Starting point is 00:00:00 All I had was my ping-pong paddle. I was like, what the fuck? We played for lunch every day. The loser went hungry. It wasn't even a ping-pong table. It was like his mom's spatula. You couldn't let him get comfy up there? You have to tell him this now?
Starting point is 00:00:12 We're all shooting for the top. Now he's going to practice. Look what you just did. Now he's going to practice. We're all shooting for the top. You immediately broke your New Year's resolution. Well, I'm going to say, filming exception. I think we just made fun of our friend.
Starting point is 00:00:23 We just made fun of our friend just critiquing. I think you can learn from... There's nuggets of wisdom in there. There's nuggets of wisdom in anything you hear. It's true. It's true. Welcome back to the Picky Boys Podcast. Oh, oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:00:38 We are here. We are now here. We are now here. We've made it. We did the sub-a-thon, and we've just, we're potting in the remnants. Yeah, we're in the rubble. We're in the rubble. We're in the rubble, but we had to get an episode out for everyone beautifully on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Remember, I don't know. I was going to say like the video, but what are we talking about? You can hype the video now. What's that? You have hype points, and there's a leaderboard of pipeness. You're making this up. And we're all hype. Happy Leif Erikson Day, by the way.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Yeah, what's this again? This is the second Viking pod in a row. Did you forget you did it the first time and you already had it on? No, this is just a new Viking thing that was sent, so I'm going to keep wearing them. It's just your look. yeah i mean i'm feeling i'm feeling like i said my nordic roots in 2026 got it got it no but he is right we finished a subathon i think it was seven days long or six we we started friday the 26th of december and then we got to uh january 1st so thank you everybody once again we're almost
Starting point is 00:01:40 at 1700 patrons we're flying out here chat uh beautiful patreon.com get in there let's get the 1700 i think because we hit so many goals in a row without uh goal videos playing i feel like the order of operations doesn't matter i think a dnd campaign is coming first i believe a dnd campaign is coming first and then once it's spring you'll get your camping video don't worry about it so just sort of slot that into 1400 and then we'll slide everything down from there and start going like that yep but either way do you have a for people who missed it you have a favorite moment from the subathon i got one i was uh missing for a good portion obviously once again it's just JT sick time probably three days so I didn't I missed a lot of moments so maybe you
Starting point is 00:02:21 guys can fill me on on your favorite moment but my favorite moment and it's clipped was when Chaz was looking for uh Jason to do something and he forgot his name he went he went oh when uh when what's his face uh Jason gets over here it's like oh Chaz you know this guy 10 years yeah not good But, I mean, you know, day five of 24-hour sub-a-thon, Chaz stays here. Like, Chaz doesn't live here, but he stays here pretty much the entire time. And, you know, you start getting loopy. Should he forget Jason's name? Probably.
Starting point is 00:02:58 It's a toughie. Did it feel like he didn't care about Jason's name at the time? That feels like it. That feels more like it. Yeah, that was a great moment. I think my favorite was probably the going outside day, IRL day. brand new groundbreaking section of the sub-a-thon
Starting point is 00:03:14 it was a little scary but it was fun we also learned that Martin is a ping pong wizard supposedly every Polish communist playground has a metal ping pong table he didn't grow up in Poland by the way he made it sound like
Starting point is 00:03:31 oh when I was in communist Poland all I had was my ping pong paddle we played for lunch every day The loser went hungry. It wasn't even a ping pong table. It was like his mom's spatula. It's like we couldn't afford ping pong.
Starting point is 00:03:45 But he was doing pretty well. I'd beat his ass at ping pong. Also, that place was cool. We should go back there one day. You should go back there and get the equipment you left there. Probably. It's at the bar? Well, we think it might be at the ping pong place.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Did you call them? There are no employees. It's in a totally employless facility. How does that work? That sounds like communist Poland. You get a QR code, and that opens the door, and then it's just like you have everything you need. And then there's vending machines with more QR codes. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:04:16 What if someone just took all the equipment? Well, you have to put your card in to open the door for the reservation, and there are cameras everywhere. Everywhere. If you're playing on the wrong table, they'll be like, do you want to book this table? It's actually kind of weird. It's a little dystopian, quite frankly. That's how it's going to be eventually. But it's very fun.
