Starting point is 00:00:52 I'm doing this episode against my will. Hey everyone! Welcome to this week's episode of Plumbing the Death Star, where we ask the important questions like, we've got Pokemon, we've got Dig digimon what other mons could there possibly be this is a great it's a great question you got digital monsters you got pocket monsters so what other mons can there be? Because really what makes them on the mon is the mode of transport, right? Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:31 So it's digital or in your pocket. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So you've got to think, well, how else can we transport these mons? Yeah. Okay. I propose public transporter mon. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Great way to catch you, to, to, to move your mons around. You play as a bus driver. All right. So wait, we'll take one step back.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Cause I feel like that there's going to be some clear categories here. Building your own mon. So transport, which is where the name comes from. But then we're going to have like, I guess like how they evolve because both Digimon and Pokemon evolve. They can either Digivolve or regular.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I mean like leveling or Digi... Yeah, yeah, yeah. How they evolve. Sure. And I guess how many there are and how you catch them. How you fight them. How you make them fight. How you yourself fight them. Depending on how your mon operates. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. Some Digimon stuff, you make them fight. Or how you yourself fight them. Depending on how your mon operates.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Some Digimon stuff, you wear them. That's true. Well, see, I was thinking, you know, I was thinking motormons, like a public, not public, you've chosen public transport. Public transport is great, but I was thinking like a car. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Carmon. Yeah. Well, the thing is, yeah, more of a motormon, because also then you can have like the DLC, which is like on the water, so you have a boat. Yeah, yeah. And motor mon, because also then you have the DLC, which is on the water, so you have a boat, and in Sky, where you have a plane. Already starting with the DLC. Planning the DLC before the core idea is brilliant.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Not enough games should happen like that. Is this a game, or are we making mons in real life? I was already trying to come to terms with Jackson's public transport public transport mon is great, but I reckon motor mon is also good because then you have like water motor mons. It's gone. It's been taken from you.
Starting point is 00:03:15 It's like gas. It's ash. It's in the sky. You got water motor mons, you got sky motor mons, and you got ground motor mons. All great mons. I just feel like I'm sitting in an office. And some people just kicked over my door. And just started screaming at me. And I don't understand what is happening at all.
Starting point is 00:03:40 What do you mean? What do you mean? What do I mean? It's very simple, Dusha. We've got public transport mons We've got mono mons We can bring it to the table And we can discuss it as we go along
Starting point is 00:03:52 We'll let you think about it And I'll explain public transport mons Okay So you play as a bus driver My one is a game, yours doesn't have to be It could be an anime, like regular Pokemon Or maybe Digimon You play as a bus driver, okay? My one is a game. Yours doesn't have to be. It could be an anime, like regular Pokemon or maybe Digimon. You play as a bus driver and you collect the mons like you collect passengers. But they're not passengers, they're mons.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I.E. monsters. I'm back. I understand what you're saying. You're a little boy, 10 years old. Your mother says he's your boss. Bus driver's license. Yeah. Well, it's kind of like in Pokemon, You get a Pokeballs when you're a 10.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Okay. No, it's your special day. Your mom's like gives you a thing and then you got to go speak to Professor Oak. We're in this. You get to give a boss driver's license. You got to go to Professor Oak and speak. Hi, I'm Professor Bus. Everyone's called Bus.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Welcome to the exciting world of public transport-a-mons. Bus-a-mons. Yeah. And then you, well, you could, you start with a bus, but like you have water-a-mons and ground-a-mons, you will eventually get tram-a-mons. Bus-a-mons. Yeah, and then you start with a bus, but like you have water-a-mons and ground-a-mons, you will eventually get tram-a-mons. Well, they're all public transport. Tram-a-mons, you got bus-a-mons, you got train-a-mons,
Starting point is 00:04:55 you got barge-a-mons if we have like a public transport that's a barge. It would just be PT-mons and then you don't call folk. I think that's where you lost me originally. Because if there's a bird Pokemon, that's not a Birdemon. Or maybe it could, but who knows? Because in public transport... So it's like how you can have a Mega Ball or a Water Ball or whatever. Or a Net Ball, I think they're called. It's like some public transport-em ones you can only catch with a tram.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're waiting in a tram stop. Yeah, exactly. And some you can only catch with a taxi or whatever. Or an Uber or like one of them rickshaws that people go around public parks in. Would a PTMO be like, say, the rickshaw type or would it be like a tram type? I think it would be
Starting point is 00:05:41 about kinds of public transport customers rather than the public transport they use. You know, so like it would be about kinds of public transport customers rather than the public transport they use. Yeah. You know, so like it might be like too many baggings. It might be one. And that's like it's like a public transport one. It's got too many bags.
Starting point is 00:05:58 It's a sort of visuals for it. Yeah. And that one you could probably catch with either a bus or a tram or a train, but probably not with a taxi. Or I guess you could with a taxi. In fact, taxi would probably be optimal. Maybe taxi is a late game thing that you can get.
