Starting point is 00:00:00 They always stop me at the airport for the for the Yeti for the blue Yeti the blue Yeti. They're always like, what is this? It's the only time you see airport security swear I always just forget to take it out with tech items, right? Oh, yeah, because it probably feels more personal than that Is it one of the like ball ones? No, it's it's a it's a right. It's about this size And they say if it's bigger than a laptop take it out. Sure. Are we going volume? Volume-wise, length-wise. Because laptops are pretty thin. But it has a greater volume than the width of a laptop.
Starting point is 00:00:36 If you were to fill a MacBook Pro and a Blue Yeti with water, which would hold more water? See, I don't know. This feels like a consulting interview. Yeah, well, you know what? Let's scrape out the insides of a Blue Yeti and fill it up and see. Pour it over a laptop. This is an important experiment that is worth the amount of money it will cost.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Podcast is canceled. I have something to do today now. Let's do an experiment. Everyone leave my home. Okay. No, I got it up. We're freaking cracking. Let's go to the Quarazo.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Do you hear it? Oh, yeah. Okay. You're nervous. I disconnected my headphones for a second. Cool. Hey, welcome to Quora-ators. Hello!
Starting point is 00:01:30 The podcast where we ask, what is Quora? I'm Jeremy, this is Alex. Hello, what is Quora? And then today, from the depths of Wikipedia, we have Annie Rawrida. Annie, how you doing? I'm doing well, thanks for having me. Are you a big Quora user? Oh, I'm a big Quora user.
Starting point is 00:01:47 So Jimmy Wales, who founded Wikipedia, he's also a really big Quora user. Really? And I think that the people that are like super contributors to Wikipedia and the super contributors to Quora overlap quite a bit. That makes a lot of sense that those people would have the same weird website. I don't know. I feel like there's better information on Wikipedia than Quora. Is that my biases? Well, because Wikipedia is sourced more thoroughly.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Oh, at the bottom with the blue links. Do you ever talk about the blue links? um i don't i think i'm just gonna go just kidding okay that's fine yeah no i love i love sourcing links all that everything you're talking about yeah you're speaking my language i am by the way waiting for the week that we just talk a guest into leaving the show right away and then just be like fucking i don't know let's talk about wikipedia by ourselves where's your next podcast the podcast where you don't tell the guest what the podcast is yeah you try to make them leave I think that one has been done before.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Oh. Yeah. That's just bad podcasting, I guess. It's just by being really bad. That's most of them, I guess. It's by unintentional design. I feel like also the difference between Quora and Wikipedia is that Quora doesn't ask for money, so they have to have ads, and half of it is just weird ads in the form of a Quora.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Yeah, Quora's all about making money, whereas Wikipedia, every time you go on, is like, listen, I fucking ran out. I didn't spend it right when you caved me last time. The thing about that is that, sorry to blackpill you, but it's very, so those banners are very, very controversial in the Wikipedia community because they, they like have this tone of desperation. Yeah. Help us keep the lights on.
Starting point is 00:03:33 So then you find these people who are like making basically no money, giving tons of money to Wikipedia because they have big hearts. and that's not fair when you're an organization with a 200 million dollar yeah what's it called what's it called when you have a big fund where you like invest it i'm totally blanking on this word portfolio no we're one of those like endowment endowment sure sure sure never would have got there and if you law if you've ever edited wikipedia and made an account and you stay logged in you'll never see an ad so i personally never see the ads which is great because then occasionally i log in on someone else's device right right and i have to see them
Starting point is 00:04:09 and it honestly makes me a little bit upset because Wikipedia is a really great place to give your money. That's not what I'm saying at all. I feel like I sound like such a contrarian right now. I give money to Wikipedia. You should give money to Wikipedia, but you don't have to.
Starting point is 00:04:23 It's not going to go away. There's probably a better thing you could give money to if you really were looking for it. And this is a real caveman question, but how much does it cost to keep the knowledge up? How much does it physically cost to keep it? To run the servers, it's probably in the single-digit millions.
Starting point is 00:04:39 so like two, three, four million. I, again, I'm not the expert here, but that's just what I read one time. Yeah, based off game feel. And so it's a few million to run the servers. They have like a pretty big staff, so that's a big expense. And then they do a lot of outreach
Starting point is 00:04:55 because English Wikipedia is like the big one. 6.6 million articles. Love it. And like really high standards, but there's 300 other language-ish, other languages of Wikipedia that aren't as great, and so they do a lot of, it makes sense into outreach so in case that was more information than you wanted no i wanted we
Starting point is 00:05:13 want i feel like we have a weird website expert and you're you're we everyone has who has come on has been like i don't know quora i've never been on it before but it's nice to have someone who's like i know everything about this similar website or not everything i don't know everything about quora though no i know like the bare minimum about quora maybe we should maybe i should go on the wikipedia for quora i believe quora is in one language it's not english it's a weird quora language adam's chosen form uh-huh honey um speaking of which i know this isn't in our list of of course but this is a very quick one i found yesterday just speaking of weird quora language he's off text he's gone rogue already we're two minutes into the podcast i found this one that
Starting point is 00:05:56 made me laugh so hard it just said what photo is worth words not a thousand words just what photo is worth words well they're all worth words is that the idea i agree and at the top were they looking for something what photo is worth words worth words what photo is worth words it sounds like a riddle the sphinx gives you it does sound like that what words does it worth in the day and then at night and it's one of those ones where it's like part of the word is anyway the top answer was a picture of two frogs hugging and it said i believe this photo shows the difference between us humans and animals let's go i don't think it does this is the only time i've gotten the moo correctly because i queued it up so far in advance it's like a seven second
Starting point is 00:06:43 delay on the moo anyway we're thrilled to be here annie i'm just still thinking about that is anything worth words what are words worth yeah i know right i'm just looking at my camera roll Like, is this worth words? Is this worth words? If you find any worth words, we send them to us. We'll put them on the show. Well, I think that the photo that's most worth words to me is my... This is my son.
Starting point is 00:07:09 This is my vaccine card. Oh, sure. That is worth words. I got to show that one all the time. Yeah. That's worth words to me. A thousand words, I don't know, but definitely words. Honestly, like, this is my ticket into a bunch of events.
Starting point is 00:07:20 That's true. The words on the vaccine card are specifically worth saying, I am vaccinated. here is the proof of it I went to a pharmacy and they shot me full of poison and then I got sick Alex is an anti-vaxxer wake up there's something
Starting point is 00:07:38 out there and it's called the yes and we started the podcast because I found you on Quora I was like this guy yeah I have to hang out on Quora because I can't go into bars so we have one segment so far
Starting point is 00:07:53 on the show and that is at the end of the show we're going to ask a quora and kind of see what the community gives back to us yeah so at the beginning of the podcast we checked back on last week's quora and see what we found out there is an inherent flaw in this and that as the show is growing people have figured out they can find and fuck with our question before we get to it and uh there is no good solution i have good news and bad news because no one fucked with this question okay and the bad news is that no one answered no one answered it yeah did anybody see it at all uh unclear okay the question was what is the worst thing your child could do before you send it to jail i thought this was the best quora
Starting point is 00:08:30 i've ever come up with i was so proud of it this seems like such a good prompt for the storytelling that people want to do but no no one answered instead it's always like what if frankenstein went to the mall oh 1000 replies thank you and they're all like you said it wrong it's frankenstein's monster yeah he would go to the mall and he would go to sharper image well that fucking sucks we'll do better at the end of this one and he's going to come up with a really good quora okay I'll start thinking
Starting point is 00:09:03 now I'm still thinking about those the words yeah thing feel free to update us about that as it comes by the way with thoughts on what photos worth words yeah by the way as the show keeps coming keep updating us on thoughts
Starting point is 00:09:18 pretty much like the whole time That's what a podcast is, I think. What is the meaning of life if not updating each other on your thoughts? Whoa, new thought. What thought is worth words? Ding. Is that a thought? All right.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Let's get right into it. Yeah. You want to read a quora? Let's read some quoras. We had a good crop here today, but I would like to start with a segment. We haven't done it in a few weeks. Maybe my favorite one to go back to, and that is, of course, Forbidden Knowledge or the Corbidden Knowledge segment.
