Comedians Clare O'Kane, Alex Ptak, and Jeremy Kaplowitz explore the mysterious land of Quora.com to answer life's questions. This week's questions include: Which is that country where boys and girls g...et freedom? My son just got 50 years in prison. Is he cooked? Why, does she do this? My mother makes me uncomfortable telling anyone we meet I am one of her "handsome sons". It is gross. She does it in front of women my age as well as if they even care. Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm getting an x-ray today. I'm glad you're getting that x-ray, Claire. What's going on with your lung? The left lung. You can tell which one is left? Yeah, my left side. Okay, go on. If I had some sort of pain, I would never be like, what's my left lung?
Starting point is 00:00:17 It's localized. Sounds like you don't know your body. Yeah, no, I don't. And I feel there was a weird thing where I could feel sort of my heartbeat and there was like a sort of vibration like a cell phone was sort of stuck in the back there but it didn't hurt and now it's starting to hurt
Starting point is 00:00:34 and a doctor said that the lining of my lung is inflamed that sounds scary well you got a diagnosis then but then he's like yeah if it's still like that in a month go get an x-ray and it felt like there was a cell phone back there it felt like
Starting point is 00:00:49 because it's inflamed and so it's now has it gotten worse No, now it just kind of hurts in the night. But I'm like, there's my heart over there. Batman runs the night. The whole thing. Is OBS going?
Starting point is 00:01:04 Yeah, everything's going. Everything's going? Okay, great. That could all be on the podcast. It's none of it will be on the podcast. Everyone is very healthy. Well, George, the show is we go on Quora. Please dance to the song.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Oh, honey, we're back on the Quarters podcast every week online on Quora.com. That's the show. It's Alex and Jeremy and Claire. What a week we have for you. Seven days at a time. They break up our months and our months are our moons. Sometimes I feel like you start this podcast like you're just learning English. I don't think about it in advance.
Starting point is 00:01:54 And when we go to the bathroom. Usually I do the weather. Today it's hot. Are you reading baby books to your baby? She's, like, I've been doing it, but she doesn't have, like, words yet. So it's fun. I've just been reading her my books. Sometimes they get, like, scary.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Your books? Yeah, I was reading her one of my books. Yeah, like sci-fi novels or, like, stuff with a demon in it. And I'll do the voices. She likes the voices. Although, and you know what? I should have introduced our guest. But I will say I scared my baby for the first time this week by doing the Dune song.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Oh. And she screamed. she was so afraid for like a while and this song goes that sucks right Nick yeah
Starting point is 00:02:34 well I've been doing it a lot because I didn't get any pushback because you have plans within plans we got a great show for you this week we got all the way
Starting point is 00:02:41 from the Stradio Lab podcast the world famous George Saveris everybody George hello thanks for coming over Claire are you drinking blank street coffee
Starting point is 00:02:48 yes don't you know they're evil are they I don't know yeah whatever more evil than Starbucks Okay, I guess that's a good question.
Starting point is 00:02:55 It's a different kind of evil. Starbucks is evil in the way that an old conglomerate is evil. Blank Street Coffee is more like venture-funded evil. It's like teal bucks. I've heard people say this before, but I never knew in what specific way. I thought it was because they were gentrifiers or something. Well, I know they're evil because they have lattes based on astrological signs. Oh, that's great.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, that's even worse than having venture capital. Yeah, that's how you know. I approved of their Aries marketing. I found it bold and innovative. Where are we on astrology? You know. I'm back in. I'm fully back in.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I'm all the way in. I don't know what the risings are still. Because we're entering a recession. It's like 1970, whatever, all over again. We're having a conflict with Iran. Bumper stickers are back in a big way. Like 70s style astrology. I actually think we went so far in the astrology direction
Starting point is 00:03:48 that there's going to be a comeback of like christopher hitchens richard dawkins style like new atheism rationalism oh yeah yeah i just think people are i think we gave too much grace to the astrology um slash lgbtq ethos so your things are going to get a less god more straight i just think there's going to be less patience for people that waver from the rational path yeah i think you're right and i'm not saying i endorse that i'm just saying my cultural forecasting cultural forecast spidey senses are tingling cultural forecast after weather forecast yes george have you been on quora.com yes but i have to say not recently okay not on purpose it's changed a lot actually yeah well i i feel like i know my recent interaction
Starting point is 00:04:37 with it has been purely from clips of this show and i don't know how representative those are of what the quora.com you know we've received some reviews about that uh but only in that the clips are a straight fire yeah they go don't bother listening the clips are better than the actual they're deceptively fire which is all things really need to be um yeah uh that they now kind of impose unless you're in specific areas uh that they want things in the form of a question which if you go back on the website is not extensively true like there are just stuff like reddit posts that are open discussions uh but everything has been kind of refiled into that format and also because one of the either founders or ceos is such a big ai guy the whole thing is
Starting point is 00:05:24 very ai heavy-handed now in a way where like they have ai asking questions so we'll go to like go you know roast one but it's actually just a computer so actually we're the problem yeah um and then it will have computer answers to the questions and the questions don't always make sense so it is a fucking uh free-for-all over there i think that's sort of why i stopped going there because you're going to it i i would like i wouldn't go to quora.com but i would click on a quora thing if i had a question about like for example i have the ac unit that is growing mold you know how they're you want yeah so i have the i have three three of the ac units that are just recalled because they grow mold which one is that it's called the media something something
Starting point is 00:06:07 oh medea takes on summer medea yeah exactly wait speaking of medea she's also in the news the point is that's exactly that's all good reasons that's the kind of question you would google like what do i do about this mold right and i did not click on the quora answer because i was like this is not where the people it's not safe this is not where the answer i want is like it's gonna be either on reddit or on youtube and i i don't remember when that switched but i feel like around like 2016 2017 i was like this is not where the people was trump yeah it was trump the people's voice i was just looking in my ac today there's mold in there in your ac am i gonna get legionnaires disease yes as a matter of fact your lung
Starting point is 00:06:49 just talk about mysterious illness you have before we start recording mold is really annoying because it's one of those things that you really want someone to tell you is not that bad and no it's bad no it is bad it's like really bad because i keep being like but i don't have to really throw away these three ACs, right? And everyone's like, this is what Last of Us was about. I know. Someone I know was posting on Instagram about having mushrooms in their shower. I feel like it's really scary. Very groovy, man.
Starting point is 00:07:12 I knew someone who had mold growing on her body. Oh, that's bad. What the hell? I don't know. She's so wrapped up. Bro, last ant moot. I knew this guy was covered in mold. Get a patch. So how do I clean it?
