Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back to the Picky Boys Podcast. How you doing? I'm doing good. How you doing? It is almost Thanksgiving, and so the Halloween slash fall merch is about to go away forever. We're never bringing any of these styles back. We're never going to put them on a shirt ever again. Or a crew neck.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Or a crew neck, or whatever. So if you want any of that merch, get it now while you still can. And next week, around Thanksgiving time, there will be new Christmas winter merch. Christmas winter merch. Whoa. Welcome back to the Piggy Boys podcast. Is that a fucking Arizona hard seltzer? This is an Arizona spiked beverage.
Starting point is 00:00:42 It's not a hard seltzer. It's a spiked iced tea. But it's hard, though. It's hard. It is hard. Every company is getting hard. You know, Simply Lemonade is getting hard, too. Maybe we should get hard.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I'm already hard. Oh, good. 5% alcohol volume, $3.50. See, everything about that sounded so good until I read green tea. Yeah, no, this is the worst one. But it was the only one they had. The peach tea is phenomenal. Really, give it a try.
Starting point is 00:01:09 So Arizona is really stepping up the game here. So is Simply Lemonade. Simply Lemonade has a hard thing, too. Yeah, but they have about a bit. I mean, this has no sugar, like nutrients. Yeah, my dick. No, it has no nutrients. It has no nutrients.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Simply Lemonade doesn't have nutrients. It has no nutritional facts, that's what I'm trying to say. Oh, that weird. That means it's bad, because every single thing has nutritional facts. Not alcohol. No, alcohol for some reason... Bro, bro, what are you talking about? The back of a...
Starting point is 00:01:31 Simply does on the box. No, you're wrong. But not on the can. No, you're wrong. I am not wrong. Bro, fucking Tito's has the nutrition facts on the back now. Yeah, but legally, I don't think they have to. They don't have to.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Right, but that makes them uncool. Because it's not on a Bud Light. Yeah, but that makes them uncool. You know, like, now we're at a standard where if things don't have nutritional facts, it makes it like... It does seem shady. Yeah, because half the things have nutritional facts now. But a regular green tea in Arizona has like 33 grams of sugar,
Starting point is 00:01:58 so I'm sure this is obscene. Can I taste it? Let me taste to make sure it's okay. What does that mean? What does that mean? You use a poison taste tester? Yeah. It tastes like peanuts.
Starting point is 00:02:09 It tastes like penis? What the fuck does that mean? It tastes like penis? Peanuts. Do you like green tea? I got a hint of shaft for sure. how has arizona managed to escape inflation it's been 99 cents for so long no i think it's a dollar 50 now no it's not no it's 99 cents not those no not those that's 375 it's 99 cents and
Starting point is 00:02:30 you when you print it on the can it really solidifies you know what yeah you're making a commitment absolutely you know what made no sense about arizona too it was 9.99 and i handed a dollar and i got back a penny where'd the tax go it's all built in well doesn't well tax doesn't apply to food right oh that was stupid no no no no no no unless it's unless it's cooked like restaurant whatever i thought i thought that wasn't quite a grocery so a coke doesn't have tax we talk well it has the bottle deposit i thought i thought i thought i'd make chicken has tax That's what I said. That's a prepared food.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Denny knows that. Prepared food. It's supposed to be a dollar, but all of a sudden, oh, it's $1.08. And then this bitch is asking me for a fucking three pennies. It's like, it's on the dollar menu. I'm handing you a dollar. Why do I need more? How else do you get a weight?
Starting point is 00:03:22 Maybe not New York. I thought for sure that groceries weren't taxed, which Arizona would fall under groceries. There's the bottle deposit, though. This can't be true. Wait, so I'm paying for the bottle deposit? Yeah, until you return it. That's why it's deposited. If you return the can, you can get your five cents back.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Oh, wait. So I'm not – if I collect a bunch of cans, I'm not making money. I'm just – Well, no. If you collect cans that you bought, you're not making money. I need one more that – I need one more can than the amount I bought. That's why people collect other people's cans because – All right.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Ready? Okay. Sorry. Finish that. Continue. Because most people – He said continue. And you called me stupid, and I found the answer.
Starting point is 00:03:56 He said continue for himself. Because most people collect other people's cans because they're not redeeming their five cents. How many cans is a dollar if each can is five cents? That's just math. That's 20 cans. 20. 20 cans. How many cans can a 10-gallon bag fit?
