Welcome to positivity successor, episode 96. Today's episode we'll be talking about is physical health awareness. So let's get into it. physical health awareness start off with the Bible verse
Starting point is 00:00:36 Romans 12 1 therefore I urge you brothers and sisters in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to God this is your time is your true and proper worship You see to improve the physical health is to exercise healthy diet, getting up sleep, managing stress, avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, regular medical checkups, gradual charges, changes,
Starting point is 00:01:31 seeking professional help like healthcare or seeking a registered dietitian for guidance. You see, physical health awareness is what helps keep our body and ourselves in check. You see, we care for our body every single day. You see, part of the verse It talks about Offer your bodies has a living sacrifice Holy and pleasing To God
Starting point is 00:02:12 This is your true And proper worship You see We take our We take care of our body And that's a sacrifice And A true
Starting point is 00:02:35 and proper worship, like you worship our body by by doing the exercising, the healthy diet, the gain in up sleep, the managing of stress, avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol
Starting point is 00:02:53 consumption. I don't do that. I don't condone that because there's been warning, labels on the on everything in that in those matters from the beginning alcohol, drugs, smoking, all that stuff, vaping. In that category, all those things have warning labels on them. And that's why I don't do them. You see, how long has you're responsible and you, you,
Starting point is 00:03:41 you are watching out for yourself. I commend you for that, but can't be immature or irresponsible about what we're consuming and putting into our bodies. Regular medical checkups, got an episode coming up about medicine is important. And you see, getting checkups, is important.
Starting point is 00:04:23 From all of our doctor appointments, the doctor gives us homework that we, it's like school, like, compare going to the doctor's office to school, but you're doing the homework physically instead of mentally writing it down on paper. You also can write your homework down on paper and do it as, has, as you look at what you're doing physically because your body is your homework. Everything you take care of in your body is your homework. And when you turn in your homework to the doctor appointments every time you go, it is a checkup to see what a,
Starting point is 00:05:21 What new assignments the doctor can give you for the next time? You see, we have these daily routines and everything when you do. We go to sleep, you wake up, eat breakfast throughout the week, like Monday through Friday, or if there's additional weekends, we have jobs we go to. individually every single day. And just life in general, we all do things every single day in like a groundhog day.
Starting point is 00:06:08 But like these routines you've been doing for quite a long time. And you keep sticking to those routines because they're part of daily life. Gradual changes. Like, there's some things you're doing that you may not like
Starting point is 00:06:39 or something that's telling you not to keep doing it. Like, we all have, go through habits, right? The bad habits are most common. and what we try to do is get off the bad habits and try continuing the good habits we do. And it's not easy to get into a habit of things. You guys start off with that thing and try to get used to it for a while. And then once we keep doing it after a while, you'll start to notice that it becomes part of your, routines that you do every single day of your life. Exercise. Like going to the gym or doing some walks around
Starting point is 00:07:40 the neighborhood or staying physically active. Like in school they prepared us with physical education for the real world when we go into, like in school, we had physical education, a health fitness center, all those stuff. And all the PE teachers that taught us stuff, all those stuff in school is to prepare us because we use physical education in the real world. We, the school exercises are pre-warm, we're pre-warmups for working out in the real world has adults, like going to these different fitness places or even outside working out at a fitness place.
Starting point is 00:08:48 that's in broad daylight in the sand or on the sidewalk. Like, for instance, like Los Angeles, that's a popular one that has some outside, outside workout gyms and in the middle of everyone. healthy diet. Healthy diets are not easy to get into, but there is out there the My Food Plate that
Starting point is 00:09:33 myfoodplate.com dot org.gov that you can look at with protein, dairy, fruit, veggies, veggies, and grains that you want to look at so you know what you want to eat healthier for every meal. Can you end up sleep?
Starting point is 00:10:01 And maximum people should be getting about eight hours of sleep. But sometimes we all, in life, we all have different sleeping schedules depending on whether we got to be at work early or going somewhere early. etc. Seeking professional help, like, uh, healthcare or seeking a registered dietitian for guidance. Like, if you feel something is wrong with you or you feel like something's hurting really bad, like a pounding in your stomach or butterflies in your stomach or you got a frog in your throat or something like that.
Starting point is 00:10:56 always good to get healthcare to see how you're doing or if you if you can't visualize what what is healthy to see a registered dietitian for guidance and knowing what is good to eat and all that stuff including the fitness side side side so I hope everyone everyone enjoyed this episode of positivity successor.
