Starting point is 00:00:00 didn't care those cockroaches there honestly you could have probably fed me one that chicken was so good that chicken was so good dude it was delicious i'm just saying don't be too quick to judge leave don't build walls leave the doors open well no you could close the doors just open them when you want don't leave anything don't leave doors open the lord left half the time when you're walking it's gonna slip ding dong and balls here and there anyway and now i'm just capturing capturing little like sneak peeks and glimpses all right ready i think we're in okay welcome back to the picky boys podcast we're we're in the few the far future right now i'm i'm i'm in utah with the mormons you're in utah right now right now i'm currently in utah with the mormons
Starting point is 00:00:41 he reading any books book a book a mormon yeah yeah yeah you've seen john jingleheimer smith right something like i think it's smith but his name was my name too john smith i think it's john I watched the play. I didn't make sure I wrote down notes. Well, either way, shout out to all our Mormons out there. Shout out to the Morms, dude. Shout out to the Morms. Three wives.
Starting point is 00:01:04 And what are you doing there? How many wives are you getting over there? I'm getting at least three. At least three? Probably four. I can't tell in the headphones. Jason's not here, so I'm doing both. I can't tell in the headphones.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Tap your mic. Oh, there he is. Now we hear him. Hello, hello, hello. You talked to him. Danny's way too loud, right, guys? We have to silence Danny. All right.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Danny's been silenced too many times. Was I silenced? No, wait. What is it? Was I silent or was I silenced? You're about to be both. I was silenced. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:32 No, we got to lower this bad boy a little bit, don't we? That's because I'm actually putting the microphone close to my mouth. Oh, it's almost like you've been doing it for almost six years. By the way, God. Excuse me? God robbed me a few days ago. God? The man.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Well, didn't he rob you a bunch of years ago? i don't i don't know what that is alluding to 2007 december 14th i was there but no i was i was on my way we went to a rave with martin actually and we were walking through the streets and all of a sudden right before we we enter this club we were going to a gust of wind comes really like the ferocious wind truly like one only god can send and takes my takes my hat right off my head up into the sky. It's not like it just
Starting point is 00:02:18 blew off and then rolled away. It went up into the sky and we looked for it for like 20 minutes. Which hat? Couldn't find it. Oh yeah, which hat?
Starting point is 00:02:26 I'm not going to say which hat. Is it a puzzle? It's not the pheasant hat, is it? No, it was a hat that one of the people sent.
Starting point is 00:02:34 It was the crocheted one? No, it was the lucky rabbit hat. Which is very upsetting because I really like that hat. I mean, what could you do?
Starting point is 00:02:42 It's gone. It's gone. We looked for it for a good 20 minutes. I'll tell you what. It's probably on top of a skyscraper. It could be. Yeah, it really could be. I'll be real honest.
Starting point is 00:02:50 After the first seven minutes, I'm probably stopped looking for the hat. 20 minutes is a while. Well, first of all, it ruined my night. Why? Because now I have a bunch of hot hair. I had to go into the bathroom where I wet my hair. Let it re-dry, girl. Let it re-dry.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Yeah, yeah. And I looked like a freak. I looked like I was taking a shower in the bathroom. You were taking a shower. You're taking a rave shower. I was taking a little rain shower. Yeah, a little, yeah. But yeah, it was just not fun, and I was very upset about it.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I'm confused how you look for a hat for 20 minutes. Like, the hat. We were on a street. Right, right. Right? It gets blown off your head. We were at the end of the street. It gets blown off my head up and back, backwards.
Starting point is 00:03:31 We turn around. We turn around. And you're seeing the hat. This is the hat. Okay. It's flying around, throwing around. Right, okay, okay. But you're seeing it, right?
Starting point is 00:03:40 Yeah. What was that? It took a left. It just goes up sometimes, and then it goes up. I don't know. And then it starts to drop. I'm losing sight of it, so that's how far away it is. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Did you start moving once it flew off your head, or were you just watching it and hoping it lands? We started moving. I started moving towards it, and then I was like, no. At first I did a little run, and then I stopped that. I shut that down. Right, right, right. Not for a hat.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Not for the hat, yeah. And then I was just looking. I was looking underneath cars. I was on the ground at one point. Question. Let's say later in the rave you see someone wearing it. What are you doing? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:04:16 I'd be so pissed off. The thing is – But they didn't do anything wrong. And how would you know it was your hat? I mean, I wouldn't know it was my hat. I mean, you wouldn't know. How many people have a lucky – No, I'd go up to them and probably ask, like, hey, where'd you get that hat?
