Starting point is 00:00:00 um alex do you care if i minimize audacity i don't need to be looking at that right uh no you don't have to look at that okay cool unless you really wanna i don't and then who am i to stop you from looking at it like that with you know you're recording i've decided that we're gonna do cold opens now really where we have organic natural conversations about our lives and this was just a 45 minute discussion on incels and then you just hear the slowly hear the faded of the the music we get to the incels but it may be my podcast works that's how most podcasts are the fifth podcast i'm starting with brandon it's an organic conversation about incels and then after that you get the theme song which sounds a little bit like this
Starting point is 00:00:47 wow that's pretty professional this is in the show now okay you like my robot i do it reminds me of that old 80s or 90s hip-hop group cybotron you probably don't know about them yeah i was going for a real cybotron vibe mostly but only the discerning listener so far has caught on to that oh yeah um hey everybody welcome back to quarators the show where we ask what is quora what is quora what is this website and you know as i as we launched the podcast this week i told people about it i heard others say this very same question yeah that's true to my face what is quora i've never heard of that for the podcast they were just asking what is quora not like people who use quora and are confused by it or have stumbled upon it before
Starting point is 00:01:41 but people who genuinely don't know what i'm saying to them that's how you know you've hit the jackpot they don't really get the word play happening in the title if there is any of that it took me what two episodes to get the word play it's curators and quora i feel like it's a really good like you you get it what quorator oh you meant the title of the podcast not the what quora the word means yeah no quora is not anything isn't it just a plural of quorum we can't talk about that we have a very exciting guest this week i'm alex and this is jeremy we hear every time we're nothing we're insects we're insects on a wall but we have a very exciting guest this week and he's coming all the way down from the majority report and the discourse podcast
Starting point is 00:02:32 these are top new york city institutions you're not gonna get these on a ask jeeves podcast that's so true yeah it's true it's true i'm like a local new york celebrity like scabby the rat or the rent is too high guy oh yeah what's that guy's name oh i don't know now no no take that out like cut it cut it cut it i don't know the name if he doesn't know the name put it on quora uh brandon sudden we're here with brendan sudden and he's here rapping in the studio i didn't tell you i was gonna have you do that today but we're rapping i'm always prepared to rap whenever i come out on stage i'm i always feel like i'm one you know one beat away from going into a full drake i'm always ready to do drake's uh verse from what's my name with rihanna sure sure what drake
Starting point is 00:03:19 does is very loosely rapping in my opinion it's a lot of like classical musical style opera a lot of the time it's a lot of that it's a lot of punchline and setup yeah a lot of you know like uh what we doing tonight and then like you know pun based on the word night it's very like you know little wayne kind of like led the way in that in the 90s or you know early 2000s obviously it's a long legacy of that kind of rap but yeah i mean it almost feels like like you know have you ever seen the movie sweeney todd yeah where he enters the scene and it's like this is london i can't believe i'm in london that's kind of like what he's doing yeah sure but usually it's just like i'm in a fancy car i never thought i'd be in a fancy car because he's canadian yeah you kind
Starting point is 00:04:02 of get that like you know it's a mix of america you know the u.s and also like the uk and if you ever listen to like uk rappers they they just sort of devolve into limericks a few lines into every line that they do it's just like it goes from like you know normal rap normal rap and it's just like there once was a man from nantucket yeah they refuse to stop taking from the irish every moment of their god damn life for some reason my go-to reference for drake is his head coming apart and then they're showing all the sprite inside of it do you guys know what i'm talking about yeah man i watched so much degrassi um that whenever i see drake i always see jimmy i always fair enough from degrassi and that's what makes it always funny for me when he talks about
Starting point is 00:04:44 how like how hard he is now because we have his like childhood and early adulthood just like on television where yeah you know a the light-skinned boyfriend of multiple uh women who eventually left him for a different guy across the then he was shot by rick obviously right after he had mustard dropped on him and then he was like you know the wheelchair basketball player for a season or two but i i just think it'd be amazing to be shot by drake could you imagine being shot by drake and it's like laying on the ground like oh shit just like you just like you yeah he's hard the way many characters in the bible are hard before jesus saves them and brings them out of their chair i like to work a bible story into every episode
Starting point is 00:05:26 of the podcast so brandon i've told you virtually nothing about this show and uh what we do here is we go on quora and read the quoras and uh and then we talk about them and then we talk about also try we've been trying to ask quoras yeah we got like one recurring bit so far yeah where we ask a quora and we see if anyone has answered it the next week and so far no so wait no i think we got some on really unfortunately we've switched seats so you're gonna look that up now jeremy is now going to demonstrate the smoothness of the quora interface by using my profile i like the idea of quora and quora type sites because they feel like you know the spirit of the internet and i think a lot of these sites like wikipedia quora xg's you know yahoo answers stuff like that popped
Starting point is 00:06:12 up in the early 2000s where people were like no you know this is the benefit of the internet we can now crowdsource information yeah random strangers yeah you're gonna you can ask if you have cancer and strangers will say yes yeah and some of those strangers are doctors and some of those strangers are like witch doctors and some of those strangers are just like you know people who want attention online yeah other people who've convinced themselves they have cancer yeah and that's like the purest form of what the internet was meant for just answering people blindly what happened to us we had a heritage uh i went to quora.com and immediately it just says something went wrong what is what does that mean i just couldn't you know to find who answered our
Starting point is 00:06:50 questions i know no messages how do i do this now we don't like now we can just ask questions on literally every website we're on and people will give us answers to questions we've asked and answers the questions we haven't asked yeah that's true i mean it's really hard to get any of like so far we've had we've struggled finding answers to our questions because you're supposed to tag specific people to answer them which seems really outlandish and strange to me like you're strangers who don't know you're supposed to be like you're a historian why did the mongols fall or whatever and then if you don't do that it's like it doesn't give you that much traffic but uh we should get into it while jeremy's figuring out how to find this question what if i told you that quora was
Starting point is 00:07:32 down i wouldn't believe you i was just on it quora's what does it say when quora's down it just keeps saying something went wrong try refreshing or try again later this is what i was saying okay all right i'm on it on the app oh wait no now it says something went wrong okay this is what i whenever a website is down i'm gonna go on your twitter i'm sorry alex i always go to twitter.com and i look up like quora down and i'm guessing that no one is searching this Wait, we can't record the show if Quora is down. No, I'm aware of that. This is an existential question about who do you ask a question to when the question asking website is down.
