Welcome to positivity successor episode 296. Today's topic, what we're talking about is God is important, so let's get into it. God is important. You know, God is important because God sacrificed himself for each and any one of us.
Starting point is 00:00:43 When you have a prayer or you need someone to light you out of the end of the tunnel, when you need guidance in your life, one person that will be able to, one person, that will guide you through life is God because again he sacrificed himself for each other one of us and he'll answer your prayer when you pray he can answer your prayers
Starting point is 00:01:24 and you will have guidance and light will shine through the end of the tunnel of darkness for each and one of you because you see in Let's Live it Genesis 25 27 through 34
Starting point is 00:01:54 God is important Ishaal had special rights as the oldest son he was to inherit the promises God had made to his grandfather Abraham
Starting point is 00:02:13 Read Genesis 25, 27 through 34. What did Ishael do that showed that God was not important to Him? How a person acts shows others how important God is to that person. Make up an ending to each of these short stories. Your ending should show how the person will act if God is important to him. or her. Tell your endings to a friend or to one of your parents. The guys were throwing stones at passing cars. Come on, Tim, they said, it's fun. Here, take this stone. Sarah, I won't come to your party if Cindy is there. Judy said, Cindy wears old clothes and looks funny.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Hey Justin, his best friend whispered, what's the answer to question five? Can you tell a true story of something you did that shows God is important to you? So Genesis 25, 27 through 34. The boys grew up and East Island became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents. Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Isailu, but Rebecca loved Jacob. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Ishaul came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, quick, let me have some of that red stew. I'm famished.
Starting point is 00:04:13 That is why he was also called Edom. Jacob replied First sell me your birthright Look, I am about to die Isalu said What good is the birthright to me But Jacob said Swear to me first
Starting point is 00:04:32 So he swore a note to him Selling his birthright to Jacob Then Jacob gave you Isau Some bread and Some lentil stew he ate and drank and then got up and left so isaou despised his birthright so the boys grew up and isaul became a skillful hunter a man of the open country while jacob was a quiet man staying among the tents isaac who had a taste for wild game loved isaulu but rebecca loved jacob Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Isalu came in from the open country, famished.
Starting point is 00:05:29 He said to Jacob, quick, let me have some of that red stew. I'm famished. That is why he was also called Adam. Jacob replied, first, sell me your birthright. when Jacob said to to Isahu to he said swear to me first like promise
Starting point is 00:05:53 to him first so they swore an oath selling the birthright to Jacob then Jacob gave Isau some bread and some lentil stew he ate and drank and then got up and left
Starting point is 00:06:09 so Issaul despised bides his birthright. So Jacob and Isauu get sworn an oath that if Jacob, if Issaul gave Jacob his birthright, Jacob would give Isau some bread and some lentil stew. So that's what they did. And Issao got some bread and some lentil stew that he ate and drank and got then got up and left. and Jacob got the birthright of Issaul. It goes into the question, what did Issaul do that showed not,
Starting point is 00:07:01 that showed that God was not important to him. And what Issaul did that showed that God was not important to him was selling, Issaul sold his birthright to Jacob. How a person acts shows that. others how important God is to that person. We all connect in many different ways. And the most important thing is that I believe God would look for as the good and healing the bad. Because like lighting the end of the,
Starting point is 00:07:55 lighting the tunnel of darkness, the darkness is the problem. that we all go through. And when the tunnel is light up, that's when all the problems get resolved and go away. Just like the emotions. If you turn that frown upside down into a smile, the tunnel will light up the problems away. If you keep in the dark,
Starting point is 00:08:38 with what you're going through. It may never get resolved unless you find a positive out of that situation because you can't go through life with a negative mind. You can always go through life with a positive mind.
Starting point is 00:08:57 And God is here for us, each and every one of us, every single day of our life, through our prayers, through our feelings, through our emotions, through whatever that we're going through. God is here for us. He's here for guidance.
Starting point is 00:09:26 In answer, God sacrifice himself for each and one of us. Jesus Christ, God, Lord, our Savior, our King, Father, Father, Son, the Holy Spirit. Reading some of these scenarios, the guys were thrown stones that passed. cars. Come on, Tim, they said, it's fun. Here, take this stone. I feel like, I feel like Tim, not accepting, taking the stone and throwing it at the other cars, shows how different, how different he was feeling from his friends, the guys that were throwing the stones at the passing cars. I feel like Tim, Tim made a, made a choice not to because he didn't want to throw, he didn't want to be like the guys throwing the stones at the passing cars. He would, he wanted to
Starting point is 00:10:57 make the right, right message at the right time by not taking the stones because it, The guys are vandalizing the other people's cars and by Tim not making that decision, makes them strong to realize what the situation they went to was. Next one. Sarah, I won't come to your party if Cindy is there. Judy said, Cindy wears all clothes and looks funny. so so judy so uh so judy judy doesn't want to be at a party because someone else that she doesn't like will be there
Starting point is 00:11:55 that's the message judy is by saying that she wears all clothes and looks funny and bullying isn't what we condone you gotta be the three no matter what someone looks like inside and outside we should always accept them at parties or wherever we go we shouldn't not be somewhere because someone else is doing wearing something that they don't like because in picking on them that's not right so judy is in the wrong for for making fun like making fun of.
Starting point is 00:12:55 The next one says, Hey Justin, his best friend whispered. What's an answer to the question five? So his best friend, Justin's best friend, it's asking him for the answer to the question five. What if they were in the classroom and they were taking the test
Starting point is 00:13:20 quietly? And the best friend we're a whisper because it's in the quiet testing room to his friend Justin. To Justin, his best friend. The best friend whispers, what's an answer to question five? So I think all that time with the lessons and the quizzes and all the study guides that you're given. should be the case to answer on your own, not to ask a friend for the answer. So can you tell a story of how God is important to you?
Starting point is 00:14:09 Thanks for tuning to our student and storytelling. Marrard to look back at the reflections of ourselves in the mirror. To all the beautiful and handsome people out there, because you're a work in progress and will get to you where we want to light believe that. Starting point is 00:14:32 And think about how God is important to each anyone of you. Because God is important to all of us. Believe that. God bless. Amen. Have a positive day.
