Starting point is 00:00:00 There's a fucking record button on this. Recording in progress. Chat, he is blind. He can't see the zoom screen in front of his own eyes. Chat. Chat, this is Werner Herzog's Twitch stream. Today we're clowning on Jeremy for being a faux ass. Get your ass out of here.
Starting point is 00:00:20 The deranged podcaster cannot find the record button. He deconstructs the boat to take it over the mountain because he is in the mouth of madness. Werner Herzog listening to an episode of Quarators and being like, you must delete this immediately. You're doing too many anecdotes. Never listen
Starting point is 00:00:41 to this. You've lost the through line of what you were talking about and it's like listening to pigs talk. Quarators is just the equivalent of listening to a man be ripped apart by a bear. That's right. We talk about the same part
Starting point is 00:00:57 every time. It's a great movie. There's only one part to talk about. There's only one part. No, that's not true. I also really like the ending. The ending, so after the guy gets eaten by the bear, That is the ending! No, but Werner does a really good monologue
Starting point is 00:01:09 where he says that, I've watched hundreds of hours. I see no kinship in the eyes of the bear. Oh, yeah. Which I really like. That he's just like, this guy's an idiot. In memoriam, you're a dumbass who got killed by a bear. You ain't his friend.
Starting point is 00:01:26 He ain't your friend. This has been German Bullies. The bear was a fake friend. This is an MTV show, German Bullies, and it's Werner Herzog donking on fools for an hour. You're dumb. It appears not only did Kobe Bryant die, but his whole family died as well.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Everybody welcome Rob Dyrdek. It's not even famous people. It's just like idiots at the mall. don't you get those shoes at the fat store in their town they must have a fat store
Starting point is 00:02:02 where else would they get such iconic shoes I looked up stupid bitch in the dictionary and it's had your name in it your picture
Starting point is 00:02:13 was displayed below alright we're done talking about Werner Herzog it's Quarantiners with the sound of the robot folks we're back another week live coming to you in the studio quarry's weather report it's you know i i said not to wear a jacket last week but then it got cold again so actually do put your jacket back on although it's sunny now you can appreciate that And what's important is that mind shape change, mind shift, mind ship shaped.
Starting point is 00:02:58 What? Mind shape shift. What? Edit this out. Mind shape shift. Mind shape shift. I meant to say mind shape shift. YouTube keeps giving me this notification that says the intros to our episodes keep losing people.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Mind shape shift. Just like I wrote down. people actually you could see when they close their computer because they're tired they're like maybe i'm looking at the screen too much yeah well the issue is that they're tuning in just to hear vague werner herzog impressions of what we stopped doing them they know to leave they want to they're here just for the weather report they're here just to know the weather and when they get it they know what to wear um folks it's america's premier quora based podcast All three hosts in the studio today, Alex, Jeremy, Claire, that's the three of them.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Claire's finger is reattached. Oh, yeah. How's your finger? Is it back? It's fine. It's growing back. It's at the part where it's itching now. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:03:57 You know, when a human body heals, it begins to itch. I've heard that. It feels like the premise of a Cronenberg movie of some kind. Called Itch. Itch. My body's one big itch. It's disgusting for some reason. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:15 I watched Crash for the first time recently in theaters. It genuinely reminded me of the time in high school when my friend tried to show me porn. Like, that's how it felt watching a dark room full of people watching Crash, Cronenberg's Crash. It's all just fucking. I mean, could you imagine watching porn? With other people?
Starting point is 00:04:34 Gross, man. Do you normally watch porn in a movie theater? As often as I can. It's a cool movie, but it is like, I think most of the scenes are sex scenes. That sounds good. Almost all of it. It's great.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Watch it. Check it out. Isn't he fucking the tailpipe or something? No, the movie is about people who get really turned on by the idea of car crashes. Oh. You're thinking of the subreddit where the dragon has sex with the car.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Our dragon's fucking cars. Our dragon's fucking cars. You're thinking of our dragon's fucking cars. Well, I mean, there's also a great two cars fuck each other in Southland Tales as well. Okay, so you could have also been thinking of that. but the hot tailpipe. One of the tailpipes
Starting point is 00:05:11 turns into an actual vagina. The best movie ever made. Check out Southwind Tales. That's one of the craziest movies I've ever seen in my whole life. It's so good. Werner Herzog here, do not put your genitals
Starting point is 00:05:26 in the tailpipe. It is no place, a barren wasteland. Now we got a great theme for you this week. Every week, we like to guide the conversation in the different areas
Starting point is 00:05:39 of this wonderful website quora.com and this week goes into a classical theme that originates in the bible and that is of course the power of names wait how does it originate in the bible we also have a bunch of new sounds should we introduce those that's pretty exciting yeah i mean it is and also how does it how is it in the bible the bible's like mostly names i guess that's right there's like whole names they're just proving how many names they could list at When you hear it, when they're like, you see the new book and you're thinking. Who's that Pokemon? It's Paul.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Perfect. Oh, Jesus is friend. Now I remember. Let's introduce the other ones throughout the episode. So we get sort of surprised. I think that's right. I wonder if I remember where they are. There's four.
Starting point is 00:06:35 You don't remember where they are? There's four. There's three, because we had this one before. You can't remember where two other buttons are. No, I'm cooked, chat. Okay. It's Space of the Week. Hit the Space of the Week button.
Starting point is 00:06:52 It's the power of names. Space of the Week. Great. Every week we go on a different space on the website. These are somewhat community forums that allow us to engage in discussion on one topic. This week's community is Alpha Names. Amazing and awesome names, words, terms. I love names, words, terms.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yeah. The description says A words with the S as a dollar sign. Now, you recently named someone. I did. Did that feel powerful? It felt extremely powerful. That's someone's name for the rest of her life until she decides to change it. The second I got that sucker out of there, I was like,
Starting point is 00:07:35 we got to do more of these so I can fire off more names. I got a lot of ideas. What are some other ideas? Did I not say this on the podcast before? I really think I want to have a boy named Memory. Yeah, you said this before. I have not heard this. And so he can knock your lights out and say,
Starting point is 00:07:54 remember that and stuff like this. It's true. So the way you name your child really dictates how their life is, I think, and how the world treats them. Store me in your brain stem. I'm Memory. Memory Patak. Yeah, the last name's just Polish.
