How have I been on your mind?
I just loved our time together.
It was sweet.
And then I saw the powder donuts and I was like,
what was different with our time than all the other people's time that you've had?
Well, I can actually tell you a lot of actually things.
The first thing was you actually hung out, which was dope.
There's a lot of people like come in and then they just leave.
Yeah.
But you actually hung out and I thought that was cool.
Well, it's because you had a dope Asian.
Yeah, that's right.
That's why.
That's exactly why.
Yeah.
You're trying to poach him, which is fine.
Oh, it's like, he's doing something special over here.
Well, dude, you know what's crazy is who did we have it?
Who did we just have?
Oh, yeah, we had neon the other, like yesterday or two days ago.
And he said something about him going to Japan.
And he looks right at Chris.
And it's like, what, are you Japanese or something?
And I was like, dude, that's two people in a row that are just calling.
And Chris came out of the corner.
He's awesome.
Oh, he's awesome.
Phenomenal, yeah.
So, yeah, I would say you hung out with us.
And I don't know.
I just like to hang out with you.
Wow, that's sweet of you, man.
That's really nice.
Thank you.
How did you get your team together?
They're just like bros that you knew, like growing up?
Well, I met a, so I had a roommate.
His name was also Chris.
And then I lived with him the whole time I've been in LA since I got married.
Yeah.
And he knew, like he grew up with him in Maryland.
And then Asian Chris, they were friends in L.A.
for like five years.
Asian Chris, anime, Chris.
Yeah.
That's how I like to also refer to him.
Dude, so getting married so, y'all.
That's how you like to refer to it.
Yeah, anime, anime, yeah, the anime guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, I just just so, so entertained in Japanese culture.
I love how you already have a nickname for him.
Yeah.
Anime Chris.
I'll never forget it.
Yeah, you can't forget.
He likes anime.
He, just to be clear, he said it.
Yeah, he does like that.
I was referencing Dragon Ball Z, and you were like, what the fuck is this?
By default, he's at least seen four minutes of anime.
He definitely knows, like, lore.
He's, like, obsessed with Asian culture.
He is, like, obsess with Asian culture.
He is like obsessed with Asian culture.
So he's definitely.
Speaking of aging culture.
Just kidding.
Marriage.
I thought you were going somewhere with that.
So I was like, I was ready.
No.
Marriage.
Marriage at such a young age.
Yes.
Before you met this person, did you think that that was going to be your life?
Did I think I was going to marry her?
Young.
No, no.
Before you met her, you couldn't think you're going to marry her.
But before you met her, were you like, I'm going to get married soon?
I mean, like, I always wanted to get married young.
But like I, I,
didn't I didn't have that expectation of like I'm going to get married by like this age no matter
what kind of vibe I just like I want to get married young yeah but I'd also never had a serious
girlfriend before so in my eyes I didn't know how possible it was to me you're so young how could
you have had like you had that many well you know how like did well did you have like a high school
girlfriend you guys like dated for a year or something see like that was not me at all whatsoever I tried
to date a girl in high school I dated her for a day and then broke up with her yeah I mean it's also
high school. Yeah, yeah, that was at my freshman year of high school. And then you like what? You,
you say, when did you meet your wife now? I met her, uh, November of 23. So how were you,
how old were you then? I was, uh, 19 or 20, no, I was 20. Okay. Still like straight out of high school.
Yeah. It's still like straight out of high school. Nothing wrong with it. It's just like it's so it's, it's
dope. I mean, I think nowadays like you see that way less than you ever seen it.
Like back in the day was a much more of the norm.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
I think a lot of people, I think it's becoming more the norm again, though.
Really?
Yeah, I know a lot of people like, or maybe it's just because like I'm maybe in more of like
a Christian environment, but I know a lot of people that are getting married young right now too.
Yeah.
Like one of my other old roommates just got married like a month ago.
And then one of my other roommates beforehand got married in August or September of last year.
So I know a ton of people getting married young.
It's kind of cool.
Yeah, I missed the boat on that one.
We joked about that.
Not yet.
Not yet, though.
never know. We just got to like, you got to let me find you like a good Christian woman.
Because I'm telling you, all these LA influencers, they hop on Raya and Hinge and they try to find
these like these, you know, these relationships. No, no, no. Let me find you a good Christian woman
that will love you right. It's so funny, man. The religion thing is so interesting to me.
Well, you know, it can be, it can be, I see you become a Christian. I see that too. I see that
I mean, I just, I don't know, there's something about it that I was talking to you on your
podcast about it. Like, there's obviously nothing wrong with these religions, Christianity,
Catholicism, whatever. There's just something that I just, for some reason, I can't fully get
behind. Like, I think it's because of the way messages are delivered. Like, for example, I was
watching a bunch of your stuff. And remember when we spoke on your pod, I think my, there's actually
after your pod. You're like, yo, I did a pod with this Kenneth Copeland guy. And I disagreed on a lot
of stuff. Right. But he's reading the same book that you're reading. Yeah. Right. Yeah.
So that concept in of itself, I'm just like, obviously you have a different lens. You have a different
perspective. You've lived a different life. You've learned different things than that person.
Both reading the same book coming to different conclusions on like what, you know, probably
agreeing on something, is disagreeing on a lot of things like you had mentioned. But like you're both
reading the same book coming to these different conclusions saying this is what it means.
And I think that's my issue with religion is like, especially with the internet culture,
it's like you have a bunch of people, you're one of them. And I'm not at all saying what you do
is bad at all. But like I was watching a lot of stuff. And I like it, genuinely. But I still see
different people doing it, different people saying things. They read stuff and they go,
this means this and God wants this. And, you know, if you want to be closer here,
you need faithfulness and all these different things.
But I'm just like, it's still just a bunch of people
knowing what they know and then relating it to what they've read.
And then their perception is this.
And I guess I have such a hard time because I'm like,
at my life, when I was your age,
I had a completely different perception of God, of Jesus,
of what I felt in relationship to it.
And then where I am now, it's another completely.
And just it changed so much.
Not that it was ever right or wrong or it was better than,
or worse now. But there's so much nuance to all these different, like, what it means to be
Christian, what it means to be, like, faithful, what it means to be, you know, giving yourself to God.
Yeah, no, no, no. Like, I think that was kind of like my problem. I was telling you with, like,
the fitness thing, you know, like, you can have, like, 10 different fitness influencers tell you
how to bench press something. Or, like, how to, how to do some, some crazy maneuver in the gym,
and you're like, which one's right? You know, there's going to be a nuance to everything.
but when it comes to like the Kenneth Copeland guy, for example,
like we're disagreeing on something that I believe is major,
like that I would say it's like a major topic and a minor topic.
Almost like I would separate nuances.
And what was that one specifically?
Like what true prosperity is.
So his perspective was that God wants every human being
to be physically healthy and physically wealthy.
And if you're not those things, it's a self-inflicted problem.
and that's just not the case.
Like, what about someone that's born a paraplegic, you know?
Is that a self-inflicted problem?
No, that's not a self-inflicted problem.
Or someone that has a money problem and they're not physically wealthy.
Is that a self-inflicted problem?
Yes, it's a self-inflicted problem,
but they're not physically wealthy because maybe because God doesn't trust them with money.
And so, like, God knows that if he gives them a bunch of money, it'll crush them, you know?
So the way that he reads scripture, I was looking at him and having that conversation going,
I think this is a big deal.
Like this is a big deal to me.
Versus like if you have me and maybe a church down the street,
we disagree on there's like a topic in Christianity called once saved,
always saved.
Like if a person prays a prayer one time,
like are they saved forever or not?
Like to me,
that's like a small topic.
Because in the grand scheme of Christianity,
that doesn't matter.
Versus like telling someone that,
yeah,
if you don't have enough faith in Jesus and you're not physically held
and physically wealthy, that's a self-inflicted problem as your fault. Like, that's, that's a big,
that's a big deal. So I can, I can kind of understand that, but from a dumbed down level,
Jesus is not trying to do mental gymnastics with people. And that's why, like, it's, that's why,
like when I'm, at least when I'm studying the Bible, I'm like, yeah, I'll listen to, like,
some of my favorite leaders and pastors and preachers, but I'm also reading, like, because I'm,
like, I love Jesus and I'm, like, a nerd about it. So, like, I'll read a Bible commentary or, like,
look at a Bible encyclopedia or a dictionary to kind of understand what was going on in the time
because it's written it's written to like ethnically Jewish people so like I I'm not I'm a white
American that grew up in Georgia like I may not understand culturally what was happening in 30 AD
but I can was it written to Jewish people so Jesus was like an ethnic Jew and so when we look at
God like Israel being God's chosen people I don't know why out of every ethnic group on the planet he
chose Israel. I don't know why. Like the Bible's not explicit. Um, so Israel as like a nation is
used and highlighted as an example throughout the narrative of scripture and it's written
primarily to Jews, Jewish people, but it's for believers. Wasn't people who believe the opposite
Judaism. Wasn't it like leaving that? Um, wait, you said what, wait, what's believed in the opposite
of Judaism? Meaning like, wasn't, didn't Jesus break away from that?
that was the whole sort of he like he like fulfilled it he fulfilled it if that makes sense so
everything seen in the old testament jesus lived out in the new testament but he simplifies at all
so an old testament jew would be looking at 613 laws and 10 commandments to be righteous and if you
screwed up one that was a big deal and you had to like a tone for your sins if you just messed up
one instead of like counting the cause and go well i fall like 610 up i'm so like i screwed up 3 it's
fine that's not the case whereas jesus fulfills it so
So, for example, in the New Testament, Jesus says the greatest commandment is loving the Lord
with your whole heart and then loving people.
Right.
So he's not discounting every other law, 612 law.
He's summarizing it all under that one truth.
Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Whereas like an Old Testament Jew would be like looking at each individual law, like a target,
and they were like shooting at it with a bow and arrow.
And Jesus summarizes it all as like, if you love God with your whole heart and you love
people because you love God, you'll naturally obey him, if that makes sense. So he fulfills it
in a way. I see what you're saying. But I remember like when we were talking, you, we were talking
back and forth about like the Bible and the manuscripts and stuff like that. And I actually got like,
I actually do have a real gift for you at my house. I actually did. What's with you and giving you gifts?
I actually do. I gave me shoes. I mean, this was a joke gift. No, I don't know why you would see
white powdered donuts and. Well, that's for you. Yeah. No, I'm never going to eat that.
You should. I'm going to save that, though.
Yeah. You can stay like that for 100 years.
Yeah, put it, put it somewhere in here.
It'll probably be just as good to eat 100 years from now with all the preservatives and stuff on it.
No, it's like an old, it's like a, what is it called when you, when you have like a replica.
It's a replica. It's a replica papyrus manuscript from the Bible from like 30 AD.
So it's like a book kind of thing.
No, it's like in a glass case.
and it's like a piece of papyrus.
It's a replica of the actual.
Yeah, of an actual manuscript.
Yeah, I've got that for you.
Yeah, yeah.
