know how long it took to film, but the reason... The point I bring this up is because that's the only way that a movie like this can have a cast like that. Tom Hanks is in it. Not a particularly big role
Starting point is 00:05:45 either. And just that is a quarter, a fifth of the entire movie's budget. You're not going to be able to have that if you don't make some concessions like this. Is it about an asteroid that hits a city? It's about an asteroid that hit a city.
Starting point is 00:06:01 And it's like a play. It was kind of weird. So the actors, a lot of them are doing it for the love of the game. Just love of the game. And because they like the director, Wes Anderson, a lot. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I mean, all right. And Jonah Hill got paid 60 Gs to be in Moneyball Wall Street. Yeah, like 43,000 or something. 43,000. So Wes Anderson, is it animated? Isn't he that guy? Yeah. Is it puppets?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Yeah. This was just, for the most part, it was just cameras. Danny, the whole- There was definitely an animation in there, though. Was it like a psychedelic trick? It was an alien. I don't want to give it away, but it was an alien. So it wasn't an asteroid.
Starting point is 00:06:39 An alien came down and took the asteroid. You don't sound like you loved it, though. Oh, my God. It's quirky. It's quirky. It's like every Wes Anderson movie is like, it's very much about the aesthetics of it. Like, all the shots look very good.
Starting point is 00:06:52 He's very attention to detail stuff. But the story is somewhat lacking. Now I feel dumb. What movies has Wes Anderson directed? Have you ever seen The Fantastic Mr. Fox? I have. That's Wes Anderson. That's George Clooney.
Starting point is 00:07:04 The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson. No, you're losing me on that one. The Fantastical Mr. Fox is the best one. Is it? Yeah. Oh, then that guy sucks. No, that guy sucks. That's my best one.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Isle of Dogs. I know. It's like a claymation. People like that one. People like that one. I haven't seen that one. People like all his movies. Good for you, Wes.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Good job, Wes. Speaking of movies, I know you're not going to see it, but I'm going to do Barbenheimer. Barbenheimer? Obviously. Back to back? Back to back. Oppenheimer first, then Barbie. That's the only way to do it.
Starting point is 00:07:34 I don't know how much money you'd have to pay to get this guy to spend five hours straight at a movie theater. Oh, you're talking about me? You're talking about Antonio. Oh, not going. Dude, I saw the trailer for Barbie. I was so confused. I was like, what is this movie going to be about? It's like Barbie.
Starting point is 00:07:48 What is the thing? But it looks really good. Yeah, but I still don't know what it's about. Basically, Barbie goes into the real world. Oh. Bada-bing. She looks like Margot Robbie. She'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:07:58 She is Margot Robbie. No, I'm saying that Barbie looks like Margot Robbie in the real world. What? Is it a kid's movie? It doesn't look like it. No. Oh, God. And Michael Cera's in it.
Starting point is 00:08:07 My hero's in it, Michael Cera. Yeah, he's Alan. Yeah, he's Alan. Who is very blatantly like Ken's gay boyfriend. This has been all over the place because it's coming out. On Alan's box, it says, Ken's best friend shares all his clothes fit. Like, all of Ken's clothes fit. And it's just Alan.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Why does that make him gay? alan and ken is like behind him all right now it's starting to get getter oppenheimer is that nuclear yeah the guy who made the nuclear bomb i am the destroyer of worlds whatever that freak whatever that video is well part of the intrigue about it i guess first of all it's three hours long way too long but it's christopher nolan so whatever i don't know um but but part of the like i guess the intrigue of this person is that they didn't know if the bomb like there was like Supposedly a 0.2% chance that it would just destroy the world. Yeah, there was something where the oxygen particles,
Starting point is 00:09:09 they were afraid that it would ignite it. Ignite the atmosphere. And cause an instant hot flash. I don't know if they, do you think they actually thought that or one scientist was like, guys, what if this happens? I think the one that brings the umbrella on a sunny day was worried about it.
Starting point is 00:09:26 You know what I'm saying? Like the overly panicked, overly... If there was a sliver of a chance, It's still worth being like, okay, wait a minute here. It's still worth at least doing one of these, maybe. You guys also know that when they built the Hadron Collider, they thought that it might open a black hole in the Earth and just swallow everyone.