Starting point is 00:08:12 There's no way around that. That's just what your name's going to be. That's not my decision. That's a clan. Would you be offended if your daughter changed her name at some point? Yes. I mean, I guess if you changed your whole identity or whatever, I would have to accept that, but it's just going to be casual.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And this is going to come up a lot today, by the way. Some of the questions are about this, but if you're not changing everything about who you are and you change your name, I'm going to come beat you up. Oh, no. I'll wait until you're an adult, so it's just a domestic conflict and not child abuse. Yeah, this is like the Tracy Morgan bit that got him in big trouble
Starting point is 00:08:47 where he was like, I would beat up my son if he was gay, but you're like, I don't care if he's gay, but just if he changes the cool name I picked out. If he becomes Chris or something, oh, boy. Your name is memory. Who was it who punched their kid 12 times when they On their 12th birthday
Starting point is 00:09:04 That was Wiz Khalifa and you are referencing a bonus Episode of the podcast I did want to say Waka Flocka Flame You were close Same time period, same letter even Just getting hit by your dad And every time he punches you he goes like Waka Flocka That would be the perfect one to be hitting
Starting point is 00:09:21 First you get hit by the Waka Then by the Flocka every day i came home i'd hear the waka closing the door you're gonna hear two wakas the first one when i flock you the second one hitting the flame stupid all right i'm gonna read the description of this bass oh it's hard to do the sounds isn't it Nailed it Okay
Starting point is 00:09:52 Here's This is alpha names A words Powerful and remarkable names Plus logos Plus terms Which begin with Letter A and beyond
Starting point is 00:10:01 Okay Oh so are all of them A? All A Arctos All alpha The first post From four years ago Is Arctos
Starting point is 00:10:09 Greek Arctos And I guess I guess it could mean Arctis as well And it was a centaur That fought a lapid spearmint. I see no kinship
Starting point is 00:10:19 in the eyes of the Arctos. What Jeremy is referring to is the picture next to the word Arctos is a big polar bear. I think Arctos means bear. It says Arctos. In Greek. Oh. Arctos. Oh, maybe not. Was it Centaur? May also refer to bears in Greek.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Who fought against spearmen. Alright, you know what? It's one of those two. I gotta give you the credit it says it may also refer to bears in Greek. This is a key name and it has much power. Now scroll down. I want to see what other names they got on alpha names if you're a hairy gay guy who also fights spearmen you might be an arctus folks i am black i am gay i am a hairy spearman who fights bears
Starting point is 00:10:59 okay all right i think we're gonna get a lot of good use out of the andrew cuomo one i mean it has a high flexibility um okay so the next name on our a names or alpha names amazing into awesome names, words, terms is Asteria. In Greek mythology, Asteria or Asteri was a daughter of the titans Coeus and Phoebe and the sister of Leto.
Starting point is 00:11:27 That's also a story. What is this? The cast of Friends? I know. No, it's not though. It's all the A names. I am Phoebe. I am black. I don't know why they gave up on the space.
Starting point is 00:11:49 It seems like you'd never run out. It's so cool. And this is, I didn't realize Astoria was a Greek mythology thing. I thought it was just the place in Queens, but I guess they are all Greek over there, huh? That's true, actually. If you don't live in New York, they're all Greek over there. In Astoria, right? The diners?
Starting point is 00:12:04 You're correct. Thank you. Is there anything, do we want to just read more A names? Yes. What is the podcast? Clearly we do. Scroll, scroll. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:12 The next one is Affirm. From Latin, Affirmar. Affirmar. Okay, so you would notice that this one is not a name per se, unless it's like an alternative name like Memory. It's the name of a company by Sony called Affirm Films. I would have a boy named Affirm. You can't just name them words.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Why not? Are you going to stop me? Are you going to stop me, a pipsqueak like you? I'm only imagining your son Memory in fights, but at one time he hits someone who says, an elf never forgets. And in that case, he's punching an elephant. Yeah, well, his name is memory attack.
Starting point is 00:12:47 He's in a fight at the zoo. Look how many companies are named Affirm. Now that makes it pretty alpha. They've listed every company with it. Okay, up next is Abjure. We're done with Affirm. We're on to Abjure. Abjure, it's written in sort of a metal band text font.
Starting point is 00:13:07 To renounce an oath. Now, underneath the metal band font, there's two pigeons talking from Zorus.plus which I think is a website and one's wearing a hat and he's talking to a graduation cap pigeon and he says what are other words for abjure and then the graduation cap pigeon says
Starting point is 00:13:23 recant, retract, force wear, renounce, repudiate deny, reject, disavow, give up, withdraw well my favorite thing about the pigeon with the graduation cap he's also wearing sort of a cut out the crust of a bread the crust of a bread so picture
Starting point is 00:13:39 the inside of the bread has been sort of eaten potentially by this pigeon. If bread is a picture frame, this bird has jammed his head through the frame as if to surprise you. Makes me think he's not the smartest pigeon. Well, maybe I think in pigeon society it could display great status
Starting point is 00:14:00 to have a crust around your neck. True, true. I want to look at who's running this space because it's only got, we haven't said it only has 159 followers and one contributor. Hillary. clinton and the the contribute the one contributor is of course former secretary of state hillary
Starting point is 00:14:15 clinton no it's amon for nom h i bet a lot of you guessed that at home okay this is a classic amon for nom h this is like extreme schizo quora profile right i mean this guy does have 26 000 followers i don't know how to describe it i mean all of it is like different letters and capitalizations cryptic joyful templars video freed mason we should we should say he's he's following 26 000 people you're right i did misread that i did misread that he's only has 2500 you're giving him a major clout bump here i did yeah that's on me dog 2500 quora followers is not bad uh the numbers on the website you have to consider do scale down uh that way but his posts are mostly about the letter A
Starting point is 00:15:03 and about being God. So we've pulled up one here with a bunch of movie posters on it that says, I am God. There's a quote in the middle from Morgan Freeman that says, I am God, so it's easy to play him. They say God is in all things.
Starting point is 00:15:15 So if God is in me, then I am God. Therefore, I am God. God does not exist without me. And then there's a poster for the Matrix trilogy. Cool. A poster with all of the Jokers, including Mark Hamill's animated Joker.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Oh, Xerxes with King Leonidas and 300 yeah so some pretty cool stuff here i think that he's saying that he might is pretty much the same as morgan freeman because he is the god of listing a names right and also he's he's got a gif of dan harman here i think harman gif uh so he's god he's got a lot of cool god stuff he's got so many movie memes here three amigos in here somewhere this is a great find huge this is premium stuff i mean this guy's god now he's just supposed to so many three anchor man okay he hasn't been around for a while anchor man is that's an a name i'm trying to read what his like third questions are but they're very confusing what do you do in order to maintain
Starting point is 00:16:21 godly goodness gut 646 within since god is omnipresent if nato is retro arius then what type of gladiator is russia did art word create fart god or did fart god create art word otherwise what is your alternative creative scenario if you're watching the youtube jeremy's robot curtains have descended yeah plunging the room into darkness you want to turn a light on i i don't know i kind of like this romantic aesthetic we have going but just if you're confused It's not that a comet has struck New York. There is a robot curtain. And sometimes it decides that we got to turn it off down here.
