Today's episode, we're going to be going over all the Let's Live it's from the Bible from the genesis, starting from the beginning all the way to the current chapter

so let's get into it let's live it Genesis 1-26 through 27 you're special read Genesis 1-26 through 27 God made you in his own image you're not like the other creatures God made

humans are the only creatures that God created in his own image or likeness. That doesn't mean that you look like God or that you're equal to God, but it does mean that you are his very special creation. Look at pictures of your mom or dad when they were your age. How were they like you? How were they different? Your parents love you very much because you are their child

and you are like them in important ways. Ask your mom or dad. dad to tell you why they think you are special. God loves you very much because you are his child and is one of a kind special creation, made in his own image, but still your very own person. Write a letter to God thanking him for adopting you as his son or daughter, for creating you in his image and for loving you so very much. Let's live it.

Genesis 3 1 through 13 Wrong decisions Adam and Eve made a wrong decision and they ate from a tree that God had told them to leave alone Do you ever wonder why they did it? For some answers read Genesis 3 1 through 13 Adam and Eve made the wrong decision because 3 4 someone told them it was all right to do the wrong thing

3.5. It looked like an exciting thing to do. 3.6. A close friend did it first. After Adam and Eve had made that wrong decision, they felt guilty and afraid. They hid from God when he entered the garden. They knew they had done wrong, but it was too late. Think about what you should say if someone tells you it's all right to do a wrong thing. If something wrong looks exciting or if a friend does the wrong thing first and wants you to do it too, if you can't think of a good answer, ask an older friend or your mom or dad for advice. Let's live it.

Genesis 8, 20 through 22, 9, 12 through 17. Thank God. Read Genesis 8, 20 through 22. in 912 through 17. When Noah and his family left the ark, they built an altar and thanked God for keeping them safe in the ark. God was pleased and he sent a rainbow has a promise, never to send such a flood again.

Noah and his family had many reasons to be thankful for fun, make a list of all the reasons you and your family have for being thankful. Let's live it. Genesis 13 1 through 18 How to stop family quarrels. The herdsmen of Abram and Lott quarreled about using the land and were to graze and water their flocks.

There just wasn't enough room for both groups to live and raise their animals. Abram decided to stop the quarrel. read Genesis 131 through 18 to find out how he did it. Most brothers and sisters quarrel at times. Here is a suggestion to help stop the quarreling. From the story of Abram, make up rules such as give the other person first choice. Be satisfied with what is left.

No name calling and no hitting. Make a badge with Abram's name on it. When you have a family quarrel, choose a person to wear the Abram badge. What Abraham used the rules you have made to decide how to stop the quarrel. You could even take turns being Abram. Then each of you will learn how to please God, just as Abram did. Let's live it. Genesis 15, 1 through 6.

Believe God's promise. God promised Abram that he would, have a son and more descendants than Abram could count. Read Genesis 151 through 6. Abram was 85 years old and had no children when God gave him this promise. But he believed God anyway and had faith that God would fulfill the promise. God then said that Abram's faith made Abram righteous before God. You can become righteous before God by believing in God's.

son, Jesus. Jesus die on the cross to save you and make you righteous before God. If you have never believed that Jesus is your Savior or if you are not sure, write down this prayer on a piece of paper and sign it. I believe that Jesus, I believe that Jesus is my Savior. Thank you, God, that I am now righteous before you and that you will take me to heaven when I die. Let's live it. Genesis 18, 16 through 33. Praying for others. Read Genesis 1816 through 33 in your Bible. This is an important story about praying for others.

Now, I try to answer the following three questions. If you need help, discuss the questions with a friend or one of your parents. How do I know that God cares about the people I pray for? Who else should I pray for besides the people I know and like? How does this story show that God will answer my prayers for other people? Make a list of people to pray for and things to ask God to do for them and then use the list when you pray each day. Let's live it.

Genesis 24, 1 through 21. Praying in your heart. Praying in your heart means praying to God without saying anything out loud. In Genesis 24 1 through 21, read what happened when Abraham's servant may have prayed in his heart. Here are some places you might want to pray in your heart instead of out loud. In school, you might pray in your heart when you were about to take a test. You may pray in your hearts when you have to perform in front of an audience. You might pray in your heart on the school bus if teasing is going on.

List three other places or situations in which you might want to pray in your heart. And then list three places or situations in which you would pray out loud. Let's live it. Genesis 25, 27 through 34, God is important. Ishaul had special rights as the oldest son. He was to inherit the promises God had made to his grandfather Abraham. Read Genesis 25, 27 through 34. What did I Sa'u do that showed that God was not important to Him?

How a person acts shows others how important God is to that person. Make up an ending to each of these short stories. Your ending should show. how the person will act if God is important to him or her. Tell your endings to a friend or to one of your parents.

