PURGY POS-E-U-H-O-O-O-O-O-W-O-O-O-W.
If you're hearing this, well done.
You found a way to connect to the internet.
Welcome to the QAA podcast, Premium Episode 248, Flynn, The Movie.
As always, we're your host, Jake Rockatansky.
Cliff Acre.
Julian Field.
And Travis View.
Folks, we did it.
We watched the best documentary ever made.
We broke through the gatekeeper, Travis, who had ordered the DVD of Flynn, the movie.
a documentary that appears to be made by the Flynn crew basically, but it's such a high quality
that I am absolutely astonished. I'm pretty sure Tucker lent a little bit of his production
credos to this, but folks, we watched it. We watched all two hours, and I believe like nine
minutes of it. It's a big movie. We are here to tell you about a beautiful surfer, a beautiful
innocent man, a hero, an American hero who was taken out in his prime for getting too close to
dismantling the deep state, possibly the closest person to a Kennedy since the Kennedy
assassination took out the main guy, a Democrat, a Kennedy Democrat in his own words,
and a four-star, is he four-star, four-star general, Michael Flynn, our hero, and the movie in which
I found out that Michael Flynn's son, Michael Flynn Jr.'s son, is called Travis. And that's probably
why Travis View wanted to keep us away from this, because there are multiple moments in this movie
where Mike Flynn tears up calling his grandson Little Peanut.
Travis, you know, Little Peanut, my Little Peanut, Travis. He was just born.
If you think I will not be calling Travis Little Peanut for this entire beautiful recording.
Oh, no, no, no. I just saw Travis's eyebrows go to the moon. Uh-uh, Julian, I'm going to stop you
right there. Little Peanut was only six.
little peanut just and just for the record he was a he was a three-star general didn't get that
fourth one when Travis is stressed out he starts fact-checking yeah he starts he's very stressed
out because this is folks we're here to tell you this is an extremely compelling movie unfortunately
and it is possible that we are Jake and I are have regressed to very early podcast days
we may be pilled again although I did I did definitely like lose attention like at some point in
middle because there's too many fucking people. It's very boring. It's very boring, but somehow compelling. I don't know how to explain it other than that. It's the most boring, most compelling, bad, but good documentary. Because essentially, the entire movie is just Flynn talking to the camera. Like, there's little clips and stock footage and stuff like in between and a handful of other videos. But most of the movie and the entire story is just Michael Flynn in like a kind of like a draft room.
talking to camera basically telling his story.
Yeah, so we're going to jump right in here.
What I want to know, because Travis actually bought, like, the DVD set.
Was there any, like, extra content you got?
Was there, like, a little pamphlet or whatever that explained the situation?
As a matter of fact, I didn't watch it, but it did boast bonus extended interviews
with Tucker Carlson, Devin Nunes, and Michael Flynn, which I did not watch because, you know,
two hours and change worth of content about Michael Flynn in this format was enough for me.
I didn't need to dive any deeper.
I didn't feel like.
Did anyone notice there was one guy in the movie and I did not catch his name,
but there's one guy who seems to have possibly before they were taken out of circulation
built the biggest stash of Norcos on earth and he's just on one.
He's just high as shit.
He can barely open his eyes and he's just kind of muttering.
Oh, Lee Davis or something Lee.
He's some journalist or reporter.
Yeah, he's got like the cool shaved.
He's got like kind of like the, um, everybody's got a collateral haircut in the movie, oddly enough.
It's very interesting.
I noted that.
Before I texted Julian that I said, damn, I think I'm pilled again.
I talked about how all the Flynn brothers have such good hair, WTF.
Well, I mean, since we're bringing up messages, Jake, I think you shouldn't leave out my favorite
message that you sent us about this movie.
What did I say?
Uh-oh.
Let me see.
If he gently put his hand in my shoulder and asked, I would follow those orders.
Mr. Flynn, if you find a way to put your hand in a shoulder.
Because we were saying, you were saying Flynn wants you to be nicotine-free.
And yes, I have, I quit nicotine.
I've quit nicotine all together.
I wasn't smoking, but I was doing nicotine in other ways, Mom.
And I've quit now.
And it's tough.
I'm not going to lie.
You're just using this podcast to dialogue directly with your mother?
Well, she's got a lot going on right now, you know?
It's a good way to, I know she listens.
It's a good way to reach.
All right.
Well, it's us.
And we have Liv, who has bravely cut clips for us.
We are very grateful for this because the person who originally should have potentially
been running this episode, one little peanut, just got the DVD washed it and was like,
ah, nah.
Honestly, fair no.
Travis, were you now on this because it wasn't like particularly melted?
It was kind of tame and kind of boring and actually made Flynn look kind of like he got railroaded.
I didn't.
Well, listen, because I had followed the real story before, and I knew that, you know, Flynn is a serial non-truth teller.
And so I just, you know, I watched it.
I'm like, oh, man, this is like stuff that's basically been covered in piecemeal before in like,
pro Flynn media. So I didn't jump to the occasion to go and watch it, but I think it is definitely
still worth covering. Oh, 100%. Yeah. It is a fascinating artifact. And yeah, just includes so many
little particularities that made me laugh. Like a good part of the movie is in essentially a room
sized version of like the cork board with strings. Yes. And they say without any further explanation
that two moms put it together.
Yeah.
Just two moms somewhere in America put this thing together.
And it is like a situation room that they often cut back to.
In fact, there's a scene in which Flynn brings Tucker Carlson into it.
And Tucker goes, whoa, this is wild.
I know.
I turned to my wife and I was like, oh my God.
I was like, baby, look, it's like the real life like cork board.
It's like the real life, like, always sunny meme.
And she was like, oh, my God, that's crazy.
And then like a couple minutes later walked into the other room and never came
back.
Which honestly fair.
I cannot imagine this movie.
Honestly, totally fair, yeah.
If you know nothing about any of this bullshit, which you shouldn't, if you're
the average person.
There's really no reason to understand what's going on in this movie or know any of these
characters.
But, yeah, if you don't, I mean, Jesus Christ, it must be an absolute slog to sit through.
You must just be like, wow, what a, what a wonderful man.
Why did they do him so bad, like, so mean?
This is, this is awful what happened to him.
I didn't really pay attention to the Mueller report what had happened, because I was
like this isn't going to do anything. But so, like, watching this, I was like, surely that
can't be the case. And then I Google whatever the actual situation is. And it's like, oh,
that's very funny that that's how they're presenting Flynn doing that. Let's jump right in then.
We open with a scenic shot of Flynn gracefully swimming on the peak of a wave. And then a little
spiel about the significance of water in his life.
Water has always been a big part of our lives in the Flynn family.
We all grew up surfing.
We're all grew up around the ocean.
If you don't respect the ocean,
if you don't have a respect for this thing,
which is alive.
The ocean is alive.
It's alive, boy.
There are giants in it.
I feel like this was like almost the start
of like a marine biology documentary.
Yeah.
Like the next line could be the book.
Blue whale, the giants of the ocean.
Yeah, and they do their first shot where you see Flynn filmed underwater in like a kind of
almost like Flynn was murdered and you're getting like flashbacks of like him like floating
in the water.
Some real bloodlines vibes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, very true.
And you find out that the director and kind of producer behind the movie is called Scott Wiper,
which that's good.
It could be Whipper, you know, we'll give him a better.
of the doubt. It's spelled W-I-P-E-R. Yeah, Scott Weiper. Which, they used to name families after what they
did as a, I can only assume this man would wipe the village's ass. You've been listening to a