Starting point is 00:17:02 We got to go to bed. I can open it. No, no, no. Robot open curtain. If that worked, I'd be so impressed. I would be really legitimately impressed. It only works if my wife in the other room hears us and plays along, but it doesn't. For shame, your wife.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Let's move on to our questions. Yes, please. This is stressing me out, honestly. Yeah, maybe you should pull up beta names for me. All right. Come on now. Let's go on to querenting, which we haven't done in a while, by the way. That's enough.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Now, this first batch of names are going to be a little samey, but they're equally worth diving into. Okay, so this first question is, what name should I name my son? His name is Porky Bones Jones, but people are telling me I shouldn't have named him Porky after his great-grandfather's death. What happened to his great-grandfather? Porky. Okay, so for some reason in my head, Porky Bones Jones, I'm like, that's the worst name I ever heard. But then when he's like, his great-grandfather is named Porky,
Starting point is 00:18:03 I'm like, that makes sense for some reason. That's a family name. That's a name from that era. Yeah, that's a great-grandpa name. And then imagine that your last name is Jones. Are you not putting Bones as the middle name? Oh, yeah, I mean, it rhymes. Seems like the obvious choice.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Memory Bones Batak. I store my memories in my bones. Something to remember me by when I break yours. When you do have another kid and it's a boy, I'm going to be actually mad if you don't name him. I had a lot of good girl names, too. They're kind of evading me right now. What was the website you found that was all spider names for your kids?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Oh, that was pretty samey. They were all like, name your child Arachne. Name them. Spinneret. Spinneret. Was it one like Tarantulon? Yeah, one was Tarantulon. The boy names were very aggro, I gotta say.
Starting point is 00:18:57 The girl ones kind of made more sense. Girls are more spidery. Oh, yeah, I agree with that. I think all of us would agree to that. Webb is a good name. I believe Webb was on the list. Madam Webb. I would like to focus for just a moment on Porky Bones Jones.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Please, please, please. Please, Porky Bones Jones. We have a response from Robin Parker, who lives in Australia. So not Anglo-spotted. Do it in the accent. I'm not. I can't do the accent. It slips into other things every time.
Starting point is 00:19:25 And then people write in and they say, I'm not Scottish or whatever. Okay, so I'm going to just read hers normal style. Yeah, normal style. Australian accent. Porky is bad. Nothing wrong with that. But porky bones. Bones.
Starting point is 00:19:43 All I'm thinking about is pork, like pig meat. I don't care what you name your kid, but your kid will grow up with it. I lost it already. You don't have to do it, but I do like the idea of an Australian listening and being like, well, I'm just going to have to throw your son on the Barbie. He's a damn pork. I won't be able to resist. Anyway, so could you imagine being the kid growing up with it?
Starting point is 00:20:09 I get wanting the name after your late loved one, but it's not a name a kid will get by with easily in school. also and i'm sorry for your loss porky is just an incredibly funny name not one i would suggest to subject a child to having so robin says porky is too funny to name your your son i do think that if you name your kid porky there's like a 99 chance that he gets bullied sure but there is a one percent chance that he's really cool yeah i mean just fucking owns it god forbid that he's a big fat kid too that's that's the thing if he's a big fat kid it's like it's done he's shooting up school and not just with you know ham or whatever okay i don't think little little sausages yeah a gun that's full i don't think that shootings are funny i'm not making a fun light of mass
Starting point is 00:20:58 shootings in any way even ones that with a sausage gun imagining seeing on the news 10 have died in a tragic shooting after porky bones jones brought a gun into school we never should have let him in uh there is a related question that i did not put in our doc but i did really like reading out loud which is can i name my son baby lee i like that what about the first one can i name my new son shoddy yeah is that shoddy or is that like shoddy i think it's shoddy okay i thought it was like shoddy it's s-h-a-w-d-i-e shoddy is there any meaning for that isn't shoddy at the party. Shoddy like a memory bones patak in my head.
Starting point is 00:21:46 It's not the same, though, because memory is actually a beautiful name as well. Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry. It has a beautiful violence to it. Shoddy is not as nice as memory. What about like memory, if it's a girl, Memoria? It'd be like Hilaria. That's good, but honestly,
Starting point is 00:22:02 I feel like girl names are just better because you think of like beautiful names and then they go to girls, whereas boy names, you don't want them to be too beautiful because then you'll raise a vain emperor. What if instead of memory, memory is his nickname, but his full name is Memorandum? Oh, I would like that.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It sounds stern when it comes out of your mouth. Memorandum Bones Patak. His real name is still Bones. Bones isn't short for anything. Shermaine Lauren says, what's the great grandfather's first name? Surely his name isn't Porky or is it a nickname? I assume it was Porky.
Starting point is 00:22:36 It's Porky. His name is Porky. In the past, it was very honorable to be named that. I like someone saying, remember Porky Pig Comics? I do remember that, and it is what I thought of. Also, what is the movie Porky's about? Like a cool guy. Horny guys.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Who ends up doing a mass shooting at his school. That is not what it's about. Horny guys doing a mass shooting at their school. Unless Jeremy wrote this movie. I didn't write that movie. This guy gives a list of Christian names that you could do. Although, this is from a different question. and what name should I give to my son?
Starting point is 00:23:08 Well, that's no fun. Those are no fun at all. All right, go to the next question, because we have more name questions here. These are important answers. Lori says, horrible name. I feel sorry for your son. Paul says, his name is perfect.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Leave it how it is. That's how I felt as well. And then Porky's Mama says, that's Paul. Who's Porky's Mama? I don't know. Was this account made for this post? Okay, hold on. I have to find out.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I like to think so. I'm going to first go to the question log and see who asked this question. It is Porky's mama. Okay, all right. Porky's mama has really good questions, such as, I don't, a divorce from my crazy hubby Gary. We're only dating now?
Starting point is 00:23:48 Oh, no. I just found out, I just found a dark curly hair in my shower. I'm a blonde and my hubby is a ginger. I'm assuming he cheated again. What do I do? Oh, no, Porky's mama. A lot of stuff about her hubby cheating.
Starting point is 00:23:59 So this is like, Porky is literally that wolf in the Divorced Wolf meme. Okay, there's actually a lot more info here. Look at this. Real quick, before we read the more Porky stuff, why does your tongue turn the color of the thing you eat, for example, a popsicle? And that's got a U in it, so that's an Anglo.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Oh, very relevant. Porky Jones. Anglo spotted. I can't believe that it's an Anglo. Porky Bones Jones sounds so American to me. Okay, we need to read some more Porky questions. Can people respect the backstory of my son Porky's name? Grow up, people.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Let me be his name as Porky Bones Jones. I am considering renaming him. Comment names be unique with the names. Just want people to know that I am 100% upset right now. Crying emoji. Crying emoji. Crying emoji I usually see in situations where they're cry laughing, so this is somewhat of a surprise.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Wait, go up, go up, go up. Oh, sorry. In this context, she's weeping. This one right above it. Hey guys, I'm sorry for the whole Porky thing It was stupid and I didn't think It would get this much attention Me and my friend thought it would be funny
Starting point is 00:25:06 But now we can see that it's clearly not We won't do this again We're sorry if you believed So Porky Bones Jones isn't real? It's not even real Well why did I cover it on my important podcast? And she's Canadian, not English? I mean, we can't believe a thing she says
Starting point is 00:25:23 She lies on the internet Porky's mama I'm sorry. This was me and my friend coming up with this funny thing. Jeremy is now Googling Porky Bones Jones like that's going to do anything for him. You want to see if this is actually a real person? Yes, I want to see him. Show me Porky Bones Jones.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I don't know what you thought Google would do for you in this instance. Make him real. Google, make him real. I want to meet Porky Bones Jones. I do believe in Porky. I do. All right, fine. We'll move on from Porky Bones Jones.