And so it's, and it's got like a little plaque of like the age range of the replica and stuff like that.
Because I got, I remember us talking about that.
And so I got one for you.
You know, I saw you do this.
And I guess it goes back to my first question.
I saw you do an interview with like the, some like KKK leader.
Yeah.
That went pretty viral.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And like, obviously.
I would say probably majority of people don't agree with that guy.
Oh, for sure.
Right.
But that's another example of a dude who read the book and goes,
this is for me in this way.
And I'm just like, okay, but you and I both know that guy's freaking crazy, dude.
It's insane.
But like it's still an example of a human going,
this is what I believe when I read it.
Dude, and that goes to show you that people still don't want to submit to Jesus
and they want to figure out how to live it their own way.
For themselves.
Yes.
That goes to show you.
Because like someone that only wants money, let me figure out how to make this book fit my narrative for what it looks like to be physically healthy and physically wealthy.
Or let me figure out how to fix this narrative so that I feel like white people are superior.
Yeah.
That's my biggest beef of religion.
All religions.
Well, dude, but that's not like God's fault.
That's just human's fault.
No, I don't think that's God's.
Yeah, yeah.
By no means I think that has to do with God.
I think that has to do with our interpretation of it.
But that's like my issue with it in a nutshell is like all these.
things and I mentioned it on your podcast as well.
We do these things in the name of this or you know, we believe we should have this because
we're these certain people or it's just like that's what makes me go like this is bullshit.
Bro.
Well, but yeah, not God, not Jesus.
Not like not like the actual like creation of it, but I don't know.
But you know what would also be the contrary?
That would be like me looking at like Muslims and be like, well, I don't feel like becoming a
Muslim because there's a lot of terrorists out there.
You know what I mean?
That's such a poor like that.
Do you see what I'm saying?
like that's such a poor reason for me to be like,
I'm not going to become a Muslim.
Like I would say I'm not going to become a Muslim
because I disagree with these things about the religion
and I don't think it lines up here.
It would be such a poor reason for me to be like,
there's a lot of terrorists out there,
so I'm not going to become a Muslim.
The same way it's like,
well, there's like a lot of people that manipulate the Bible,
so that's my biggest problem with like becoming a Christian.
Does that kind of make sense?
No.
No.
What?
Because you gave me an example of something like completely separate.
Like someone saying,
I'm not going to do something because of literally the same thing I'm talking about,
which is like humans, actions or reactions, like a terrorist in this sense, right?
Yeah.
A human deciding to do a thing.
That's exactly my point in relationship to the whole conversation is like,
you got humans reading something that is godly or God given or God created or God transcribed,
however we're describing this, given to us in a way,
that then we're just deciding what it is and what it isn't.
versus like, you know, if we're conflating, like, terrorists and Muslims like this,
we're still talking about humans deciding to do human things.
I'm just talking about a human reading something that is, we're deeming as godly or
God-given, and then just deciding what they want to do with it.
Yeah, no, like, yeah, that's the exact point I'm making is like, that would be a poor reason
to reject Christianity.
The same way, it's like, that would be a poor reason for me to reject Islam.
If I was like, well, a bunch of people, you know, blow themselves up for this religion.
So I'm not going to do that.
And it's like, well, that would be a poor reason to say I'm not going to be a Muslim.
Like I would actually need legitimate reason to be like, well, that's not for me or I disagree with it versus like that being the only thing.
Because then that, yeah, you're basing it off of human reaction.
And people are going to do tons of stuff, you know, like imagine if someone came to you and was like, yeah, like to be honest, like, I don't think I'm going to start working out.
because too many people abuse steroids in the fitness world.
You know, then we'd be like, well, that's such a dumb reason to not go work out.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like that's like so silly.
It's like that has nothing to do with them working out, you know?
That has everything to do with other people.
And it's like, okay, some people use steroids.
Some people don't use steroids.
Like, you make up your mind.
Like, oh, you make your decision, you know?
It's like, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go to the gym because people use steroids, you know?
Well, yeah, because you're still your own personal relationship to it.
is irrelevant to what other people are doing.
Yeah, so, like, I think the same thing.
And, like, dude, like, I have the same problem that you have with those people.
Like, I have that same problem, too.
So it's not like you're alone in that problem with, like,
the perception of money and health on the scripture or the way that the KKK guy views it
or the way I have a problem with that, too.
That's why I had those conversations with those people.
So you wouldn't be alone in that either.
But also, like, we had those conversations with those people because
when you hear their ideology out loud, it's just like laughable.
You know what I mean?
Like you hear it out loud and you're just like,
that is actually so silly.
Well, yeah, trying to like justify why this is only for white people versus all people.
And you're like directly,
you're directly reading some part of the scripture that says like for all nations,
all people.
Yeah.
Or like we just had a conversation like two days ago with a gay pastor,
like from a gay church.
and I asked the lady what a woman was,
and it's been two days,
I still don't know what her definition of a woman is.
You know what I mean?
It's like how,
I just like don't understand how we think it got there.
That specific thing.
Brain rot and just trying to like,
trying to make everything okay for everyone.
Because now when you believe the truth,
you become a blank phob.
Yeah.
That's what,
that's what it's become because people are pushing society.
norms or like societal acceptances as the as the truth you know what I mean and that's like why
people are becoming okay with it and now it's it's it's like it's slowly society is slowly growing to a
point where like the more and more you stand up for truth yeah it's like you become this you become
that you get labeled this you get labeled that and it's like well is that the case or what are we what are we
doing here and and then they don't have like sustainable reasons for something you know like we
talking to this lady for 45 minutes and still don't know her answers to a lot of the questions
that I ask.
You know?
Yeah.
Like she brought up HIV and AIDS, for example, like in the gay community.
I was talking about how like they'll pass out safe stuff so that if people are going to do it,
they're going to do it and to prevent it.
And I was like, or they can just stop having gay sex and it'll prevent AIDS.
You know what I mean?
Like it's just like we can either like, you can either enable it or we can like cut it out and
we'll eliminate the problem faster by cutting it out because God's trying to protect people's
physical well-being and that's not how God made bodies. God made a man and a female to go together.
He didn't make two men to go together. He didn't make two women to go together. Why did he do that? I don't
know. I don't know why I did that. But he made things the way that he did. And it's like,
you know, we just got to believe that. Well, the core, I mean, the core of his procreation.
Yeah, yeah, for sure. Like procreation and yeah, because I mean, the body parts function a certain way
on purpose. Yeah, I see you talk to the, I saw you went, did the whole, like, gay thing
pause the other day, but it's like, what, what are their, most of their reactions are just like,
well, I was born this way. Look, I mean, I've never been hardwired to like the same sex. Like,
I've never been attracted to a man. So, like, if someone tells me that they have attractions,
like if another dude told me that they're attracted to guys, like, I can't relate. You know what I mean?
I believe that we're born into sin. So, and that can be a plethora of different things, right? And so for
people that struggle with homosexuality, like they are attracted to the same sex. Now, the question is,
like, what are you going to do with the attraction? Because the sin, the sin part according to
scripture is not in someone being attracted to the same sex, right? Like, okay, I'm attracted
to the opposite sex. That's why I married a woman. And because I'm in a marriage, I have to use
self-control to not act on attraction on other people, but my wife. So for the person that's like,
well, I'm attracted to the same sex. It's like, okay, well, you use self-control on your attractions
on the same sex and just don't, don't act it out, you know? Because there's dangers to,
even, I was with Adam tweet two yesterday and he asked me the same thing, like, what's wrong with
two consenting adults that love the same sex? What's wrong with that? And there's a ton of things
wrong with it. It's not natural. You're going to get diseases. I think it's a poor example to set
to people. I don't think it's a family dynamic. You can't have kids. And also, like, if you've got two dudes
marrying each other and they want to be intimate 20 years from now, they're not going to be
able to hold in their poop. Literally. Like literally, I'm not even kidding. It's a legitimate
scientific thing. They can't hold their bowels. It's like... It's like...
Incontinence or something like that? You said what? Incontinence. Is that what it's called?
I think so. Yeah. So if that's what's called... Pull it up.
No, no, do not pull that up. Yeah, don't pull up in... Just type incontinence, incontinence,
in continents so that we can see
Yeah, we don't want to see a picture
We just want to
Yeah
Involuntary loss of bladder
Yeah
Why did I know that?
Yeah, well did you
Well I know a lot of random things
That's a little suss
That is a very sucks
So we need to
We need to
No I just
It is actually strange
Why I knew that
Well
I'm just gonna act like
You didn't know what it was
Okay, so we're
We're not gonna cut this out
Incontinance is a problem
It's a problem
It's like what, you know, what's going?
And that's how diseases get contracted, you know?
And like HIV is prominent in like hetero-
like HIV can happen in a heterosexual relationship too.
Yeah.
But it is like significantly.
But I think that's just because it's just a bunch of dudes having sex and they're way hornier.
Like with what?
Like the AIDS thing?
Yeah, like, of course they're going to spread any disease.
I'm assuming SCD's total is probably higher in that group as well.
Yeah, like sexual transmitted disease just period.
And but it must, but like that just, I don't know if that's necessarily because they're gay,
just more so because they're dudes with a bunch of testosterone and they don't give a,
well, yeah, it's probably a combination of both, you know, and like, and like, that's a problem.
Like, what are we doing?
You know what I mean?
Like, and we're going to, and then at the pride parades, they got like kids running around.
Well, that's, that's weird.
That's weird.
That's weird.
Look, look, I, of course I disagree, but if you're 18 years or older, you know, I respect your
decision to make that.
but if you're pushing this on kids,
I have a really big problem with that
because you're in formational years.
Like dude, there was,
and he might be able to look it up.
There was a nonverbal
kid or nonverbal person
who got a transition,
a gender transition surgery,
but they're nonverbal.
So think about this.
Their caretakers signed off on it.
Because they can't speak.
Yeah, but how would they even know
they wanted it in the first place?
I don't know, maybe they read.
I'm not trying to defend this because I think it's...
No, no, no.
I don't think you're defending it either.
It was on,
I saw it on the news.
Maybe they read it on a paper and then it was like, yeah.
Yeah, I saw it on the news.
Dude, it was insane.
It was like this kid and in the video like the people were like, I can't remember
if people were having a problem with it, but the caretaker was like pro-LGBQ and I saw
something about it on the news.
And it just like broke my heart because you got you got people that can't talk for
themselves or children that are being like it.
He says gender transistors and not performed on young children or nonverbal kids.
Bro, bro.
It happened.
It happened. I wish we could pull up the video.
I'll have to find it on my phone. I'll send it to you.
Yeah, yeah.
Dude, it was insane.
And it just blew my mind.
I'm like, what are we doing?
So there's like a, and I, because I, it's just because I think it's a danger to society.
Yeah, I mean, it's, it just seems like at some point it's like just people around who are like wanting it for them more than they, they even want it for themselves.
Yeah.
But that's why, like, that's a big reason why, like, we're, I'm trying to like step up and like be a lot more vocal.
about specific stuff because I feel like...