Starting point is 00:09:45 So when one guy says these things, we don't take them too seriously. It's like, we don't worry about Bob's theories. Calculated risk. What would you guys rather have, atmosphere ignited or black hole gets created somewhere in Europe and it just swallows the Earth? Well, the science of a black hole confuses me, because don't you get stretched out like spaghetti or something?
Starting point is 00:10:07 Do you remember that? Do you know that? Like the gravitational pull is so segmented that you just start essentially getting pulled apart slowly or something? It's spaghettification, and it's a real scientific term, apparently. The fact that it's a real term means it exists enough for me, and I don't want that. I would just take the hot flash.
Starting point is 00:10:23 You breathe in some fire, you're out. Hot flash, for sure. I think the black hole would be pretty quick. No, no, no. It would be eons slow. Yeah, I think it's agonizingly long. To feel it? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:34 You couldn't feel it, though, for that long. Because the human body can only take so much spaghettification before you die. Are you an authority to say that? I think I can. He's an authority on spaghetti. I think I can confidently say that the human body cannot be pulled apart for eons and still maintain consciousness. But what if time is moving at a millionth of what it moves at normally? Yeah, what if you're getting spaghettified in slow motion?
Starting point is 00:10:58 So apparently, because again, your feet are closer to the black hole than your head. So your feet would be experiencing time a billion times slower than your head. I think the whole time it would be like, ah, you know, just like that the whole time. I don't know. Or what if you stick your arm in it and you could get your fingers ripped off. You're going to take your chances with this black hole rather than. I think it would be cooler. It would be cooler.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Okay. And also, what does ignite the oxygen mean? Like, does it mean just the whole atmosphere? Or, like, what if you're now below ground and you survive and you have this, like, fiery hellscape upstairs? I think it's like a Connect Four, you know? Like, everything connected, kind of. Or that, you know, Peggle, maybe? I love that fucking game.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I fucking love that game, Peggle. It's so fucking fun. It's like a ball. To hit all these. No, no, no. You shoot the ball. No, wait, no. That's not right either.
Starting point is 00:11:53 That's Spelunk. That's Spelunk. Spelunk, you shoot a ball, and you have to hit certain blocks, and they bounce around. It's very fun. That sounds like Plinko. It's a mobile game. Oh. Yeah, I have it on my computer.
Starting point is 00:12:03 I didn't expect you to get so hyped about Peggle. I've beaten Peggle and Peggle After Dark, which is not sexual, even though it's called After Dark. Just bouncing little balls off tits. I don't know why. Bouncing balls off cocks. Yeah, yeah. I don't know why it's called that, but I love Peggle.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I don't think I'm thinking about Peggle. Wait, what? The one with the unicorn? No, no, no. I know I'm talking about Peggle. I'm talking about in comparison to the atmosphere getting lit on fire. Oh, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. I didn't mean to compare it to Peggle.
Starting point is 00:12:27 I'm talking about maybe the bubble popper. You know the game where if you hit all the greens, everything else falls? Yeah, yeah. Okay. The oxygen's like that. Gotcha. That's how I would explain it to a child. You know what I think about that is connected?
Starting point is 00:12:39 I think about this all the time, is every road. Has its thorns. No, no, that's good. Every road. Road. A road is connected to every other road. Like, if you just took all the roads and lifted them up. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:12:56 This can't be true. Yes, it is. Think about if I want to get from New York to California, those roads are all connected by other roads. But if you want to get from New York to Russia. Oh, I'm talking about in the U.S. But, like, if you just took every single road and lifted it up, you'd have a pretty good map of the United States. Like, isn't that funky? There's definitely ones that aren't.
Starting point is 00:13:20 How do you get to them, then? There's definitely got to be one that's like, oh, this is an enclosed community. No, I mean, I guess there would be an entrance. Yeah, there has to be an entrance to every road. But what if it's a dirt road? Does that count? Dirt roads, that starts to not count, but I get what you're saying. Do bridges count?
