Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, I'm just going to full screen this and hope that it works. Yup. That's what we're doing. As long as the TV doesn't go out. I see you've gotten rid of your bookmarks bar, Alex. I did get rid of my bookmarks bar. Because you were too embarrassed. Because everyone was looking at my fucking bookmarks.
Starting point is 00:00:16 That's not what they're there for. They're there for me to remember easy to find, easy to read animes. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is here. No, he's not here. Oh, I thought you were doing a Triumph voice. No, I feel somewhat defensive about my book far and far in a way we don't have to talk about ever again. But instead, we'll talk about something a little better than that. And by that, I mean the home country.
Starting point is 00:00:59 A lot of punches today in our dance. When it comes by surprise, I do go to karate chops. I feel like karate chops are a dance. Hello, welcome to Quarators, the number one show about Quora. You pressed that one? Yeah. Okay, cool. Quora.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Yeah, Quora. Yeah, I got you. Yeah, yeah. I think I've been there before. This is Jeremy. He's kind of the mom of the podcast. He's careful and he loves you so. And this is Claire and Alex and we are the rest of the show.
Starting point is 00:01:29 And I guess we're naughty children. We're chosen family. And if nothing else, we're family, which is kind of the theme. And it's flowers in the attic. Whoa. How close are we to Thanksgiving on this? Bro, I think after. Never mind.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I hope you had a good one. Unless it hasn't happened yet. And then happy Thanksgiving. People are listening to this on Black Friday while punching other people in the Walmart. while stealing tvs yeah trampling employees and uh if you're wondering who that friendly voice is coming into your family podcast that is our special guest today comedian artist entrepreneur nicholas nanny oh hello i'm italian nick is somewhat italian which may come up today somewhat
Starting point is 00:02:22 Now, Nick, you've recently started a podcast of your own. That's right. It's called Chicken Padmajan, and I started it with Dan Licata. It's for and about Italian-Americans, finally. There's a podcast for that. But if you're not Italian-American, please listen. You don't have the numbers. Why is it called Chicken Padmajan?
Starting point is 00:02:47 Why is it called that? Because it's a play on the famous dish chicken parmesan. Never heard of it. You should press play. Chicken and cheese? Chicken and cheese and marinara sauce, yeah. And more cheese. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:04 You've never been exposed to the... Garf. That's the sound I make when I hear that. What was that? Garf. Garf? Like barf and gross. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:03:16 These two have a real connection, you may be noticing, listening to this show. This is my betrothed. And now for our segment, Claire Kisses the Guest. A lot of you wrote in asking for that segment, and it's launching this week. And then it's over. The kissing booth. It's not really great podcasting, I gotta say. It's really just a video segment.
Starting point is 00:03:46 This is, of course, the warm-up that we usually do on the show. Y'all kiss a little. You just garfed in my mouth. You've garfed. At some point, we have to show Nick the slap. Oh, power slap. Will Smith. Dude, you won't believe what happened at the Oscars.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I heard about it. A little sport out of that now. Yeah, we'll get around to that. I'm sure we'll get around to that. But this is an episode about the things that make us a family. I love that. And that is, of course, the place that we call home. Now, on your fantastic show, Chicken Padmajan.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Thank you. What aspects of Italian culture do you cover? Everything from artichoke to zeppole. We cover all the bases. You know, we discuss it. And we famously, at the end of each episode, every guest is either made or whacked. And we do have,
Starting point is 00:04:49 HeadGum has allowed us to have guns on the premises and we are allowed to kill. And you've killed your guests? We've killed, yeah, a few of them. Hey, I wish I hosted this show with all the guests I would like to kill. Oh, yeah. That's just a little bit of humor between me and Jeremy.
Starting point is 00:05:10 with all the ups and downs we've been through. Oh, what fun times we've had. Yeah. But then the hardest thing, though, is when you kill a guest and then they have a big following and then you reach out to their family and you're like,
Starting point is 00:05:21 can you share the podcast where we kill? Get on their Instagram. Yeah. It's on camera like an ISIS video. It's good for the family. If you want to know how Henry Winkler died. That's a good app. Natural causes.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Yeah. Natural causes. He stabbed himself in the back 22 times. Wow. That's so sad. If you are feeling depressed, please reach out to your friends. Is this your coffee or my coffee? The one in front of me I'm drinking.
