QAA Podcast - Nine Angry Elevens (Premium E249) Sample

Episode Date: June 25, 2024

In 2012, rumors began to circulate through the Hollywood elite that a new screenplay surrounding the events of 9/11 was in the works. A committee of truthers entrenched in the entertainment industry w...ere eager for the “real” story to be told, in the hopes that President Obama might see the film and open a new investigation into the tragic attacks. The script had been lost to the ages until Liv traveled into the far reaches of the internet and retrieved a copy. We’re going to dive into how the film came to be, who was attached to star, and perhaps… force Travis to act in a couple scenes. Starting point is 00:00:00 POMAYOR. If you're hearing this, well done. You've found a way to connect to the internet. Welcome to the QAA podcast, Premium Episode 249, Nine Angry Elevenths. So that's good because we've got a very confusing thing. Episode 249, nine Angry Elevenths. I know, I thought about that when I was making the title, but the title was so funny and joking and pleased me so much. This has turned you into Tommy Numbers.
Starting point is 00:00:56 This is actually, this is a Tommy Numbers podcast now. Two, four, nine is nine, angry, 11s. It's a Jakey Numbers. Jakey Numbers is going to be the new show going forward. As always, we are your host, Jake Rockatansky. Lou Baker. Julian Numbers. And Travis View.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Today we have a very special movie episode, but it's not going to be your average movie night premium. This film, unfortunately, never made it to the silver screen. Yeah, we're graduating into movies that never actually became movies. Yeah, they never made it. We've now degraded so much that. Forget it. I mean, next up, we'll just cover things coked up people have, have pitched at parties.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I'd love to do a podcast about that, actually. Yeah, I'm not surprised. I mean, that kind of is already what we've, like, that's at the level of what we've been covering anyways. Oh, yes. There's no way there wasn't, like, a dinner plate party around the writing of the script. Yeah, or, like, just, like, kind of like a backroom bong sesh. Probably a combo.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Probably a few nights where they alternated between those two. This movie never made it to the silver screen, despite having backing from Hollywood stars like Martin Sheen, Woody Harrelson, John Hurd, and legendary director Ed Asner, who said to be fairly low budget, more of a passion project that resulted from the individual actor's political affiliations. And yes, it was going to be about 9-11, as you may have guessed from the episode title. And it was meant to blow the lid off the supposedly mounting list of lies and falsehoods surrounding the United States government's involvement in the attacks. So strap in as we do a deep dive into the 9-11 truth or film that never was. Even take a look at the screenplay, which circulated following the film's cancellation in late 2012. Oh, yeah. That's amazing. It really felt like it should have been a couple years earlier.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I don't know what they were doing there. Maybe a last minute, hellmerie sort of thing for this type of, like, lib conspiracy theorist. Yeah, you got to choke this out before Obama's in office. Yeah, definitely. I mean, like, Loose Change was released in 2000. That's a good year to release a 9-11 movie. 2012, you've missed the boat. It's good that Loose Change came first because I think the writer of this film watched
Starting point is 00:03:05 Lose Change and then just inserted the dialogue from that movie into, you know, his character's mouth for this one. It is genuinely very close to that as he talks about the script in other places. Dreaming about blackbagging Hillary and making her watch loose change at like a sight in Hungary. yeah yeah that's that's kind of that's kind of it yeah yeah the essentially the premise of this movie is that you know Hillary Clinton like walks into a room she's like all right the president couldn't be here so he sent me like I've got lunch in an hour what have you got and then like proceeds to like get yelled at by truthers for like 45 minutes that's kind of the vibe of the movie that's already very unrealistic because she has like zero tolerance for criticism and has been very condescending to young voters who've brought up topics they're not critical of her they're basically making the case. And, you know, spoiler, Hillary seems like maybe she's going to come around. Oh, okay. This is a cool Hillary then. Let's go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a cool Hillary. You'll see. Those who are unaware, 9-11 conspiracies in the Bush presidency were much more connected with
Starting point is 00:04:07 left-wing anti-war sentiments, which meant they had the possibility of being partisan in the complete opposite direction than today. When Obama was elected to office, for instance, there seemed to be some optimism by certain truthers that the new administration could potentially reveal some of the state secrets surrounding 9-11 hidden by Bush. Listen, we all had hopes, right? That was the whole campaign. I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:04:29 We thought he might prosecute the guy. Some hopes are different than others. Okay, yeah. Because I was 11, so I was not aware, but that was like a genuine belief of like, they're going to lock him up for war crimes? Kind of, yeah. Oh, yeah, no, no, for sure. Like, when it was revealed that he would not, he was going to choose to not prosecute,