Starting point is 00:07:28 I guess I'll Quora it. Right, we'll get back around to that. I just want to say that I have only met two people so far who have this AC you've been recalled and they all have multiple units
Starting point is 00:07:37 and that's so funny to me. Well, the thing is and I'm not putting myself in this group but it is the most popular AC amongst sort of like an upwardly mobile
Starting point is 00:07:49 because it's like the people that like read Wirecutter and want like a sort of like millennial design like it is the type of people
Starting point is 00:07:57 that would have multiple AC units. For a very cold dry room. as we found out a very moldy room you'll be coughing blood soon uh this week's theme is family affairs so full transparency we're going to get right into our first segment here which is space of the week a lot of the stuff today comes from this space even in the like rest of the episode it was like kind of fine there's a lot of stuff on there and it's kind of dangerous
Starting point is 00:08:24 to click around but this week's space of the week is stuff men have to deal with Space of the week Oh yeah If you're not Watching the video Jeremy is the only one Not wearing red So he's wearing our flag
Starting point is 00:08:42 Oh I forgot By the way We have a flag We have a damn flag And I've just run the marathon Red is the official Quora color Yeah I guess so
Starting point is 00:08:49 Oh so we're all dressed Appropriately then Yeah All dressed to impress And we are the CEOs Of Quora as well So it's important That we wear the coat
Starting point is 00:08:57 So if you have any complaints Please send them to us And I'm a sort of McKinsey consultant that was hired to downsize. And by the end of the episode, I'm going to decide which of you is getting fired. Maybe all of us. It's probably going to be, well, it's probably not going to be you, Claire, because women get paid less, so it would not make financial sense to fire you because you'd be saving less money.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Alex is our CFO. He has our one credit card. Right. And I've been doing corruption left and right, so I probably got to go. You're doing corruption. That's damn right. Don't. This week's space is stuff men have to deal with.
Starting point is 00:09:25 This is a support forum for typical problems, frustrations, experiences of male gender 38 contributors 10 000 followers a medium-sized quora space again it's not tiktok folks 10 000 is a lot there's a there's a lot of people on here user wise it's kind of all over the place there's stuff that's a lot of like incel stuff and there's a lot of stuff like hey i just had a baby uh who wants to talk about what fathers do and then there's other people being like i was sexually assaulted when i was four so just look out for that, but I do. Those are all things men have to deal with. They are all things men
Starting point is 00:09:59 have to deal with. That's why it's kind of the perfect space. So it's sort of, one of the contributors is Burball. I'm seeing a female name. Sorry to be gender essentialist. Go down. Patrick, this one. Oh, Ella May. Which one are you looking at? Danny or Ella? Ella. But also Danny,
Starting point is 00:10:15 D-A-N-I, also sounds like a woman. I wonder if Ella May is just like a content professional, and that's why they brought her in. Well, she's also the admin of of stuff women have to deal with. LMA seems to be like that. It's actually so progressive
Starting point is 00:10:29 to have an in-cell forum where the admin is a woman and she's like, guys? Knock it off or keep it up. So this one, stuff women have to deal with is not just feminism,
Starting point is 00:10:40 pro-women. Oh, followed by Eugene Mormon. Yes, Eugene Mormon, our good friend, Eugene Mormon. From Bob's Borgers. Libertarian Eugene Mormon. I think this is the only guy
Starting point is 00:10:54 we are following just because his name is funny. It's a good name. He lives in Pontiac, Michigan. Damn, he has a PhD in theology? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:02 He's cool as hell. He's very wise as well. He knows much of the scriptures. I could never. He had a talk show in Muskegon, Michigan called the Eugene
Starting point is 00:11:09 and Eugene Show. All right, let's get out of Eugene's face. Yes, let's focus on stuff women have to deal with. What about men? I just want to say
Starting point is 00:11:16 that this space is a little over two times the size of the other ones. There's a lot more interest in stuff women have to deal with. Do you think stuff
Starting point is 00:11:24 women have to deal with is broadly anti-vax or pro-vax? It could go either way. I would say anti-vax. I would say anti-vax because of the image being the cartoon woman with pink hair. Also, based on a lot of videos I saw around 2021 of who
Starting point is 00:11:41 was seizing on camera for getting the vax. It was a lot of stuff women had to deal with. It's 22,000 women who have to walk backwards because they got the vaccine. That shit's so funny. Ella May curated a bunch of the questions we have today. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Ella. Okay, here's a question from Stuff Men Have to Deal With. M29, how will having muscles make me look better? It is just going to make me look stupid being short and having muscles. It would be embarrassing, and I will look ugly. Now, this is a question. Wait, this, like, breaks my heart. See, like, he's giving up on the idea of asking a question halfway through.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Yeah. He's, like, trying to ask a question, and at the end, he's like, never mind, I'm worthless. Never mind, I'm going to be ugly anyway, and no one's going to like me. He's really knocking himself down in the middle here. So you can be short, little, and have muscles. People like that. Can I just say no one loves having muscles more than little guys.
Starting point is 00:12:32 This is from Hex Hex. Little guys have the biggest and most muscles out of everyone. It's also easier. I mean, obviously, it's just easier to be built when you're little. There's less surface area to work with. There's less to love and, therefore, more to build. Less surface area. I've been lifting weights a lot recently, and I resent being tall.
Starting point is 00:12:49 I think it would be very helpful if I was, like, five feet tall. the weights only have to go up around six inches shorter. Heavyweights are made for a dwarven musculature, much like Gimli of Lord of the Rings. Lower to the ground. Lower to the ground, thank you. It's just solid as a rock. I think of many, there's many athletes that are shorter.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I'm trying to think, other than like, you know, wrestlers. We can't say Gimli. We already said him. Our body, not bodybuilders, are weightlifters generally shorter? Yeah. It's better. Shot putties.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Shot putties. Yeah, anything where you don't have to, sorry, run. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, a lot of, like, all the basketball players are famously seven feet tall. But, like, if you just need to be, like, very powerful, you can just really, like, think of how dense you can make a square. Yeah. Oh, you know who's very short is a jockey.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Like, polo. Like, people who ride horses. Oh, yeah. Gymnasts. And gymnasts. Oh, yeah. Simone. Yeah, so what's this guy talking about?
Starting point is 00:13:47 You're going to look fat. You're going to look like Simone Biles. You're going to look as great as Simone Biles. I found this guy's account. His name is Hex Hex. All of his questions are like this. Why does no one believe me when I say I don't exercise because I can't develop muscles? I haven't exercised for two years straight and gained zero size muscles and strength.
Starting point is 00:14:04 I can't develop muscles if I work on them. Do you believe me? Okay, but what is his protein? I mean, we got to see some macro stats here. What is his protein intake? Yeah, you can be lifting weight all day, but eating like only buttered noodles, it's not going to do anything. It's not going to work out for you. He says, M29, can you rate my looks?
Starting point is 00:14:22 But then he doesn't have a photo or anything. Can you click it? I did. There's nothing there. There's no answers. There's no photo. Well, you want someone to say, let me see your photo. What a tease.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Should we ask? Yes. Okay. Say, show me the photo, hex, hex. Okay, I posted it. All right, that's good. Jeremy, send that in. That's good podcasting.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Wait. Go back to his questions. How do you build self-esteem when the only person hyping you up is biologically required to love you? And this is, I think, another one of the questions we have. There's a lot of, like, my mother says I'm so handsome, but she's lying. But I'm ugly and cheesy. You think this is all from this one guy?
