QAA Podcast - The Fake DNA Test Enraging the Bigfoot Hunting Community (Premium E354) Sample
Episode Date: September 18, 2026Charles Stuart, aka “Snake the Bigfoot Hunter” claims he found a dead Bigfoot body in the Adirondacks, and he has a supposed DNA report from a Cornell University lab to prove it. Cornell, however,... says it never performed the test. Now there’s a threatened $10 million lawsuit and a furious Bigfoot hunter establishment over an alleged corpse named Dack that was on display at the New York State Fair. We investigate the alleged evidence, which involves reading surprisingly vulgar passages from Snake’s Bigfoot Bible. Along the way, we check the reaction of rival Bigfoot research organizations and get too many details about a sexual escapade involving SpaghettiOs that supposedly unlocked new mysteries about the place of humans in the tree of life. But after we learn that “Snake’s” name isn’t really “Charles Stuart,” we’re left wondering whether exposing an elaborate hoax just earns us a supporting role in a carefully-curated performance. During this, well done, you found a way to connect to the internet.
Welcome to the QAA podcast Premium Episode 354, the fake DNA test enraging the Bigfoot hunting community.
As always, we are your host, Jake Rakatansky, Julian Fields, and Travis View.
In 2006, the practice of Bigfoot hunting is not in good shape.
Oh, no.
The last sighting that went viral was in 2024 when a TikTok user posted a short video showing a hairy figure,
sitting beside a tree near Lawton, Oklahoma.
The video was even reported on by a TMZ.
Unfortunately, it was soon revealed
that the clip was produced for a viral marketing campaign
for a head shop.
This is what they're doing with our cryptids,
our sense of wonder,
using it to sell weed vessels.
Well, you know, monsters and weed,
they go well together.
That's so true.
It's the first thing you want to see when you're on weed,
you know, a huge monster.
On top of that, a documentary scheduled to be released
next month called Capturing Bigfoot purports to cast even more doubt on the thoroughly debunked
Patterson Gimland film. So this is a famous 59-second clip from 1967 that appears to depict a
large ape-like creature walking away as it looks back at the cameraman. Though that clip has long
been established as a hoax, the filmmakers behind capturing Bigfoot claim that they have
unearthed 40 seconds of film that depicts a rehearsal for the hoax Bigfoot footage. So I have to
confess, right now, it's a much more exciting time to be UFO guy to the Bigfoot hunter.
If you're into UFOs, I mean, like, you're eating good.
Like, you've got members of Congress on board.
You have these splashy documentaries.
I mean, you are not hurting for good UFO content.
But Bigfoot is not so good right now.
Yeah, we have to get the government back into Bigfoot.
I think we can do it.
Yeah.
I don't know how much money there is to be made on foot.
That's the whole thing.
They want to expand, like, space force and, you know,
dress everybody up as little, like, Nazi toy soldiers and stuff.
There's not much you can do with Bigfoot.
I guess like if they want to deploy the National Guard permanently, maybe they could be like, hey, we need to have them everywhere crawling the forest for these evil interdimensional creatures.
Yeah, we'll see.
We'll see.
There's an accusation I'll discuss later in this episode about the government's supposed involvement in hunting bigfoot.
Of course.
However, the Bigfoot hunting community was rocked in July of last year by an announcement that someone had discovered a complete and mostly intact body of a Bigfoot in the mountains.
of northeastern New York State.
Now, the man who claims to have found this bigfoot body
goes by the name Charles Stewart or Snake the Bigfoot Hunter.
Let's go. Nice rename.
Yeah, it's a good one.
This is what I'd like to be called from now on.
Jake the snake, yeah, you already are.
I already, I'm there.
Better than Jake from State Farm, which is the norm.
No, no, no.
You know, I mean, it is a bold decision
when you're trying to promote something
that's very incredible to call yourself the snake.
Yeah, and you have like the most British name,
Charles Stewart, aka the Snake.
Now, he even claims that a DNA profile of the beast has established that this is in fact
a unique creature.
So this is from the press announcement.
The specimen affectionately dubbed DAC was discovered in the fall of 2024 deep within
the Adirondack Mountains by veteran cryptozoologist and lead investigator Charles
Snake Stewart.
