Starting point is 00:00:00 dearly beloved we've returned to the Corators podcast America's premier Quora based podcast I hope so and I'm your host Alex how's it going with jeremy no claire today no claire claire decided to join the idf don't say that people will believe you she shipped up she said it's time to do my part people will believe you it's i didn't approve i tried to stop her i grew up in jewish areas of long island i know many people who have left to join as far as i can tell the idf is mostly your neighbors yeah i'm constantly arguing with my mom
Starting point is 00:00:50 who's like my friend's daughter joined the idf and i'm like that's evil and she's like done that She's just a makeup artist. That doesn't make it better. She gives them fake tears. Yeah, that's right. That's what it is. It's a valuable role. She's a cum extractor.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Oh, well, well, well. That's an expression you'll be hearing quite a bit today because we have a special guest from all the way across the pond in California of the United States. It is, of course, the world-famous Libby Watson. Libby? Hi. Thanks so much for having me.
Starting point is 00:01:24 um i think i should start telling people that i'm across the pond actually just start lying just start saying i'm in britain just for a laugh who's to say it's a flexible lie it's a flexible phrase like you can just say it to mean any body of water so yeah oh so like someone who lives uh let's say in wisconsin might might say someone in canada is across the pond yeah across several lakes maybe we're one of the great ponds i love the lake is more a pond than the ocean is if we want to get real about it facts i do want to get real i'm glad we tackled this right away because i wrote it down in my notes did you really ocean not a pond and i was like how am i going to get there but it actually was quite seamless um i just did it yeah so good i am at podcasting i just knew
Starting point is 00:02:10 exactly where you wanted to go just took us right there and that was lake michigan was where we wanted to go point a for the show um now we should get this out of the way let me host what's all this then which is a podcast about the uk and its expanded territories and uh domains is that correct yeah pretty much it's uh it's a podcast about different bits of britain my friend uh charlotte and co-host um she lives in toronto and i live in la and uh we both grew up in england and left and we've sort of forgotten about a lot of it really um it's been a while um don't remember really what it's like living there um so i couldn't think of two better people to host a podcast about britain and uh fun topics such as uh what a mushy piece oh yes what else have we done
Starting point is 00:02:58 stuff like that it's a show that takes you home yes if home is is in england specifically and now with that one and mushy piece and all that that's what they're jogging on about over there but it's important that we cover this up front because we have a button um that we happen to hit every single episode um when we go on quora and we find an english person uh that lets the audience know we found an english person and uh if i did that today we would be doing it every 15 seconds for a full hour so i'm just going to do it now and that will cover the gamut right for the show great anglo spotted anglo spotted for the hour yeah it's just this hour of anglo being spotted don't write in about it that was it don't say alex missed one that's the whole thing
Starting point is 00:03:51 this time do people do you missed one yeah they do and they get mad when i spot an australian and i hit them it's confusing to me yeah we got big trouble for doing anglo spotted on a scottish person was whatever yeah you can't do that you can't do that one okay have you ever done it on an irish person certainly i don't think we have on irish people i don't know You're going to stop doing the podcast if that happens. That's it for you. It's a confusing website. I don't know what I'm looking at most of the time.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Blame Quora, not on the British and Irish. I will blame Quora. Okay. In this specific context, I will routinely blame Quora. Today's theme is, of course, full English. We're going to dig in and have a little bite of all of the fine dishes we come across. Lovely. Have you been on Quora.com?
Starting point is 00:04:41 you know actually i was thinking we did do one segment of our podcast we do a thing called british thought of the week um and uh it's it's stuff like you know how do they make scotch eggs things like that um but uh we did for fourth of july last year it was sort of really an american thought of the week which was do british people celebrate fourth of july um which is a really really stupid question that i have been asked many times what so do you guys do fourth of july or why the fuck would we do fourth of july well you know what it could be a day of mourning also in the u.s we celebrate all sorts of uh wars that we've lost people are like we did not win that well we have a lot of them yeah that's true yeah and you know that would be like our main one i think um no
Starting point is 00:05:30 people don't notice it at all but uh we read a lot of quora posts of uh americans asking this this question um what do you all do for fourth of july and unbelievably uh bitter and pathetic british people saying no we don't think about you at all you're horrible to us we never do that because we think you're disgusting um which was uh you know nice we would never befoul our calendar with a bank holiday for you yeah yeah there we go bank holiday i'll write that one down write that down and that's in the notes and i'm crossing it off and we're gonna get right into the show so quora um if you are uh familiar with the website they it's pretty much reddit plus facebook and so their adaptation of the reddit subreddit which is of course where you can go
Starting point is 00:06:18 together a bunch of questions on one like topic is represented in the quora space so we have an english space pulled up for our space of the week segment space of the week we're on british royal family fans oh my god okay before we say anything can we talk about this header image please it's like what what i would describe this as is british blingy yeah it's it's so it's the word royalty with written in like a script spot with several crowns? All kinds of crowns. It's actually like three or four crowns repeated
Starting point is 00:07:00 a lot. I'm looking at the crowns and I'm wondering which one is it? Oh, sure. Which one's the, what does the crown actually look like? Okay, do you want me to tell you? I do want you to tell me. I thought it was the red one. One of these red fuckers. Yeah, yeah. So the ones that's on the left and the right here, that is closest, I would say,
Starting point is 00:07:15 to, I was going to say Her Majesty, but here's the thing is it's not Her Majesty anymore. That's right. It's His Majesty. And I've never adapted. I'll never let ago since that dark day yeah oh that's awful that gloomy afternoon yes we're all standing outside you know like in the movies when people are standing outside a tv shop and watching tv shop yeah what i was doing it was like watching the telly it was like children of men for me when the queen died yeah i started driving through the countryside and there was just a pile of
Starting point is 00:07:49 cow was burning and i knew that she was my baby diego this one this crown looks like it's princess peach i feel like that's just well she's a princess that's true she's a princess she has a british royal could easily be of britain and we should say before before we dive into this space jeremy i need you to treat the crown with more reverence i'm so sorry while we're in british royal family fans i don't want to be cursing at much respect to princess peach we could get a a nightstick in the back we do act like that on here now there are 62 000 followers on this space which is a huge chorus space because these normally have like 300 people in them um and there's 200 contributors which i assume all work in the castle i was gonna say is that a normal
Starting point is 00:08:34 ratio to have 62 000 followers but only 200 contributors that's about normal sometimes there's only like five yeah sometimes it's just like one guy going off those are kind of the best ones honestly maybe you can explain the nomenclature a little bit a contributor that's not just anyone who's ever posted on there right that's someone who's an expert well i mean couldn't say definitely not the word expert is what i would use um uh uh someone of note i think it's just someone who's allowed to post i think you're not allowed to post in here if you're not a contributor and you have to like i don't know i press follow here and maybe i can like apply to contribute we've never done this before okay but you'd have to you'd have to submit a request what is our
Starting point is 00:09:18 request do you want me to write this for you yeah what's our argument uh hello mate uh i'd be bloody chuffed if you'd have a go at letting me contribute to this um let's think what's the He's typing as fast as he can. This well-lush space for proper minted fans of our lord. No, not our lord. Jesus Christ. Of our top bloke. Of our top bloke.