Starting point is 00:08:14 I've literally assumed this would never happen. I did not think that Quora could fall. What kind of traffic is Quora getting right now? I thought Quora was too big to fail. Now I'm on it. I'm seeing a post about police officers. Police officers, have you ever dealt with anything paranormal or unexplainable? well let me tell you about that question there's a whole uh television show and a whole spin-off
Starting point is 00:08:36 television show called paranormal 911 right we watched this yeah we watched this together at my place uh you know alex and i yes that's the i gotta sound more cool cue for that and the big week it's like batman said criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot and you know cop as a subset of criminal are also very superstitious and cowardly so they've had many paranormal experiences i would say like just the law enforcement agency probably you know as a rule more people are suspicious there about paranormal things and yeah i've seen it well the thing is like anytime they get scared becomes a like official legal question of like well was there a ghost yeah because officers fled the scene well sometimes the ghost is just like the ghost of like
Starting point is 00:09:23 fentanyl like a little bit of dust on like a dollar bill or you know on the fentanyl they're stealing and so you know just by touching it not by snorting it not by injecting it just looking at it just looking at it you know no cop has ever done any drugs the spirit of the fentanyl and the many uh the many people it's taken in the past like overwhelm the officer because they're all empaths too yeah it makes you lie down it makes you have like uh like heroines and like od symptoms a lot of the time i love the idea of empath super uh a cop that's a great empath cop get on the ground i can feel your fear he is different evil uh we have a bunch of uh answers we have we have we have a bunch of answers we have six responses so far we've we got one from our last week we
Starting point is 00:10:13 asked three people have now answered last week's question whoa and the new question holy shit we're getting more every day we have been accepted in the quora community finally we're like thought leaders of quora right now i'm honored to be on such an influential podcast yeah we were no one okay i should also say just to the ghost cop question there's a recent movie starring eric banner called deliver us from evil where he plays one of the cops who is uh based on a true story obviously delivers from evil right a cop who's also a paranormal investigator in his uh spare time and it's based on like a real group of of chicago paranormal investigators which to me has always been like a very underrated idea for like a you know 9-1-1 sure like improv show where like
Starting point is 00:11:02 you have these just typical chicago cops you know who fight ghosts like ghostbusters but like just like fat chicago cops yeah they're not doing anything like uh climactic that way they're just like doing a beat of ghosts what is true detective doing that they can't do this yeah they could they can bring that back wait while we're on the ghost talk i found a ghost question should we do should we should we look at our answers for our mythological beast question oh what was the question that you asked we asked okay sorry all right let's just do that two weeks ago we asked newly married here has anyone ever married a cryptological beast such as a yeti or skinwalker and people apparently have oh yeah i could have told you this our top answer was just a guy who's
Starting point is 00:11:43 never married but we hooked up and then no further details all right so what are we where are we at now this is a very long answer okay oh you shouldn't have asked like this without expecting a very detailed condense zoom and enhance ellen nicto says i grew up in a town bordering the navajo nation and never heard about much beings there mainly because it is extremely taboo to talk about what malevolent beings lurk in the desert there particularly that word you use there that one starting with s yeah skinwalkers oh sure oh they wouldn't even say it yeah that's very common in native uh native culture is to not speak of evil spirits because it invites them into your you're like but i can't stop saying it's like voldemort but you're trying to invite them in
Starting point is 00:12:29 so you can hook up with them right yeah so we can have sex with them and marry them hopefully i mean i'm a romantic uh i would leave my wife and move in with the skinwalker uh i'm trying to like scroll through if this person is actually like dated one though okay this person's kind of just describing what a skinwalker is so one thing we found about the the clientele of quora is they really need someone to listen to a lot of the time and so they write out long have you have you never been to an actual q a session because if you've ever been to an actual like academic q a session you would understand that to solicit answers to a question a specific question is to solicit people to tell you what they think about any topic slightly related to it i haven't
Starting point is 00:13:16 i've only been to a quora session as of three weeks ago well welcome to the world of academia my friend if you give a talk on a paper at a conference and you say does anyone have any questions you get the you know the classic not so much a question as a comment and statement about my own work but i can tell you you know the negloshi aka skinwalkers are you know a very taboo topic in the southwest uh you know as a type of malevolent entity because they're like you know chaotic evil yeah they're okay they're bad it's never explained on tiktok why they're bad but they're like look out for these yeah no skinwalkers yeah they're not supposed to say it oh sorry the s word the s word well okay so this person this person spends like 600 words
Starting point is 00:13:57 explaining what a skinwalker is and then says like the creepy something about the stick men this is the creepiest part of the stick men's legend is that they're known to take human mates particularly young women or children to be raised as wives kind of sexist but okay and then later on says they're right she says it's also good that i was not told this when i was a child because i would definitely go into the woods at night in search of a shapeshifter boyfriend so no real answer sure i wasn't gonna find a better time to do it i don't think so this is fine okay if you the most well i mean not the most common but speaking of ghosts again paranormal as a subset of ghost business such a paranormal there are a lot of stories online about human
Starting point is 00:14:40 ghost sexual and you know interactions you know obviously ghost pregnancy not the you know the actual medical condition where people think that they're pregnant or experience pregnancy-like symptoms despite not being pregnant but to be impregnated by like a specter like a patrick swayze yeah like a patrick swayze or you know i can't think of another example besides ghost but rosemary's baby she's impregnated by the devil who's a form of ghost you could yeah you know one could argue a fallen angel perhaps i'm not here to taxonomize uh that's not why any of us are here you know i'm not into labels i just know that a lot of people believe and you know this is not like a ghostbusters reference again but a lot of people believe that you know not just incubi
Starting point is 00:15:19 the type of like you know sex demon yeah but like actual ghosts can impregnate human beings there's an episode of celebrity ghost stories where like tyler and tyler skylar gray uh the one who sings the hook when i need a doctor with eminem like details oh how she was like sexually assaulted by a ghost by a ghost yeah that's fucked it's fucked up you know ghost fucked up is that why she needs a doctor but one thing about like hooking up with paranormal creatures that's really interesting is that there are a lot of like uh novelty is the wrong word but um vanity published erotica in the monster paranormal realm especially back in the day when amazon first doing started doing a lot of like oh you can publish a chapter of your book
Starting point is 00:16:05 on our amazon whatever platform and people can pay per chapter like a dollar you know that's when paranormal erotica i would like to say really started booming uh bigfoot specifically i think people are very people want to fuck bigfoot people want to fuck some type of sasquatch and the grinch people really want to fuck the grinch people don't want to fuck the grinch people really want to fuck the grinch why he's like bigfoot but green he's nothing like bigfoot he's not a lot bigfoot is hyper mask whereas the grinch is very like he's like a he's like a crest he's like a stinker man he's a little foppish i don't know man you people date comedians that's similar to dating the grinch it's not the same as a comedian he's not as first of all not as charming he's telling you
Starting point is 00:16:46 to get away and maybe there's the appeal yeah maybe i don't know the grinch doesn't want me to want him and so i've doubled down the grinch is a sundari is a little bit there is a grinch fetish community there was a big reddit thing a while back where someone was like my girlfriend wants me to dress up as the grinch but i don't want to do it and all the comments were like yeah i've also tried to have my boyfriend dress up as the grinch when we have sex when you say dress up as the grinch now jim carrey spent around six hours every day in a chair with a professional to look like the grinch yeah what is the compromise i don't know yeah maybe just a little costume this could be our question for the day yeah if you want to fuck the grinch if we can
