Welcome to positivity successor episode 300. Today's topic what we're talking about is family favoritism. So let's get into it.

family favoritism, you know, in life, in this world, in this lifetime. Family favoritism is in every household of family. There needs no explanation. There's always in every family, family favoritism. But let's not forget the cards that we've been dealt with, within our family because with the cards that we've been dealt with in our family to have as our family members has our friends as our girlfriends boyfriends everyone around the world to cherish the most memories and remember everything in life don't forget that no matter what family you're dealt with

no matter what friends you're dealt with, no matter what spouse you're dealt with, you always should still love them inside and out. There shouldn't be a family favoritism. Everyone in the family should be a favorite because we're all in the family a unity, including all friends. All friends were in unity. and all spouses were in unity. The common word there is unity because without family, I can't even fathom about that because family is everything in life. Friends are everything in life.

Spouses are everything in life. Family is our support system to get to the purpose and destiny we want to achieve in life and we can't get to success without family, friends, or spouses in our lives. So, and let's live it, Genesis 37, 1 through 11, family favoritism. Read Genesis 37, 1 through 11. Jacob showed that he loved his son, so Joseph, Joseph, Joseph. Joe, the most by giving him a beautiful coat. The story says that Joseph's brothers hated him.

Joseph didn't help the situation by being proud about his dream. Do you ever feel like your parents love one of your brothers or sisters more than they love you? Ask your parents that they ever felt that way when they were young. Read this Bible story aloud sometime and have your family talk about how Joseph and his father could have helped the family closer, feel closer, and happier. Read Genesis 37 1 through 11. Joseph's Dreams 37 Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed.

the land of canon. This is the account of Jacob. Joseph, a young man of 17, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilha and the sons of Zobah. His father's wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them. Now Israel loved Joseph more

than any of his other brothers, because he had been born to him in his old age and he made a richly ornamented robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a word to him, a kind word to him. Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers,

they hated him all the, All the more. He said to them, listen to this dream I had. We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it. His brother said to him, do you intend to rain over us? Will you actually rule us? And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said. Then he had another dream. And he told it to his brothers, listen, he said. I had another dream. And this time the sun and the moon and the 11 stars were bowing down to me.

When he told his father as well as his brothers, he is his first. father rebuked him and said, What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you? His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter and mind. So if we can just go back for a second to a new name, Israel is the name that Jacob got. So when you hear the name Israel, it's not a place.

It's the struggle that Jacob, that was given to Jacob has a name because he was struggling and wrestling with God. And so when when Joseph told his brothers, listen to this dream I had, we were binding sheaves of grain out on the field. Like they were in unity together and binding shebs of grain out on the field when suddenly a sheaf rose

and stood up right while your shebes gathered around mine and bowed down to it so joseph was loved was was getting family favorite so jacob loved his son joseph jacob was family favoritism favorite he was family favoritizing Joseph more than the other brothers. Jacob showed that he loved his son Joseph the most by giving him a beautiful coat instead of giving coats to the other brothers. And the story says that Joseph's brothers hated him. Joseph didn't help the situation by being proud about his dream. It says at the end that his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

That's the same saying here that Joseph didn't help the situation by being proud about his dream, despite the story that says that Joseph's brothers hated him for being given a beautiful coat. So the message here is because Jacob was struggling with, because Jacob was struggling with God, wrestling with God in the name of Israel, I feel like Jacob should have favored all the brothers, all the siblings, not just one. Jacob should Because

Jacob is So it says here Have your family talk about how Joseph and his father Could have helped the family feel closer and happier I feel like What would have helped the family feel closer and happier Is

not favoring One of the siblings but all of the all of the kids that Jacob has he should have should have any favor favoritism in it at all just being the loving supportive parent by by supporting all of his all of his kids not just Joseph but all the brothers is what Joseph should have done to help the family feel closer and happier.