Starting point is 00:09:51 I still don't like forbidden knowledge. He thinks it's a hat on a hat. So there's a Quora community called Forbidden Knowledge. They've decided that they've gathered knowledge that you're not supposed to know. And we're reading it on our podcast, which is dangerous, I think. Right. Well, but they're already talking about it online, so I think it's fair to read it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:13 It's already in the public forum. People are going to be knocking on our doors. Men in black suits. When this is, like, broadcast on CNN and is just on a broadband, then we can consider the moral implications of sharing the forbidden knowledge. These two men shared forbidden Quora knowledge. I just feel like this is for the homies. What would happen if a ghost hugged you?
Starting point is 00:10:32 That's, like, all of them. Okay, well. No one was supposed to know. I think you found this top one. Do you want to do the top one on the forbidden knowledge? I don't think I did find this top one, but I'm happy to read it. Okay, well, that means I probably found it. This was just put.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Someone added this. no one knows how this got in our google doc forbidden um this question is what are some meats that are not edible even for carnivores all right would we like to make some guesses before we get into it um yeah i guess so do you have any guesses so the key words in the question is not edible okay because i don't think that means forbidden so if you were to say like baby meat sure that is not it's edible you could eat i haven't tried i don't know it's not too gamey to choke down some baby meat. Many a starving
Starting point is 00:11:21 Frenchman during the Black Death has consumped of the baby meat. So that would be... Could you consider the bark of a tree a tree meat? No, no. Absolutely not, if that's the answer. Is tree bark tree meat? No, no.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Is paper skin? I think it could be. Dear Quora. Okay, well, I don't think there are any meats that are not edible unless it's like a really hard animal. Maybe like an elephant or something? Could you eat an elephant meat?
Starting point is 00:11:55 Rhino skin's very tough. They make those dodgeballs out of it. Yeah. Do they really? Yeah. They make dodgeballs out of it? Well, they're called rhino skin. You know what? It's probably not real rhino skin. That would be wildly illegal. I feel like you're dealing with it, but I don't know the dodgeball reference. There are only two rhinos left. We had to make the dodgeballs.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And then they banned it in schools i remember playing with these in like 1999 so i believe that there was no rhino law on the book back then did they ban it in massachusetts i know in new york when i was a kid like there was a year where they banned dodgeball for kids no i played the shit out of it yeah we were playing that really and it was just you wow in new york it was like it's sometime in high school or middle school they banned it and everyone's like what the hell too many videos are going out of jeremy cringing in front of a line of balls they were like we gotta stop I can't believe they banned
Starting point is 00:12:43 dodgeball how have I never heard about that I thought it was in New York I can't believe you just banned that feels like a first amendment right yeah it should be it should be in the constitution did you know that the city of south Pasadena banned swearing on one day of the week what day I believe Monday
Starting point is 00:12:58 not even Sunday that's the day that you need to swear Garfield would hate living there Garfield always wakes up and blasts one out he's always given the ampersand like number sign absolutely whatever swear word that is it must hit it's funny to imagine we all remember garfield's catchphrase where he opens his eyes he goes shit it's funny to imagine a bunch of like politicians having to write down all the
Starting point is 00:13:28 curses you're not going to say just like all right shit what else we got cock anyone want to say no cock cock is out on mondays is this like a really religious town how did this happen So there's actually a really good reason why this happened that I know far too much about. So there was a Mormon family in California, the Hatch family, and they had a son. They have a bunch of kids. I want to say like eight, nine around there. They have a son named McKay Hatch, and he decides in middle school that the hill he's going to die on is that no one should swear. No one should cuss.
Starting point is 00:13:58 So he starts the no cussing club. Sure. And they have T-shirts that are orange, and they say the no cussing club. and I have spoken with several people that went to school with him and they were like, yeah, we thought it was pretty normal to have a no cussing club.
Starting point is 00:14:10 But it turns out it's not normal. Okay, so then he starts doing media appearances. What do you do in the club? Don't cuss. Politely request things? I feel like it's kind of like when you're at, did your high school have like a environment club, earth club?
Starting point is 00:14:24 I went to a Catholic middle school. They didn't have anything. They would just stop beating you once the bell rang. We had a chess club. stuff like that normal stuff well they probably just like sit around
Starting point is 00:14:36 and say like oh kaflui or whatever think of alternatives to sorry anyway they so he does a bunch
Starting point is 00:14:43 of media appearances and he gets a really big name for himself and then 4chan catches a gets a whiff oh my god it's 2009
Starting point is 00:14:50 4chan is the most powerful website on the world yeah and so they just cyber bully the fuck out of this kid they send like several thousand dollars
Starting point is 00:14:59 worth of pizza to his house and the joke is supposed to be like oh like you know everyone's bringing pizza to this kid's house like he's gonna have to pay for it and maybe like it's probably possible that he could be like oh i actually didn't order this like please yeah take it back but i won't swear but what he did was he paid for it wow he did appearances on fox news about how he's getting canceled for well this is pre sure pre where the
Starting point is 00:15:22 word cancellation wasn't widespread but it was that same idea he was just like i don't want people to swear like because it's bad right and i'm getting cyber bullied and he labeled himself the most cyber bullied kid in the world damn and then he actually went to the city of south pasadena and raised a motion to ban swearing and they were like oh it's just this little cyber bullied kid who doesn't want to hear people swear like okay sure buddy but you can't enforce that anyway i believe that it's still um a law in south pasadena i recently i drove to the south pasadena like records office to try to talk to people about it but they were very busy with have any time for me being like hey do you need like records from the meetings yeah we're busy
Starting point is 00:16:09 with anything else anyway that was more of a tangent than you wanted but no absolutely well What's crazy to me is that that is just so wildly unconstitutional. Yeah, that's clearly not allowed. Like not to be like a big free speech person, but that is. Yeah, it's one of the big ones. I think the main thing we've learned between 2009 and now is not to listen to the most cyber bullied boy. I know. I want to send him a pizza.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Too many errors have been made. Maybe you got cyber bullied for a reason, buddy. He was. Maybe you're a little bitch. Yeah. Not to use that word. Am I allowed to say that on here? Yeah, this is actually in New York City.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Land of the free. Thank God we're not in South Pasadena right now. The big apple. Take a bite. The big fucking apple. Okay, so what meat are we not allowed to eat? Or can't eat? No, no, you're good.