Starting point is 00:25:55 here's another question is reinhardt an offensive name i really want to name my son as reinhardt now i have not heard anyone be offended by reinhardt i i don't know this name is that what does that mean it's the name of the tank in overwatch that's what i was thinking as well and that's the one i know but it is also like an actual name it's not like porky bones jones oh porky yeah i mean it's a great name i can't believe i believed her lies okay so barbara I wish I could go back in time to this episode and give myself a note that says do not believe her lies. She is lying about having a Sunday porky for clout. Porky's mama is not telling the truth.
Starting point is 00:26:31 She's just trying to get a deal. She wants to make a coin. She wants to make porky coin and do a rug pull. Oh, my God. Oh, baby. Sorry, I was looking for the coin. Oh. I got it.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Barbara Weatherford Wright says, I would fear that kids would tease him in school. Is it raining hard today? How hard are you raining? What? What? Oh, Rain Hard. It's a long walk to get there. It's a long walk to a stupid cliff.
Starting point is 00:26:57 There are also sexual implications with hard. Growing up is hard enough. Please don't saddle yourself with a name that will invite teasing. I think that kids will make fun of you no matter what. They sense weakness in you, and they'll find a way to do it. They don't need to be clever. All you need to do is not be weak, and that's all we ask. I can't imagine a Reinhard being weak now that you mention it.
Starting point is 00:27:18 It has a lot of hard sounds. i remember kids in like elementary school calling me a nazi because jeremy sounds like germany so it's not like they need to be like it doesn't have to there's no good name you know what i mean like they'll find something that's true i i really don't understand the people who uh pick the names for their kids by thinking of bad nicknames and working backwards it doesn't make any sense you can make a bad nickname out of anything it's very easy kids are weak it's not all porky bones jones all the way down when my uh niece was born they were gonna they called her daphne and uh nick's mom my husband's mom was like don't call her daphne kids will make fun of her and they were
Starting point is 00:27:57 like why she's like i don't know they'll say like daphne duck daphne duck i don't think kids will know who daffy duck even is they'll say she's daphne duck daphne duck like out of space jam how hard is it raining today rain hard i claire did did your mom i mean did nick's mom just think that this like daphne duck was the name of daffy duck no no i think she just thought it was a similar name to Daffy. There's also a chance... She heard Daffy. There's a chance the Warner Brothers extended universe does include a Daphne
Starting point is 00:28:37 duck. It's like a Daphne duck with big eyes. Like a daisy duck. No way to tell. Like a Tiny Toons. Johann Niehoff says no, it is in no way an offensive name. It's an old Germanic name. So don't worry about that. Actually, Reinhardt is a great name. Check out Reinhardt.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Check out Overwatch. The latest title from Blizzard Media Games. Can we see more from this person? Do you think that they've asked more questions about names? I think they probably nailed it and got off of it. No, no, no, no. I'm just on quarter to name my son. All right, this is the third one, and then the last one about name suggestions.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Okay. How should I respond to people who criticize me for naming my child Peekaboo? It's a great name, honestly. Oh, grow up. I think that's a great name, Peekaboo. Peekaboo, it's my child. Peekaboo Kaplowitz. Here I am, Peekaboo.
Starting point is 00:29:24 There is one famous Peekaboo. Is there? peekaboo street was a famous like olympic skier back in the 90s look at that maybe this question is from the 90s is this question from the 90s it's for it says nine years ago when was that okay never mind her name is spelled peekaboo this one is p-i-c-a-b-o street whereas peekaboo in the quora question is like e-e-k if you're surprising a child how you spell it yeah i remember Maybe because when I was little, I heard it as Peek-A-Boo. You just really wanted her name to be Peek-A-Boo Street.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I really did. You just loved the idea of a street full of surprises. When you're a little kid, you're dying to go to Peek-A-Boo Street. Oh, my God. Everyone popping out from behind walls the whole time. Jumping out of trash cans. Jeremy getting off of Peek-A-Boo Street. Peek-A-Boo.
Starting point is 00:30:16 In the early 2000s, an internet joke spread, which claimed Street made a substantial donation to her hometown hospital, which named a wing after her the peekaboo icu as a peekaboo icu that's funny to babies that's hilarious now this has been debunked by snopes no fun allowed no you can't go to a hospital named that it's not fucking funny and if you were there it would be because you're sick or really hurt So knock it off. We have an answer from Thomas Harris here. Okay, read it.
Starting point is 00:30:53 And he's going to take her down. From nine years ago, by the way. I assume, by the way, that this is a woman. Thomas, I think, is a man. No, I mean the one who asked the question. Peekaboo one. I named my son Peekaboo. Everyone's so cruel to me.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Thomas says, Cora can't answer how you respond to people criticizing you because your response is personal to you. Anyway, I'm going to preach what everyone else here said with a little more spice. Peekaboo is a god-awful name. Seriously, it must take a great deal of ingenuity to come up with a name so amazingly appalling. I've read a lot of responses saying it would maybe be a cute name for a baby.
Starting point is 00:31:27 No, not even a baby. Not even a baby. Even if you view as your cute little honey bun, it is already a human being with a life of its own. I'm not entirely sure how it looks in the U.S., but many places have restrictions on naming children, and for good reason. a name is actually a big deal i think that's true this is bolded a name can mean all the difference between a normal happy healthy life and a life of misery or resentment that was way too long a sentence to clap well it's important and so it's bolded and it should be clapped it's like when people name their dogs and cats peanut butter mr fluffykins or puddings pets and babies
Starting point is 00:32:09 don't make much other names but it does tell something about the ones that gave it that they you the sole existence of their pet baby as devoted to being their cute cuddly plush toy no why can't you name a dog peanut butter who cares well because the dog is your thrall it's your slave and so you can name it whatever you want but your baby is not and i agree with that i think it would be bad to name a baby mr fluffykins this is what we're talking about today is the power of names straight up i'm gonna say it's probably bad to put mr in any name for a baby when you were named jeremy did it turn you into the man you are today was your experience molded by your Jeremy?
Starting point is 00:32:46 My parents told me that they really wanted to give me a unique name that wasn't too popular. So they gave me the name Jeremy and my mom tells me all the time
Starting point is 00:32:53 that she regrets it because it was not unique enough. It's not very unique. She's correct in that. If that was her goal, she failed. She did fail.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Do you think if your name was like Jehoshaphat, you wouldn't have had to take testosterone as a child? Yeah, I think I naturally would be 6'5".
Starting point is 00:33:10 That's what I'm saying. You'd be like a Jack Reacher type. Yeah, I think I'd be Jack Reacher. That's what my parents should have named me. Jack Reacher. One word, Jack Reacher.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Jack Reacher. And he's six foot five as a baby. People think my name is Jeremiah. You're reaching for your Jack, Jack. Oh, my God. No! You mean like Jack Reacher Duck, they'd say? That would be humiliating.