Which specific things?
Well, we do a lot of stuff during Pride Month in general.
So, like, I like talking to LGBTQ community.
Plus, like...
You like talking to gay dudes.
And gay women as well.
So I had to clarify.
I was just going.
Had to clarify.
You know, but also it's because sometimes Christians treat people in the gay community
as if they're of lesser moral value.
And I think that's wrong.
That's, like, completely wrong.
So, like, I try to bring, like, a balance.
So like that, I'm trying to speak up on that.
I don't know a lot about politics.
Like, I can't talk about politics.
Oh, man, politics are insane, bro.
I almost went off on a whole political thing earlier when you started talking about Israel
and the Bible.
But I was like, I don't want to do this right now.
I just want to talk about like God and my journey with it.
Yeah, sure.
Yeah, I mean, I'm also like after this, I have another podcast and I'm going to be talking
about that for probably two hours.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
Wait, who are you talking about it with?
Hamza. He's a guy who like,
he like, we'll go on Omega
and talk to like random
people from like Israel
and they'll give him. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah.
I mean like I. And he's
Palestinian so he, you know. I mean like
I could give you like my opinion on it.
What is your opinion on all that? Okay.
So what's your opinion specifically on the
Bible thing? The whole like. Yeah. That's where I'm
going to go because like I think this is important. So
for like any
if you see a Christian
online that is like
like blindly support Israel and everything that they do, it kind of stems from this theological
perspective of the end times. So like I'm going to give you the big label for it. It's called
pre-dispensationalism, pre-tribulation dispensationalism. That's the fancy term for it. Basically,
their view of the end times is that God is going to establish the literal nation of Israel
in the end times. That is like a perspective. Because when you read the book of Revelation, that's
one book that's like really dicey in the air because it's it's apocalyptic literature when you read it
so there's some things that you can understand but for the most part it's like very it's an interesting
read so when you see christians doing it like that's like the frustrating part when people online and
they're like oh my gosh these people are getting paid by like apac and Israel and stuff like that like
could that happen like i'm not going to say it can't happen but like a lot of these people are
getting this theological idea because it's like they believe that from like a theological perspective
and that idea was put into the first ever study Bible that was ever made called the Schofield
Study Bible. So Schofield had this idea, like that was his perspective of the end time. So he
wrote it in the margins of like this is what this stuff means. And so like a lot of older people
believe that about Israel and with the conflict going on right now. So like that allows like me just
as like someone from the outside to have like a lot of grace on the situation of going like,
okay, like people just have this perspective.
I don't know like too much about the nuances,
but here's what I'll say.
If my brother, I have a brother,
if my brother went and like shot up a restaurant
and he got arrested and he went on trial,
I love my brother, but what he did was wicked.
What he did was wrong.
And I think that there's wrong happening
on both sides of the stick.
So I think that you're seeing a lot of extremes of both.
it's like you're either like extreme on this in or extreme on the other.
I don't like sin and I don't like injustice.
And when I hear things just on the news, I'm very skeptical.
And so I have to read stuff.
And so I can't like share specifics, but like I know people that are in the underground
churches in the Middle East.
And I see some details that people don't see online.
And it makes me-
Underground Christian churches?
Yeah, like underground Christian churches.
And so my heart hurts for like both sides.
Yeah.
To an extent.
I, again, I don't know like the, I couldn't go like bar for bar in there.
But like to kind of explain why a lot of Christians feel that way about Israel is because they have that theological perspective of.
But when they write in this book, you know, like they'll traditionally, traditionally, like they'll often time cite this whole like, you know, those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will.
be cursed, right? Is it, where is that? That's in Genesis. So it's in the book of Genesis.
I think it's Genesis 25. Right. So the thing about this, when I hear it, and they'll use it in
reference to what's happening today, why would what's happening today with the current government
have to do with what was written thousands of years ago in the Bible? That is how I, I understand
that. So like, why when, so I got to sit down with Tucker Carlson. And we didn't talk a lot about Israel
because I don't know a lot about what's going on.
And I didn't want to get pulled too deep
into some political thing.
But I told him one thing that I respected,
he sat down with Ted Cruz.
And Ted Cruz quoted that verse.
And all Tucker Carlson did was he kept saying,
who is Israel?
Like, who is that?
Right.
And he couldn't define it.
And I just thought that was funny.
Because in my mind, I'm like,
you have to be able to define it.
And I think that's where I land is like,
is that Israel that israel that it's talking about in Genesis,
the same Israel today?
no I mean that when did they just get declared a nation again like 1946 yeah 48 or yeah 48 it's like okay so obviously the new border and walls and everything going on over there is definitely not the same as it was back in genesis and the legislative structure and the government structure over there and so that's where like I like get concerned on like just label slapping that verse on it is it's like okay Christians don't blindly support sin okay so like if someone like I can't just
blindly support. That would be like me as a Christian looking at like any president to come in
office and be like, yeah, as long as they claim to be Christian, I support everything that they do.
Right. Like that would be so silly of me to do and not like sit there and criticize it.
Criticize things that I disagree with or go, why did that happen or why did this happen?
You know, like that would be silly of me to do. And I think a lot of people do that with either
or whether they like support Israel or the other side. Like they do the same. And a lot of it can do
with like ethnic heritage. A lot of it can do with like your religious perspective. But like I think
definitely people should do a little bit more. And that is exactly my beef religion. Is what? What you just
described? The ethnic heritage thing. The whole thing. The perspective, the side that you're sort of like,
you know, I don't want to say pandering to or the side that you're agreeing with or not agreeing
with the side that you want to have the benefit or not have the benefit. You see how it's like when
they speak about it for them, it's in sort of interest that they want to do well.
versus the other side.
And that's how I feel like, I guess my relationship to religion is,
when I view it that way, it's just always been used as like,
not always, because I do think there's a lot of good.
And I think you're probably one of the few people that I've met that, like,
you're very biased to an extent, but unbiased, like, overall.
And, but I feel like when most people, I guess maybe because I've been so like
inundated with, like, political shit that I'm just like,
dude this is so much just use of god in the name of this like this i don't want to get so into
like details or politics but like the pete head seth guy like talking about god in relationship
to going to war it's like bro what the f you talking about like how are we justifying the killing
of anyone in the name of god it just never it doesn't make sense to me yeah i i i've never i've never
seen that video so i don't know like what exactly the context is of it but that's going to happen on
either side of the stick you know like on the content you know like on the con
contrary, like, Palestinian people, you know, like, they're going to justify it underneath, like,
their religious, uh, their religious and ethnic heritage, you know, so like they're going to
justify things under that as well. And so, you know, I'm not like sitting here, like defending
one side or the other. No, no, I don't think that at all. Yeah. And like as a Christian, I want to
visit Israel because the Bible comes alive when you go over there. Like it does. That's just where
everything happened in the Bible, like point play period. Like it doesn't matter how you feel about it.
That's just where it all happened. Like you want to go see the stuff. Go see the stuff.
I want to go see the stuff.
But if a nation, period, I don't care where you're located on the global map is doing something wrong,
we shouldn't just sit there and blindly go, well, like, you know, I'm going to support you because
you're doing something no matter what you do.
Like, that's just stupid.
Like, that's stupid.
Like, if my brother shot up a building, it's like, I love my brother.
But, like, I'm not going to support the fact that he just shot up a school.
Like, I'm not going to sit here and go like, well, you know, you don't know what he was going
through that day or whatever.
It's like, that's so silly.
You just got to let it be.
And so, like, you know, I don't know too many details.
So, like, that's just, like, deep as I could go on, like, an Israel-Palestine conflict.
But, like, I've seen both sides do messed up stuff.
Yeah.
And it just, like, hurts my heart.
Yeah.
All right, boys, cooking much for the podcast.

but it always helps to get a different perspective
on the situation that is outside of like your normal circumstances,
meaning the people that are in your circle,
a lot of times we tend to have those conversations
about what's going on in our lives with those people.
And it's not necessarily a bad thing
because speaking about anything is always better than not.
But at the same time, a lot of times you'll get feedback that is a little bit biased
based on that person or based on their information and maybe what you've given them.
And with BetterHelp, it allows you to speak to someone who's completely unbiased in the situation

I'm so curious, how are you so convicted in your beliefs?
Like, I know you said you had that Waffle House moment.
Yeah.
You told me, from my listeners, they don't know, can you say exactly what happened?
Like that night in the Waffle House?
Yeah, because previous to this, for those who don't know, at least from what you told me, you had been considering suicide.
Yeah.
How long were you thinking about that?
I had thought about it, like...
And this is when you're like 19?
No, I was 17.
17. Yeah, I'm 17. I'm not that old.
Bro, your youngest.
By the way.
Well, you know, I'm trying to look older.
Like, I tried to grow facial hair out.
It's like I let it grow a little bit.
Yeah, I cannot tell.
I look, I look creepy, bro.
Like, I look like I shouldn't go near.
Oh, you just got like a stash, huh?
Like, I can grow it here, you know, and it's blonde.
So I, like, look weird, you know?
Why do you want to look older?
Well, I really just want a beard.
Yeah.
Like, that's all I want, you know.
Maybe take some testosterone.
Yeah, yeah.
You got any extra that you used to cook up back of the day?
I do have some.
Yeah, yeah, let's pop the needle and I'll maybe grow some facial hair faster.
Wait, can I drink this?
Yeah, we'll get you a cold one.
I have a cold one.
Do you really?
I've been wanting to try it.
You grab both flavors.
But yeah, so like I had been thinking about it.
I didn't think about it like two weeks leading up to it going like, this is the day.
I'm going to do it.
I would just like think about it periodically.
Why?
Well, because of the depressive.
and anxiety. And it was only because it's like I told you I never did drugs or alcohol before,
but I had a porn addiction and I had a problem with people pleasing. And then I had a problem of like
making bad decisions with girls. And so I would like those things weren't working for me. So when
they wouldn't work, it would go, well, the only way to get the pain to go away is to just take my life.
And like I can end the pain. Does that make sense? So it's like, oh, this stuff isn't going. But I kept
turning back to it all because it just was there and it felt familiar. So then I would like maybe
convince myself, well, maybe it'll work this time. And it didn't. So then every now and then I go,
maybe I should just take my life. What was what was giving you anxiety and depression?
Well, so in the eighth grade, my granddad died of pancreatic cancer. But when he got it in the hospital,
my family, because I went to private Christian school, was telling me I should go tell him about Jesus.
And I didn't really care about Jesus. And so I just didn't go to the hospital. And he passed away in the
hospital. And so I blamed God for killing my grandfather, but I carried a bunch of guilt with me.
Thank you so much. Dude, let's go. Do I need to like shake it up or give it like a little twirl?
Yeah. It's a little twirl. Yeah, it's perfect. Okay, cool, cool. Dude, this is, thank you. I'm just going to
crack this up in what we're talking about like my depression and anxiety right now. Protein. It's how you
cure it. That is. I heard that's how I cured it. And then I got it. It smells great. 160 calories. That's not
bad. Dude, that's actually really good.