Starting point is 00:09:56 That's really good. The king. The king. Oh, could you remove the H on have? So it's have-a-go? have a go just to show that we were not like americans or anything okay they're never gonna know and cool all right well hopefully that they'll let us in by the end of this one this episode they'll have 218 contributors
Starting point is 00:10:15 and it will be a simple down swim to get to the markles space hold on sorry i see suggested spaces to follow here his majesty's realms and it says that the description is balanced discussion of uk politics okay the monarchy and women world leaders this may be a better place to go than the british royal family fans i'm interested in checking it out british royal family fans the only thing i saw on there that was extra noteworthy was they seem to still dislike princess diana yeah yes they spit on her well her memory i really like the graphic design in it there's like some really interesting stuff going on in the right that's like straight from 1994 Again, very blingy, yes.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Yeah. They've actually bred the line for graphic design over centuries. Some really weird caricatures going on over here. Some sort of racial stuff. That's not good. A little bit racial. Yeah, the hoop earrings is crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:14 We should mention we are looking at a picture of Meghan Markle and her husband, who is Prince Harry. Yes. Prince Harry, and they seem to be, well, they're presented as. Yeah, it's hard to tell because he is drawn to look like some sort of rat. Yeah, an oaf of some kind. Well, you know who he looks like is Wallace. Wallace?
Starting point is 00:11:34 Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Of Wallace and Gromit. Who is this gentleman? Which one, this guy? This bespeckled gentleman. Which one are you looking at? There's a very pockmarked young man. This guy?
Starting point is 00:11:45 Yeah, yeah, yeah, the little, the Hans Molman guy. And he's hugging Prince Harry. Yeah. And I'd like to know his backstory. Is that something the website offers? He's not wearing glasses. Is that the Duke of Cambridge? I think this is just an old man that he's hugging.
Starting point is 00:12:02 He's an old man who's so, so happy to be finally meeting. Oh, bloody wills. Lovely wills. You defend the territory. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's okay. It's just an old man. Praised for heartfelt hug.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Oh, I wish I'd get praised for a heartfelt hug. I know. Old men never cry when they hug me. Whoa. I give out great hugs, too. This is just a guy. i'm a father he's an emotional resident okay that's an emotion yes an emotional honestly what he is is a british royal family fan yeah that's right that's right he's he's drawing harry to
Starting point is 00:12:35 look like the rat we used to have british royal family fans now we have only fans oh yes what happened to this bloody country so the time we used to have hope jobs and cash as well that's so true uh r.i.p to all of them uh i'm just on his majesty's realms yeah and uh i really like this pinned post curling is not just for commoners see this is discourse i would like to explore this i think this is because uh i don't know the royals are are curling they were having a laugh they were doing a bit of curling and um looking great doing it you know they're just like us yeah they're somewhat pulling my tit aren't they that's really something no points for that one that's a shame we'll have to try again but uh this post is written by a teacher in the united
Starting point is 00:13:26 states too so i wouldn't expect him to really know you know what what coo curling is for either it's so crazy to me to be an american royal family fan it's really depraved else how have you gotten there because at least british people have the excuse of growing up with i don't know parents who have been similarly indoctrinated for the last 800 years or whatever but how do you get there from living in florida yeah for real living in america right now it really routinely feels like the one thing we have you know as conditions degrade in real time and you know life expectancy drops is that there isn't a queen and there's never a queen yes and we're founded on the fact that there will never be a queen
Starting point is 00:14:11 and then to have a guy being like, I like a robe. It's just, it spits on the whole idea. It's our only accomplishment, really. Yeah, yeah. You're not going to catch this guy at a no-kings protest, for sure. Oh, certainly. He's probably at the kings protest.
Starting point is 00:14:26 He's at the yes-kings protest. Yes, go off, kings. One king at least protest. Actually, just one, or else it's a war that tears the nation asunder. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We've had a bad time with that before. Okay, is there anything else on His Majesty's realms? Let me go to questions.
Starting point is 00:14:43 I normally like spending a lot of time on the space, but we have a lot of good questions, too. Yeah, these are all just whatever. I don't want to read too much about these people just asking. What do you like about King Charles? I would love to know that. Could we click on it and find out? Because I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Les Reed, who is a former vehicle examiner, says that he seems to be reasonably well-balanced with regard to the welfares of others. Oh, yeah. He's a top bloke. This answer here from Maria, question too specific and direct. What? Downvote for you, Maria.
Starting point is 00:15:12 I'm going to say not satisfied. I didn't. Oh, and Kelly Gassaway, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona, says nothing. That is a true American patriot. Yes, that's right. Yes. This is the correct response. Kelly, you're doing it right.
Starting point is 00:15:24 She mostly wants to talk about WWE. I don't know how she ended up in the royal space. This is what we're like. We're like Kelly. we'll give kelly a follow we'll be your seventh follower oh man how mad were you guys when the french helped us get out of there huh okay i'm sorry but did you see who else she was the other followers yeah so we're one of seven reeves inbox keanu reeves private page keanu reeves yeah i don't think that's really him to fake keanu reeves keanu reeves has more than 13
Starting point is 00:15:57 followers on quora for sure well are you sure that keanu reeves isn't uh former actors at actor parenthesis short film short film famous short film actor that's that's how you can tell because his films are quite long often you don't think he's posting on quora how do i look a heart emoji and then a selfie i've seen him in point break i would love someone to investigate why it is that keanu reeves seems to be the most popular one of these actors that these like you know scammer catfishing accounts do because you see a lot of you know unfortunate old ladies you know thinking they're tweeting with uh it's you know i think jennifer aniston is kind of the female equivalent in this case what is it about keanu i mean i know he's i know he's lovely but what is
Starting point is 00:16:39 it about keanu i think that's it well us americans as debased dogs um we don't have a royal family to worship so the closest we have are celebrities and so keanu who i believe was orphaned at a young age and his wife died tragically yeah he has all these like tragic backstory and he's supposedly really nice in person and so it it's like having a just and dutiful king right to have keanu around and he's quite handsome if you kill his dog he will kill a hundred people he'll kill like yeah a million russian guys seemingly unrelated yes so we really value that that's kind of the only thing we've got going on right now is just how much we hate russian guys oh oh no this one's awful how can i get a message i'll talk to you on a video call that's from private page that's
Starting point is 00:17:31 someone asking him i think or i don't know that it said that was his question this is trying to reach out hold on hold on hold on hold on we should read this this is from jolo ren on the question it says all caps this is a fake account none of the keanu reeves accounts are real this is not keanu reeves and that's a public service announcement do you feel like that was communicated well to you, Alex. Yeah, say thank you to them. Because he's the director of communications. Perfect for the position. Communicated as clearly as possible, I would say.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I will not be wasting my time here. And this guy lives in the UK, but we're not going to press the button. We've already pressed it. Let's do questions. Let's do some real questions. I believe we are starting with our romance questions in the famous segment, Quor Romance.
