Well, brother, I appreciate you taking a time.
Where are you right now?
I'm back home in Seattle, Washington.
So I literally got done with the fight and went straight to the airport and just flew 15 hours home.
How long were you in Dubai?
I got there December the 1st, so spent a couple weeks there and just,
finished like trimming down, getting onto weight, and kind of just exploring it a little bit
just to the time zone.
Yeah.
Did you interact with Tate before the fight?
Like, were you guys spending time together?
Yeah, you know, I got to run into him a handful of times, you know, even before the fight
back over the summer, I met him.
He was, you know, he was cool.
Stand-up guy, didn't really talk a whole lot about fighting.
Obviously, he didn't want to do any sparring or any, you know, sort of fight type of stuff
because we both knew that this was in the works.
But, yeah, I got to see him quite a bit, you know,
throughout my whole time in Dubai.
Wait, so this was in the works for how long?
Because didn't you, you talked to me?
I mean, I don't know how many months ago,
but you were supposed to fight someone else.
I forgot who it was.
Yeah, I have.
There's somebody, like, the fight name is crazy
because you'll get big fights and then people will bow out of it.
So, you know, at some point there was like a Tommy Fury fight.
And, you know, there's,
people are getting thrown across the board all the time.
obviously this one came
July. They gave me an opportunity
and said, hey, we're going to give you
at first it was either Deonté Wilder
or Derek Chisora. I was like, okay.
Like, can I get an
influencer for once? Like,
and then he calls me back. He goes,
well, there's one other guy that has inquired
about you, but we don't know. We don't want to
tell you because you might get too excited. It might happen.
I was like, I will. You can just tell
me I won't get too gas about it. He goes, okay, well,
Andrew Tate has called.
He was interested in fighting me.
Because I was wondering how that whole thing started.
It was like there was, you know, I don't know how real it was.
It seemed like this joke where like Andrew took over misfits.
I'm assuming that's not real.
Or did they give him equity in it or something?
Yeah.
So I think what had happened was he got like a deal basically where it was like they paid him like $50 million in cash.
And then he got $50 million in equity in the company.
So I think he got 10% of the company.
Yeah.
So he got $100 million to do that fight.
So fair play to him, but, yeah, no, he, yeah, he got paid.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, that fight, wait, he made $50 million like cash.
Yeah, dude.
Yeah, he got $100 million for that fight.
Yeah, he came up.
He was talking all about it.
He made money.
Holy shit.
I guess it's like at that point, it's like, even if you have a bunch of money, you can't even
even say no to that.
It's like, why not?
Yeah, that's the thing.
It's like, you have to look at who energetic it is.
It's like men really didn't have to get into the ring.
You know what I mean?
Like, he could fight anybody in the world.
He's got a brand.
He's got a successful company.
He's got, you know, controversy.
He's got clout.
Like, why get in the ring?
And somebody comes and says, hey, we're doing $100 million to fight.
You know, I give the guy credit because he could have picked some random dude that, you know,
sells ice cream up the street.
But he's like, if I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it all the way.
So fair play.
Yeah, no, respect.
So how long have you been, how long had you transitioned into boxing?
because I know obviously you did the Love Island stuff time ago
and you're just doing like influencer sort of podcast stuff
and then you got I remember you were a little bit more overweight
then you got I saw you once in it you were like in crazy shape
yeah and so yeah bro it was how'd you transition
yeah bro um it's just like part of the journey
because I think what I was doing like reality TV at the beginning
I started with two out the handle I was coming off with like college
and you know I have a lot of money for diet nutrition
should not really know all the thing.
I was a chunky kid.
Yeah.
And I was just living the influence of life, you know, back in like 2020,
2020, 2021, they were just giving us, you know, comp meals everywhere,
making all this, you know, money off of whatever.
And then I started training at dog, dog pound, I think it's called,
was that old gym in Beverly Hills, yeah.
And Austin McBroom was in there one day.