Starting point is 00:14:58 No. Well, all of these are from this one guy. Yeah, this is his page. But not all of the ones we're going to do today. Okay, good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You'll see. Just wait until you see these great questions.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I can't find any info on how to make DMT on the internet. Can you help me? All right, this is starting to paint a picture. every one of his questions starts with m29 he's gotten younger how do i get my family to forget about me well what's the answer this guy hates his mom so much on this she loves him too much how do we get my family to forget about me and then someone responds yes unfortunately this is quora is such a bad website that they've just attached a different question onto here which is is there
Starting point is 00:15:41 a way to make your family completely forget you? And he says yes. And then you have to cut all ties. I don't know if anyone actually answered this question. Oh, someone did. They said, have you tried telling them to? It's called going no contact. So no contact is a TikTok thing? Is it?
Starting point is 00:15:56 Because I found out about... What? Oh, I'm sorry. That was killing Spree. I was like, who said that? That was the Halo announcer. He's not really here. I was like, am I losing it? and so like i think it's everyone's really into saying that their family members and ex-boyfriends
Starting point is 00:16:16 are narcissists yes totally and so going no contact is a new like creating boundaries yeah blah blah this is how i know i'm no longer like young and privy to online culture is like i literally learned about no contact from like a new yorker article quoting a bunch of tiktoks whereas when we were like 26 i would like first hear about things on twitter and then be like These losers like reading the New York Times. They're just catching up to no contact. I have to hear about it from George weeks after the article comes out. Well, anyway, everyone's doing it.
Starting point is 00:16:51 What if your baby goes no contact with you? That would suck. I will not allow that. You can't do the Dune song anymore. She won't survive. I'll hunt her like a Ben and Jesseret. I think a lot of times people do it because it's like their parents don't like that they're gay or whatever. What would you have to do for your kid to go no contact?
Starting point is 00:17:08 I guess I have to stop supplying milk. Really, I could be completely cut out of the picture at this point. It's all on Alyssa at that point. Fair enough. Alyssa would have to draw the boundaries because I'm very superfluous. I meant like when she's an adult, like she's 17. Oh, when she's F29? Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:27 I guess I would have to tell her like, I would have to like keep insisting that she build muscle and then she can't and then that would create that barrier naturally. Let's move on to another question. Okay, fine. But we're still in stuff men have to deal with because men have to deal with so much stuff. They have to deal with so much stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Which is that country where boys and girls get freedom? This is what I was saying. It's all over the place. This is really good. I'm also loving this follow-up question. What freedom are you talking about exactly? Great place to start. Logan, you're completely correct.
Starting point is 00:17:57 No follow-up, though. Yeah, no, and that's in fact the only answer. There's one other answer here. It says Poland. Only the pretty ones are let in, and that's by Maciej Kania. okay he's polish pole spotted which is that country where boy okay what if does he mean some sort of country where it's like easier to get emancipated as a uh as a minor like boys and
Starting point is 00:18:23 girls i see as children no contact i'm trying to get no contact what is that country where it's legal to go no contact this is kind of the no contact horror space actually now that we're got to get to it yeah the undercurrent of every question is like do i need my family and why do i feel so isolated sorry alex read this response from carl there's a few more and i like that there's specific countries it's not people were confused they're like my society oh there's carl vag girl vag who says my society australia has a relatively good situation for females such as prime minister of australia and such like i really like my society australia It's not a country.
Starting point is 00:19:01 It's a full society. It's a movement. Wedge down under. Everyone, box the kangaroo. Why are God and religion so confusing, he answers. He has 31,000 answers and seven questions. So I'm like, is this a person or is this an AI? You know, some people answer and some people ask, and he's an answerer.
Starting point is 00:19:21 This is Carl Vag. Yeah, this is a famous Australian, Carl Vag. Less God, more straight. He asked, what happened to you, little one? damn i'm a big fan of follow carl badge asap this is a powerful mind what happened to you little one that's a great question i don't know the answer to it carl has also answered 32 000 questions it says what does it actually mean do you wish to share this answer he has a question about just like the wording of quora yeah i hate that too and it's a lot
Starting point is 00:19:55 of websites just people being pedantic about how bad the format of the website is yeah we don't know what the question is just do your best wait i'm looking for 10 safest countries for women to live and visit oh from jnc costello this is the answer under carl just linking to an article norway finland iceland denmark luxembourg switzerland sweden austria why are you so disappointed in that i don't live in any of those places it means nothing to me i want to know where boys and girls are safe not just 10 safest countries boys are safe in norway listen where girls are safe boys are safe boys are safe jeremy open your eyes boys keep each other safe we keep us safe we're boys who keeps boys safe we keep boys safe this is stuff men have to deal with
Starting point is 00:20:37 so the questions by bikram jeet singh yeah that's right and he says online errand money uh-huh i don't know what that means but he lives in paquette which is kind of cool yeah here's We love what you do. Good men, I have two questions for you. Do you feel you suffer because of the bad men in the world? And do you think most men would not harm females? Okay, now we're getting somewhere. This is a legitimate question.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Doubleheader. This is stuff men have to deal with. It's so good, it's two questions. Do you guys feel you suffer because of the bad men in the world? I don't think this question is for me. Oh, because you're not a good man? Oh, I'm a good man and I definitely suffered. You know what?
Starting point is 00:21:16 It takes a Jeremy to make an Alex. You suffer at the hand of bad men I'm kind of a dark avenger Molded by Jeremy But yes I do feel I suffer Well everyone suffers Because of the I guess it's like
Starting point is 00:21:32 Everyone suffers because of the bad men in the world Yeah Period That's it But then also I think what this is implying is like Do you suffer as a man Like is it Right
Starting point is 00:21:41 Bad PR for men That there are bad men in the world Which is a different thing than like Than like yes we suffer from bad men because they create wars. Right. And they also, they make you shave your pubes.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Yes. And they set unrealistic standards. You think bad men make you shave your pubes? This is again, this is theoretically. This is just me and Alex. I make them do it.
Starting point is 00:22:00 He says it's good for the podcast. It is good. It reduces drag. No one can see that. You see what I gotta deal with? You know, on my way here, I saw a tweet that said,
Starting point is 00:22:10 engaging in deforestation, parentheses, trimming my bush. Damn. Now that's a classic tweet. That's fire. That's like old school Twitter. Jeremy, clip that.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Me incorrectly quoting a tweet. I don't remember. Make a misrepresentative clip from this. There's this guy called Drill. There is something these days, maybe in the past few years, where because of Me Too hashtag. Why not? Hashtag Me Too.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I've never heard of that. There's this whole thing where bad men were ruining it for the good men say it oh is that what me too is about the bad men yeah they're ruining it for the good men because so me too is like it's like men good men started that movement being like yes me too i'm good black hats and white hats and when you're when you're on the dating scene all the good straight men go they just the bad men really ruined it for us because now we have to be so careful when we go on dates girl and we have now we're scared that we're gonna say the wrong thing when it's just like well why don't you just be a good guy yeah what are you afraid of
Starting point is 00:23:16 well they're gonna take something i said out of cut it's like well then just think for a like five more seconds anyway that's what's why bad men are ruining good men women always think they're on a date with tuco salamanca what from breaking bad guy yeah oh you know tuco crazy this guy was Did you call the guy with the head on the tortoise? Yeah. No. That was not. You guys need to get your story straight.