I'm not even lying. It's actually great.
Dude, it kind of tastes like
ice cream. It is really smooth.
Yeah. Dang, I like this.
Yeah, that's addicting. It's addicting.
It is addicting. Yeah, I feel
the same way about praise
energy and hydration as well. I know.
I told you about that on your pot. I feel bad.
No, you don't have to troll me because when you try it,
you'll be like, I wish I didn't make fun of it, you know.
You got to send me some.
You all send you so much, our shaker bottle and everything.
It's the prayers and stuff.
Yeah, and you can, you can,
you could submit a prayer request and we'll pray not performative at all right not performative i love
troll i'm trolling you you're awesome you're actually cool but i swear thank you i'm totally trolling i know
you're so so so so i want to but i want to get into this like you you were sad because of because of
how you reacted to that situation so well i was sad well partially that's not everything but i
blamed myself because like even though i didn't really believe in jesus like i grew up christian
it's like i knew i had heaven and hell and i was like oh well he didn't know jesus so he's
in hell and it's my fault because my parents wanted me to go talk to him about.
Jeez, because he wasn't a Christian.
So I carried that shame with me for years.
On top of that, feeling guilty for like turning into sin, watching porn again or hooking
up with someone or like acting out a certain way to try to get a friend and then be like,
why did I do that?
I would get upset that.
And then I had stuff happening at home that I don't talk about public that just the
combination of everything was was hard and so that's kind of like the years of all of that just
dealing with it consecutively every day just let me do we're like I'm just going to take my life and
end it all so then that that got me to Christmas we had a weird Christmas that day it wasn't like
you know everyone's like laughing and happy all day like we had a normal morning but then like
things were just weird that day and stuff was happening at home and so I was just like
all right today's the day I'm going to do it
So then I was like, I'm going to go get one more meal and go by myself.
And then I'll come home and take my life.
So I went to Woff House.
This was the only thing open on Christmas.
And then I went to have my meal.
And basically how I was going to do it was I used to my grandfather, not the one that
passed away, but my mom's dad.
He used to like collect knives.
So he gave me like knives, like when I was like little growing up sometimes.
and there was this one knife
that I just had on my knife
my nightstand. It's called a Hawksbill knife.
So it's like really thick on the end.
It kind of looks like an Eagles beak.
This is easy to cut open.
You could pull up a picture of it.
Hawksbill?
Yeah, Hawksbill.
H-A-W-K.
I wonder if YouTube is going to be so mad
we're talking about this right now.
Because sometimes they get weird about when you talk about.
Oh, I've talked about this before online
on like podcasts and stuff.
It looks more like
yeah, more like that second one on Amher.
It looked exactly like that, but it was green on the handle.
And it didn't have a design on the metal.
Okay.
So you see like it's kind of like thick at the end and it's easy to open stuff with.
So that was the only thing I had in my nice sand.
So I was going to use that, which is intense if you think about it.
Yeah.
I was just going to cut myself.
Oh, like here.
Yeah.
Okay.
Just to give context.
Please for YouTube's sake, we're not endorsing anyone do this.
This is not a good idea.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
It's just for conversation to understand.
So when I was at Waffle House, I couldn't get a seat because it was slam packed.
I couldn't get a seat.
And I was there by myself and they kept sitting like the families or like the pairs of two.
And I couldn't get a table by myself.
So then this guy walked in who was in his like early mid 30s by himself.
And so I asked him if he would be like my party of two so that we could sit down faster and I'd pay for his meal.
And he was like, yeah, sure.
So then we sat down and he started dumping all of his life issues on me at the table.
And I'm sitting there thinking like I'm trying to escape my problems one last time.
And then this guy's dumping his life issues on me in the Wopla house.
And he's like complaining about his wife and she's divorcing him and taking his kids.
And it's their last Christmas together.
And he's down bad too.
And I just like kind of was like not really paying much attention.
But then he said, I love my wife, but she doesn't feel the same about me.
and then, which is really sad if you think about it.
And then he said, there's no growth in a relationship if the love isn't mutual.
And when he said that, it was just kind of like all of time stopped.
And the way I can kind of describe it was like a film reel, just of life and Bible verses I had learned and things about Jesus I had heard growing up in church and school were kind of like flashing in my brain.
And the way, I just describe it as like the, what all the knowledge I had in my brain about.
about Jesus connected to my heart.
And I asked myself to question the first time,
maybe I don't know God loves me
because I haven't given myself a chance to love him back.
Because the biblical narrative would say,
Christ has loved everyone.
So it's on the table.
And so I started crying.
And the guy was like freaking out
because he thought he said something weird
that made me upset.
And then I just put money on the counter and I left.
And then I went into my car
and I just prayed, Jesus,
if you're real, take away my anxiety and depression.
And then I haven't had it since that day.
It's been over five years.
Huh.
So the thing that you're saying is disappear at the anxiety and depression.
How would you describe that?
Well, immediately I had this like relief.
Like it felt like a weight, literally physically felt like a weight came off my chest.
Right after the prayer.
Right after the pain.
Yes.
So like that crippling anxiety and I had disappeared from that day.
I've only had anxiety one time since that day.
It creeped up on me last year.
And I talked about it online.
and I'm honestly really glad I did.
So when I like tell it now,
I tell the crippling anxiety
because I was battling it every day.
I had that moment last year.
But how do you describe?
Like when you,
because like I've had anxiety.
I've had it, man,
maybe for like six years straight
or my mid-20s.
And I,
and the feeling of like being depressed,
but it was largely related to my hormones
like malfunctioning.
Because what I had done in the past
with like testosterone,
thrown and like not getting my blood work, not checking, then just feeling a certain way in relationship
to my hormones. Yeah. So like I think some like when it comes to depression and anxiety, like some
people do have a chemical imbalance in their brain. Like for me, my depression and anxiety was more
about life circumstance the way I viewed myself. Like I hated myself. I hated my personality.
I hated the way that I looked. Like I would look at myself in the mirror and be disappointed.
And then that's why a big reason why I was a people pleaser. This is I hated my personality.
now like being a Christian like I I'm myself I'm myself I love being myself I'm actually grateful that like when
I became Christian it was like God gave me my personality back because I didn't have to be someone I wasn't
before God it was like I'm just who he created me to be and that like empowered me to just like be goofy
and stupid so like I like I'm not someone that like wears nice clothes typically like I went on the news and
Lightning McQueen Crocks and I hate Satan t-shirt. You know what I mean? Like that's me. Not
not wearing like a suit and going on there and like talking proper. That's just not me.
You know? And like things like that and the way I talk and interact, the way I communicate is my
personality. I don't communicate like a professor because I'm not, that's just not who I am.
I'm not a professor. Like I'm, that's just not me. So there were a lot of things that I gained back.
But that depression and anxiety was like more about life self-inflicted circumstance and things like
that. So like, and like, I'll give you a prime example, like two weeks after that night in Waffle House,
like I felt depression creeping up on me again. But my question, I'm going to let you finish,
but when you say depression creeping up on you, what feeling, like what are you talking about
experiencing? Like a feeling of deep sadness and regret and, um, emotion, like an intense,
sad emotion and stuff. But like when I'm saying like the second time, it was creeper,
up on me. It was just like the feeling that you get when you feel depressed. You know what I mean?
But what would make me depressed would be like the way I looked, the way I thought about myself,
my sin, like when I'd watch porn again or hook up with someone, I go, why did I do that? Like,
I knew it wasn't going to work, you know, like that kind of thing. Or if I failed at something,
if I failed a test in school, if I did a bad rep at practice, or if I made a mistake in a game,
or I would get really depressed and sad if like some of my friends hung up.
out without me and then I would start getting in my head like do they not want to hang out with me
or something like that when that wouldn't be the case or I'd get sad when I like wasn't included in a
group when I couldn't fit in with people at school that I was like trying to people pleased to fit
in with and stuff like that so I would get depressed and anxious about that stuff so then when
but those are just like I'm sorry I interrupted those are just like it's like fear of missing out or
it's like your ego like not being a part of something it's the deep root of all of it was
I wanted to be loved so bad.
And there's so much more than I can't talk about online.
I do it on purpose.
And I wish I could because I want to shed light.
And it would bring a lot of clarity to stuff.
But the core root was like I wanted to be loved.
And so I was searching for it everywhere else.
And when I wasn't getting it, it was making me depressed.
It was making me anxious.
It's like a form of escapism.
You know, like people try to escape into drugs and alcohol.
You know, and then when it doesn't work, they might spiral into depression.
or like someone gets laid off from a job and you and I might be like, okay, well, then just go find
another job.
But then like they might get depressed because maybe they actually liked that job and they think that
no one else is going to accept them and they're never going to do anything that they love again
or something like that.
So like my life and circumstances, the thing as I was dealing with was causing the depression
and anxiety in my life.
It's interesting because when I reference like my anxiety always felt physical.
Like I always felt like, you know, I'm like rubbing my head.
I'm feeling like sort of health anxiety around like, I'm,
going to die or something like this, to the point where I'm, like, calling the paramedics,
or I'm, like, going to the ER.
Yeah.
And then my depression, when I felt it, again, I think it was largely because of my hormone
deficiency because of what I had done and not having the right amount of hormones.
Yeah.
It didn't feel like anything.
Like, depression felt like black and white, like gray.
I didn't feel sad.
I didn't feel, I didn't feel angry.
I felt like nothing.
Like, nothing mattered.
Like, it was just this feeling of, not even like that I'm saying.
sad like nothing's working and just like I guess just this total idea that like it just doesn't matter
and I wasn't like happy I wasn't sad I wasn't like it was almost like nothingness that's the best
why I would describe how I felt depression was like this is just if I remember driving to the gym
actually once because I was still actively filming content all the time because I feel like I was
in that mode I had to do this but I remember driving to the gym and I was going to go film some
this is back when I first opened my gym in 2017
and thinking like,
if I keep feeling this way,
I'm going to die.
That's how depression.
That's how I would have described depression.
It wasn't like I'm sad.
I'm mad.
My life is this way because my life was great.
By all means,
like I had just opened a gym,
huge on YouTube,
huge on the internet.
But like nothing clicked.
Nothing felt good.
Nothing felt bad.
It just felt like I was just like this.
Yeah.
That's how I would describe it.
So the other things like on autopilot.
it. Yeah, just like nothingness. Like I'm just there. I'm doing things like I'm almost in this like cycle of
just doing things because I have to do them and just have this like no no relationship that I'm like,
I'm not mad that I'm doing it. I'm not happy that I'm doing it. It's just like. Yeah. And I remember
telling myself I was like, if I keep feeling like I might just die like I don't know, not like someone's
going to kill me. Like I was just going to die. Yeah. So when you say the other things it's like it's more of,
it sounds like more of the your relationship to your life circumstances and
upset about them not being a certain way. So I would listen to a lot of sad music too, but not because
I was sad, but because like I like the instruments in sad music. Like if you ever listen to sad
music like the piano, like personified. Yeah. So, uh, but that's no way that's making it better.