Starting point is 00:17:02 This is a purely tangent-based podcast. Okay, good, good, good, good, good. Okay, so... If we didn't do tangents, we'd run out of quarters in like one day. In one whole day. One day, we'd just run out. It turns out all of the answers on here are dumb as shit
Starting point is 00:17:15 and not actually worth spending any time on. All right, so all the answers are for various birds, which is surprising me because I... The top one I see is woodchuck. I'd be spending all day eating birds. I don't know about you. Do you not see this woodchuck answer? Oh, yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I just thought it was an ad. Again, the website is very bad. If you are listening at home, don't go on Quora. It's very confusing how it works. The ads are so funny because they're said like Quoras to trick you, So it'll be like, what are the best pants to wear of all time? And it's like these that we owed and sell. That's like the Reddit when Reddit tries to blend in their ads.
Starting point is 00:17:51 What is a flashlight? Well, I guess I won't be eating woodchucks. Damn it. Okay. It says, all right, I want to read it. This is from Jeff Holt, MBA and master of business administration degrees. You know, he knows a lot about meats. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:07 It's so funny how much info people put on this website. They're like, and they need to know I went to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. They're here to make money. That's what I'm saying. This is the main difference between this and Wikipedia. Okay, so woodchuck. Many years ago, I was going through a military survival school, as one does. One of the things they taught was snaring animals.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Since this didn't provide us with much food as a way to simulate survival, I was very hungry and motivated to find more to eat. I went to a school where they tried to kill me. As it turned out, I managed to snare and kill a woodchuck, which is a large rodent. It was killed by the snare so I scun it and put its back legs
Starting point is 00:18:43 over a small fire to cook. Tangent question, what is a scun? I could not tell you. That simply must be wrong. Is it past tense skin? It's gotta be skinned. It's gotta be skinned
Starting point is 00:18:54 over scun, right? It's gotta be. Wait, this guy got an MBA and he's saying scun? We're talking like a bunch of city slickers because I think out there you call it scunned.
Starting point is 00:19:03 I looked up scunning and there's a lot of real nasty urban dictionary stuff I won't read but that's about it. yeah this is not an urban dictionary podcast that is not what we do on here oh this is the worst idea i've ever said urban dictionary podcast um it was killed by the scare so i scun it put his legs over the small fire to cook when it was cooked i bit into the meat and
Starting point is 00:19:22 was overwhelmed by the taste of pine it was like i'd taken a swig from a bottle of pine saw cleaner the meat turned to foam in my mouth i managed to swallow it but could eat no more of it to this day whenever i smell pine i think of that poor woodchuck i should have left it alone i don't know what woodchucks eat trees so it turned to foam i don't this seems like a haunted thing he ate a ghost this belongs in the forbidden knowledge category apparently you can't eat woodchucks because they taste like wood and then also turn to foam in your mouth it sounds like he was cursed by a witch i think that is what happened all right the next answer is according to charles darwin these guys fit the bill and that's a picture of an owl
Starting point is 00:20:08 oh according to charles darwin are we really i don't know if that's the best source we have 1863 he's probably gonna make it racist somehow this mother charles darwin's canceled as far as i'm concerned yeah fuck that guy as catholically as possible charles darwin you're over okay charles darwin had a huge interest in food and during his time in cambridge he was the president of the infamous Glutton Club. Did you guys go to the Glutton Club? What did you guys do in Glutton Club?
Starting point is 00:20:40 Oh, no, I didn't have time for the Glutton Club. I was in the No Cussing Club. I was in Vanity. I was in the Throwing Up Club. We were next to the Glutton Club. There was a lot of crossover. The main objective of the club was to seek and eat strange flesh. That's in quotes.
Starting point is 00:20:56 And chow down on the rarest birds and beasts which were before unknown to the human palate. That is just like the kind of evil stuff you could do at that time. In 1865, yeah. You're just allowed to be that evil. Strange flesh.
Starting point is 00:21:09 You're just allowed to be like, let's find the rarest bird and kill it. I have man's arms. Hey, gluttons, want to try a little woodchuck? Look what I've got. I have the last English polar bear. The club met weekly and was a roaring success. They ate such beautiful birds as the bittern and hawk.
Starting point is 00:21:28 The club eventually came to an abrupt end when a tawny owl was served up. The meat was disgusting and stringy and described as indescribable. Sure. That's doesn't. Sure. There's like a story. Described as indescribable.
Starting point is 00:21:41 It turned to foam in our mouths. Some pictures are worth those three words. Yeah, that's absolutely true. And it's this owl. It looks very sad to be eaten. Yeah, it's got beautiful eyes to consume. There's this story of Charles Darwin. I don't know if it's him specifically, but in the Galapagos where he like studied, there's
Starting point is 00:21:59 like apparently this turtle that tasted so amazing that they tried to bring it back to europe but every time they did they would eat it before they got there because it just tasted so good and it like relatable yeah i was about to say you can't export turtles they tried to bring them and they just couldn't do it because they just ate them i actually have one in my basement oh yeah oh really what's it taste like oh you i can't even i can only describe it as indescribable Only one word can describe it. Indescribable. Somebody has incredible history.
Starting point is 00:22:30 If I had to describe it, I'd say, I don't know. I forgot what it was like. Apparently, the Australian pheasant is really bad. You should meet the pheasant even during the Great Depression. I totally forgot Australians had a Great Depression. Because it was worldwide, right? I thought that was really in my jingoisms there. But I was like, Great Depression,
Starting point is 00:22:53 that's when we ate same that's when we put all the italians in a room that was us it wasn't the australians but over there in the desert australians trying to eat this pheasant they couldn't do it um i mean australia's got all sorts of they have their own stuff going on they had a war with emus once yeah they're just constantly at war with the continent to kick them off of it it's really sad one guy says rabbits are edible which is not answering the question at all it's the opposite it this is my favorite start to one of the responses everyone is talking about polar bear livers everyone is talking about polar bear livers some claim it's the only land animal liver that can kill a human not a related note i do not see anybody talking about polar bear
Starting point is 00:23:41 i wouldn't be surprised if everyone on quora is discussing polar bear liver polar bear livers i'm sick of it like that's what's trending yeah exactly i actually don't think this question was in forbidden knowledge but it's in our section of forbidden knowledge because this maybe i did add it forbidden that's not something i would do all right well let's go to the next forbidden knowledge one because that one wasn't as spooky as i'm used to and i'm ready to delve into the forbidden um i'll read this one this is i'm planning on summoning king paymon via the ouija board oh but it's loading i'm afraid there are going to be other entities pretending to be him how can i prevent that huh this was sent to us by jacob moore we should say yeah emailed shout out
Starting point is 00:24:27 shout out shout out send us emails so i don't know anything about this stuff what what is king pipe on oh i know that he's a character i know she's a character in in genshin impact oh yeah that he's mostly a reference to genshin impact yeah he's like a famous demon he's like the oj simpson of demons oh he was never caught the juice uh i'm gonna google him no he was in that the movie the spooky your computer turned off i'm just kidding did it because if it did it got unplugged from the i'm joking i'm joking um no there is do you remember the horror movie it was the a24 movie where the trailer was the girl oh hereditary yeah hereditary is he the villain in that the villain he's not a villain so much as a demon who is hanging out around there but
Starting point is 00:25:12 There's a section on the Wikipedia for Paimon that says powers as if he's a superhero. He is kind of a superhero. But anyway, your concern would be that other demons would kind of pretend to be. Oh, and here it is. In popular culture, an unrelated Paimon appears in the role-playing video game Genshin Impact. Are you on Wikipedia right now? I am. We are a Quora podcast, Jeremy.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Catch your head straight. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Okay, well. Beautiful. Yeah, so. So I think you should probably, I mean, without knowing anything about summoning demons, I think that the first thing you should do is kind of like, boil down what is essentially King Paimon.