Starting point is 00:04:34 It was super fun. Yeah, super fun. No, I was watching while I was filming the base yard a little bit, just like peeking. They looked like they were having a good time. They were trying. 100%. They were having a good time. We were trying to find bars with, you know, lighting.
Starting point is 00:04:47 That's one of the... You never realize how dark bars are until you need to see in them. Whatever. Certain lenses on the iPhone are good at low light, but eventually you'd need any kind of light. So, yeah. They do get dark. Bars get very dark.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I had to cut out a whole section from the Guatemala vlog because they're just pitch black. No light? yeah where were you i went to a bar i think i talked about it was a bar where you order or you don't order and then they make a cocktail for you based on you just tell them like oh i like flowers and coconuts and they make a drink flower this is called flower connut yeah basically basically but uh it's so dark you got to cut the whole thing out was it did you look back at the footage like oh my god or were even at the place i can't see the menu oh there's no menu that's why
Starting point is 00:05:31 i was switching between the lenses like you said like oh this one's a little better and i just went forget about the vlog we're enjoying ourselves today yeah i get it i get it my favorite moment was probably i don't know how it came across on screen but scholar day really when you when you're in the when you're in the driver's seat instead of the passenger seat of scholar day it might be one of the funniest days out there because chaz is just chaz hates first of all i'll back this up chaz should be able to do 7 plus 12 like like this this this stuff should be able like his excuse of i'm a pe teacher i don't gotta know this i was like yo bro like like this is just math well it's just eight plus four you should know this it's daily math yeah like it's it's like it's how many
Starting point is 00:06:13 apples do i need oh seven here twelve okay yeah or or you know i have six apples i'm going to buy four more now i'll have how many so you don't so at least you don't get scammed by the the apple man he is at a scam level of math he's at a scam level of math where he can get scammed very easily because of his math but there was just a time where we weren't allowed to say um profanities because he was just because i could see it brewing in his head he was trying to just ruin it so because he wasn't allowed which means he wouldn't get points he didn't care about the points anymore and you had this associate words with just certain letters let's say and the word was d and and there's this clip and all the people in chat clipping every moment is great and in the
Starting point is 00:06:54 discord at any tier of the patreon patreon.com speaking voice on discord you can get in there see all the clips people clip like they post stuff all the time memes and everything you could see it working in his head in the clip and then he just screams dick like seven times like so loud and dude i couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard i could not breathe i i saw the clip i did not know this context i just saw him screaming it so he that's it that was the answer i was thinking about it at dinner yesterday and i i was laughing to myself i thought that was great yeah a reckless chaz who has just given up on the game is a dangerous man such a danger it's like a lion who hasn't eaten in four days.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, you never know what's going to happen, truly. Truly a wild card. Such a dangerous man. No, but thank you to everybody, and that was a lot of fun. On to the next one. Of course. Yeah, if you missed out,
Starting point is 00:07:41 basically committed to doing this like twice a year at least. Yeah. I think they got us to top 200 on Patreon for Patreon subscribers and top 200 on Twitch for subs. Sheesh, that's so crazy. In the world, baby, in the world. I was given info that Chaz has began starting for Cardiothon.