Starting point is 00:33:37 That would be humiliating. Thank God it didn't happen. Luckily, I was never bullied as a child. Anyway, I think Peekaboo is not even that bad. No, I think it's cute. I'd say it's more socially normal than Porky Bones Jones. Claire, were you ever made fun of for your name as a kid? Nah.
Starting point is 00:33:52 I was going to say, sometimes people say Claire Bear, and I go, okay. Well, that's cute. I see no kinship in the eyes of the Claire Bear. I get you, Claire Bear. I see kinship in the eyes of the Claire Bear. Are you a type of bear? No, no form of me is a bear of any kind. Left out.
Starting point is 00:34:09 That sucks for you, man. It's just I wish I was a bear, but I'm not. People really gravitate to my last name because it was hard to say, and so I got called my last name frequently as my full name. P-Tac. They would say P-Tac. And that's tough because it doesn't have enough vowels as it should in America. And so my life was fraught.
Starting point is 00:34:28 And I might as well have been a peekaboo from this stance. Anyway, I think you can name your baby Pikachu. Oh, my God. Peekaboo. You can name your baby Pikachu? I think any of these are fine. Oh, Pikachu's good. This is from you.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Who's that Pokemon? It's peekaboo. It's already paying off. All the money we invested into that sound is already paying us back. The buttons write themselves. Let's go to Quasi-V. This is our philosophical segment. The power of names
Starting point is 00:35:13 Do I have to use my real name on Quora? What is Quora's real names policy? So I thought this was an interesting discussion To get into the weeds of the website here Because this is from 10 years ago I mean, we are on here as Alberto Mysterio because we had my name and picture and people kept clicking on me and calling me it. And I didn't like that. No one ever did that, by the way.
Starting point is 00:35:40 They did. When we said we were a formal former admiral, they said, yeah, right in New York. And then they'd like look at my address and stuff. I didn't like that. But anyway, so I don't know if this policy started later on into the website's birth or whatever. but you can tell people are kind of reacting to it 10 years ago. This is an answer from anonymous who I answered a similar, but different question.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Taking in mind that there are already rules regarding the contents of any messages here, keeping things polite and respectful. The severe privacy restriction quorum posed on their users is not just necessary. It is unnecessary. Unnecessary is downright shameful. So does this mean that you used to not be allowed to use your real name?
Starting point is 00:36:21 Yeah, I think you're right. I think this is fake. I think this is some sort of Facebook post that's like, if you don't copy and paste this to 10 different people, Facebook now owns your dog. And I think people are just falling for a fake thing. I don't think Quora ever made you use a real name. There's no real name policy. No, I don't think they – I think they made you not use – or they suggested you don't use your real name.
Starting point is 00:36:44 But then enough people were like, but I want it to be Facebook. Yes. I want to have my friends on here, so I want to put my full name and address. Quora's real name policy was very similar to China's one-child policy. And that it was very implemented top-down to establish order in their unruly ranks. Now, as a Chinese spy, how do you feel about the one-child policy? Because I feel like you have all these names you want to give to children. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:10 That would limit you pretty severely. It would, but I love that it worked like a dream. The one-child policy? Yep. Okay. We got lots of one-childs out of that, just like we planned. Great move, Charlie. I guess that is a-
Starting point is 00:37:24 Do you have your own one-child policy over there, Alex? Well, I already have one, so nailed it there. But I could have up to 10. Whoa. Wouldn't that be- We'd have our own podcast. Oh, yeah, you could. It doesn't count if you have them with different people.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Oh. One per woman. It's really up to my wife then at that point, because I'm doing very little work in the whole thing. It's astounding how little work I do. But anyway, we got another answer from another anonymous. I was looking forward to contributing to the many great and informative topics discussed on this site, but as I am required to use my real name, I can't see this happening.
Starting point is 00:38:03 I was gonna Quora, but now I'm taking my business to Ask Jeeves. Which is, of course, a search engine. I'm taking my business to Yahoo Answers, A thing that will be around for a long time. That is the year 2017. As long as we have submitted our real name when opening an account, we should be able to use any username we desire. I am a member of many forums and not once have I been expected to use my
Starting point is 00:38:30 real name as my username. I like to express my thoughts freely and openly, but respectfully, and I can't do that under my real name. There are issues I would like to discuss without running the risk as slim as it may be of someone I know reading it. This is a problem with wanting to have a real name rule on a website for perverts. Because how are you going to write your cuckold fantasies if your wife sees it?
Starting point is 00:38:53 People see where you went to high school. If a podcast finds your ass and then reads your whole name out loud. Everyone knows which Costco you work at. I mean, I wouldn't put my real name on here like I did. I found that out and I changed it as soon as I could. Even if this was a rule, what, is Quora going to require you to upload your fucking ID? Just put a different name. I think they'd get a lot of respect if they did that.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Just say Bill Smith. That's super pro to me. Yeah, Bill Smith. Isn't Pornhub doing that now? Pornhub's making you use real names on there? I think in Texas or somewhere, you have to log in. Really? You have to have your ID.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Confirm with the state that you are 18. Wow. South Korea style. Or South Korea, they don't let you watch porn at all. Really? Yeah. Really? Yeah, there's a national firewall.
Starting point is 00:39:44 And then how do they jack off? Soap operas. They watch K-pop. They watch K-pop Demon Hunters. And they say, this is close enough. These are real women to me. And when they sing songs, I come. Up, up, up.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Yeah, up, up, up. My erection goes up, up, up. This is a film I look forward to watching many times. Hashtag girl dad. Hashtag dad of girl. not just memories dad girl dad do we have any other good answers on this i like the the back and forth on how extreme people's opinions are um hazel angus says i got dinged for using a fake name i changed my real name to an
Starting point is 00:40:26 obviously fake one and i find that i find amusing either i had not seen or been told that were required for real names so far more likely i'd seen it and then completely forgotten whoops so Oh, Hazel Angus isn't even your real name? That's such a beautiful name, Hazel. How many of these funny names I've been reading haven't been the real ones? From York. Yeah, this is somebody from the Easingwald School.
Starting point is 00:40:48 So you know how they are. Is that even true? And he knows about homosexuality. So Andrew Lacombe says, hey, I'm disgusted that this policy exists. Okay. And then talks about being trans. Oh, so this gets into the discussion
Starting point is 00:41:02 we were going to have, which is just, can you only change your name if you're trans? Right, right. Which you feel is the one respectable way for your child to change their name if they're transgender. Well, you got to respect it. It's off limits. Right.
Starting point is 00:41:13 I'm not allowed to not respect it because then I'm disparaging a whole group of people. Yes. But I really just want you to keep the crazy name I gave you. Now, this question is from Charlie Cheever. Charlie Cheever. Is this his real name? It says he's the founder of Quora. Is this the founder of Quora, Charlie Cheever?