Starting point is 00:04:29 And then – I don't know if you would. Just by their reaction, I'll know if it's my hat or not. Because if they went, well, that's so funny. i just found this hat then i'd be like actually that's mine hey did god give you that hat but if they said what do you mean i've always had this hat even though i i would think they were lying i probably wouldn't confront them i mean how can you confront them yeah i'm not because because what if what if by the off chance they actually did have the same hat as me now i'm now i'm a
Starting point is 00:05:01 crazy person this is what i'm saying also what if they just first of all if they just turned to danny and said finders keepers pussy he wouldn't he wouldn't do nothing no i wouldn't do anything i was i was very drunk honestly too so god coming into play there was the lead and there was no god at the end well it's because i've just never if it didn't feel like a gust of wind as much as as it felt like some invisible force going just taking it force of nature right right yeah it's like give me that head yeah i have a big head too it's not like these hats come off easily Right away. I think the problem is your head's so big you can't get it tight enough and they just fly.
Starting point is 00:05:39 That could be true. That could be true. They basically just fly. Well, that's my story. That's my tale. So he needs another hat. So you replace it with the EBITDA hat. Yeah, my EBITDA hat.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I'm a business major, just like Antonio. That's true. No, that's true. That's unfortunate. I'm Kemp. So did you and Martin have a good time? Yeah. No, you know, I forget.
Starting point is 00:06:00 I forget quickly. So it was a bad time. No, no, no. You forgot the hat. I forgot about the hat. I forget. I was upset for a while, and then I was like, you know what? It's a hat.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I'll have another one. I'll buy another one. You have another one right now. Have you ever lost something, like on a boat or something? On a boat? I don't know. For some reason, I thought about a boat, because I feel like that's where, like, oh, you're on the boat.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Your sunglasses fall off. It's over. Oh, I did. Yes. Oh, look at that. You flew that right into my face. God also I'm not searching for those though
Starting point is 00:06:36 God also struck me He struck me Yeah We were on a boat going I think we were in Croatia We were on a boat The sunglasses were the only thing That was going for my outfit
Starting point is 00:06:45 I don't know how to dress In Europe at all So the sunglasses Were the only thing that was cool He knows how to dress here Just not in Europe Once he crosses the border That's when the fashion
Starting point is 00:06:53 That's your outfit That's the fashion Going out the window Look at your outfit Oh this lovely jacket What's underneath A shirt Oh it's Mickey
Starting point is 00:07:00 Oh yeah Now it's fashion Now it's Antonio fashion What the hell Why is he It's a hidden mickey Why does he have a hidden mickey on It's an easter egg
Starting point is 00:07:08 No it's a hidden mickey It's already an easter egg Nevermind Either way Oh The gust of wind Glasses Right off
Starting point is 00:07:14 You were wearing them on your head Yeah they were on my head I almost Did a Instinct of like Oh But then I went a little bit
Starting point is 00:07:23 Almost went Jumped off A little bit A little accidentally Yeah I lost I lost a Fitbit Pretty much the same way On a boat
Starting point is 00:07:30 No yeah Well actually Yeah, I think I was water skiing, and then kind of dumbed down the Fitbit on while I'm water skiing, but I was trying to track my calories, man. You're so— And I fell, and then hit the water hard and came off. I'm not looking for that, though. How on earth can you look for that?
Starting point is 00:07:45 I'm not looking for it, yeah. Do they float? No. You're not flying? I'm not even— I'm not even looking for it. I don't even come off. I feel like that's more secure.
Starting point is 00:07:52 You hit the water hard. It probably shattered, honestly. I mean, water skiing can, like, drag you along the water pretty ferociously. Danny's got experience. I know. When JT tried to teach me how to water ski, the ocean almost took my pants. They did take your pants. I would have just been naked skiing.
Starting point is 00:08:08 It would have been. His ass was out? Yeah, briefly. Oh, my God. You must have seen the reflection of a thousand suns. I don't know what I would have done. I mean, I guess there's only one thing to do. What are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:08:18 You would have flashed the beach. How embarrassing. Look, it's a humpback whale. Oh, wait. It's just Danny's ass. It's my ass. Just Danny's ass. Unless he was on his back.
Starting point is 00:08:29 and then it'd look like, you know, Loch Ness Monster, maybe. Yeah, I'd be afraid of fish, like, snipping that. It's a lake, no? No, it's like a bay. Definitely fish, though. Sharks could be in there. Could be sharks. Is it a sound?