Starting point is 00:06:16 So, are these just guys? No, they're monsters. You're capturing mons. It's a mon. It's a mon. What is he not getting? I don't know Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:27 Please Do they look just like guys Or are you talking like No I'm imagining that Too many bag and Z Looks like it's got chimpanzee legs Coming out of the bottom Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:38 And then almost like It's like you don't see the top half It's just too many bags Yeah That's kind of what it looks like And the way you catch it Is you've got to go up to it in an appealing enough public transport for it to get on. And then it's like, well done.
Starting point is 00:06:50 You caught too many Bag and Z. I don't know how you make them fight necessarily. Maybe they fight on your bus. It's kind of like if you drove around Pokemon in a Pokeball, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Or you can get out and then I guess you fight. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Other people in their Like buses Well maybe The way it works Is kind of like Ships at sea In pirate times Okay So your bus
Starting point is 00:07:12 And the rival's bus You kind of like You kind of like Drive near each other And your mons Fight their mons Through the windows This sounds cool
Starting point is 00:07:21 Yeah right See I think Mine and yours Are quite similar With like the motor mons because you could have like the pt as well as you know i'm like a car it's like yeah yeah yeah you know it's very very similar because i was imagining the same thing with like say with with the car like i reckon you probably start not 10 at 16 that's your license that's fair that
Starting point is 00:07:39 makes sense and he's like well done here's your license you gotta do a test and you go through that um so at that point you can only have maybe three different Mons because you have to have your instructor in the car as well. Yeah, that makes sense. And then when you finally get 18 and you actually have your full license, then we can have four Mons and you as a driver. Is this real life or a video game? It can be both.
Starting point is 00:07:58 It can be both. Yeah? Okay. Because two years is a long time in real life. In a video game, two years is a long time in real life. In a video game, two years could just be... But it's so meaningless. It means nothing. It could be both.
Starting point is 00:08:10 What? Jackson, you've got to understand that to get to this point of the episode, I've just had to let everything fly. It could be both. It could be both. Maybe instead of starting with a car, actually, you should scooter. Yeah, or a bicycle.
Starting point is 00:08:25 And then you can only have one... In the basket., you should scooter. Yeah, or a bicycle. Yes. And then you can only have one... In the basket. ...motor-mon, but it's a small motor-mon. Yeah, or I guess you could have two. You could have a little one in the basket and a man-sized one on the dinking on the back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then slowly you upgrade until you're at like a plane or whatever can have the most...
Starting point is 00:08:39 Yeah, yeah. Because you can go from like, say, a two-seater car, then you go to like a five-seater car, then you could maybe get like a minibus limousine limousine if you want yeah what's good what piece of public transport or transport or thing with a motor can have the most people train surely yeah i was either train or a cruise ship oh yeah cruise ship definitely beats train yeah yeah yeah yeah this is a complicated game though because i guess once you reach cruise ship. Oh, yeah. Cruise ship definitely beats train. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is a complicated game, though, because I guess once you reach cruise ship level,
Starting point is 00:09:09 you're fighting other cruise ships, right? You're fighting cruise ships or, in essence, running a cruise ship for months. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is its own entire game. Yeah, well, this- So it's a game again now. Or both.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Or it could be real life. It could be both. Because it could be the kind of thing where it's- It could be an anime, I don't know. Yeah, it could be less of a fighting thing and more like you collect the mons and the more mons you have, the more powerful your bus is. That's true.
Starting point is 00:09:32 But you have to make sure they're happy on the bus. Yes. You know what I mean. Are they going somewhere? Well, like when they're in the poker ball in your pocket, where are they going? With you. They're coming with us.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Okay. The biggest problem I'm only seeing, JD, that you're not is that what if, say, a Mr. Mime takes the wheel? Then it's mons driving mons and I don't know what's gonna happen. That's why you have to treat your mons with respect. That's true. You have to make sure the bus is good so they don't take the wheel off you
Starting point is 00:09:58 and hijack the bus. So when people catch public transport or get in a car, they're going from A to B. When mons are yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But get in a car, they're going from A to B. When Mons are, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's my car, yes. He gets to decide where he goes.
Starting point is 00:10:11 The boss I'll give you. We're fighting other Mons. So, okay. So I get in my car with my Mons. You get in your car with your Mons. We go to, I don't know, the Macca's car park, and then we fight. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Same thing with Pokemon. You get a Pokemon and a Macca's car park and then we fight. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Same thing with Pokemon. You get a Pokemon and a Pokeball you put in your pocket. And then you go somewhere to a gym and you fight. Same thing. We drive the cars into the gym. So your car works like a Pokeball. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Instead of a gym, it's like a depot, like a boss depot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like the king of bosses.
Starting point is 00:10:43 In Digimon, they have something similar, I can only assume. They're kept in a computer, basically. Digimon, digital monsters, Digimon are the champions. No, because the kids get sucked into the computer. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. Changes everything. Yeah, that's why they're digital monsters. So the kids are, in a way, digital monsters too.
Starting point is 00:11:03 So yeah, you just got to understand that like, so in Pokemon, you catch a Pokemon. That Pokemon wasn't going anywhere. It's just you've caught it and then you're befriending it. Kind of like buying a dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if an ape is holding too many bags and gets on a bus, I'm assuming that that ape wants to go somewhere.