Starting point is 00:05:52 They're so close. They share beans. Why? Oh, wait. Does yours have oat milk in it? Yeah, it should. Why? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Mine tastes so creamy. You know what I kind of like is because I picked up the coffee. Both of them say Alex, which gives me kind of an ownership over them. So I guess it's your coffee. I guess it's all my coffee at the end of the day when power comes home to rest. Well, we are going to get into the premise of our show. Nick, have you been on Quora.com? I've stumbled upon.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I was just looking at it earlier. I was trying to find a commercial. That's not a good place to find that. No, yeah. They have nothing helpful over there. But yeah, it really is kind of a wild west of the internet, and I appreciate that aspect of it. Somebody should do a podcast about it. That's what I say.
Starting point is 00:06:46 I'm hoping we do one right now. You've got to check out the McElroy brothers. The McElroy brothers? They did it. People say we stole from them. Oh, man. We stole from these poor brothers. The thing is, to steal from the McElroy brothers, I would have to know that they did that first, which I did not do.
Starting point is 00:07:02 There are three cool brothers who had a podcast. They still have it. You think that's cool? Now their wives have one. They all have a podcast with their wives. They all have a kissing segment. And they swap wives, I'm assuming. Otherwise, I don't see what the show is.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Test the chemistry between each potential wife? I mean, this is an exciting scenario. I'd rather look at that than hear it on a podcast. It's just grunting This is a really good idea For a key party You go to a house You have to do a podcast
Starting point is 00:07:40 You swap keys in the thing You go to the room and you open up And they got a roadcaster And headphones and stuff You kind of get to the bottom Of what's going on sexually over there I've always thought a good couples podcast Is each week you try one fetish
Starting point is 00:07:56 So you're like we're doing poop this week And you review it It's honestly not a bad idea. You have to do a lot of weird stuff. If you guys want it, it's all you. I mean, we could just do that. Vet life. Vet life.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Mixing it up. Ooh, that's pretty good. Spicing it up. Spicing it down. Down. Yeah, you got to twist it somehow. Yeah. Twisting it up.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Twist it up. Specifically, the poop episode. Alex, this is the wrong space of the week. Why don't you go ahead and scroll on down, Hotshot? Oh, I see. I'm so dumb. Space of the week. I hit the button.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yep. Okay. So, Nick, we like to go to the individual spaces at the beginning. These are kind of like subreddits on Quora. Space of the week. And this is the space of the week. Now, we have found, with the theme home country, the space house talk with you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:54 This is the one that right before we started, you said. we shouldn't do this because it's too mean if we do. Right, but then I couldn't find a different one, so we're just doing it. Because we're making fun of people whose English is their second language. Right. Well, it's about to happen. I searched home country,
Starting point is 00:09:10 and then it said we will all share the things of the home village and the country. And I said, that's the theme. So I guess everybody just be tolerant for once in a while. Let's just assume they're all white foreigners. It's funny. Act like it's a riff-raff scenario. You know whose fault it is? Google Translate. It's their fault
Starting point is 00:09:29 for translating it poorly. We can all agree no one's mad at me. Now Jeremy's clicking the questions down here. I didn't think you were going in a different direction when you said, you know what's wrong with this? It's the Google Translate. I was like, where are we? What direction is this? Anyway, yeah. I always feel bad making fun
Starting point is 00:09:45 of Indian people for speaking in poor English because I don't even know the names of that many Indian languages. like they've learned this whole second language i do i know thousands yeah it look it's different too it looks different yeah it's true what a beautiful anyway this is a house talk with you we will share i'll share the things of the home village and the country so if you scroll down okay yeah hit me up things in your home country that might come up the sad truths of life
Starting point is 00:10:13 an incident that has made you change your opinion about a celebrity well i want to know what's going These are all things that happen at the home. So let's zoom in on one of these here. We have a great post by Bumika Kaersha, who is a human first. Has any information or incident made you change your opinion about a legend or a celebrity? Yes, I had presumed an image of Emron Hashmi, a C-grade flop actor. Flop actor! I never appreciated watching any of his movie, however good he acted.