He's just like, hey, bro, would you want to come fight on social gloves?
I was like, yeah, love to come, you know, try it out, whatever.
gave me a fight against Corey Warren
and then PSI and Mams Taylor
reached out to me and they were like
yeah we're starting this promotion
we'd love to have you on
we'd love to sign you and then they end up
signing me to come fight
for misfits just because they just
thought that they could market around me
and I was just like you know
we'll send for it and so I started
training full time and
and obviously you fix your diet
and get around you know good coaches
nutritionists and yeah started shedding
the weight and then just got shredded
is that your is it kind of your normal
weight now? Is it still a fight weight?
No, it's my normal
way. I really don't even understand
how, I guess
I get a lot of credit to just being
younger and you have like chubby weight
on you from being a kid. But, you know, to be honest
with you, I sit around
220, 225,
223, if I'm heavier, but
no more or less than that normally.
And I think the most
I got up to post the show
is like 275.
I was like, okay, I need to go on a diet.
Holy shit.
Yeah, because I remember meeting that chase.
I remember meeting that chase at zoo at old zoo.
And I was like, like, you were with Harry.
I was like, damn, this dude's fucking.
You were, I knew you were always tall.
But you were like kind of big, like big, big.
Not fat.
You were like fucking fat, but you were bigger.
And then I saw you.
I don't know how many years later.
I was like, this dude's fucking shredded.
And you're like dead serious about the boxing.
So how long have you been boxing now?
bro it's got to be like coming on four years next year but the thing is is like i did trial by
fire it wasn't like uh you know like some people when they start boxing it's like you start
when you're a little kid and you do like tournaments and amateurs and you know you develop
with me bro it was i got thrown right into like a pay-per-view main event and then every fight
after that was like you know big stage big stage big stage and then i was like you know got to
the point where I was tired of, um, like looking sloppy on the big stage. So then I started picking
up, you know, these smaller stage fights where I was fighting in Mexico and Columbia and stuff
and just kind of just building up my reputation that way. Wait, so you've done fights out in Mexico
and Columbia's like in the meantime? Bro, like those fights are so crazy. I did a Columbia fight. I texted
the promoter. I was like, yo, bro, can you get me a fight this weekend? He goes, well, actually,
I can get you four fights in one day if you want. And I was like, okay, cool.
He goes, yeah, just pay the fee of them, fly down here, get your hotel, and we'll get it done.
And you show up in the morning.
They don't check your gloves.
There's no commission there.
There's no wraps.
You literally just put on, like, most people share the boxing gloves there, and you're just
swapping gloves, and you're just going out there throwing hands with these random
Colombian dudes.
You know, you fight once.
You get, like, a couple rounds off.
You're going, and you fight again, and you just do that three or four times.
And then throughout the course of time, they'll post them on.
on your box record, your tapeology.
And now you have like this super padded
record and you just spent a weekend in Mexico
and just got four knockouts. What the fuck?
A lot of fighters do it though.
Like to be honest with you, Brad, like if you go on any professional
boxer's record and you go back to the bottom of it,
you'll see them fighting guys that are like, oh, in 16 or like
oh in 27, because what they do is like that's how they start.
Yeah. Well, I always known that with boxing. I mean, there's that
sort of delicate balance where like they want someone to be worth more money
and they're worth less money
if they have more losses
on their record, right?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, dude, Jake Paul's an example
of someone who's took that to the craziest degree.
Not that he's picked smaller
or weaker boxers his whole career,
but the way he's got into the space
is just completely not traditional.
Like this,
just like jumping onto the grand stage
just because of the social media presence
has been something really new.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Yeah, Jake Paul's done something
that a lot of people can't do.