Starting point is 00:23:40 That was not him. That guy's name was like Turtle or something. And that story, by the way, is Breaking Bad. There's no objectively correct answer that one of us is right about. Did a high school teacher broke bad? Yeah, but at what cost? Do you think most men would not harm females? Do you think Walter White is the bad man that made it bad for good men?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Yeah, Aaron Paul. He did, but he also killed all those Nazis in the movie at the end. So that was how he came back around. Two different types of bad men. That's true, that's fake as well. All bald. Do you remember when people were like, oh, it's okay for Walter White to be an anti-hero,
Starting point is 00:24:20 but not Hannah Horvath? And you're like, shut up. It's not really okay for any of them. Yeah, exactly. No one is like, I mean, I guess you sort of are rooting for him, but like it's not, I don't know if it's because of toxic masculinity. Okay, so it's all right for Mickey Mouse to steal his master's wand and make all that mischief while classical music plays.
Starting point is 00:24:44 That's okay. But Hannah Horvath can do that. Oh, but Lydia Tarr's canceled now. She has to make the Monster Hunter soundtrack while Mickey rakes it in. should we read any of these comments on this I feel like the comments must be good I'm not sure I think most men
Starting point is 00:25:03 would harm would not harm females the word most is carrying a lot most is too many it's like what does harm mean is being rude is gaslighting it what will lead me to go no contact please don't go no contact
Starting point is 00:25:19 Claire honestly a weird emoji a weird emoji you think is harm and abuse yeah and i go i don't need that in my life um the one that looks like he's stuck in a speaker you said you like that one i know i don't like it it's a love hate relationship you said i think on this podcast like two months ago it's your favorite emoji well now my favorite one is the one that's tired there's a new tire oh and you there's a new one that's tired i don't like upside down smile oh i don't either i really don't like it what does that mean you know what
Starting point is 00:25:49 here's what it gives to me it's like people saying i'm fluent in sarcasm oh it's just it's commit to something. Or like sarcastic comment loading. Yeah. It's an Elon Musk style emoji. It's so Elon Musk, yes. It's when you say a sentence that's bad and then the smiley face is, it's so bad it's upside down. I gotta show you the tired. I like pensive.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Oh yeah, pensive is good. Oh, this one's good. I like that one. Oh, the Rizzler. There's a Rizzler emoji? No fucking way. Yeah, there is. Already? It's just thinking emoji. It's just thinking emoji. The Rizzler didn't invent that. Oh yeah, you're right. I'm sorry. I'll back up. I was wrong on that one. Rizzler thought, is it the original? Oh, I like that one.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Okay, so I guess the answer is to ask women what emojis they like currently and don't show them to them. Let's read this answer. Read it, Alex, from Robert. He's a lion. He's a lion, and he's a former seaman gunner at the Irish Naval Service. So that's a guy. Yeah, so he's an expert in guys.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Actually, good men. I've dealt with hostile, aggressive, and violent men a number of times in my life, but I've been around long enough to know that these individuals are the exception, not the rule. That's a subjective experience. but I would also say I've suffered from an objective level of secondhand distress by the way society treats men as a whole due to the actions of the worst among us guilty by association you could say not that I or most men have anything to feel guilty for
Starting point is 00:27:07 I've never harmed a woman in my life yet there isn't enough to prevent some women from being fearful of me simply because I'm male I'm just imagining how awful I'd feel if anytime I wrote something i imagine people reading it obnoxiously on a podcast i'm imagining him as a lion as i do it too me too aslan imagine aslan saying this shit the magical king lion uh there's more to this but it's it's a lot more of how men are actually yeah it's interesting that he's like i have faced distress because of the way society treats men as a whole due to the actions of the worst among us that's every group right everyone faces distress because society because of like stereotypes of the worst among them in whatever group they're in whether it's like racial or
Starting point is 00:27:54 ethnic or whatever and because of the bad men that's right shave those pubes i'm pointing at jeremy with my thumb as i do that audio listeners a ron roberts profile he's a big contributor to stuff men have to deal with three questions himself imagine being in the irish navy he says So when someone gets the better of you, you block replies, then run and hide? Coward. Oh, my God. And then the next one is, how do I cope with touch deprivation? And his final question, his final question, have you ever been attracted to someone with
Starting point is 00:28:22 Asperger's? Oh, no. These three together are, like, brilliant. Tell a story. They should be framed in a museum. Yeah. Put it on a shirt. We need merch.
Starting point is 00:28:34 We just have this guy's Quora profile on a T-shirt. Yeah. I do kind of want to know How to cope with Touch deprivation But it may get sad Well luckily that one Has 11 answers
Starting point is 00:28:43 It may get sad I think it's going to get Said very quickly The question is sad Isn't it just Give yourself a hug Touch starvation Get a massage
Starting point is 00:28:52 Okay great Alright great names In this thread instantly One was wash beef cut This last year Has left me aching For hugs Live alone
Starting point is 00:29:00 This is during COVID by the way This is four years ago Oh well that makes sense It's less sad then Sure It's more universal Right.
Starting point is 00:29:08 It's not just that you're so unlovable no one has ever touched you. It's that we all had to isolate to prevent a disease. No touch was happening. No. Well, I guess the answer is massage or hug. Massage or hug. Hug yourself.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Thanks for writing in. Oh my God. And there's some sort of Healthline article about self-hugging. With a picture of the human intestine. Yeah, I don't know what's going on with that. That's interesting. Is it good for digestion?
Starting point is 00:29:32 It's kind of hugging your food. It looks like a scarf to me. Chic. I refuse to click it. Although you can go to Cuddlist.com for platonic cuddle sessions. Go to Cuddlist.com. I actually do have to go to Cuddlist.com.
Starting point is 00:29:48 I'm sorry, Alex. You can't make me a counter or anything. It's a dating app for cuddling. For platonic cuddling. You know, I heard a rumor that a very famous political commentator frequents cuddle parties. Whoa!
Starting point is 00:30:03 I'll tell you off mic. Who could this be? Does he live in this neighborhood? It's Jake Tapper. Matthew Iglesias. Don't answer that. All right, so we're here on Cuddlist. Oh, that makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Very cool. That makes a lot of sense to me. Nothing has ever made more sense. Yeah, yeah, but don't. I don't want to. We're here on Cuddlist.com. I don't like that they have to wear shirts. It's been listed, apparently, in every major newspaper in America.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And then these are all people's names. That feels invasive. Is this for hiring? Oh, now it's invasive. after we've read everyone's name on this podcast and where they live.