Starting point is 00:13:37 Yeah, of course. If bridges count and dirt roads don't, I'm a little confused, because I don't think they all connect. They all connect, for sure. If dirt roads count, they all connect, for sure. Yeah, well, because the whole thing is dirt. you're not lifting up the whole earth's crust it's like oh if we pick up a perfect
Starting point is 00:13:52 the thing is I wonder if that was always true like did we start building roads and then go west or were there roads in California roads in New York and then people merged them highway system it's a good question I definitely think there are roads
Starting point is 00:14:09 first in the major cities and then they all sprouted like little weeds I think and it depends cause like I think things start off as a trail, and then the trail gets a little more beaten and defined, and then they lay pavement, it becomes a road. Well, first of all, a trail, if dirt roads count,
Starting point is 00:14:26 a trail is just a dirt road. Yeah, but what about, I made this trail today, I just drove through here, now there's a trail. But as hundreds of people go over it, it becomes a trail, you know? Did you see that guy that pickaxed through a mountain his whole life, and then they just build a train around it, did you see that?
Starting point is 00:14:41 Why wouldn't they just go through it? Because it was just too late. Like, he took so long that they were already building a train. That seems like some kind of, like, punishment. Like divine punishment? No, like he was, like, actually convicted of a crime. He's like, you've got to go mine through this mountain forever. Like Spadicus was doomed to mine through the mountain for eternity.
Starting point is 00:15:00 That's actually kind of a good, it'd be cool if, like, prison was work-based, you know, and you would say, like, well, actually, hold on, hold on. No, but it's like, your punishment is just get to the other side of this mountain. You can choose to make that a life sentence and just sit in the hole if you want. You can choose to do it as fast as you possibly can, but you've got to get through this now. It definitely is somewhere probably, right?
Starting point is 00:15:24 I guess. You get time off for working in some places. Yeah. What? Well, also, you shouldn't force prisoners to work. I don't want to get into this. Hold on. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Scratch that. Let's take all our prisoners. Don't send them to the mines. Yeah, and put them in the coal mines. Danny's a fan of prisons for profits. Yeah, prison for prophets. And he's starting an organization. We also, on Patreon, got our tarot cards read for 300 pages.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Did you keep saying tarot? Tarot? It's like carrot. It's spelt like carrot, semi. No, it's not. It's semi spelt like carrot. It's certainly tarot. It's tarot.
Starting point is 00:15:59 There's a T. Yeah, there's a lot of things and a lot of words. No, no, the first T you pronounce. So is carrot called a carot? No, the first T you pronounce, the second T is silent. What's with this fucking silent letter bullshit? Either way, we got our tarot cards read. It's on patreon.com slash picketboys.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Go watch it. It's up right now. That was fun. I was scared. You guys were strikingly nervous when I was editing it, watching back. Because I sat for yours. I made them leave for mine.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Yeah, you made them leave. Strikingly nervous. Like, so nervous where she was, first of all, she was great, Sarah. But she seemed like an energy kind of reflector a bit. Because as soon as you guys were nervous, She started getting nervous. I was like, wow, it's really interesting. It would make sense that a person like that is an energy reflector.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Yeah, or just absorbs it, I guess. People are like that. I don't know. I didn't want to make jokes or anything, right, because that's kind of disrespectful. So I didn't really know what to do. I was just sitting there like. Yeah, Danny was literally like this.
Starting point is 00:17:01 It's crazy. I just don't like to, on the off chance that any of this is very accurate, I don't like to mess with the stars like that, you know? Yeah, you don't like to move them around. I don't like to mess with fate. Yeah. I don't know. And then I find out immediately my mom already,
Starting point is 00:17:18 she didn't buy it because of the video. She already has previously bought a deck of tarot cards. I'm like, this is a very mom. This makes sense. The thing is- She said she's too scared to open them. Okay, well, that's the first step. Whatever that means.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Literally, she just, they're in the box. The thing is, if you don't believe in stuff like that, you better hope it's not real like that's a bad that's a bad thing to be like wrong about you know well you're saying like if you call if you if you call uh if if you call a uh what's that thing called tarot card no oh ouija board if you call a ouija board and you say that shit doesn't work you better hope you're wrong yeah you better hope no but you you better hope you're right because if you're wrong then you're like oh because now the ghost heard you and it's like Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Bitch? But why with tarot cards? It's not like the cards have feelings. It's like, isn't it more the universe or something? Oh, would I rather these cards be mad at me or the universe? What would you rather? Well, the universe, I don't know, man. Well, the universe, man.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Let's just believe everything. Then we're safe. Yes. Yeah, but I don't want to believe what people say, though. That's everything. I know. That's everything. I know.