No, no, I didn't make it better. I like made it worse. So then, so then two weeks like after I became
a Christian, that's when I felt it creeping on. I was like, oh, I'm listening to sad music. So I just
cut the sad music out and started listening to jazz. I'm a jazz guy now. The jazz is great.
Yeah, dude, it's amazing. When did you get like fully inspired to be like, I want to speak about this.
I want to share this like, because you're doing it at a very young age. I don't think it's very
common. I think it's sort of atypical as far as like, I don't know, we'll call it preaching goes,
but would that, is that what you would classify what you do? Yeah, I would call it preaching. Yeah,
I've been doing it since the day after I got saved, but maybe not on camera. But like December
26 because I was making prank videos before on YouTube. Yeah, I saw some of that. I like lit my neighbor's
lawn on fire and stuff. Yeah. Yeah, that was a that was a time. Dude, there's just like one video
clip of me. I'm like so stupid. There's like a video clip. It's not on the internet, but like I called a
domino's pizza to my house and I like went outside and like told the driver that I was like in a
relationship with my cousin and I needed some advice. Like I don't know what to do. And the guy on
camera literally was like, bro, keep it on the DL. Don't tell your parents.
like keep your phone on the side. I was like, what the heck? Like I'm thinking to myself,
what the heck is this guy doing? Like he might be in a relationship with his cousin. And then he's
telling me what the mistakes he made. And now I need to fix it. Like just stupid stuff like that.
But I went on the next day I like made a YouTube video and I was like, I think I found my
calling. Like I had this encounter with Jesus. I'm going to disappear for a little bit and figure
this out. And then like I'll come back. And then I disappeared for a couple weeks and like read the
Bible a bunch and read this like book called systematic theology. It just had like basic understanding
of like doctrine for Christians in it. Yeah. And then I came back and I would just like I'd prop up my
iPhone and just like teach stuff I was learning in the Bible or like teach stuff I would learn in my
Bible classes at school. Yeah. And then in 2024 we started the podcast and then the like evangelism
vlog channel. You know you talk about this encounter. You know you had this encounter I guess with the guy,
the Waffle House and this realization after.
Do you think that like more people have sort of encounters and they're just not aware of it?
Because I struggle.
I struggle a lot when I think about just God in general and the existence of it all.
And like I believe it.
But it seems like when I talk to you, like you know it.
You feel in your heart, you know it.
And in my heart, when I think about it, I don't know it for certain.
And maybe it's like my skepticism, like I'm just so skeptic about everything.
and that's why I'm constantly curious
and talking to people or trying to understand.
Even before I ever got into the podcast space,
it was always my personality
was just like trying to understand.
And it goes back to my childhood,
which I told you a little bit about.
But you think people get more of these messages
and they're not aware of it?
Like yes and no.
Like people have supernatural experiences like I did,
but I don't want that to like,
I don't want people to think that's the meta.
And then if you don't have an experience like that,
then something's wrong with you.
You know, a lot of people come to faith by being raised Christian.
Some people come to faith by looking into evidence.
But, like, I'm sure of Jesus not because of what happened in Waffle House.
Like, I couldn't ride an emotional high that long.
So, like, I'm just sure of Jesus through evidence of, like, what I believe and the things that I've read.
And not just with the Bible, but the documents and the disciples and the apostles and the fact that they died for the fact that Jesus rose from the dead.
Like, that's a big deal to me.
all the evidence is what drives me deeper into my conviction for thinking that Jesus is the truth.
That's why I feel sure.
But like doubt isn't a bad thing.
Like I have moments of doubt too.
Like I have tons of doubt moments.
And like that happens because we're human.
And even like one of Jesus's disciples, Thomas, they called him doubting Thomas on purpose.
Jesus resurrected in his physical body and the disciples saw Jesus in his physical body resurrected.
and they told Thomas, they were like, yo, Thomas, like, Jesus is alive. And he's like, I'll believe it.
Like, I got to see, see it with my own eyes. I got to put my fingers in the wounds that Jesus had in his body.
And then, like, later that night, Jesus, like, spawned in, like, on Thomas and was like, yo, bro, stick your fingers in my handholds.
Like, so you know it's me. And then he, like, puts it in there and it's like, oh, shoot, you're really back.
Like, he doubted so hard. He had to put his fingers in the wounds that Jesus had to believe.
You know what I mean?
That sounds like me.
That sounds like me.
I need to put my fingers in these holes, bro.
Yeah, just so you know, just so you know.
And like that's and like the reality is it's like sometimes that is the case.
But the beauty of the doubts is like Jesus invites the doubts.
He's like, you know, bring the doubts.
Like bring it on.
There's a famous Christian teacher named Tim Keller and he got pancreatic cancer.
And then he started to doubt Christianity, which was crazy because he's written some of the best material on a Christianity to exist.
Like he's one of the best Christian thinkers.
of like for a time period for me to exist in and then he just was like i've got to research the
resurrection because if jesus really did resurrect from the dead then like i'll be set and he
researched it and he was like without the shadow of a doubt like i believe jesus resurrect from the
dead and he said his faith was stronger than it had ever been his entire life and so i think that's
the question is like when we have doubt or skepticism it's like what do we do with the doubt what do we
do with the skepticism do we just like let it linger and then that may
create even more confusion in our brain because then if we don't deal with the skepticism then we just
ask questions on top of questions on top of more questions that we have or you know do we take those
doubts that we and we run to evidence scripture eyewitnesses what did people say what did the non-christian
historians say about this jesus guy or about the topic i'm thinking of what does the bible say and like
you know we just have to deal with it that way yeah what's your what's because i saw you talking to
You've obviously talked to other people of other religion.
I saw a clip of you talking to someone,
someone who practices like Taoism or something.
Oh, yeah, that was in Australia.
Yeah, and you were kind of talking to him about Jesus,
and he was just basically like,
oh, I don't want to try to conflate these two things,
this religion and your religion.
What do you say to all the other religions that, you know,
there's people in other places in the world
that are so convicted that their religion is actually the one
in regards to the creation of all this versus Christianity.
Yeah, I mean, respectfully, I think they're wrong, you know?
But they think probably you're wrong, right?
Yeah, and like, well, maybe some of them do.
Some of them don't.
Like, some people are very accepting of Christianity.
Like, there's quite a few religions that are like, oh, like as long as you're a good dude, you know, like, that's what's up.
Like, as long as you're a good dude.
And it's like, well, is that really what life's about is just being a good dude?
What does it then mean to be a good dude?
I just think it's fascinating that every religion has a perspective of Jesus, every single religion.
Is he a prophet? Was he just a good dude? Is he God? Did he not exist at all? Everyone has a
perspective of Jesus and Christianity is the only religion that worships him as God. So that's a big
deal. And Jesus, according to the Bible says, I'm the way, the truth and the life. He says, I'm the only way
whereas people want them all to coexist together. And so that's like the big question is
what does that look like? Now, like yeah, if someone grows up in India is the likelihood of them
becoming a Christian more than if they grew up where I'm from in Georgia. Of course not. Like,
if they grew up in Georgia, they would have more of a likelihood of becoming a Christian than in
India. But like, just because I respectfully disagree doesn't mean like I don't love the people.
But I think all religions have a shadow of Jesus, if that makes sense. Like, a lot of religions have
great morality, you know. So, like, they have a shadow of God. Like, we look to God as the ultimate
standard morality and Christianity.
So it's like, okay, they have a shadow of the truth,
but they don't have the fullness of the truth.
And I'm saying out of every religion,
I think that you can find the fullness of truth in Christianity and Jesus.
What are some of the reasons and some of the things why you believe?
So obviously, you know, this is your religion.
It's what you believe?
Like, what are the reasons why?
Or like, besides your own sort of experience,
like, I guess scripturally, why do you believe this is like, this is it?
Well, I would say primarily number one, the works-based issue in every other religion.
Every religion is about how hard you can work to get to heaven.
Build good Dharma, not good to karma.
Allah is going to weigh you're good and you're bad.
So you've got to be a good person.
You've got to do a bunch of good deeds and all these things and all these other religions.
Whereas if we live in a broken world and we all have broken hearts and we're broken people
and we can't fix our broken heart in this broken world, how could we ever work to perfection?
It's impossible.
We release thousands of self-help books every year and somehow we still haven't cracked the code
to self-help.
So it's like, how can we work our way to eternal perfection?
We can't even fix ourselves here.
You know, it's literally impossible.
Whereas Christianity makes perfection meet us where we're at.
He does the workforce instead of us having to work for it.
There's like an analogy saying that every religion is on a different side of a mountain climbing
to the same God on top.
But Christianity is the only religion where the God comes down from the man.
mountain and meets humanity where they're at. So that's a big reason why is the workspace issue.
Number two, who Jesus is according to scripture, the life, the narrative, the consistency,
that he was a man of his word. Even the non-Christian historians, what they have to say about Jesus
and the validity of who he was, his character, the way he walked out his life. I think the life
of Jesus and everything between Christian and non-Christian sources on who he was, that he actually
was a man of his word is very important to me. Because if the guy I'm basing my whole religion on isn't a man
of His Word, then that's not a good religion to base your word on. So the life of Jesus,
the collection of the Bible. I know we talked a little bit about it on our podcast, but like the way
that the Bible was formed and the validity of Scripture and the amount of manuscripts we have
preserving that the same texts that we have today were the same texts that they were using
in that time period is mind blowing to me. And lastly, I think one of the big major points for me
when it comes to Christianity has got to be the trend.
And I know it's such like a complex topic.
I know like I, we believe that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all one God.
And it's like a very complex topic.
But the reason why I love it is because of this idea of like what love is again.
Like I wanted to experience love.
I think every human being is on a quest for love.
Absolutely.
And the purest form of love is to give love and to receive love.
That's the purest form of love.
And so if God is only one person and one being, then he can only receive love. He can't give love.
Because if God has always existed, right, so you have to think of God as a being existing with nothing else, right?
Nothing else created. No angels, no people, nothing to worship them, just God as a being.
For example, in Islam, God is one being one person. And Christianity is one being three persons.
So in Islam, if Allah exists and nothing else exists, because they believe the same as Christian,
we believe that God has always existed.
If that's the case, Allah can only receive love.
He can't give love.
He has no one else to give it to.
So he's not the purest form of love.
He's only got selfish love.
He can only give himself love because he's one person, one being.
But the Christian God, because there's three persons among the triune God, God the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy
God the Holy Spirit. They both give and receive love to each other.
But isn't that one person?
No, no, three persons, one being.
So think of one essence, the one being of who God is, but three persons.
But is this a derivative of the same God?
You said what?
Isn't this a derivative of the same God, three different derivatives?
No. Well, they are God, if that makes sense.
Like God the Father is God. God, the Holy Spirit is God. God, the Son. Jesus is God.
Yeah, it was a God who made, he was like, you know, there's three verse.
versions of me, but isn't that the same thing then?
No, because then that would be called modalism.
That would be like saying like water turns into ice and steam.
