Today we're going to be talking about the areas of wellness and well-being. I mentioned yesterday that it was mental, health, Health Awareness Month. And that gave me a great idea to go over the areas of wellness and the well-being. So let's get into it.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Start with physical health. Physical health has to do with nutrition, exercise, sleep, overall physical well-being, and physical body. So it's all about it helps with the movement aspect. Then we got mental health, cognitive functions,
Starting point is 00:02:03 thoughts, mental processes, and the mind. Then you got emotional health, which is experience, recognize, and managing emotions in healthy ways. To know what cognitive is in the mental health,
Starting point is 00:02:32 cognitive is mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses. Spiritual health. The side of spiritual health is sense of meaning, purpose, connection to larger than ourselves. Contribute to, you see, we all got contribute to these four dimensions for a balancing and fulfilling life.
Starting point is 00:03:14 So we all acquire these health sides. the physical health, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health, because it helps us know what we need to do to stay healthy and stay consistent within ourselves to a well-balanced life. See nutrition, the food, healthy food, Exercise is movement, like the staying active. You got to have sleep. Like typically eight hours of sleep is beneficial.
Starting point is 00:04:25 But you can get however, however much sleep you need. Just don't make it a short, short amount of sleepage because you'll be still tired anymore. Overall, physical well-being, like our well-being self, can be moving at all times and staying healthy, the physical body, the physical body. keep moving no matter what mental health um the cognitive functions um like got to pay attention to know the knowledge and understanding through the thoughts we have through the experiences we go through and then the senses. We all know sense, five senses,
Starting point is 00:05:48 smell, see, taste, hear, touch. And our mind, we got to always think positively because you can't go through life with a negative mind. if you think but bad things it's not good you gotta think positive things
Starting point is 00:06:25 out of the situations and and blocks that you come across just in every situation try to think what would be positive out of those situations
Starting point is 00:06:42 and it would be hard but just know it'll help you turn your frown upside down. Speaking about Montel, just like I said in the last episode, if you need a hand to pull you out of the dark hole, you can take my hand. You're loved. You matter.
Starting point is 00:07:19 You can do whatever you want to do. You're not a failure. Just keep pushing. and keep doing what you need to be happy at peace and be successful in every way. Love the reflection you see when you look in that mirror back at you because you are a work in progress. You are working in progress to become amazing and resilient.
Starting point is 00:07:58 strong, hardworking, all those things. And then emotional, like the, like I said, experience, like what we go through, we got to recognize the experiences that we're going through. And then got to try to manage the emotions in healthy ways. so we could turn the frown upside down into a smile. And the spiritual health have a sense of meaning. Like, we all mean something to the world, positive meanings to the world.
Starting point is 00:08:53 We all have a positive purpose. Everyone has a positive purpose for the world. we have connections to larger things than ourselves. Because with all these things we can work on, we can contribute to these four dimensions, these four health sides, to help us with the balancing and fulfilling life. So I hope this time.