Starting point is 00:08:00 How's that? Training for Cardiothon. You don't know that? That's what I've been told. You don't know that? My sources. You told them? No, I got inside sources who've said this to me, so it's on.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Because Chaz, I don't know if you remember, for a while there, he was in retirement. He didn't want to do the next Cardiothon. He was like, fuck this. He wanted to go into the commentating business like Tom Brady. Yeah, he wanted to go into the commentating business. he's like dude only the good ones get paid it's like you'd have to start your own podcast but he's got an all-star team and now he's he's grinding so we'll see what see if you know the fruits of his labor see it become ripe and if you don't know what we're talking about we're talking
Starting point is 00:08:38 about um the other subathon we do every year which is just mario kart foley and we have teams and we compete and it's it's pretty intense half the time but uh chas training on his own i wouldn't be afraid of but now he has two kind of anchors to guide him in proper training which can be scary but chas still sucks at the game they all suck my team's gonna win anyway don't talk about my teammate like that yeah oh the three teams are right the three team leaders are right here i don't know if we said this on the podcast but we're doing teams yeah so the teams for the next mario kart uh subathon is me and my brother geo danny and jason and then jt coach steve i don't know if anybody knows who that is but if you're watching subathons you do jt coach steve and chas
Starting point is 00:09:18 And then the player four that floats, so like Ray will float in, Martin will float in, my other brother maybe, and just guess like Keith will float in. But those are the three teams competing, and I think it's going to be a good one. Very much so. It's going to be great. I need it to happen right now.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Yeah, I already know the placements, bud. What are the placements? Oh, I mean, I'm not fooling myself, not kidding anyone. Antonio Geo, more than likely going to be first. But who knows? There's injuries. Lots of wild things happening. we'll see if no one's shooting for the top the top stays you guys you're aiming low regardless
Starting point is 00:09:53 the the clear and obvious second place team is me coach steve and chas i love this jc jc doesn't even know what's going on with this team because me and chas had a and jason had a little meeting yesterday and chas your inside source yesterday yeah you had a meeting yesterday so it's just chas that told you and everybody everybody we're all shooting for the top let's just put it that way you couldn't let him uh get comfy up there we're all you have to tell him this now we're all shooting for the top now he's gonna practice look what you just did he's gonna practice we're all shooting for the top they all have to pick one character did you tell them that no we're all picking every team's picking one character and they're sticking to it the whole
Starting point is 00:10:35 time yeah i think we're gonna do every team picks one character and then we're just gonna have danny make the teams like the names and they're gonna reveal to us so you can do the merch and shit I think that makes the most sense. Question. We all got to pick the same character, can't switch. Yes. What about the vehicle? I think you can switch that around.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Do you do different vehicles? It's just, see, they're already bad strategy. It's just bad strategy on your part to do different vehicles. Because if someone has to sub in race nine, but we're going 36 races, you got to play with that vehicle. That's true. I got to text him. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:11:08 We'll scrap that one. It's just bad strategy. I still think a knockout vehicle makes sense. That's a little different. But we'll see. This is all stuff that will unfold during the strategy development for Cardiathon. It's just because one sub-a-thon passed, we're on to the next one. No, we are all doing the same vehicle, but it won't be the baby blooper.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Wow. But anyway, I'm revealing too much. Wow. Yeah, I think I'm hopping off the baby blooper as well. I'm upgrading. Wow. He has no idea what the good one is. I mean, his partner's an idiot.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Yeah. i mean i i and my my partner doesn't use the baby booper but i am one wanting to use it because it's fun it's nice all right that's enough that's enough of america but uh i did see something on tiktok which i thought was funny oh yeah what's that this guy was explaining uh a risk game that he had with his five friends and we've we've played risk we're privy on risk yep we've we've had long battles not a lot not in a while not in a while but they used to be frequent and often to a cumbersome degree. But there were two teams that formed eventually.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Let's say the left side of the board, the right side of the board, and then the sneaky fifth guy who didn't join the team. And essentially the game came down to whatever team that this fifth guy attacks loses because then the third would be too much power. He was a tiebreaker. He was a tiebreaker. So what they had to do was stop the game and all create presentations on why they should attack the other team.