Starting point is 00:10:43 They are brutal. Somehow I came across his book The Kiss of Life And it changed my perception towards him I had a similar experience With who? With Emron Emron
Starting point is 00:10:53 Hush me I don't think I've ever felt that way about an actor I don't care how good you acted He specifically had cancer Saved his son His battle against Turns out he's a human being Yeah
Starting point is 00:11:06 That's too bad I didn't like Emron Hush me because I assumed he was from Enron. Right. Yeah. And so I was like, fuck this guy. He fired all those people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Everyone who worked at Enron's name had to rhyme with Enron. Yeah. Had to rhyme badly. Hiring practices in the 90s were out of control. Yeah. Ken Enron. I'm glad we've woke them up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:33 So that you can't be Ken Enron anymore. It's crazy, though, that he's a human being who's susceptible to disease and death. But if the guy who was the CEO of Enron had cancer, would you be like, well, they could have all those shell companies. Yeah, I think so. Like, what are you going to do? He gave it to himself.
Starting point is 00:11:48 He's a shell of a man. That's right. He's hollowed out. Just like what they did to the energy sector. Who just bought Enron? The Onion. No, I don't know. No, the Birds Aren't Real guy.
Starting point is 00:12:01 The Birds Aren't Real guy just bought Enron. Oh, nice. I don't know either. What is it? Who are these guys? This guy, he's like a trolley, Andy Kaufman type guy. He's a menace. And he tried to spread this conspiracy theory about how birds aren't real.
Starting point is 00:12:22 You don't remember that? I knew about the conspiracy. I didn't know it was a specific guy who did it. Yeah. And apparently he has a lot of money. From the birds thing? Either the birds thing or, you know. From a concept.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Yeah. Or it could be parents, although I hear his new theory is parents aren't real. And they shouldn't give me nighttime rules. I think we should clarify, too, the birds didn't give him money. No. Birds don't have money. They can steal coins. The idea of having one joke that is lucrative enough that you can buy a company is so foreign to me.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I don't know. Hak'tuah's got her thing going on. That's true. She owns Lithuania now, I hear. I hate to get into the structure of it too But not really a joke per se It's more of a lewd description Oh it was a joke
Starting point is 00:13:12 About spitting on the thing Oh Hawk to her She's not joking about that Those are instructions It's a demand is what it is That's what America needs And she purchased Raytheon She buys like a current thriving company
Starting point is 00:13:28 She has a lot of fucking money She owns SpaceX now. Well, good for her. Everyone has own battle story. That's what this woman is saying about Emron Hashmi. I think it's a guy. I think it is a... Oh, wait, never mind.
Starting point is 00:13:45 It is... I'm wrong. It's Bumika. It's Bumika. You're talking about Bumika. She's a professor by profession, reader and blogger by passion. Okay. Mom of two super kids.
Starting point is 00:13:55 That's good. Good for her. Worst to deal with wifey. Oh, no. Oh, brother. Can I take a moment and ask what everyone's battle story is? Oh, for God. We all have to have a battle story?
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah, everyone has one. What's yours, Alex? When you fought Frieza? Yeah, probably my dark drug addictions that I fight with every day is my battle story. I can't help it or else I'll start getting hooked on all the sick stuff I'm hooked on. We've kept it off, Mike, until now. I think we have the same battle stories. oh damn that's your battle story no that his we actually all have my battle you all have
Starting point is 00:14:35 a drug addiction we're all hooked on drugs yeah uh my battle story is i'm married to a non-italian who doesn't like pasta and my battle story is you don't like pasta he doesn't like adobo chicken my only ethnic food that i know how to make for my ethnicity i i he lied to me for years wow and then it would just say i'd say do you want any of this chicken it's so good he goes Oh no I'm actually full I would have one piece of it And then I found out It's because he doesn't like it
Starting point is 00:15:05 I hate to take sides in this But pasta is like A whole genre of food It's not like adobo I just don't like spaghetti Okay alright Spaghetti She'll eat it if I make it
Starting point is 00:15:14 Do you like a linguine? Yeah This is the same thing to me Claire's not on trial here Linguine's flat Yeah I have a friend Who in college
Starting point is 00:15:22 Cooked me pad thai And it was so disgusting He's not He's a white guy And he made it like With peanut butter And shit like that It was so bad.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And I was like, oh, that's great. And, like, for years, he was telling people, he was like, I make such a good pad thai. Like, Jeremy loves it. And, like, eventually I had to be like, I'm really sorry. I actually didn't like it at all. And he was really offended. So this is his battle story. That's my battle story.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Is that you lied to him about liking his food. I did. Only to betray him in public. Yeah. Okay. Well, RIP to that guy. Hope you're doing well wherever you are. It's time to get into some political