Like God doesn't like just like change modes.
He's not like a shape shifter.
They like always have existed since the beginning of time.
Like the Bible would say in 1 John about Jesus, he was in the beginning with God referring
to the Father that they created all things.
It's like we were created not just by God the Father, but by the Son and the Spirit as well.
It's one of the most complicated theological ideas of Christianity,
but the idea that they can all share and give love to each other,
whereas the God of Islam cannot.
Like, that's a big deal to me.
And, like, if you want to add another one in there,
Allah has a ton of different names in Islam.
I'm just using the Islamic God as an example.
But one name that Allah does not have that Yahweh has in Christianity is father.
The God of Christianity is a father.
Like, that is a mind-blowing label to have.
What do you mean that the God that created everything that we should worship and let rule and reign forever is a father and not a dictator?
That's mind-blowing to me. That is a big deal to me.
Those reasons are, like, primarily from like a broad, dumb-down standpoint or, like, reasons that, like, I'm sure of Christianity.
Yeah, I see. You believe in aliens?
I think they could be real. I have some thoughts. I definitely have some thoughts.
like are you talking like green-headed alien that like made a UFO kind of vibe?
I don't know.
So, because like you know what they talk like one of the biggest questions around this
religion thing is like, well, they'll ask people who are super religious such as yourself
like, well, who created God?
Yeah.
And then even even the Muslim would say God has always existed.
So God, God isn't a created being or thing.
He's just always existed.
But like aliens.
Oh, I love talking about some aliens.
Yeah, because I'm just like the universe is so big.
Pull up the UFO files.
Like why right here?
Pull them up.
Yeah.
Why was God like right here?
Just this earth is going to have humans.
I don't know.
But here's the thing I will say.
Okay.
And we're going to get into this in a second because this was a biggest letdown of any file released by the U.S. government.
Yeah.
Or the UFO files.
But if we're talking like E.T. kind of alien or green big head that built, that has like actual intelligence.
Or reptilians, yeah.
So yeah, so let's go like with the intelligent kind of mind first. If like something had
like intelligence is the sign of is like a marker of being made in the image of God. Like so one
reason that we know that we're made in the image of God is like we're a subcreator. Like we can
create things. We have a mark of intelligence. So if those kind of aliens did exist like they would
have to like be submitted to the Lord ultimately. So like that would have to be that case because
they have a sign of mark of intelligence. So like I'm more turned off to that idea. But
aliens as a whole, not necessarily completely turned off to. Why is it that NASA was exploring
the ocean and then they stopped and then now they're trying to leave the planet? Why is that the case?
What did they find under there? Is the invasion coming from the sky or coming from underneath?
No, I know. I know. We don't know. Now, look, these files right here, biggest letdown. I remember
seeing stuff. There were all these pastors blowing smoke online going, oh, we got pulled into a private
meeting with the White House, don't change your perspective on Christianity when the UFO files
get released. Like, no one have shaky faith. Just click on an image. Just click on one. Like,
what is special about this video? Every single image and video, just a thing moving. It's just a dot.
Yeah. That is like the worst ever. Like, that was like a total letdown. Like, I was expecting
to see maybe like an up close blurry picture of a UFO.
That was kind of lit. It was moving pretty fast.
But like who really cares? It's just a dot, you know? It's like, what are we looking at?
Like, these are awful. Yeah, but it's like nothing moves like that that we created.
Well, at least that you know of like, dude, AI has been around for probably like 20 or 30 years. We just didn't know it. You know, so it's like what technology do they have that they're hiding? They're trying to blame on on aliens or what were they trying to like blame shift on this so that we focused on this instead of like that that video that you just clicked on looks like a
3D model of GTA.
Like that doesn't even look real.
You see what I'm saying?
Like, how do we know
that's not like a dust particle
just moving across the camera screen
that they just enhanced and made go?
You know what I mean?
Like, these were a total letdown
for anyone that wanted to know anything about aliens.
And I've always been intrigued about aliens
because I watched this documentary
in the eighth grade called Bob Lazars Area 51.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, great.
That documentary is freaky.
Yeah.
So, like, I have, like, always been fast.
But you don't think, because there's a lot of people that have, like you said, that the pastors were like, don't let it be shaky to your faith.
You don't believe that if they exist, that it's like, oh, now it's religion isn't what it was because aliens are real.
If these files made someone, like, deconstruct from Christianity, then they probably had the most shallow Christian faith of all.
Like, these files are so bad.
So what would it have to been?
Like an alien, like, walk up, be like, hello?
Like, yes, yeah, that would make me go, oh, shoot.
You know, you ever seen that video clip of Joe Rogan like, you know, back it up.
Yeah.
They flipped the table.
Like, that's how I would react if an alien came up and was like, hello, you know?
Like, I would freak out.
Be like, wow, that's insane.
So what if an alien popped up and was like, God isn't real?
I wouldn't believe it.
I'd be like, that is an anti-I.
I just do not believe that.
But because like aliens to me don't like devalue the Christian narrative.
Like the same way.
It's like me looking at the Bible.
Like people are like, dude, does the Bible talk about aliens?
No, it doesn't talk about dinosaurs either.
But like I believe in dinosaurs.
Yeah.
It's like what?
You know, like I, it doesn't bother me.
That's a whole thing too where it's like dinosaurs weren't real because God's real.
Like this whole like they do this whole thing.
Yeah, I thought that's stupid.
There's actually a super cool museum in Kentucky, Kentucky.
Yeah, Kentucky.
And it's like a Noah's art creation museum.
So they literally built to the spec Noah's Ark.
And on the inside it's a museum.
And they have like a whole section of like,
if dinosaurs were real and they put them on the arc, this is how they would make it on the arc.
Like they made like an educated hypothesis. Like if it was real, it's kind of sick.
But you see like where is that thing where they, they said they found like Google,
Noah's Ark. Like they found it somewhere. Oh yeah, yeah. And it was like frozen on a mountain and
people can find. Yeah. I think that I think that I can't remember if that was like ended up being
valid or not. I remember when that came out. It came out when I was in
school. Yeah, 2021. I was a junior. This is just,
there's always so much stuff like this and it just, it's like, does it help? Does it
hurt? Yeah. I mean, dude, there was even like a guy a long time ago in the early 2000s that
claimed he found the Ark of the Covenant and then like, and then the government came in the
next day and took it from the spot. He was going to excavate. And then we were just like,
where are you talking about? Yeah. I guess this is my, my issue with a lot of it is just like
so much human hands and all the all the shit now do you know about the shroud of turin yeah i mean
that's a pretty insane piece of archaeological history yeah you're talking about the trial that was
over that they think this was jesus's burial cloth yeah i mean that that that thing is insane
it's so sick and the evidence for it keeps growing stronger like the amount of lacerations that
they've found basically like that that's like a zoomed in picture of his face you think jesus was
white man? No, I don't
think he was white. Yeah. Because they always
depict him that way. Yeah, but that's like
just an Americanized version of, you know,
and it is what it is. He
was definitely of like a darker skin
complexion for sure, you know.
Dude, imagine if I'm gonna like, yeah, he was totally
white. Like he was like white, like
blue eyes, you know? Just like me.
Yeah, he looked exactly like me, but with like
long brown hair.
Yeah, that'd be crazy.
Do you think, do you think like
that there have been
more versions of
not Jesus specifically,
but like more versions of that voice
that have like come throughout our history.
What do you mean by that?
Like Jesus was obviously like God,
prophet, right?
And to a lot of people,
you know, he holds a sort of God.
Muslims would say he's come back.
I think Jesus is coming back.
I don't think he has come back yet.
When do you think he's coming back?
The Bible says we don't know the day or the hour,
but we will know by the signs.
You think he'll come dapp you up or why?
Well, it doesn't exist.
You know, I think he's got a whole lot more to do first before he daps me up.
I mean, dude, that'd be kind of crazy.
If Jesus out of everyone that was on the face of planet when he arrived,
just like showed up and dapped me up, I'd be like, wow, that's awesome.
I did something cool.
Yeah, I'd be like, I don't know what I did to deserve that, but that's pretty sick.
The end times is pretty intense.
Like, God's going to come and, like, do some damage.
think he's going to be GGs for us or what?
It's going to be GGs for the non-believers.
But it's going to be like a great day for the believer.
What if you were non-believer, but you acted and you sort of did all the things that a,
I guess, quote-unquote, believer would do or supposed to do, but you didn't like formally
acknowledge, oh, this is, this is my God and this is.
So, okay, a couple things.
Yeah, I would say the first thing is, like, for example, Chris, our video guy, he's not a Christian.
But he is one of like the greatest moral people I know.
Talking about the Asian?
Yeah,
are the only video guy we have, Chris?
Well,
I thought he was also there,
but he helped a little bit.
Yeah,
he helps a little bit too.
Dylan does.
But Dylan's a Christian.
Chris Kim is not,
but Chris Kim is like one of the most
greatest moral human beings I know.
Like he's such a trustworthy guy,
always on time,
punctual,
like has great morals and everything.
Like has the morals of a Christian,
but he's not a Christian.
The premise of the Christian faith
is not to be a good person.
It is to love God
and then let your actions be an overflow
for your love of God.
God. So, you know, being a good moral person isn't, like, without acknowledging Jesus as Lord.
Acknowledging putting faith and trust in Jesus Christ is the basis of Christianity. So if you
don't do that, that's a big deal. Now, in regards to, like, I know we mentioned this earlier,
but, like, just setting the nuance, if there's someone deep in an Amazon tribe of 12 people
that have their own language and stuff like that, I don't know how God's going to judge each individual
thing in the universe, but we have to trust that he's going to do it justly because we believe
that God is a righteous, just God. And the Bible says every nation, tribe, and tongue will be
represented in heaven. So that gives me hope for even the Amazon tribe in the forest.
That was like before sort of. Because that's the thing. Like it was like these, I mean, people existed
before all this stuff was written. And, you know, that's okay. But we have historical, you know,
again, historical documents and stuff that like affirm the truth of these messages and stuff like
that. So, you know. You think I'm making it in? Do I think I think I think you're making it in?
Do I question it too much? Once you convert to Christianity, I think you're making it in.
Oh, man. I just, I mean, once you, sorry, once you put your faith in trust in Jesus. I think
you're making it in. I feel like I'm right there. You're, you're almost there. Yeah.
So I just, skepticism in my mind, dude. I think it's because I'm so skeptical of people.
Well, at least you don't have to trust in people. You can trust in Jesus. Yeah, but intangible,
like actionable things every day. I have to like, see, we have. We have. We have. We have. We
have like a different perspective of it because your like biggest criticism is people and then when
i see like a person who claims to be christian act up it just doesn't shock me like if we if a news
headline just hit this tv right now a fresh one just hit the tv saying so-and-so pastor just cheated on
their wife it would not shock me because they're people now i'm not excusing it like that's absolutely
wrong but it just like would not shock me it would break my heart but would not shock me because
are people. So you think you can you can accept it this is my lord and savior but then still just
do the opposite of the things that is also written that you should be doing doing the things you shouldn't
be doing and just because you accepted Jesus as your lord and savor that like you'll still be safe.