The guys were throwing stones at passing cars. Come on, Tim. They said, it's fun here. Take this stone. Sarah, I won't come to your party if Cindy is there. Judy said,

Read Genesis 26, 17 through 33. To find out what helped Isaac to stop running. Hints, the answer is in Genesis 26, 24. After God told Isaac not to be afraid. afraid, Isaac stood up to his enemy. In the end, instead of fighting, they made an agreement to be at peace with each other. If anyone treats you the way Isaac was treated, talk to an adult friend about it. Be honest about how you feel. Pray and ask God to help you not to be afraid. Ask for ideas and how to make an argument to solve the problem. Let's live it.

Genesis 28, 10 through 22. What is importance? Make a list of the most important things you can ask God for when you pray. Now read Genesis 28, 10 through 22. Jacob wanted three things from God. You could find them in this passage. Jacob wanted God to be with them and to watch over him on his journey. To give him food.

to eat and clothes to wear and to return him safely to his father's house. God gave Jacob the important things he wanted and needed. Can you think of three really important things God has given you?

Thank him for these things when you pray. Let's live it. Genesis 32, 22 through 30. A new name. This Bible story tells how Jacob got the name Israel, which means he struggles with God.

Many Bible people have names that tell something about them. Abraham means Father of many, the Jewish people as well as their Arabs are descended from Abraham. Abraham was indeed the father of many. Suppose God lets you pick a name to tell what you are like. Here's a list of possible names. Obedient, smile, neat, patient, hardworking, contented, prayerful, helpful, cheerful, trustworthy, peace-loving, thoughtful, truthful, thankful, loving. Pick the one you want to describe yourself.

Just for fun. Ask your family to use the new name for a day or two To remind you of the kind of person you want to be Let's live it 37 1 through 11 Family favoritism Read Genesis 37 1 through 11 Jacob showed that he loved his son

Joseph The most by giving him a beautiful coat The story says that Joseph's brother's brother brothers hated him. Joseph didn't help the situation by being proud about his dream. Do you ever feel like your parents love one of your brothers or sisters more than they love you? Ask your parents have they ever felt that way when they were young. Read this Bible story aloud sometime and have your family talk about how Joseph and his father could have helped

the family feel closer and happier. Let's live it. Genesis 39, 1 through 23. When life isn't fair. Draw a cartoon strip story telling about a time when life wasn't fair to you. Have two of the pictures show what you did after you were treated unfairly. Life wasn't fair to Joseph either. His brother sold him to.

Let's live it. Genesis 50 through 21. Asking for forgiveness.

Can you think of a time when you did something wrong to someone? Have you ever said something unkind or done something mean to a friend or brother or sister? Have you ever hurt your parents or grandparents when you misbehave? Read Genesis 5015 through 21. If you have wronged someone, use Joseph's brother's plan. First write and send a letter asking that person to forgive you, then go to see him or her in person and ask for forgiveness. Joseph's brothers felt much better when they knew that Joseph had forgiven them.

You will feel better when you are forgiven too. Let's live it. Exodus 3, 1 through 12. Don't give up. Sarah was 10. All her friends used rollerblades. But when Sarah stood up on her new skates, she was afraid.

Instead of relaxing and enjoying herself, she stiffened her legs and moved ahead with jerky little steps. In frustration, Sarah finally stopped trying. I'm just no good, Sarah thought. I can't do it. Read Exodus 3.1.12. Exodus 311, Moses' words,

Who am I? Mean the same thing as Sarah's. I'm just no good. Read Exodus 312. If I find a five word, five word promised, that God gave Moses. How would remembering this promise

help Moses not give up? I might help Sarah or help you at times when you feel like giving up. Make a poster for your room. Draw a scene from this Bible story and print the five word promise on your poster. Let's live it. Exodus 5, 1 through 21.

When things go wrong, read Exodus 5 1 through 21. then answer these questions. 1. When Moses did what God said, did something good happen right away? 2. Whom did the Israelites blame when they were told to work harder? 3. How did Moses feel when he obeyed God and the troubles of the Israelite slaves were made worse? Sometimes things get worse before they get better. In the end, Moses led the Israelites to freedom.

Remember some things that have happened to you. Drawn up and downline to show ups happy times and downs unhappy times in your life. If you keep on doing what God says, as Moses did, where do you think your line will go in the end? Let's live it. Exxot 7, 14 through 24. Hard, heart, soft heart. A person with a hard heart is someone who will not do what God says. Read this story.

What do you think made Pharaoh's heart hard? On a warm, sunny day, take two small plastic bowls, Put a marshmallow in one bowl and the other bowl, put an ice cube. Put both bowls in the sun for one hour. What happened to the ice cube? What happened to the marshmallow? In this experiment, the hot sun is like God's word. The ice cube is like the heart of people who trust God.