Starting point is 00:25:51 So I don't know much about him himself, except he wears a crown, because that's kind of a king thing. Have you used a Ouija board before? Have you guys done that? I haven't. Have you ever done it? I've never done it either. It seems cool.
Starting point is 00:26:01 I've talked about this on my other podcast, but I went to a school where the religion teacher would trick you into bringing in your Ouija board, and then take it and put it in this closet and be like you shouldn't have that really that's intense well because there were demons in it my my wife went to catholic school and they have brought everyone into an assembly room once like all all grades and they did a mass exorcism of everybody oh nice so that's good yeah because otherwise they take all day no more demons wow yeah no i so i went to christian school religious school and i just no one i knew had a ouija board because you would never have that because you can never summon a demon.
Starting point is 00:26:37 It's the opposite of what you want to do. It's rude. It wasn't funny. It was scary. It's not cool to talk to ghosts. It's forbidden. Say no. This girl on my cross-country team named Tatiana told me
Starting point is 00:26:51 one time on a run, she was like, I used a Ouija board and then I got possessed by a demon and had to be in the hospital for two months. Wow. I believed her. What do you think was her real reason to be in the hospital for two months? It must have been something, because in retrospect, that is a very fishy story.
Starting point is 00:27:09 But at the time, I was like, oh, yeah, I haven't thought about this until now. That's crazy. There's no way Tatiana was possessed by a demon for two months in the hospital. Maybe a week. She probably just had mono. Tatiana ate woodchuck and picked up one of its rare diseases. God, she probably scud it the wrong way or something. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Well, I have no idea what to guess for this, so I'm just going to read the answer. this is the top one that's not really how a ouija board works so calling it out right away yeah that that is true right the idea is like the ghost takes over your hands and then spells out a sentence yeah because it's kind of like a um it's like an airbnb for ghosts yeah like you just open shop and then somebody shows up yeah yeah i think so i think to summon king paimon specifically you gotta like get a girl and cut her head off and then she comes back to life right and she's in a tree house i don't remember the movie that well um yeah they had a very specific set of rules by the way a lot of spoilers for hereditary that is going to be in the title um a ouija board is a
Starting point is 00:28:11 divination tool that doesn't come with the benefit of built-in filters i'm just imagining somebody like uh somebody's modded youtube channel check out my ouija board i got the slots on this rgb dials um tarot cards are a good example of divination tools that use symbols that help filter detritus from the other side the ouija board doesn't have those symbols so pretty much anything can show up if the ouija board is your thing and you know how to create a level of protection for yourself go for it however if you don't know how to work protection and banishment spells i wouldn't summon anything using a ouija board in fact i wouldn't summon anything at all until learning protection and banishment this person is so condescending about summoning demons
Starting point is 00:28:50 now this is true for the whole website but i have found forbidden knowledge to be especially condescending yeah it's like a lot of witches being like you don't know shit about uh the day you know nothing of educate yourself it's not my job to educate you it's my job to prepare the return of the other thing with summoning is you have to be really specific so you need the wording for what you intend to summon entity worked out in advance and you need to memorize it so you can summon things then yeah but not with a ouija board oh okay okay this is this would be like how do i cook using a refrigerator it's that level of stupidity i feel silly i even thought about it have you delved at all into mythical wikipedia pages what does that mean um i don't
Starting point is 00:29:40 know um ghost related is that a thing on wikipedia though they have i mean it's wikipedia they have everything on it there's gonna be coverage in a very objective way of like i don't like yeah one thing that's mythical that i think is funny is that so we all know brazil sure i've heard of it not all of us know brazil the mythical island oh i know is it near brazil hold on i'm looking it up i i haven't read past the title ever but no there's coverage of ghosts i mean i think that I, as a person, tend to be not fun because I don't even like talking about ghosts because I'm just like, that's not real.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Why are we talking about this? And I've recently moved to LA and I saw a tweet a few weeks after moving to LA and it was like, yeah, living in LA is crazy because you'll be at dinner with the hottest people you've ever seen in your life. And they'll say something like, I'm plagued by ghosts every day
Starting point is 00:30:38 and you just have to smile and nod like that's a normal thing to say. Yeah, I guess what I'm saying is I'm not a big ghost girl. I'm with you on this. Do you believe in ghosts, Alex? Because I know you're into this stuff. Yes, that's why I have this segment every week.
Starting point is 00:30:52 I don't, yeah, I guess I'm not like a, I just think it's funny that people are so into it. Well, I think it's funny, but also I'm very scared. And so in that way, it's kind of both. Okay, fair enough. But if you stop believing in ghosts, then you don't have to be scared. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Well, I kind of like being scared. It kind of makes my life more interesting and full of ghosts and wonder. That's fair. It's a double-edged sword because it's full of ghosts and wonder it's really tough having both of them like that yeah i definitely struggle with that too though a little bit where like i have people who want to go to a haunted house or whatever and i'm always just like i don't it doesn't work for me
Starting point is 00:31:26 the other thing that's i have a similar feeling about is everyone's been posting these open ai prompts sure and i think that like the prompt itself that people give is often the funny part yeah but the answer is never that funny it's kind of like you know it's like it's like the like oh like like good for you or sorry that happened i ain't reading all that right it's like okay like it's like a little funny like the concept but i don't know you're kind of beating a dead horse in my opinion again maybe i'm a hater i think i don't know my favorite uh aspect of these questions is the world building that it gets into at the bottom like this last paragraph here if you want to summon goetic spirits like payment learn goetic magic and do it right like what does that
Starting point is 00:32:08 mean i just like that it's like i just like finding a weird community like i like finding these weird groups of people where they all have like shared beliefs and vocabulary and then people are mean to each other yeah they're just like oh you think you can use a ouija board you fucking dumb idiot it's not how you do it i just i literally know nothing about spirits and i want you to stop coming to spirit club last week we found a whole core community of people who just swim with clothes on and i just i just love it i love the people who are just like that's not how you do that you're supposed to wear your shoes and socks it is also pretty funny how many of these answers are like you can't use a ouija for that everyone knows this put it down okay well
Starting point is 00:32:49 we've learned nothing about payment i'm done with this question um is there a difference between the dark occult and the regular occult this is our final uh forbidden forbidden question yes and i'm again sorry for all of the forbidden stuff happening because we're not supposed to be doing it oh this person's an admin oh my god what do you think this is a high level poster i would have to imagine the dark occult and the regular occult are different right i would assume there's a so it's regular occult like when you just get lucky or like you go to the store and like your favorite thing is on sale sure yeah you have really good chance but it's not like oh well there's no babies were slaughtered for you summon like a cool guy yeah yeah like johnny bravo's
Starting point is 00:33:35 ghost if you were to appeal you'd appear you'd be like this is regular occult to me i don't know yeah yeah that's what i would guess when good things happen and they're occult are they regular or are they dark this is what it says this is my question that's what i want to know uh okay so this is from one of the mods as jeremy pointed out this is a hadman they got a little shield symbol let's look at these badges occultist intuitive empath oh yeah that's a high level empath mystic and that says sat i think that's saturday i don't think that's a badge um this person's i'm just looking at their account and like seeing what other questions that they've answered and they say that i contact me to your sociopath okay so they're already kind of a weird