Starting point is 00:08:43 No, it's Long Island sound. Yeah. I don't know. That's a body of water, right? A sound? You make sound. I don't know water bodies. It would have been the funniest thing on the planet
Starting point is 00:08:55 if Danny lost just his entire bathing suit. Something funny about that It happens Did you wind up succeeding In the water skiing? No We were going to try again This summer
Starting point is 00:09:06 You know you don't succeed In most things in the water We think it's We think it's partially Because of the jet ski itself Yes We think if we were on a boat I'd be able to do it
Starting point is 00:09:14 Because I can ski So once I'm up It's you know Close enough The jet ski Like so it's a lot more Affected Like if you have
Starting point is 00:09:21 One, two, three people On the jet ski It makes a huge difference You had three people On the jet ski? You need two on it And one person water skiing You need one person
Starting point is 00:09:30 Sitting backwards Looking behind Being the spotter Going he's good He's good He's down Right Because if I'm driving
Starting point is 00:09:36 I can't constantly Be turning around That's a good point Is Danny still back there No that's a good point But so yeah When you have that many people On a jet ski
Starting point is 00:09:43 It really The acceleration Slows down a lot So if you have a boat It doesn't really affect it It's like a car Versus a motorcycle Motorcycles get up there
Starting point is 00:09:50 Anyway that's the theory We're going to try again We need a boat And we're going to try Making Danny water ski again Yeah it looks really fun On a boat absolutely you're losing your shorts that's that that would be true dude because i would almost
Starting point is 00:10:03 get up every time and i would just get waterboarded right yeah you'd have to be you have to fight through that for a second right yeah he was he was like a dolphin underwater for a bit and he would let go right yeah okay not very not very good in the water that is okay speaking of being naked um jason sent us he's not here but he's still influence influencing us he sent us a link to a golf course where you have to do the entire nine holes naked you have to that's what they said they said weather permitting you're required to be naked on links so on a snow day you don't have to or on a rainy day yeah i guess so probably not snow yeah i don't think you can play golf in the snow you can't really play golf in the rain drizzle i'll be honest if i was first of all if
Starting point is 00:10:48 i was invited to play golf that's already an iffy one for me if i got there and then everyone started stripping but what what are we playing wait golf or mini golf golf golf full golf i mean definitely sounds like a swingers haven here because old people play golf old people swing yeah but you're not swing the golf club that was yeah so i got you but i don't think uh you're not banging on the golf course no no no that's probably strictly not allowed it's more like after the 19th hole you know 19th and 20th 19th and 20th
Starting point is 00:11:20 I think he said it's nine holes oh yeah oh man how many times you bang it the 10th hole you guys are disgusting
Starting point is 00:11:25 no yeah the 10th hole disgusting would you do it I mean I probably I mean if I had to
Starting point is 00:11:31 I guess I have to it's sounding like a yes he would but if you got invited no one told you you showed up I mean then I'd be very upset
Starting point is 00:11:37 no they have to give you you have to prepare you can't just if he has to prepare he's going to say no and not go but now you're on the spot
Starting point is 00:11:45 now you're there I see Everyone else is already naked. That's a good point. That's a good point. I don't really understand the why behind this. Me neither. But just go with it, babe.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Why are we getting naked? It's not like it's helping our – it's not like – because there are certain sports where I can see, oh, maybe clothes inhibit your range of motion. Which one? Which one exactly? Running maybe? I'd say golf. People golf in like polos and slacks. Golf is one where it does inhibit your motion.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I'm not saying their outfits for the sport attire isn't dumb for what they do. Like even the professional, even Tiger Woods and everything, they're in polos and slacks. This is a good question. Is it? So skiing, no, swimming, professional swimming. Right. Barely have any clothes on anyway. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:25 You know, tiny little boop, tiny little boop. Okay, tiny little boop. Do you think that is actually more water dynamic than if you just had your jewels out? Your jewels out. I think it is more water dynamic. I would think so too. I bet Michael Phelps would have, you know, something dragging along. Exactly, and it would literally cause drag.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Exactly, it would cause drag. So that is actually one where the more clothes help you. No. Well, just one thing. Yeah, there's another limit where too many clothes will not help you anymore. That's true. Because, I mean, if the hair on your body is causing drag, your balls are going to cause drag. Right.
Starting point is 00:13:05 No, yeah, like a reverse fin or something. Yeah. I had to search this question kind of the other day. This question? No, not this one. More the one before. and it's one of those searches where you it's like i'm gonna do incognito because even though i don't have bad intentions i don't want this in my history i don't want anyone to see this
Starting point is 00:13:24 so i searched like why are nudists naked like i just i don't understand why like what's the what's the why they're probably a nature earth thing well i wasn't sure is it like a nature is it a sex thing i don't know no that's specifically not a sex thing come on you trust these guys kind of had this on the cruise this this is the whole cruise thing coming up again coming up to the cruise it's coming up on the cruise i searched it and uh what they say they said your bullshit answer the fuck did what am i doing the fucking nature shit oh it's about being free it's like okay yeah i think it's about it makes sense you know i think it's about seeing some pop-ups i think it's about seeing some tattoos as well also it's how we came out so
Starting point is 00:14:01 maybe they're just like go back to how we came out i didn't pop out in full suit i also like a I feel like just like a tunic. Wait, what's a tunic again? A loincloth? Yeah, like just a loincloth. Isn't a tunic the top half? Yeah, sorry, a tunic's the top half. The loincloth.