Starting point is 00:12:30 That's what they decided on. and let's say the left side of the board went first great presentation so good that the fifth player said no matter what the other team says i'm on your side whatever they say doesn't even matter the other team presents 10 minutes later the fifth player attacks the first team obviously the team that he said he wouldn't attack okay and the the other person on this team flipped the board went home it's like was so betrayed by the friend so they asked him what did the other team possibly say to get you to attack us and if it just hit home a little bit and the other team just said you know they had a good presentation but wouldn't it just be funny now if you attack them
Starting point is 00:13:11 that's exactly what i thought as soon as you said i went well what makes the best storyline here yeah like you wouldn't even be telling this story if you just attack the second team i know so like the line of wouldn't it just be funny if you attack them is just such a hard yeah it's a hard one to break yeah sometimes the funniest outcome also that's basically how every single five player risk game goes it's either that that person is the floater and decides the game at the end or the fifth the fifth person the floater is just killed instantly because he didn't join us and it's just 2v2 yeah yeah let's just get rid of this guy and let's play it together yeah exactly you look at me like are you gonna join a side no i don't want to join a side and then both teams
Starting point is 00:13:53 look at each other like well let's just get him out of here he obviously wants to go home he's i would try yeah exactly that that would be fun a little picky risk but it's just so much work if you play it the right way it's 30 minutes yeah but then that's the wrong way you know yeah yeah you need more politics you need more politics need more you know pumping circumstance it's about the game outside of the game i haven't played a board that was the voice yeah no all our voices are shot that happened too i feel like i because you were drinking and all sucking in each other's air during that whole subathon i really kind of pushed my sick until like right after right after i was just i i was kind of just congested yeah there's still we're still
Starting point is 00:14:34 remnants down here as soon as i get down here to for us to film this i'm like oh i still fear the i feel the energies i feel the spirits down here the literal spirits and i feel i feel just you know the baby oil baby oil baby oil certainly an aura in the room for sure i can't believe we used do these without the constantly running air purifier that's insane to me because it helps so much now yeah but it's doing a lot of work that that is our biggest our bravest soldier if i open up the back of that it could be black it was a very clean white filter and now it's just all over the first subathon that we used the air purifier it just broke it broke after like three days it was too much too much horsepower required why has god forsaken me it's it's a toy story when
Starting point is 00:15:23 you like it's toy story when the toy is looking at which kid's gonna grab them you're like oh i hope that kid i hope that kid and then just this greasy cheeto finger kid grabs you like no as soon as the air purifier saw where it was going it decided to unplug forever yeah it didn't want to live like this anymore what's wrong danny it's 10 o'clock i forgot that we were filming this and 10 o'clock I didn't do my question of the day it's 10 o'clock you immediately broke your New Year's resolution well I'm going to say filming exception
Starting point is 00:15:52 do you remember do you think that counts for anything do you remember when we were talking about the New Year's resolution we said I don't even think he makes it a week do you remember that he wasn't even here for that that was your resolution that doesn't make it not true
Starting point is 00:16:08 well my resolution was not to do it before 10 o'clock it was to do it at 10 o'clock every single day Every single day for a year. For a year. This is a question he asked on the Daily and the Discord, patreon.com. Yes. And day four.
Starting point is 00:16:24 And, yeah, his resolution apparently was to – Broken a day. What was the resolution? 10 a.m. every day. Every day. Which obviously – and our example was, well, Danny, obviously you're not going to hit that. You need something more attainable. That's like saying you're trying to do 10,000 push-ups every day.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Yeah, I want an eight-pack. I mean, what are we doing here? See, I feel like you don't need something more attainable. So you just – but the key is – But it's not attainable. The key is this is just merely – you don't stop after this. Okay, so you're going to do it 10 a.m. one day. Next tomorrow, same resolution.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Come back at 10 a.m. No, but now that thing in your head, now that thing, that little switch in your head that you – I don't even think was really turned on. I'm thinking it's a dial that said, oh, I am going to do this. Let's say it was at 6. Now it's like 3. It's also once you – because you don't care anymore. You broke it.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah, once you break it once, it's easier to break it again. See, that's what I'm saying. I'm jumping over that. I'm jumping over that. I'm just, tomorrow, start again. Resolution, 10 a.m. Well, yeah. You don't even think about that one.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Okay. The past is the past. It's old news. The past is the past. It's old news. I hope you would continue it for sure, for sure. I do have to think of a question right now, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Have you? Just take your time. They'll see this. They'll see this. I mean, right now, the questions, I have everything at my disposal. Have you broken your New Year's resolution yet? Easy, because you just did. I already asked about New Year's resolution one day ago.
