Today's topic, what we're talking about is what is important. So let's get into it. What is important in life in this world, in this lifetime, everything in life is important. What is not important is the stuff in life that will distract us from our destiny and our purpose and life. Because when we focus on the things that distract us, we get off track. and we could lose our focus and whatever we're trying to focus on. And you see, and let's live it, Genesis 28, 10 through 22. What is important?

Make a list of the most important things you can ask God for when you pray. Now read Genesis 28, 10 through 22. Jacob wanted three things from God. You can find them in this passage. Jacob wanted God to be with him and to watch over him on his journey, to give him food to eat and clothes to wear, and to return home safely to his father's house. God gave Jacob the important things he wanted and needed.

Can you think of three really important things God has given you? Thank him for these things when you pray. Read, now read Genesis 28, 10 through 22. Jacob's dream at Bethel. Jacob left Beersheba and sat out for Haran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set, taking one of the stones there. He put it under his head and lay down to sleep.

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said, I am the Lord, the God of God. your father, Abraham, and the God of Isaac, I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north, and to the south. All people is on earth will be blessed through you and your

offspring, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought surely the Lord is in this place and I was not aware of it. He was afraid and said, how awesome is it? his place. This is none other than the house of God. This is the gate of heaven. Early the next morning, Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called lust. Then Jacob made a vow saying, if God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey, I am taking and will it will give me food to eat and clothes to wear so that I return safely to my father's house.

Then the Lord will be my God. And the stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's house in all of all that you give. me I will give you a tenth. So what Jacob thought and promised and made a vow saying that was important is for God to be with him and watch over his journey, taking and willing to give him food to eat and close to where. So and so he would be turned safely to his father's house. Then said the Lord will be my God, and this stone that is set up as a pillar will be God's house.

And he said that of all that you give me, I will give you a tenth. You see in life, everything is in importance. And like how Jacob Jacob made a vow of a vow of the important things that he would like to pray for in life. Praying for God to be with him and watching over him on the journey that he is taking and giving food to eat and close to where. And returning safely to his father's house, then he is safe. said the Lord will be my God and this stone that he has set up will be a pillar. Set up as a pillar will be God's house.

And of all that you give me, I'll give you a tenth. The Lord, the Lord then said, all peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will. watch over you wherever you go and i will bring back to this land i will not leave you until i have done what i what i have promised to you so that's when jacob woke up from his sleep and and jacob made a vow of promises to pray for that would be important so praying is important so praying is praying is along the lines of importance because when you can pray for something your your prayers can be answered to god when you pray for what you want through god god will answer what you prayed for to god

God is here for each and one of us through each and every one of our prayers through our guidance through the guidance and through everything in life because when Jacob wanted three things from God God gave Jacob the important things

he wanted and needed so so think So think of important things that you feel like that God is giving you. And thank them for these things when you pray. Because you see, I'll pray for three things that God has given me and I'm thankful for. One of those things that I am thankful for him for is, a significant other in my life.

Still, still breathing and still alive every single day. I'm thankful for that waking up every day. And I thank God for, I think God for sacrificing himself for each and one of us in this world. and also thank you, God, for family and friends of the world. Bless and grateful for all those four things in life. A significant other family and friends, being able to wake up every single day and still breathing and sacrificing yourself for each and every one of us in this world.

those are the four important things that I am thankful for every single day. Those are four important things I'm grateful for every day. So just know that when you want three things from God like Jacob did and you can pray for them, God will be here to give you those important things like God gave Jacob the important things he wanted and needed.