Starting point is 00:34:22 person i think they're right this is an intuitive empath who are you to question have you ever had one of these people on the pod no we should we should i would love to have a quora user you got to bring this guy on the pod yeah i'm strictly against it i would like to just look at them from afar like a beautiful bird a friend of mine from college reached out to me to say that her dad answers math questions often on quora if we want to talk to him and i was right like that sounds like a poor podcast guest to me i feel like we would just be like all right it just seems like a guy who knows a lot about math i don't know what he's bringing to the table with analysis okay uh i just thought this would be weird let's see yeah please read it yes maybe it sucks we'll
Starting point is 00:35:04 no no no no read it i want to know the difference okay most things involving the occult or life really are part of an endless cycle the dark and light are parts of the whole and they are inextricable from each other i work with the morrigan i'm co-workers with the morrigan my boss is the morrigan also known as morigoo a figure from irish mythology you're on wikipedia again i can tell you are she's a goddess of the land and as such she rules over birth and death because the land nourishes both life and death and one cannot be had without the other and legend she appeared as a crow and could be seen wandering battlefields as a wolf when these animals consumed the flesh
Starting point is 00:35:47 of fallen warriors they were consuming the warriors essence this is a slow burn i'm answering this question they were also readying the land for new births by clearing battlefields of uninhabited bodies i'm gonna be real with you i don't think this person's gonna answer the question i think she's saying that they're the same thing homie so this is what i was saying like johnny bravo's ghost is still a dark ghost that makes sense yeah oh mama that's something why johnny bravo the cartoon character i don't know he's the first guy i thought i was thinking of who's a big celebrity who's a cool guy johnny bravo from the cartoon network the now dead television channel no it's still kind of around i thought it got bought and sold for scraps and it's a ghost i
Starting point is 00:36:28 thought it was a ghost you can summon it with a ouija board oh you literally you guys aren't learning anything okay uh let's move on to our next segment so this is um it's maybe like an off-putting topic, but it is the best questions we regularly get on the podcast, which is the Quoker, which is incel and manosphere questions. But these are really just wife advice.
Starting point is 00:36:55 Yeah, it's stuff that the Joker would ask if he were on Quora. That's kind of our theme for it. Okay, let's go. Let's go to the depths of the manosphere. Okay. Do you want to start with this one? Sure. This question is,
Starting point is 00:37:11 will putting a fake ticket on my car keep other police officers from giving me a ticket oh i'm gonna say big yes yeah i think that probably would work right although i have had on my car multiple tickets like within the same 10 minute time frame really which is illegal but cops don't care because they just have like a quota they have to get out sure so i i mean i think the trick would work but also that i it's depending on you know the day yeah like if it's near the end of the month it will not work sure there are conditions this is my guess do you have any thoughts this sounds like it would work to me yeah i think it's a good idea i think it would work sometimes i think it would be a good i kind of want to start doing this yeah you're living in
Starting point is 00:37:58 los angeles that's a car town yeah it is it's car city and i have a garage which is where my car is most of the time and i'm too scared to drive it on the six lane highways yeah i don't blame you that's like my big fear about like if i ever have to move to la is having to drive a lot oh it's terrible thing ever i'm moving out i can't you just got there i was just the the whole plan was to only be there for the winter oh okay yeah that's pretty good because it's warm there um the first thing i think of happening on six lane highway is morpheus rolling and then slashing your tires with a katana which is probably very rare but i have no that i've four people i know in LA have told me that's happened to them. It's a huge
Starting point is 00:38:36 inconvenience to have all of your tires slashed like that, especially if you're driving an 18-wheeler truck like I saw happen. It literally happens all the time. Lawrence Fishburne is out of control. Okay, let's see it. Okay, so this is Sammy Christensen, a cheerleader. From 1987
Starting point is 00:38:52 to present. Still doing it. Have you ever seen a cheerleader over like 20 years old? She's still doing it. She's cheerleading. Is this just my ignorance? Does this exist? I have no idea are there adult leagues of cheerleaders maybe she just she was a professional cheerleader and now she cheers on other cheerleaders from the sidelines this is again a tangent but the big post below this is what should i watch out for when fighting a chimpanzee which is a third of
Starting point is 00:39:17 the posts on the website and then a very menacing photo of a chimpanzee okay uh sammy christensen let's do it um she says used to do this in college tickets got left in a white envelope that said citation on it found an empty one just sitting in the library one day stuck it in the car and would park in a good spot when i was running late and stick the citation envelope on the window worked well for a long time then one day it came and the envelope was gone i've said envelope and envelope different times every way that's fine that's part of it nothing in its place just gone i'm assuming parking enforcement that day noticed my trick but that would uh be giving them a lot of credit so there's no way to know if it works so right uh i mean if it works then nothing happens
Starting point is 00:39:58 yeah my concern would be they see you putting the fake ticket on which is like fraud sure like that's got to be a felony it's got to be bad isn't it in some way impersonating an officer like very loosely sure yeah no i guess that's like swearing in palo alto or wherever it was wouldn't you just leave your old ticket on and then claim in court like oh i just didn't see it yeah that's the way i would do it or i would have for six months i suppose you could do like a randomized trial like you tell half of your friends to always have a fake ticket and the other half to
Starting point is 00:40:33 never have a fake ticket. If you want to be scientifically sound about it. If you're publishing a paper on can I trick cops. I think I would try to like find a clever way to just put it on every time like I would be like oh no and I'd fall and then it would go like fuck yeah. Ah rots. Perfectly.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Here's what I would be doing is every time I'm putting this on my windshield I'm going hehehehe. That's for sure part of it. Nice try coppers. here comes my trick um yeah people say they're doing dollars now um yeah people people are mostly saying that they they've done this and it works so i guess you know try it let us know what we're endorsing on the podcast is crime break the law one answer said this is 500 up quarters or whatever and it says um let me put it this way the only thing dc government
Starting point is 00:41:24 is competent and efficient at is parking enforcement. There was a notorious example of a person who died in the vehicle, but the parking tickets kept piling up until the odor became unbearable. Right. So they're saying that the government is so good that they'll give you a ticket even if you die.
Starting point is 00:41:40 D.C. law enforcement's only stat bonus is all the points are in parking regulations, parking fees, and none of the points are in catching snipers. Or in charisma. Yeah, or in charisma. up um they wouldn't be able to like trick you out of it they're always missing snipers that's like their big thing that happened one time um okay so my way of doing that would
Starting point is 00:42:04 definitely be to get like the i'm assuming you know one but like a fake id guy to use their laminator sure machine yeah they're like high-tech equipment you're laminating your your parking ticket well i want to use it a few times that to me seems like what you absolutely should not do because they're going to see a shiny parking ticket. It says Alex's parking ticket on it. They're like, well, that seems like it's for Alex. It's going to be good forever. It's not going to get wet.
