Starting point is 00:00:02 Well done. You found a way to connect to the internet. Welcome to the QAA podcast Premium Episode 357. Let them take out Los Angeles. As always, we are your host, Jake Rakitansky. Liv Ekar. Julian Field. And Travis View. Boy, do we really need these midterms to go our way.
Starting point is 00:00:52 And at this point, I'm sorry to say, even if they do, I am not sure it will stop Trump 2.0 from leaving a glacier-sized trail of chaos and violence behind him, as he lives to be 105. Whose way is this midterm able to go? Don't you say our way? ...sponsored by the Democratic Party. He specifically talking about gamers' rights. This is Wade Smith-Barrisoning.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I'm lipped out at this point because my only hope is that we can take over, not we, the Democrats can take over the House and Senate and impeach, you know, impeach at least Donald Trump before he continues to do further damage. Pod save QAnon. So that we can focus on the next dictator that they bring up.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I'm just, I'm tired of this. I'm tired of what we've got right now, I think. It's never going to end, Jake. This is America for the rest of America. Jake's so tired that he's trusting the Democratic Party again, baby. Also, Trump is the most impeached president of all time, so I don't know how many more impeachments will really make an impact. That's what my wife said to.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Jake, over time, has somehow gone, like, full circle to being like one of these days. Donnie's not going to get away with it. I have. It's like all I have. Yeah, things seem so hopeless that I'm just like, all right, let's just get rid of this guy now. Let's just focus on him. And then we'll see what. And then we'll see what we can do.
Starting point is 00:02:12 You know, some of us die young. Some of us live old enough to become Seth Abrams. Well, I didn't have like a hundred tweet thread about how I'm going to get him. I'm just, I'm just tired, I guess. No, you're just, yeah. You're the jiff of the hand reaching out of the water. And the Democratic Party is there for you, Jake. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:02:35 I know. I know they're not. No, these losers have done nothing. And I talk about it in the script. Jake is like 60 milligrams of Adderall away from making a very long thread of game theory on Twitter. No, I tried. I got prescribed Adderall once that it like totally ruined my life.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I'm one of those people that it does not, it doesn't work well for. Hope is dimming. And Canada is looking like a temps. Lamenting lateral moves, the United States plunges even deeper into darkness. Canada. We would love to have you, Jake. I can't wait. In our Nazi fascist state.
Starting point is 00:03:08 The housing ban lifts in 2027, so we'll see. We'll see, eh? Maybe I'll be up there. Oh, my God. I've never seen a man grasp at so many straws so fast. Canada, the Democrats, anybody! We have a government AI chatbot that has been directed to handle all government forms going forward. We have a Pete Hegseth announcing the Office of Religious Affairs at the Pentagon,
Starting point is 00:03:34 and now we got fucking 300 Nebraska cheering for Southern California to get nuked from orbit. Well, fuck you. I guess if you're still following Trump at this point, you will cheer for anything. Boy, I am really getting libed out, huh? Yeah. What should I do? I guess this is possibly good, because you may have just transformed into the median voter, in which case, you know, House and Senate for the Democrats for sure. If this has caused Jake to live out, how many other people in America in a swing district have lived out similarly? If this tidy breeze has caused the weather vein to turn, what else is turning? Jake, this is the butterfly wing flap we're seeing right now. You guys are using all sorts of terms. I don't understand references that I don't know, but
Starting point is 00:04:20 yeah, I'm sad. I live and I cackling madly Jake I'm sad Now look we Southern California lifers are used to this kind of behavior From the Red and Redder States You plop down a CA driver's license to buy jewel pods Cashiers are raising their eyebrows and shrugging their shoulders Some of them look like they just realized they stepped in dog dew And without fail they will all ask
Starting point is 00:04:45 Is it really as bad as they say over there And I reply, no it's pretty awesome It's hotter now than it used to be but it's still beautiful weather. Exciting industry, good Mexican food, all that, good dope, very chill. Okay. So going to jail basically in trailer park boys? That's your reference.
Starting point is 00:05:03 But now these jerks are cheering for Iran to nuke us because Trump absentmindedly are not invited them to. And here's the clip. And again, remember, with the word, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.
Starting point is 00:05:26 That's, this is a very small price to pay. And it's going to be over there. It's essentially almost over with. And they might keep going a little long, you know? They always say they have a big threshold for pain. They need it. Let me tell you, they need it. May I say that, um, that this is bad?
Starting point is 00:05:42 I totally agree. And it's bad because it makes people from San Diego feel like they're in the same league as Los Angeles. You know, it's making, it's made it. And they've wanted that. They've wanted that for so long. Look at Travis. Yeah, he wants San Diego to rise. He's been saying it.
Starting point is 00:05:58 He keeps telling me the South will rise again, and he meets San Diego. No, I mean, yeah, right now is a really nasty time to beat up on San Diego because the Padres were just knocked out of the postseason just yesterday against the Brewers. And it was, like, really rough series. Oh, I didn't even know that. Yeah. I didn't even know. I would have never kicked you while you were down. That's like basically your 9-11 is losing in baseball.
Starting point is 00:06:29 He's like, we're actually in mourning, dude. The flags are right now, Matt. It could very well possibly be that San Diego has two 9-11s back to back if this Trump prediction comes true. Yeah, one at the zoo and one at SeaWorld. There's just going to be a bunch of like just black outlines of flat brim hats on like every surface. I do wonder if this is just a product of his like dementing brain regurgitating some convoy he had with a general about nuclear exchange where the general's like, sir, like they would destroy Los Angeles. And he was like, come on.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I don't. I don't care. Yeah. That's kind of my guess too. Yeah. Like, like, yeah, it was like one of the job of like people who like brief the president is like give them a range of scenarios. Like, well, you know, one scenario is this. Worst case scenario, I suppose, you know, Iran could like target, you know, a major, you know, a.
Starting point is 00:07:19 hubs of activity, economic activity, our military bases, you know, in San Diego, Los Angeles. You know, like, he was like half paying attention. He was like, yeah, you probably thought, yeah, fuck those cities. Like, yeah, you vote for me. Yeah, so this intelligence briefing got mixed up with his own personal grievances and kind came tumbling out in that moment. Just saying that, but for the city you don't like, be like, fuck, go ahead, nuke Boston. The White House has since put out a statement about what the president meant, which
Starting point is 00:07:48 Frankly, I don't give a shit. I mean, maybe if we stopped letting ancient white men run the country, we wouldn't have to keep trying to interpret the steady stream of bullshit that comes out of their mouths. But the fallout was totally predictable. Taking an insane thing Trump mumbles as a coherent and directed attack is a national pastime. And naturally, there were lots of videos treating this like Donald Trump had just put a hit out on California. He really is such a special political figure. Because, like, I feel like for a while, people thought like, oh, I guess Trump won, there's no rules.
Starting point is 00:08:18 can say whatever I want. And it's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no one else. You'll still have consequences. Yeah. You'll still get in a lot of trouble for him. But him, he'll skate. You don't need a voice. I am your voice.
Starting point is 00:08:30 It is interesting, as you guys pointed out, that these were the two cities named. You know, maybe he's got some sort of vendetta against L.A. and San Diego, but like Liv suggested, I think the better explanation is that he was just regurgitating, like, something that he heard in a briefing or whatever. Go ahead, Newc Redondo Beach. Go ahead. We don't like that beach. You've been listening to a sample of a premium episode of the QAA podcast.
