David destroys the Malachites 30. David and his men reached Zyglag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Nagev and Ziklag.

They had attacked Zyglaug and burned it. And had taken captive the woman and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way. When David and his men came to Zigleg, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength, wept to leap. This story begins in one, Samuel 31, and is finished in two Samuel. Life in Bible times. Saul's armor. In Old Testament times, coats of armor were usually made by fastening metal pieces together. Heavy metal helmets protected the head. Saul was a big man, and his armor was probably very strong and very heavy.