Starting point is 00:18:21 uk edition this question is what is a full-blown snog means yes here we go i think they should have to say where they heard the phrase i want to know where this person heard full-blown snog and why they wanted to know the answer to it that's what i think i think you should have to provide a source for your question i have half a mind to wash their mouth out with soap using words like this where'd you hear that where'd you pick that one up that's exactly what i'm thinking who told you this which which nasty little boy at school told you this did your sister say that why your sister i don't know she's a bad influence thinking it weird i'm drawing for i have a daughter and i'm imagining that okay she might tell someone about a snob one day you have another
Starting point is 00:19:10 child that's when she's getting sold if you're your daughter that's the line for me i can look up who you're in a cabinet sending it away for yeah i okay i think i've brought this up on the show before i listened to oh my god why am i spacing on his name uh uh austin powers dad what please help me out with this awesome warren michaels dad i don't know no in gold member michael cain's autobiography yes um jesus christ his first movie he's like a charming uh pickup man where he picks up all kinds of ladies and is quite rude to them right and it's called alfie and they've remade it with jude law but that's besides the point the point is uh he describes his whole life and goes into detail on being in batman at length and as a part in the beginning where he's
Starting point is 00:19:59 discussing world war ii and he's like when i was a boy i was kept in the cabinet for three months and then that's it moves on no more information about that you okay you sort of think that maybe you would front load that maybe maybe he front loaded it in the book proposal but then in the final draft he was like i actually don't want to talk about that i want to talk about all this batman stuff that i think is interesting yeah he has a lot more to say about the craft sure yeah the beautiful art of acting yeah well tell us about the cabinet mate what was it like in there was it dark it sure was that's how you make a michael cade is you put him in a cabinet it's the only way to get that it provides a certain darkness it's literally bane
Starting point is 00:20:38 that's basically what happens to bane right yeah that is what happens to bane yeah i was bald in the cabinet it kept me next to the biscuits biscuits one point very good yes nice dude yes man oh man probably the worst thing that could happen for our podcast which is that quora seems to be down that that's not allowed let's just let's just make it up or we could just go long on what a full-blown snog is yeah it's just a full hour on what that means i gotta say my greatest fears we're doing a live show in this house yeah and it's almost come up before it's true um well the next question is also about a snog because there's a whole discussion should we read any answers is snog a word that people actually use or is it a full uh jk rowling ism
Starting point is 00:21:30 no it is it is a word that people use at least when i was growing up um i gotta say it is it is almost hard to remember sometimes uh which british words i actually use which ones are sort of jokes but that one i believe people people really snogging behind the bike sheds is a big one behind that's how everyone gets to class it's just making out right yeah it's kind of one of i I think it may be my favorite British slang because it's an onomatopoeia. Oh. Maybe the way you're doing it.
Starting point is 00:21:58 When you're kissing, it's like, snog, snog. I know. I completely concur. It is a little bit. Yeah, I just tried it yesterday. It was just like that. You were making out?
Starting point is 00:22:07 Yeah, it was heavy petting. Just to see what sound I made, and it was snog. For listeners, it is the day of their Valentine's Day. Yeah, happy Valentine's if you're listening, by the way. Oh, it's my mom's birthday. I did not say happy birthday to her. I'm just remembering.
Starting point is 00:22:24 Well, everything's down. Cora's down. My relationship with my mother is down. Is it Cora or is it the whole internet? Well, we're talking to Libby pretty easily. Oh, that's a good point. We are talking on the internet, yeah. I just thought Libby lived in there.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I don't know, man. Not the cabinet, but... Oh, that's Michael Caine. The computer, yeah, yeah. It's what made him want to be Batman's butler. All right, go back to the question, Doc, here. Although, actually, we have an extensive answer by Sajeev. Yeah, read this answer first as we wait for Quora to start working again.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Sajeev Rajan has answered on what is a full-blown snog, and he has a beautiful picture of an old woman hiking with rugs on her back that I'm excited to get to at the bottom of this post. He says, a full-on kiss, which can also be described as a big kiss. One can be a long kiss, and which may involve the use of tongues as well. sometimes all you need is to be a kiss to be to be kissed like you've never been kissed before to be kissed with such passion and vigor that the world stops turning for a brief moment and then a smiley face and then a winky face
Starting point is 00:23:35 and oh and then a quote by herman hess who is is that a nazi oh i don't know Is it? I mean, it could just be a German name. I'm assuming it's not a Nazi. I think not. I think there was a Hess, but it's not this one. I'm thinking of Rudolf Hess. Rudolf Hess is definitely a guy. Herman's a normal one.
Starting point is 00:23:56 He's kind of that bad reindeer. This guy died in the 60s. He was in Germany. Okay, well, he was there, so not 100% wrong. Yeah, yeah, he was probably doing something. Yeah, I mean, your silence is violence, Herman. Unless you got locked up, buddy. You're taking the L on this one.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Yeah, what cupboard were you in, motherfucker? I want to see the cupboard. We're here on Herman Hesse's wiki. Hey, everyone. This is Jeremy from the future. I'm editing the podcast right now. I just wanted to let you know that I did end up looking up if Herman Hesse is a Nazi. And it did turn out that he was a lifelong pacifist.