Starting point is 00:17:24 find a grinch community thing okay so i think you at least have to be green oh absolutely do you do green face like i don't think they need their hair maybe look at the whole she-hulk thing people are trying to fuck she-hulk she-hulk is way easier to dress up as than the grinch i think that like she's just a green woman really i think you could be satisfied with like a mask i think you could probably get a mask and maybe like a santa hat and maybe like i don't know i think you wear a bodysuit a fuzzy bodysuit that's what i would do yeah because i loved my wife at that point you know you're just you're just a furry you're a furry but you're yeah a new type of animal you're a christmas furry yeah you're like a thematic well you're more of an anti-christmas flurry
Starting point is 00:18:03 anyway and what other answers these answers are all terrible they're all really really long okay did anybody marry one person the best answer i can find and it's a terrible answer is someone probably married a skinwalker because skinwalkers are the easiest to find so that's a fact all right all right so now let's go to our next question and we're learning we're learning when else would i play it you're not right else would i play it all right yeah do the one all right so what is our question from last week fellas when you're wearing a full length pajamas and you're at the toilet do you stand up or sit down to pee after you take those bad boys off brandon do you have a thought on this i would say that just generally i prefer sitting down to
Starting point is 00:18:42 pee i think that if you're standing up to pee when you're getting up to pee at night like in the middle of the night and it's like dark out you're just trying to impress somebody you're asking for trouble you're trying to impress those ghosts you're trying to upset your girl you're trying to prove that you can aim in the dark it's more comfortable to sit down you could turn the white odd sitting standing up while peeing in the dark is the highest form of toxic masculinity and i feel comfortable saying that because it's not more comfortable it's not more practical it doesn't make anything you know easier i think people would like to pretend that they're like balls and dick are hitting the water that's not happening to you you're lying lying to yourself unless you have
Starting point is 00:19:19 like a toilet that has a bit of a clog and then you definitely want to keep that out of the water Or even just, you know, keep the seat down. I agree with you 100%, but I want to say you should turn the light on, man. You don't have to do it in the dark. But sometimes if I want to go back to sleep right after, once the light's on, that's going to add 10 minutes to the whole cycle because I'm very sensitive to that. I want to save the environment myself, and so I'm not going to add carbon emissions just so I can stand up and pee. We're not going to let your toxicity affect Brandon's environmentalism. We have three great answers, by the way.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Okay, let's do it. Uh, number one from Andy Ross, whose job is laborer. Me too. We're all laborers here. Don't wear the bad boys in the first place. LOL. Another benefit of sleeping naked is it's easier to take a piss. It doesn't even answer the question.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Yeah. He just made fun of us. Really? Yeah, he did. All right. What do I got to sound? Well, I can give a free killing spree. Killing spree.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Killing spree. Killing spree. I'm going to say no, because it says, was this a useful answer to your question? I'm going to write no. I would say yes. I think it's rude. I think you want to earn clout. You want to be positive.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Yeah, you don't want to be negative to our fans. I gave them an upvote because I already said no. Up Quora. You gave them an up Quora. This is from Gabriel Bell, who lives in the UK, is an atheist, a liberal, and is him slash he. Why would you take them off? Most PJs have a hole in the front. You can imagine what the purpose of that hole is if you put your mind to it.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Now, if you need to use the toilet for other purposes, don't make me describe the other purposes. then you take them off not since the era of the wild west have they come with holes in the back i think we're pretty clear we're talking about the ones that don't have a hole in the front otherwise you wouldn't ask the question yeah we know what the holes for you know we're probably romp them like yeah a romp them style like you know you zip it up yeah we're getting just like lined up and knocked down by everyone on quora so far well i i i ask you both was this use was this a useful answer to your question yes or no that one no i'm putting no i think the first one was yes i think that reading comprehension has fallen in western society so core becomes less
Starting point is 00:21:26 useless when you less useful when you realize that that's true but this is a great answer final one is and this is actually a helpful one from jan forrest former head chef and owner at food uh i don't know what the fuck i've been there i've never been the head chef at food i've always been more of a sous chef or subsidiary role it says 1985 to 1990 jan says that's even more confusing what years okay forget it jan says i'm 72 and have a dicky ticker the odds of my the odds of my blood pressure dropping drastically during a middle of the night pee break are significant i sit okay so that is a good that that's actually that's helpful but it's helpful you know because ultimately i think that's information you wouldn't get without a personal
Starting point is 00:22:19 story and that's the best kind of anecdotal data the kind of stuff that like you know may not necessarily be 100% applicable but like oh you know who else is going to tell you that if you have a bit of a heart condition or if you're prone to anemia maybe you should sit down at night because like yeah most accidents happen in the bathroom
Starting point is 00:22:34 most accidents happen closest to home especially if you're 72 years old exactly and you have a dicky ticker and you were the head chef from 1985 to 1990 of food we have a lot to think I responded thank you Jan that doesn't doesn't really apply to this situation well that's a good one though
Starting point is 00:22:54 um yeah what what do you think a dicky ticker means i think it means like i think a you know it's a old-timey uh like either british or like you know waspy new england slang for like a tricky like you know like a tricky dick you know fucked up dick you know like a little bit like you know uh uh what i'm looking for uh inconsistent inconsistent dick inconsistent yes you can't call on this to pull you out of a jam oh no hard sometimes it's too soft yeah you need a goldilocks dick exactly can i just say i'm really proud of us for getting so many answers on our questions yeah i know me too this is huge i think people want to answer questions i'm quite all right well brandon we're gonna help you like craft our question at the end of the podcast but uh
Starting point is 00:23:36 let's move into some finds of the yeah you want to you want to read one yeah let's see i'm pulling it up uh let's see i'm gonna do one of the animal ones yeah let's this is going to be an animal themed episode you said yeah so this one this episode if you couldn't tell already is kind of about animals it's all it's where you learn about wildlife and biology around the world and uh and uh so there are some the thing about the animal quora is it's kind of not as much fun because when you go to the animal sub quoras um you find like doctors and people who know how to write correctly right and their answers just aren't as funny but there were just some general like kind of kooky perspectives that were pretty good so this is a question i found called what
Starting point is 00:24:28 disturbing animals went extinct for which we should be grateful oh okay neanderthal our enemy neanderthals were all over this website but they were not in this question really uh photoshopped in photoshopped in they have a man nursing a giant scorpion i can't oh i think this is photoshopped when you say nursing you mean like with a bottle yeah he has a baby's bottle this is like a three foot long scorpion that he has in his arms with a bottle this is a photoshop job i don't think he's really i don't think scorpions drink milk i don't think scorpions get that big anymore no he's also holding it to the top of its head too so it's like if you were trying to nurse the scorpion you would be starving your scorpion yeah that's a terrible way to nurse
Starting point is 00:25:11 a scorpion well uh the answers here are some animals who went extinct for which we should be grateful pulmonoscorpius kirk kirktonensis is a giant extinct species of scorpion that lived in the middle of lower carboniferous its fossils were found in scotland i don't know i should be grateful i feel pretty good about that because we imagine how much time you'd spend nursing that thing it would take a long time it would be difficult you'd have to keep them as household pets to make sure they don't get above their their standards um i don't know brandon there are some pretty like big scorpions now and they don't really bother me at all yeah are there that big scorpions i mean not that big i just choose not to live next to big scorpion if you're in
Starting point is 00:25:57 australia you can get the big version of anything it's like uh supersize me over there yeah that's true all right here's our next answer um this is the helicoprion which means which name means spiral saw and it's a genus of cartilaginous fish of the order oh man this pop quiz on latin right now you cannot you eugenio don't if rb is very similar to the sharks that exist today i'm not grateful it's gone does not affect me never run into sharks never once in my life i like my favorite uh is the megalodon i you know yeah the movie the meg the meg the meg which apparently they're making a sequel to but it's also apparently based on a book which doesn't seem like it needs to be i don't think the people really watching that movie are reading books did you see and i