Starting point is 00:30:38 You've clicked the find a cuddlist tab and we're naming cuddlists. Name them. Registered cuddlists. Oh no. You gotta fix
Starting point is 00:30:47 the OBS 2 hot shot. I know, I know. I think it's on the other No, it's on this. Name cuddlists. I guess I want to see a video of what it entails. I think it's just like
Starting point is 00:30:57 someone probably crying and getting hugged. I guess I don't want to see that. There's going to be video on the on the thing though right i want to watch one of those videos where um the reiki people put their hand over a woman's uh chest and she starts like freaking out that seems unrelated i guess it's kind of cuddling those are fun um should we do another question yeah i'll do another
Starting point is 00:31:21 question are we still in space of the week we're too far down the cuddlist hole we've got one more space one more space of the week but i told you this this section is fire this is fine these are family affairs. Can women be attracted to a man with very bad and missing teeth? Sure, why not? Which one? Anglo-spotted. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Sorry. Anglo-spotted. Also, I think this is... Tips for women. It's also tips for women. I'm
Starting point is 00:31:58 attracted to two men right now who have missing and bad teeth. Wow. Damn. Hashtag name them. Hugh Grant. You wish. It's the person George showed us. I wish you were attracted to Hugh Grant. I'm trying to think of hot celebs with no teeth, but
Starting point is 00:32:15 one of the first things that you do when you make it into the golden circle is you fix those right up. Stavros. Yeah, I was about to say, Stavros is cute. Oh, he has missing teeth. He had one missing front tooth. That's true. I guess I just wonder...
Starting point is 00:32:30 Well, he, like, kind of left that out as, like, a joke for a year or two. Well, the thing with Stavros is, like, it's, like, commentary on the idea of missing a tooth. Yeah, he's doing art. He's doing tooth art. He's not insecure about it. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:43 He's like, I dare you. He owns it. Yeah, he owns it. Much like the worm owns the apple. Stupid. All right, so, so far, we're 100% yes on bad and missing teeth. Yeah, I agree with this first person that's like, define bad.
Starting point is 00:32:59 If they're actively rotting, maybe no. She may not fancy kissing him, it says. I'm not hitting the button again, but we know it's an Anglo spot. In fact, here in the UK, many people would prefer that to those artificially straightened and whitened teeth favored by some Americans. It's also like, can women be attracted to a man with missing teeth? The answer is objectively, yes. It is impossible. You can find a woman.
Starting point is 00:33:20 It's a disorder. Yeah. I'm right here. Daku Mono says, if he is tall, yes. If he is tall and white, even better. Daku Mono is racist. That's so funny. Can a woman be attracted to a rotting tooth?
Starting point is 00:33:33 Yeah, if the guy's white. Teeth brown, skin white. It's all about the blood at the end of the day. Unreal. The race of the blood. Dude, this guy's French. Remy Lebeau. Remy Lebeau.
Starting point is 00:33:47 That's a great fake name. I will say my husband for a while had sort of a rotting tooth. And what happened? And I had to be like, you should probably. So you told him to fix it. You weren't like, honey, that's the hottest thing I've ever seen. That's when you locked him down. So you're sort of part of the problem.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah, I guess I am. You have to change in order to get me. In order to get you while already being married. Yeah. From our extremely small sample size, it kind of seems like you need messed up teeth in order to get with women. Also, people with messed up teeth are better kissers, they say. Really? Who is saying this?
Starting point is 00:34:20 I read that into Cosmo when I was 12 years old. Whoa. And it shaped your entire life. Yeah, for real. Cosmo's kind of like a Freaks Quarterly, as I understand it. I think because it's more of an interesting pattern, and you've got to work around it. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:34:38 It's like a go... You know, you're not going to go to... You'd rather go... You'd rather ride around in a go-kart and a fun little... I guess I'm thinking about the experience of making out. but I'm not thinking about how I'm going around someone's teeth. Yeah, it's interesting. You'd rather drive around in a go-kart.
Starting point is 00:34:55 That's what making out is. You're going around somebody's teeth. I guess that's true. You're navigating someone's mouth. I would certainly rather someone have bad teeth than have insane veneers or two white mixed teeth. Your tongue is like Mario. Yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:35:08 And it goes around the teeth. That's cool. I agree it's cool. And it actually seems like we're in a full consensus on this issue. So I'm going to insist we move along because we're still in space of the week and there's even more stuff. This guy Corbin says a hockey player could be an orc
Starting point is 00:35:26 and still have puck bunnies en masse. Okay, click on Corbin real quick. I've never heard that in my life. Let's actually stop everything. Puck bunnies? I don't call women puck bunnies. I've never heard of that. Well, maybe it's a Canadian thing.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Yeah, it must be. He's from Canada. He's a nighttime DJ and he's cool as hell. He's one of the many men who takes pictures of himself in the car right well that's how you get the puck bunnies he plays a lot of video games like star trek online star wars old republic gta online battlefront 2 halo 5 mortal combat 10 and 11 it sounds like seems like someone you guys would know yeah actually yeah i do know corbin quite well he's sci-fi dj yeah he's he's how i first found out about i guess like hockey floozies
Starting point is 00:36:16 Do you follow him on Twitch, Alex? I don't know how to use Twitch. Thank you for saying that. I've always been so confused about what Twitch is. The things Jeremy makes me feel insecure about are they're so digital and cyber world, and I just never feel safe. Puck bunny.
Starting point is 00:36:33 No, the only time I feel safe is in the ice arena surrounded by pucks. It's called a rink. What about a... The ice arena. Gazebo. Gazebo? What are those called?
Starting point is 00:36:44 Zambonis? Yeah, the Zambonis come out. Zambonis. We're talking about the real world right now. Zambonis. Zambonis. Those are the girls who just hook up with the Zamboni driver. They keep me clean.
Starting point is 00:36:57 No matter how fucked up his teeth are. Yeah. I imagine you catch like a puck to the tooth every now and then as a Zamboni driver. They get too eager. They go back on the ice while you're still cleaning. Yeah, they get there early. I'm feeling like hockey players probably worse teeth than most athletes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Yeah. I think that's what Corvin's saying. They get hit right in the mouth. They're still getting puck bunnies, even though their teeth, they make them look like orcs. I'm surprised more people aren't killed by hockey pucks, because whenever I see those flying around, I just think this is unsafe, this is not right.
Starting point is 00:37:28 They're so hard. They're so hard, and they're heavy. Yeah. They're not like little white balls. I don't think they need to be that hard. All right, moving on. Thank you, Corvin Ragar. This is Quarantang, our parenting segment. Okay, family matters and affairs. Fuck, which button is it?
Starting point is 00:37:45 Hold on. It doesn't matter. That's enough. Wow. Nailed it. Why does she do this? My mother makes me uncomfortable telling anyone we meet I am one of her handsome sons. It is gross.