Starting point is 00:11:21 It's an ape though. It's an ape. Well, it's a too many bags ape. Yeah, does a chimp want to go anywhere? If it's waiting for a bus, probably. No, that's a fair point. That's a fair point. A mob used to be waiting around its natural environment
Starting point is 00:11:34 and you just have to drive around that bus stop. Okay, so... And also, I guess for all my mons, they kind of need to be humanised shape or at least be able to buckle in. Yeah, do you have types? Safety's important. Do you have types of your mons? I think you need to be humanized shape, or at least be able to buckle in. Yeah. Safety's important. Do you have types of your mons? I think you would have to have some type, especially if you want to get into, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:50 the water motor mons and the sky motor mons. Yeah, that's true, that's true. So you need to be flying and at least swimming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I guess my types, again, would be based on the kind of, like, you could only catch some with certain public transports, you know, like, sailors, you could only catch with boats or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or, like, plane people, you could only catch with boats or whatever yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah or like plane people you can only catch with planes birds not plane people yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:12:12 those guys are just standing in the sky these guys are only traveled by plane yeah well that don't mean they need to be like an actual person but then you can't be like person person shape like a like a hippo champ well you, you've got to put a seatbelt on. Ah, that is true. You'll put a seatbelt on like a dog. Or like in a wet bag of shit or whatever. I don't know. Who cares? If you're going somewhere with like a garden gnome,
Starting point is 00:12:35 you've got to strap it in. That's true. You can strap it in. But that is human shaped. Mainly makes you think. Is it? It's not. Well.
Starting point is 00:12:44 No, I think a garden gnome is just a cylinder with a point on top, Really makes you think Is it? It's not Well No I think a garden gnome Is just a cylinder With a point on top But they've just painted a face That is true What is man But not a cylinder
Starting point is 00:12:53 With a pointed head And a face painted on it Is that not Is that not man? No Behold A man Unvowable
Starting point is 00:13:06 No that's a garden gnome And if I was to remove the paint that is not even human shaped It's unrecognizable Cylinder point face somewhere on there It's humanity That's man baby Okay well yeah so my types would be the kind of Different public transport users
Starting point is 00:13:21 Or just ones that you could only pick up With that kind of public transport. So you can't pick up a jellyfish with a car. No! Of course you're going to pick up the jellyfish with what I'm assuming you're going to say is a cruise ship. Yeah, exactly. Or a dinghy.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I guess you would have to have type advantages. Yeah, well I was thinking something like late for businessmen. And so someone who's always in a rush, and if you're speeding that is great for it. Oh, I see! And again
Starting point is 00:13:52 you're trying to keep the happiness level of these mons up, you know, so you don't want them to steal your car and abscond with all the other mons. Maybe you are taking them somewhere like Dusha said in mine. Maybe that is part of it. You drive somewhere while you're driving you can fight with them, but you do have to take them to their destination eventually. So it's just crazy taxi meets Pokemon.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. Exactly crazy taxi meets Pokemon. Yes! How do you evolve yours? What do you do? One must do something. Great question. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I'm assuming, well, let's see, you gotta get a car serviced, so we have to service that, and service them, is there something in there? It's also- Mileage, I guess, you have to go and
Starting point is 00:14:32 get as many kilometers as they involve. But you're not driving the- Yeah, I drive. No, but you're driving a car, like a normal car, so you're saying that the passengers are clocking up the mileage as you travel. Well, yeah. So you're saying that the passengers are clocking up the mileage as you travel? Yeah. Because I can only really have four at one time. I have to then kick out my late for businessman, and then if I kick him out to get someone else,
Starting point is 00:14:56 like, I don't know, on-time student, then the too late for businessman, he doesn't get any points. He's just released. I've got to go find him again. Yeah, yeah, that's true. It's hard. That's a bit of management. Yeah, okay. It's kind of like a combination between hotel taxi.
Starting point is 00:15:10 No, yes. Hotel taxi? Hotel taxi. No, crazy taxi. Mario is missing? Yeah, yeah. Plus, you've got to feed these mons, so drive-thru,
Starting point is 00:15:19 you've got to go through a lot of them. Yeah, yeah. That's like your Pokemon, or your Pokemon Santa. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, I mean, it's a combination of like A hotel sim Plus crazy taxi
Starting point is 00:15:30 Plus Pokemon But it also could be real life That's your job now That's your career As a 10 year old boy I don't think mine evolve I think they stay in a permanent state Of whatever you pick them up as
Starting point is 00:15:45 and if you let them out of your car are they still your friend or yeah you get why no they're just more likely to get picked up later yeah okay so you can't okay so say you're rolling into you're driving a four-seater car yeah or in your case an uber i guess in your case your car yes yeah obviously uh that is one of the similarities between Motormon and Public Transport when people play the Uber section of my game or real life or anime they're like is this just lifted straight out of Motormon
Starting point is 00:16:13 Nintendo's 2016 game of the year so you say and then you need to battle a boss you can't then call in people that you've kicked out of your car to help you? Well, no, because you'd have to be there with you. Like, you can't go and do, you know, if you enter a gym with the Pokeballs that you have.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Yeah, and your Pokemon are in the Pokebox or whatever. Sure, in Pokemon, you have a limit of storing your Mons. But this, unless you put them in the trunk, but then that has a limited capacity. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of size, sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Every time I ask what I think. But they're going to be unhappy about being in that trunk. And so. Yeah. Okay. Of size. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Every time I ask, but they're going to be unhappy about being in that trunk.