Starting point is 00:26:48 myself in that did you see the mag i've seen to make multiple times it's one of my favorite shark movies i would say when you were watching it does it come across like oh this is based on a book it doesn't but i guess you know neither the narrative layering is such neither does jurassic park but i guess there are elements of the mag that are very similar to like not necessarily jurassic park but some of like the traditional types of those stories like oh well we've discovered this hidden world where dinosaurs are still alive or that like and that's basically what the plot of the meg is yeah and then like you know they're all like those like chinese elements they've layered over it because it's taking a lot of money from china for funding but i don't care
Starting point is 00:27:26 it's it's funny to imagine and china helped us get rid of these the megs yeah there were megs until china invented shark fin soup thank you china getting rid of the mega shark one meg fin could feed a million people um it's fun to imagine watching the meg and being like you can tell this is based on a play they're all in the same room again one guy keeps leaving coming back they're placing their gun on the mantle in act one the meg is actually a series based on a series of letters between albert einstein and uh eisenhower during the second world war i had heard that i've also heard that that's a big thing that's one thing that comes across when you watch the meg the big shark film the meg all right here's a there's not too many of these it's not like last
Starting point is 00:28:16 week when we had 32 things in a row uh gigantopithecus gigantopithecus i would absolutely want that to come back why why are we happy that gigantopithecus is dead gigantopithecus does it it doesn't say why we're thankful it just says we're thankful gigantopithecus this is actually in my uh my field since i was an anthropologist oh yeah you know it's an early hominid uh it's one of my favorite things about the show where are you going all about gigantopithecus you knew about gigantopithecus before i pulled up this picture right now i used to know about all of the types of ape skulls and pre-hominid human skulls out there not anymore but my favorite thing about like uh those skulls is that if you watch ancient aliens or like episodes of shows
Starting point is 00:28:57 like that about bigfoot uh they will sometimes have like ancient uh hominid skulls in the background to imply that they're big skulls oh look at this giant uh gigantopithecus skull like this is what we imagine a big foot skull would look like you know this is what we'd imagine but i mean they look like giant orangutans yeah this it says it's a 600 kilometer uh they're big i'm glad they're gone they are grateful every day you're seeing an attack on titan that's basically what it is yeah they were they were doing baseball style attacks to all of the villagers all right we got it in there okay yep that was a good one okay and uh yeah so it says twice as bulky as a gorilla this list entirely is just like i don't like big guys
Starting point is 00:29:41 yeah big guys weird man yeah i think the um we were talking about this earlier i think a lot of people would like for this big guy to be around yeah like a big guy like a grinch i've read enough a03 to know that people like that i think this is like a classic you know what makes an animal scary and like old timey 80s and 70s horror movies like just being bigger slightly bigger than normal you know like uh you know arachnophobia the spider is like slightly bigger than normal yeah you don't want that the meg it's a bigger shark that's the big twist in the meg if you haven't seen it that there's multiple bigger sharks which i i mean i think is where else would they come there's always a big fish i think it's inspired yeah i believe it was quite on gin who
Starting point is 00:30:21 said that that was quite gungeon i've seen him do it he's always saying that i'm sorry i'm always popping off with these genuine questions about the mag i don't know where that came from so there's like two or three more animals that are just big animals but i did want to end with this last one which is called andrew's beast andrew's beast it was a gigantic and bizarre creature a strange visual mix in quotes between a bear and a wolf with a skull of 83 centimeters in length which according to some could even exceed a meter five times the size of the head of the largest lion today that's pretty big andrew's beast who's andrew just the name and sort of like description there sounded like one of those like two sentence creepypastas because they always have
Starting point is 00:31:08 names like this like peter's dragon or yeah andrew's beast and it's just like a it was kind of like a bear but scarier i'd be so upset being eaten by an andrew just consumed whole by andrew these are all like napoleon dynamite animals it's like kind of a bear but also a lion it's five times bigger than the biggest lion's head still think it's funny that's a good movie it's a good it's been a long time it has we gotta take it bring it back special napoleon dynamite episode of the quora podcast when are we doing it i don't know um okay what is the scariest animal no one talks about that's another one i have i got a lot of animal stuff yeah let's read them this is not on quora though
Starting point is 00:31:56 neither both of these oh never mind these are just weird links it's info orb.quora.com what is that it was the link it clicked when i clicked on the quora it's still on quora no i believe you don't tell the podcast i'm going outside no no no i'm not trying to accuse you but don't we want to know what the info orb is doesn't that sound interesting for us it's an information orb i'm looking at it right now i'd love to buy it it says information orb is it like you see like an orb no i don't see an orb there's no orb in sight it's just quora and matthew p vanderberg who was asked this question and this guy he was one of the ones who's like too literate to really have funny answers but i thought this was unhinged what is the scariest animal that no one talks
Starting point is 00:32:36 about round robin uh brandon has said man i was gonna say man also which is embarrassing i would say man um no one talks about nobody talks about how man is bad it's uh the best kept disney secret no the answer by matthew p vanderberg is chimpanzee without a doubt oh people definitely say that though right i mean that's like the whole plot of nope yeah that's like that john mulaney sketch no one talks about it monkey judge it shows uh and then it has a picture of a chimpanzee eating a smaller monkey wholesale in a way that's disgusting to look at oh you're not supposed to do that yeah you can't you're not right in the head okay i know many people who say chimpanzees are cute harmless and intelligent but they haven't seen the real chimpanzee
Starting point is 00:33:23 straw manning right off the top there because i don't know if i've heard any of this go on they have meat in their regular diet mainly monkeys as their first source of protein they also attack humans travis the chimpanzee almost killed her owner's friends and cut off parts of her body now do you still think they're cute yeah just downright nasty that's the end that's the whole thing yeah i don't know anyone who's nasty chimpanzees are cool i used to i mean i used to think anyone who even used to think that is a fucking i think that you know some people just need to learn to respect nature that's true animals and so you know again i stick by my original answer that man is the deadliest prey yeah but you know i think that
Starting point is 00:34:13 generally speaking chimpanzees are a good answer because they're our closest relatives in the primate in the primate kingdom and we know they also have a noticeably high amount of aggression they engage in hunting parties they bully each other uh you know i would say actually if i'm giving a real answer dolphins dolphins are scary that's true the one that people don't talk about being evil and don't they like rape yes they rape a lot they also have the ability and this happens they get jealous so oftentimes they're like if you swim with your boyfriend with wild dolphins they'll kill your boyfriend i mean not your boyfriend but a woman's boyfriend they'll kill my boyfriend they're like the grinch they're like daredevil they can use their sonar to point
Starting point is 00:34:54 pinpoint weak points on your body and like attack them like organs interesting oh my god daredevil should be dolphin man but they're too homophobic to know that if i have a boyfriend that i love him right they can't detect love no no no they don't know that's what's so scary about them they don't acknowledge that they don't acknowledge a homosexual relation that's another reason they're yeah they're homophobes not like porpoises porpoises love the case it's like the 80s back there in the ocean in the ocean it's like the 80s in the ocean that guy that one guy is head chef of food back there uh all right so those are some animal ones i thought those were pretty good there was also another one that i thought was pretty funny it was a is a turtle without a
Starting point is 00:35:37 shell naked or homeless and for some reason it was deleted by the website they're like this is forbidden no jokes we're not fucking around it's quora that's not what the website's for well do you think what do you think is it naked or homeless i think it's dead yeah Turner shells are part of their bodies. Their spine is attached to the shell. It's like saying if you cut someone's leg off, is he naked or homeless? It's like, no, he's missing a leg.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Almost exactly the same as that. Thank you. If I skin you, are you naked or homeless? I'm not skinning either. Good lord. What's up? You want me to read some of these? What's up?