Starting point is 00:15:55 Quoras and kind of see The world around us In this week's segment The Quiz Corps It's the American Anthem I don't know what other sound would be here What else would it be? What a melting pot
Starting point is 00:16:13 This question is, so if I'm Italian Am I also Latino? Okay, just before we get into it You should know there are going to be a lot of serious answers on this. Over a hundred it says. Someone says well that's a complicated topic. Isn't that complicated? I don't feel like it's
Starting point is 00:16:30 complicated. Well that's a different question though. That one is can I say that Italians are Latin. Now that we have the screen capture you can really experience how difficult it is to learn anything. Yeah you can see a picture of this guy with the caption my Mexican friend know what to do.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Is he in a coffin? He's doing the Mr. Beast challenge So What What's this person saying This person is saying that Latin Is what real Latinos are As in you are Latin
Starting point is 00:17:04 So saying Yes you are a real Latino How the term is used in USA is no my problem They are wrong and wrong Don't get to rewrite history in dictionaries Italians are descents of Latino and Estrucans Etruscans
Starting point is 00:17:20 God damn And a mix of any other Italics people Italians are famously Aztecs woman If Italians were Tex they would be in Italics Oh yeah that's true I think it would be in bold
Starting point is 00:17:37 Well you'd be wrong Are you saying they're loud? Maybe bold to you but not to Italians Well, they're a bold flavor of people. They are. Yeah. I don't know. Not that spaghetti.
Starting point is 00:17:51 I tried to find like a bunch of questions about like how when a beautiful woman walks down the street, you got to like yell at her. But I couldn't like get to the bottom of that. Is it okay that I yell at women? No one has asked that? No one's must eat, must ask that. Are women wrong? I'm trying to find this.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Jeremy's trying to scroll to the bottom of this thing, but it has hundreds and hundreds of answers. This is the only way to find who asked the question. Because I want to see what his name is. Oh, and it's anonymous. I fucking hate this website. What a nightmare. It's a tough day for you.
Starting point is 00:18:28 We're still recording this thing. At least you'll always have your home country. All right, sorry. I'll go back to what the answers are. So people are saying yes for the most part. That Italians are Latinos. Do you feel Latino, Nick? No.
Starting point is 00:18:44 I'll answer in Spanish. No. Yeah, I feel like a constant thing with Italian-Americans is trying to find a way to ethnicize themselves. And, you know, they don't want to be white. They don't want to. And also, it's part of the Italian struggle to, you know, see yourself as the victim of persecution. Right. Oh.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Which is kind of your persecution. What's that? It is the Italian persecution. It is the Italian persecution. Having to try to find out what it is. Yeah, trying to find a way. That's Italian yoga, actually, is trying to find a way to bend so that you're the victim of every injustice in society. And so I don't agree.
Starting point is 00:19:34 I think Italians are white people. White 80s. Well, you could be Latino and white. What about that? I don't agree with that. And also as a Jew, I'm Italian and Jewish, and they're both people that want to other themselves when they are both white.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Two groups of white people who are like, I mean, I guess I'll hit the air horn. I think I'm Hispanic. Right. So you're Italian? So I'm technically Italian, so I'm technically Latin. Right. And so it's not a problem.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Wait, how are you Italian? Because she's Hispanic. Which means she's Latino. Oh, okay. Are you following? I got you. Follow me, essay? Claire's getting dangerous when she calls you essay.
Starting point is 00:20:27 It's kind of like when a cat's hair stands up. I mostly said essay. You should write an essay about that. About the thing I just taught you. A little term paper, yeah. It's true. It would be a little loophole there. Thank God that's not the case.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Nick, you ever call yourself a pizza bagel? Yes, famously I have. I have called myself a pizza bagel. Your first stand-up album is called Pizza Bagel. Yeah. It's available now on Zoom. Yeah. Kind of addresses the question, what race is this guy?
Starting point is 00:21:02 Which is what stand-up is all about. Yeah. Yeah, I'm a bagel bite. I'm in the back of the freezer. and you have people coming over and you don't really have an appetizer, I'm there for you. Everybody wants a piece of that. Everybody wants a piece of that.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Did you find a good answer here? Oh, yeah. This guy says Latino is not a race, it's a language. This is Gio. It's not true at all. He says, but I read Latino because we studied in high school. He's just saying Latin, but he's saying Latino. I read Latino.