Well Paul says Paul right so like now that you've received God's grace does that mean you can go
just do whatever you want? He's like absolutely not that would be abusing God's grace. That'd be like me
punching you in the face and be like dude I'm so sorry and then you're like no that's cool and then
if I just keep punching you in the face and apologizing and keep punching you in the face and
apologizing, at some point you'd be like, Bryce isn't sorry. You know what I mean? So like there's
that aspect of faith, but we have to understand from a Christian perspective that it is not
our good works that get into heaven. The scariest passage of scripture is Matthew chapter 7.
And Jesus says on that day, talking about judgment day, people are going to come to me and say,
Lord, Lord, I prophesied in your name. I cast it out demons in your name.
I did mighty works in your name.
21st century language would be,
I went to church a bunch of times,
and look at how many devotional ones I read,
and look at how many homeless people I helped out,
and look at all these things.
And Jesus is going to say,
depart from me, I never knew you.
Are those things wrong?
No.
Christians should go to church.
They should read their Bible.
They should study.
They should help the homeless.
But he's saying they're putting faith and trust in their works
to get them there,
rather than Jesus himself.
our works are an overflow from our faith.
It's not what gets us there.
We don't build the ladder, the stepstools.
Like our works aren't like a stepstool to get there.
The Bible actually says our works are filthy rags to God.
And the real term is menstrual rags.
So the Bible describes our good works as dirty, bloody rags, like minstrel rags.
Crazy, think about it.
So is it our works that get us there?
No, but our works are an overflow.
So what you can use is like works.
We believe that faith and trust in Jesus Christ
gets someone into heaven.
They receive salvation.
But someone's works are an indicator
of if someone's faith is sincere or insincere,
if that makes sense.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you have only so many mistakes you could make that, it sounds like.
Well, there's a difference between habitual sin
and then just like stumbling and falling.
And then you get nothing going on.
Because like if you look at the Bible, like King David is considered a man after God's own heart.
But he literally slept with another woman and then killed her husband to cover up his mistake.
Yeah, you're telling me this one.
But he's still known as a man after God's own heart.
Because if you read the Psalms, he writes Psalm.
I think it's Psalm 53, I think.
He like gives this like prayer of repentance to God.
Like, oh, shoot, I screwed up.
I'm so sorry.
Like, Lord, please forgive me.
Thank you for your forgiveness.
Like, he repented and moved.
kept going.
And like to repent means to literally,
it literally means to turn.
So like we're running our race,
like what we think is right for our life.
And when we follow Jesus,
we're turning from the way that we think is right
and running towards him instead of running
towards what we think is right.
I got to figure this out, man.
You do.
You know,
and that's why we're hanging out.
That's,
I mean,
I'm not gonna lie.
I've done a lot of podcasts
where I've talked about religion now
for like the last,
for like the last year, right?
I feel like we've been done a lot.
Because like by all means I should in my mind I should be closer
You're very close
I'm just like where's that moment?
Like there may not be a moment
Like it might live the moment might be you making the conscious decision of going
I'm putting my trust in Jesus Christ
I've said that
Well it's not it's not like necessarily just about saying it
It's just like you know you're like okay let's say you did you're like
Okay I'm gonna put my trust in Jesus Christ
Now what now what are you going to do about it
That'd be like me saying I'm going to go
get ripped right now.
So what are you supposed to do about it?
Like you...
Well, you have to build...
Like the same way that we are growing in relationship with each other,
you have to grow in relationship with Jesus, right?
So you need to spend time with them.
And that looks like praying to Jesus, talking to God,
reading your Bible,
because you need to know the love letter God's given you
and what it looks like.
I know you said that you've been reading your Bible a little bit.
You know, read your Bible, pray.
Get around a godly community,
which you'll find that in church.
You know, you need to be around like-minded people
that can challenge you when you go
through something hard, they come around you and help you. When you go through something great,
they celebrate you. You know, you get to learn about Jesus. You have a pastor that's shepherding
people that's teaching and you can worship and get in that environment as well. And then just like
actively make conscious choices to apply and meditate on the things that you're learning through
scripture and the Bible, like to your life. You know, whatever you're reading and learning,
how can you apply it that day? Or the verse of the day on a Bible app, you know, it's like what,
how can I apply that to my life or maybe, you know, try to memorize it so you have it.
Like one of the greatest things that has helped me in my faith journey is like memorizing
scripture. That's changed my life. Yeah, I think I'm just like a scorned individual
because when I was younger, what does that mean? Her hurt like just, just pained over time.
Because when I was younger, it was for, I'd go to church and I, and I would, I remember I'd be in
church and I would hear certain things. I'm like, wow, that I get, I really resonate with that.
And then I think what happened was over time in interactions with people and interactions, business things, I was just like, I keep getting taken advantage of.
And maybe, I mean, it's just a personal thing.
Obviously, I'm not saying this has to do with God, but I don't know.
Yeah, I'd probably say, I mean, I don't know the exact details, but yeah, you might be, you might be choosing wrong people.
Which is like, which like according to the scripture, like, again, and this is why like the Bible is so important, Paul writes about being equally yo.
with people and that's not just equally jacked with people yeah well well equally yoked yeah it's like
jack no yo go google yoke right now bro google look up what is a yoke a wooden farming tool to join
two oxen together so they can pull heavy loads jacked it's everything's talking about being jacked here
bro well it's important this is why yes this is good okay so a yoke was a farming tool and they would put
two equally jacked oxen together if you put a really weak
and a really jacked oxen it wouldn't function, right?
And so the premise is in dating relationships
and friendships and business relationships,
you want to be chasing the same goal,
and that goal would be Jesus.
So imagine if you got into business,
like a 50-50 partnership with someone where you're like,
I'm all about Jesus on this,
and the other person's like, I'm all about money.
So like some,
I was in a business relationship with some Indians who were Sikh,
so there's not the right ones.
That, like you actively are,
you were. I was. And they took advantage of me. Seeks, look, Sikhs can be lovely people. They were
probably the wrong business part. Okay. Now, but it's just, you have to understand. It's like,
what are they chasing the same goal? It would be, are they chasing Jesus? Like, is their
ultimate goal at the end of the day at Jesus. They want Jesus to be known. No, it was money. Definitely
money. Yeah. So then that'd be a big problem. And you would know, like, you'd just know in general,
like, as someone who's like just been successful in general, like, money is just such a bad goal to have.
Like only doing something for money.
That's like bad.
So, you know, equally yoked.
Are you chasing the same goal, which is Jesus?
Who can be practical, smart, but also they care about Jesus the most.
Like, that's a big deal.
So I didn't find another equally Jack Jim bro.
That's why we failed.
Yeah.
Yes.
That's exactly why.
Yeah.
Yep.
Yep.
And maybe they weren't Christian as well also.
But, you know.
Yeah.
So, like, that's what it means.
And that doesn't necessarily mean that you and the person have to have been a Christian
for three years.
or you guys both had to graduate from the same Bible college.
That just means, it's like, are you both chasing Jesus?
Like, is Jesus your number one priority?
What you say, when you mean by chasing Jesus,
you mean like that's sort of your guiding direction?
Yeah, because everything stems from it, right?
It's like me and my wife, we're both individually chasing Jesus.
So now if we go through something hard, what's going to happen?
We have Jesus.
So, like, that's like a big help.
Versus if I were to have made.
buried a non-believer and something got hard.
Instead of thugging it out and being in my corner,
that person might have been like,
I'm done, I'm out of here.
You know what I mean?
Or I'm coping out.
I'm going to go cheat on you.
Or you know what I mean?
It's like, okay, well, their goal wasn't Jesus.
Their goal was satisfaction, pleasure, or whatever.
So you mean Jesus in relationship to like the sort of commandments
or the way that you're supposed to treat people?
Well, just everything that comes underneath the umbrella of Jesus,
following Jesus, the priority, worshiping him,
the morale and standards that come with following Jesus, right?
Because as a Christian, like, I have standards for myself.
Like, I have a moral compass that comes from the scriptures.
So, like, that helps too, you know?
And then, because then, like, if you're in a business relationship,
like, that was like, and I'm not, like, trying to shamelessly plug
parade's energy and hydration.
Go ahead.
I don't care.
But when I was like, I want to make an energy drink, we had gotten on the phone with, like,
five or six different people that weren't Christian, but had done, like, great
stuff in the business. And they were all like, yeah, you shouldn't do it. It's too hard. You should
just make a powder. You should just make a powder. You should just make a powder. And I was like,
well, you guys aren't Christian and you guys don't understand like my, like you guys just don't get it.
And then we met our partner now. His name's Adam. And he's just an incredibly faithful man
of God. Love Jesus. It was meant to be. It was meant to be. So, you know, it's like a
Ray beam shine down on him and like God spoke from the heavens like he is art. Yeah. So Adam loves Jesus
Jesus is faithful. Jesus first above everything wants Jesus to be made known, wants Jesus in retail. And
when we brought up the idea of making it, he was like, yeah, I don't care if it's hard. We're just
going to do it. Yeah. And I'm like, that's the kind of guy. So he had like practical ambition,
but Jesus was his priority. And like I love using him as an example because he genuinely
loves Jesus and cares about us, cares about people, cares about Jesus. And like,
that's such like a good business partner to have you know but like that's and then like with my wife my
wife's a great example like she loves jesus cares about jesus like cares about her soul cares about my soul
doesn't care if something gets harder if we're on a high of life like she loves me regardless like
that is an example of christ's love it's a glimpse of christ's love my friends like these guys love me
no matter where i'm at vice versa i love them no matter where they're at and we're always going
take care of each other and we challenge each other and sharpen each other and we can also joke around
with each other you know and so it's like those are good friends do you think you can be all those ways
without jesus can you be a good more like can someone stop an alcohol addiction without jesus absolutely
and someone stop watching porn without jesus absolutely but what jesus does is he gives us purpose
he gives us strength he gives us drive he gives us things that we can't find just through personal willpower
and I think that's important.
You don't think you can find those things to personal willpower?
Like you can in a sense, right?
Like anyone can quit alcohol, you know, through an AA group or just being like,
like so many people have cold quit smoking cigarettes, have cold quit doing so many things.
And I have a ton of respect for it.
But life is more than just conquering addictions.
Life is more than that.
What is the reason why I'm conquering the addiction?
is it more than just I want to prove myself to my family it's got to be more than just that
is it more than just well i want to be alive a little bit longer for my grandkids come so i'm going
to stop smoking cigarettes it's got to be more than that is it more than just like i want to get my
life around well that's a great reason but why do you want to get your life around because
if there if there is no god that it doesn't matter if you get your life around it doesn't matter
if you smoke cigarettes or not because if there is no god morality is subjective so to you
smoking cigarettes could be good and that's fine.
And then to the person that doesn't think it's fine, that's fine,
but you can't tell each other that one is right or wrong because morality is subjective.