Starting point is 00:14:21 The little square patch. The little square patch is modest, but also gives you the hanging nature gravity feeling. You might as well be naked. I mean, that's not true. You absolutely might as well be naked. if i wore a loincloth around you'd see what's the point of me wearing it you'll literally say what's the point of me wearing it i i think if you were next to somebody on a plane i don't know
Starting point is 00:14:44 why they're if we're on a plane but if you were next to somebody on a plane you were in the middle seat and there's two people next to you why am i and both of them are naked with the balls just like and or or they're they have a little nice loincloth on which one would you rather be next to i had options there yeah oh that's completely naked honestly completely no no no i'll tell you why i'll tell you why i'll tell you why because the loincloth is the loincloth half the time when you're walking it's gonna slip ding dong and balls here and there anyway and now i'm just capturing capturing little like sneak peeks and glimpses yeah i'd rather all right show me the fucking balls yeah and then it'll be over i think he's right i think that's still more modest the
Starting point is 00:15:27 Blowing cloths, it's modesty. Don't call it modesty. More modest by what? 0.07%? It's an attempt at modesty. It's an attempt to get me to look more at your balls. Jason, pull up blowing cloths. Yeah, Jason, put up blowing cloths.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I don't know. Where's Jason? Jason has salmonella. Huh? Jason has salmonella. You know- He ate a chicken? He said he got it from Popeye's.
Starting point is 00:15:48 No, are you serious? I think so. I don't know. Isn't that really bad? I don't- Really bad? You're going to be very sick. Do you eat raw cookie dough?
Starting point is 00:15:58 First of all, can you actually do that? Because I ate raw cookie dough all the time. Me too. And it was so goddamn good. Was that a lie to get kids to not do that? Do you actually get salmonella from that? I mean, I guess you could because it has eggs in it, right? Raw eggs.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Yeah, I think every egg raw has a 1 in 10,000 chance of having salmonella. But cooking it would kill it. I'll take that. There's no way I'm eating 9,999 pieces of cookie dough. I'll be fine. But also, I didn't do that last year. i didn't have a piece of cookie dough during christmas oh is that something you every year you do i feel like that's when you make cookies i guess so when's the last time you had raw cookie
Starting point is 00:16:37 dough uh they actually sell it at 7-eleven there's like balls of raw cookie dough yeah that's for for eating not for cooking but those probably don't have the egg in it was it during christmas no damn it okay never mind it was delicious when salmon no um i don't know because jason also he'll like his stomach will hurt and you'll say oh i have the bubonic plague yeah and i i'm i'm out i'm out for a month so i don't know i was gonna say this seems like a web this seems like a web md diagnosis it seems like oh the popeyes i had isn't sitting well with me so i have salmonella poisoning no it probably said it could be are you tired does your tummy hurt it could be salmonella just like i have salmonella yeah yeah that means jason has salmonella all the time he's also oh
Starting point is 00:17:23 shitty i was gonna say he's not gonna see this absolutely editing this sorry jason it's just it's just a tummy ache you'll be fine i think oh he's gonna text you he's gonna text you he's gonna text you editing this and just insult you be like no i have salmonella if you could remember the exact piece of chicken that gave it to you i'll believe you oh true did you eat one and go well i didn't like that piece i would do that i did one time yeah and i got unbelievable food poisoning from it but sometimes it's just in your head you eat it i don't know i i remembered that piece i I was at a barbecue, and I was having skirt steak, and I was so violently sick for the next four days. And in my head, the only thing I could see is that one piece of steak I really 50-50'd on, and I lost that coin toss.