Starting point is 00:16:47 So you got to cycle them through. And so they will perform worse. They will perform worse and be a bit stropped. So as you're playing the game, you'll see like, oh, that's a bus area. I got to wait till I get the bus and then I can go in there and I can fight those buses.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Cause I need to pick up heaps more passengers. Yeah, exactly. Cause you're not going to be on a bicycle with like a, with like a child Pokemon in the front seat and a grandpa Pokemon dinking or whatever. You're going to take on a boss. Yeah, you'll get steamrolled.
Starting point is 00:17:10 I got hurt back and dummy suck. Yeah, exactly. And what else can I do? You're going to get absolutely demolished by a bus, just like if that happened in real life. Yeah, that's true. You got a point. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:21 So you got to upgrade, get better mons, get better public transport or modes of transport To eventually fight the higher levels Do you have any questions? I feel like we're explaining it pretty well So the object is To What?
Starting point is 00:17:42 So in Pokemon There's like the champions Oh you want to be the very best and catch as many as you can yeah yeah yeah but you can only
Starting point is 00:17:50 catch a finite amount but you can only catch a finite amount or in the boot you gotta let them well what you can do is you can kind of invite them into your car
Starting point is 00:17:58 and they can just like sign a waiver or whatever or like you know a journal and then like you know yes I'm that dummy suck good tick and you're like well I, or like, you know, a journal. Yeah. And then like, you know, yes, I'm that.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Yeah. Dummy suck. Yeah. Tick. And you're like, well, I got you. And then,
Starting point is 00:18:09 you know, if you don't want to use them in battle, because I think it'd be rude to, to fight like a businessman against a baby. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're like,
Starting point is 00:18:15 well, on the street. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You let them out and they do, they do whatever they want from now on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that considering Pokemon exists and Digimon exists and the next step you've both seemed to have taken, even though like very different ideas, public transport and the same transport, but just privately owned. Yes. Yes. That is bold.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Thank you. But I think that maybe the next step, you got to go further, I feel. Okay. What if, so you create your party by holding hands? So kind of like a trough. Oh, yeah. And all of the mons are apes. Variations of apes.
Starting point is 00:18:50 So it's a barrel of monkeys of mons. Yes. I like this. I like this. So they're different species of ape? Yep. So chimpanzee, orangutan. But they're fictionalized versions, I guess.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Mine is not real life or video game, I guess. You know what? Yeah, sure. It could be both. It could be both. Okay. So do you have a limit of how many apes you can have in your daisy chain? What happens if they don't hold hands?
Starting point is 00:19:17 What happens if they like... They don't. Oh, okay. So they're always holding hands. Can you get rid of them? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:23 What if one needs to pee? It's an ape. What if one needs to pee they just pit it's an ape what do you need to pee you look where you're part of the chain the trick is the doucher is also an ape i'm aware by being a human yeah yeah yeah and then you got to link up with other people that also have a link of apes and then you fight wrestle ape wrestles and now a quick word from our sponsors also Also, did you know we do too many shows across the Sandspan's radio network? Take BigSoftTitty.png, a show by award-winning comedians Tom Walker and Demi Lardner that
Starting point is 00:19:54 is not for cowards. Are you a coward? Then stay the fuck away from BigSoftTitty.png, you big piss baby. But if you're brave enough to listen, you'll be rewarded with horse music, the hidden secret of what one does with a cum egg and too much teeth talk just search for big soft titty dot png or one word no spaces on itunes or spotify or head to our website sanspantsradio.com do you wrestle
Starting point is 00:20:18 as a chain yes so not with your arms it It's like you circle. So you circle. No, I get it. So you make a circle around another circle, right? And then because you're all linking arms, just every second apes stand still and legs on the ground and the other apes put their legs up and kick. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:38 It's kind of beautiful, like a mandala. That's quite nice. Okay, how do they evolve? Yeah, do they evolve? Yeah, so after either more fights or more steps, I guess. Or maybe the whole chain evolved. Does it just get bigger? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:55 The apes get taller. Like a mech situation where you all fuse into one big giant ape. No, that's ridiculous. No, no, no. That's fair. Every ape just gets an inch taller every time they level up. Every time a new ape joins the chain,
Starting point is 00:21:10 every ape on the chain gets one inch taller. That's good because you would be, so to begin with, you'd just be kicking knees and then hogs and vaginas. Bellies, titties, necks, face, nothing. Then you can start doing stomping, getting the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:21:27 You can't stomp on the top of the head of your enemies. Yeah. That's interesting. And so is there some kind of like strategy to how tall your rapes are versus how tall the other rapes? No, because obviously all, like when it comes to being tall, the taller the better. There's no downsides to getting too tall. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Godzilla has never claimed to be too big. Yeah, that is true. I just fear that you'll be stomping heads whilst getting kicked in the nuts or whatever or kicked in the shins. You know what I mean? We'll weather it. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:21:56 There's no real health system. It's just like... It might be like an unbalanced situation when you first start off. Like, hey, you are 10. Here is the ape. Hold hands. And someone comes over and just
Starting point is 00:22:06 stomps on your head. I died in real life! If an ape kicked a 10-year-old, that's 10-year-old dead, tragically. But apes also, and this is important about apes, that's not where their strength lies in their kicking, really, is it? Apes together are strong!