Starting point is 00:42:29 It's going to rain on your parking ticket otherwise. You're going to have to do these all the time. I feel like it wouldn't be that hard to make a fake one of these. I wouldn't be able to do it. Yeah, this woman found one, but I don't know what they look like. I don't have a card. I am, but you're so good at the computer. I bet you could really shop it up.
Starting point is 00:42:45 there was a guy in la who made a fake road sign that was just better marked like he just did it as like a gorilla public service sure oh wow and what i'm saying is that you can make anything also he's in jail a gorilla public service is very funny though yeah and they kept it up really beautiful there's a whole bloomberg article the other day about wow really crosswalks people are just painting crosswalks in the street and actually i have another story about gorilla street paint please that my friend is a woman who rides a bike not super controversial right it's 2022 well actually no apparently she was riding through williamsburg and um hasidic jews were like not happy she was wearing a skirt and she was biking and they painted over the bike lane
Starting point is 00:43:31 oh my god this is all like like completely like unsourced word of mouth the same yeah the same level of sourcing as that quora post about the dead body which seems like it cannot be true that seems like something that like your um older brother who's like smoking weed yeah in the um screened in porch would mention to you i fully believe the hasidic jews did that but these are just some rumors i've heard about jews no the hasidic the hasidic uh the seeds do all sorts of like weird like law they have their own ambulances and stuff yeah so if you paint over a bike lane what does that look like like you just paint it gray like it looks like yeah black Same color as the street.
Starting point is 00:44:12 The opposite is so funny, though. The people who are doing guerrilla crosswalks is just like, yeah, there's like pretty much every city that's like urban and pretty liberal and has a lot of urbanists. They have these dedicated groups that are dedicated to like public signage. There was a group in New York City that would go to the subways and add better signs. And the MTA just took it upon themselves to take all the good signs down. Extremely MTA. official stop learning la and san francisco all have like signage and bike lane initiatives where they just add them in without going through the whole the whole paperwork process that's kind of
Starting point is 00:44:53 nice though that's a cooperative project yeah everybody realizing i just like the the image of them doing it with like masks on or something like antifa has put another crosswalk down this This is the stupidest version of this, but every time we've said it, I do imagine a gorilla. Sure, fair enough. A gorilla hanging out by somebody's side with their giant arms that can rip off a car.
Starting point is 00:45:20 You were mentioning the person that was preparing to fight a chimpanzee, right? Oh, yeah. That's a big Quora thing. It's just like, could I fight this out of all? And they're all like, no, you can't. See, that's such a man brain thing because I got to say, as a woman,
Starting point is 00:45:33 I am very rarely thinking about what animals I could take but I feel like you spend five minutes with any dude and they're talking about like oh yeah I could take that
Starting point is 00:45:41 I could take them we kind of have it out of our system because we did like an episode that was just an hour of it in a row yeah which animal
Starting point is 00:45:46 could you fight the answer is almost none and the thing is I do want to talk about them even more a chimpanzee would murder you
Starting point is 00:45:53 you gotta save it no I'm not saying chimpanzee although if you like really got one with a bat no if you told the chimpanzee
Starting point is 00:45:59 to like hey could you get that for my car and then like it went around and just wound up you've proven her right Yeah, if you could use your intelligence, outwit them.
Starting point is 00:46:07 Yeah, a chimpanzee would murder you. But the second you mess with the bat, bro, it's over, bro. There's a really great documentary I saw about this. Oh, my God, you got me in the man zone right now just by mentioning a chimpanzee. You mentioned it. Somebody mentioned it, and now I'm triggered. By the way, unrelated, this post, the next recommended one is, do tigers run away from bears?
Starting point is 00:46:29 And then a picture of a pissed off tiger. yeah do people want to know what animals you can fight the question isn't could i fight a tiger because you know you can't but it's good to tiger fight a bear um what a five-year-old would ask well well maybe we go fight a bear maybe it's a good question though because i'm not entirely sure do you think that i could fight a chimpanzee no you can't they'll rip your hands off any children listening to this please do not fight a chimpanzee they'll eat your nose they're sons of bitches there is a documentary i watched about this called rise of the planet of the apes where they lose to the chimpanzees yeah well if the chimpanzees have the intelligence
Starting point is 00:47:11 of man and the strength of chimpanzees it's no contest that movie is so funny and all they do is use guns and that's so have you seen it rise of the planet of the apes um the james franco one the reboot i remember i got way too high from when the first of those movies came out that's first one yeah and i just like totally re-evaluated owning a pet your cat no just well i didn't have my cat yet but i just i took like three bong rips went into the movie theater then went in was like you shouldn't have animals i had a similar thought i literally did not enjoy this film it really upset me i um i watched it recently for the first time it's there's this really funny scene in it that just stuck with me forever where like the chimpanzee the whole time is like i don't know
Starting point is 00:47:52 he's a chimp he can't talk or whatever he's like uh and then like halfway through the movie James Franco goes up to him and they see each other for the first time since he became intelligent and the chimpanzee comes up to him and is just like, hello, James Franco. And it's just like,
Starting point is 00:48:04 it's the funniest thing. I am smart now. Have you read the Bhagavad Gita? I read Infinite Jest. The rest is book recommendations. It's a bit slow. No, there's a seminal moment in the film where it turns on, I believe, Draco Malfoy,
Starting point is 00:48:24 who is a cruel... Is he in it? I don't remember. He's a cruel human who is rude to the animals and shoots them with a... Right, right, right, right, right. And I believe this is with him. At one point, in response for all of the apes,
Starting point is 00:48:36 he turns to the humans and he goes, no! And it's a big moment because he's learned the word no. The chimp says that, yeah. But it does have this kind of feeling of like, this is what toddlers do. I'm not really that intimidated by the chimp. But then it is downhill from there.
Starting point is 00:48:49 They learn books. I think you could fight a chimp, Alex. I never said I could. I'm just telling you what's on the related feed here. We got to do another insult, one of these. Please. I pulled up the next one. So this is, maybe as millennials we can kind of tap into this,
Starting point is 00:49:07 although we're all very successful and powerful magnates. Yeah. I'm honored you think I'm a millennial. How old do you think I am? I have no idea. 45? 76? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:49:20 I knew you wanted me to say a young number, and then I said an old number. No, no, I don't want you to say anything other than what you think. Okay. I'm not asking this in a trap way, although I feel like that's how it sounds. Every part of me feels like it's a trap. I have no idea how old anyone is, and I'm shocked when I find out people aren't exactly my age. I'm always like, what?
Starting point is 00:49:42 You're seven? You know so many words. Okay. Okay, I'm not going to guess your age. I feel like that's rude. Well, now I feel bad. I feel like you feel like I trapped you. But I turned 23 like three days ago.
Starting point is 00:50:00 Okay, well, happy birthday. Congratulations. Okay. That rocks. Anyway, I interrupted your little... No, no, please. Alex is 39. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:08 People think I'm older than I am. He is young. I'm 29. Also, we get a lot of comments that Jeremy looks like a celebrity, but they don't know which one. One comment. Everyone's always saying it. You're like that guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:21 You're like that guy. We've been getting all sorts of weird comments on our looks, which is a fun way to be on the internet. That's just being on the internet. The Gen Z also has this problem. So here's the question. My 20-year-old son has made no moves toward moving out of my house. He doesn't work or go to school.