Starting point is 00:18:03 So I imagine that it's a survival thing. My body, like, that was the piece. Like, my body knows which piece it was. I had that same exact scenario, but it was with weed instead. Because me and my – this is, like, when I, you know, high school, like, early on, first dabbling with weed. and we're packing a bowl and this is probably like my 10th or 11th time smoking and i remember we were like opening the bag and there's something weird in it something that just did not look right it was like brown and strange and we're like what is that i don't know just put it in we put it in
Starting point is 00:18:33 and i had the worst experience of my life i thought i was locked in a time loop just over and over again like experiencing the same thing walking walking into through a door and coming back into the same room i was probably just sitting on the couch the whole time and imagining it but This guy just saw his laced weed and said, you know what, it's probably fine. Pretty much, yeah. Sounds like he had, like, some kind of something else. I don't know. I have no idea what it was to this day.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I wonder what time, I wonder what year, because there was a time frame where our friend said that exact thing happened to him smoking weed. I wonder if there was just a bad batch out and about somewhere. Like, the time loop. Oh, yeah, I remember that. Yeah, it was Johnny. i kind of don't believe the if you like ate one i don't know when people say they got food poisoning from somewhere i always think how do you know it was from that place that's the only thing you ate the past 24 hours that's what i'm saying i feel like you remember your body tells
Starting point is 00:19:29 you your body tells you and a lot of people will also never go back to that place again like if they get food poisoning once from that place and i don't really get that oh that is i think it's completely fair i don't really get that it's like it's like uh you know what are the what are the chances it's gonna happen again especially pretty high especially if you get it from like a chain oh you're not gonna go to any popeyes ever again okay that's it's a popeyes they sell like millions of chickens a day and you you got it once and so now you're swearing it off it makes no sense how sure are we that makes no sense of chickens a day they probably sell millions of pieces of chicken a day oh now we're quantifying per piece that's probably true i i still think
Starting point is 00:20:10 that would be fair i don't think that's i still think it'd be fair okay but it's fair for jason to say i'm not going to that popeyes anymore yeah that's not how you started this why is that not fair what do you mean he's still not he's not great because it because i i just i just don't think that it's i just don't think i don't know i don't think it's fair what have you got it twice Then it's totally fair. Why? What's the difference? Fool me once, shame on you. That's totally fair.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Fool me twice, shame on me. I just don't think that it's likely to happen again, and I might be missing out on a good restaurant just because they've had one bad day. Like, do you think every kitchen in America, every restaurant kitchen, has sent out one thing that has got somebody sick? That's actually a pretty good question. What do you mean, sick? Do you mean food poisoning?
Starting point is 00:20:59 Yeah, I guess so. Okay. Because I think allergy stuff probably shouldn't count in that. No, no, no, that doesn't count. Or, you know, like they were on the toilet the whole night. Yeah, like just food poisoning or just like a stomach ache or, you know, something. Stomach ache? Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Now what? This guy just can't handle Mexican food and that counts? Yeah. I don't know. The point is I bet a lot of them have done it once by accident, and I don't think that you should just banish that restaurant for that one bad experience. Don't listen. Totally fair to banish a restaurant after getting food poisoning.
Starting point is 00:21:27 But let's say every restaurant in the U.S. ever sent out five of those dishes. Yes. What does that matter at all? What I'm saying is that I just try not to put up walls, you know. I try not to, because what if, okay, yes, this place got me food poisoning. Right. But I really would have loved that place, so I should go back. And now I'm swearing it off.
Starting point is 00:21:53 You know what I mean? like what if what if what if your favorite restaurant 20 you've been there 20 times in the past month 20 times in the past month okay and on the 21st time you got food poisoning would you swear off that restaurant or no because you already or because you already like it i'll tell you why are you swearing off this other place just because it happened to me the first time it's unfair it's unfair to the institution and i got it so it's 100 food poisoning rate it's It's unfair to the institution. I would swear off that type of food, though, from there.
Starting point is 00:22:28 I would do that. Okay, so like, oh, let me try the lobster today. Boom, sick. Never getting that again. I think that's fair. That's more fair? I think it's, but there's a little bit of double standard here because you're not going to swear off your favorite restaurant
Starting point is 00:22:39 just because you already have an allegiance to it. Well, it's not that. It's like... A little bit of a double standard. No, no, it's time put in. If I went to a brand new place and the first time I went, you know, we have no rapport. There's no, there's no, oh, maybe, maybe.
