Welcome to positivity successor episode 297.
Today's topic, what we talking about is running away.
So let's get into it.
Running away.
Do you feel like the best thing to do is to run away?
Because you see in life, the person that never ran away from anything is God.
God went through everything head on face to face.
God never ran away from anything in life.
in life, are you trying to run away from a test that is too hard?
Are you trying to run away from a problem that you can't solve?
Are you trying to run away from a situation you can't resolve?
Because you see, and let's live it, Genesis 26, 17 through 33, running away.
Running away, whenever Isaac dug a well, other people wanted to take it from him.
Every time, Isaac just let them take his well.
How do you think Isaac felt?
Do you think running away was a good thing to do?
Why or why not?
Read Genesis 26-17 through 33 to find out what helped Isaac to stop running.
hint the answer is in genesis 26 24 after god told isaac not to be afraid
Isaac stood up to his enemy in the end instead of fighting they made an agreement to be at peace
with each other if anyone treats you the way Isaac was treated talk to an adult friend about it
be honest about how you feel.
Pray and ask God to help you not to be afraid.
Ask for ideas and how to make an agreement to solve the problem.
Read Genesis 2617 to 33.
So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the valley of Guru R and settled there.
Isaac reopened the wells that had been done.
in the time of his father Abraham,
which the Philistines had stopped up
after Abraham died,
and he gave them the same names
his father had given them.
Isaac's servants dug in the valley
and discovered a well of fresh water there,
but the herdsmen of Gerr
quarreled
with Isaac's herdman
and said,
The water is ours.
So he named the well Hissek, because they disputed with him.
Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also.
So he named it Sitna.
He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it.
He named it Rehobath, saying,
Now the Lord has given us room, and we will for us.
in the land. From there he went up to Beersheba. That night, the Lord appeared to him and said,
I am the God of your father, Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will bless you
and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant, Abraham. Isaac built
an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he paid.
pitched his tent, and there his tents served servants dug a well.
Meanwhile, Abba Malesh had come to him from Garar with Huzath, his personal advisor,
and Phil call the commander of his forces.
Isaac asked him, why have you come to me since you were hostile,
to me and sent me with.
They answered,
we saw clearly that the Lord was with you.
So we said,
there ought to be
a sworn agreement
between us and you.
Let us make a treaty with you
that you will do us no harm.
Just as we
did not molest you, but
always treat you well
and sent you away.
in peace, and now you are blessed by the Lord.
Isaac then made a feast for them, and they ate and drank.
Early the next morning, the men swore an oath to each other.
Then Isaac sent them on their way, and they leapt him in peace.
That day, Isaac's servants came and told him about the well.
They had dug.
They said, we've found water.
He called it Shabbah.
And to this day, the name of the town has been Bersheba.
When Issaul was 40 years old, he married Judith, daughter of Birhab, the Hidite,
and also basemath daughter of Alan the Hidite.
They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebecca.
So it's very interesting that in the passage that we read,
It's very interesting that they used the word quarreled.
Because, as you can recall, in episode 2.92, we were talking about how to stop family quarrels.
And the fact that they brought up in this passage again about being quarreled is amazing.
like another message of quarreled being out in here because quarreled means a dispute disagreement or
a fight over or something and when uh when the wells were being dug because it says right here the
the water's ours so he named the well exec because they disputed with them they disputed with them because
They discovered a well of fresh water,
and the herds of Gerard quarreled with Isaac's herdman,
had a dispute with Isaacsherdman,
and said that the water is theirs.
And then so we named the well insect.
Because they disputed with them, they dug another well,
but they quarreled over that one also.
They had a dispute over that one also.
So they named it Sitna.
He moved on it from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled.
No one had dispute over the other well that was dug.
So they came to peace with that one.
It was kind of like that the quarreled wells that they were fighting over
was part of running away.
but when the when they dug another well that no one quarreled over it was like it was a stop of running
so so the other wells that were dug it felt like that they were fighting over having a dispute of quarrels over
that would be like running away but when they found they finally uh
moved on from
from those
wells and dug
dug another well
I was like a finally
agreement came to
and no longer
stopped running away from
having a dispute
and finally coming to peace with one another
you see going back to God
God never
ran away from anything
God always
faced everything face on like he he sacrificed himself for each and one of us and that was
that was tough but and he saved he saved each and one of us by doing that and god god is our king
Jesus, Lord, God is our king, our Savior, our Lord, our Father, Son, Father, Son, the Holy Spirit.
So Isaac asked the question, why have you come to me since you were hostile to me and sent me away?
And the people answered, we saw clearly that the Lord was with you.
so we said there ought to be a sworn agreement between us between us and you let us make a treaty with you
that you will do us no harm just as we do not molest you but always treated you well and sent you away in peace
and now you are blessed by the lord so so for that for the people coming to the agreement
with Isaac in peace and being blessed by the Lord.
Isaac then made a feast for them, and they ate and drank early the next morning.
The men swore an oath to each other.
Then Isaac sent them on their way, and they left him in peace.
That day, the Isaac servants came and told him about the well that they had dug.
They said, we found water.
He called it Shaba.
And to this day, the name of the town had been Birshaba.
When Isha was 40 years old, he married Judah,
to the headite and also basemath, daughter of Yer-Vilon, the headite.
They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebecca.
So I feel like the life lesson here is shouldn't be should never run away for anything because Isaac
Isaac was facing everything head on trying not to run away and because when the people saw that Isaac was trying to face everything head on and
trying to run away.
They saw that the Lord was with Isaac,
so they came to an agreement.
So we should always face everything head on
because we are resilient,
hardworking, and strong in every way,
just like how God faced everything head on.
So I hope everyone enjoyed this interesting biography.

of ourselves in the mirror
