Did you know what were Israel and Judah? 15.1.25. After Solomon had died, his kingdom was divided.
Starting point is 00:00:38 The southern part of his kingdom became a separate nation called Judah. The northern part of his kingdom became a separate nation called Israel. The first king of Judah was Riobone, and the first king of Israel was Jerobone. And the rest of one kings and then two kings. Israel and Judah are the names given to these two separate nations. Basha, king of Israel. In the third year of Azah, king of Judah, Basha, son of Ahijah, became king of all Israel and Tursa. And he reigned 24 years, hit it evil in the eyes of the Lord, walking the ways of the ways.

Then Amri and all of his, Israelites with him withdrew from Gibbathon and laid siege to Tursa. When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the royal palace and set the palace on fire around him. So he died because of the sins he had committed doing evil in the eyes of the Lord and walking in the ways of Jerobam. And in that sin he had committed and had caused Israel to commit. As for the other events of Zimri's reign and the rebellion he carried out,
Starting point is 00:06:10 are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? Omri, King of Israel. Then the people of Israel were split into two factions. Half supported Timni, son of Ganneth for king, and the other half supported Amri. But Amri's followers proved stronger than those of Timney's son of Ghanath. So Timney died and Amri became king. In the 31st year of Azah, king of Judah, Amri became king of Israel.
Starting point is 00:06:53 And he reigned 12 years, six of them in Turza. He bought the hill. of Samaria from Shemmer for two talents of silver and built a city on the hill. Connard's Samaria after Shemmer
Starting point is 00:07:11 the name of the former owner of the hill. But Omri did evil in the eyes of the Lord and sinned more than all those before him. He walked in all the ways of Jerobam,
Starting point is 00:07:27 son on a bat, and in his sin which he had caused Israel to commit so that they provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger by their worthless idols. As for the other events of Amri's reign, what did he did and the things he achieved, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? Amri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria and Ahab. his son succeeded him as king. Ahab becomes king of Israel. In the 38th year of Azah, king of Judah,
Starting point is 00:08:15 Ahab, son of Amri, became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria over Israel 22 years. Ahab, son of Amri, did more evil in the eyes of the Lord than any of those before him. He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jerobo, son of Nabat, but he also married Jezebel's daughter of Ethbal, king of the Sedonians, and began to serve Ball and worship him. He was not afraid of the evil being a hub or his wicked wife, Jezebel. God gave Elijah power to do great miracles to show the people that the Lord was the one and only true God.