And like, this is what Anthony Joshua
also said is there's two parts to the fight game similar to anything there's markability
and there's fight ability and it's the same in like acting social media anything it'd be like
if i came to you and said oh you're you know really funny and you had one really viral clip but that
doesn't make you a social media influence you have to you know have some sort of market or have a lot
of views but you make no money behind that you have to have some sort of markability and i think
you know jake paul's like the perfect example of that where he might not be the best fighter in the
world but he has the ability to get people to believe that he believes that and not people are
paying to watch him win lose or draw no matter what he does people are going to pay to watch you know
Jake Paul fight and that's kind of like the double-edged sword that uh professional fighters and
influencer fighters are fighting right now yeah dude it's it was crazy did you watch that fight before
your fight because it was the day before bro no it's actually the same day i same day ironically
because i fought uh technically today at three
a.m. for me. So the 21st at 3 a.m. or yesterday for me, I flew. So I got my time
doing it was a little bit messed up right now. But technically, yeah, so I fought the night
of the 20th, which is really the morning of the 21st, Jake Paul fought at 9 a.m. that day. So I woke
up, I had a rehydration clause in my contract. So I had to go make weight again. I was already
up. So got to catch, you know, Jake, go six rounds with Anthony Joshua, which is insane because
you know, you're famous for the whole 260 thing. That guy.
is 245 and he saw what he did do his job, you know, that dude. I mean, he's not only
two, two 45. He's also like a fucking, uh, an ex world champion and a fucking Olympic gold
medalist. Like that was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I mean, knowing where
Jake came from and to see him go from, you know, influencer to, I mean, arguably a high level
boxer. There's, you know, people will say whatever they want to say about his fights and his,
his choice of opponents. But I think that was a fight that like, you can't really
say anything. It's just like, bro, really
fought one of the best in the
game. Yeah, well, you have to look at it for
what it is. It wasn't really a
win or lose for him.
A win for Jake would be, if he goes
a distance with a two-time former
heavyweight champion, Olympic gold medals,
Anthony Joshua. That's the best
of the best of the best that you're talking about.
And even going six rounds with him,
Jake was filming a Disney channel
and YouTube videos when
Anthony Joshua's winning Olympic gold medals.
So I think, you know,
him blasting in there is is insane as it is and yeah he suffered a really you know tough cost of
breaking his jaw in two different places but you know if you can make that ringwalk that that
says enough about your character and how tough you are because that most people 99.9% of men
wouldn't do that yeah well you definitely you definitely see that like the reaction um to the fight
with tate uh was in a loss it was a little predictable to see how people because there's
so many people because he's such a
polarizing character where
you know people are going to be like, I'm so glad
this happened, he got humble, blah, blah,
all this sort of shit. But there
is that part that it always, I always find an
interesting on the internet how it's always the people
who would never step in a
situation like that and even put themselves on the line
who have the most to say. Yeah, dude,
if you saw some of these people that are sitting
in their mom's basements on Twitter
with Twitter fingers talking about, they would do this
or that. Most of these guys probably
never even seen a naked girl in their life.
life, let alone a boxing ring.
And the thing with Tate is kind of going back to what I said initially is
Tate is already a multi-millionaire with a brand.
He didn't have to box.
He boxed because he wanted to and he got in that ring.
And he could have done what any influencer that we've seen do.
And that's either A, fight another really big influencer or B, fight somebody that, you know,
they feel like they could just, you know, beat the crap out of.
You know, he looked at me.
I'm the number of, I'm the number two pound for pound fight.
on Misfits and the heavyweight champion.
He said, you know what?
I want to test our champions as the new CEO of the company as owner or part owner
of the company.
And, you know, it's funny because the switchup that you see from the people on Twitter
where it's like I was the minus or plus 850 underdog and he had like an 86% chance
to win and all of this shit and all these people are just hyping them up, hyping them up.
And I'm just sat there the whole time kind of just laughing because I was like all
these numbers and Bugatti's and
money, like none of that is
fighting for you in the ring. It's just me and you.
And I think there's
a super viral clip right now of me
making him flinch at the press conference.
And I kind of has told me everything I needed
to know because at the end of the day, he is
also a man. He also is feeling the nerves.
