Israel rebels against Rehobam 12. for all the Israelites had gone there to make him king. When Jeroboam, son of Nabat, heard this, he was still in Egypt where he had fled from King Solomon.

religion for his kingdom he set up two golden cabs for the Israelites to worship and told the people that they didn't need to go all the way to Jerusalem to worship he also set up new religious holidays

in place of the ones God's law had established For the next 200 years, every king of the 10 tribes of Israel led people to worship God in this false and evil way.
