Welcome to Positive Successor Episode 375.
Today's topic, what we're talking about is scared but willing.
So let's get into it.
Scared, but Willing.
scared is an emotion and willing is an action that you try in life you got to be able to be willing to do
the things you want to do being scared is a tactic that the enemy should i say that the devil is
trying to, trying to
antagonize us in.
But we'd never
let the devil win.
Never let the devil win.
Never be scared.
Be willing to try through everything
that you set your mind to.
Because God is with us.
God is here for each and every one of us.
God is here to shine the
light at the end of the tunnel for every single one of us out there.
Because in Let's Live it, Judges 7-1 through 21, scared but willing.
Even though Gideon was afraid, he trusted God.
Read Judges 7-1-21.
Gideon's 300 men must have been frightened too, but Gideon said,
follow my lead.
Do exactly as I do.
Judges 717.
Is there someone
who is a good example
for you? Write that person
a thank you letter.
Here's a good way to start your letter.
Dear
Blank, I just read the
story of Gideon and Judges 7.
He was a good example
to his men.
He helped them
and trust God.
and showed them what to do to please God.
This Bible story made me think of you.
You are a good example to me.
Here are some of the ways I want to be like you as I grow up.
When you finish writing your letter, be sure to mail it.
Read Judges 7, 1 through 21.
Gideon defeats the Midianites 7.
early in the morning
Jerob Ball
that is Gideon
and all his men
camped at the spring
of Harad
the camp of Midian
was north of them
in the valley
near the hill
or of
Moray
the Lord said to Gideon
you have too many men
for me to deliver
Midian
into their hands
in order that
Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her announced now to the people
anyone who trembles with fear may turn back and leave Mount Gilead so 22,000 men left while
10,000 remained but the Lord said to Gideon there are still too many men take them down to the
water. I will sift them before you there. If I say, this one shall go with you, he shall go.
But if I say, this one shall not go with you, he shall not go. So Gideon took the men down to the water.
There the men, there the Lord told him, separate those who lap the water with their tongues like a
from those who kneel down to drink.
Three hundred men lapped with their hands to their mouths.
All the rest got down on their knees to drink.
The Lord said to Gideon,
With the 300 men that lapped, I will save you
and give the Midianites and to your hands.
Let all the other men go, each to his own place.
So Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites to their tents, but kept the 300,
who took over the provisions and trumpets of the others.
Now the camp of Midian lay below him in the valley.
During that night, the Lord said to Gideon,
get up, go down against the camp, because I'm going to give it into your hands.
If you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with their servant, Pura, and listen to what they are saying.
Afterward, you will be encouraged to attack the camp.
So he and Pura, his servants, went down to the outposts of the camp, the Midianites, the Malachiites,
and all the other Eastern peoples had settled in the valley.
thick as locusts their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream i had a dream he was saying a round loaf of barley bread came in tumbling into the midianite camp it struck the tent with such force that the tenet
sent overturned and collapsed.
His friend responded,
this could be nothing other than the sword of Gideon's son.
Abjush, the Israelite.
God has given the Midianites in the whole camp into his hands.
When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation,
he worshipped God.
He returned to the camp of Israel and called out,
Get up.
The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands,
dividing the 300 men into three companies.
He placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them with torches inside.
Watch me, he told him.
Follow my lead when I get to the edge of the camp to exactly as I do.
When I and all who are with,
with me blow our trumpets, and then from all around the camp, blow yours and shout,
For the Lord and for Gideon.
Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the mill watch,
just after they had changed the guard, they blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.
The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the trumpets.
jars, grasping the torches in their left hands, and holding in their right hands the trumpets
they were to blow. They shouted, a sword for the Lord and for Gideon, while each man held his
position around the camp. All the millionites ran crying out as they fled. When the 300 trumpets
sounded, the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords.
The army fled to Beth Shatah towards Zerarra, as far as the border of Ebel Mahola near Tabath.
Israelites from Nathatali, Asher, and Almanese were called out, and they pursued the Midianites.
Gideon sent messengers threw out the hill country of Ephraim, saying,
Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters of the Jordan ahead of them as far as Beth Barra.
So all the men of Ephraim were called out, and they took the waters of the Jordan as far as Beth Barra.
They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, or rea.
And Zeeb, they killed Orib at the rock of Orib, and Zeb at the wine press of Zeb.
They pursued the Mayanites and brought the heads of Orib and Zeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan.
In all aspects of life, we had to learn not to be able to be afraid, not be scared of anything in life.
be willing to risk it forward no matter what being willing to try
willing to try in all all in all the storylines of life and everything of life so just know
god is here with every one each and every one of you through your prayers through guidance
help along the way.
The light at the end of the tunnel.
He is there for each and every one of us.
And he all wants us to try and be willing to do whatever it takes.
God doesn't want us to be afraid or scared.
God wants us to go forward no matter what it is,
just like he went through.
So be willing to try.
Don't be scared.
Don't be afraid.
Be willing to try everything you can.
