The Water of Cleansing 19.
The Lord said that Moses and Aaron, this is the requirement of the law that the Lord has
commanded. Tell the Israelites to bring you a red hyfer without de facto or blemish and that has never been
under a yoke. Give it to Alizar, the priest, is to be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his
presence. Then Alizar, the priest, is to take some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle
it seven times toward the front of its tent of muting.
he watches the hyfer is to be burned. It's hide, flesh, blood, and ophal. The priest is to take some
satterwood, hysip, and scarlet will wool, and throw them on to the burning hyfer. After that,
the priest must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water. He may then come into the camp,
but he will be ceremonially unclean till evening.
The man who burns in must also wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he too will be unclean till evening.
A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the hyfer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp.
They shall be kept by the Israeli community for use in the water of cleansing is for purification from the sin.
The man who gathers up the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening.
This will be a lasting ordinance both for the Israelites and for the alien living among them.
Whoever touches the dead body of anyone will be unclean for seven days.
He must purify himself with the water on the third day, and on the same.
seventh day, then he will be clean. If he does not purify himself on the third, in seven days,
he will not be clean. Whoever touches the dead by of anyone, he fails to purify himself,
defiles the Lord's tabernacle. That person must be caught off from Israel, because the water
of cleansing has not been sprinkled on him. He is clean, unclean, his unclean. His unclin,
This remains on him.
This is the law that applies when a person dies in the tent.
Anyone who enters a tent and anyone who is in it will be unclean for seven days.
And every open container without a lid fastened and done it will be unclean.
I want out in the open who touches someone who has been killed with a sword or someone who has died in natural death.
or anyone who touches a human bone or a grave will be uncleaned for seven days.
But the unclean person put some ashes from the burned purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water over them.
And a man who is ceremonially clean is to take some adhesive, dip it in the water and sprinkle the tent,
all the furnishings and all the people who were there.
He must also sprinkle anyone who has touched.
to a human bone or a grave where someone who has been killed or someone who has died a natural death.
A man who is to sprinkle the unclean person on the third and seven days.
And on the seventh day he is to purify him.
The person being cleansed, mists, washes, clothes, and bathed with water.
And that evening, the person being cleansed, watches clothes and bathed with water, and that evening.
and that evening he will be clean.
Of a person who is unclean does not purify himself,
he must be cut off from the community because he has defiled.
The sanctuary of the Lord.
The water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on him,
and he has unclean.
This is a lasting ordinance for them.
The man who sprinkles the water of cleansing
has also washed his clothes,
and anyone who touches the water of cleansing will be unclean till evening.
Anything that an unclean person touches becomes unclean, and anyone who touches it becomes unclean till evening.
Water from the rock, 20.
In the first month, the whole Israeli community arrived at the desert of Zinn and stayed at Kadesh.
There, Miriam Dight and was buried.
Now, there was no war for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and there.
They quarreled with Moses and said,
If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the Lord.
Why did you bring the Lord's community into this desert that we and our livestock should die here?
Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place?
It has no grain or figs, grapevines, or pomegranates, and there's no water to drink.
Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the door.
tent of me and fell face down and the glory of the Lord appeared to them the Lord said to Moses take the staff
and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together speak to that rock before their eyes and
it will pour out its water you will bring out bring water out the rock the community so they
in their livestock and drink so Moses took the staff from the Lord's presence
just as he commanded met him.
He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock,
and Moses said to them,
Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock,
that Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with the staff,
water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
But the Lord said Moses and Aaron,
because you do not trust in me
to honor me
as holy in the sight of the Israelites
he will not bring
this community into the land I give them
these were the waters of
Mariba
where the Israelites
quarreled with the
Lord and where he showed himself
holy among them
Adam denies
Israel passage
Moses sent
messengers from Kadesh
to the king of Edom saying,
This is what your brother Israel says.
You know about the old hardships that have come upon us.
Our forefathers went down into Egypt.
We lived there many years.
The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers.
But when we cried out to the Lord, he heard our cry
and sent to Najanabhra of Egypt.
Now we are here at Kadesh,
a town on the edge of your territory.
place let us pass through your country.
We will not go through any field or vineyard or drink water from any well.
We will travel along the King's Highway and not turn to the right or to the left until we have passed through your territory.
But Adam answered,
He may not pass through here.
If you try, we will march out and attack you with the sword.
The Israelites replied, we will go along the main road.
And if we are our livestock, drink any of your water, we will pay for it.
We will only pass through on foot.
Nothing else.
Again, they answered, he may not pass through.
Then Adam came out against them with a large and powerful army.
Since Adam refused to let them go through their territory,
Israel took away from them.
The death of Aaron.
The whole Israelite community
set out from Kadesh and came to
Mount Hoare. To move the
border of Adam, the Lord said
Moses and Aaron. Aaron will
be gathered to his people. Give
the Israelites.
The rebel would again smack him
at the waters of Mirabal.
Stam, Alazar,
and take them up.
Mount Hor. Remove Aaron's
garments and put them on his son, Elisar, for Aaron will be gathered to his people. He will die there.
Moses did as the Lord commanded. They went up Mount Hoare in the sight of the whole community.
Moses removed Aaron's garments and put them on his son, Alzar, and Aaron died there on top of the mountain.
Then Moses and Alazar came down from the mountain.
And when the whole community learned that Aaron had died,
the entire house of Israel mourned for him 30 days.
That's what we're going to wrap up.
We'll pick back up at Arad destroyed 21.
Did you know why didn't God allow Moses to enter the promised land?
2012.
God was punishing Moses for his.
disobedience. God had told Moses to speak to a rock. The rock would then give the Israelites water.
Instead, Moses took his staff and hit the rock twice. It is important to obey God completely.
Not just partially, we show respect for God by obeying him in all things.
