Starting point is 00:00:00 Happy feast day. The big man, Thomas Aquinas' feast day is today. Did you know that? Well, look, I'm pretty excited about it and we're all pretty jazzed up over here about it. And so we've decided to do two pretty cool things to celebrate Thomas' feast day. First, we're giving away a free audio book called Attorney Partris on the restoration of Christian philosophy, which is an encyclical written by Pope Leo XIII in 1879. The point of the encyclical was to advance the revival of scholastic philosophy. That is, Thomas Aquinas, essentially.
Starting point is 00:00:37 So it's available for free today only. And then it's gone. Bye-bye forever. See, my patrons get a bunch of free material when they sign up, a bunch of free audio books. This is one of them. But for today only, I'm offering it to all of the riffraff. You should listen to this and become more familiar with what the church has had to say about Thomas Aquinas. It is a brilliant encyclical. And if you want to seem smart, don't go and read it.'s got time for that not me no thank you words and all that without pictures you can listen to it and uh you know bring it up
Starting point is 00:01:13 in conversation to some attractive catholic man or woman who will henceforth fall head over heels in love with you and you can name your first first child Matthew. The second thing that we're doing is selling really, really cool Thomas Aquinas merch. Speaking of making you more attractive, we've been working on this merch for a while now. I am really proud of it. It looks super great. It's really minimalist. It has a big head of Thomas Aquinas. Aquinas is written beneath his chin there. And they come in sweaters and hoodies and men's and women's t-shirts, even baby onesies and toddler t-shirts. They look spectacular.
Starting point is 00:01:51 They're a great way to strike up a conversation about Thomas Aquinas and the Catholic faith. And when you buy one of these things, you support Pints with Aquinas as well. And so you can not only look great, but you can feel great because you supported this awesome podcast. All right. So I'll throw up the link in the show notes. Check it out. Have a beer on the feast of Thomas Aquinas today, would you? And read a portion of the Summa Theologiae and just thank God for the gift that Thomas Aquinas is. Thanks, y'all.