Starting point is 00:22:50 and then i got food poisoning from there the first try like okay no over gone first impressions count danny i made them count and i try to do this even if i don't get food poisoning if i go to a restaurant and i if i go to a restaurant and i don't like i don't like the thing i get i will always try to go back to that restaurant restaurant one more time just because it's so different just because you know i'm not i'm not i'm just not trying to judge anything by one experience you're a two-try guy i'm a two-try guy two-try guy i'm a two-try guy and sometimes that's hard because some places actually do suck and you go back and you're going to them twice and you go back and you go back the second time and you go all right well the where the smokers
Starting point is 00:23:29 fire because it's awful this place sucks ass and then i'll never go back no but here it depends because okay if you go if you go to this new restaurant and you get the lobster bisque and you go okay this wasn't that good well it's a fucking lobster bisque like not a lot of people order that it's kind of a specialty if you go to a place and get a burger and that sucks i'm not like oh maybe they have a bad burger burger's a staple man that's true no you're right i'm getting a staple item and and and they fuck it up then they're not they're probably fucking up everything i agree with that there are certain core tenants that you have and you got food poisoning from that and oh that's yeah that's not good i'm just saying don't be too quick to judge leave don't build
Starting point is 00:24:10 walls leave the doors open well no you could close the doors just open them when you want Don't leave anything. Don't leave doors open. You might have Danny strolling in. What if your favorite restaurant, you're sitting down, and you saw a little mouse or a rat? Would you go back? Totally fine.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Totally fine? We're in New York. Dude, I just think in my head that that's what every kitchen looks like. Like Ratatouille? He goes and jumps under the hat. I think everyone has had a little cockroach right there. See, there is something about a rat that'd be tough. That's more aggressive than a mouse.
Starting point is 00:24:45 That'd be tough. Especially in the dining area, that's not good. That'd be tough. That's not good. Because at least if you have a rat problem, at least keep it to the kitchen. Like, keep it out of sight of me. Don't have it – the rat problem is so bad, it's in the dining room. I know they don't want that rat in the dining room.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I know that. So with their best efforts, the rat's still in the dining room? That's a problem. I've been to so many different grocery stores, and I finally found one that has, like, the best gluten-free stuff. They have a whole gluten-free aisle, and I love going there. And last time I was there, I did see a little mouse, and I went, it's worth it. It's still worth it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:19 It's worth it to keep going here because of the gluten-free stuff. I mean, what are they going to do? It almost seems like just an inevitable problem. You're this huge store with all this food, like one of these packages bound to be open, and that will attract things from all over the world. No, that's okay. What I'm more worried about is I got a lot of meat from there, and like the meat packing section. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:42 I don't want mice crawling around on my beef. Yeah, that's true. Doesn't want mice on his beef. Yeah. My friend's mom saw a cockroach walk across some place, a food place that I really, really like to go to. That didn't stop me. But also, it was a half case of non-trustworthy author or narrator.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I didn't care. You know that place in Queen Center Mall, the chicken place? Mm-hmm. Like the Japanese kind of chicken thing? No, I don't know. Not Japanese. Maybe it's like Chinese. Korean?
Starting point is 00:26:14 Korean. Is it Korean fried chicken? You know, you get the extra teriyaki with the chicken, like that place, with the rice. I mean, that's every— Double meat. Sarku Japan? Is it Sarku Japan? Yeah, it's like a chain.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Yes, that one. Didn't care those cockroaches there. Honestly, you could have probably fed me one. That chicken was so good. That chicken was so good. Dude, it was delicious. But if it gave me food poisoning, not going back. Yeah, I don't mind, though, if the cockroaches or the mice are, like, eating the crumbs that are all over the place.
Starting point is 00:26:40 I just don't want them sharing The food with me Right Especially in a mall Then it's like not even That business's fault Like No not at all
Starting point is 00:26:49 Who knows if it's Sour Sarku Japan's fault Or you know The Chipotle next door's fault Or the McDonald's On the other side Exactly There's
Starting point is 00:26:55 It could be a billion people's fault And it's probably one of them I'm sure it's one of them Hmm No You know there's If you ever go out For a walk at night
Starting point is 00:27:04 Like around our neighborhood There's just cockroaches Everywhere You seen them? Yeah Everywhere You seen them Like, they're on the corner.
Starting point is 00:27:11 No, they're just, like, on the sidewalk. If you go out at night, like, 1 a.m., you'll literally, and you look around, you'll literally just see them everywhere. Especially after the rain. Yeah. I don't think. First of all, why stop going around and looking for cockroaches? I'm just saying. It's actually kind of, like, concerning because you can, like, walk.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Like, I've, like, walked to the deli, and then I walk back, and on the walk back, like, I see one, and then I start to realize, oh, my God, they're actually everywhere. Yeah, everywhere. Like, I hate when I do that. You ever see one bug, and you go, oh, a bug, and then you see another one immediately? You're like, wait, there's a lot of bugs, actually. One bug's just a bug. If you see two, it's a bug problem. It's a bug problem, exactly.