Starting point is 00:36:15 I have some that are a little weird. I have to imagine that the vast majority of questions on sites like this are either about the paranormal or about like personal medical or relationship things that you otherwise could not like google search so like i mean i would be interested if anyone ever has like a you know breakdown of core internally has a breakdown of like what topics the questions are mainly about yeah i'd say a good 25 that i've found at least the ones that core is sending to me are like the beginning of porn like most of them are like uh what do i do if i accidentally kiss my my friend's girlfriend
Starting point is 00:36:50 and it's just like pinholes yeah classic classic my friend's mom caught me jacking off am i in trouble or should i kiss her i hate to say it this is why we need sex ed this is why we need a comprehensive sex ed and this is also why we need a comprehensive ghost education so we can you know preempt these questions this is cheating because i saw this and this was a reddit post but it was a woman going it's my son's friend keeps jacking off with the door or peeing with the door open just so i see his big dick and it's like what do you want me to do about it i think it's just a symptom of the world we live in and i see this on twitter all the time too where people will post very specific problems they're having as though you know if only society had a rule for it
Starting point is 00:37:36 it could prevent it from happening to you but it's like no we have rules for these things sometimes you've got to take yeah like hey hey you little pervert close the door there's no rule that we tell him he's peeing with the door open and he has to close it walk away you know he's only peeing to show off his big dick tell him to hide his large penis i hate it when children are always showing off their big dick by peeing pisses me off oh yeah so how much time have we done let's just say on the audacity um it says we've been recording two minutes uh 38 that was extremely concerning for me luckily i trust you with computers far more than other co-hosts i've had in the past so it's fine but uh yeah i have another animal quora yeah do another
Starting point is 00:38:24 animal quora of course this is from clayton smith owner at fire suppression company what happens if you start pounding your chest in front of a gorilla oh they're gonna take that aggressively yeah i'd say it kills you is the answer first of all it calls you into its office uh with the head of hr at the zoo explains that this kind of mimicry is actually a violation of uh title nine yeah that's fair you're just not allowed to do it when you do that how do you think i feel how do you think i feel it's like a question you're getting first of all i bet you saw that in a cartoon about a gorilla yeah that's not how we act it's it's the michael jordan face and i took that personally it's just like doing incredibly intense and emotional like sign
Starting point is 00:39:06 language to communicate this violation of trust and so yeah you know just don't do it just don't do it well is that what the answer he gets so no clint clayton's answer is my buddy did this at a zoo once not he was separated by the unbreakable glass of the gorilla enclosure he is an idiot he was probably 37 years old at the time damn he started hopping up and down and pounding his chest a gorilla quickly closed the distance between him and the glass and pounded his giant ape fist to the glass creating a loud and echoing sound this sounds like he's writing a novel yeah then the gorilla just stood there and stared him down the glass didn't break or crack but my friend said he had never been more scared in his life he quickly walked away with his figurative tail between his
Starting point is 00:39:47 legs while trying to catch his breath wondering how he could have been so stupid i feel like he was right he was fine though oh he was fine but he was in the wrong where you can all agree on that i don't know i think that gorilla proved to the alpha was and he wouldn't you know yeah completely mogged uh that guy at the zoo that glass is not unbreakable though i've seen videos yeah of gorillas breaking that glass so you know you just shouldn't do it probably this is also that's a good example of what uh smaller gorillas do when they beat their chest and then a bigger gorilla sees is they're just like hey shit i'm sorry about that i'm going through a lot right now so sorry dude i've just i've i've been watching too much tv i kind of like don't
Starting point is 00:40:27 remember to talk to people i just watched tarzan last night it has me feeling all kinds of wild i am so sorry my girlfriend had covid and i haven't talked to anyone in like three weeks i feel like a child i feel like a gorilla child it's a damn gorilla i feel like a damn gorilla child it's not my intention to offend you as a gorilla but my actions as a gorilla do not justify that um do we have any any other good questions i found a good question this isn't like a particularly good quora but just made me laugh the way they phrased it says adults only colon do you change out of your work clothes once you get home yeah i do i try to you know although honestly i've i've felt this a few times in my life where they make me wear the stupid polo to go to work or
Starting point is 00:41:19 whatever i take home and i'm like it's still a good shirt oh yeah hey this is fine you could wear it as like an ironic polo out yeah but hey i'm anybody need me to install this drink it's funny that you mentioned this because i've been watching a lot of like early 2000s makeover shows and like what not to wear has aged very poorly but one thing i noticed about that is that one of the big like clothing secret from back then that i've totally forgot about is the you know you have to have a versatile outfit so when you go to work you can go straight to the bar afterwards you know it's the kind of like okay you work as an executive assistant at like a condé nasc fashion magazine and then you run right out to the bar to meet you know your sex in the city
Starting point is 00:41:58 style friends for apple martinez you might as well double up you look kind of like shit all the time that's obviously not you know realistic for people who work in polos you know but i think that for a certain class of people it was very you know ideal to have those kinds of versatile outfits back in early 2000s now everyone you know does door dash so yeah or what you want when i worked at an office at a college i would change in the bathroom after work which was very humiliating for some reason really dude tell me more about your lowest moment i mean it's not that low did you ever cry did you ever cry oh yeah usually it was i mean this is even more more sad is that i would be changing into like a different clothes to like head off to an open mic yeah i don't need them
Starting point is 00:42:39 to see me as as the servant i am i want to look funny like adam divine adam divide from workaholics yeah okay he wears he wears like he's like a good guy who wears like comedian outfits sure sure sure sure sure sure he's got a button down yeah he's laughing but he's strong exerting dominance he's the gorilla beating his chest behind the unbreakable glass of comedy he's kind of a gorilla guy uh okay let's do let's do a few more questions here it doesn't have to be animals okay although if it is animals i can hit uh-huh honey the moo yeah so that will be a big pop if i can get that in um do you have any that you want to read yeah i can pick one of course i want to do that um all right uh why did humans lose the staff
Starting point is 00:43:35 in parentheses penile bone? Why did humans lose the penile bone? I'll take some answers from the room. Why did humans lose the penile bone? I'm sure there's some cool religious answer. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:43:51 I say cool. Yeah, a really cool one. One time, so and so in the Bible. Josiah sinned. Josiah sinned and God was like, no more penis bone. Man was simply never meant to be this hard. You're fucking too much.