Starting point is 00:04:15 Because I've seen people strolling with like six 10-gallons. That's 60 gallons of cans. 20 cans, at least 200 cans. What's 200 divided by five? Go. Three, two. No, it's 10 bucks, 20 cans. What's 200?
Starting point is 00:04:28 Danny, what's 200 divided by five? 200 divided by five? Why are you asking me this? 200 cans, 5 cents a can What's 200 divided by 5? 200 cans, 5 cents a can We went to brunch before this What's the answer?
Starting point is 00:04:46 What was the question? What is 200 divided by 5? Danny! No, no, no, I know, I know 40 Wait, wait, what? No What's
Starting point is 00:05:01 Final answer Stop. Hold on, hold on. Final answer. What's 200 divided by five? We stopped JT's good rant on this. No, no. I need you to stop.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I'm crying. Stop JT. I just want an answer. Quick. Three, two, one, go. What's the answer? 200 divided by five. What are you laughing at?
Starting point is 00:05:22 200. Okay. So we'll split it into. Danny. 200 divided by five. That's it. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yeah. Anyway, what's going on? Give an answer. Give an answer. Give an answer. Come on, for the people. Give an answer, please. You can't do 200 divided by five?
Starting point is 00:05:41 Is that what you're asking? No, I can do this. I'm just, we went to brunch before this. Just, I need an answer, at least for the clip. It was a great brunch, by the way. For the clip, I need an answer, at least. 200 divided by five, what is it? Honestly.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Yes. Is it not 40? It is 40. It is 40. It is 40. Yeah, that's what I said, you fucking bitch. And you said you maybe doubt it. That's how I did it for you.
Starting point is 00:06:04 He shouldn't be able to make you doubt basic division. He shouldn't be able to do that. Listen. But what I'm saying is, first of all, you better come correct next time. Because you can't call me stupid when you're wrong. You can't call the right person stupid. I have never come correctly. In New York, grocery items are generally exempt from sales tax if they meet the following criteria.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Sold for human consumption. Okay. Sold unheated. So like I said, prepared food wouldn't count. So like a cold banana. What? Yeah, what about refrigerated? It's just as unheated.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Or like an ice cream. Like ice cream. Or Arizona. Again, that's grocery. Or frozen. But it's cold. What about a frozen pizza? Cold is unheated.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And frozen pizza is unheated. I understand that, but I'm saying, is it just about... It didn't say you can't change the temperature. It has to be room temperature or else it's taxed. I wouldn't be surprised if the IRS did something like that. I'm just asking. So you're saying a banana is untaxed? Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:53 What about... Sold in the same form and condition, quantities, and packaging as is commonly used by retail food stores. So is an avocado untaxed? I think so, yeah. What about a shrimp platter? I guess it depends
Starting point is 00:07:10 how it's prepared. If you're ordering a shrimp platter at a restaurant... No, no, no. The ones at Stop and Shop. What about... Someone still prepares that in the back, though.
Starting point is 00:07:18 But also, is that served as the quantity of... What was the rest of that? Well, and... I don't know. What about a block of cheese? The quantity means like... So if they order like a package of something maybe, and then you like divide it into – you take them all out of the box and sell them that way, then you've like divided it.
Starting point is 00:07:36 But also I also don't know how this applies because this is New York State, which has the 4.5% sales tax. New York City has their own 4% sales tax. I don't know if that applies to groceries. So if I buy an unroasted chicken, it doesn't get taxed. Do you buy raw chicken? But if I buy a roasted chicken, it gets taxed. That doesn't make any sense. Speaking of that, have you seen the guy who ate a chicken, a whole entire rotisserie
Starting point is 00:08:00 chicken every day for 40 days? Yeah, why did that guy get any screen time? I don't know. Screen time. I thought they were going to say he ate it for 400 days. It was only 40 days. Bro, I feel like I've done that. I guarantee you there are hundreds of thousands of people in America who do that on the daily
Starting point is 00:08:15 and get no credit. And no TikTok viral ability. To me, that is the same as someone going to a beach and saying, oh, I'm going to eat an Oreo a day. It's the same thing. And then the last one, he posted, like, flyers all over Philadelphia, and a bunch of people came and watched him eat the last chicken. Listen, I don't know how many people went, so I don't know how many views I'm losing with this statement. If you went to go see that guy eat a roasted chicken on the 40th day, get a job.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Go do something, anything else. You're talking to me, because I totally would have gone to see that guy. I know you would have gone. And honestly, same thing applies, maybe. It's also, it's not a difficult, like, roasted chickens are delicious. Yeah. Or rotisserie chicken. Eating a whole rotisserie chicken isn't a feat.