For 12 years, the Serenic Lake Native has pursued the elusive beast, pioneering,
a revolutionary stealth hunting method after abandoning traditional techniques.
Snake!
His relentless and innovative approach led him to the discovery of a lifetime,
not just bones, but a full body, preserved tissues, and scat samples.
Yum.
A comprehensive DNA profile constructed from the specimen reveals an astonishing genetic nexus,
directly linking the creature to both modern humans and our archaic ancestors,
the Neanderthals.
You know, I first thought when I heard his name
that Charles's nickname had to do with his love of, I don't know,
outdoors and, you know, the snake, you know,
maybe, you know, sounds like a cool thing.
But now that I'm reading that he's perfected
or pioneered a revolutionary stealth hunting method,
I think he's just a Metal Gear Solid fan.
He is.
It's not the snake.
It's snake.
So he is more MGS.
Yeah.
I'm glad that that's definitive.
Now, if you found the Bigfoot body,
Where exactly would you unveil it so the wider world can know about it?
Now, in his case, it was the great New York State Fair.
Perfect.
Yeah, state fair.
Snake has proven himself very good at drumming up publicity for this Bigfoot body.
On his website, he shows off several interviews with local television news affiliates,
like this one filmed at the scene of the New York State Fair for the ABC News affiliate in Rochester.
This was found actually in a marshy terrain, and I was in that area and I smelled it.
So I followed my nose further and further until this was there.
And complete out of body experience, a lot of vomiting, dry heaving.
I had to leave the scene, go back in three times before I started understanding exactly what I had.
So this thing stunk and then it was dead for about two days.
So slight decomp.
Can I ask?
You said that this big foot here was found dead.
Were there other tracks in the area?
Was he a casualty of perhaps a fight or something like that with another big foot?
That's a great question, Christian, and you're 100% right.
So to describe this guy for the listener, he's got long shaggy hair.
He's got like pit viper style glasses, a cowboy hat.
He's looking very like flamboyant.
He looks like, I don't know, like a weird mix of stuff.
Like professional wrestler mixed with like an alt-right guy.
Like, I don't know.
A little bit of Tiger King thrown in.
Yeah, something's going on here.
I love that it's like, I'm just a normal guy who happens to stumble, have stumbling.
I stumbled across the body of a big foot, but I'm incredibly camera ready, and I'm about to threaten Hulk Hogan.
Let me tell you, it stinks.
Yeah, and I have to say, I'm not too pleased with this guy, I guess, is like a reporter with this affiliate going in.
It's like, are these bite marks consistent with the chupacabra, you know?
We're two ancient giants battling it out through time and space when you stumbled across it.
It's in a box, by the way, of course.
Like, it's like you can't...
Glass box.
If you touch that thing, you'd find the glue.
Or your finger would just go through it like paper mache.
You might think the wider Bigfoot community would welcome this extraordinary new development,
but that is not the case.
More established Bigfoot hunters are treating Snake's claims with skepticism,
and one win as far as calling him a newcomer hoaxer scammer.
Snake tried to silence his skeptics by publishing what appears to be a.
DNA analysis from a lab at Cornell University.
And the report states that the samples show that the ancestry of the creature is 41.2% Neanderthal
and 17.3 Denisovan, and the rest is modern human.
Snake's promotion of the support led Cornell University to issue a denial that their labs
had any involvement in the supposed analysis.
Snake is now claiming that Cornell is lying and has threatened to sue.
Oh, that's so awesome.
Starting a big fight with Cornell is such a perfect thing for a guy who looks like.
Yeah, so today we're going to talk about the man who's making big waves in American cryptozoology
and the evidence he's presenting that his Bigfoot is the real deal.
But I also want to take a step back and examine the true context of this media spectacle.
Though reporting on Charles Snake the Bigfoot Hunter Stewart, treats his claims as sincere,
are we actually dealing with the most elaborate project of a seasoned performance artist?
And by even engaging with the story, am I not debunking or clarifying,
it rather adding to the total effect of this project.
I love the idea that you could clarify this for all of us.
Well, please.
Tell us if the Bigfoot is real.
Well, I, you know.
We needed something fun.
We needed something fun.
I needed this bad for sure.