Starting point is 00:04:49 it was an outrage because, you know, quite frankly, there were some. insane crimes that happened during the Bush years that should have been the first proper prosecution of an American president in the modern age. Now, and now W is like your drunk uncle who shows up at, you know, events and stuff. And he's smiling and having a good time. He's hugging everybody. He's like carted in, carted out. You know, no love lost. Yeah, I'm putting his paintings on my fridge. I'm very proud of our beautiful boy. We're drinking, uh, non-alcoholic, uh, light beers together. Given the different sort of layout of conspiracy theories were within American culture at the time,
Starting point is 00:05:25 it appears there were a surprisingly large amount of influential members of Hollywood, which generally has fairly pro-democrat liberal sympathies, who were appalled at American imperialism during the Bush admin, and viewed Bush as the architect of 9-11, and believed they could leverage their cultural clout to get Obama to hold those war criminals to account. In 2009, for instance, Charlie Sheen would publicly urge Obama to look into Bush covering up the truth surrounding 9-11
Starting point is 00:05:47 in a video that was released by Alex Jones and Infoars, got at least 4 million views on YouTube. Good afternoon, Mr. President. I come to you today representing the families of the victims of September 11th, as well as millions of my fellow Americans. Hopefully by now you've had a chance to read my letter to you 20 minutes with the President, and if not, at least had its contents brought to your attention. We have questions, Mr. President. Lots of questions. A lot of them are detail in my letter. But trust me, there are hundreds of more questions. As my letter chronicles, sir, the 9-11 commission itself says they were lied to, deceived, and essentially
Starting point is 00:06:35 prevented from carrying out a real investigation. People of the United States and the world demand the truth, sir. We have to continuously ask questions. That's what a patriot does. That's what a true You, sir, have the power, as well as the responsibility to initiate a truly independent congressional investigation into the events of 9-11, as well as its aftermath. We want our country back, Mr. President. Therefore, I'm not just calling on you and your team. I'm calling on each and every American citizen to wake up, stand up, and demand the truth. Okay, my favorite part about this clip is that Liv captured it.
Starting point is 00:07:18 on her computer so you can see her tabs at the top one of them just says lizard and the next one says Joe Biden gay bath and then just cuts off those are my most of my favorites tab actually the intro song to my Twitch stream which is a remix of Joe Biden saying gay bathhouses a bunch of times fantastic stuff oh wonderful I mean this was rebranded as info wars later right like she released this directly and then InfoWars is re-releasing it. As far as I'm aware, it was posted to the InfoWars like YouTube in 2009 and the letter was published on InfoWars as well. So I'm fairly certain it was a pretty close collaboration. This was when there was a much more, I suppose, subtlety to Alex Jones. And of course, I'm talking about subtlety in Alex Jones terms.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Let's not get carried away with that argument. It's also unfortunate that this guy then went completely off the fucking rails. I love watching stuff like this because it reminds me like, oh, we're all, we've always been so melted. Like, we're always, we've always been out in the streets, you know, calling ourselves patriots, holding up posters, you know, shouting for accountability. Oh, there are so many questions around 9-11 that are unanswered. But I remember specifically being a young man and watching loose change and being completely
Starting point is 00:08:43 pilled. Like, just gone. Oh, for sure. Me too. Just gone. I remember sitting in a Vietnamese restaurant with my parents. And being like, okay, guys, did you know that, um, just basically giving them some loose change stuff? I actually, I had a very different experience with loose change, which might be unsurprising.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I remember specifically being unpersuaded by the little puffs of smoke that appeared as the, as the buildings came down, which they focused on, which they thought was evidence of control demolition. But I don't know. At the time, it's like, this is, I mean, this is kind of what this blurry little, little images of smoke. coming out of windows. It didn't persuade me at the time. To give you guys an idea where I was at mentally, you know, the most interesting thing to me about the videos circulating after 9-11
Starting point is 00:09:27 was the one where the smoke appears to make the face of a demon. Of a demon? Of course you liked that one. You're like, that was the one where I was like, oh my God, I was like, you're using demons.