Starting point is 00:24:33 And he died in neutral Switzerland. And he was a critic of Nazism his entire life. So, my bad. Sorry about that, Mr. Hesse. Please accept my apology On behalf of all Jewish people And weather report It's quite nice out
Starting point is 00:24:51 Although there is going to be a blizzard tomorrow So wear a hat Quora is not working Wait there's more to the Kisnog answer I know I know We're not done reading What if you close all the Quora tabs You know like to track the browser
Starting point is 00:25:07 Because it is working on my phone What if we close our eyes Yeah to me sometimes and it's like it's like the computer's playing a joke on you it feels like it's it's it appears to be having a laugh it's having a it's having a laugh and you know what it is is it's taking the piss it really is taking the piss out of us you have to log into quora uh it's the worst website it's a bad website it's really really bad we're paying the money now how do i how do i fucking how do i clear cookies on this shit oh see it's not so fun to not know
Starting point is 00:25:38 how to use the computer is it jeremy it's not a it's not a big laugh anymore now that you're on the other end i hate it how do you inspect element on making the website work for once be nice to me delete browsing data go back move i think safari is the move clear this real quick bro you've got 1.2 gig of cached images that's crazy well delete it why don't you i mean it's just thinking about how much longer it's going to take you to load websites now. I'm not cutting one second of this podcast. Just to be clear.
Starting point is 00:26:14 This is all part of being on Quora. Is having to do this. If you're doing laundry, continue doing laundry. Stay in line. I did not say you can leave the podcast. Okay. Now all of Chrome has exploded.
Starting point is 00:26:31 So that wasn't the answer. Why is it so hard to open safari on a computer you know what i don't have to answer that but i really wish i could see what was going on on the computer here i don't want you to see it you don't you know it's not that exciting it's really just alex opening different folders that say applications on it and realizing that they're i guess like fake applications folders this is the worst day of my life you're gonna have some trick applications in there in case someone comes and tries to use your computer yeah exactly you don't want them to get access to your data they're weirdly all
Starting point is 00:27:09 filled with porn jeremy jeremy okay we fixed it cut that up make that sound good sorry sorry that was the laundry line was really good so you really can't cut any of it yeah i know we're gonna keep it all in let's just go ahead and clean that up in post this is what people like okay let's do question two thank you now that we're here perfect all right so this is taking our knowledge we just got and then using it and applying it in a real world situation the question is my boyfriend was caught snogging a woman in a nightclub he doesn't think it's cheating what do you all think wow i mean look my first impressions yeah that's that's cheating yeah i think a snog is kind of textbook cheating kind of i would say that is textbook cheating yeah and you know the thing
Starting point is 00:27:56 is is that you may you may catch just a snog in a nightclub but it's indicative that there could be more going on behind the scenes as well oh sure even on the dance floor they could be making love in the club uh yeah i i don't know is there's no uh i don't think there's any difference between snogging and making out that would make it less cheating right there's no like um connotation to snogging that's like it doesn't matter oh yeah it's not why is that if you're you know you could kiss your mom for example sure cheek um but you could never snog your mom snog is inherently uh you know a romantic thing right it's a sign of love happy valentine's day go to the answers i want to see what people say as far as i'm concerned that's cheating because it's a snog is such an
Starting point is 00:28:43 intimate act this is from eight years ago this is from puja who is the proprietor at effervescence design studio at effervescence design studio i am so surprised at how many people are not sure this is cheating hell yes it's cheating being open-minded and accepting a changed world view does not include being okay with your boyfriend kissing another girl it claps if someone else is that's not in the book i was getting fired up if someone else is in such a relationship and are okay with it that's a different thing dot dot but i see kissing as much more intimate than any other physical activity not any other physical activity chat what do we think more intimate i i think there's more i think you can find something slightly more intimate than uh
Starting point is 00:29:29 snogging just last week we were discussing how unintimate doggy style is in game of thrones right and that's right when that whole tribe had never heard of missionary you know they're called the dothraki dothraki i'm sorry i'm extremely hungover today i couldn't think of michael canes i'm not at my best today but we did that we did think of lauren michaels that really pissed me off i said that yeah i think that he's sort of a father to all of the snl cast members oh i see what you mean he put he basically he's dr evil and yeah it does make sense now that you said it but i was thinking of like you thought in the movie lauren michaels was playing his dad and i was like i'm gonna kill you jeremy you know it wasn't lauren michaels
Starting point is 00:30:15 no one thinks it's lauren michaels anyway i'm back to reading puja's answer here dump him in a second don't look back i believe in second chances but with such a situation no way people have clarity as to what makes you happy this kind of perfect relationship is something nobody deserves you are lucky you found out upvote to you puja i'll give her an upvote she's right she's right i really like the the sentence that starts being open-minded and accepting a changed worldview does not include being okay with your boyfriend now that's interesting did someone say that did someone say well you should actually be open-minded and accept a changed worldview and his changed worldview is good good to kiss other lady on dance floor she's heading off the poly community before
Starting point is 00:30:55 they chime in right right because she's like i'm on quora i know what's coming next people are gonna come in here and they're gonna tell me logs yeah this is the only way to get to the person who ask the question is you have to scroll down to the bottom of a list so weirdly a lot of times it's not not there the original question is via dot of us and it was my bf was caught kissing a woman in a nightclub he doesn't think it's cheating what do you all think and then they changed it to punch up to snog they're all like i'm not gonna get this taken seriously if it's not right because a kiss implies like maybe just you know something gentle whereas a snog is actually quite well it's quite physical as they changed boyfriend to partner oh good edit yeah it's all around yeah
Starting point is 00:31:37 i agree all genders were betrayed here it still says he so oh yeah yeah doesn't really change much i guess they could be married oh i hope they're married well not after he's sorry can you scroll back up a bit to that second answer please alan brewer snogging is open mouthed kissing tongues with an exchange of saliva this is penetration how do you know oh i see they're saying is you're penetrating their mouth with your tongue oh my god that's so funny guys like watching a snog on tv and it's like oh my god they're showing full penetration by the way there's so much snogging on tv these days too yeah and it's and it's uh it's before the watershed as well which is crazy now that that's a crazy do americans have the watershed
Starting point is 00:32:24 the water no i don't think so yeah the watershed is not at least when i was growing up it was nine o'clock and it was the point after which you could show all kinds of crazy shit on tv and say fucking cunt and all that stuff um which uh was exciting we definitely have there's definitely time rules i just i don't think people have a name for them as far as i know people are so disconnected from cable culture now but yeah i feel like i can barely get through an mtv block without catching a snog sadly a penetrative snog yes yeah whole penetration parentheses kissing i think you can snog without penetration what if you just have both tongues out and they're sort of there's both in the air international waters of tongue kissing like two jedi sharing an embrace