Starting point is 00:22:24 It's an ape's arms that are at strongest point but that and torso yes but their arms are unfortunately yeah they're otherwise occupied that is true that is true which is used is it like like a human centipede yeah i imagine that's oh no because i like the idea of being able to ditch the chain if you have to oh okay okay so maybe like a split attack? Explain that how that would work. So like in a circle, and then both sides just kind of let go. So instead of being a full circle around it,
Starting point is 00:22:53 it becomes two semi-circles. Oh, okay. Oh, no, that is good. That is good, but is that then two different daisy chain mons? Maybe that's a move. Oh, so there's moves. Yeah, obviously there's moves.
Starting point is 00:23:06 There were no moves for mine exam. We haven't thought about that. Yes, we might get that. Maybe it'd be cool. And yeah, then it means that like all the fights and stuff would be a little bit like dances. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Lots of spinning. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Swinging apes around. It's very, it's very like a dancey monkey-a-mon, which I like. It's graceful. Yeah. It's quite pointy. So how many moves does your... So you're not really fighting with individual apes, are you? No, you fight as a team. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:32 And so does the amount of apes dictate the kinds of moves you have? Yeah. Or does the types of apes dictate the kinds of moves you have? It would probably be both. Maybe there can be some that, like, walk on their hands, so therefore... Oh, they're kicking with their legs, but... Oh. That's cool. that like walk on their hands so therefore oh they're kicking with their legs but oh so that's cool with the dancing can you then if you're like if say if your your daisy chain meets another daisy chain yeah could you then like switch partners and make a beautiful choreography
Starting point is 00:23:57 dance maybe you could do that maybe that's how you catch them more so unlike in pokemon where they're like you can't sell another trainer's Pokemon. You can. And you're encouraged to. Yes. You're going to make all those 10-year-olds sad, miserable, and alone. Take their apes.
Starting point is 00:24:14 And also because we are ape, can we also then make the trainer? Yeah. Oh, no. That's what I was worried about. Big ape. Because when you split, I was worried that you would have one chain, but then an ape would be selected to own the second chain. Well, maybe that is how it works,
Starting point is 00:24:32 but then at the end you've got to then team back up. Yeah, well, maybe you think you're playing the game and you're like, well, I am in charge of the apes, but actually you're just one of many. The chain is who you're playing as, not any individual ape. Maybe it's kind of like... You are playing as apes. You're playing it as ap any individual ape Maybe it's kind of like You're playing it as apes Where's my JD avatar gone?
Starting point is 00:24:51 He died Eight hours ago You fight another ape chain or whatever And you see yourself And you're like oh no Someone stole me Gotta get me back Yeah that sounds good, man.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Yeah. Okay. What's it called? What a mon? Ape a mon. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ape hand a mon?
Starting point is 00:25:11 Ape chain a mon? It can't be ape mon because ape monsters doesn't really work. Chain monsters? Ape mon ape? Daisy chain? Daisy mons? Daisy ape mons? You can think about it.
Starting point is 00:25:24 We don't need an answer straight away. How about this? How about this? Restaurant mon. Okay. Okay, so I have a restaurant. Let's call it like a pizzeria. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Okay, and now I need to start this with some mon. Chapes mon. Why is it chapes mon? Chain apes. Ah, chapes are mon. Chain ape mons. Okay, so pizza mon. So pizza mon chain ape monsters. Okay, so Pizza Mon. So Pizza Mon.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Restaurant Mon. Okay, Restaurant Mon, sorry. So basically it's, because Mon's about the mode of transport, and I have a building. Yeah. So that's where they have to be set. Also, this is like a sequel or a DLC to your original mode of Mon. Great, and it could be real life.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Yeah, yeah. You know, real life DLC. Yeah, you know. So we have, like, a restaurant Mon, and so we have the Mons in the restaurant. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's, you know, we can, like, put them, like... So you've got to give them roles within the restaurant?
