Today's topic, what are we talking about, is praying for others. So let's get into it. praying for others. You see in this world, in this life, in this lifetime, all around the world, we got to pray for others, pray for the world, pray for everyone, and everything. Because, because, like it says, let's live it, Genesis 18, 16 through 33, praying for others. Read Genesis 1816 through 33 in your Bible. This is an important story about praying for others.

Now try to answer the following three questions. If you need help, discuss the questions with a friend or one of your parents. How do I know that God cares about the people I pray for? Who else should I pray for besides the people I? I know and like. How does this story show that God will answer my prayers for other people? Make a list of people to pray for and things to ask God to do for them. Then use the list when you pray each day.

Genesis 18, 16 through 33. When the men got up to leave, they looked down towards Sildum and Abram walked along. with them to see them on their way. Then the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham? What am I going to do? What am I about to do? What I am about to do?

Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation. And all nations on earth will be blessed through him. For I have chosen him so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him. Then the Lord said, the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin is so grievous that I will go down and see what they are. have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me.

If not, I will know. The men turned away and went towards Sodom. But Abraham remained standing before the Lord. Then Abraham approached him and said, Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? What if there are 50 righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the 50 righteous people in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing.

To kill the righteous with the wicked, between the righteous and the wicked alike, far be it from you. Will not the judge of all the earth do right? The word said, If I find 50 righteous people in the city of Soto, I was spared the whole place for their sake. Then Abraham spoke up again. Now that I have been so bold has to speak to the Lord,

though I am nothing but dust and ashes. What if the number of the righteous is five less than 50? Will you destroy the whole city because of five people? If I find 45 there, he said, I will not destroy it. Once again, he spoke to him. What if only 40 are found there? He said, for the sake of 40, I will not do it.

Then he said, may the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only 30 can be found there? He answered, I will not do it if I find 30. Abraham said, now that I've been so bold. has to speak to the Lord. What if only 20 can be found there? He said, for the sake of 20, I will not destroy it. Then he said, may the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only 10 can be found there? He answered, for the sake of 10, I will not destroy it. When the people, when the Lord had finished speaking with Abraham, he left and Abraham returned home.

Praying for others is important. We want to pray for others and everyone and everything because we want to pray for, because we don't know individually what's going on through our bodies, ourself, in other people's shoes. the best thing we could do is pray for others in the time of need. Like, because when the Lord asked if, because Abraham was tested, he was asked if he found 45 there and he said he would not destroy it.

Once again, he spoke to them if, what if only 40 are found there? He said, for the sake of 40, I will not do it. Then he said, may the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only 30 can be found there? He answered, I would not do if I find 30 there. Abraham said, now that I've been so bold as to speak to the Lord. What if only 20 can be found there? He said, for the sake of 20, I will not destroy it.

and then for the sake of 10, he would not destroy it. So no matter how much people were there, it was not answered. There was a disagree on destroying with all the people there, because I feel like Abraham wants to pray for those people that are there. He doesn't want to destroy them there. He wants to pray for all the people there from the range of 45 people to 10, 45, 40, 30, 20, 20, 20. 20 and 10.

So no matter how many people were going to be there regardless, Abraham was not going to destroy the city, no matter how many people were there because he wanted, he wants to pray for those people that are there, not destroy, not be a destroyer in the people, but pray for the people of how many people were there. Because this verse is talking about praying for others. Abraham was praying for the others.

No matter if it was 45, 40, 30, 20, or 10, he was going to pray for those people regardless to pray for them, for the good for them. And you see, think about these three questions and praying for others. How do I know that God cares about the people I pray for? Who else should I pray for besides the people I know and like? How does this story show that God will answer my prayers

for other people. Then try this. Make a list of people to pray for and things to ask God to do for them. And then use the list when you pray each day. I am praying for others as well. I hope everyone is praying for others as well. Praying for others is a great thing

because praying for them is caring, supporting and making sure that they're all right by praying for them praying for the good things from them praying for them to keep going no matter what no matter what the case is always praying for them the city was called Sotom because Abraham pleads for Sotom Abraham, for those, for everyone who doesn't know, Abraham was Abram before he was blessed into Abraham. So Abraham slash Abraham pleads for soda.

So no matter how many people were in Sodom, the city of Sodom, he was going to pray for them regardless. He wasn't going to do a bad, bad thing to them by destroying. them. He was praying for them, praying for each any one of those people from 45 to 40 to 30 to 20 to 10. No matter how many people were going to be there regardless, Abraham was going to pray for those people and all those people in Sotom to pray to the other. side of the tunnel to be lit for them to get out of whatever they're going through. So I hope this helps each and I want you out there because it's important to pray. And praying for others is also very thoughtful to do because you want others to be, others to be safe and be okay and good and wherever they are.

And praying for others is such a great thing because, again, it shows you're supporting, caring, and love support and making sure they're praying for them to make sure they're okay and whatever they're doing.
