QAA Podcast - Everything is AI (Premium E353) Sample

Episode Date: September 13, 2026

As we head into pumpkin spice season and the leaves begin to fall, so too does Jake’s brain - falling - nay - plummeting deep deep down into the AI slop latrine where his senses are assaulted from a...ll sides as he claws at the crumbling walls of his reality. The harder he tries the more he breaks through into a world of falling green code and wireframes. Suddenly he realizes…everything is AI. In a proper rant episode, Jake and Liv break down the most egregious uses of AI that have been forced upon us from nearly every angle of our lives. From our movies, phones, and productivity to mathematics and the end of the world. Suspiciously, Julian listens on as the voice of reason while Jake preaches from his knees. Folks, you know things are dire when Julian is the calmest host on the pod. Starting point is 00:00:02 You found a way to, welcome to the QAA podcast Premium Episode 353. Everything is A-I. Everything is A-I. As always, we are your host, Jake Rakitansky. Liv Egar. And Julian Field, who is apparently here to provide emotional support to two highly distressed individuals. When we've called in Julian to be the stable one, amongst us too. You know that
Starting point is 00:01:06 Liv and I are in some serious trouble. Not good folks. I'm glad. I guess I've been maddening myself mostly about video game garbage online, so really this is going to be a nice break. What video game garbage have you been maddening yourself about? I do not know. Maybe we share the same garbage. Maybe our garbage smells the same.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Jolita is trying to hold it in so well that having to like recount it on a podcast. I'm just kidding. Twitter has. has decided that I'm a gamer, I think. And so I get to see every fucking little controversy and whining campaign and debate over scores and bullshit like that. You get to see opinions from grums.
Starting point is 00:01:51 That's how I imagine that guy sounds. I logged back onto Twitter recently for the first time in a while, and it's decided that the thing that I want to see is like, here's this Nazi pedophile being evil. So I don't know what that means about what it thinks. It's one. It's hard to even show much when you're referring to. On Twitter, that's like a third of the user base, I think, at this point.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Spinning the, like, Nazi pedophile fucking giant wheel that just has every account there. It's motor powered. It never ends. Everything on Twitter's just trying to convince me that AI is cool. I just have, like, a hundred, like, bot-like blue chat guys, like, Andrew Yang-style guys that, like, they don't seem to be, like, overtly right-wing. But, like, they're, oh, God, they're just constantly telling me that how AI is, like, curing cancer and that it's, it's like, it's solving this. And, like, people aren't ready for AGI and aren't ready for it to not be a bubble.
Starting point is 00:02:49 I'm on Twitter purely to judge women's bodies and partake in the great debate of thirst traps. Corey just pulled his, at his collar, like a cartoon character, as Julian said that, wondering maybe if it was going to be. going to have to be something cut later. No, it doesn't need to be cut. It's obviously not true, but I do see a lot of that awful discourse there. No, Chilings on Twitter calling women, beautiful women mid. That's all steering. No, I'm doing purely, I'm falling headfirst into the thirst trap.
Starting point is 00:03:22 I'm purely simping in the comments. I'm doing reply guy stuff. I mean, that's, that's, that's not harmful to you, you know, to you. I'm not doing that either, Jake. No, I know, obviously. I'm going to have to stop lying. Every time I lie, Jake is like, well, that's an uncomfortable moment. Yeah, I just, I take everybody at their word.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I just, I'm, I think I myself am so traumatized from being distrusted, you know, so that I overcompensate and just assume everybody's, you know, being 100% up front all the time. There's this guy that's super honest called Claude, and he keeps telling me true stuff. Yeah, what's he saying? He's telling me all kinds of nice stuff. I'm speaking as you, Jake. You're supposed to continue the joke and address Claude, who you believe. Claude is telling him that AGI is going to be reached by 2027.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Of course. It'll be the end of history. I'm going to kill everyone, says Claude. People thought, like, naming the evil AI Hal in 2001. Like, that's kind of funny, you know, that it's this like supremely evil sort of like bot intelligence. but it has this kind of friendly name. And now in our reality, not in the movie, they're saying it's Claude.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Who would have thought? Claude. I want the alien franchise mother. I want to call my computer mother. Yes, mother, yeah. Just be a little bit more psychically honest about what we're doing here. Yeah, I want my computer to be on the mother toilet.