Starting point is 00:18:32 I know. It's really rough. And what's our next goal? I actually know it. Yeah. Our next goal at 400 is we all have to wear pregnancy belly simulators for a week. Not like the shocky kinds. Shocky?
Starting point is 00:18:43 I'm talking about, I'm not, you know, because pregnancy simulator often is associated with like the muscle simulator. That's like birth simulator. Yeah, birth simulator. No, no, no. No, no, no. We're talking about a full-on weighted pregnancy belly. For a week.
Starting point is 00:18:54 And we're all vlogging it. We have to wear it for a week. Yeah. That doesn't sound fun. Not when we shower, though, right? I think that's part of it all. You got to go pick up the soap. You go, oh, God.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Oh, God. My water. I'm not looking forward to that. I'm not looking forward to that. Why do they sell these? That's a great question. Is it to train women or is it more for like just to show men what it's like? It's probably for, if you want my real answer, it's probably for some sort of therapy in some sense probably or something.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I don't know. I'm just worried about going outside. You guys don't leave the house a lot. I go do things all the time. I have to wear my pregnancy belly. What do you do? Explain what you do. Do I leave?
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yes or no? You do. I don't have to explain what I do. I leave. Give me a script of what you do. The point is I leave, and I don't want to have to leave with a double pregnancy belly. I don't want to do that. Fair.
Starting point is 00:19:51 I can't wait for the vlog of you going into 7-Eleven with your baby bump. I feel like, and this might sound weird, but I feel like it would be better if I just, at this point, like, put on a wig, too. So you want to rather pretend to just be a pregnant woman? Well, that's what I'm going to be pretending to be anyway. No, you might as well go for full immersion.
Starting point is 00:20:16 No, you're going to be a pregnant man. No. I might as well go for full immersion, exactly. Yeah. No drinking, obviously. Ooh, I don't know about that one. It would be a funny part of the vlog if we're all at the bar.
Starting point is 00:20:32 What are you, We're expecting. One of you's got to come to the track with me. I'm going to try going on a run with it. Yeah, you can suck my little baby's toes.
Starting point is 00:20:42 Did you see that there was a woman who ran a race whilst pregnant? And everybody was like, that's badass. And I was like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:50 I'm not a scientist, but that doesn't seem like. Oh, really? That doesn't seem like the greatest thing to be jostling around the fetus. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:01 It'll be fine. Yeah, it'll be fine. What, do you know the number? One to nine? What were we? I'm not going to make that assumption. Solid three and a half. But it was showing.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Also, you know, go for a little jog, get the blood flowing better than, you know, half the people that have a beer instead. I think my dad committed to soberness while my mom was pregnant. Would you guys do that? Except for St. Patrick's Day. That was his pass. That's fair. That's your dad's drinking hall pass.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And that was my mom's pass, too. She just drank there anyway. That makes a lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense. It's a holiday. Come on. It doesn't count on a holiday. Just a little bit.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Would I do that? Would I do that? No. I think I would. I think that's fair. If they wanted to, or maybe I just wouldn't drink in the house. Like, I wouldn't drink in front of them. I'd go to the yard or something, you know?
Starting point is 00:21:49 That's fair. Or at the bar. Maybe not drink in front of the person. True. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know. Don't put me in that situation.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Why, you would? I think so. I think that's fair. I think it's hard to expect that from them if you can't do it yourself. Well, no, we're changing. You're losing me there. That's different. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:22:08 They have a person, you know, growing. It's not an expectation for them. It's a requirement. It's a requirement for you. It's like, oh, yeah, it's fine. It's fine. I have seen it not be a requirement. So I don't know about this whole requirement thing, guys.