He also feels the pressure of this.
And, you know, when you get on that stage, you have
those eyes and those moments, it's
that's a completely different ballgame.
Yeah. And it's almost like
he, I mean, based on what you said, he almost has
more to lose. So it kind of becomes like more, like it might not, it's not that it doesn't mean
more for you. Obviously it means a lot for you, but it would mean more for him to lose. So like the nerves
are definitely going to be, I think, a little bit higher on that end. But yeah, I find it interesting
just the way people react to the whole thing, how it's just like this, you know, I get it
because it's fighting. And it is about like, you know, who win or lose. But I did, I did appreciate
what he said after, which is like the reason why he said, no, I got to do it is because he did feel somewhat of
that fear, we're like, okay, can I actually complete this, how I think I'm going to complete
this? But going back to what people, like, people's perception of it, I think it's because
there's that viral clip of you, like, throwing a crazy ass punch where you, like, look, you sort of
flailed. And then there's viral clips of him doing actual training and sparring sessions. So I think
they just compare the two, which is why you probably got the sort of, you know, odds that they came out
with originally. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. And it kind of just goes to, to show you, like,
people think that they know something that they know nothing about.
It's kind of like when you want to talk like your religion or politics or this or that
with people that just base everything that they know on either A, chat, GPT or B, you know, Twitter.
And I think the thing is, is like, Tate is the only person, he did a full camp, you know,
three months and he trained really hard for it.
And he was tough as nails.
Don't get me wrong.
That guy was tough as nail.
The first two rounds was rough.
And I don't want to discredit him.
And I think the thing is.
is people will say and try to compare
like, yeah, that miss swinging is viral, it was funny
and Tay is a former
world-class, you know, kickboxer.
But at the end of the day, it's like,
if you think that I didn't wake up
and decide and make a move
in my life so that I was going to improve from this,
then you guys were fools.
You shouldn't be running a betting company.
That'd be like, if I came to you, Brad, and I was like,
hey, when you were, you know, 15, 16 years old
and you can't, you know, bench 315 or 375,
and then, you know,
they've showed me a clip of you not being able to do it
and you're 17, well, you're not 17 anymore.
You should be able to clear that with absolutely ease.
You know what I mean?
And I think people are just quick to jump, jump the gun.
And yeah, it was kind of just funny because I spent the last like 15 hours
of looking at all the saved tweets over the last, you know, three months of,
you know, people saying I'm going to get starched.
And, you know, you got guys like Aidan Ross and neon and all these guys saying,
I'm not going to last around in there with them.
And it's just funny because I could, if I didn't like to, I, and,
And I, generally, I think the guy, you know, whether you say or whatever you want to say about him,
I think, you know, I resonate with some of the stuff he says.
And so if I didn't like him, I could go on the internet and I could, you know, post, you know, this clip or this clip or, you know, me doing this to him or, you know, replying to this.
But it's like, I think in the fight game, there's a level of respect that people don't talk about.
And I think it's like this if you fight anybody.
Once you fight somebody, I think it clears a lot of the tension.
It clears a lot of the air.
And I think you can, you can kind of gel from it because at the end of day, it's just two men getting in their.
doing a sport like the truest form of competition and that's just you know scrapping it out so yeah

a code raw talk 50 off to get it right now, plus free breakfast for one year. Let's get back
in this pot with Chase. Well, let's talk about that. You kind of mentioned, you resonate with
some stuff. And you, you finished that fight and you said something very heartfelt about Tate specifically
in his influence and in your life
and more specifically not taking your own life
and you said that he helped you.
What did you mean by that exactly?
Besides the obvious,
like my question is I haven't talked to you enough
to know about, your past troubles,
mental health issues or anything,
but I'm curious what of his sort of content
or did you have communication with him
or what helped you at what point in your life?
I just, I remember, you know,
obviously social media is a very mean game.
There's a lot of just trolls on the internet that just come at you.