Starting point is 00:08:56 If he ate a whole roasted chicken dipped in the bomb sauce or something, like from Hot Ones, or it had razor blades in it. Or if he ate five every day. I'd be like, wow, that's a lot of chicken. Everyone watched him go have dinner. He just ate something normal. I know, he was on the news and shit. I was like, what is happening?
Starting point is 00:09:14 Who is this guy? It's like eight bucks for a rotisserie chicken. It's not even like he's spending a lot of money. It's a good deal. Is it really eight bucks? That's so crazy. 95 with tax though because it's cooked rotisserie chicken i love rotisserie chicken isn't that crazy that they can raise a whole animal they can raise a whole chicken and cook it and kill it and
Starting point is 00:09:33 cook it and pluck it and all that eight bucks they give you eight bucks imagine like we were sir like our life i gotta be at least 100 oh man yeah i'd be upset you're probably 100 i'm probably like 90 well they think we think who's they they're chickens we think we think well they think we think the people you're eating chickens debatable but they think but if it's debatable that means i can convince you that they might be able to think i mean they can definitely think but what is the extent of yeah what do they think about this no like they're not questioning like oh where's my cock god you know
Starting point is 00:10:13 or chicken god or that rooster you said the word cock on purpose because you knew it would ruin us we knew it would laugh I win the argument
Starting point is 00:10:20 no I mean I don't know same thing with turkeys do you think turkeys know it's Thanksgiving holy shit last around this time
Starting point is 00:10:28 last year hundreds of my friends were butchered you see I think they might know that like I think like animals know trends okay so it's getting
Starting point is 00:10:37 a little colder this my left feather is raising a bit hundreds of us are going to die. I think they know that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Does that make sense? Like, like, like, evolutionary. They have a little fear, yeah. They have animal instincts. You know, like, how we're afraid of, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:52 like, corners or something? Like, we're afraid of, like, going to bed. We're afraid of sleeping with our back towards the door. Or looking for your feet or off the bed. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:11:00 It's because, like, someone's going to grab you. Yeah, it's because a jaguar used to kill us in our sleep. Like, we still have that, we still have that in us. So they have that in them because of Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:11:08 Well, whatever the pilgrims did caused the turkeys to have problems, you know, whatever they had at Thanksgiving. I think they just have a general sense like, just like the fucking feathers on the back of their neck stand up when they know they're about to be killed. Yeah, they have like a turkey sense. But there's an earthquake or a tsunami
Starting point is 00:11:22 like all the animals know before we do. Yeah, before there's a hurricane, a bunch of people in nursing homes are like, I can feel it coming! Because they watch the news. No, because people with arthritis can feel the rain coming. Oh, their trichne acts up. That's true.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Because a drop in, like, pressure in the air. Yeah, no, they can feel it coming. My grandma used to be like, a storm's coming, and I was like, you don't know what day it is. Let's go. How do you know this? You still think I'm an astronaut, grandma. And she was right. You know, a broken clock
Starting point is 00:11:53 is right twice a day. And I feel like weathermen are never, weather people are never usually right. Sick gender, sick gender catch. There's a lot of weather people. You guys say this, but weather people are right most of the time. He's a weather person. They are right
Starting point is 00:12:09 most of the time. They are wrong. You notice the one they're wrong because obviously that's upsetting. You don't notice when they're right, which is 80% of the time. Every time I have planned a party. What do you think the percentage is?
Starting point is 00:12:20 Seven. I don't know. Probably 80. Oh! Oh! Listen, if it was 50-50, I could go up there and just do it. I think you can.
Starting point is 00:12:28 No. Also, also, also, also. Whoa, whoa. They're meteorologists. What are they meteoring? Yeah. That's an odd choice of name. What are they doing?