Starting point is 00:21:39 So he's stupid. I don't eat a Latino. I mean, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that that's how that works, right? He says, I'm pretty sure you refer to a supposed Latin race. You see, it's pretty bad because the last ones to confound race with the language, they were the Nazis. Oh, my God. You are not recovering from that. So guess what?
Starting point is 00:21:56 If you think that it's a language, you're a Nazi. Whoa. There's 80 upvotes on this. Or you think it's a race, you're a Nazi. Wait. I mean, this whole question is race science, which is very Nazi coded, but also I've got to get to the bottom of it, and I don't care how I do it. Um, wrong. Yes, I'm Latino because I'm an exotic Italian.
Starting point is 00:22:13 And I come from true Latino descent because I am Latin. This is what we're looking for. Here we go, baby. Reni Macchi. Reni Macchi. And he says, here we go, baby. Be proud to be Italiana and Latina. Thank you for writing in, baby.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Go off, Reni. Reni Macchi. We have not uncovered Quora areas that are all Italians on the show. And they are powerful forums I gotta say This guy is really into this whole thing though There's this question Do most Latino men like Donald Trump
Starting point is 00:22:47 From the election day Or a week after the election It's Latin Americans Not Latino Which I think he again means Italian Americans For reference the other question was asked Like seven years ago So he's still on about this bloody thing
Starting point is 00:23:03 But where does he stand on I couldn't figure out where he stands On Trump? On Trump, yeah. He's not really worried about Trump. Yeah, he's just mad that people think Latino means... He just wants to correct people. For the record, Trump is also Latino.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Our first Latino president. And he's got other racist questions he would like to ask. Okay, let's move on to the next one, please. Okay, this next question is... Do Italians seriously think they have the best food in the world, or is that a joke? What a joke. Oh, baby! I don't think it's a joke.
Starting point is 00:23:40 No, that's for real. That's a for real consensus. Do you think you have the best food in the world? I don't think so. But Italians. But Italians do. They delude themselves. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:51 It's part of the whole thing. It's part of the whole enchilada, which is the wrong term. It's part of the whole paella. Paella. Paella. so remember when we went to italy yes do you think you had better have had better italian food here than you did there oh that's a good question yes i think i have too i've had better italian food here i feel like italian food tastes better here because they put more salt in it or
Starting point is 00:24:22 sure yeah i mean we are in new york i feel like this is like a italian american hot spot here all they're doing is training their dishes to the highest power level imaginable right yeah Yeah. That's true. Pizza pie on every corner. If you went to like Connecticut, I bet Italy still probably trumps you. I can't even really remember what we ate in Italy. I remember we had bad pizza over there.
Starting point is 00:24:46 You know what I remember? I remember ordering a cappuccino after 4 p.m. and the waiter being like, you want a cappuccino right now? And then like turning to other people in the restaurant and being like, she wants a cappuccino and it's nighttime. Which I didn't realize cappuccino was like a morning thing. Oh, yeah. He was, like, saying that I wanted, like, ice cream for breakfast or something.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Don't they eat dinner at, like, 9 p.m. over there, though? Yeah. I don't know. There are. Yeah. They're not speed freaks. Nah. I feel like this is the thing America has on lock is, like, uppers all day.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Go make money. Wait, was that at the Rock and Roll Cafe? No, no, no. Okay. There was a rock and roll cafe or bar that we went to that had vinyl of Avril Lavigne. And it had a huge photo of the Rolling Stones. And Foo Fighters as decoration. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:25:41 That's beautiful. It's pretty rockin'. I would like to go to the answers on this thread, as I bet they are crazy. I really like this, the, is that a joke, that all Italians are just kidding. There's no way that's a joke. Is that a joke when they say that sauce is gravy? Yeah, we love meatballs. Balls.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. It's not a joke, and I got the bruises from Nona's wooden spoon to prove it. Wow. Spoon bruise. Shout out, Nona. This guy says, let me reply with a small anecdote. Spell it wrong. Learn to spell Juanes and Galen.