Starting point is 00:22:27 That's true. All I'm saying is there's a lot of people out there, and, you know, cigarettes and alcohol can be addictive to some people, and a baby doesn't stop them. Bro, you know what I—I don't know why this reminded me of that. You know, I saw a video of, like—were there just random bee swarms in the city? Bee swarms? Did you see that? Bees. I thought you said beast worms.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I was like, is there a new type of worm? Beast worms? Holy shit, dude. Fuck. No, bee swarms. I saw a video of this guy getting completely attacked by bees just on the street. Bees. bee noises
Starting point is 00:23:01 and if that happened to me I don't know what I would do he like went to the ground and he started like it was just bees attacking it was so terrifying and all I could picture was like Danny in that situation and I don't even know
Starting point is 00:23:16 that's my worst nightmare how many nightmares do you have that are the worst I mean that is that's up there have you seen this new wasp thing you put a cup of gasoline over a wasp nest and they all just go
Starting point is 00:23:31 they just die. Because they're breathing it? I don't know. I guess so. The fumes. Who comes up with that? I don't know. It's like remarkably instant though.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Remarkably. It's like boom. Dead. Maybe they have some you know something with the pheromones and the hormones. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:47 I mean if you think I'm getting anywhere near a wasp nest with a cup of gasoline that sounds like how I die. Yeah. It's like
Starting point is 00:23:54 He tried to light the wasp nest on fire, I guess. I don't know what happened here. You're right. My worst nightmare is swarm of wasps. Okay, so it's a worse... It's like my worst nightmare is not getting eaten by a shark. It's getting eaten by a bunch of sharks. No.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Just a slightly upgrade. No, no, no. Wasps are way worse. They hurt more and can sting multiple times each. Because they don't explode upon impact, like most of us. Yeah. There are some wasps, I think, that will follow you or something. If you jump into water, they'll wait for you there.
Starting point is 00:24:29 We've got to kill all of these animals. I don't think we need wasps. I don't think we need wasps. They don't do shit. They say they don't have mosquitoes, too. Mosquitoes, we definitely don't need. Yeah. No, we don't need them, for sure.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Maybe frogs eat them? We don't need frogs. What eat frogs? We don't need those, either. That's the thing, is that it's like, if you get rid of one and that's the prey of another, then it's like a whole chain of... I'll be honest, there's definitely a whole string of chain that we could just get rid of, and it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:24:55 And we have. And we have. If you think about it, mosquitoes are kind of like a very successful predator of humans. Because we're like their main source of food, and they eat us all the time. Just so tiny amounts that, you know, I guess you just don't complain about it.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Is it true that if a mosquito is sucking you, and you flex, it explodes? I heard that. I don't know. I don't have the composure enough to see a bug on me and not go, ah! Yeah, that's fair. Or just like. But it would be cool. I would love if you just went.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Make my day, motherfucker. Just land on me. Yeah, it's like, oh, yeah. Can you like that? It is weird when you slap a mosquito. You know that there's a bunch of people's blood in there. Yeah, you see blood on your arm? I don't think there's a bunch of people's blood in there.
Starting point is 00:25:40 It could be one other person's blood. I've slapped a mosquito and been like, wow, that's a healthy amount of blood he added in him. Yeah. That's like a three pints of blood there. That's how mosquitoes transfer viruses. It's because other people's blood is in it. Is that how it works? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:25:55 I thought they were just carrying it. Malaria? Yeah, but I didn't think that's not a blood disease. And they just go for the net option. You just sleep in a net. I'll be honest. If I ever went anywhere where I had to sleep in the net, I wouldn't be there.
Starting point is 00:26:09 I wouldn't be there. You are just chopping off vast swaths of the world. Fine with it. He's fine with that. You thought that was going to sell him? No, I didn't. You're chopping up the parts of the world that you just said you didn't want to go to. I'm just letting you know.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Did you sleep in a net in Brazil? I know. I've never slept in a mosquito net. I'm surprised in Brazil you didn't have to. No, there wasn't many mosquitoes there. If I went to a hotel and they went, here's your bed, here's your mosquito net. I had a bunch of shots, though, before I went for all different kinds of diseases. Malaria?
Starting point is 00:26:45 Yeah, probably. So Danny got the shot Went don't need the net I got the shot Well you know There's just some guy And he's like He has a map
Starting point is 00:26:53 With all these shots And then he just He gave me like Fucking six Six in one day Did you say a map? Yeah it's like a map Of where you need
Starting point is 00:27:01 Like different viruses And why you need These vaccinations For which place Do people need shots To come here? I don't know What on the map?