Starting point is 00:12:36 They're not studying asteroids. You're telling me that the person who's telling me the weather is going and looking at knobs and syllabuses and shit? They're in college? I was talking about the knobs that move. Abacus? Abacuses and shit. You're not using an abacus. Do you use an abacus to –
Starting point is 00:12:53 I don't know. Abacus is what children use to count. You need one of those. My point is, so they're doing abacuses and shit and telling me when it's going to rain? Or does someone do it for them and they just relay the news? No, no, no. They are the – Bullshit.
Starting point is 00:13:05 They have a team. No, I agree with that. It's probably right here. That's what they say. Yeah, a lot of people say a lot of things. I've bought many fake shoes. My point is, I think it's all bullshit. That's why two meteorologists, two weather channels can have differing opinions.
Starting point is 00:13:19 And they can both be wrong. Meteorologists, they definitely have ghostwriters for sure. That's probably true. Their last album was whack. Yeah, dude. He's not doing the fucking calculations and looking at the meteors. But I do think JT is right because the thing is that when there's major weather events, these people are often
Starting point is 00:13:37 like it seems like they're wrong but that's the only time that we're paying attention so much so much of the time they're just like it's going to be clear today and then it is because there's nothing in the area you know did he not just flip he did flip
Starting point is 00:13:51 I'm going to take the flip because he flipped to my side I think 80% is right but I think that when it comes to like a specific incident especially the big ones that's what you remember That's what you remember. And it's upsetting.
Starting point is 00:14:05 And storms are unpredictable, so they often are wrong on those. There's an air current going this way, but there's a cold front going in from the top. But from the side, there's a hot front coming in, and then we have a low-pressure area here, a high-pressure here, and it's like so many factors. Yeah, and some guy farted in Mongolia, so that wind pressure came all the way to the— That's how you control a hot air balloon. There's different wind currents. That's how you change the direction you're going. Also, controlling a hot air balloon.
Starting point is 00:14:31 The moral of the story of hot air balloons is you cannot control a hot air balloon. That is not true. You cannot control a hot air balloon. They have the great hot air balloon race. The only thing – yeah, it's bullshit. The only thing you can control – How do they all end? How do they all end at the –
Starting point is 00:14:42 Because they choose – the starting point is upwind. The ending point is downwind. So they choose a direction of the wind. You can't control a hot air balloon. You're telling me – okay. There's no steering wheel on a hot air balloon. No, this is what Danny's trying to say, that at like 1,000 feet elevation, there's an air current going north. At 2,000, there's an air current going south.
Starting point is 00:14:59 At 4,000, there's an air current going – Like, and you somehow control, like... Yes. No, I don't believe you. No, no. I don't buy it. That is how hot air balloons are steered. The only thing a hot air...
Starting point is 00:15:07 Steered is an intense word. A hot air balloon gets thrown into the wind current. That's not steering. A hot air balloon can only be controlled going up and down because you pull that weird little lever that heats up the balloon. It cannot be controlled. It doesn't have a runner. There's no steering wheel.
Starting point is 00:15:20 But if you put it up halfway, you're going this way. And if you put it up more, you're going the other way. So it can be controlled. I don't buy that. He hasn't purchased that. It's text. Yeah. Is it really true that any animal you see in the day is rabid?
Starting point is 00:15:34 No. Nobody said that. I know not any animal, guys. No, people say that. But people say- That's like an old wives' tale. People say that about raccoons. Yeah, or skunk or like a possum.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Raccoons are nocturnal, so- Yeah, but they can just be awake in the day. Yeah, but you should stay away from raccoons in the day. I mean, we sleep- You should stay away from raccoons regardless. We sleep at night. Like, if I'm up at night, it doesn't mean that I'm going to murder somebody. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:59 No, yeah. It's a little suspicious. I mean, you definitely have a higher chance of the raccoon being rabid, but that's such a terrible rule to go by. I think it's a fair rule to go by, because whatever keeps someone away from a raccoon, just let them think it. Fair.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I fed a raccoon with my hands. What? Live raccoon? No, dead one. Oh, well, that's not cool. Yes, a live raccoon. How would I feed a dead raccoon? You didn't say the word feed.
Starting point is 00:16:25 You just said I had it in my hand. You said I fed a raccoon. Oh, roll this one back. Roll this one back. I could have sworn I heard, I had a raccoon in my hand. I held him in my hand. I fed him.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Because this is like, this is not a feeding motion. This is a holding motion. Well, this is like food in my hand, like little pellets. Like that's food. I think it was goldfish. Snack that smiles back.