Starting point is 00:27:49 You grew up here, man. I'm surprised you haven't seen them. No, it's a little bug family. When you see the extended relatives, when it's like four or five bugs, that's a bug problem. In my parents' house in New Jersey, they have a ladybug problem. Oh, that's so cute, though. It's cute until it's like, there's a lot of ladybugs here. a ladybug is just a beetle but it's so cute it doesn't bother you it does have it looks nice
Starting point is 00:28:12 it does have very cute little spots it is it is cute and i'm definitely i'd be i'd be horrified if i saw like beetle other beetles yeah and i'd be like oh that's gross but because they're lady bugs i'm like all right but they're red and black beetles like i tried i tried to not kill them like i tried to open the door and get out oh my god how many would you say oh like a lot that doesn't help me that doesn't help me at all i don't i didn't find the nest okay five to ten ten to twenty twenty to one hundred probably i mean throughout the house probably like i don't know over 20 for sure that's a that's a that's a lot of that's not hundreds it's not hundreds well you'll just you'll just see them they're in the house yeah you know when i used to live down here right in
Starting point is 00:28:55 this spot was my bed i don't know new people i don't know if you know that right here um we would see little bugs in like the corners and we just kill them you know there's a bug or two and then we just kept seeing them just kept seeing them um it turns out they were called weevils and they're attracted to cardboard and my dad had these old boxes of pasta he never threw out and then i realized like oh yeah i know i was killing probably a couple a night and then I looked around the corners of like the floor
Starting point is 00:29:28 oh my god they were everywhere they were actually you had a weevil problem they probably crawled on you in your sleep probably honestly
Starting point is 00:29:36 probably they were I found one in the bed and that's when I went okay that's enough now you're intruding on my private space and then I looked around
Starting point is 00:29:43 and oh they were literally everywhere and then exterminator came still didn't fix the problem exterminator came twice that fixed the problem why would the problem be fixed the first time
Starting point is 00:29:52 you tell me three two one never does Weevils They're gross They look like You know like the Stink bugs
Starting point is 00:29:58 They look like that But very very tiny They have like that Long horn kind of thing Long horn You know like the horn Do they battle I thought stink bugs
Starting point is 00:30:06 I didn't What do stink bugs look like Oh maybe I'm thinking about Stink bugs They're like I think they're called Like Chinese water bugs Or something
Starting point is 00:30:12 They're the pentagon ones What he said Those are stink bugs Wait My phone's gone But you know what I'm talking about Like you see a bug's life Yeah
Starting point is 00:30:22 You know the big one oh yeah what was it oh dude this is what you had in your basement oh yeah yeah oh wait wait wait for some reason i thought you were talking about you know the little tiny like roly-poly bugs that's what i thought you were talking absolutely not that i would have oh yeah those are kind of cute these are disgusting yeah but those live like under rocks i don't if they were in my it was a house weevil oh this was exactly it this was exactly this one this thing that was that long snout yeah it looked like actually look more like an anteater uh no so what i'm talking about apparently they're bad for crops very bad i had no crops don't know why you ever seen these in
Starting point is 00:31:02 your house oh yes yes that's a stink bug or like a chinese water bug i think it's called they smell actually isn't that what they do yeah if you kill them they smell supposedly i mean my deterrent why do they have uh what is it oh i forgot what it's called when you drop a grenade when you die in COD? Oh, yeah. Martyrdom? Martyrdom? That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:31:22 They have a martyrdom. No, but they do have martyrdom because I can't smell them. People do say they smell. But when you squash them, they attract more. So it's like a never-ending cycle. Why do they have these passive buffs?
Starting point is 00:31:36 Yeah, they have a passive buff. So what you got to do, counter it as you flush them down the toilet. Problem solved. So I had a problem with that in college. They were everywhere, bro. I slept with them and everything. But I would just capture them
Starting point is 00:31:49 flush him down the toilet what'd he say he's like what the i saw a couple stink bugs in college what do you want from me honestly you know red flag in a relationship is sleeping with somebody who captures bugs and then puts them like directly outside what are we doing here i don't think that's true i think that's a red flag why i understand not wanting to kill it but you're just essentially like giving it a challenge to find its way back into this house do they also say while walt's picking it up come on little buddy i sure yeah okay that's starting to get red flag to me too and i'm sure it's a green flag for like morality or something but but for me i don't want like i don't want that this bug in my house and i don't want it outside of my house
Starting point is 00:32:38 either you don't want it on your property outside of your house is fine yeah but i don't want like I'm right outside, and now it's just going to come back in. Because it liked your house so much. I always assume when bugs, like people are like, oh, my God, it's the winter. Why are there bugs around? I'm like, that's why they're here. They're coming for warmth. They're just looking for a place to chill.