Starting point is 00:27:08 You didn't check? At the time The big thing was What was that Mosquito disease That people were Zika Zika virus
Starting point is 00:27:15 Because that was a huge thing at the time. And so that's why I went there in the first place. You went there in the first place for what? To say, what do I have to do to prevent myself from getting this? Oh, you went to the map place. Isn't there like West Nile virus or something, too? I think that's another mosquito one. Every direction of the compass on the Nile has a different disease.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Yeah, but by mosquitoes. So Nile isn't just a river in Egypt. My brother is 15 years old. Okay. And he said, why are compasses useful when in every direction they're always facing north anyway? He thought that it's always stagnant in any direction you face. You know what? I will say, I feel like it is a better design for a compass to be like, oh, east, north, west.
Starting point is 00:28:09 It points to what direction you're pointing it. No, but then you would need a digital one, right? Yeah, that's what the digital ones do, right? The one on your car says north. Right, but the reason the compass works is because it's just fucking magnets. Yeah, yeah. With a north pole or whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:24 I mean, isn't it just as simple as making the dial spin instead of the face of the compass spin instead of the red thing itself? The red thing is always going to face north. Oh, exactly. If you made the dial always face north. It spins. So wherever you are pointing it is where the...
Starting point is 00:28:44 Oh, this is a really complicated mechanical thing. No, it was a dumb question. Isn't it the same thing? What's the difference? You know the same thing if you know where north is all the time. It's about user experience. I like the O-I. I mean, to be fair, most people have no need for a compass.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Have you ever even used a compass? Honestly, why is there a compass in the car? Well, because you're supposed to know if, like, oh, I'm going the wrong direction on this highway. Like, if your Google Maps says go north on I-42 and you're going south. Sometimes you've got to take south to go to the east one and then go north anyway, and it's like, I don't know. I've never, I've used a compass, obviously, but I've never used one.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I've picked it up and went, oh, north. But I've never, like, oh, God, I need to know where north is right now. Hold on. And then. True. Yeah, well, my family flamed them. Fair. They flamed them.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Very fair. did you know that there's a belt i think i've said this on the podcast there's a belt that you can wear that buzzes every time you face north and if you wear that belt for like a month yeah if you wear this belt for like a month or a couple months take it off for the rest of your life you'll have an inner sense of knowing where north is at all times yeah dude if i was lost in the woods and so on no no no no some guy was like oh don't worry i wore this belt when i was a child I know which way North is all the time. We would die.
Starting point is 00:30:08 We would die. That sounds cool. I would love to wear that. Should we get it? Yeah, we should get it and test it. No, didn't we? Actually, we did talk about this. Isn't it like $4,000 or something?
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's like $4,000. It's so much money. Well, what if we just buy it and return it after 30 days? It's like, yeah, in the warranty it says if you can't find true North 30 days after, you get a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I mean, there are definitely a lot of scenarios. Well, a few scenarios where that is very useful. Yes.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Stuck in the wilderness is the main one. Dude, dude. Not if you're already up. Somehow you're stuck out at sea, and you know which way land is, but you don't know the orientation of where you are. There's no way it works on water. You're already moving so much. Wait.
Starting point is 00:30:52 What did you just say? Not if you're already up? Not if you're already north. That doesn't matter. No, it does. It's not just, you know, if you know where North is, then you know where all the other directions are. No, that's not true, because now you've got to turn around,
Starting point is 00:31:05 and you're like, oh, shit, did I walk far enough? And you turn around again, and you're like, oh, there it is. And then you turn around again, and you've got to, like, keep. It's useless. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I don't think that's how it works. I don't think it's that, like, it's not, okay,
Starting point is 00:31:19 if you wear this belt for a month, for the rest of your life, your cock's going to buzz when you face North. That's what it is. You will just have a general sense of permanent direction, so you'll know east. You don't have to go, hold on, okay. It's like, let me recalibrate this. That's no way that's how that works.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Also, it doesn't get less effective as you get further north. No, no, no, I'm saying, no, it does actually. No, I'll tell you why it gets less effective is because there's nothing up there. So you don't want to just keep going north. No, but you can go south if you just turn around. Now we're back at the, my first problem is like,
Starting point is 00:31:52 you got to walk and then you got to turn around again and recalibrate and keep walking. You'll die just getting there. Do you know there's a race going on right now? It's about to end in like a day or two. It's already over by the time this is out. And it's people who are rowing from California to Hawaii. It's called the World Hardest Row Race.