Starting point is 00:26:15 Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you're, like, you're on the... So you're, like, a maitre d', you've got some waitress, waitress... Waitress, yeah, yeah, yeah. You've got some... Waitress.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Yeah, yeah. Waitress is the Pokemon you would make a waiter, that would be clever. You would have like cooks. So there's no bad, it's more like a restaurant sim, but every person you pick is a monster that could have some benefit to the restaurant. What if I pitched this, Gutsamon. So every single one of your organs is a mon
Starting point is 00:26:44 and they make you more or less powerful depending depending on what let me think of that i mean you can real you'd be like all right so the brain should be whether in the brain slot but you can put your guts in the well maybe the way you battle is you actually just have a physical fight with another human being right but you can rearrange your organs at will so somebody somebody's going to punch your head, and you immediately swap out brain for, you know, heart or whatever. Explode your brain up. Your heart's in your head doing your thinking, and the blood's going through your brain,
Starting point is 00:27:14 making you cleverer and stupider at the same time. What could you possibly mean by that? What? I think it's a great idea. I switch your organs. Each, depending where your organs are, it depends what your organ does. Clever and dumber. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Why? Because more blood is going to your brain, but your brain isn't where it needs to be. Your brain is your heart, which is doing your thinking now, making you dumber. Exactly. But your brain is getting heart. Which is doing your thinking now making you dumber. Exactly. But your brain is getting more blood. Therefore making you smarter. What are you not getting, Jamie? I don't understand. You swap your lungs with your intestine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:55 You're processing food with your lungs. But you're breathing with a big lung too. I don't know how that helps you, but it might. It means you can breathe longer. The point is you have full control over your entire body now. That's the point, okay?
Starting point is 00:28:11 But isn't the human body, hasn't it evolved so that every organ is doing what it's meant to do at its best? Yeah, but we don't know what it could be like. And that's what Gutsmon aims to find out. Somebody punches you in the stomach. You don't want to get winded.
Starting point is 00:28:26 You quickly move your lungs to your biceps. You breathe in strong. Yeah. Punch your enemies. Winded. Move your lungs back. You're good. Move your lungs to your brain.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Inhale. Bigger brain. Quickly switch that with your actual brain. Yeah. Genius. Move your brain to where your lungs were. Inhale. Brain gets huge.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Move it to where your heart is. Pump more blood into it. Okay. Starting to understand what Jackson has done here. Yeah. So he's got the organ is doing its function, but the area that is doing its function is also doing the function. So the cavity where your lungs would be
Starting point is 00:29:05 is still for some reason breathing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the space. Every space in your body has an action, but that it will do no matter what. The organ is there for. Are the organs mons? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:21 I guess. Am I making a mon game anymore what am i making i like it though i don't some of them i don't see the function of like what would be the good of putting your lungs where your stomach is and putting like chicken in your lungs or whatever you know basically what i think you're imagining is that fight from the sherlock holmes video a movie yeah but you're like what if I was really bad and I could just see how this guy was going to hit me? And in between every hit, I could reorganize my guts in my body to...
Starting point is 00:29:51 To help me out. To, yeah, do the least amount of damage. Yeah, so you can make your brain bigger for a round, so then you can think harder. But on the next round, you've got to rearrange your organs again, so you're going to be thinking slower now. Yeah, but your organs are mons. But your organs are... But your organs are mons. But your organs are mons.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But you don't collect them or anything. And they don't evolve. You just move them. You just shift them around. Maybe you upgrade the different bits of your body so that your lungs can breathe more. How about this? How about this?
Starting point is 00:30:25 What about briefcase monster? Oh, okay. So it's quite similar to a Pokemon, like a Pokemon, but in this case, I have it in my briefcase. Oh, okay. You can keep Pokeballs in a briefcase if you want. Yeah, but this way... Are they loose in the briefcase?
Starting point is 00:30:39 Yes. Is the only difference you look like a businessman? Yes. That's pretty good. Are they squished in the briefcase? Do they get little like they do in a Pokeball? Well, they get little like they do in a Pokeball. Are they just little?
Starting point is 00:30:51 If you fling your briefcase around, is there like a blah, blah, blah? Do they jangle around inside? Can you keep other stuff in your briefcase still? I get like a banana. Like a banana or files? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I keep my files in there and my bonds.
Starting point is 00:31:02 And so when I go and do business, I open it up, my Pokemons come out, and all my files are there, and I have a banana to eat it. Are they not going to eat the banana and wreck your files? What do the briefcase mons do? Just hang out? Maybe hang out, do some filing. Okay, so once again, you've got them working for you.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Do some filing. Yeah, yeah. How? Oh, not in the briefcase, obviously. No, once they're out. Once they're out, yeah. It's more like just a way to- And then we fight on the weekends or whatever. Yeah, yeah, it's a in the briefcase, obviously. No, no, once they're out. Once they're out. It's more like just a way to- And then we fight on the weekends or whatever.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a way to just transport your staff, basically. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But your staff are monsters. Are monsters, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we also fight on the weekends or something. Okay, but there is some level of combat to it.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can just bake some Mon and Mon. Yeah. You gotta fight them. What about facial features, Mon? Exactly my premise with the guts, but it's all my facial features. Move my mouth and my eyes up, blink with my lips. Ooh, I'm a big fan.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Yeah. Uh-huh. And what is the benefit? Can you catch them? Can you transport them? Can you train them? You can catch them from other people's faces, yes. So if I see someone with stronger eyes than me,
Starting point is 00:32:04 I catch their eyes. I have strong eyes. They now have my eyes, which are weak. I have terrible eyesight. Then I have good eyesight. Yeah, see? So you just swap with people. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You swap with people. And the aim is to have the best face. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:17 But like your face structure might be better suited for, say, like bigger eyes or medium eyes. And then someone's like, well, I actually want, slender-looking kind of. You've got a kissing build. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Headbutt Glasgow kiss build. Chomping build.