Starting point is 00:41:31 Yeah, this is the co-founder of Quora. Huge lore drop this episode And he knows about Linsanity He only has 56,000 followers too How did we get here? This is the person who asked the question Do I have to use my real name on Quora? You'd think you would know
Starting point is 00:41:51 Charlie Cheever This is the worst fucking website, man It's so bad They haven't used the website He hasn't used it in five years Bro thinks he's Charlie Cheever He cashed out He's got a blue check
Starting point is 00:42:03 That's crazy It seems that it's really him maybe this is like a troll this is someone being like oh i'm trolling the quora mods by using the name of the founder but he does have a blue check no i think it's him this is the charlie cheever and he just he didn't know the rule for his own website i think that maybe it just must be so hard for him to follow because his name sounds so fake it sounds so fake chat there is no way this is the real charlie cheever this is a fake cloud shark he's aura farming charlie cheever chat oh yeah he's mogging he's he's web mogging charlie cheever he's core
Starting point is 00:42:44 mogging him um well i don't know yeah i think this website is bad and it's funny to me that one of the co-founders doesn't know how it works one of his last questions is the apple newsstand working i couldn't tell you charlie that's from 12 years ago i would say yes so this guy quit i think he just cashed out he probably makes like ai sex bots now i'm looking he definitely cashed out he's only 44 and ladies he's single is he single i don't know i just said that is he wearing braces in that we can go to yeah he is he's well adults with money often get braces so that they become more handsome um true when did he leave quora i actually had a bunch of co-workers with This is my last job.
Starting point is 00:43:23 Now I'm remembering. It was founded in 2009 by Adam, D'Angelo, and Cheever, which, again, is a great name. Cheever for short. D'Angelo stayed on as CEO, but it doesn't say what he did. No, now he works. He worked at Facebook. He worked at BunnyWall.
Starting point is 00:43:36 I think they both worked at Facebook first. If you're dying to know something about Charlie Cheever, why don't you go to ccheever.com? Yeah. It's on Blue Sky. That sucks. It just links to your Blue Sky, where you have 6,000 followers. Jeremy is crushing your following.
Starting point is 00:43:53 What is Expo? What is this thing he's doing now that's called Expo to navigation? You're not on any starter packs, Charlie Cheever. I'm going on Blue Sky to follow Charlie Cheever because I want to get him on our podcast. Who's this Pokemon? Who's this Pokemon? It's Charlie Cheever. Who's that Pokemon?
Starting point is 00:44:14 I can DM him. Should I just DM this guy? Yeah, DM Charlie Cheever and be like, What should I say to him? Charlie, bro, I podcast about your website every week, LMAO. I know you don't work there anymore, but LMAO. I'm going to say hello. Charlie, I have a podcast about Quora.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Would you ever want to come on as a guest? Okay. I'd love to get to the bottom of this with this, I'm sure, hilarious individual. He's one of the founders of Quora. You don't want to have him on the podcast? Not if he's going to disparage its good name. I think he is going to be really good. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:44:51 I think it would be cool to have one of the co-founders of Quora on our website. I don't think he understands what it's about anymore. Quora? Yeah. Who'd learn so much, though? He sold it. He sold out. We don't know if that's even true.
Starting point is 00:45:05 He sold out. He's busy with Expo. Everything's Expo. He's going to be talking about Expo. We're going to be Expo raiders. Imagine the awful version of the social network about Quora, though. Imagine a website where anyone can post photos of themselves all wet wearing their clothes. Am I horny for girls?
Starting point is 00:45:27 Okay, chat, we're going to need you and the Patreon to donate at least ten times as much as you're donating now so we can make this independent film about the beginning of Quora. I would love that. That's a really good idea. I've reached out to Cheve. We made one 10-minute film. Why can't we make a major motion picture? Seems easy.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Cheve. Come on, Charlie. All right, Cheve. Hop on the show. Let's move to the next question. Okay. Wow, that's a huge get. Well, we haven't gotten him yet.
Starting point is 00:45:57 We've just seen him. Here's a question. Do you use a different name at Starbucks? If so, why? And what is the name? Is this a thing many people do? I know that people will say, I am Charlie Kirk. Oh.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Or they'll do things like, I'm George Floyd. That's the only example I can think of of people changing their names at Starbucks. Okay, well, there is a comment here from someone who says, yes, they do. Because their name is Isis. She says, my name is Isis. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't use my real name in fear I'll get some shit from random people or because I'll be put in the spotlight by strangers. Now, I get that.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I don't think that if I worked at Starbucks, I would think that this person was trolling. Yeah. But it is really funny to imagine going to a Starbucks and being like, what's your name? And the person says, Isis. It's also nine years ago. How dare you? Isis was more around then at the time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:46 If your name's Isis, you got to have a quick nickname up your sleeve. Isil. You're Izzy. Oh, yeah, that works. Izzy. At the counter or Isil, which would also be fine. That's what Barack Obama calls you. I think it's cool to change your name at Starbucks if it is like you have an evocative name like Kevin Spacey or Isis.
Starting point is 00:47:06 I think it's like. Peekaboo. You don't have to say Spacey. If your name is Kevin, by the way. If your name is Kevin Spacey, you can just say Kevin. I think Kevin Spacey should probably change his name at Starbucks. If I was named Memory, I would probably change my name at Starbucks. If I was Kevin Spacey at Starbucks, I would make them walk me into my Frank Underwood impression
Starting point is 00:47:28 by having them say Frank Underwood, and then I would knock on the counter and I'd say, you mean me? And then I'd do my whole thing and I'd get all the attention that I love. I do like the idea of someone who gets a weird rush out of changing their name at the Starbucks. Going to Starbucks and being like, my name? Oh, it's Bill. Like the movie Crash, but instead of having sex in cars, it's changing your name at Starbucks. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:55 It would be as weird. There are a lot of victims of that, too. That could be dangerous. It's not worth the risk. Ride inside the subway. I mean, I've talked about this so much on this podcast, how I hate when people know who I am at places. So I can see the appeal of doing something like this, but those people don't know my
Starting point is 00:48:15 name. They just know my order. Oh, yes. Say his order. Hashtag say his order. Oh, but is it Mr. Ice Coffee again? Right. Back again for an iced coffee, you sick fuck.
Starting point is 00:48:26 No, they're all very nice. This is the problem. Yeah, they want to be part of your family and you want to push them away. Yeah. Why won't you let them in? I don't want I mean I'm not an extrovert like you it's not being extroverted it's just talking to people you see all the time you're the most extroverted person I've ever met that's that can't be true that is true it can't be true scroll down I want to see what Robert Puckett
Starting point is 00:48:47 said oh he's probably gonna say that thing about the man from Nantucket oh he said if there's another male in front of me ordering I'll often say I have the same name as that guy so I'll just give you my last name which is Puckett you don't need that much backstory just say Rob and then he says Puckett then he spells it out and then he says
Starting point is 00:49:06 then I wait my last name looks like it sounds you know rhymes with bucket or fuck well you get it they will either stumble
Starting point is 00:49:14 trying to pronounce um Poo-shay I'm not trying I'm not trying to be edgy or anything like that but I do think that someone should
Starting point is 00:49:20 kill this man I don't think this has ever happened either I don't think anyone has called you Poo-shay at Starbucks
Starting point is 00:49:25 this is projection you're like you know how gay and French they are at Starbucks they'll probably call me poochie my name's poochie it's pocket even though i said pocket my name is bobby lee baby lee my name is baby lee i always every time i go to the starbucks i do say my name is porky
Starting point is 00:49:47 bones jones and i'll have a coffee thank you i didn't know that that was the best name until this episode porky bones jones i have not heard a better one no no that's the winner so far And we are deciding which one is the best day. It lights up my life. Have we played all the new sounds? Yeah, we had three of them. Okay, okay. Just making sure.