Starting point is 00:37:56 She does it in front of women my age as well as if they even care. How do I explain that she is making me look stupid? So we got a bunch of these. Sorry, I'm right at wrong. There's no commas or anything. No, it's hard to read. There's a plague happening of mothers lying to their sons and telling them they're so handsome.
Starting point is 00:38:16 So she's trying to hook up her son with these women? With Puck Bunnies. With Puck Bunnies. But he doesn't play the game. I look like an orc. Sorry, a man can't call her son handsome? This is woke. Gone too far.
Starting point is 00:38:30 It is kind of woke, gone too far. I agree with that. Go no contact with her. He needs to go no contact with her. She's being toxic. How is no contact the theme of the week? Spent all this time making a theme. It's just no contact the whole time.
Starting point is 00:38:43 I commented, you need to go no contact with her. And I am a dark cowboy. Yeah, stay dark, cowboy. So they're meeting people in real life. They're meeting women at the mall or whatever, at Zoomies. And their mom is there. And she's going, hey, don't hear. This is my handsome son.
Starting point is 00:39:02 I feel like that is sort of annoying. I mean, I don't know. I don't know if that's exactly how it's happening. I think that's exactly how it's happening. I could see her being like, have you met my handsome son? Yeah, it's like something moms say to their friends. It's not like other singles. You know, it's like when someone, a friend introduces me to a normal person,
Starting point is 00:39:22 they're like, this is Claire. She's a really funny comedian. Totally. And I have to be like, hey. Like, there's no way for me to sort of prove it. And so if you're handsome. This is happening to you a lot. People are constantly introducing you as a really funny comedian.
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah, everyone's really always doing that. You should think of a funny thing to do. People always introduce me to go, here's Jeremy. but he sucks at comedy. He fucking sucks. I always get that I'm handsome usually. This is my handsome friend, Alex. We all have issues.
Starting point is 00:39:49 He's married. I mean, I will say the thing with introducing someone as handsome is like to say someone's funny makes sense because they haven't yet said something funny so you're setting expectations. Right. But like either someone's attracted to someone
Starting point is 00:40:02 or they're not. The fact that I'm like, this is my handsome son is not going to make a woman be like, oh, now that you mention it, I guess he is handsome. I guess your mother loves you. Maybe it is.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Maybe it's like you're planting a little seed and you're like, well, I didn't think that at first, but now that you use the word. It's the game. I'm trying to fit you into the word. It's kind of pickup artistry for moms. Poor moms need to get red pills. And they're like, this is my ugly, fucking useless son. Hey, bitch, this is my son.
Starting point is 00:40:31 They're establishing contact. They're touching your thigh. You could never date him. You're probably not good enough for my handsome son. We have some answers by John Bowley here. Okay, read it. John says, I have three daughters, and I always refer to them collectively or individually as beautiful. Is it because I want to make them feel stupid or because I love them and are proud of them?
Starting point is 00:40:53 When this affront to your dignity occurred next, I suggest you force the goofiest grin onto your face, bat your eyelashes five or six times, and sigh. You won't be stupid. You'll be charming and confident. This second half of this post really took a silly turn. I was not expecting. It's like, okay, your mom's saying you're handsome. You do a little like...
Starting point is 00:41:14 Yeah, sure. It's cute. I think that's fun. Yeah, why don't you play along with your mom some more? She brought you into this world. Yeah. What is questions you're too afraid to ask? This is a different space. We have to save that for later. Save that. Richard Johnson says, I assume you still live with her or else
Starting point is 00:41:30 I don't think you'd feel embarrassed. Next time she does that just laugh playfully and say, oh mom, you're too kind. No need to feel embarrassed. Everyone's on the same page here. How about you be nice to your mom for once in your life She raised you How about you talk to her instead of going to Quora You don't want her to say you're handsome
Starting point is 00:41:47 This is Hex Hex again This is from Hex Hex Hex Hex your mother loves you You're 29 You're getting younger every day in a Benjamin Button scenario So he just hates that his mom loves him so much Yeah because she's biologically required He can't grow any muscles
Starting point is 00:42:03 He's three feet tall His mom loves him too much If he did grow the muscles, it would look bad. Oh, poor Hex Hex. Let's do another question. He's all over this place. Hex Hex, you are loved. Everyone deserves to be loved by their mother.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Okay, this is not Hex Hex. Wait, this is, I'm sorry, I just say a really funnily worded question. Really? My son just got 50 years in prison. Is he cooked? Yo. Croc!
Starting point is 00:42:31 Is my son cooked? I think your son is cooked, dog. Is my son crashing out? Yeah, he is cooked. That sounds bad. If that's not cooked, I don't know what is. Also, what did he get? That's a great question.
Starting point is 00:42:45 If you know, if it's like a three strike laws kind of state, it could just be a hard punishment due to frequent recurrence. Sure. He could be framed. He's framed for murder. I assume he's framed for murder because this is a long sentence and I want to be on the son's side. otherwise you raised a murderer
Starting point is 00:43:06 I'm a little bit like I think he's probably convicted of something pretty bad otherwise the mom would be like it was just like a you know marijuana conviction I sort of think he did do something bad he wasn't just crashing out I like the idea of a mom saying is he cooked
Starting point is 00:43:23 because mothers cook someone says yeah cooked like a chicken dinner did about 18 months in county jail this guy's like going to this grieving mother Got her. This is from Richard Saywell, who did 18 months in county jail. Staring at that type of time,
Starting point is 00:43:40 one may be better off running to Mexico and starting a new life unless you plan on going to the Lord's. This is my favorite trend on Quora, I think, is that when people find out you're going to jail, they start in detail encouraging you to run away. Yeah. They're like, here's how you could do it.
Starting point is 00:43:53 You got to go out to sea, but not at the places that they usually check. He says, even running and living life homeless in a big city is better than doing life. Is that true? I think about this a lot. I don't know if that is true. I think if I was like stuck homeless, would I just go to jail?
Starting point is 00:44:08 Yes. Yeah. I don't know though because when you're in there, you might be like, what was I thinking? Depends on what jail you go to, I guess. If it's a good jail, if it's a fun jail. You go to like Rikers or something. If it's like a Chuck E. Cheese style jail. If you're in Norway.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Yeah. Yeah. Go to Norway. Get to Norway and commit a crime. They give you PlayStation. It's safer boys and girls. Yeah. Get your passport and go to the airport if you're thinking of a crime.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Tell them your legal name and get on the plane. This guy, Miles, seems to know something we don't. Oh, yes. You neglect to point out that he was trying to find guilty and he's now going to pay for something he... Oh, he doesn't. It started so confident that I was like, wow, he knows the crime.
Starting point is 00:44:45 No, it sounds like Miles is just gloating in the fact this guy's going to jail. It starts with cooked? Yes. He cooked himself. He really pissed... The way this is written is so... He cooked himself.
Starting point is 00:44:57 He really pissed off society somehow and now he will pay, says Miles. Someone says, I don't believe this is real because I don't believe anyone old enough to have a son that is old enough to do 50 straight would use Gen Z slang like cooked. I actually, obviously, that's correct. But I actually disagree with that because the son can be young and be sentenced to 50 years. Oh, yeah. The son can be like 19 and the parent could be 37.