Starting point is 00:44:07 You approach the stiffness of Zeus. Yeah. That's actually what the Tower of Babel is about. People don't know how to read in allegories anymore. It's actually about the penis. Sure. Man's penis tried to get so big it fucked the heavens. A tower?
Starting point is 00:44:20 Is any of this getting across? Come on. Come on. Wake up, America. Too many languages? Sex noises? Media literacy is just ridiculous now. We don't teach kids anything anymore.
Starting point is 00:44:33 and so this is the same guy who answered the apes the animal fear question matthew p vanderberg uh maddie p the exact cause is unknown what terrible answer and then he does a whole thing about like why you need a penis uh it says so far uh the penis bone is important when the sexual competition of the species is in question is characterized by being tall so when you're tall you can like get in there from farther away so you can like it's from downtown okay impregnate so if you have a penis bar are you just always hard i guess i don't know what kind of animals have penis bones still yeah we need supplementary research jeremy look that up do you want me to look up penis bone on your computer yeah look at yeah look at that's not the worst thing i've
Starting point is 00:45:22 looked about my computer sounds good penis i guess the first suggestion is cancer no not that I don't think you can get cancer of the penis bone. Penis bone. It's called baculum. Baculum. Good band name. Grinches still have penis bones. That's why women are always down to fuck them, because they're tall.
Starting point is 00:45:40 They win the sexual competition. It is present in some primates, such as the gorilla and chimpanzee. Oh, okay. Well, this is saying that it increases the duration of intercourse, parentheses, just over three minutes on average. The bone is located above the male urethra, and it aids sexual reproduction by maintaining sufficient stiffness during sexual penetration.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I feel like if I had a penis bone, I would have broken it at least once. Absolutely. So I'm glad that I don't have one. I don't know how gorillas get around that fact, other than if it retracts into their bodies or whatever, but mine doesn't, and I would have definitely walked into something by now. Yeah, they got little guys. They got like little six-shooter penises.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Quick draw. Jeremy's learning over there. Yeah, sorry. In some bat species, the baculum can also protect the urethra from compression. Oh. So there you go. That's a little weird. Is that like when your penis slinkies?
Starting point is 00:46:41 I assume so. Is that like when it slinkies? Is it supposed to be slinking that much? Nobody talk for this. this this is part of the podcast now i'm on the wikipedia for penis bone and i it's not it's giving me too much text it's not telling me why so it's saying that you get to have sex for longer but i don't understand why like why does it why does having a bone make you last longer is it because there's less blood in there i found a religious answer there we go it has been argued
Starting point is 00:47:16 that the rib in the story of adam and eve is actually a mistranslation of a biblical hebrew euphemism for baculum and that is removal from adam in the book of genesis is a creation story to explain this absence oh yeah i don't believe that that seems like a that seems like a stretch no yeah so like a biblical quaraders people were like where is our baculum i'd say there just seems to be a biblical answer for a lot of things and it just seems it's unnecessary sometimes it's okay for there not to be a religious answer for a question i disagree i think there's gotta be one every time i picked on the the the word for the thing the wikipedia for penile spines and it just shows me a cat's dick just like a cat's dick they got the grappling hooks that come out of it
Starting point is 00:48:02 yeah they sure do they sure do you know how people um use the term grower and shower yes i recently learned about an alternative to this that i'm like obsessed with but no one else cares about where people say meat dick and blood dick have you heard of this i love this no one seems to care i've never i've never heard this before why do you love it oh it's kind of cool why do you love this like uh instead if you're a grower you're a blood dick if you're a show where you're a meat dick you know i think it sounds better for growers than grower does sure that's for sure Where showers are like, that's right. I'm the shower.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Correct. I, it sounds like Dick sounds like an insult. He's got a meat. Yeah. Blood Dick makes you like the Edward Cullen of dicks. Okay. Yeah. You're like a vampire dick.