Starting point is 00:17:56 I mean, I don't want to. Why did it sound like you were considering it? You just asked that question yesterday? No, I asked, what is your New Year's resolution? Oh, that's funny. If you then said, did you break it already? Yeah, he's doing it anyway. He has no question.
Starting point is 00:18:08 That's funny, because you broke it. He has no question in his mind anyway. Now they're typing I'm currently currently filming What a failure What a failure at this They're gonna see this in like six hours
Starting point is 00:18:23 Did y'all break your New Year's resolution yet? Less than six hours Alright, here we go, done What time is it? 10.15 Oh my god, wow, really missed it Oh, I would say that's that's great within 30 minutes
Starting point is 00:18:39 This is what I knew would happen This is when I knew what happened Obviously next month it's going to be an hour It's great, it's great, it happened You know The daylight savings is going to throw them off Of all being late To be 15 minutes late
Starting point is 00:18:53 Is basically the end of acceptable lateness Okay I can actually get behind that I agree with that, 15 minutes late Anything else is egregious Depends on what it is I'll give the JT question, 16 minutes late, not egregious That would be my question
Starting point is 00:19:08 You've got to make a line somewhere, so yes, I'd say 60 minutes. I appreciate the line you drew in the concrete. You've got to. We'll do round up or down, though, because it's 15 minutes and 30 seconds. Yeah, again, you've got to draw the line somewhere. You're not going to get me on this. I mean, the 30 seconds shouldn't count. It's just when the number turns.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Yeah, the clock still says 2.15 at 2.15.30. Then, yeah, that's good. Okay, so 2.15.59 is what we're talking. Perfect. Yeah, I think that's fine. would i be upset and 20 you even get like a buffer five minutes of like you just changed well no it's about for five minutes of this is this is a borderlining on egregious but you basically made it here in 15 minutes and then after 20 minutes it's just ridiculous no i i think there's
Starting point is 00:19:53 actually a huge difference between 15 and 20 minutes like if i'm meeting with someone somewhere if they're 15 minutes late i don't even think about it but if they're 20 it's like I've been standing here 20 minutes, bro. Where were you? What am I, chopped liver? That's the buffer zone between egregious and really egregious. But you just said that anything after 15 is just, forget about egregious, just unacceptable.
Starting point is 00:20:14 And now you just changed that. No, it is, but there are levels to unacceptableness, obviously. If someone's 30 minutes late and then someone is just three hours late, there's always going to be levels. I get what you're saying because up to 15 minutes is unacceptable, you're saying. Past that is egregious. past that it's like do you even care about me yes and then there becomes a point where like
Starting point is 00:20:34 are you even showing up yeah yeah yeah and then this guy even coming and then past that is did we am i crazy did we actually make plans to meet here and then past that it's like are you okay did you oh no i would forget no i would never care about that did you get into a car crash no i would never care about that if someone well all right car crash obviously but if someone like if we were going to meet somewhere and someone didn't answer me or didn't show up i don't care If you exist anymore Wow I don't care
Starting point is 00:20:57 I don't care I get it What are the If it was a car First of all Everyone who's meeting up with us None of them drive anyway None of them drive
Starting point is 00:21:04 Half of them don't drive So unless something It's just they slept Or they didn't answer So I don't care If they wake up today If it goes like six hours And I still haven't heard
Starting point is 00:21:14 A word from them I think I'd be like Fuck Start to get worried I would get worried About my friends too Yeah me too Nah
Starting point is 00:21:24 Not if they don't show up to a plan we made I think one of our New Year's resolutions Should be to get a new tablecloth I don't think that's a New Year's resolution I think it's just a purchase Well, then it'll be an easy one to fulfill One day we should do, like, get prosthetics And we have a beard and he goes clean shaven
Starting point is 00:21:41 Oh, damn We'll reverse it all That'd be sick I'll have a beard and a mustache I wonder how hard that is to do Or how expensive that is, a real prosthetic I feel like prosthetic beards are hard to get right i don't think so i feel like things are movies all time things are good now it's not the 40s