Starting point is 00:33:06 well i just meant i just meant that it's not going you're not in anyone's mouth you're just kind of it's the kind of yeah you're just out like that i like venom yeah okay thank you for putting this in terms i can understand i need to read more about the answer the exchange of saliva carries testosterone from the male no it doesn't that's how you get it which lowers a woman's inhibition if you're a trans man and you want free tea just make out with guys you have to become a snog thief well anyway this lowers women's inhibitions women instinctively know this and this is why most women do not quote french kiss unless they fancy the guy is their inhibitions may be lowered sufficiently to consent to sex this is amazing i okay so first of all i'm sure
Starting point is 00:33:53 you talk about this all the time but i love the fact that quora has the sort of their job title underneath as a sort of like well this is why i know this um you know for example alan knows that women's inhibitions are lowered by uh testosterone and saliva because he's a proprietor proprietor and if we click on his profile we can find out where he is a proprietor and where he was born and maybe where he lives right now. I would like to do that, but can you just read the rest of his answer before we do it? Yeah, we don't want to get too distracted here.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Because I think there's important context. We're getting close to something. Okay, if you Google snogging, it will tell you that this kind of kissing is a precursor to sex. When a woman snogs you, it's an indication that she will consider having sex with that person. A man kisses her as part of his seduction of her. My local hospital sex clinic in the AIDS testing
Starting point is 00:34:41 asks if you've had penetrative sex. Which, again, is kissing. Which is kissing. they consider giving a woman oral sex as penetrative sex i know that's a bit off topic but i thought i'd put it he's doing like a math proof where he's like the hospital considers this penetrative if it's tongue in vagina yes so if you just i mean it's just lips it's just another type of lip therefore the tongue penetrates yeah your tongue is a penetrative uh disc i think it would also make some inherent sense to me if this guy thought that most of giving a woman oral was
Starting point is 00:35:13 sticking your tongue inside the vulva over and over again right that's kind of like uh the haymaker it's a knockout movie so this is also important he has three questions ever his second question from six years ago is i was snogging a married man who was also having an affair was he joking when he asked me for sex whoa are you having a laugh i feel like he should know is this what's going on at highbury college alan you slag what the hell he was just saying that it was related to that though right he was just like if you snog that someone asked him for sex and now he's all like i don't know well i think he's more emotionally invested in this one because it was him right and this is what they're doing at highbury college by the way and i've always said
Starting point is 00:35:58 that at portsmouth that's what you're looking at yeah a bunch of slags in portsmouth slags as far as the eye can see he's still on quarter though he's been he posted something on uh february 5th and he said that men who cheat are idiots he's very preoccupied with uh cheating questions yes sort of expert in the field of cheating if yes there we go if my all of them are about cheating glass houses alan yeah it takes one to know one good for him that's his photo and that's where he lives not good for him he's full of sin i wonder if um maybe this is insane i wonder if this is actually like alan's ex-wife yes posing as him on the internet to be like people who cheat are idiots such as me oh i see what you're saying i think you're saying that he's trying to get her
Starting point is 00:36:48 back by performatively answering no i think it's her and she's trying to own him oh yeah hey everyone i'm alan yeah exactly you'd have to be an idiot to cheat on your wife your beautiful wife Yes, your beautiful wife who cares about you so much has done so much for you, yeah. You've snogged. You'd have to throw everything you love away to do that. All right, let's do another question because we have so many. We do have a lot. Go to forbidden knowledge.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Okay, this is a good one. These are our paranormal questions. This question is, are black holes the bin men of the universe? Yes. I think that 100% yes. I like that this is a question you found, Alex, that isn't about British people, but was written by one. Yes. It's just a general science question.
Starting point is 00:37:38 It was just a true thing. Written by a Brit. Well, I guess my first thought would be like, in what sense are they the bin men? But they definitely are cleaning up the galaxy. Right. Yeah. I feel enormously out of my depth. well but they don't i don't know if if a black hole's bin men well what do bin men do
Starting point is 00:38:03 they put things in the truck and what do black holes do they put matter into compressed matter they're very heavy we don't know where it goes though do we well it goes in the black hole it goes in the bin it certainly goes in the bin the bit of space the space bin i i think they're the bin men i think that's a bin man yeah as i don't yeah i'm still gonna say i don't feel qualified on this one we have an answer involving dyson spheres this is the person's only question ever sorry guys just chiming in for one thing and then i've got out of here i got what i needed he's following through life with one question only yeah now that i know that about black holes
Starting point is 00:38:47 i could probably log off yeah there was originally an answer from the horror ghost vampire and their answer was deleted three years ago probably too scary yeah um just wonderful someone said which i think is really nice uh this guy geo says black holes suck if garbage goes near them then yup it's gone if good stuff goes near them that's gone too but bin men that's garbage men for the yanks thank you just don't do that okay i actually like this because the bin men only throw out rubbish if you put something nice outside the bin man will say oh that's that's too nice i'm not putting that right oh that's not how it works in new york they'll just jam stuff in there sure sure yeah i got a crusher it's crazy yeah that's okay the
Starting point is 00:39:35 crusher also kind of a black hole the crusher is a black hole i think they're looking at these trucks they seem like the bid men of the light can escape it i don't know if that's just maybe mom donnie out of control is there i've heard about this i've heard about this black holes Yeah, because of him, there's trash now. I know. From what I've seen online. And snow. This guy's out of control.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Let's do another question. Uh-huh. Do the quiz course. Yeah, that was the only science one. Quite right, too. We've had another bin bed question. You're searching bin bed. I searched bin men, and I put it in the dock.
Starting point is 00:40:08 All right, fine. First the thing. Kind of the wrong one, though, isn't it? And you know what sucks, too, is we have the history section coming up, too, and it's the same sound effect. I'm going to have to play that one off real cool. All right. This one is, if bin men must collect the bins early at 6.30 a.m.,
Starting point is 00:40:25 why do they have to shout? Bin men must collect the bins early. That's true, but why do they have to shout? Why do they have to shout? Libby, you're the only one who could answer this. There's two answers. Yeah, I guess they must be in their union contract. That's a nice improvement.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I like that a lot. That's a good answer. If you are being disturbed by loud workers early in the morning, you should call the sanitation company and file a complaint. Okay. Love that. Two perfect answers. Karenning the sanitation company, which I don't think is – I mean, look. Maybe this is just where I grew up.
Starting point is 00:41:03 But in the UK, I'm pretty sure that all the bins are picked up by the council and not by private companies. Yeah, that makes sense. Call me crazy. Oh, that's a great point too. Yeah, yeah. There's a very, very good edit on this. So the guy who asked the question originally wrote, it's 6.30 in the morning. If the bin men must collect the bins this early, why do they have to shout?