Starting point is 00:48:52 For me, it sounds like D and D like meat. Dick sounds like a barbarian. And then war warlock is blood dick. I have a warlock dick. I think Warhammer 40, you know, 40 K like, you know, blood for the blood dick for the meat throne. and also like you know meet dick like meet dick he's kind of nice sure sure sure sure his penis is always huge that's what it is if you see it that's how it's gonna be you can see it from space
Starting point is 00:49:19 he stands up when he has his bad boys off you found a bunch at the like last moment yeah let's do it let's do one of these we'll find a good one then we'll make a question um this is a story this is like a sexy story that i found on quora yeah i like to read sexy stories with my friends uh this is the question is is it bad to wear a see-through skirt purposefully yeah i think it's bad yeah i think it's bad well it goes against the purpose of clothes all right well former retired mechanical engineer at retired uh ken parnell which i don't know if that means he's retired or clear up anything for me can i say that do you think he's retired if he's a former retired mechanical engineer retired this just raises further questions about the skirt
Starting point is 00:50:07 and i wasn't expecting to be a former retired mechanical engineer um i think that he's retired from retiring okay i think that he's back at work back at work he has nick fury showing up at his work all the time being like we need one more job we need one more mechanical engineering fix one more i need you to make me an invisible skirt uh ken says i worked for a company who had to make see-through clothing a dress code violation primarily due to one female which are already a red flag who seemed to enjoy showing off the goods counseling didn't work write-ups didn't work they finally had to tell her she did it again she would be discharged and then she asked honey she asked for what and strangely enough wearing
Starting point is 00:50:50 see-through clothes was not mentioned in the employee's handbook she came in the very next day was see-through everything and displayed the nips and bush to everyone she was terminated and someone took a picture of her in the in that i don't and semi and they added it to the employee handbook she then sued the company for a crazy amount of money and they showed the picture of her in the clothes that got her terminated and the nlrb educator told her that she would have fired her ass long before it came down to this and then told her she needed to reimburse the company for the expense of proceed the proceeding as it was frivolous what is the question even anymore is it bad is it bad i just don't believe this question none of this is true it just seems
Starting point is 00:51:34 like some person's like ax to grind about why women shouldn't be allowed to wear see-through clothing there's no way that this will be okay this happened so like this is like a beyond belief style question like fact or fiction and i'm gonna say like fiction i love that she that she before he retired i i just really like that she did it as like an air bud thing which is just like there's no rule that says i can't be nude it's all sheer these are the kinds of like urban legends that like 65 year old retired people tell themselves about the workplace like these are things that are happening and then like you know i like how the arc of the story that she gets her comeuppance and they force her to pay back the like the legal fees like none of this happened none people are
Starting point is 00:52:13 arguing this the national labor relations board actually told her she was a bitch the top the top question on this is do you have that picture and then someone says how could he have a picture that never ever existed except in his imagination and the reality is that that's a that that it's a made-up story from a sad tragic perv oh my god there's a lot of gotchas in the comments of quora you can just write erotica you know yeah exactly you know the dress code violations i you know obviously dress code is stupid but it's i think one thing that jobs have been more concerned about now uh as like you know obviously a lot of a lot of uh gen zers started the first two years of their like uh corporate careers working from home and now you're you're
Starting point is 00:52:59 hearing all these articles about like oh like this whole suit wearing generation is dying out and like now kids are showing up to work with their whole ass bush out so like you know these are just like the moral panics of a aging generation of people who are still somehow holding on to the reins of power yeah companies like they think they're in mad men oh yeah right yes in mad men everyone wearing a standard unsee-through skirt it's true technically we're all wearing invisible skirts all the time if you think about it so it's it can't be bad it's a wonder woman's plane situation oh yeah i will say that the guy who said do you have that picture he's just ignoring the person who called the guy a perv and he's just asking again like right but you must have the handbook right
Starting point is 00:53:40 the picture isn't there when you're on quora can you like click a person's like name i imagine you can and see what other questions they've put up in the yeah that's a great question this is how they try to get you to interact with the other so this is what we can see what what ken parnell is coming up with i can see a photo of this man he's uh how does he look i can already picture him in my head and i bet you he looks exactly as i can picture him he's a pretty older pretty old looking dude he's got a hawaiian shirt that's what i was picturing he's got a big floppy hat that's like way too low on his head does he have a white mustache he he he has no facial hair but he's got like an old look he's going like okay that's close um his most recent
Starting point is 00:54:21 answer is uh about the hunger games okay answering what would happen if katniss had never volunteered and says it would be a very short book most of his answers are about wizarding yeah he's like uh he's like an irish like a like a leprechaun like a gotcha type he answered the question is there a real life equivalent to the magical marriage between witches and wizards and he says marriage is a simple partnership between two people in which they vow to stay with each other through all that life that can throw at them and to behave as adults love and sex are not always the same thing and wizards and witches both understand this i know i joke around a lot in here but it's actually very straightforward well i think that so i know this because i watch a lot
Starting point is 00:55:04 of television uh at least in wicca i know it's watching charmed the original charmed with uh shannon doherty alissa milano and oh my gosh i forget who plays uh piper it doesn't matter um fuck yeah right uh so like they have a what they call a hand binding ceremony which is like similar in some ways to like marriage but they like actually bind your hands together like on an altar where they have like altar uh religious symbol uh well nature and wicca symbolism so i think you know is he referring to that where they bind your souls together but that's basically marriages anyway a lot of like you know christian you're telling me buddy like pagan come from like pagan rituals can i can i read a very confused conversation that ken parnell was a part of at
Starting point is 00:55:48 one point oh yeah sure just like the ken parnell cast this is quora trying to like figure out like all these gay teens so this is a question that he answered is it gay if a male dates a girl whose pronouns are he slash him yes if you have to ask it always is and he says pronouns don't make you anything and you are what makes you you and in case you're wondering you is an effin pronoun as well and he spelled out f-n-e-f-f-e-n this is the the weird conversation the wizard guy this is the wizard guy he's stepping outside the box to take you to school like a grammar humor he's right you know yeah he knows a lot that's one of my favorite things to do when i see somebody who has a really interesting tweet or really interesting reddit post is to go and see what
Starting point is 00:56:31 else they're into yeah you know and i think that's what's great about stuff like reddit because you can see the full range of people's personalities like yeah sometimes they're arguing in a crypto post about how like anyone who doesn't invest in like dogecoin is going to be working in the lithium mines in 20 years and then you'll like pop over and you'll see them in like relationship advice and she's like my wife left me for putting too much money into dogecoin how do i break it to my wife i lost our child's uh college fund in a crypto pump and dump scheme and they're like giving advice to people oh no yeah absolutely like every in every crypto pump and dump scheme there's always a guy and he always has a wife who told him not to be involved in what
Starting point is 00:57:12 do i do with my wrong wife all right you found a really good title here oh sure right before it's The second one from the bottom was a good post? This one's a great title. It's not a totally great answer, but the title I found was very interesting. Maybe this is our last one. Okay. And this is from Dennis Manning. The question is, my neighbor is acting very suspicious.
Starting point is 00:57:35 He constantly has his blinds down, and I once saw him bringing in multiple guns into his house. Should I contact the police, or is it none of my business? What do you think? Should this man be arrested for having his blinds down and owning guns? I mean, this is America. So that's the most American thing I've ever heard in my entire life. You don't want your neighbors looking in.
Starting point is 00:57:54 And if they do, you want to shoot them. This is a crazy question. He's actually asking to arrest a person who's following the law more than he is. He's following more of the laws. Having your blinds down has never been a crime. I think that's just a funny one where he's like, I can't see into his apartment. I want to see what's going on in there. Let me see, dude.
Starting point is 00:58:15 Come on. I don't want to implicate myself. If I see my neighbors stockpiling guns, I just assume that, you know, they're law-abiding citizens. But I also buy bulletproof windows for my own place. Yeah, sure, gorilla-proof windows. Yeah, exactly. You know, I watch a lot of, like, house-hunting shows, too. And so I know that, like, in neighborhoods like this, I know in my head I picture a suburban neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:58:42 I picture a cul-de-sac where, like, houses are laid out in sort of a semicircle, circular pattern. And I picture everyone having like, you know, those big wooden fences and like a quarter of an acre backyard, you know, that kind of environment is basically like living in old timey, not middle earth, but middle earth, but middle Europe in the sense that like every house is its own little like princedom where like, you know, you have to defend your, you know, your yard from the neighbor's dog pissing in it. You have to kill that dog with one of your multiple guns. Absolutely. You know, you have to, you know, ensure that the boundaries of your property are respected by your neighbors when they are doing, you know, any number of things that might encroach upon it. So, you know, I think that people are getting more and more militarized in the suburbs just to defend themselves against each other. I think that's right. Purge.