Starting point is 00:26:19 This is during a hike. Take a guess what the main topics of conversation was during the six-hour hike up to the refugio between these Italians. Food and only food. One starts about what he ate yesterday that everybody chimes in to ask about it to give recommendations on where to get the best produce, what recipe to use, et cetera, et cetera. Italians just breathe food.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Just breath food. Yeah, sorry. Then they start talking about what they'll all eat. I'm Belgian with an Italian wife and small son living in the Benito. Son's so small. Stuart Little, motherfucker. That's what you want out of a son.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Can I say that? I frankly get annoyed by it sometimes. It's literally always food. Because I think when they're big, then they should be really big. But when they're small, they should be really small. That's how I feel about snacks. Ideally, yeah. Put them in your pocket.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Okay, but I don't know. This guy, like, people talk about food all the fucking time. They could have just been joking. That's what the question was. So were they joking? I hope so. Were they laughing about the food? Juanes Engelen's picture of himself is a nightmare, by the way.
Starting point is 00:27:28 That is crazy. Yeah, it's like a weird troll face. He looks like a bizarre demon. Yeah, he looks... What are those Hellraiser things? The Cenobites. Cenobites. Yeah, he looks like a fucking Cenobite.
Starting point is 00:27:38 But not Pinhead, as his face is clear of pins. Yes. He looks like Butterball. Butterball is the one with the wide mouth. I would love to start a Cenobite podcast. That'd be good. Buy Cenobites for Cenobites. You just have your guests and they have to solve a puzzle?
Starting point is 00:27:56 They solve a puzzle. Do you like pain? When did you get into chains? What's your craziest story from the road? A lot of the podcast is just them ripping my skin off. Can I curse on here? Oh, he went to Ghent University? Must be nice.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Gorf. Actually, he did not go to university. He went to Universitite. All right. Freaking bell joke. Everyone settle down. This is this guy's only Quora interaction, by the way. This is the one thing he's done on here.
Starting point is 00:28:32 I really like just going to Quora to be like, these fucking Italians. He put up that hideous photo for his profile. Just one photo. For one answer. He spent that time being like, people should know I'm a monster. Let's see if we can pick him out in that picture. Oh, yeah, he did post a picture of his brunch.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Unfortunately, we're going off of a caricature. I don't think he's in there. I think he took the photo. I think that's his small son in the foreground. Yeah, that is his small son for sure. Audio listeners, you should know this picture sucks shit and is mostly of mountains. It's actually not worth going to the YouTube to check it out.
Starting point is 00:29:06 You could not identify a single person in this picture. The FBI would not be able to use it. That'd be great if his weird fat head was in one of the windows. Or in the clouds. There's probably that hunchback over there in the corner. Okay. Let's see if any other good answers on this. Paolo is offended by the Belgian guy.
Starting point is 00:29:30 He says, at least we don't have to debate about selling machine gun freely in a supermarket. There you go. Do you do that in Belgium? Snap fingers. I don't know. It's a crude stereotype about Belgians. We're always discussing the latest machine gun. Have fun buying your waffles while being shot.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Okay, a lot of tension in the comments. Do you think that this guy's Italian? Silviano Fratelli. I travel to many places in my life. I can say, yes, Italians have the best food. People dream about it. How do you do an Italian accent? You're nailing it.
Starting point is 00:30:10 You're doing pretty good. No place in the world you can smell the food in the air. It's a special. Stop complaining about them talking about it. At least we got a food. It's a beautiful language. It was like half Jamaican, but it was pretty good. Yeah, and he's not joking about that.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Only place you can smell the food in the air. Only place. I love it. And a nose full of this stuff. Italy and Disney World. They pump it out. They really do. Have you been to the Italy and Disney World,
Starting point is 00:30:39 which is right next to China, I believe? Did we do that? We didn't go to the world aspect of Disney World. We stayed in the... Just Disney part. the american yeah you guys went to the star wars hotel right uh i wish but they keep you prisoner or whatever yeah nick watched our video i watched that whole fucking thing what a waste of time about that hotel there's a star wars hotel and they you had to like live like you uh were on a
Starting point is 00:31:07 ship yeah if you pay extra money they'll like kidnap you or whatever that's how it works yeah you were in a barracks and you pay for it uh but you guys did an adult disney trip we went uh my brother brought his daughters down there for a week all right you're safe yeah and then uh we we we went we said oh we'll come down for two days and it was uh very miserable time it was hell yeah it was during spring american spring break yeah and it was like as as claire put it everyone and their fat mother was there That's what I said when I was there Everyone and their fat mother is here
Starting point is 00:31:46 Taking their top off too, I bet I wish I was hoping you two were like goofy freaks And went solo We go every year I will never I don't think I'll ever go back there Disneyland is way better
Starting point is 00:32:00 It's chiller You can take mushrooms and not freak out Well, yeah This is a coastal divide Yeah, basically a coastal divide I hate to get into it now with so much trauma But yeah, we were at a Disney hotel and uh stinky yeah and then the tv sucked yeah i'm sorry to hear about that yeah
Starting point is 00:32:21 tv really sucks that's one of the worst parts of disney yeah if you ask me that may own star wars now well let's get to this next question because i think this is gonna really spice things up how can i stop feeling bad about learning italian a lot of people around me keep saying that it is rude to learn it so I feel bad. What? I'm part Italian and was born elsewhere. What? I do not think it is rude to learn it. What the fuck are you talking about? A lot of people?