So if there is a God, God then gives purpose, order, design, and all of these things behind it.
And so, like, I don't doubt, I know so many people that have quit things without God and the sinner.
But having Jesus at the center makes it all more worth the while and some.
Yeah.
Damn.
You're very convincing.
You know what we should do?
You're very convincing.
When you're opening the gym and zoo culture.
The one in Miami.
Yeah, the one in my in zoo culture.
Yeah, the one in Miami.
The zoo culture in Miami.
Yes.
When y'all are building the inside, we should put Bibles built into the facility.
How do I do it?
Like, I don't know if y'all are building like pillars to hold up the ceiling or something
or like stuff to separate it or if y'all are going to put drywall up to cover the walls.
Yeah, we're going to be building a bunch.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Y'all should put Bibles.
behind the walls. You don't have to put like a million of them, but you know, like put a Bible.
Like sometimes people put like when they're laying concrete, they put four Bibles in the corners
of the foundation, like just as a symbolism of like, that's what I'm about, you know?
I just, yeah, I saw like, because I was looking at so much of your content.
So then I, it's like immediately, obviously, you know, you get on like the algorithm.
It's like religious stuff.
Yeah, there you go. And I was like, what the fuck?
First of all, I was like, that was quick. They got me fast. Yeah, Jesus wants you.
But then I'm like, then I see this like construction guy who.
He was like putting Bible verses and his whole like construction company is based around, I guess God, essentially.
And immediately maybe it's the pessimist in my mind, but it's like, is it just pandering to an audience that's going to for sure buy this house from you and not someone else just because it's related to God?
Or could it be, wow, I didn't know I could do that with my home.
Or wow, that's another cool way I could dedicate every aspect of my home to the Lord.
Like from the ground to the foundation to the beauty of the home, I want every aspect,
whether it's the design and the creative intelligence or the roots of the house.
I wanted to be dedicated to the Lord.
That's a powerful thing.
Yeah.
I got that pessimistic view of it.
That's why I can be over here to balance you out a little bit, you know?
Yeah, because I've just like, I've just done so much business.
I'm like, I think people just see dollar signs.
They're like, oh, I can leverage this.
Well, there's a, there's a, there's a,
and I was giving you shit about your product.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
But like the in the Bible, a description of love is to hope all things, right?
And like the natural human reaction is to believe the worst in people.
Our brain goes to like the immediate extreme.
So it's not like a horrible thing necessarily that you did.
It's not like you're a bad person.
But that's like a challenging thing in the scriptures.
You go, wow, if I really want to embody the love of Christ, I'm going to believe the best in everyone and everything.
Like that is wild.
I think that's what broke me.
That's exactly what broke me.
Well, that's what I did in so many situations with people, and I believe that because I came
into a situation, I was like, oh, I have good intentions. And my heart is pure in this. And like,
we're all winning here. Of course we would, it would, no one would turn on me. And I've been proven
the opposite of that 9.7, 9.9.9 times out of 10. Well, that, well, that's the nuance.
I was about to add was like, sorry. Jesus loved everyone equally. But he had levels of trust. And I
think that's important. Like, I have levels of trust with people. Like, I'm not going to tell
some random guy on the street what I tell my wife. Like, that doesn't mean I love them less.
Like, it's just I have different level of trust. So, like, in saying that, like, loving and
hoping the best in people doesn't necessarily mean you just, like, let the floodgates open and, like,
trust them with literally everything in your life. You know what I mean? I'm not, like, necessarily,
I'm kind of, like, overgeneralizing. I'm not trying to, like, slap that on you. But, like,
in that case it's like Jesus had the masses and then he had the 72 then he had the 12 disciples then he
had peter james and john that he would do like exclusive stuff with and then you have john the
description they gave him as is the one whom jesus loved right aka like jesus best hurt so he had
levels of trust with people that didn't mean he loved everyone unequally loved everyone equally but had levels
of trust and i think that's big in anything and friendships relationships business and everything
like you're going to have levels of trust.
You wouldn't tell an employee in the prime factory that's packaging these protein drinks,
the information that you'd tell your CEO.
You just wouldn't.
And that's like,
that's just a level of trust because that's like business,
you know,
versus,
you know,
same thing in relationships and stuff like that.
So like I do want to add that nuance in there of like,
yeah,
like yeah,
there's different levels of trust.
People have levels of trust.
And that's okay.
But like hoping the best in people.
is like even people that have done me wrong.
Like my prayers are just like, God, I pray that you bless them.
I bless that you bless their family, their businesses, their endeavors.
Like, believe the best.
I pray that they bless other people with what they do, you know.

Instead of praying on their downfall, it's like the hard posture of Jesus.
It's like I just want the best for them.
What do you plan to do with all of this?
Just more of what you're doing?
Like you want to be like a pastor someday or something like that?
Dude, I don't know. So many people ask me that all the time. I don't know if I would start a church.
Like I just like I don't have that like desire or feel like I have that calling right now.
But what I do want to do is I want to like slowly over the years longer term step more behind.
Like I don't want to be in front of the camera. And I want to train more people to like share their faith.
So like we're going to start going to college campuses on the fall. And we're going to be doing like faith based debates on campus.
And then like we're going to be partnering with ministries.
potentially opening like evangelism things on campus so that students can start sharing their faith
and reach their campuses and stuff like that. So I really just want to train people to reach people
for Jesus. Like I believe that's what God has asked me to do. And that's why like this phase of that
ministry right now is just like us setting the example on the vlogs in the street and then like
having the conversations online. But maybe over time it looks more just like raising up people to do
that so that I can just like, you know, support people and champion.
people.
Yeah.
Well, I think you're awesome, bro.
Oh, dude, I think you're awesome too.
Like genuinely.
I know we gotta go to church one of these days, for real.
Yeah, we can.
We definitely got to.
Yeah, it's like, I don't know,
I feel like I talk to so many people about this stuff.
You just are so,
uh,
I don't know if you're so well read or you're so well, like,
versed in it,
but it's interesting how young you are and how much you can recall.
Oh, thank you.
It's impressive.
Oh, thanks.
I mean, it's a lot.
Because, again, I was watching a bunch of your stuff,
and I was just like,
my,
not reading off anything.
You know, like, no teleprompter.
No, like, you're really, you're really, it's impressive.
It's not a, and that's, that's a skill.
That's a fucking skill, bro.
Oh, dude, thanks.
Because I actually, that actually means a lot because I don't think of myself that way.
So thank you.
That's a massive skill.
Dang, thank you for saying that.
Like, it's not easy to do that.
It's not easy to have that level of energy in relationship to the thing you're speaking of.
And maybe that's because of God.
I don't know.
That's, you definitely have a gift.
Oh, dude.
Thank you for saying that.
So, I mean that genuinely.
I mean, even, I know I gave you shit on your pocket.
you had that little thing that like you had a producer we all talked.
I was so interested in that, by the way, but you barely used it.
But like in general, even just talking to you now, your ability to recall and your ability
to like recount things and talk about things is very impressive.
Oh, dude, thank you for saying that.
That actually means a lot.
And so I hope you continue on.
And it'd be cool if there was some way that I would honestly like to get more involved
in that kind of stuff.
I just don't know.
That's what I'm talking about.
Yeah.
That's what I'm talking about.
I just need to figure out, I don't know.
I just feel like I have this wall.
It's like, and we've talked about it, but it's just there.
And again, I think it is just the, maybe the hurt that I have around just all my life circumstances
and the fear of just like surrendering to it all and allowing it to be without like nitpick everything.
Like, oh, it shouldn't have been this way.
And why is it still that way?
And I don't know.
I struggle with it a lot.
But you, you definitely give me hope.
Oh, dude, thanks for saying that.
That actually means a lot.
Yeah.
I mean, that's just you want to get more involved because you're, you know, Jesus is.
working on you. Maybe that's a sign. Yeah, keep hearing that. I'm like, dude. I'm like figure it out,
bro. He'll figure it out for you. He'll figure it out for it. Like, dude, when? Jesus.
Oh, excuse me. I'll tell you when. I'll tell you when. I'll tell you.
I stop swearing or what? Well, you know, maybe that might happen, you know, and that'll be, that'll be
amazing, you know? Yeah. But I, you know, maybe it starts like you, you know, maybe like tonight,
you're praying and you just go, I pray. I do that.
But I mean, maybe it looks like this.
It's like Jesus, I honestly do have a hard time trusting people in general to tell me what to do.
And so, like, would you give me strength and wisdom to hear what you want me to do, to give me peace to move on decisions?
And God, would you help be the shepherd in my life?
Because that's like Psalm 23, the Lord is our shepherd, I shall not want.
We need nothing when we have him.
And it says, he leads us besides still waters and green pastures, he restores our soul.
And then it says, even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
Even when we go through the hardest moments of life, we fear nothing because he is with us.
Like, that is powerful.
So that's what, that might be what it looks like.
It's just that might be a consistent, honest prayer you have soon and as of lately maybe now.
It's just like, God, I have a hard time trusting people.
Like, teach me to lean on you.
Teach me to trust you.
Teach me to like actually act on the decisions you tell me to make, you know?
Yeah.
Who's your favorite person you've interviewed?
My favorite person I've interviewed
Dude we just did Nikki Minaj
She was really fun
I actually
I love Nikki
She said I'm a barb now
Yeah I love Nicky
Why why was it
Why did you enjoy that one?
She was just awesome
Like she was fun
She was fun to be with
I was actually grateful
She was wanting to come on our pod
And yeah
I just like her personality
Like she was really fun
And she was very well spoken
Yeah.
Which I, you know, that's always a, you know, you podcast, it's a gamble.
Like if you have someone on it, you've never like interviewed before or they like don't do a lot of podcasts.
You don't know like how they're going to do speaking.
She was extremely well spoken.
Yeah.
And I really admired that.
I also had fun with Tristan Tate.
He was fun to talk to.
Yeah.
Those guys are dope.
Yeah.
He was, he was really awesome and fun to talk to.
So I liked him.
Besides God, who's your ideal guest?
besides Diddy?
Really?
Yeah, I want to interview Diddy so bad.
I got so many questions.
Like, what's up with the baby oil?
Like, we need to bring some accountability here.
Like, I got tons of questions I want to interview Diddy so bad.
Why the country?
I just, why, dude.
I got to go in because that was some wicked stuff that went on and someone's got to interview him.
And I'm always going to give someone like a fair chance to like talk and share their points.
So like, I definitely.
But, you know, I got a lot of questions.
Yeah, he got, I think he got his trial pushed so he can like try to get out sooner.
So maybe that'll happen.
So I would love to do that.
Well, I hope you do it.
I would definitely watch that one.
Thank you.
And yay.
I want to interview yet.
Oh, that'd be amazing.
Especially on this topic.
Yeah.
That'd be incredible.
I want to interview, yeah.
I think those are like some, some dream interviews.
Cool.
Well, I appreciate your time, man.
Dude, thank you.
You're a good dude.
You got a good heart.
Hey, thank you for saying.
That actually means a lot.
Like on and off camera.