Starting point is 00:21:59 they put horse tail on your face now now it's just a beat like they make you have a beard now well it's just like what beards like jts are hard because it's like this this line where there's like some hair but some not if that's really hard to do prosthetics wise yeah if you have like a if you have like a like an angled beard where it's like you know like that's way easier to do but But this, like, little gradient of hair here is very hard to achieve. Yeah, I don't think it's going to look as real as that. It's about the imperfections make it look real. That's like how, like, if you get veneers, you don't want to have perfect teeth, 100% whiteness.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Because then it's like, oh, my God, what the hell? Yeah, well, you could tell a lot of the celebrities that because no one seems to tell them that. You want to have a more natural tooth shape, a little, a little bit. That'll make it look real. yeah some of those things sparkle yeah i mean some of them are just mirrors it also is crazy how what you gravitate to in the eyes because when like like it's usually reality tv you see it the most and during the interviews and you're just staring at this person's teeth and that then it makes me wonder is that what everyone does when people are talking you just
Starting point is 00:23:10 stare at other people's teeth so what do you look at when you're talking to someone what do you look at do you bounce around i feel like i bounce around i bounce i bounce all around i bounce over here over there sometimes i continue to look at them what do you do i bounce between eyes i think between eyes isn't there a thing where you're supposed to look like here or something at the schnoz no you're supposed to look like you can look at the forehead too it's like in between the eyebrows if you're self-conscious about staring in their eyes there's like a zone you're supposed to look if you're weird with eye contact if you look at their just like in between their eyebrows uh it looks like you're looking in their eyes anyway and they it's the same thing
Starting point is 00:23:44 But I consciously feel myself – I don't know if this is something with me in an undiagnosed thing, but I consciously sometimes – if we're having a long conversation, in my head internally, I've been looking at his eyes for a while. Let me look at the ground. Yeah, and then you feel like kissing him. Yes, and that's why I need to do it. Yeah, I don't like that. So now I look at the ground, and now I look back, and I was like, is this a long enough time to look at my eyes? he hasn't looked away or she hasn't looked away i look up and now now i don't even know if i'm listening because i'm just trying to not look like a psychopath and then i hear oh you know
Starting point is 00:24:21 and then i hear a word i'm like oh shit i was supposed to answer but now i was just worried about not looking in this beautiful man's eyes and then you say that's crazy and then you find out later he was telling you about like his grandfather died yeah well which was crazy it was crazy i hate when people are talking in a group setting and they can just only look at me in the eyes does that ever happen to you like they're talking like how you're doing this looking me in the eyes and playing with your pig like they're like they're talking with a group but they're only looking at you or sometimes like i don't know they'll just look at a crush on you what do you i need an example i just don't like i just don't like no but no can you look at the
Starting point is 00:24:57 other people do a little quick no but i'm trying to understand i'm trying to understand and they're just looking at you yeah so it's like if we were all talking like this as a group and i'm just looking at you even though sometimes i'll say like isn't that crazy antonio oh yeah it's weird well obviously that's antonio obviously that's weird also danny's done that many times danny's done that many times where he'll look at the wrong person he's talking to i don't know if it's an accident or if he's doing it on purpose i like to bounce around no i'll look over there and talk to you i don't care right so so you do it well but i never just single someone out i'm trying to think of scenario where so you're saying that we're in a group and i'm going
Starting point is 00:25:34 so danny what's going on with your pigtails right now i have no idea what he's talking about i don't know what he's i've never experienced no no it's not like that it really honestly it's usually more if there's like a group of people and one person's talking a lot and the other people aren't necessarily vibing with the conversation okay sometimes the person will choose one person to just look into your eyes and you kind of bear the weight of the entire He's talking about Johnny. He's talking about Johnny. Well, no.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I'm not talking about that. Dropping the name. He's talking about Johnny because now I understand. So there's a few people in this group that do it, honestly. All right. Well, I'm going to bring it to where I can understand. So then what he's saying now, I get it. Because the first example you gave was not at all that at all.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Gotcha. Yeah. You got to read through the line. I get what you're saying. Someone's saying something and they tell stories in a certain way. Not very interesting. But they don't just look at the TV or something. Why does that make you laugh?