Starting point is 00:32:47 Oh, then there's extra details here from the Quora question details bot, which I've never seen before, ever. It says, my mom's side of the family is Italian, but my friends say that I cannot learn Italian unless I am fully Italian or came from here. Oh, right. I forgot about that rule. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:33:05 That's true. Yeah. unfortunate yeah i haven't unfortunately oh i mean i'm sorry unfortunate yeah that is so stupid that oh wow did they not like it when you like speak a little italian over there no they love them i so when we went to italy i had been trying to learn italian for a year on like duolingo and i i also did like skype sessions with like a an italian and i had a very rough understanding of it and uh i would try i i was so nervous about trying to do it and then i did uh i like the few times that i was like uh went to a cafe and i was like uh poso avere un cafe and like whenever i do it the guy behind the camera be like
Starting point is 00:34:00 okay you want a coffee and I was like yes after I'm done applauding you yeah I'm gonna get you that coffee
Starting point is 00:34:10 you're doing the same thing with your heritage right Japanese right with Japanese oh really I learned like five phrases
Starting point is 00:34:17 so you could order a restaurant so every single time they'd be like thank you for not throwing coins at me you're so tall I thought it was
Starting point is 00:34:26 really weird until I saw the other American tourists in Japan who were just like Chocolate! They're like a foot taller and just look like monsters.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Chocolate milkshake. I literally saw that happen. Wow. That's the inspiration for Godzilla. Do you think it's cool if I learn Yiddish? No. I think that's cool.
Starting point is 00:34:53 That's probably one of the coolest things. Why would you learn Yiddish? Because it sounds fun. What if you get a Weird Al Yankovic opportunity And you need to know it A Weird Al Yankovic opportunity Like writing a silly song For Weird Al
Starting point is 00:35:09 For Weird Al or Weird Al style Because we all agree that his songs are so great And I think the Yiddish is a lot of why Does he speak Yiddish in his songs Yes a lot Do you know about Weird Al Yankovic Jeremy is like 24 years old So it's really hard for me
Starting point is 00:35:25 sometimes he doesn't know about a pretty fly for a uh what yeah what it's here it's like it's a jewish one i'm getting fucking burned by the yankovic heads in the one the one yiddish phrase amish paradise is the one i really know oh yeah what's the nerdy one white nerdy that one i was from my 2016 yeah back when i was eight that came out who was that shah millionaire that he uh i think it was yeah uh let's get into the question the answers okay if anybody has any really uh the answer is you should stop learning italian you should learn japanese i think that's true there's not enough white people learning japanese unfortunately all time deficit all of these answers are for a different thing that's a damn shame why does it do this it's such a bad website
Starting point is 00:36:24 there's not a single answer that's for the original question the one that it wants us to answer is i want to learn italian but was not born in italy i'm not 100 italian how can i stop feeling bad but it's like i want to read the one about if it's rude yeah well okay this is like this is baby logic here this is so stupid yeah it's quora.com it's the questions website to be fair the question is how do i stop feeling bad yes the answer is um you can pay for sex work you can just get a massage uh you can accomplish a goal francesco the archangel the archangel i've been going about this episode all wrong it should just be getting clear to pronounce it we've been doing this all wrong that's the nonsense there's no reason why
Starting point is 00:37:15 you should feel bad about learning a language. Wow, that's what it sounds like. And then he goes, even if it's just a score with a woman, or man, or whatever. Or a turtle. Alright, Francesco. It's already a good reason. The National Stereotypes
Starting point is 00:37:32 Office demands that I write the best reason and wink. What? So he's just joking around there. Because Italians are obsessed with sex. That is a true stereotype. That's a true, true stereotype. And it's a curse.