Starting point is 00:04:52 ChatGBTBT might not let you call it mother, but I think GROC will. Jake knows this. Jake knows exactly which AI is will. let you call them mommy. Jake has been a very good boy. I didn't even mean it to sound like that. Jake has been domed by every AI model to test it for us.
Starting point is 00:05:11 You know, we asked him. After I die, they reveal that AI has been trained on one person and one person's search habits, and it's me. I'm like the Truman show, but like it's not revealed till like long after I'm dead. That would be just my luck. I've got painters at my house, by the way, so I'm going to be navigating around a couple knocks here and there. It's not too bad, though, so it'll be fine. That's awesome. Telling you guys right now up front, this is going to be a conversational rant episode.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I've had painters outside my house sanding at 7 a.m. There they are. Which they have to, because the heat has also been unbearable. Los Angeles essentially has the climate of a tropical rainforest right now, and I've woken up on the wrong side of the bed for a week straight. Oh, you're damp, you're damp, aren't you? I'm so, I'm so damp. And it's good. that Travis ducked out of this one, I think. It got too hot for him, too humid. Mm-hmm. I broke my phone.
Starting point is 00:06:07 I had to get a new phone, and if I'm being honest, I'm spending way too much time on X. I go in looking for patch notes, and instead I close the app in horror after seeing Charlie Kirk's assassination from three different angles. I don't know if any of you experienced that.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Oh, yeah, it was the Kirkroversary. No, Kirkroversary didn't yield any actual replays of that for me. I will say that I just don't care. People need to shut up. I get that there's no culture in this country and that we need stuff. So Kirkaversary and 9-11 and, you know, but I'm a little exhausted by it all. And I don't think it's funny. But not for the reasons that people defending Charlie Kirk don't think it's funny.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Just because I'm tired, folks. It's like we're not even in the cave anymore. We're in like a level below the cave where someone else is describing the shapes to us. It's like, remember that shape that happened a year ago? And it sounds like the loudspeaker at a fucking air. airport or just someone stuck under well a nice layer of granite what's below the caves i mean that's like the that's like the lava yeah yeah we're digging straight down right into lava the world works like bindcraft yeah yeah yeah yeah there's some kind of nether nether realm right there is sure yeah
Starting point is 00:07:19 yeah the tall black weird figures they're coming for you mm-hmm donald trump's got the diamond sword right sure uh no he doesn't i took it away from him i disliked harmed him because he was being a Cheeto. Hold on one sec, you guys. They're sanding. I'm going to sand his little nuts off. Keep that in. Keep that.
Starting point is 00:07:45 You guys want a coffee or anything? That's what he's doing right now. And he's wearing a little maids outfit. She loves blue collar workers. It's only a maids outfit. There's like, I'm sorry. X is really an unsettling app.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I also think they're boosting my engagement lately to try and kind of like get me to bite on premium, which ain't happening, by the way. I'm more likely to uninstall that shit and never look back. I think they're just like at this point, likes are based on purely nothing. Like it's a completely fake metric that's like, you know, 5X inflated so that Elon can pretend that people still use that website. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I say this over and over again, but I really, there's really like nothing for me there. I wish there were better. I guess I can join Discords for Patch Notes or join Reddit discussions maybe. I mean, I'm really there for Patch Notes mostly, but I get distracted by snuff. That's what it is. It mostly wants to show me on my 4U pages, just snuff. Absolutely all. As it, mm-hmm, I agree, that's what they're showing you.