The marshmallows like the heart of Pharaoh. Let the melted ice and the hardened marshals. remind you to keep your heart soft and obey God when you hear his word. Let's live it. Exxon 141 through 31. Sand and sea. Here's a fun game you can play at a birthday party or any other time. Mark off part of your yard to be sand, but make most of it see divided into two teams. One team in is Israelite and the other team is Egyptian. The Egyptians try to recapture the Israelites slaves before the whistle blows

and the sea covers them up. Follow these rules. One, everyone must walk. No one may run. Two, Disselaite scale of three second head start walking into the sea. Three, Egyptian.

must tag the Israelites in the sea to capture them and then walk them slowly back in the land. A captured Israelite brought back to the sand is out of the game. 4. At the beginning, decide how many seconds each player will last. Blow a whistle when that play is over. 5. An Egyptian caught in the sea when the West, when the whistle blows, has drowned and is out of the game. Israelites cannot be hurt by the water when the whistle blows.

The team that has it all has all its members, either captured or drowned, loses. After you play the game, talk about the story in Exodus 14-1 through 31. In that Bible story, how many Israelites were captured? How many Egyptian soldiers escaped drowning. God really does take care of his own. Let's live it. Exxed 1613 through 31. Daily bread.

Moses probably led about 2 million Israelites in the desert. God provided them with a special kind of food called mana. Read Exodus 1613 through 31. and answer these questions. 1. What happened when people took more mana than they could eat in one day? 2. What happened when they took extra on the 6th day? God could have given the Israelites enough mana on one day for the whole week. But God wanted his people to trust him every day and to be satisfied with each day's food.

Are you ready to trust God each day to supply everything? you need for just that one day. Try this for one week. Pray about one specific thing each day. A math test, a piano lesson, a safe ride on a field trip, or whatever. Don't worry about tomorrow. Keep track of how God answers these daily prayers.

Let's live it. Exhaust 20, 1 through 17. 10 commandments. God tells, God's 10 commandments tells us, shows us how to love God and other people. Here's a list of the commandments with an explanation of what each one means and how you can obey these commands each day. The commandment. How to show love to God. Meaning.

The commandment, meaning, and I obey it by. 1. Have no gods before me. Have no gods before me, meaning trust God only. I obey it by praying about my needs. 2. Have no idols. Meaning worship God only. I obey it by thanking and praising God. 3. Don't misuse God's name.

name, meaning use God's name respectfully. I obey it by not using God's name to swear. Four, keep the Sabbath holy, meaning rest and think about God. I obey it by paying attention in church. How to show love to people. Five, honor father and mother, meaning respect parents. I obey it by obeying my mom and dad. Six, do not murder, meaning protect human life. I obey it by helping others not to get hurt. Seven, do not commit adultery, meaning be true to a husband or wife. I obey it by keeping promises I make to others.

8. Do not steal meaning do not take what belongs to others I obey it by not taking things that are mine 9

do not give false testimony meaning don't lie about others I obey it by being truthful and not gossiping 10 do not covet it, meaning do not, don't want what others have.

I obey it by being satisfied with what I have. Let's live it. Exhaust 21, 28 through 36. Protect others. Read Exhaust 21, 28 through 36. Make it a model arc to remind you that our God is powerful and that he is with you.

Get a small box and cover it with gold paper. Cut out cardboard angels and cover them gold or cover them with gold paper. Then glue them to the top of the box. You can buy small sticks called dowels. At a hardware or hobby store, glue them to the side of your box. You could use straws too. Put the Marlark in your room has a reminder of God's presence.

Read, Leviticus 422 through 31. What does it say about unintentional sins? Unintentional means not done on purpose. Let's live it. Leviticus 6-1 through 7. What do you think you should do in each of the following situations? Oh, wait. Leviticus.

6.1 through 7. Finders, keepers. Have you ever heard the saying finders, keepers, losers, weepers? It means that if I find something you lost, too bad I get to keep it. And you just get to feel bad because you lost it. Now, read 11-2-6-1-7. What do you think you should do in each of the following situations? One, find a $5 bill in the last.

hall at school. Two, you borrow your friend's good ink pen and forget to return it. Three, you discover that the jacket you brought home from the game isn't yours. Where you suppose God thinks about finders keepers, loses weepers. Let's live it. Leviticus 26, 3 to 22. Rewards and punishments. Read, love it to kiss 26, 322. To find out what God told the Israelites about rewards and punishments,

God loved the Israelites and he loves you. He wants you to love and obey him. If you do, he will send rewards just as he promised the Israelites. But punishment is just as certain as you disobey. Make a list of all the rewards and all the punishments you can find in this part of Leviticus. Give yourself 10 points. for each reward or punishment. 200 points.

Doing good. 250 points. Super. Let's live it. Numbers 11, 1 through 9, 31 through 34. Be satisfied. Before you read the Bible story,

think about what God has given you. Counts or guess how many you have for each item on this list. Church are blouses, pants or jeans, pairs of socks, pairs of shoes, sweaters or sweatshirts, toys, books, markers or crayons, meals and snacks each day, TVs, CDs, or cassettes, video or computer games.

Thank God for all that you have. If your list shows that there is something you really need, then you can pray for it. Read numbers 11, 1 through 9, 31 through 34. The Israelites had everything they needed, but they still complained and wanted more. Do you have everything you need? Do you ever still grumble or complain? Let's live it. Numbers 14, 1 through 24.

Consequences. Read numbers 14, 1 through 24. God gave us people when they're not. they did not obey. God forgave his people when they did not obey. But those people had to live in the wilderness for 40 years until all the adults who would not obey had died. Being given, being forgiven means that the person we have wronged is not angry with us anymore. But we may still have to take the consequences for what we did. Read this story and decide what you think this dad should do.

Dad told Andy, don't bounce your ball off the side of the house. But later Andy felt bored. He tossed his ball toward the side of the house and hit a window. Crash. The ball went through the window. Andy, dad called. Come in here. What do you think Andy's dad to do?

Ground him. Forgive him and then ground him. Make Andy pay for the window. Forgive Andy and make him pay for the window. Just tell Andy, I forgive you. Tell your parents the story about Andy and then explain to them what you think Andy's dad should do and why. Let's live it. Numbers 22, 1 through 20, 24, 10 through 14.

Who was in control? Read this story about Balam. Belak, King of Malab wanted Belam to curse the Israelites so bad that bad things would happen to them. Then the Israelites would not be able to conquer Malab. But Balam could not curse the Israelites. He could only say what God told him to say. God, good things about the Israelites and their God. Does God control what they say?

At your next meal time, listen to what is said by each family member. Was it a good thing to say or not? Is God in control of what your family talks about? Let's live it. Numbers 31 through 5. Why can I do what I want? Dad. I told Allison I'd come over to her house.

Judy said when she came home from school. Is your homework done? Her dad asked. Judy shook her head. I'll do it later, she offered. No, he said. Call Allison and tell her you can't come over. Do you think it's fair for her dad to say no after Judy promised to go to Allison's house?

Read numbers 31 through 5. In Israel, a man was responsible for his whole family. Husbands could even say no to promises vows their wives or children have made to God. Today, parents are still responsible for children. So children can't do just anything they want to do because moms and dads are responsible. They have to say no at times. Here are some rules for both parents and kids about saying no. Talk them over with your parents.

Do you think the rules are fair? Listen to the child before saying no. Have a good reason for saying no. Tell the reason for saying no. Don't argue after the reason has been explained. Don't keep on asking after being told no. Let's live it Dear Taramie 6-1-9

The Israelites Bill and worship while God, while Moses was gone. Now read Deeratrami 9-7 through 21. Do you think God and Moses were angry? Some boys and girls do things when adults aren't watching that they would never do if adults were around. Do you know any kids who act that way? Talk about this Bible story with your mom or dad.

Ask how they would feel. if you did something bad behind their backs. Ask them to tell you the most important thing they want you to remember when they aren't with you. Let's live it. Der Tarami 1422 through 29. Giving to God. Read Deer Tarami 1422 through 29.

How much did God tell the Israelites to give to the Lord? How was the money you? Even kids can give to God. Find two boxes or jars for money. Label one giving. Label the other spending. When you earn money or get your allowance, put some in the giving jar. How much of what you get do you think you should put in the giving jar?

Ask the leader in your church how your gifts to the Lord could be used. Draw a picture showing one of the ways the money you give can be used. Tape it to your giving jar. Let's live it. Der Taramie 18, 9 through 13. Good movies. Some people like horror movies about demons or witches. In most of this time, in the land of canon, there were real witches.

Read Der Tarami 189 through 13 to see. what God said about them. Now talk over these questions. First with a friend, then with an adult. Is it all right to watch horror movies with pretend supernatural things in them?

What God wants us to watch things, he said is our evil, even if we don't plan to do such things ourselves. Why or why not? Let's live it. Dear Tarami,

34, through 8. When a loved one dies. Read Duritrami 34, 1 through 8. This passage tells us what happened when Moses died. The people of Israel cried. Moses had been such a wonderful leader. He had led them out of Egypt and slavery. He had seen God face to face.

He had done many wonderful things. It's okay to cry when someone you love dies. If they belong to God, you will see them again in heaven. But it's okay to miss them now. Talk with your parents about your sadness when someone dies. What were some things that made that person special to you? Do you remember something good about that person? What is it?

Let's live it. Joshua 2.1 through 21. Faith like Rahabs. Rahab was a woman who believed in the god of Israel, even though she lived in Jericho. Read to Joshua 2.1 through 21, Joshua 21, Joshua 21, tells of the red cord, Rahab, put in her window to order in order to save her own life and the life of her family. You can make a Rahab cord. take nine pieces of red yarn each about 18 inches long tie a knot at one end and divide the yarn into three groups with three strands of yarn in each group braid the strands together and tie the end or secure it with a rubber band

hang the cord inside your window every time you look at it let it remind you to be like rehab Rehab trusted God and was willing to help others you can too. Let's live it. Joshua 6.1 through 21. A dumb thing to do. When armies attacked walled cities, they pile dirt against the walls until they could climb over them. Read Joshua 6.1 through 15.

What are you supposed to people in Jericho thought when the Israelites just walked around their walls. Make up three things the people of Jericho might have yelled at the Israelites to tease or try to scare them. Now read Joshua 16 through 21. The Israelites did not know why they were told to march around the city, but they obeyed God in one. There are many things that grown-ups understand better than children is not dumb to obey your mom and dad, even if you don't always understand why they want you to do what they ask. Let's live it. Joshua 9, 1 through 18. Ask first. God had told Joshua to drive all the different

people who's out of the land of canon. But one group of people, the Ghibionites tricked Joshua and the Israelites read Joshua 9-1-18 to find out how. The Bible says the people of Israel did not inquire of the Lord. Joshua 914. This means they did not ask before they acted. When a person isn't sure about something, he or she should ask first. Here are some questions that you might want to ask before you act. May I use the stapler if I put it back?

when I'm done. Is it all right if I cut across your yard? What should I do with the money I found in the street? Can I read my library book if I get my math done early? Think up other questions you should ask before you go ahead and do something. Give yourself three points for each question you would think of. See how many points you can. earn in 10 minutes or play the game at the supper table with their whole family helping you think of things to ask about before

acting. Let's live it. Joshua 24, 14 through 27. Choosing to serve God. Read Joshua 24, 14 through 27. When Joshua was old, he called all the Israelites together.

What did he ask? asked them to do. Joshua then made this announcement. As for me in my household, we will serve the Lord. The special verse is Joshua 2415. Ask your mom or dad, when did you choose to serve the Lord? Why did you decide to serve him? After your mom or dad answers, here's another question to ask, why you want me to choose to serve God? Let's live it. 2, 6 through 23, a family history. If your parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts are Christians, make a history book to help you remember what God means to your family. Ask your parents to get you a picture album.

Then get pictures of your mom and dad. Your grandparents, aunts, and uncles and other relatives. Ask each relative to write you a letter about his or her life and what God has met. to him or her. Put the pictures and letters in the album. Then you will never forget what God has done for your own family. It is, it really is important to remember God. Read Judges 2 10 through 23 to see what happened when the young Israelites did not remember God. Let's live it. Judges 4-1-10 just for girls. The word judge in this book, of the Bible means leader or ruler.

Deborah was a prophetess who spoke on behalf of God. Deborah was a judge too who ruled the Israelites. The people counted on Deborah so much that General Barack the head of the family, the head of the army,

so he would not fight the enemy unless Deborah went with him. read Judges 4-1 through 10 to learn more about this important Bible woman. Women are important in the church today, too. their son. Christians often dedicate their children to the Lord too. May parents decide or baptize children when they are babies. Ask your parents if you were dedicated or baptized as a baby. Ask them why they did this and what promises they made at that time. An example of a dedication or baptism service may be printed in your church, him no. If so, read for yourself the special service. mom and dad may have had at your church for you when you were a baby. Let's live it. Judges 15, 1 through 17. Revenge.

If you are tempted to do something you know is wrong and you do what is right instead, you are stronger than Samson. Draw seven small pictures of an arm with muscles. Make each picture about the size of a stamp under the row of pictures right stronger than Samson. When you are tempted to do something wrong and you do what is right instead, tell your mom or dad what happened, cut out stronger than Samson's stamp, and ask them to tape it to that date on their calendar. Ask five of your neighborhood or school friends where they know the story. Read 1 Samuel 17 to make sure that you remember every part of this famous Bible story. There's a long chapter, but it is exciting to read. What is important about this story? David was able to face the giant because he trusted God. David was not afraid because he knew that God could help him defeat Israel's enemy. Let's live it. One Samuel 21 through 42.

David and Jonathan were special friends. Read 1 Samuel 21 through 42. Jonathan helped David a lot. Listen to his friend's problems and love David. And David treated Jonathan the same way. Make a picture for your room. Draw the three ways you can help your friends. Then write this Bible verse on your poster.

A friend loves that all times. Proverbs 1717. Page 717. Remember to be a good friend like Jonathan and David were. Let's live it. 1 Samuel 25, 1 through 19, 35 through 42. Special woman deserve praise. Abigail is a famous woman in the Bible.

Read 1 Samuel 25, 1 through 19, 35 through 42. How can you tell from this Bible story that she was both brave and wise? When David saw how special Abigail was, he did two things. He praised, thanked God, for one Samuel 2532 and he praised Abigail for a good judgment. One Samuel 2533. You can praise the woman you know just has David praised Abigail. Think about what makes each one special.

Thank God for them. Now choose one of the woman and write her a letter. And your letter, tell her why you think she is special. Let's live it. 2 Samuel 2 8 through 28. Avoid bitterness. The people of Israel were all descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So they were really family.

But they fought against each other. And this fighting led to bitterness or hard feelings. Do you fight with your brothers and sisters that happens even in Christian homes? Here are some rules to help you stop. fighting and avoid bitterness. Rule number one. Try to stop fighting. Walk away from each other when you are

attempted to fight. Rule two. If someone else refuses to stop, say please stop. Rule three. If after a fight ends, take some time alone to calm down and think about

the situation. Ask your mom or dad if they agree. with these rules. They write them on a poster and tape it on your refrigerator. Let's live it. 2 Samuel 6.1 through 11. Show respect for God. David wanted to bring the ark of God to Jerusalem.

This special box was the most holy object in Israel. This story tells something that happens that made David afraid and angry. Read 2 Samuel 6.1. through 11. Why was Uzah killed? God's law said that the ark was to be carried very

carefully on Polis and that no one could touch it. People had to show respect for God by doing exactly what God said, not by doing what they thought would be all right. Later, David had men carried the ark

to Jerusalem exactly the way God asks. The story of Uza reminds us to show respect for God, because God is very great. We show respect for God, as David finally did, by carefully obeying it. Let's live it. 2 Samuel 7.1 through 16. Loved forever. Read 2 Samuel 7.1 through 16.

Then memorize this part of 2 Samuel 715. My love will never be taken away from him. God loves us just that way. To remind you of God's kind of love, cut a strip of paper about one half inch wide and 11 inches long, twist the paper strip one time and tape the two ends together, then take a pen, start drawing a line on the inside of the strip. Keep turning the strip, but do not lift the pen from the paper.

You'll find you've made a line. on both sides of the strip without ever taking the pen off the paper. Keep this magic strip to remind you that God will never take his love away from you. That is because he was the son of David's best friend, Jonathan. Do you know any children who are disabled or who look different or act differently from most children? They need special kindness from you. You can talk to them and find ways to play with them or send in the card.

Let them know you are praying for them. Let's live it. 2 Samuel 12 1 through 14. Forgiveness from sin. Even people who love God as King David did commits sins. God forgives our sin, but it still has consequences. Read 2 Samuel 12. 1 through 14. Find one where David confesses his sin. Two, where David is forgiven.

Three, what happens because David sinned? David sinned but was forgiven. God will forgive sins of anyone who is sorry and asked to be forgiven. In this Bible story, a man named Shemai called King David bad names and even threw stones at him. Read 2 Samuel 16, 5 through 14, and decide whether these statements are true or false. One, David told his soldiers to kill Shemai. 2. David told his friends to pay no attention to Shemay. 3. David said that God would hear and repay. David would good for all the bad things Shemay had said. 4. David called Shemay names and chased them away. Now David will now decide what you will do next time someone calls you names.

through 51 as an example. Your praise poem could have five verses instead of 50. Have verse one of your poem praise God. Have verse 2 or 2 and 3 tell you about something God

does for you. Have verse 4 tell how you will praise God. Have verse 5 tell something else God does for you. Let's of it. One Kings 2, 1 through 4. Something to remember. When David grew old, he gave his son Solomon a charge. Charge means advice. David told Solomon the real, really important things he wanted to remember. Read 1, Kings 2, 1 through 4. Write down things David wanted Solomon to remember.

Ask your mom or dad to give you a charge, like David Gabe Solomon. So you will know what they want you to remember all your life. Let's live it. One Kings 3, 4 through 15. Four prayers God will answer. God hears all of our prayers, but God doesn't always answer yes. Read 1 Kings 3, 4 through 15. Find out what.

Solomon prayed for. Here are four prayers you can pray that are like Solomon's. Find the word or words below that best completes each prayer. God at school helped me to blank to be a good student. Pray about a friend's problem or suggest to your friend to pray about the problem. When God answers the prayer, it will help your friend know that God is real. In a small notebook, list the people or problems that you are praying for. When God answers your prayer,

write the date and the answer next to the prayer in your notebook. This will help you to remember to praise God. for answering your prayers. It will make you more and more sure that God is real. Let's live it. 1 King 17.1 through 6. God's care.

Sometimes God uses unusual ways to take care of those he loves. Read 1 King 171 through 6. How did God take care of Elijah? Usually God takes care of the children. through their parents. He gives their dads and slash her mom's a job. So there's money for what the family needs. But not always.

Sometimes God has the government help out a poor family. Sometimes one family can help out another family. There are many ways it could be used by God to help someone. If you have Christian magazines in your home, Look in them for advertisements. Ask readers to sponsor financially help poor children in foreign countries. Perhaps your town has a food pantry to which you could donate some canned foods. May you know a family in your church or town who could use the clothes or toys you have outgrown. Let's live it.

1 Kings 21, 1 through 29, wanting something too much. The last of the Ten Commandments is, you shall not covet. This means that we are not to want something that belongs to another person. In this Bible story, King of Hobb coveted a field of great vines that belonged to Naboth. Read 1, Kings 21, 1 through 29. and answer these questions about coveting. 1. How did coveting something make Ahab feel? 1. Make Ahab feel.

Here are some things you could do to stop coveting. List all the good things you have. Choose a favorite toy or a game to play with.

Invite a friend to play with you and share your favorite toy or game with your friend. When you thank God for all the good things you do have, the thing you wanted won't seem so important. Let's live it. Two Kings 5, 1 through 14. Telling the good news. Read in 2 Kings 5.1 through 14 about a girl who was probably about your age. She was a slave for the wife of Naman.

The army commander for the king of Aram. The commander had a terrible skin disease called leprosy. And the girl in the Bible story wanted to help him. She helped just by telling what she knew about God. Write down five important things you know about God. Show the list to your church school teacher or your mom or dad. Ask whether you have left out anything important. Then tell a friend what you know about God and Jesus.

Let's live it. Two Kings 7.3 through 11. Keep it to yourself. The arameans were camped all around the city of Samaria. They were not letting anyone or anything go in or out of the city. The people inside were starving. Read two kings 7.3 through 11 to find out what four men with leprosy did. Now read two kings 7.9 again.

Do you think Christians today sometimes do the same thing? Our good news is that Jesus died to save us from sin so we can go to heaven. People who don't believe in Jesus will not go to heaven. If you don't tell people about the good news, they may never hear it. Do you think God wants you to tell them? Let's live it. Two Kings 12, 1 through 12, a church building program. Josh became king when he was only seven years old.

Read two kings 12, 1 through 12, and find out what Jewish did to show he loved God. How did others who loved God help him? Sometimes churches need to be repaired. Many churches have building programs to build more rooms for church school or a bigger room for worship services. Here are some ways you could earn money to give. Just as the people gave to help. Jewish repair God's Temple. One, collect newspapers.

Two, collect soda pop cans and bottles and turn them in for money. Three, wash cars. Four, mow lawns. Break leaves or sweep of garage. Five, collect things for a garage sale. Six, bake, bacon, sell cookies and cakes. What will you do to earn money for your? your church. Let's live it. Two Kings 17.1 through 23. Punishment.

Talk how the people in Jerusalem must have felt as the enemy came nearer. Before you read any more of the story, think about other kids your age. Make a list of things kids are afraid of today. Now read two kings 191 through 9. What did King Hezekia do when he was? is afraid. To find out what happened next, read 2 Kings 1935 through 37. Pick out something on your list that many boys and girls are afraid of today.

Write to prayer, as Ezekia did, asking the Lord to protect you from the thing you fear. Let's live it. Two Kings 21 through 11. Pray when you are sick. Hezekia had prayed. when Jerusalem was going to be attacked by Assyria. See 2 Kings 18 through 19. God answered his prayer and saved the city.

So when Hezekia became sick and was about to die, he prayed again. Read two kings 21 through 11. Then draw a picture of Hezekia. Draw a large red boil somewhere on him. List of names in the Bible seem very boring, but the Hebrew people were proud of their ancestors. They kept careful records called genealogies. Listen to their grandparents and great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents and so on. Today we call genealogical records, family trees on a long strip of paper tablecloth. Draw your family tree. Ask your mom or dad to help you get pictures of each person.

Take the pictures to your family tree. Beside each person's name. Write one interesting fact about him or her. Then decide with your parents on the title of your family tree. Maybe your title will be hard workers or Michigan farmers or people helpers or praying Christians. Choose a title that says something about your family. Let's live it. One Chronicle is 11, 10 through 25.

Pick out songs you sing at church or church school. Pick some that are new to you as well as those that are your favorites. Then at supper time or bedtime sing one or two of the songs together. Soon you will know the songs better and be able to worship God more joyfully. Let's live it.

One Chronicle is 27, 25 through 34. Try a job chart. One Chronicle is 27, 25 through 34. It's a list of jobs David gave the men who helped him rule Israel. The list is a job chart. It names David's helpers and tells his job each one had. Which job would you have wanted? Would you have killed Hushai's job?

One Chronicle is 2733. Make a family job chart by writing down the different jobs that have to be done. Take out garbage, put away dishes, sweep the porch, fold clothes, and so on. Then make a chart listing the name of each family member beside each name, writing the jobs that person will do. Once every two weeks, switch jobs. The job chart will tell how every member of the family, only helps.

This has this Bible passage tells the jobs are David's helpers. Let's live it. One Chronicles 28, 11 through 19. Organize your work. Read one Chronicles 28, 11 through 19. What plans did David make for building God's temple? It is always wise to plan work. Try playing ahead how you will pick up your room.

Have you ever been laughed at for something you believe? How do you feel? What is the best thing to do when someone laughs at our faith in God? When will the people who make fun of God stop laughing? Let's live it. Ezra 1-11. Leaving home. The Jews had been in Babylon for 60 years. Most had never seen the land their parents and grandparents had come from. They had homes in Babylon. Some, most of the Jews decided to stay in Babylon and not move to Judah. Read Ezra 1-1-11. Why did some of the Jews want to go back to Judah? Pretend that you are one of the Jewish families in Babylon. Your father asked,

do you want to move to Judah? What will you tell him? Write down reasons not to move. Write down reasons you shouldn't move. If your own family really does move, here are some things to do to make the change easier. So most of the Jews decided to stand in Babylon and not move to Judah.

Read Ezra 1 through 11. Where did some of the Jews want to go back to Judah? Pretend that you are in one of the Jewish families in Babylon. Your father asks, do you want to move to Judah? What will you tell them? Write down reasons not to move. Write down reasons you should move. If your own family really does move, here are some things to do to make the change easier.

Find out about the new area before you leave. What is special about it? Draw pictures of how you would like to decorate your new room. Get together for a moving party with your friends before you leave. Get their addresses so you can write. Take a vacation on your drive to your new home. Look at maps to see what would be fun to do along the way and begin praying that you will find a special new friend

when you arrive at your new home. Let's live it. Ezra 3-1-6. Celebration. Read Ezra 3-1-6. The Feast of Tabernacles was a holiday for the Israelites. The word tabernacle means tents or outdoor shelters. The Israelites who had returned all came to Jerusalem

to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. Leviticus 2333 through 44. page 1 through 40 tells us that the Israelites lived in these tents for seven days each year to help them remember how their ancestors had lived when God had brought them out of Egypt. Also, the verses in Levitticus told them that this was a holiday to celebrate. What comes to your mind when you think of a celebration? Your family could have a one-day feast of tabernacles, put up a tent in your yard, and live in it for, one day. Think of how God has taken care of your family giving

you a home to live in. It would be like a small vacation, so celebrate. Let's live it. Ezra 6, 13 through 18. Dedicated to God. To dedicate here means to promise to use the temple

to worship God and serve them there. Read about the dedication service in Ezra 6, 13 through 18. Here are some ways you can learn about dedicating things to God. One, if people dedicate babies at your church, listen carefully. What do the mom and dad promise? What does the congregation promise?

What does the minister say in his prayer? Two, listen carefully to the prayer of dedication when the church offering is received in the worship service. Three, think about the things you have. Is there anything you would like to dedicate to God? For instance, you might dedicate your school books to God. Pray and tell God that you will stay hard so you can be ready to serve them when you grow up. Let's live it.

Nehemia 2.1 through 5. In Bible times, some kings would kill anyone who made them feel upset. Read Nehemia 2.1 through 5. Why was Nehemia afraid? What did Nehemia do when the king asked why he looked sad? We don't know what Nehemia prayed, but it must have been a fast silent prayer because Nehemia answered the king's question right away. Can you think of times boys and girls might want to say fast silent prayers?

You might pray God. help me remember what I studied just before you take a test or you might quickly ask for safety when you have to walk to the bus stop on an icy sidewalk. Think of at least five situations and write down a fast prayer for each. It is good to know that God listens to fast silent prayers as well as two long ones. Let's live it. Now have me up 4-1-3-23, ready to fight. Read this story with your parents. I'm going to get you after school, Tim threatened.

Tim was better than Bruce, and Bruce didn't want to fight him, so Bruce took a different way home from school. The next day, Tim warned, You can't hide from me again. The afternoon, Bruce, the afternoon Bruce went, out in front of the school. He asked a friend to hold his books.

Jeff paid Matt $5.5. Matt was laughing because he had gotten that toy at a garage sale for $2.2. Was Matt just being a good businessman? Was Matt fair to Jeff? What if Jeff were to find out how much did toy cost Matt? what if Jeff never found out read Nehemia 5 1 through 12

how were some people in Judah unfair to poor people What did Nehemia say about this? What do you tell the rich to do? Jesus said Do to others what you would have done have them do to you Matthew 712

page 159 If Matt were to use this rule What would he do for Jeff. Can you think of times when you can use Jesus rule and not take advantage of others? Let's live it. Nahemiah 10, 28 through 39. A do good plan. The people of Jerusalem, the people of Judah had confessed their sins. Nehemia 9. Then they did something else. They promised God that they would do better and even put their promises in writing. Nehemia 938.

To find out what the people of Judah promised God they would do, read Nehemia 10, 28 through 39. When we sin, it is important to tell God we are sorry. It is also important to plan how to do good in the future. You can plan ahead to please God. Get a sheet, a notebook paper, write down one thing you would do to please God this week. Write your due good plan as a letter to God

begin as the people in Nehemia's time did by writing, I promise. Let's live it. Nehemia 13, 10 through 22. Remember me, God. In Nehemia, 13, 10, through 22. Nehemia recalled some of the good things that he had done. He asked God to remember him

for his good word. because he was trying to please God and help his people. God was pleased when he saw Nehemia doing good deeds. And he pleased when he sees you doing good things too. Write down on a piece of paper some of the good things that you've done. Show your list to your parents. Ask if there is anything they can think of for you to add to your list.