Starting point is 00:37:47 It's a curse. Italians are very horny. Right. None of the stereotypes are jokes. I feel like that's fair to say. All stereotypes are real. That's the coordinator's promise. We are the fired writers from the Carlos Mencia show.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Okay. There was a really good question above this one in the doc. Oh, did I skip it? Oh, I'm so sorry. I skipped this question. I didn't know if this offended you. No, I'm really sorry. But I do want to spend a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Are Italian women the most beautiful in the world? Now, this is not the funniest question of all time, but it is the most thought-provoking. And this, of course, starts off with a picture of an AI-generated woman who's just beautiful. I might add, does not look that Italian to me. No, it doesn't look Italian at all. Oh, it's on Quora Plus.
Starting point is 00:38:34 She does look Latina, though. Latina, yeah. Which is Italian. Oh, that's a good point, is if you're Latina-pilled, you are still in love with Italians. So, there you go. Yeah. Unfortunately, this is locked behind Cora Plus.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I'm okay with that. We can read a little bit. Yeah, let's start at the beginning here. He says, that's a loaded question, dripping with subjectivity and dreaming with potential accusations of favoritism or even jingoism. Why don't we not say dripping?
Starting point is 00:39:03 And there's a fucked up image of a clearly Latino woman. She's a beautiful computer girl. AI generated with a weird painting in the background. She's from the part of Argentina argentina that's on the computer uh beauty's in the eye of the beholder right so let me take you on a little walk here you'll find every shade of opinion on this italian women with their mediterranean charm certainly hold their place among the beauty pantheon it's true this is ai right beauty pantheon's good as hell describing italian beauty is like trying to explain colors
Starting point is 00:39:33 to a blind person you can talk about sofia lorenz timeless appeal or uh monica bellucci's seductive presence. This is extremely AI. Yeah, I think this is just the chat GPT being horny for Italian women. The robot is making you horny. The robot says, let me be clear, beauty is a mosaic. Every country has its own flair, its own aesthetic
Starting point is 00:39:55 signature, defined by history, culture, and yes, genetics too. Consider the delicate beauties of Japan. The striking features of East African queens. Or the fiery allure of the South American Or the funky San Jose, California
Starting point is 00:40:12 So to crown Italian women as the most beautiful does a disservice to the diversity of of blank I agree 100% and I just want to see them added to the beauty pantheon. Thank you Scott Crager for your AI generated word of plus

Starting point is 00:44:46 I feel like we can't even put the blurred image on YouTube. I'm not clicking it. Because I see exactly what it is. Let me just say this. It could be a picture of anything. I don't know. I think it's two, it looks like two fists. Don't you see like a dog's eyes?

For audio listeners, it is very clearly a woman, I don't know, a doggy style. Starting point is 00:46:35 This is an Italian who does not want to be a POC. Doody Dobrovnik. That's from Doody Dobrovnik. I don't know if I said this on the show or not, but when I was looking up Italian questions, it was all like, are Italians black? Are they white? What race are Italians I need to know right now?
Starting point is 00:46:54 Oh, my God. Leave it to duty. I think that's enough of this question. I think we've found out what. Jeremy's afraid to know where all the beauties are. Here's another Italian question. One that may make you more comfortable. Are Italian Americans proud of Super Mario?
Starting point is 00:47:15 Is there anyone who knows a lot about Super Mario here who could maybe discuss this? It couldn't be done. Are you proud of the plumber? I'm proud of him. Yeah, I think he's a great icon. Who wouldn't be proud of him? He's done so much. I couldn't tell you specifically.
Starting point is 00:47:31 He defeated Bowser. He's always hitting his head on the bricks. Yeah, he does love doing that. From what I know from that movie, he's from Brooklyn. He is from Brooklyn. So he's like Nick-style Italian. That's right, yeah. Well, I think the most important thing is they introduced the concept of the wah.
Starting point is 00:47:49 the uh the the dark the dark opposite of yourself the waluigi's the warios which are you know uh mario and luigi are from brooklyn but the warios are from long island that's true yeah so when you said the wall i thought you meant because when wario i mean mario dies he goes well he's you know he's he's going over to the dark side when he dies so yeah and it is bad to die it's