Starting point is 00:16:47 That's, they're not. Wait, why, where, how? There's a, his name's Carlos. The raccoon? At my college, we had a frat raccoon. We had a frat raccoon, at the frat house that you know
Starting point is 00:16:58 he would come out and eat we would leave food out for him and then I went out one night and gave him the food myself
Starting point is 00:17:02 so JT and a frat blasted with beers goes oh my god did we feed Carlos yeah basically and then he scans the cabin the fracoon
Starting point is 00:17:12 this fracoon was a thick bitch dude he was so fucking fat we fed him way too much dude he's so fat I have a video of it I can send it to you guys
Starting point is 00:17:20 JT put out a little doggy bowl of beer it's like we gotta feed Carlos he's so fat wow Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:28 The raccoons are kind of cute. Was he good at pong? We did play pong in the same area we fed him, but he never joined. He never joined. That'd be the sickest party trip. I'd rather, I'll tell you this much, obviously of those three animals,
Starting point is 00:17:41 frat, raccoon, possum, and skunk. Obviously, I don't want a skunk, but a possum is gross. Possum is gross. And if you scare it, it pretends to die. I'd rather see a raccoon more than any of those two. every day of the week. I'd much rather see a possum.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Possums are disgusting. Skunks are cute when they don't smell like Pepe Le Pew. Skunk is on the bottom of the list. Skunk is super romantic. What about a de-sacked skunk? A de-skacked skunk? The stink sack. What if they take the stink sack out?
Starting point is 00:18:15 There's people out here, rogue people, taking out stink sacks and throwing the raccoons back? People have skunk pets and they take the stink sack out. The stink sack. He can't, dog. The stink stack. But if you take the stink sack out, then the possum is way, way, way worse.
Starting point is 00:18:35 It's not a possum. No, if you take the stink sack out, the possum is way worse. It's not a possum. Yeah, possum is bottom of those three. Oh, there's a comma. Yeah, of those three. Oh, there's a comma, right. I thought you were saying.
Starting point is 00:18:44 I mean, skunk's definitely bottom. If you de-sack it, then the possum's the bottom. You ever seen a baby raccoon? They're so cute. A possum is a giant rat. Yeah. Okay. Can we start, like, leaving sacks on animals?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Why do we have to de-sack all these animals? No. It's in our nature. De-sack them. It really is. Even humans. Dude, they used to fucking, to the humans, they make them sing better.
Starting point is 00:19:07 That's what they do in the Mormon boys' choir. Is it? Like, in ancient something, they would have the little boy singers, right? But then they would grow up, their voices would change, they would sound like Danny. so what they would do to keep their little
Starting point is 00:19:21 boyish voices cut off the sack and they'd be the eunuch does that work you don't you don't go through puberty wow and they'd be eunuchs
Starting point is 00:19:28 and they would sing there was a kid in our high school who said he had three balls and he had a really he has a really deep voice was that again do you think that's true
Starting point is 00:19:36 no I feel like I have a third ball I don't what do you mean I feel you know there's something in there something floating
Starting point is 00:19:43 you should get that checked out something floating yeah you don't think my voice is deep enough for a third ball no you sound like Michael Cera
Starting point is 00:19:48 apparently oh my god This man has followed me for years. No, but this man was literally like, oh, yo, what's up, baby? Who is this? Are we even sure that, like, are we even sure that was true?
Starting point is 00:20:01 Like, I didn't see his balls. He was definitely lying. That's what he said. Dude, there were people that... And if he's not lying, I don't believe that's the reason for his balls. There were people that had full-on fake... If you had a third ball,
Starting point is 00:20:11 that's probably the reason for your deep voice. No, I don't think so. Well, then why does cutting off the sack make you have a high voice? Well, I only don't think so. He stumped you there. No, no, I only don't think so because what they say
Starting point is 00:20:20 is I've had I don't think people have their ball removed and what they say is that the Lance Armstrong situation
Starting point is 00:20:26 yeah I doubt I doubt his oh yeah there you go and he got his ball removed and what they always say about that
Starting point is 00:20:33 is that your one ball works twice as hard to like keep up with everything so if you have three
Starting point is 00:20:38 wouldn't they all take like a little vacation one would relax a little bit it would go the opposite you're saying they're overstaffed
Starting point is 00:20:44 so they're all working like 33% I did hear that same thing with like the kidneys it's like You're one kidney and you're one ball. We have two of them, but if you take
Starting point is 00:20:53 one of them out, the other one will just pick up the slack. How is that possible? I don't know, but I think it's probably at 75% max. It can't be at 200. I can see that too. It can't be at 200.
