Then the Lord said Moses, take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly stone him. Say to Israelites, if anyone who curses God, he will be held responsible. Anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord must be put to death. The entire assembly must stone him, whether an alien or near-born, when he blasphemes the name, he must be put to death. If anyone takes the life of a human being must be put to death
Starting point is 00:03:59 Anyone who takes the life of someone's animal Must be restitution life for life If anyone injures his neighbor whoever he has done Must be done to him Fracture for fracture eye for eye Tooth for tooth As he has injured the other so he is to be injured Whoever kills an animal must be restitution, but whoever kills a man must be put to death.
Starting point is 00:04:29 You ought to have the same wall for the alien and the Neoborne. I'm the Lord your God. Then Moses spoke to Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. The Israelites did as the Lord commanded Moses. Did you know, was a man really stoned for swearing? 2414. It depends on how you defunded. find the word swearing. The Bible says he blaspheming the name with a curse.

The Lord said Moses on the Mount Sinai. Speak to the Israelites and say to them, When you enter the land, I am going to give you the land. It's a land. self must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years, sow your fields and for six years, prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year, the land is to have a Sabbath of rest.
Starting point is 00:05:37 A Sabbath to the Lord, do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your unintended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. whoever the land yields during the Sabbath year will be food for you for yourself your man-servant and maid-servant and the hired worker and the temporary resident who live among you as well as for your livestock and wild animals in your land whatever the land produces may be eaten the year of jubilee count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years, so that the seven Sabbaths of years amount to a period of 49 years, then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the 10th day of the seventh month, on the day of atonement, sound the trumpet throughout your land. Concert the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants.

In this year of Jubilee, everyone is to return to his own property. If you sell the land to one of your countrymen or buy any from him,
Starting point is 00:07:34 do not take advantage of each other here to buy from your countrymen or on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee, and he is to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvering crops. When the years are many, you are to increase the price And when years of few, you are to decrease the price Because what he is really selling to you Is the number of crops, do not take advantage of each other But fear your God, I am the Lord your God Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws
Starting point is 00:08:12 You will live safely in the land Then the land will yield its fruit You will eat your fill and live there in safety. You may ask, what will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops? I'll send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years. Will you plant during the eighth year? You will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in. The land must not be sold permanently because the land is mine.
Starting point is 00:08:53 You are but aliens in my tendons. Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land. If one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells some of his property and his nearest relative is to come and redeem what his countryman has sold, if however a man has no one to redeem for him but he has he himself prospers and acquires a sufficient means to redeem it is to determine the value for the years since he sold it and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it he can then go back to his own property but if he does not acquire the means to repay it
Starting point is 00:09:46 or sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and he can then go back to his property. That is a house sold in any town they hold and is to be returned in the Jubilee because the houses and the towns of the Levites are their property among the Israelites. But the pasture land belonging to their towns must not be sold. It is their permanent possession. If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable
