Welcome to Positiveity Successor episode 4.51.
Continue now with peace on in the Bible.
Let's get into it.
Peace Psalm 10.
Why, oh Lord, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide?
hide yourself in times of trouble.
In this arrogance, the wicked man hunts down the weak,
who are caught in the schemes he devises.
He boasts of the cravings of his heart.
He blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.
And his pride, the wicked does not seek him.
In all his thoughts, there is no room for God.
His ways are always preposterous.
preposterous. He is haughty and your laws are far from him. He sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself,
Nothing will shake me. I'll always be happy and never have trouble. His mouth is full of curses and lies and threats.
Trouble and evil are under his tongue. He lies in wait near the villages. From ambush, he murders
the innocent watching in secret for his victims. He lies in wait like a lion in cover. He lies in wait
to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless and drags them off in his net. His victims are
crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength. He says to himself, God has forgotten. He
covers his face and never sees. Arise, Lord, lift up your hand, oh God. Do not forget the helpless.
Why does the wicked man revile, God? Why does he say to himself, he won't call me to account,
but you, oh God, do you see trouble and grief? You consider it to take it in hand. The victim
commits himself to you.
You are the helper of the fatherless.
Break the arm of the wicked and evil man.
Call him to account for his wickedness.
That would not be found out.
The Lord is king forever and ever.
The nations will perish from his land.
You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted.
You encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
Defending the fatherless and the oppressed.
In order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.
Peace, Psalm 11.
From the director of music of David.
In the Lord, I take refuge.
How then can you say to me, flee like a bird to your mountain.
For look, the wicked bend to their bows.
they set their bows
they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
at the upright and heart
when the foundations are being destroyed
what can the righteous do
the Lord is in his holy temple
the Lord is on his heavenly throne
he observes the sons of men
his eyes examine them
the Lord examines the right
but the wicked and those who love violence.
His soul hates on the wicked he will reign.
Fiery coals and burning sulfur.
A scorching wind will be their lot.
For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice.
Upright men will see his face.
Peace on 12.
For the director of music according to Shemineth,
A peace on with David
Help Lord
For the godly art no more
The faithful have vanished
From among them
Everyone lies to his neighbor
Their flattering lips speak with deception
May the
Lord cut off
All flattering lips
In every boastful tongue
That says
We will triumph with our tongue
We own our lips, who is our master.
Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy,
I will now arise, says the Lord.
I will protect them from those who malign them.
And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in the furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
Lord, you will keep us safe.
and protect us from such people forever.
The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.
Peace Psalm 13 for the director of David,
director of music of Peace Psalm of David.
How long, oh Lord, will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Look on me and answer, O Lord, my God, give light to my eyes or I will sleep in death.
My enemy will say I have overcome him and my fellows will rejoice when I fall.
But I trust in your unfailing love.
My heart rejoices in your own failing love.
heart rejoices in your salvation. I was saying to the Lord, for he has been good to me.
Peace, Psalm 14. For the director of music of David, the fool says in his heart, there is no God.
They are corrupt. Their deeds are vile. There is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are
are any who understand.
Any who seek God,
all have turned aside.
They have together become corrupt.
There is no one who does good,
not even one.
Will evil doers never learn?
Those who devour my people as men eat bread,
and who do not call on the Lord.
There they are,
overwhelmed with dread.
For God is present in the company of the
righteous. You evil doers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.
All that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion. When the Lord restores the fortunes of
his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad. Words to treasure. I will sing to the Lord,
for he has been good to me. Peace Psalm 136.
Peace Psalm 15
A peace on
David
Lord
Who may dwell in your sanctuary
Who may live on your
Holy Hill
He who walk
Whose walk is
Blameless
And who does
What is righteous
Who speaks the truth from his heart
It has no slander on his tongue
Who does
His neighbor
No wrong
and casts no slur on his fellow men.
Man, who despises a vile man,
but honors those who fear the Lord,
who keeps his oath, even when it hurts,
who lends his money without usury,
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken.
Peace on 16.
I'm MacTam of David.
Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I said to the Lord, you are my Lord.
Apart from you, I have no good thing.
As for the saints who are in the land,
they are the glorious ones,
and whom is all my delight.
The sorrows of those will increase
who run after all other gods.
I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.
Lord, you have assigned me my portion in my cup.
You have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.
Surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the love.
Lord who counsels me. Even that night my heart instructs me. I upset the Lord, but always before me,
because he is at my right hand. I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my tongue
rejoices. My body also will rest secure because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your holy one see decay.
You have made known to me the path of life.
You will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Peace Psalm 17.
A prayer of David.
Hear, O Lord, my righteous plea,
listen to my cry, give ear to my prayer.
It does not run.
rise from my disciple lips.
May my vindication
come from you.
May your eyes see what is right.
Those you probe
my heart examine me
at night. Those you test
me, you will find nothing.
I've resolved
that my mouth
will not sin.
As for the deeds of men
by the words of your lips,
I've kept myself
from the ways of the violence.
My steps have held to your paths.
My feet have not slipped.
I call on you, oh God, for you will answer me.
Give ear to me and hear my prayer.
Show the wonder of your great love.
You who saved by your right hand,
those who take refuge in you from their foes.
Keep me as the apple of your eye.
Hide me in the shadow of your wings.
from the wicked who assail me
From my immortal enemies who surround me
They close up their callous hearts
And their mouths speak with arrogance
They have tracked me down
They now surround me
With eyes alert
To throw me to the ground
They are like a lion hungry for prey
Like a great lion crouching in cover
Rise up, O Lord
Confront them, bring them down
but rescue me from the wicked by your own sword by your sword lord be your hand save me from such men from men of this world whose reward is in this life you still have you still the hunger of those you cherish their sons have plenty and they store up wealth for their children and i
and righteousness
I will see your face
when I awake
I will be satisfied with
seeing your likeness
Psalm 18
For the director of music
of David the servant of the Lord
He sang to the Lord
The words of the song
When the Lord
delivered him from the hand
Of all his enemies
And from the hand of Saul
He said
I love you
O Lord, my strength
strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation my stronghold. I call to the Lord who is worthy of
praise, and I say I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death entangled me. The torrents of
destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave.
coiled around me.
The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress, I called to the Lord.
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple, he heard my voice.
My cry came before him into his ears.
The earth trembled and quaked,
and the foundations on the mountains shook.
They trembled because he was angry.
smoke rose from his nostrils consuming fire came from his mouth burning colds blazed out of it he parted the heavens and came down dark clouds were under his feet he mounted the cherubum and flew
he sawed on the wings of the wind he made darkness his covering his canopy around him the dark rain clouds of the sky out of the brightness
of his presence clouds advanced
With hail storms and bolts of lightning
The Lord thundered from heaven
The voice of the most high resounded
He shot his arrows and scattered
The enemies
Great bolts of lightning and routed them
The valleys of the sea were exposed
In the foundations of the earth
Laid bare
At your rebuke
O Lord, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
He reached down on high, from on high and took hold of me.
He drew me out of deep waters.
He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
for my foes who are too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my disaster.
But the Lord was my support.
He brought me out into a spacious place.
He rescued me because he delighted in me
The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness
According to the cleanness of my hands
He has rewarded me
For I've kept the ways of the Lord
I'm not done evil by turning from my God
All his laws are before me
I'm not turned away from his decrees
I've been blameless before him
and I've catched myself from sin.
The Lord has rewarded me
according to my righteousness,
according to the cleanliness
of my hands in his sight.
To the faithful you show yourself
faithful, to the blameless,
you show yourself
blameless.
To the pure, you show yourself pure.
But to the crook,
but to the crooked,
you show yourself shrewd.
You say,
the humble but bring loath those whose eyes are haughty you o lord keep my lamp burning my god turns my darkness into light with your help i can advance against a troop with my god i can scale a wall
as for god his way is perfect the word of the lord is flawless he is a shield for all who take refuge
in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the rock except our God? It is God who arms me with
strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer. He enables me to stand
on the heights. He trains my hands for battle. My arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your
shield of victory and your right hand sustains me. You stooped down to make me great. You brought in the path
beneath me so that my ankles do not turn. I pursued my enemies and overtook them. I did not turn back
till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise. They fell beneath my feet.
You armed me with strength for battle
You made my adversaries bow at my feet
You made my enemies turn their backs in flight
And I destroyed my foes
They cried for help but there was no one to save them
To the Lord but he did not answer
I beat them as fine as dust borne on the wind
I poured them out like mud in the streets
you have delivered me from the attacks of the people
you have made me the head of nations
people
I did not know
are subject to me
as soon as they hear me
they obey me
foreigners cringe before me
they all lose heart
they come trembling from their strongholds
the Lord lives
praise be to my rock
Exalted be God my Savior
He is the God who avenges me
Who subdues nations under me
Who saves me from my enemies
You exalted me from my
Above my foes
From violent men you rescued me
Therefore I will praise you among the nations
O Lord I will sing praises to your name
He gives his king
Great victories
He shows unfailing kindness to his anointed
To David in his descendants forever
Psalm 19
From the director of music
A peace psalm of David
The heavens declare the glory of God
The skies proclaim the work of his hands
Day after day they pour forth speech
Night after night they display knowledge
There is no speech or language
There is no speech or language
Where their voice is not heard
Their voice goes out
Into all the earth
Their words
To the ends of the world
And the heavens
He has pitched a tent for the sun
Which is like a bridegroom
Coming forth from his pavilion
Like a champion
rejoicing to run his course
It rises at one end of the heavens
It makes its circuit to the other
Nothing is hidden from its heat
The law of the Lord is perfect
Reviving the soul
The statues of the Lord are trustworthy
Making wise
The simple
Percepts of the Lord
Are right
Giving joy to the heart
The commands of the Lord are radiant
Giving not light to the eye
the fear of the Lord is pure
enduring forever
the ordinances of the Lord are sure
and altogether righteous
they are more precious
than gold than much pure gold
they are sweeter than honey
than honey from the comb
by them
is your servant
warned servants warned
and keeping them
there is great reward.
Who can discern
his errors? Forgive my
hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from
woeful sins.
May they not rule over me,
then will I be
blameless?
Innocent of great
transgression.
May the words of my mouth
and the mediation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight.
O Lord, my rock
and my redeemer.
So that's where we're going to stop.
We'll pick back up with
Peace Psalm 20.
Words to treasure.
The heavens declare the glory of God.
The skies proclaim
the work of his hands.
Peace Psalm 191.