Starting point is 00:41:21 And then Quora's, like, editor or whatever changed it to what the real question is, which is if the bin men must collect bins early at 6.30, why do they have to shout? What an insane decision by Quora to have this system in place to just completely strip any kind of personality out of every single – any question you have. It's like, no, no, no, we need this to be the most universal question possible out of this. Okay, so why must they shout? That's fine. We can include that. It makes it evergreen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I like the anger in it. And they removed all of that. I know. I like that it's coming from a real place. I like that it was written at, well, it says here 2.33 a.m. Well, that's where we are, right? Yeah, so that's 7.30 a.m., which is not. Well, he wrote it an hour later after fuming.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Is it all one time zone in the UK? Is that true? It's all one time zone. There could be a daylight savings thing going on where like Britain does it early or late or something. Sometimes we do daylight savings at different times. If you're not used to waking up that early too, 7.30 can feel like 6.30.
Starting point is 00:42:21 True. Yeah. If you haven't had your coffee, for example. Oh, yes. Which they do not have over there, I believe. It's often an espresso or a tea. Is this what you really think? I always think it's a lot of crazy stuff, so I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:38 He kind of does this thing where everything he says sounds extremely sarcastic, so there's no way to really ever know. I went to Europe for the first time last year, and I've only been to the Netherlands, so I did think there is no coffee over there, and that they have black tea, Earl Grey style in the morning, and they put milk in it, Jeremy, and you know what they call it? They call it a London fog.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I've heard of this. Seen this? But the UK has famously Brexited. Oh, for the coffee. the eu wouldn't let you have coffee anymore so we had to go yeah no tea is definitely more common in the uk but you you can i i assure americans listening if they're thinking of visiting london you can get coffee you can get it if you need to yes it's quite it's quite everywhere i would say it's like how they carry around those packs in case people od on the subway
Starting point is 00:43:27 you know in case an american needs coffee yeah yeah yeah exactly and you can get that anywhere with the passport yeah knocks alone i think it's called anyway here's a question how do i write an article about the deceased headmaster's ghost which is seen patrolling the school grounds oh my god what is this harry potter notice it's an article it is not a book this is the news it's how do i tell the school about the ghost yeah i would like to see the edit history on this one because this this smacks to me oh yeah content review doesn't it it's 6 30 in the morning and i keep seeing a ghost no this one actually is is the same that's just that's just what they think uh it was from what they think it's what they saw they saw the master's ghost they have
Starting point is 00:44:15 five questions i bought goods for cash worth 4 000 which are the journal entries i couldn't tell you what that means are air masses affecting zimbabwe i don't know are they i couldn't tell you what is a composition with the title the day i regret okay so this is this is saying to me uh bad translation from another language i don't know there's a headmaster wherever they are it could also just be like a dumb student trying to like before chat gpt like get someone to do their work for that if you read the um the answers to the question they're all people inspiring him to write which i find very funny that's really funny so they're just like you always start at the beginning that's where our tales begin i will say as you know someone who
Starting point is 00:45:06 has written uh could not think of anything more annoying than than someone telling me just to sit down and write i know that's what i need to do yeah yeah i know that that's what i'm not doing Become the character. How did it feel when you saw the ghost? Yeah. Have you tried living a life worth commenting on? Oh, that's good. There's an answer here from someone named Michael Shannon.
Starting point is 00:45:30 No relation. Is no joke where Claire is right now, right? Our co-host Claire was hired to film Michael Shannon. She didn't really join the IDF. I made that up. I thought it would be funny to say that. Meanwhile, he's here on Quora saying, since there are no ghosts it would be a work of fiction and should be written as such a bit campy
Starting point is 00:45:49 is it camping to see a ghost not really this is interesting it's a sort of uh backdoor way of saying um i don't i don't believe in ghosts and you're wrong for having seen one which you know i do support but as always it does sort of make you wonder why answer at all yes yes yes yes libby i'm sad to say this kind of snark is all too common on this on quora.com yes yes this was a common theme with our fourth of july thing people people snarkily saying oh we all go out and mourn in the streets on fourth of july you know oh we're all you know we can't do anything because we're all so sad um and i just wanted to push them all into uh the bin yeah i wanted to be a bin man a black hole i want to suck them all up into my heavy dense center oh you want to penetrate you
Starting point is 00:46:37 yeah well yeah i mean kind of yeah i guess i want them to penetrate me um no we can't read it pretty much any ghost question on here which i'm always trying to do because someone will show up and be like i don't know those don't exist stupid question it's supposed to be a space for discussion right exactly it's forbidden knowledge yeah yeah i don't i don't really understand it as an impulse because i i too do not believe in ghosts but i've never thought you know what i think i'll just pop on to uh r slash ghosts um and have a fight with some people about it for a while you know that could not that would never occur to me tell them they've been misled here's another question are the irish one of the lost tribes of israel i have not heard this one time
Starting point is 00:47:19 in all my years this is great I don't even know what this means now we do have an answer by Yair Davidi who is mad as hell from his other longer answer on why is Ireland so anti-semitic it's possible we're only seeing
Starting point is 00:47:42 this guy because we have now paid for Quora Plus by the way thank you for your support we are officially on Quora Plus what do you think as soon as you sign up for Quora Plus they start sending you these types of questions? I think you get the full Yair David-y breakdown, whereas before it would be cut off.
Starting point is 00:48:00 Right, right, right. We'd say we're going to move on. We'll never know what he says, we would say. Right. But not now. Now we know. He's mostly mad about how the Irish tend to support Palestine. Right.
Starting point is 00:48:10 Yeah. It's doubly offensive knowing they're one of the lost tribes. You really think they'd be on our side, yeah. Benedict Arnold situation. I'm noticing here the related questions as well. Are the Celts descended from the Lost Tribes of Israel? Interesting. Lots of Irish people are descended or reincarnated from the Lost Israelite Tribes.