Starting point is 00:21:06 I don't think my kidneys right now are working at 250. Also, if you get a ball taken out, this is Movember, by the way, Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. If you get a ball taken out, a lot of times they'll put in a fake ball. They did for him. He hates it.
Starting point is 00:21:19 He hates it? I don't know why. I guess, like, the sack. Well, no, I think it's because you go crazy. It's like, think about just how we're sitting right now. We're sitting in a way that, you know, kind of, I hope, helps our balls. I don't know about you. They're a little small.
Starting point is 00:21:35 JT has huge balls. Massive. But my point is, if I only have one ball now, I can kind of close my legs more. And, like, now my whole sitting style is changed. My whole psyche is changed. Now imagine me walking. Like, you know, sometimes you not get stuck to your leg. See, I feel like Lance Armstrong, that missing ball probably helped him.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Because think about sitting on a bike, you know. Sitting on a bike, top ten, worst punishments ever. True. I feel like one ball, you can just kind of tuck it to the left or right. So you think he should have removed the other one too, like go full? Well, I mean, Lance Armstrong, you know, obviously was a champion for – He went to the moon. No.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Neil Armstrong. Fuck you. You just totally wiped my train of thought. But Lance Armstrong was a good athlete, and he was a cheater to the extreme. He didn't just take steroids. He would get blood transfusions from other people mid-race. That's extreme cheating. Was it mid-race?
Starting point is 00:22:27 Wait, what? That's extreme cheating. Well, it's like a 30-day race, though. It's extreme cheating. I don't think it's a 30-day, but it's pretty long. Two weeks? I think it's like a few days. So there's multiple hours.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Don't they bike across the whole country? It's a tour into France. Yeah, yeah. It's a few days. So he would – what is that? Basically, in between stops, he'd get blood transfusions from a person who was well-rested and healthy, and I guess that makes you- Like less lack of acid?
Starting point is 00:22:53 I don't know what it does. But wasn't the top 100 people in that race all found to be cheating? Really, he was like Bill Burr says, he was just the best cheater. Yeah, but he's still a very tarnished career. Well, it's because he won. Although, name another cyclist. Can you name another sprinter besides Usain Bolt? Name one other cyclist.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Can I name another sprinter besides Usain Bolt? Yeah, I can. Can you name another swimmer besides Michael Phelps? Boom. Oh, yeah, Ryan Lockie. Oh, the other fucking... True. The other hot guy, sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:27 No, I know him because during the Brazilian Olympics, when I was there, I was in Brazil, and he, like, got robbed at a gas station in Brazil. That's why I know that guy. No, well, no, no, didn't get robbed. Wait, what was the story? That was the whole thing. He didn't get robbed.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Oh, he faked it. He got Rob's. He was an Olympic sommelier. Juicy sommelier. Oh, yeah. Yeah, basically. All right, Danny, next topic on the cards. Oh, these old things?
Starting point is 00:23:57 These old things? They're blank today. They're blank today. Actually, I have some on my phone. What's the point of the cards, then? Well, it's a good look. It makes you feel... You need to put your phone sideways and put it in front of your cards.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Oh, yeah. Oh, these cards? Here we go. Rice. Hold on. Rice. Where? How does rice grow?
Starting point is 00:24:32 Rice fields. Rice paddies. This is a good question. I have no idea what rice looks like in its natural state. Where does a grain of rice come from? And do they have to collect each one separately, whoever is farming it? What is happening here? Patties, rice patties.
Starting point is 00:24:49 No, they get put into patties. No, no, no. Rice field, rice farm. If you plant a rice patty. No, they're rice farms. They grow it like livestock. They're rice farms. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:24:59 There's little rice animals. Let's just think about this. If I say corn, wheat, grapes, you know exactly how they're grown. If I say rice, I have no idea the growing process of rice. They're in patties. No, they dry them. You definitely dry it. They dry them.