Starting point is 00:32:10 It's like groups of four, two on, all 24 hours. Rowing. It takes like 30 days. And one team right now is on path to beat the record. Wait, what did you say? Groups of four? Four people in the boat? Groups of four.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Two people rowing at all times. So on two-hour shifts, 24 hours a day. What do they do, like fish? I mean, they have like ration. It only takes 30 days-ish. Oh, I'm sorry. Only 30 days. 30 is a lot of food.
Starting point is 00:32:35 What does this boat look like? It's pretty thin. This doesn't sound right. No, helicopters must be dropping them off. This doesn't sound right. Or bigger boats. I don't know. Bigger boats must be dropping them off supplies.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I don't know how they eat, but I do know that they are constantly rowing. They shit off the side of the boat. For sure. For sure they shit off the side of the boat. And one team is about to beat the world record. Maybe when the two are on, the other two are fishing. And when the two are on, then they alternate fishing. I can see that.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Bro, all you need is a... And now he feeds you while you're rowing. He's like, eat this little flounder. You just stick a pole in the back of the boat. Can you fish on a moving boat? Yeah. I think drag fishing it's called. I thought you fish on a parked boat.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Bro, I... Anchored boat. I mean, you will fish standing. I fished... Bro, I caught a little sunfish when I was fishing on my uncle's boat. while he was taking us back to the dock. Sunfish sounds like a really cool name for a fish. Does it look cool?
Starting point is 00:33:29 It was very flat. A lot of fish are very flat. They are flat. Yeah, like a fluke. I guess think about like aerodynamics-wise or water hydrodynamics-wise. Yeah, definitely not arrow. I also read that now,
Starting point is 00:33:41 because they know they're on the world record pace, they're doing three one-shifts. So it's like three people at the same time, and then one person starts to rotate. Oh, so it's not a requirement. They could do four man-shifts. You can do whatever you want. But four-man shifts, you have to sleep.
Starting point is 00:33:56 No sleep. 30 days. You simply must. World record pace in rowing at that distance seems kind of unfair to me. That's like the across-the-country world race during COVID. You know, that record? Yeah. Because if the wind and the water's in your sails...
Starting point is 00:34:11 There's no sails. If the water's in your butt... Yeah, I mean, I'm not just saying. You can go faster. I don't like that. True. I like that record, by the way. The driving one.
Starting point is 00:34:22 The cannonball run. that shit's cool also I don't understand how it's possible even if there was only one person alive in the US
Starting point is 00:34:30 doing it I don't understand how it's possible in the time that they did if there's one person that's alive they'd do it way faster well no
Starting point is 00:34:36 because cars would be parked in the road because everyone just disappeared it'd be a real problem it'd be harder you're saying an apocalyptic situation
Starting point is 00:34:45 I'm saying that's why I don't think it'd be possible then either that would be way harder than it would be if you get pulled over once
Starting point is 00:34:51 it's like over basically what if you get a really quick cop. You got a quick cop. I'm doing the cannibal run. Come on. Sir, you're going 160 miles per hour in a school zone. It's like, well, you're not continuing. I think that's what their average pace is, like, close to 100 miles
Starting point is 00:35:05 an hour, which is just absurd to drive. What is this? The run from New York to Los Angeles? Yeah, I think it's that those states. But it's basically across the whole country. It's based off a movie. And people like rig cars with extra large gas tanks to complete this task. Unsanctioned,
Starting point is 00:35:21 obviously because it's highly illegal they probably map out their gas stations okay this one's right off the road i'm sure there's a lot of research that goes into it it's like oh if we don't hit gas station 57 by minute we got to restart the run like a real speed runner just quit the game join again i wonder if you can do it with an electric car might just have a huge a bunch of backup batteries oh all right well actually we're good here oh all right uh jt tell me where to find you let's go find me on instagram at the j balls um find me at danny is watching on instagram you You can find me at AntPrisco.