Starting point is 00:45:22 How old was Damien when he committed his many crimes? That's right. He convinced that teacher to kill herself. She jumped off the roof. Now, all the comments here are people who are, like, in their 40s and 50s being like, fuck you, we said that phrase all the time in 1973. When I was in a gang, we cooked our many enemies with our jazz doo-wop. I agree.
Starting point is 00:45:44 I think this is a joke post, but I did really like it. I think it's good, and I think your son is cooked. I look forward to screenshotting this and posting it on social media. Here's a picture of a guy on a computer, and he's a troll. It's a troll using a laptop. Isn't that fun? I feel like it's much harder to run away from the cop, like your prison sentence, than they're making it.
Starting point is 00:46:06 It is hard. They're saying you might as well try because you're going to go to jail for life. Yeah. You have nothing to lose. I guess you have nothing to lose. Yeah, you might as well run. Here's another question. Do Indian moms have bottomless in homes?
Starting point is 00:46:18 Move bottomless in homes. Move bottomless in homes. Sorry. Do Indian moms move bottomless in homes? This is a family affair. Thoughts? So they're not wearing pants kind of thing? Yeah, they're Winnie the Pooh-ing it, they're saying.
Starting point is 00:46:31 They're Donald Duck-ing it. They're Donald Duck-ing it. They're like the animal kingdom at home. Important context is that, what, 75% of Quora is Indian? Right. Really? Not really that many, but a lot. I think it's the biggest of any group, of any nationality.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Interesting conflation here. It's a lot of Indian and UK users. Yeah. And I wonder if there's like the old empire emerging in the form of Quora. To Australia, where boys and girls are safe. The Dutch East Indian Tea Company. It gets very hot in many parts of India, so it wouldn't be outrageous to move bottomless in a home.
Starting point is 00:47:07 But it is, I guess, illegal if you're exposing yourself to children. Alex, you visited India with your family as a child? Yes. Did your mom move bottomless? My mother did not, but she was visiting. Okay. And none of the people who kept us were bottomless at any point. You lived in India?
Starting point is 00:47:23 No, I just visited for like a week. With his parents. Yeah, my parents were doing parent stuff. It's a whole, you know, it's not interesting. No, now I'm interested. Well, they were doing a vaccine clinic. Oh, oh. Because they were doctors,
Starting point is 00:47:39 and so they were going to go into the rural areas and do a vaccine clinic. And then we did it for like a few days, but then our guide got sick, and it wasn't safe for us to go to the areas we were going without a guide. And so we just kind of chilled for a while, but everyone got very sick.
Starting point is 00:47:54 How old were you? I was 17. Damn. Yep. Pretty cool, huh? Wow, so your parents were actually doing like God's work. They were, and it was God's plan. And now I've become the comeuppance here
Starting point is 00:48:06 using my Indian knowledge to answer this Quora question. And the answer is sometimes. I would like to read the answers by Ayushka Sharma. Please. Who is a former rejuvenate soul, helps people build personality. Me too. Helps people build personality?
Starting point is 00:48:22 Oh my God, I need to get in touch. Ms. Sharma, I'd like to hear you out. What does bottomless mean? They don't leave their buttocks elsewhere and then move around in the homes. What a stupid question. Go off, dude. Nor do they move around nude in the house. Only thing is that Indian moms very often don't feel the need to wear either the petticoat under the sari
Starting point is 00:48:43 or they may not wear the sari over the petticoat. I've come across Indian moms who generally are in petticoats but move around the house without a sari. Now, you pervert, you're happy. Cheers! And then the cheers emoji. Beast mode. She fucking went off. They're not bottomless, but it's like saying sometimes a mom
Starting point is 00:49:02 doesn't wear a blazer and just wears a shirt. Right. That's not well-related to what she's bottomless. You're happy. Cheers. I like this related question. Do you want to read Sneha? Can you show more pictures of your mom and aunts? No, not to you. I'm not clicking it. You've had enough.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Can you? Can I read more answers? Yeah, of course. okay oh god that's a gnarly question uh this is sneha uh sneha says i think it is common in india i mean she is the boss to the house so i don't think this is an appropriate question laughing out loud and she's a software you engineer at ubisoft it says dream job sneha dream job my mom sometimes walk around sorry my mom sometimes walk bottomless in home mostly she wear a panty under her courtier t-shirt and sometimes she only wear a long t-shirt
Starting point is 00:49:51 and wear nothing down early morning and at night she usually does walk bottomless at home and only a few people has seen her this way. I'm just sorry. This person's bio is home nudist. So it's like yeah, your mom is going to be walking around. Talk about she's not wearing anything. She's everything less. So her question
Starting point is 00:50:07 I am. This is a pervert. Yeah, I am a 25 year old girl. Can I go to pee removing my panties in a room and in front of whoever is in the room? Sure. This is a 50 year old bad yeah this is not i'm not trusting answers about like different cultural phenomena from this person well yeah uh she quote unquote answered this question have you ever seen your mom when she was peeing she says yes many times i'm a 25 year old girl but my mom makes me bathe every day so i'll bathe sometimes this is not real it's definitely a 25 year old girl it's so
Starting point is 00:50:40 It's beautiful how all cultures do this same thing on Quora, where they pretend to be a young woman who pees. They write their own little pee poem. All people across the world. Yeah. It's kind of beautiful. We are all one. We're all holding hands and peeing.
Starting point is 00:50:57 We're all harmed by the bad men. Well, this is like pee in a sexual thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's just, it's all natural. It's all natural. Can I get naked in my room and go to pee in the washroom?
Starting point is 00:51:09 We're not ready for that. We don't need to read it. The answer is sometimes. Let me see how much we've been recording this podcast for. It's been seven minutes. That's about right. Seven minutes, Jeremy. We do have a good question at the end.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Right. Somebody wrote in. Here's another question. How many moms are shaved by their sons, and do moms shave their sons in return? What the hell? The AI has answered this question. I have never been shaved by my mom.
Starting point is 00:51:36 I want to go out there and say that. No. I don't even get the people who trust the barber to shave them. It seems like so vulnerable. No, no, no. And this one is the sons are shaving their moms. How many moms are shaved by their sons and do moms shave their sons in return? A little tit for tat.
Starting point is 00:51:51 I remember this very specifically. One time I went to a water park with my friend's family and he wouldn't put sun lotion on his mother's back. So I had to. Oh, my God. This is the beginning of like a porn. We were like 14. I was like I remember the whole time
Starting point is 00:52:07 being like don't make me do this man you gotta step up for this one man and she was just like come help cause she was gonna burn she was gonna burn
Starting point is 00:52:15 to a crisp that is so I mean the politics of back sun lotion are complicated yeah it's such an intimate thing
Starting point is 00:52:23 sometimes you have to do it to like a new acquaintance because you're at the beach together yeah like you have to do it to your dad
Starting point is 00:52:30 your son's friend don't do that I was over a lot I was over a lot the way where I could tell she didn't really mind asking me, and it wasn't too crazy, but it was like, you should be doing it. You seem like the kind of guy who would give anyone a back lotion. I don't want anyone to burn. I don't want anybody to cook out there.