Starting point is 00:32:32 You've got a big jaw, big teeth, little eyes. Tiny nose. Shark eyes and big teeth. Yeah, looking build. Looking build. Hearing build. Hearing build is a basic build. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:44 You can go a bit more in depth. Tiny face build, everything towards the center. If you hit you there, it's bad. But if you hit you anywhere else, it's not so bad. It looks like a sour... We call that the sour face strategy. Your tiny middle face. Put all your eggs in one basket.
Starting point is 00:33:03 You get it there. It's bad. Because every bit of your face gets punched at once. But if anyone hits you anywhere else, you feel nothing. It's just skull. So that's another one. That's a better option.
Starting point is 00:33:15 So in this situation, there's Digimon, Pokemon, and Facial Features Mod. That's the third big mod. That's a third big mod. That's Nintendo's third big IP is facial features mod. Yeah. And you can rearrange them. Yeah, whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Put your nose where your eye is. It's also an option. Yeah. If you want to smell with your eyes, you can. It smells like eyes. So again, you're associating the location on your face with the up. Absolutely. A hundred percent.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about like a bag mod? Okay. So we just get like a plastic bag. Is this just briefcase mod again? No we just get like a plastic bag is this just briefcase mon again nah but it's a plastic bag it's totally it's a lot like briefcase mon
Starting point is 00:33:51 I must say it's a lot like briefcase mon but without the it's not nice anymore they don't get small either but it's a durable plastic bag but not that durable they can fall out like if you've got a sharp bottle of milk in your plastic bag supermarket it falls out in the street yeah yeah yeah like imagine like like like like a togepi just yeah yeah yeah are they just pokemon yeah
Starting point is 00:34:14 it's not really in your mind it's just a new way of transporting yeah a new illegal way it's kind of like when you uh see a pokemon you don't have pokeball yeah yeah plastic bag you're like i gotta catch it one way or the other. You know that Pokemon have abilities, yeah. Salmon's on fire. Salmon's dead. Pokemon can kill a guy. That is true, but that's why I stick with my ones that are about the body for some reason.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Limbs are Mon. Swap where your head is, your legs, all of that. House Mon. In a very similar kind of way to yours, but everything is made from Mons. So we can just move around You can just rearrange a house But this is quicker Because there's mons
Starting point is 00:34:51 Every door is a mon, every bit of furniture is a mon And so basically you're rearranging things Is this not just the Flintstones where everything's a dinosaur I suppose in many ways it is the Flintstones Aren't we all in many ways the Flintstones Can I pitch you the Flintstones So it's a modern stone age family Fred Flintstone, his wife Wilma, their child
Starting point is 00:35:08 Bam Bam, their neighbour Bonnie Robble and I forget the name of Betty Robble they live in a kind of modern take well 1950s modern take on a sort of caveman time not going to correct the child mistake you made there Bam Bam and Pebbles Pebbles is actually the daughter of Fred Flintstone
Starting point is 00:35:24 but that's the Flintstones. Oh, okay. Yeah, well, yeah. But that's the Flintstones. Bam Bam is the child. Bam Bam. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they have a dinosaur who's sort of a butler, but also kind of a lawnmower named Dino. So which one would you like to invest in?
Starting point is 00:35:36 How about instead? What about, okay, we've got Digimon. What about Analogmon? Oh, okay. So they're only kept in clocks and records? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got Digimon, what about Acoustamon? They're acoustic monsters.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah, acoustic monsters. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's Zaman's idea, but more wrong. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Misunderstanding digital, but more. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So they're made of guitars or whatever. Made of heart, made of hums. Yeah, yeah. This is my starter Pokemon. Yeah, yeah. So they're made of guitars or whatever. Made of heart. Made of hums.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Yeah, yeah. This is my starter Pokemon. Yeah, yeah. Sorry, my starter Acoustmon. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Oh, thank you so much. Now you get it.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Now you get it. Yeah. Do you have any questions about any of these? Any particular Mons? This makes sense to you off the bat. I... Yeah. What about an Appmon?
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah. It's on the phone. It's on the phone. Download it from the app store. Google Play store if you've got an Android. Yep. And then what? You click on it and it says the mon. Yeah, we've got to click other mons, other apps. So it's owning a phone. No, no, no. You could not misunderstand more.