Starting point is 00:50:36 When I told him he needed to get a job or move, he said that I can't legally kick him out. Am I missing something or is this a new law? This was emailed to me. Cora emailed this to me. Yeah, homie. That's you, homie. You might need to look this up.
Starting point is 00:50:50 You're inventing laws to fool your mom. This is such a desperate question. Like, usually when it's a weird question, I'm like, that's a troll. This is a real parent who's like, what do I do about this? See, am I missing something really makes the question. Is this a new law? My son says they made a law saying I can't be mean to him. South Pasadena.
Starting point is 00:51:15 He could just go to the city council. He's saying it's a right to have an Xbox. i've never heard that uh let me tell you what my parents did for me i just turned 21 it was just like your son no job no clue what i wanted to do and no cares by the way this sounds horrible one day i came home my parents said let's go for a ride we want to show you something trick trick coming he's like a dog but they said we're going to chunky cheese uh we pulled up to an apartment building they told me hey let's just look at what you could someday get i went along with it we met with the guy who ran the place he showed a nice unit and they asked if i liked it i
Starting point is 00:51:55 said yes my dad then tossed me the keys and said it's yours i paid the first month's rent you have 30 days to figure your life out that's a very dramatic way but again uh little did i know my parents had set all set this up the previous day within two days i had a job never moved back home again it was a turning point in my life i'm now 36 and own a 400 000 house found an awesome career in construction and i'm very happy so not only did this guy like living in houses he dedicated his life to building houses i will build this for someone else uh 17 million views i would like to add that he did not address whether it is a new law no no or if you are missing something he said just try harder so the uh the internet's recommendation for you as a parent is you
Starting point is 00:52:39 have to trick your children more you have to like lie to them get them into a car do not tell them where they're going i'm looking up this guy ed ed scoop ed scoop studied at delaware community college i don't know why you got to have that in your badge especially not when you're killing it own a four hundred thousand dollar home although and so this is just and i do not know this but i'm shooting from the hip on this i feel like if you work in construction you got the like in-group knowledge to get good houses you maybe could right right because you know a guy who has a four thousand dollar house and he's like i gotta get rid of this um this guy has answered five questions ever on quora and that was the first question he ever asked and it got 17 million
Starting point is 00:53:21 views and then never again he's a bloody op mate cia cia the cia doesn't want you to know about this new uh the upwardly mobile uh intelligence unit he's lying about wealth creation what if the mom that posted that um about her 20 year old son what if the 20 year old son actually created that answer that's a good idea he just wanted his mom to pay for a month of rent for him and do all the work that makes a lot of sense i'd say a big part of this is your parents having an extra a few thousand dollars to just set you up real quick uh yeah there's a lot of people who can't do this But it is, again, just like most people also don't land on their feet that nicely. No.
Starting point is 00:54:01 And also, most parents aren't fooled this easily by their children saying there's a new law that you can't kick them out. It's a real perfect storm. My son says there's a new law that says it's okay for him to have an anime girlfriend. Is this true? Am I missing something? He says pillows are girlfriends now? I certainly can't Google it, so I'll just ask Cora. okay well that was pretty information that was like maybe the most practical life advice we've
Starting point is 00:54:32 so far given on the podcast yeah i love that for us i want to keep it going um what okay this is a good one and this is a question a lot of men have okay which is what is an unspoken rule of using the ladies room sure this is a good this will be our final quora then we'll ask what i guess yeah that's that's fair it's kind of the grand finale in a way what is an unspoken this is a person who wrote 11 rules of yeah i would say i would guess having never been one there's probably 11 rules yeah 11 rules of the ladies room unspoken yeah actually i guess um i'm looking at it so i'll let alex guess what's an unspoken rule of the ladies feet on the couch i'm so jealous of The women's room couch.
Starting point is 00:55:15 If you take a skirt, leave a skirt. I'm going to guess that there's definitely going to be a bunch of rules about tampons. Sure. Absolutely. Because I just feel like that's what distinguishes the ladies room. Maybe like if someone asks you for a pad or a tampon. Right, right, right. Nice.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Don't talk at the sink unless you have a reason to. Is that an unspoken rule? Do people talk at the sink a lot? I have talked to people at the sink in the bathroom. Have you? But that's maybe a personal problem. I've had people talk to you, like strangers talk to me at the urinal, which I've always thought was very strange.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Big flush, huh? I remember when I was in college, I did an open mic. Your hands are filthy. And some guy was like, your hands are filthy. No, so I did bad at an open mic in college. And some guy went up to me at the urinal. I know, it's hard to believe. Get him off the show.
Starting point is 00:56:02 Some guy went up to me at the urinal afterwards and was like, hey man, you just got to be confident. And I was like, peeing? And I was just like, oh, all right. And he was like, not a big chatter. And I was like. Oh, my God. I was like, thank you.
Starting point is 00:56:15 This is specifically the kind of. You got to be confident. This is a stairs bar. This is the kind of autism that comes out at open mics. This is not related to bathroom talk. Yeah, it was really weird. And it made me sad. The only thing I would guess about the tampon rules is that sometimes,
Starting point is 00:56:31 because I have gone in women's rooms at public rest stops, if there's no line and the other one's taken. And I'm not a bad. Arrest him. I'm not a bad guy. Sometimes I just need to use it. And sometimes the rules are written. It's not an unspoken rule.
Starting point is 00:56:46 It's like, do not flush these. Don't do it. That's right, though, all over. I'm remembering a tweet that I saw one time years ago. And to me, it goes in the Bad Tweet Hall of Fame where a woman was like, yeah, sometimes I use the men's room because gender is a construct. And I leave a drop of blood on the floor to remind people that we are here and we exist. everyone was like what the fuck like that's gross you're leaving a drop of blood like oh wait okay wait like i feel like there's a lot of things that like people do with good intentions
Starting point is 00:57:21 the pussy hats are a great example of like did that do anything like right yeah that's the black instagram square yeah exactly like i don't know if that really did anything but like you were trying it but at least they're not actively like being disgusting like leaving a drop of blood on the floor is gross. I assume it's period blood, but I like the idea that she's like cutting her hand ritualistically. Yeah, I try to do a Naruto blood jutsu every
Starting point is 00:57:46 time I'm in the men's bathroom. I like to leave a trail for detectives. I will say, whenever I go to the bathroom and I see one drop of blood, I say, ah yes, a woman is here. Now I remember the woman. We are all God's children. Gender is not real. Let's read Emily
Starting point is 00:58:02 Madison's rules here. Please. Emily Madison is an autistic and cartoon nerd at the United States of America, 2006 to present. Interesting thing to put. That's maybe my favorite badge that we've read on the show so far. Yeah, that's pretty good. 2006 to present is like clearly when she was born.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Does that make it sound like she's employed here? Or maybe moved here. Number one, flush the toilet. Uh-oh. Nine exclamation points. If you're on your period, clean up bloodstains if they get on the toilet. So this is the opposite
Starting point is 00:58:29 if you're in the women's bathroom. If you're in the men's, you weave it. Weave the blood. Yeah, women's, you gotta flush that and clean it up take up space lean in there's like two different rules because the flush the toilet rule we also have in the men's room i've found uh that one is spoken about that we've we're always saying and also not followed an alarming amount have i said this sorry to go on another tangent and my old job i used to work for the government and like just like in what
Starting point is 00:58:57 capacity i worked for the department of education as an analyst and a sniper yeah uh no i just did like you know i did spreadsheets about schools anyway uh in the bathroom what kind of schools the frankfurt school just public school who did you kill um anyway uh i was a cia agent and in the bathroom they literally had to put up three signs on the each urinal and one on the door that said do not pee on the floor as if people were like i'm gonna fucking pee on the floor i read Oh, rats. You're not allowed to. Okay, no one told me.