Starting point is 00:25:18 You definitely dry it. So rice in the wild might not look like our dried rice in our cupboard. And the trick is I saw a TikTok about this. Do you want to see it? Sure. It's kind of long. No, I mean, it's only a TikTok, so it can only be so long. This is how we get along these days.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Show the JT. I haven't seen it already. That seemed like a lot of work. I feel like I could buy that for like $20, $25. Like, rice is cheap. Oh, way less than that. Rice is super cheap. How much did you get a bucket of rice for?
Starting point is 00:25:55 I could go to any place and get a burlap sack of rice for like $7. Yeah. I mean, it's crazy. People put rice in their salt shakers so that it doesn't clump up. Oh, yeah, they do. Because rice absorbs moisture. That's why you put your phone in rice if you... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:12 You know what? See, thank you. How does that work? Because rice absorbs moisture. No, but it doesn't make any sense. It's like... It's not entering the phone. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Exactly. It's like, I'm just putting this phone in rice, and now it's dry. Like, where is... How is it sucking the water out of the phone? I don't know, but I've done it, and it has worked. Like, how does that help me? I've seen it work as well. Help me understand.
Starting point is 00:26:38 I think it's so good at absorbing moisture that, like, I don't know. It can even absorb the moisture out of the air. It's in a Ziploc bag. I think so. Exactly. So, like, any moisture within the air would get absorbed by the rice as well. But then how is the water leaving the foam? I guess then that water in the foam goes into the air, and then the rice absorbs it.
Starting point is 00:27:02 But then why do I need the rice if the water's going through the air? These are all great questions. You got to ask a scientist, bud, a rice scientist. You got to ask a riceologist. I'm just taking a hot shot to you. Are there any riceologists? If you're a riceologist, put in the comments how on earth does this work. Like, let's say there's a drop of water in the deepest crevice of my phone.
Starting point is 00:27:20 And the rice don't have little fingers, little hands. How is the water getting out of the phone? Oh, did I ever tell you one time I went to trade in? This was not an answer. Well, one time I went to trade in my phone. I had a sidekick and I went to trade it in to T-Mobile and they were like you don't have any water damage on the phone right
Starting point is 00:27:38 and I was like no open the back this is when phones are used to open the back of them two pellets of rice fell out she was like what are these no no I was making risotto I was in the rice paddies I was making risotto
Starting point is 00:27:54 my phone fell into the crock pot what happened did they buy it they did buy it but I had to pay a fee to rice fee I don't know. I meant that they buy your story of not. Oh, no. They knew what's going on.
Starting point is 00:28:08 You couldn't open the back of your phone. You should have done that. You couldn't do that. I thought it looked very pristine from the outside. I thought it looked great. Yeah, but what they do is they open it, and there's a little sticker on the back that's green and changes to red if there's water in it.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Yeah, but the rice doesn't change that. No, the rice doesn't change the color of that. It's a chemical compound in the sticker. The rice isn't magic. Listen, rice can only do so much for you, Danny. I love rice I really do too it's fantastic
Starting point is 00:28:34 especially since I'm gluten free I have to have everything like rice oh here we go now we're on the gluten free burrito bowl I just love rice
Starting point is 00:28:41 either way are we good here? you're the one that said either way we were talking I think we're good right? either way alright well
Starting point is 00:28:48 leave down in the comments what's your favorite type of rice that's a good question actually it is a good question what's your favorite type of rice? there's like 7 types of rice first of all that's enough to have a favorite
Starting point is 00:28:58 secondly there's more not type of rice but like what's your favorite But like rice preparation. Oh, now there's a million answers. Like risotto probably? Risotto, that's a good answer. Basil fried rice.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Mine is a fried rice as well probably. It's so hard to pick which one. It's so good. But I love fried rice. Can you name me more than like three ways to prepare it? What do you mean? Rice pilaf. Never mind.
Starting point is 00:29:24 There's all kinds of rice. Actually, no. Pilaf is a type of rice. Forget it. Forget it. All right. It's like saying, oh, weiss, white, weiss, rice, brown. Why do you keep saying weiss?
Starting point is 00:29:33 I don't know. Why do you keep saying weiss? No, but you can compare weiss in many different ways. Where do they find you, JT?