Starting point is 00:32:58 I do that, but it depends on the bug. Like spiders, I'll do that for them because they're going to get rid of more flies. Oh, yeah, I've heard this too. So I'll capture them and let them outside. I don't think it's stupid. Lady bugs, they're too cute. I'm not going to squish a lady bug. I will capture it and put it outside.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Now moths or flies or whatever Those are getting squished I don't care if they get rid of bugs Get rid of them all Just get rid of them all Well okay Now you're gonna have more flies Because you got rid of the spiders
Starting point is 00:33:20 I won't have flies You made them extinct I won't have flies What about praying mantis You gonna kill it It's illegal First of all You gonna kill it
Starting point is 00:33:25 Or you gonna let it outside Who is gonna catch me Who's gonna catch me If I kill a praying mantis Who's gonna catch me Your phone's spying on you That's how you're gonna kill it For some reason
Starting point is 00:33:34 The bigger the bug The more The worse I feel about killing it honestly Why I don't know It's so something attached to my like my moral complex like if i see a gnat i'll kill it i don't even think about it but if i saw like a long centipede i'll get the fuck at that thing was it because you don't want to kill or you're
Starting point is 00:33:52 too scared to kill it probably a mixture of both but that is that is a bug like a big centipede is a bug that like okay maybe you take outside far away he just said that was a red far away far away so you're a red flag now too i i'm just saying if you're gonna do that you can't just put it outside like you have to put i'll put on your shoes and take this creature at least a block or why don't you just make at least or why don't you just make it easy you do this and just catapult wait and launch it what does that matter that should be fun enough that's feels like cruel it's a bug if they land you could drop an ant from an empire stapling i think it'd be all right i don't think that's how it works i think that's a fact if yeah if you drop an ant from the top
Starting point is 00:34:33 the Empire State Building, it'll be okay. Really? Yeah. Why is that? Size. Their terminal velocity isn't high enough to kill them.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Thank you, JT. The speed that they would reach dropping them from five feet is the same as a thousand feet. Yeah. The Empire State Building is a little bigger than that. So you can just drop an ant
Starting point is 00:34:48 from a plane and it'll be fine? Yeah. I think so. So my point is the catapult. And then the next example in the same probably graphic we saw, the next example is an elephant.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Can't drop an elephant from the Empire State Building because the terminal velocity thing. Not good. Not good. Not good. Yeah. What about...
Starting point is 00:35:07 Or any other animal, probably. A cat. They land on their feet. You cannot drop a cat from the Empire State Building. Well, they land on their feet. They say you can. I don't really believe it. You can drop a cat eight times.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Excuse me? Cats have jumped off buildings and been fine. Jumped off 10-story buildings and stuff and been fine. Empire State Building, a little bigger. I think... Like, they're not fucking immune. I think they can still break their legs and shit. Can't they arch their back and make a little parachute with their body?
Starting point is 00:35:31 A little bit, yeah. I think so, they can do that. But there's a lot of fat cats out there, too. Well, you can't throw Garfield off. Garfield's not doing nothing. Fat cats go splat. Everyone knows that. I don't believe what I'm hearing here.
Starting point is 00:35:43 So I could throw a cat? You should not allow a cat. I could throw a skinny cat off the Empire State Building and it would survive? That's what people say. You would need a stretchy cat. I don't believe that. Extra skin flaps would help, probably. I don't believe that.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I don't know if that's true. I don't know if that's true. And whether or not it died, regardless, it would still land on its feet. That's true. Because they're good at that. And if it died, it was on its ninth life anyway, right? And I'll tell you this. They definitely say that about squirrels.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Squirrels, you could toss them out of planes. You'll be fine. I don't know if they say that about squirrels. You could throw a squirrel off the Empire State Building. Well, squirrels have the wingsuits. No, it's a flying squirrel. What's the difference? No, they're all the same.
Starting point is 00:36:25 No, they are different creatures. Are they? I mean, this is crazy. I don't believe any of this. what about a mouse we don't have a fact checker right now mice mice i could throw a mouse off the empire state why are you throwing them i don't know why are you i think i'm more just like drop well actually the empire state boom and the way it's made you have to throw a little bit of a push a little uphand uh i think you throw a mouse
Starting point is 00:36:53 if i read that diamond the diagram the same way he did yeah that's true i actually have to throw it up so that i don't affect its terminal velocity because that would ruin the integrity of the experiment exactly i took a mouse and just threw it at the ground it wouldn't survive that yeah this is this is some morbid morbid pet death episode no no they'd all live i guess they're not pets the cats the cats are and also people have mice as pets you do people have bugs as pets honestly get him he's talking about throwing animals off the empire state building so Someone get him in the comments. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:28 People have tarantulas as pets. I guess we could end with whatever we want. We can end right now, can't we? Yep. JT, tell them where to find you. Thank you, everybody. Oh, we didn't even plug the Patreon in this episode. Crazy.
