Welcome to Positive Successor Episode 134.
Continuing on with the Bible. Let's get into it.
Harad destroyed.
21.
When the Canaanite King of Arad, who lived in the Najid, heard.
that Israel was coming along to the road to pass the rim.
He attacked the Israelites and captured some of them.
Then Israel made this vow to the Lord.
If you will deliver these people into our hands,
it will totally destroy their cities.
The Lord listened to Israel's plea
and gave the Canaanites over to them.
They completely destroyed them in their towns.
so the place was named Horma.
The bronze snake.
They traveled from Mount Hore
along the route to the Red Sea
to go around Adam.
But the people grew impatient on the way.
They spoke against God and God.
And against Moses and said,
Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert?
There is no bread.
There is no bread.
water and we detest this miserable food.
Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them.
They bit the people and many Israelites died.
The people came to Moses and said,
We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you.
Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.
So Moses prayed for the people.
The Lord said to Moses,
Make a snake and put it up on a pool.
Anyone who was bitten can look at it and live.
So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pool.
Then anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.
The journey to Mawab.
The Israelites moved on and camped at Oboth.
Then they set out from Oboth and camped, and I are a baron.
in the desert that faces Malab toward the sunrise.
From there, they moved on and camped in the Zared Valley.
They settled from there and camped alongside the Aron,
which is in the desert extending into Amorite territory.
The Arnon in the border of Malab between Malab and the Amurites,
that is why the book of the wars of the Lord says
Wahib and Sapha
in the ravines
the erinon
and the slopes of the ravines
that lead to the site of Arr
and lie along the border of Malab
from there they continued on
to bear
the well where
the Lord said to Moses
gather the people together and I will give them water
Then Israel sang the song
Spring up a well
Sing about it
About the well that the princes dug
That the nobles of the
People sank
The nobles with skeptors and staffs
Then they went
From the desert to
Madana
From Marana
To Nah
From Nahalil to Bamoth, and from Bamath to the valley in Malab where the top of Piscay
Overlooks this the wasteland.
Defeat of Sahan and Og.
Israel sent messengers to say to Sahan, King of the Amarites,
Let us pass through your country.
We will not turn aside into any field or vineyard or drink water from any well.
We will travel along the King's Highway, but until we have passed through your territory.
But Sahan would not let Israel pass through his territory.
He mustered his entire army.
He marched out into the desert against Israel.
when he reached jihad's.
He fought with Israel.
Israel, however, put him into the sword
and took over his land
from the Arnon to Jabuk.
But only as far as the Ammonites
because their border was fortified.
Israel captured all the cities of the emirites
and occupied them,
including Heshbon
and all its surroundings.
settlements. Heshbon was the city of Sahan king of the Amarites, who fought again, had fought
against the former king of Mawab and had taken from him all his land as far as the Arnan.
This is why the poets say, come to Hashban and let it be rebuilt, let Sahan city be restored.
Fire went out from Hashbon, a blaze from the city of Saha'an.
It consumed R of Malab, the citizens of Arnan's heights.
Wo to you, O Malab.
You are destroyed, O people of Chimash.
He has given up his son, says fugitives, and his daughters has captives to Sahan, king of Amarites.
but we have overthrown them.
Heshbon is destroyed all the way to Dishabon.
We have demolished them as far as Nofa,
which extends to Medeba.
So Israel settled in the land of the Amarites.
After Moses had sent spies to Jazeer,
The Israelites captured its surrounding settlements
and drove out the Emirates who were there.
Then they turned and went up along the road toward Bashan,
and Ag king of Bashan, and his whole army marched out to meet them in the Battle of Edray.
The Lord said to Moses, do not be afraid of him.
for I have handed him over to you with his whole army and his land.
Do you do him what you did to Zahun, king of the Emirates,
who reigned in Heshbon?
So they struck him down together with his sons and his army,
leaving them no survivors,
and they took possession of his land.
And that's what we're going to wrap up.
We'll pick back up with Black Summons 22.
Did you know what did Jesus say about the bronze snake?
21.9.
Jesus said that he would be lifted up on a pool.
John 314, page 1167.
Like the bronze snake Moses had made,
Jesus was referring to his death on the cross.
people in Moses' time who believed God enough to look at the bronze snake were saved from the poisonous snakes.
People today who believe God enough to look to Jesus for forgiveness are saved from their sins.