Starting point is 00:26:32 you don't just look at the tv like they're looking at you now because of it they're trying to rope you in because they're losing people fast and so they need you they need you in yeah yeah so they select so they select you even though they're talking to really a group of people yeah they've selected you to be the person it's like it's like oh you know what was crazy oh this time i was uh i was working an electrician and i was doing this this and that and then like okay so it's already been 15 it's already been 15 20 minutes of just the same thing and then everyone starts to have their own conversation and now i'm losing the crowd so i have to just the first eye contact and now i can just act like the whole time i was just talking to this person yeah and now they have
Starting point is 00:27:13 to uh you're the designated listener they have to hear it the entire time well everyone kind of they don't do that to me no more groups until little mini groups yeah and then you're looking for a partner you go fuck the fuck and then and then danny's just obviously like you just said gives crippling eye contact so once it's made it's made you know yeah well now i know exactly what you're talking about and that happens to me a lot i don't think that happens to me anymore there should be a short version a medium version and a long version of every story what about the preferred extra long version i mean what about what about the extra long version in the worst situation the worst situation for this also what also what if it's once the story's done
Starting point is 00:27:56 it's set again what about that story i also i mean i don't even know if i agree with every story needs a long version like what are you fucking writing a movie like what do you mean i think i'm the opposite now well like if you're just with one person yeah yeah then you know i know no no i totally disagree when you're with one person the long long's fine because you both bang long so get together that's what i'm saying i'm like when you're just one person the you know you might have some extra details that are definitely not necessary but they did that Unless it's the – unless it's a level of I got trapped on my balcony like an idiot in the freezing cold winter. Because then you want to hear every detail.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I don't want to hear the long of any story. Yeah, you also have to know what's interesting. Yeah, it's fair. And you also – on the person's face, you can tell when you're losing them. Yeah, some people can. Speak for yourself. Some people can. But I think –
Starting point is 00:28:45 No, you can definitely tell when you're losing people, and that's when you go, all right, I need to switch this from a medium version of the story to the extra short. Yeah, we used so much bandwidth in the beginning. Now maybe you have to skip a part. i think i'm the opposite now where i think my stories are too short i condense so hard because i'm trying just trying to get it out it's like plot point condense go and the double worst is somebody who here we go will have will be telling you a conversation telling you a story it goes on for quite a while you kind of break out of it and do something for like another five ten minutes and then all of a sudden they bring you back and they go so anyway it's like how
Starting point is 00:29:22 how was there an intermission in between now we're back to johnny now we're back to johnny now we're back to johnny we were bouncing between people there for a while ping pong having two acts in your story intermission yeah the intermission i thought when i thought i was safe that's when you pull pulls me back in yeah there's a fake sense of relief it's honestly kind of part of the story at this point but i'm so weird i feel like after a while i stop i Sometimes if I'm going too long or if I'm drunk or something, I stop the story and I'm like, I'm chewing your ear off. What the hell am I talking about? Who cares?
Starting point is 00:29:56 Like I've done that to myself before. Just a self-aware, like you don't care about this at all. No, I think it's okay to like abandon ship a story if you went, I didn't capture anyone with this. It's just like jump off. Just jump off. Check it next week. Let me go back and rework it. Honestly, let me just go crash the car again and just try to get the story better this time.
Starting point is 00:30:17 So I'd say that's some tips going into the new year. Did we give any tips? I think we just made fun of our friend. We just made fun of our friend just critiquing. I think you can learn from – there's nuggets of wisdom in there. There's nuggets of wisdom in anything you hear. It's true. It's true.
Starting point is 00:30:32 And it's your job to dig the nuggets out of whatever we said. You've got to be a prospector, an old prospector. A little oil pan. Whatever we say, there's some gold in there. No matter the size, it can always be worked with. How much time do we have on there? I can't see it from this angle. Really?