Starting point is 00:50:09 There weren't that many. Wait, we need one for when we stumble upon Australians. Yeah, we probably do. Just so we don't have to do the accent every time. Aussie spot. I pray I can stop doing it. It doesn't sound good. Who's that Pokemon?
Starting point is 00:50:28 It's Australians. It's Porky Bones Jones. Fine. Okay, go down. We can't read more of these. Okay, fine. Yeah, people are just lying now. Don't go on Quora and lie.
Starting point is 00:50:40 We're trying to get to the bottom of something. They always lie. Good morning. Welcome to Starbucks. What can I get for you today? Me, good morning. I'd like a double tall nonfat with whipped peppermint mocha. Barista, okay, that's a double tall nonfat with whipped peppermint mocha.
Starting point is 00:50:52 And what's your name? Me, Alicia, followed by great, Lisa Scribbling, or great. And how do you spell that? Oh, my God. It's so crazy. It's so hard. So what do you say? What's your favorite?
Starting point is 00:51:02 Okay, okay, okay. My wife is named Alyssa, and this does happen to her, and it makes me laugh that people get her name wrong, and they think she's Alicia. Who cares? Well, I think it's cool, and it makes her Latina. People call my wife Claro or Clare. Claro.
Starting point is 00:51:18 People say Clay a lot. Clay. That's how I say my name sometimes. I got Clay Aiken on the brain. Clay is a good one. My name's Clay Aiken. All right, this is the big philosophical discussion of the episode. are only transgender people allowed to use the term dead name.
Starting point is 00:51:33 Now, I know one example of a guy who changed his name. I also do. Silly Willie style. I also do. And he would often complain about being dead named. This was my friend who had a normal name that a big hockey player had. And so he changed his name to Sherm. And then everyone in the world said, I'm not calling you Sherm.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Well, he changed. He's not Sherm anymore, though. No, he gave up because he was stuck. He quit comedy. Well, he quit comedy, but also I think unrelated just that he wanted to be Sherman. It wasn't cashed on. Sherm? Do you not know this guy, Clint?
Starting point is 00:52:10 You know this guy? No, it wasn't Sherm. He was a comedian in New York. I'm not trying to talk shit around him. This is the only example I can think of. He did not change his identity. He was just like, I'm Sherm, like weed. And then people were like, you're not, you can't be weed.
Starting point is 00:52:23 When I was in college. Your name isn't weed. When I was in college, there was this comedian named Kevin who was sort of known legendarily for having a giant cock. That was his big thing. He had children with many women all around upstate New York. He eventually moved to the city. He passed away a few years ago. But he changed his name to Xavier.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Xavier. And he was very specific. It's not Xavier. It is Xavier. No last name. and people would call him Kevin all the time and he would be like, don't dead name me. And I was always like, I respect you.
Starting point is 00:52:57 I'm going to call you your name. You are not trance. You are running from the government. You changed your name because the government is after you for child support bills because you have so many babies. Well, that's kind of the most valid reason to change your name is you're an outlaw.
Starting point is 00:53:10 I guess I would make an exception for outlaws. He was just like... You can't use the term dead name for being an out when you're an outlaw i think you should use a different term like uh kevin is dead the police are after him right i mean look r.i.p kevin you you gave me you paid me the first time to do comedy many times over uh we miss you but i think the lesson is you can't change your name to weed xavier if you change your name to weed people are gonna just think hey you're not you can't do that to weed yeah you can't be sherm that's a cool name for weed oh i don't know i
Starting point is 00:53:48 Yeah, you ever smoked that sherm? That's me. Can you play the Who's That Pokemon? I can, but it's far away. Who's That Pokemon? It's sherm. It's sherm. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:54:08 You really got my ass there. Okay, it's sherm. Back and forth on this. This is for an answer from Erica, who's a lesbian icon. She says, this is complicated because allowed means there are rules and there is a group that applies punishment when those rules are broken. There are no rules about self-naming except for certain rules, names, and some countries.
Starting point is 00:54:27 I agree with Erica. It is a no-man's land of chaos and anarchy where names are concerned, which is why there's so much power in the power of names. She says there are a lot of reasons why people change their names. Marriage and divorce are probably the most common. Oh, their last names, right? I didn't even think about last names. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:54:44 But I can think of a number of legitimate reasons why a person might leave their birth name behind them legally. A person who grew up in an abusive home, perhaps, who needed to remove that name from their life in order to heal seems like a valid reason. Totally. So, like, if Sherm was trying to heal and was like, I would feel much better if I was named after Weed, then we would all have to respect that. But because it was just a cool, catchy name he was trying to catch on, it was unacceptable.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Are we all in marriages where we didn't change, no one changed their last name? Is that over, changing your last name? Is that done? We're big city liberals. I think for the elites on the coast. Oh, okay. Maybe you're right. Maybe you're right.
Starting point is 00:55:23 I didn't have the political capital to own my wife after we married. My mom begged my wife not to change her last name because she thinks my last name is bad. What's wrong with your last name? Because it's too long. It's not even that long. She says it's too long. I only have one rule for these nets is that I'm against the hyphenates. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:41 You can't do that. I think it's a road to nowhere. No, don't be hyphenating. my dad almost changed he wanted to they didn't like my my last name so much that they almost just made our last name nelson oh isn't that crazy gross they were almost just like fuck it let's just name it a new thing oh like the simpsons yeah like the simpsons gross might as well be sherm my mom didn't take my dad's last name neither did mine because i think she didn't like the way it sounded and i don't think he cared my mom was sort of like a uh i don't know
Starting point is 00:56:11 80s feminist and just was like i am not taking that name well it doesn't it implies ownership yeah yeah yeah so that's that makes her really mad um my wife was very into the idea of hey let's just pick a new name but i thought my dad was saying i thought that would offend my entire living family what would you have gone with if i changed my name what would you have picked she really wanted to do some hippie shit she wanted to be like the rainbows or something oh yeah you It can't be Alex Rainbow. Alyssa's real into kind of like 70s leave and join a rainbow cult style kind of thing. Do you worry about your wife joining a cult?
Starting point is 00:56:45 I do. I worry that she'll run away and join a cult. She'll be doing yoga day in, day out. You guys should be like the Obsidian family. That's good. If we just spend a moment just thinking of cooler names. Obsidian is really good, though. The Obsidian.