Starting point is 00:59:28 So this guy got owned pretty hard by this answer. It's very quick. So someone responded. Dennis Manning responded. Wait, let's get this straight. He expects privacy from nosy neighbors and brings stuff into his house he can legally and constitutionally own. You should become skilled in nunya because it's nunya business. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Who couldn't see that coming? Got him. Every, yeah, nunya, I was like, nunya what? I like how, at least on this site, one of the legitimate answers is like, you shouldn't be asking this question. This is not an appropriate question. Get away. Shaming these question answers. Quora is the opposite of a brainstorm in that there are many bad questions you are not allowed to ask.
Starting point is 01:00:12 I like and I think that the big thing is that, you know, for the most part, if you're going to do this kind of nosiness, you're going to be kind of nosy. You should just like learn to keep it a secret. Don't go online and start like leaving a diary of like you're spying on your neighbors. This is like a found footage movie. Go shut your mouth real quick. I found a really good one. I know we're out of time. and then we'll ask a question real quick okay uh what consequences would it have on a human being
Starting point is 01:00:41 to be raised by animals um probably none none yeah i think that you'd probably just end up being a normal person brandon depends on the animal depends on the oh that's a great answer unfortunately we have the case of dina sanichar as reference a boy who was raised by a pack of wolves and then it shows a very skinny man who is like mad dog in the camera in 1867 uh in 1867 a group of hunters entered a jungle inside a cave they found a boy no older than six years the boy was completely alone could not speak and walked on all fours they took him to an orphanage where they tried to teach him to walk and talk and gave him the name dina sunny char the problem was that the gap between his cognitive ability and his animal instinct was too great so he was never able to
Starting point is 01:01:24 speak he could only make wolf sounds it's like your dream yeah it could be it could be anyone's dream but it's more of a nightmare because he he's thinking he's a wolf for the rest of his dang life he can't fit in he can't get shots he dies of tuberculosis so he for 20 years he lives among the humans he's never able to adapt and he continues to eat raw meat which he should not do no people do it now somebody in the orphanage should be like no i'll cook your meat yeah no that's like jordan peterson shit in roughage uh he ended up dying of tuberculosis in 1895 so yeah uh i'm more curious about like i think his mannerisms as children as children we all like take for granted these like raised by wolves stories but the older again i'm just like i'm
Starting point is 01:02:13 many that we hear you don't hear those all the time i think that's like a thing no i don't this is the first one i've ever heard really i was like i have to share it i feel like i feel like that's such a thing jungle book yeah jungle book and all of the stories tarzan jungle boys like um but it's just funny to imagine being a child and being like well i guess i'm a wolf everyone around me is a damn i'm like a fucked up wolf i have a really ugly wolf the wolves are not attracted to me at the slightest they think i look crazy you know i think uh i have no penile exactly you know i think in some sense people you know people still think this like cognitively speaking language and learning language is what gives our you know brains a lot of their uh their
Starting point is 01:02:57 structure and our thoughts a lot of their structure without like the structure of like language human beings kind of lose a lot of what makes them people and you know that's been a theory in like socio and i think cognitive linguistics for a long time that like without the ability to like reduce our thoughts down to like coherent interpersonal like communication like we also lose the ability to like conceptualize higher concept thoughts where so you know we end up more animalistic in nature but like being you know raised as a wolf is different from like not being able to like speak english because you haven't you never learned it and you also never you know had that kind of like uh upbringing but you learn valuable wolf traits like six years old is an
Starting point is 01:03:39 adult wolf he was a legal adult in the pack right other all the other wolves probably thought like he was immortal they probably thought that yeah literally their version of like a werewolf fucking god the shittiest wolf we have is never dying he lives so long he can't uh bring anything down with his teeth but god damn he is the same age i swear to god so if language is so important is is our podcasts the last line of defense between men becoming animals i think that's true more and more there's i'm hearing that yeah a lot of people are saying that i've heard that today i see that a lot on twitter yeah this is really important stuff we're doing well it should be asking yeah let's ask a question how do i do this okay um well we're gonna have to like
Starting point is 01:04:26 go to uh how do you do well you've been doing it click around aquara it's very confusing do i have to go to like a community first um no there should be a button that's just like 9-11 graphic content is one of the spaces under movies yeah go ahead and sign up for that all right what kind of question do we want to ask uh what temperature do you think steel melts at yeah do a 9-11 one you want me to do a 9-11 question yeah we'll ask one about 9-11 people are over 9-11 warning this space contains graphic content okay so what's what's our angle for the steel beams one because they're gonna they're gonna be like we've heard this yeah i don't think we need to discuss the steel beams we all know what temperature steel melts on what temperature that uh gas burns at
Starting point is 01:05:12 so yeah no need to spread propaganda maybe something like you know here's a question that no one ever asks about 9-11 what is building seven because i don't because i don't know it's a smaller oh they're all gonna answer that it's gonna be the um actually question uh building seven is where they stored all the financial information from the pentagon and where they We're like, oh, all the trillions of dollars missing. So our question is, what is Building 7? No, you should ask, what about Buildings 8 through 10? Yeah, that's a good question.
Starting point is 01:05:43 We've all heard about Building 7. What about Building 8 through 10? And what is hiding there? How do I do this? Or should we do 1 through 6? Yeah, that makes more sense. Who knows the most about 9-11 at this table right now? How do I?
Starting point is 01:05:58 I know a lot about 9-11 conspiracy theories. right well i just i have a hard time remembering like the specific data of it it is pretty hard to talk into the mic while doing the actual question jeremy and that's part of it's part of growing up we've all heard about building seven but what happened to buildings one through six and then i'm gonna say nobody ever wants to talk about it what are they hiding don't say what are they hiding just say no one ever wants to talk about it because we'll get a lot of people being like yeah no one ever does want to talk okay okay yeah yeah okay so this is gonna be we're gonna pop off again add question and you gotta put it in a few sub quoras it's
Starting point is 01:06:48 asking me to um edit it in a way that is grammatically incorrect oh no i see i see I'll use a suggestion. Last week, it wanted me to take fellows out. So don't listen to that. Okay, and then buildings. It's going to be buildings, architecture. Can we do 9-11? Yeah, just hit all of the above.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Just jam those in there. 9-11, 9-11. Okay, so it's buildings, architecture, construction, interpersonal interaction, 9-11 attacks, 9-11 conspiracy theories. Okay. Cool. done that's a that's a quora god damn we knocked this out of the park i think so this is the most
Starting point is 01:07:33 important episode we've done yeah i'd say it's up there in terms of learning about s words oh yes back sws sex workers yeah sure i was going for skinwalkers oh not in my house oh my god i'm so sorry outside of my house that you could say it but you do not say it in my house I learned today. If we get killed by skinwalkers, that would be so funny to me. What if we get kissed by skinwalkers? I can seduce a skinwalker. I think you could.
Starting point is 01:08:04 I could give it the ride of its life. They're going to come skinwalking over to you to have sex. Hello, I love your skin. I love the way you're not a dog or a deer, but instead a man. This has to end. I don't know how the show ends. Brandon, you're the hero of the day.