Starting point is 00:59:34 I saw a Reddit post last night from some guy who owned a bar. He was like, I can't believe I still have to superglue my soap container's clothes so people don't pee in them. Oh, God. It was apparently a wanton rampage. Your monitor is turned off. The monitor died? Look, you don't need the monitor. I'll fix it for you when we're done.
Starting point is 00:59:52 We're back, baby. Hello. I'm just nervous. Okay, rule number two. If people you don't know are crying in the bathroom, don't bring it up or associate with them. Associate with them is so mean. You can't sit with us. They're in the bathroom to be alone, not for a therapy session.
Starting point is 01:00:09 If you know them, then you can. That's also very funny. My gut instinct would be immediately to talk to someone crying in the bathroom in case they are sad. I don't know if I would. I think that's pretty weird, actually. Yeah, I don't think I would. I think that's definitely worse than the urinal thing. I'm totally with Emily Madison.
Starting point is 01:00:27 I'm an empath. I think if I saw someone crying in the bathroom, I'd be like, you came here not to talk to Jeremy. I don't think that you're looking for me to be like, hey, buddy. You probably made them cry. I think a quick, are you okay? That's good. But if it's like a, tell me about it.
Starting point is 01:00:45 What happened? Men. How are you? Okay. number three don't poop in a public bathroom unless necessary what strong disagree that's what it's there for get rid of that rule get deleted deleted emily only 10 rules number four don't talk to strangers they don't want to talk to you also emily is what 14 years old because emily is a 14 year old artistic and cartoon nerd at the united states of america uh if a woman
Starting point is 01:01:13 brings a little boy into the bathroom with her don't jump to conclusions jesus christ emily how many as citizens arrests have you partaken in emily used to bring handcuffs to every highway rest stop she learned this the hard way freeze perv uh number six all caps lock the stall door but no exclamation point unlike flush the toilet number seven don't vape in there just don't most likely you'll be caught and looked down on also vaping is bad if you get caught vaping oh man your life is over oh no emily's the bathroom police over here for real not in front
Starting point is 01:02:03 of the ladies this is a lot of emily uh editorializing in this i don't know if this is all true number eight if you see people making out or doing the deed in the bathroom don't comment either leave or go into the stall most likely they'll leave too all right so the part of this i guess making out would be okay but if i saw someone like full-on fucking in the bathroom i'm gonna say something i'm also not saying a word i'm leaving you're not even doing like a they're fucking in the bathroom i wouldn't care this is a multiple person bathroom i would treat them like a crazy person that's on the street and just be like don't make eye contact if i would treat them like a bear sure i'm gonna just act big
Starting point is 01:02:45 be loud scare them raise them you have to be louder than they are you have to outdo their moans i don't know would you say anything if i saw people having sex having sex in the women's bathroom no i would just let them have their moment yeah i think i would well you two are a lot nicer than me um number nine if you hear someone throwing up don't comment they're probably drunk and embarrassed this again seems like a situation where some people need help sometimes but yeah sure Alex is like a life guard in the bathroom I just
Starting point is 01:03:19 I love people so much 10 if someone is eating alone in a bathroom stall be nice to them later most likely they have no friends okay outside of high school very strange to see this someone is eating in a bathroom stall it's 14
Starting point is 01:03:36 this is horrible these 11 rules could have been condensed into like three, because most of them were just variations of, like, don't talk to people. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Weave people alone. Number one, don't talk to me. I'm scared. Eleven, be respectful. Don't try to overflow the sinks
Starting point is 01:03:52 or trash it. Yeah, that's a good rule. And it's not often spoken of, unlike the sex thing. Don't trash the bathroom. Don't mess up the place. This is my home. I'm the bathroom witch. Alright, well, that's all of the
Starting point is 01:04:08 rules about women's restrooms that you could ask. Thank you for writing in with your Quora's. Send us great Quora's at Quora. I'm just reading Emily. There's all these comments on the rules and Emily has responded to them being like I don't know. It's one person wrote like don't poop in a
Starting point is 01:04:24 public bathroom bathroom and then like you know raises eyebrows. This is exactly what they're for. Then Emily was like I usually don't do it because my mom always told me not to when I was a wee little bean. This is like maybe a gendered thing. Don't argue with children on Quora. What are you doing?
Starting point is 01:04:41 You're clearly a child. She's still a wee little bean, okay? She's still a wee little bean. Be gentle. You're gonna squash the bean. You have made several mistakes in these rules, Emily. I find this a fool's errand.
Starting point is 01:04:56 I like filling the sinks and letting them flow. Yeah, a lot of those would make more sense if they had the caveat in high school. Yeah. Having sex in a bathroom makes way more sense in high school than any other situation. Okay, let's come up with a Quora. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:16 Do we have any questions? Yes. What if our Quora is... What is a... I thought I did so good last time. I can't believe it didn't get anything. Yeah, we did ask it like two days ago, so maybe we check in on it again, but... Yeah, we'll see if that comes up later. What's a good question? What's a question that we have?
Starting point is 01:05:32 What is a photo that is worth words? what is a photo that is worth words is already a quora so we'll probably get lost if we put another one on there uh we talked about city administration we talked about uh uh new laws what what is a law you would make what is a law you would make okay i think so there's we talked about like bark and being the meat of trees we talked yeah that's true about podcasts like what would what would someone have to say to you on their podcast that would make you leave the recording that is a good question now it's good bait for like people to talk about mark maron or whatever because yeah sure that reminds me of a lot of problems i have with mark maron no there
Starting point is 01:06:13 was he's always asking about people's lives that's personal there's the one episode where i think who is it gallagher he has on and gallagher leaves in the middle yeah it's like that famous quote of him being like come on gallagher and you gotta hear him walk it away yeah when he walked obama on his podcast yeah uh okay so what's something someone could say to you on a podcast that would make you leave okay that's a good now fuck that up so it doesn't sound right and it will be appropriate for quorum okay great what is something what is it you could say if you were on a podcast what questions you get asked that makes you leave what question fix it up a little bit but not too much i'm making so many typos that would make you leave yeah okay all right add question and then
Starting point is 01:07:04 let's see topics podcast podcast asking question hypothetical scenario i'm gonna say interviews i'm gonna say core i'm just gonna tag everything actually the main thing about core is you gotta tag experts so these are people who have left the podcast can you tag gallagher's dead you can't Gallagher is dead. RIP to the legend. He's mashed many watermelons. I can tag this guy, Michael Gallagher. Yeah, sure, tag him.
Starting point is 01:07:30 I'm going to tag every Gallagher on here. Tag a few Gallagher's, see if any of them respond. How many responses are, you may think I'm Gallagher. I'm not. Cool. And I tagged like 15 people named Gallagher. Wonderful. Well, it appears that's the show.