Starting point is 00:57:01 Is it too late for you to do that? That's my son, Memory Obsidian. See? Memory Bones Obsidian. Oh, that's a really good name, Alex. Because I know you guys like crystals and shit like that. You got me there. I would love that shit.
Starting point is 00:57:20 You crazy motherfuckers. This question was asked by somebody who only has two questions, and this was the second one, then they left. They just wanted to know about dead names. And she also said, how long have you been drawing for? So long. That was her other question. These are all great questions.
Starting point is 00:57:37 Boy, since I was a boy. Do we want to do one more or do I just do a listener? Forbidden knowledge. This is our paranormal and super spooky style questions in our forbidden knowledge segment. The question is, what are some names of witch covens? Oh. What are some names of witch covens? This is an answer here from Kurt Brasier.
Starting point is 00:58:01 please understand that there are those who would harass or in some way harm witches wherever they may be found as a wiccan witch was oath bound to do no harm less in defense or for the greater good i cannot give you an i'm gonna jump in there you're thinking of doctors doctors have to know what are doctors if not a witch uh i guess that's true when they put that cold little circle on your chest and you say i don't want your witch magic on me they do heal the sick and all that so that's kind of what witches can do yep kind of a spell uh he says why you ask if i an uncaring act gave you the actual names of a coven or circle and they were attacked or in some way harmed by the dissemination of that information and i carry a portion of the
Starting point is 00:58:46 karmic responsibility for that act that is known as ethics do not name a witch coven that was the right lane for the claps real witchcraft is for adults and there are real dangers in this world there are also real repercussions for our thoughts words and actions let's pause there for a second is real witchcraft for adults do you find that to be true is real what about baby witches well they're gonna hex the moon that's what they did right the baby witches hexed the moon and that's why we're in like the war in iran or whatever right yeah i mean that was a while ago i think everything that happened since then is probably a result of the baby witches who hexed
Starting point is 00:59:26 the moon. I mean, frankly, I think it was right before the Ukraine war started and things have been really bad since then. It's not been good. The moon is angry. Which moon? There are many moons in the sky. No, there
Starting point is 00:59:43 are not, Claire. We have Earth's moon. What are the other moons in the sky? Other planets have their own moons. You can't see them. I think they did the wrong moon they clearly did our moon because everything's all fucked fucked up here now yeah you're right they hexed our damn moon i'm gonna need a link to this uh story about the baby
Starting point is 01:00:07 whatever very skeptical about baby witches you don't believe that baby witches hex the moon claire i just need you to i need a source that i can do my own research with source the devil what's going on with hexing the moon okay we're on the cut which is mostly articles about uh whether it's too late to have a baby if you have a job oh okay so this is actually from 2020 so it's before the ukraine war is but it is when you know everyone died of a horrible disease it's when everyone kind of went insane because of covid and baby witches started hexing the moon so the article here is parenting have tiktok witches actually hex the moon i don't know if i want to read that much of this i don't think you need to read any of it just send it to send
Starting point is 01:00:54 it to me i'm the one who wants to know this could be an email i i'm gonna learn about the war in granada apparently that was off mike baby moons oh that was off mike yeah you should know that claire is learning about the war in granada from 1980 whatever i just want to see one tiktok is that so much to ask but they're all currently unavailable i think i think because that was china tick tock and it was removed that was pre yeah let's go to a listener a yeah i mean do we have any witch coven names or oh before one can become involved in the magical world of witchcraft one must understand the relationships of ethical decision making and the consequences of our actions blessed be storm oh you said blessed be like it's not kurt's main sign off that he does
Starting point is 01:01:44 for all of his answers where he goes, Blessed be! Go down, because there are some people who just have lists, I believe. I want to see a list of coven names before we move on.
Starting point is 01:01:55 Therian Tiberius Ware has some ideas. That fucking rules, man. In my experience, groups are usually referred to as the group. Okay. Shut up, Tiberius Ware! Read the one before it.
Starting point is 01:02:10 That one has better names. All right, Paul. Okay. a witch named Paul says for the most part witch covens and I refer only to covens of witches not Wiccans don't have names as witches in working groups we don't
Starting point is 01:02:23 need names. This feels like something from the DSA. It's like my name in my coven is my name I don't refer to myself as Raven's Heart Moonsong because my name isn't my true name and I don't need to protect it. We might if no other covens exist in the town we meet
Starting point is 01:02:39 and go by that so I might go by Wolverhampton coven or perhaps by a place we also use so white ladies priory might be a possibility. Where's white ladies? This is very on the nose for a coven name. Woo!
Starting point is 01:02:58 Do the Seinfeld one now. We have it. I'm exhausted. I was going for Anglo spotted because he said white ladies which just sounds like it must be an Anglo spot. All covens are white lady covens. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:03:14 But anyway, I like Paul's answer that they're named after their location. That's pretty good. None of them are called like the Brotherhood or anything or like Falcon's Wing. I mean, this guy said that his name is Raven's Heart Moon Song. That's fucking awesome. According to Quarrel, your name's Paul. Dumbass. Just wait till we get Cheever in here.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Oh, my God. Oh, I should check to see. At the end, if I remember, I'll check. I'll check to see if he answered me. let's go to a listener question here okay please write in with your quora style questions to quarators at gmail.com this is our question segment is that okay is that okay um we honestly have so many fucking is that okay questions i wonder if maybe we should just do an episode of them but for the bonus i don't know for now i'm just gonna click a random
Starting point is 01:04:05 So I work for a company that I found out recently has maybe a half or a little less than half of the board of directors named in some way in the Epstein files. Is that OK? Can I keep working here? for context i have a hard time finding uh employment as a trans woman and this is probably the best job i've ever had with full benefits i don't know how to feel thank you i'm gonna say absolutely uh the epstein files thing is just that all rich people are in a secret group eating babies so there's no way out of that you're just gonna find a different job with a different guy if they're not in it they're just smarter than the ones that you have yeah They're probably cooler, too.
Starting point is 01:04:54 I just mean, like, they know how to not be in those emails. Sure. Also, just so sweet getting paid. Found it. Big man. So that's, I guess, our answer is resolutely that you've got to keep working for these evil people. Sorry. And we support you in your endeavor doing that.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Generate profit for them as you are their thrall. Not unlike a dog named Peanut Butter. take heed of this wisdom take heed of that and change your name to mrs fluffy kids at work my name is mrs fluffy kids uh i do not call myself raven's boon moonshire or whatever sure because people know you as like burger king's coven i'm gonna look up real quick if this guy answered us if chief answered us checking in on the chief last second here um i think he may have blocked me wow that was quick no no maybe not maybe not it was just it was just blue sky not working okay well no update on that then but great to check in that's going to be the episode

Starting point is 01:06:24 Look out for local controversies. It's been a while since we went on Nextdoor, I think. It's been a while. I can't imagine just getting the chief in on Nextdoor. I bet he has a lot to say about that. I'm turning this all off. Alright, you know what? I'm just going to be quiet for a while.