Starting point is 00:36:42 So you get the app and you have to buy other apps. The more apps you buy, it's great. For us. So I don't know if you remember, but there's actually been a thing that's very similar to that. Oh, yeah. Where you used to collect barcodes.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Okay. And you'd scan them with this thing, and they would give you monsters associated with the barcodes. Yeah, okay. Well, that, though. That already exists. And they would give you monsters associated with the barcode. Yeah, okay. Well, that though. That already exists. Yeah, but did you like it? It was pretty cool in like 2003, I think.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Oh, okay. It's very similar to Monster Rancher, which is- It seems like you're describing groceries. Just going to shops and- Yes. Are the monsters groceries? No, the monsters aren't groceries. It's a separate-
Starting point is 00:37:24 So you get the groceries in real life. Okay. And you've got this thing. Is it a game or real life? Or is it an anime? It's actually... Or is it both? It's a game you're playing in real life,
Starting point is 00:37:32 but also going to the shops. Is it most games you play in real life? Yes. Well, in this situation, there's two things happening simultaneously. Okay. You're grocery shopping in real life. And at the same time,
Starting point is 00:37:42 you're playing this game, which wasn't on a phone, but now if they made it again, it would be on a phone, which is you just scan barcodes. When you scan the barcodes, it gives you a unique monster on your phone. But you're still buying the groceries. So in real life, you still get salary or whatever. But you get salarymon at the same time.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Are these monsters unique? I think so. What were you thinking? How much for an Appamon? I was imagining $2.99. Yeah, you get $2.99 for the Appamon, but then you have to buy other apps. Are they apps, guys?
Starting point is 00:38:16 No, no, they're apps. They're apps, but they're monsters. But they're monsters. But you go to your app store and you buy it, that'll count. That'll go towards it, and that's good for the Appamon. Yeah. You've got to collect them all, you buy it, that'll count. That'll go towards it. And that's good for the apps. You've got to collect them all, and there's a lot of apps. So Pokemon, Digimon, Appsmon.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Appsmon. And say for every app you get, when you open, say if you open, as opposed to going to the app store, you go to the Appmon. And then from that, you go and buy every app that you buy. We get 10%. Yeah, there you go. Well, yeah, so I guess it goes Pokemon, Digimon, Pokemon,
Starting point is 00:38:49 Motomon, Public Transportermon, Ape Chain, Chapemon, Gutsemon, Pizzemon, Face-a-mon, Uppermon, Briefcase-a-mon, Plastic Bag-a-mon. I think that's all the mons. And do you have any other mons you want to? No. Which one was the best replacement, do reckon I would say Gutsamon We threw a lot of mons at you JD
Starting point is 00:39:13 Maybe you can pick You can't pick your own That's cheating So that rules the only good one out Well maybe just take me through the highlights The ones you're most confident in each Gutsamon I'm Okay, well, I think... Guts them on, I'm all over that.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Yeah, I think guts them on would be great. I think breathing with your brain is great to do. Makes your brain less strong, because obviously it's expanding, less mass. And it means that if you run too... Do you know what any of the words you just said mean? If you run too hard with your brain as your lungs, you might get...
Starting point is 00:39:43 How does filling something with air mean less mass? You're putting mass in it. Air has weight. You're making it thinner as you breathe out. Because the brain stays the same size, it's just got to expand, which means it becomes less strong tensile. It stays the same size and it expands. No, because the brain itself isn't getting bigger.
Starting point is 00:40:03 It's just getting full of air. Yeah. You know? So you're making the pathways and the connectivity tissue. It's why a balloon pops. The connectivity tissue between the brain is wider, therefore easier for blood to flow, therefore smarter. Yeah, but you can't get puffed. No.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Because then your brain's going. That's how you get a fucking aneurysm. You have a stroke. That's not good. You don't want that. So it's a lot of It's risk reward I guess
Starting point is 00:40:26 With Gutsamon So I think If I had to put a mon That we've come up with today Forward As something I'd like to see Gutsamon Implemented
Starting point is 00:40:33 In real life It would be Gutsamon I think Yeah I'm gonna go with With Motamon Because I think also Watermotamon
Starting point is 00:40:41 Is a fun word to say Watermotamon See But also I like the idea of You're just driving around your mons, and you have a limited space of different mons, and really wherever you go, it's the open road. So you can go wherever you want. You can go to life or this video game.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Jack Kerouac's on the road, yeah. So I guess there's pros and cons to both. Pros to a motormon, obviously lots to do. Cons being the inclusion of water modemon and sky modemon feels like you're only getting some of the mons in modemon because they have a separate subcategory. Yeah, that is true.
Starting point is 00:41:13 The cons of gutsmon seems to be that the creator doesn't understand how the human body works. And aneurysms. Yeah, it's when the brain gets too puffed. Yeah, yeah, yes, yes. So I guess I'm going to have to probably It's when the brain gets too puffed. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Yeah. So I guess I'm going to have to probably. Yeah. Probably green light both. Yeah. Woo. Hear that? Nintendo.com.
Starting point is 00:41:34 We're coming. Digimon. Pokemon. Motomon. Gutsmon. Oh, yeah. Gutsamon. Gutsamon.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Gutsamon. Gutsamon. What does guts stand for? Guts a lot of good ideas here. Guts a lot of good ideas here, monsters. Yeah. I'd like to withdraw one green light. No, I've been red lit.
Starting point is 00:42:02 And on that note, I've been Joe. I've been Jackson. And I don't, I feel like I've been Joel I've been Jackson and I don't I feel like I've just been in a car accident what's your favourite Armand let us know