Starting point is 00:52:51 It is not safe. Should we read the AI answer? Yeah, I guess so. The idea of moms shaving their sons or vice versa is not a common practice and typically isn't something that is documented or studied in a statistical set. So A.I.A. is cooked. Thank you, the computer.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Is my friend's mom cooked by the sun? Can you imagine someone pouring water out as they answer, do moms shave their sons? It says the behavior can vary greatly based on cultural norms. Wow, thank you so much, Assistant Gorobot. Yeah, pretty conservative answer there. Not very bold.
Starting point is 00:53:25 I wouldn't let anyone shave me. You can't shave me. What if it was like someone's fetish? Am I getting paid? What if it was this guy with bad teeth? Yeah, somebody with really bad teeth, Claire. Is he paying me? Teeth like a playground.
Starting point is 00:53:39 You know about this story that Alicia Cat told on that Vice show about she hooked up with a famous actor. No. But before they hooked up, he insisted on shaving her. Well, okay. But that is like, that's sexual. That's like a fetish thing. intimate yeah that's better than shaving your mom that's that's shave play you're right you're
Starting point is 00:54:04 right you're right i mean unless she was like i don't want that and he was like no i'm shaving you mommy i'm taking your hair yeah oh wait and who did it turn out to be brad pitt oh whoa wait he's weird wait is that confirmed this is a real hearsay situation age gap wasn't age gap she dating Brad Pitt at one point? Probably. I think that was a rumor. I think they like
Starting point is 00:54:29 hung out as friends. I saw a picture of them together. Yeah, yeah. No, I think they were like friends because they're both sort of like smart
Starting point is 00:54:36 and into architecture. Yeah. And now she's with the clown. Which one? Dr. Brown. I don't know about this. I gotta look up my clowns.
Starting point is 00:54:44 He's a professional clown. He's a professional. You wouldn't know him. He's from the clown circus. Is he hot? Yeah. He's a sexual clown. He's a hot clown?
Starting point is 00:54:51 Dr. Brown? Dr. Brown the sexy clown? His clown name. This is a minefield. Do you guys see where I'm coming from about not wanting a barber to shave you? Because that's very common, too. I don't really care.
Starting point is 00:55:04 I don't know. I haven't had it done. I think that's cool when they did that. It's so easy to Sweeney Todd my ass. That's the thing. It's stressful. When you grow up with the imagery of Sweeney Todd, it's really tough to allow someone to take a knife to your neck.
Starting point is 00:55:15 From our community, being people who have seen Sweeney Todd, or even the trailer, do not threaten to shave me. I have trauma. is only shaved by bad men who insist that he shave his pubes. Bad men create strong shaves.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Strong shaves create good men. I don't know. I got a little confused there. Let's do our listener question and then close this out. We got very stuck on the space this week, but it was a beautiful one. It was a beautiful space. Is that okay?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Welcome to Is That Okay? These are our listener questions. Please write in Quarriors at gmail.com with your questions for us. Hey, Quarriors. What's the line between snarking and gang stalking? My wife is part of a Reddit that, like, snarks on a YouTube mom fluencer. But when her neighbor is coming out, talking to her, and then going and talking to the Reddit, is that gang stalking things?
Starting point is 00:56:20 Whoa. It's a community that— What is snarking? well i do know that like specifically with momfluencers and stuff there's like very active reddit communities that are called like mom snark or like new york influencers oh sure and it's like everyone just like dragging all these kind of social media influencers mostly women oh and i think but i also sort of think not to victim blame but it's like that feeds into the notoriety that a lot of these people have because their entire existence is responding to controversies basically
Starting point is 00:56:54 what was her name conway claudia conway caroline caroline calloway say her name i mean honestly say her name and honestly it's so much worse now like she seems quaint in comparison to she just wanted a book deal really as far as i understand she also like i mean i think she's whatever kind of cuckoo but there's there was something like performance art slash like campy about her whole vibe whereas there's something so like dead-eyed and kind of machiavellian about a lot of the current influencers in a scary way and sometimes they're robbing a bank or something is their end goal which is that's where we keep all of our money and i need it to be safe having just heard of this phenomenon of snarking just now i would say if you are bothering someone in real life
Starting point is 00:57:39 with a community of people that is what the concept of gang stalking is quite literally gang stalking so maybe it's just like if you're pro gang stalking this is the fun thing you call it but you know it might be the same thing if this is you're just like a mom's gang you're a gang of moms you're stalking moms you know i it's i get into these holes of like being obsessed with some gay guy that i think is annoying and i just have to say like you have to resist it like nothing good will come of snarking like even if it's temporarily uh a release to be like god i'm glad i found a community of people who think this person's annoying it's not good it's a poison pill spiritually bad yeah it is poison it's in the negative community you should be in a love
Starting point is 00:58:24 community yeah that's right community go watch a film watch bridget jones's diary check out gladiator instead bridge jones's diary two i recently saw both of these movies is that strange this is these are like new films to me i also love in that movie where they're like she's so fat yeah she's disgusting gross pig cow yeah that didn't i don't know if like that was a joke at the time or just aged very strangely but uh i haven't seen it you know women go through so much and that's what this episode's been about george thanks so much for coming on it's been a thrill having you here where can our listeners find you at home and abroad oh yes you can follow me at George Severus
Starting point is 00:59:07 on all platforms. I have a podcast called Stradio Lab with Sam Taggart and that's it. This is George. This is where he is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:17 I have a special coming out but I have no idea when so I can't promote it yet. Was it filmed yet? Yes, it was filmed and I just got a rough cut. Peek behind the curtain. So we know it's been filmed.
Starting point is 00:59:26 So we know it's been filmed. Yeah, I just, I don't know why I even said that. I actually can't promote it. So everybody, keep your ear to the ground. Do you know what it's called? I do, but I mean, I could literally premiere the title on this podcast.
Starting point is 00:59:40 We would love that, George. Okay, it's most likely going to be called George Severus, A Sense of Urgency. You heard it here first. A Sense of Urgency. It's at Walmart. It's never not going to be available for like six months. Very erotic title, considering. I know, considering it's not available.
Starting point is 00:59:56 Get the vinyl at Walmart. It's $100. I just felt like I had to promote something. Everyone is logged off at this point. Yeah, I look at the numbers on YouTube. As soon as we play the theme song, it goes like, no one cares. My favorite is when people are just like, I'm on Facebook. You can find me.
Starting point is 01:00:14 You can find me in the real world. But we have bonus episodes every Thursday on patreon.com slash coordinators, so you could get even more of the show. Wouldn't that be something? I really would. We recently went on the New York Post for a full hour, and it gave me brain damage, so check that out. And that's going to be us for this week, lover.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Thank you so much. Bye. Question everything.