Starting point is 00:48:30 I really, really like this idea. Also, is Fiji the Lost Tribe of Israel is down there as well? I wonder if, like, there's basically a version of this for every people. Well, it's a lost tribe. Everybody is the Lost Tribe of Israel. At the end of the day, we're all the Lost Tribe of Israel. Here's a picture of stones. Right.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Yeah, our people from the West Midlands, part of the lost tribe of Israel or whatever. What is Yair going on about with all these pictures of stones? I don't know. What's he jogging on about? He's saying, like, did ancient Israelites go to Ireland and, like, I don't know, do some sort of Irish Stonehenge-y kind of stuff? Try the Guinness. I really don't know. the commitment to finding a way to answer a stupid question as if it's a smart question
Starting point is 00:49:18 i think is unbelievable on this website you don't have to look up pictures of like roman stones to say well i understand that you think these could be lost tribes of israel but obviously they're roman stones yeah of course they're fucking roman stones why are you talking to him it's so long if you are not on the youtube the uh size of this answer is it has bible quotes it's a few thousand words it's mondo yeah well let's see this guy's got jeremiah green which is very biblical okay has a bunch of quotes from the bible so this is from genesis 46 8 and i've been meaning to read more bible quotes oh yeah that seems genuinely true and these are the names of the children of israel which come it came into egypt jacob and his sons reuben jacob's first
Starting point is 00:50:02 born so i wonder if he's just like going through to see if there's like a patrick in there i'm not seeing any seamuses in here so probably not yeah oh right this was uh uh isaiah's son donovan so wait hold on hold on this guy seems to have posted like 10 000 names that are like i guess of you know of uh isaac or israel and he's looking for he's looking for irish names yeah and at the end he has some sort of translation where he's looking how to how to say irish and hebrew okay which uh i don't i don't know how to read i don't really get what he's showing me here i don't know it's just a whole screenshot of his phone i have no idea what this means the word ire has its variations research the bible from a hebrew language perspective becomes
Starting point is 00:50:52 even more interesting all right well okay so the scots are also claiming it too so this is actually a big competition i think at this point it may be easier to list the groups of people who are not claiming that they are descended from the lost tribes of israel is that does this issue hold a lot of tension uh inside of the united territories of uh the uk uh i i would love to answer that question but this is really the first time i'm hearing of it um so uh i'm gonna have to say no it hasn't come up we'll check back i do like that you've given this more you've you've giving yourself more credit to know about this than you do black holes.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Absolutely. Black holes, hands up. I do not know about that. I do not feel comfortable answering this. It's a sticky subject. I'm staying out of it. I don't want to offend any fans of black holes. Oh, no. They're dragging my ass on black hole Twitter.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Real quick, let me see if I can find an answer to this. It's anonymous. Everything's fucking anonymous on this stupid website. Put your name. Who are you? Tell me where you live so I can read it on my podcast. It should be illegal.
Starting point is 00:51:59 They should have to put their full name and a photo ID. I tend to agree. Here's another one. I just moved to Great Britain, and the British accents that I'm hearing every day is driving me insane and enraged. What can I do about this? Nothing.
Starting point is 00:52:12 You can't do anything. You've got to hear us talk like this all the time. You know how many more you get. Yeah, you fucking yank. It's such a cruel thing to post. I move somewhere and it pisses me off that they sound that way. You're going to end up in a stew. This must be an extremely common problem, though.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Yeah, I bet. I feel like you talked to someone like Riley from Trash Future. It's got to be every day of his life. Transparently, he doesn't have it. This is how I feel when people move to New York and tell me I'm wrong for saying online instead of inline yeah yeah agreed i would say it's it's definitely easiest to just adapt uh let it go you know i say the 101 now instead of oh yeah what do people even say back east for roads roads i don't know you say 495 rather than the 495 or whatever you know what
Starting point is 00:53:13 we're not driving enough you're not driving enough yeah i don't even know the numbers no i really don't we're kind of elites so our servants carry us on have you been bullied out of britishisms libby yeah 100 well yeah less bullied out of it than it just at some point you know i think and sort of unconsciously mostly it became easier to just say the american thing that i was hearing everyone say all the time than for example you know i would say i had some pasta and an American would go, ooh, you said pasta. It does sound wrong to me.
Starting point is 00:53:46 And it's just easier to adapt. Yeah, I say garbage. I don't say rubbish. I don't say bin men, you know? Yeah. My wife has a friend who grew up in Hong Kong, so learned English through British people, and they've all bullied her out of saying lift and aluminium.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Those are the two. Or colour with an elongated U. Yeah, we can tell. If you say it like that, we know. What a rich colour. um i'd like to read some answers on the question please read it there's going to be some clapbacks this is someone from new zealand new zealand so you know they're dealing with their own thing there it's like flight of the concords every day for them um max says well you have a problem then
Starting point is 00:54:25 you see the thing about britain the most important aspect of it as far as your problem is concerned is that it's full of people who are british hold on i'm hitting a sound effect flawless victory really good nice stuff and as such they mostly have british accents by definition i'm not normally a fan of saying if you don't like it leave but since the problem is going to recur continually and your choices of getting everyone in britain to change their accent is minuscule then that's your most promising option either that or resort to drink or drugs and stay permanently pissed uh which is i think the most british thing you could do in that scenario so i think you should be clear you should point out that the guy says he means pissed in the british sense as in shit faced
Starting point is 00:55:06 yeah having the american sense pissed off right you should go have cheeky pints yeah maybe that's why british people are drunk all the time because uh they hate hearing other british people yeah that's what it is oh it shouldn't have left the bog this morning yeah that's what they say the bog yeah you know because they're bog people not only are we bog people but also uh we use the word bog to mean the loot um really yes yes so a really good britishism if you want to you know win points with a british person for example um instead of saying toilet paper we we might say bog roll no bog roll yeah so if you're like if you're really constipated or something you'd be like i'm stuck in the bog again yeah okay yes exactly exactly like that i'm bloody glued to
Starting point is 00:55:55 the bulk today just by the odds of statistics this is going to help somebody listening to this and hey you're welcome thank you for your support there's someone named uh granny smith who responded like the apple the founder of the apple now see this is why we need the photo id verification because i don't think she's called granny smith by the way that should have been steve jobs name what founding apple oh granny smith yeah she goes so granny smith has two questions ever her first question from two years ago is why do you think the child isn't yours oh my god which there's one answer to oh i'm sorry i meant to send that to my daughter in the text i just sent it to all of cora oh there's a few answers on that i don't know but there's there
Starting point is 00:56:41 are lies um do you want to read judy hornbrook or worm no so these are unrelated these are unrelated worm is the only real answer on it all right we're reading worm who's a former published biologist biologist get real also worm with a u that's important to understand um worm and this is in response to why do you think the child isn't yours worm says i invested heavily with the directs corporation respect worm only date women who could get who would get an abortion if they were impregnated although that's never been an issue frankly there's plenty of contraception options available and and in the vast majority of unwanted pregnancies they could have been prevented but people make mistakes and this is why abortion
Starting point is 00:57:22 rights are so important people should only have children if they want them it can afford them so what how does that answer the question if you want the worm you better be ready for surgery oh he's an anti-theist not just an atheist but an anti-theist this is one of our strongest warriors he has a patch that's a ticket to hell he's a ticket to hell on his damn page admit one 666. You know, you say these things when you're down there, you're going to regret it. You're going to regret every moment of it. You're going to say, wait, this sucks. I hate this.
Starting point is 00:57:54 They're going to be poking you with a pitchfork. He's actually a CIA agent at Antifa. They don't have CIA agents at Antifa. If such a thing existed, they probably would actually be CIA agents. He actually is a CIA agent slash operative at Antifa.
Starting point is 00:58:09 That might be what Antifa needs. Fight fire with fire. They need their own CIA. and that way they can go abroad and do their works. Anyway, we're getting distracted here. We're on Worm's page. It's pretty much the bin men of our podcast.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Let's do one more for safety in case I have to cut several minutes of us trying to open Google. We'll do a listener question. Do you have a specific one you'd like to do? These are all good. I kind of want to do the last one. Not this first one?
Starting point is 00:58:41 Why do we teach children to admire criminals such as robin hood oh that is so fucking awesome you know i got this instagram reel earlier of this woman in china who was like it was one of those like oh this is what my life in china is like and she she did this thing where she clocked into work and then she went to starbucks to get breakfast so she was like okay i clocked into work and then i go and get breakfast and there are all these fucking cops in the replies being like interesting you clock into work and then go and get breakfast you wouldn't get away with that here look at communism and then and then go to breakfast you're getting paid for um going
Starting point is 00:59:23 to starbucks it's like i why don't you i can't say what i think they should do why don't you do something do it do it now they're on the verge of collapse over there everyone's clocking in and getting starbucks this is a huge tangent but i saw a very long video today of a man who made a whole miniature town for cats in china and it is uh oh yeah extensive it's crazy how big it is there's like working machines there's a working washing machine in the cat's apartment there's a train station there's little mice who are walking around in there i need a washing machine for my cat she needs one the west has no future anyway to answer this question about robin hood um i think it's because he's a scofflaw is that not why
Starting point is 01:00:12 we tell children he's cool he's really cool he's a cool hot guy he shoots apples i would i would say i don't i don't know whether i was especially taught to admire yeah that's also true it's implicit yeah it is absolutely implicit because you can't tell the story without thinking all right well this this guy's i had a cool guy what a cool sexy fox i'd have i'd have human sex with his fox but yeah obviously obviously and not that lion they were doing making him look like that come on walk around those little skirt things he's wearing yeah yeah yeah eugene mormon upvoted the top yeah that's a guy we follow on quora his name is eugene mormon we assume that he is mormon eugene mermon the comedian on bob we have eugene we have eugene mermon at home but eugene mormon
Starting point is 01:00:59 He lives in Michigan. Oh, that's so good. But he upvoted this answer by Dennis Manning. Yeah, he does like this one. Robin was a man of valor who served his country only to come home and find a corrupt government in place because the monarch was at the Crusades. Thank you, Dennis.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Okay, but what if he upvoted it because he thought that it was Dennis Miller? His fellow comedian. Yes, it's Mormon Dennis. It's Dennis Mormon. I thought this was my friend. Dennis Morler. this that is really good uh saying robin hood probably wouldn't be admired by many cultures
Starting point is 01:01:37 is also great uh just a really good blanket statement um why don't you say which ones first of all is there oh man this one was edited so the original question was why do we indoctrinate children to admire criminals and i guess i thought that was too intense well they're they're fishing for like liberal bashing right forum here and i guess my question is in uh the jolly old kingdom is there a fan base for king john is he seen as a hero by some of the people watching oh i mean look there's gotta be right i don't personally know any but there's gotta be i mean he's divine yeah yeah i i will say that i don't think there was a lot of robin hood stuff in school i think this person thinks that like yeah you're doing a robin hood lesson every day
Starting point is 01:02:29 at primary school or whatever he came up maybe twice it's mostly the movie yeah they'd have all the kids steal from the other kids and they'd be like what did we learn here today that we're all changing snacks now that i say that i do remember there being a robin hood play that we did at primary school really did you learn about robin hood in school alex i went to catholic school it was forbidden i had to watch the scarlet pimpernel in school excuse me it's pretty similar i don't know what that is it's kind of a civil war thing it's along the same lines for sure you know sort of revolutionary rich versus poor type thing wait the scarlet pimpernel wasn't okay i'm basing this on an episode of black adder scarlet pimpernel was helping french aristocrats right i truly have
Starting point is 01:03:11 No idea. Jeremy, we had a pretty good story we'd do every year about a man who was killed on a tree. But he came back not three days later for our sins. Indoctrinated. You were indoctrinated. And I thought it was kind of an interesting tale. I'd like you to check it out sometime.
Starting point is 01:03:27 I'm more of a Pontius guy. Okay, all right. Well, Pontius Pilate is an interesting figure for sure, but I think if you spend more time with the text, he might come off a little cruel. You know, we can come back to that. this is just where the show ends up every week is the opposite of robin hood okay never mind i take it back i was actually a bad guy i was indoctrinated against robin hood as a child
Starting point is 01:03:48 in ap european history to be fair to the scarlet pimpernel most thieves are the opposite of robin right they kind of just take stuff they steal from the poor and give to themselves the rich yeah they just uh they steal yeah yeah yeah it kind of is it's kind of his thieves isn't it the real thieves it's sort of if you think about it it's like starbucks and stuff isn't it that's right and that's why you have to go there while you're at work yeah i like that all the related questions there's like 10 about robin hood and then one about luigi mangione who is the modern american robin he's the closest thing we have he killed a ceo by shooting that guy in the face if you think he did it yes i forgot that you think i don't think he did it i like this conspiracy it
Starting point is 01:04:29 looks too smooth i think this is why we should also even if you don't think it we should say it i don't think he did it he kind of got off because they fucked the case up so bad i think if your conspiracy theory was correct that he's like a patty or whatever they would have picked an uglier guy no here way they're picking like one of the hottest people who's ever been accused of anything here is my sole reason for not thinking he did it he looks like someone who is vetted by an intelligence agency oh sure he looks like he went to a very fancy school and maybe has a long future in front of him and they say i'd like you to do something for us that's funny i'd like you to say you killed this guy so we can cover it up although to your credit
Starting point is 01:05:08 then everyone loved it and liked it even more because he was so hot. Yeah, he's a handsome guy with thick eyebrows. There's a hole in my theory, for sure. Just like the back of that CEO from that healthcare company. Also, he's hot like the fox. Wow, he's Robin Hood in so many ways.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Oh, I want to see these collapse answers real quick. Robin of Loxley is no criminal. He's my friend. Fucking peasant. just like jumped in a time machine straight from 1410 immediately got on the computer to type that this is from