And it's like, I would say social media is probably one of the most depressing
job because we play a game with numbers and relevancy.
And I think that when you do something, everybody just has a go at you.
And coming from where I come from, you know, I was a chunkier guy back then.
So I was getting, you know, made fun of, you know, not being the most aesthetically pleasing reality TV star.
And then, you know, I had the cockroach flying on my face.
And then, you know, it topples in.
You switch sports.
and you do boxing and you have the viral miss swing.
And I just, every day, no matter where I went, you know,
whether it was in Australia or Spain or wherever I was in the world,
people would just show me this clip and they were just laughing.
And it was in person and on the internet.
And I was just, just constant just digging myself into this deeper hole.
And I just, you go to some really dark places, Brad.
And in my head, I'm like, I don't really see a way out of this.
It's just, am I going to live the rest of my life,
just constantly being attacked for going out and trying my best
and failing and having that failure
be broadcasted across the world
just because I put myself in a position
where I've become such a public eyes on me
and it brings you to really dark places
and you start contemplating,
you're taking your own life, harming yourself
and, you know, I started, you know,
you take heavy medications,
I was taking, like, opioids, like sleeping medication,
hoping, like, I don't wake up and I'm tired of this.
And I just remember one day, you know,
I was leaving the gym and, you know,
Andrew Tay, he pops up on one of his speeches, and he comes on there, and he's just like
preaching about how, you know, men are tough, we're built different, we're meant to struggle,
and that's what makes a man is you build character, and you have these character developing
moments, and that's what makes you desirable, is because you have these hardships and it hardens
you. And I listen to this, and, you know, it changed from, I'm going to end it all today to,
well, maybe I'll just give it one more day. Maybe I'll show up to the gym the next day. Maybe
I won't, you know, read too much into, you know, Reddit or the comment sections and just
keep showing up.
And it turned in, you know, let's see if I can go two days.
Let's see if I can go three days.
And I just remember every day when I was having these hard moments and I couldn't get past
it, he's done, you know, so many of these speeches and some of these podcasts, I'm just popping back on.
I was just listening to this guy.
And then he starts talking about you should be in the gym.
You should have people criticizing you.
You should do this because this is what's going to make you stronger.
And I just remember every single day, I'm just showing up the boxing gym.
And I'm like, Top G is saying, you know, I'm doing this right.
I'm okay right now.
I'm young.
I can bounce back from this.
And there's no bigger form of a coward than somebody that has a hard moment and then just,
and just kind of just gives up on themselves.
And I knew and Top G knew as long as you don't give up on yourself, then, you know, anything's possible.
Yeah.
And so this was before you ever met, Tate, I'm assuming, right?
Yeah, this is, I never even met the guy.
I never thought I would meet the guy.
He's over off in Romania, Dubai.
I don't even know anything about him.
Like, I just, this is when he was first coming into the media scene.
He became the most Googled man.
And I remember I followed him on Instagram.
I was getting a shit ton of hate on Instagram.
He's like, why are you following tape?
He's misogynistic.
He's this is that.
And then it's like, I didn't know what people were talking about.
And so you Google search the guy and you listen to what he's saying.
And I'm sitting there thinking, like, I haven't really heard anything that he said that I don't entirely agree with.
So, you know,
I would listen more and more and more
and more. And he started
becoming more and more famous. But what's
crazy is the more that he would talk and the more people
would talk about him, the more he was in
like obviously Pierce Morgan and
all these other podcasts. And the things
the guy was saying, I felt like he was
talking to me. And it's one of those moments where it's like
everybody has somebody in their life
and it just takes one person that can change your
whole life. And he was with one of those people that
I heard just preaching about you know being strong being confident building on yourself and
you know it just like I said it turned into just make it one more day just make it one more day
and you know it turned into you know a lifetime for me yeah and so in regards to Tate and then
we'll talk about like your your past more so but in regards to Tate once you met him and you
had conversations with him because I've had I've had I've done interviews with him I've met him in
person multiple times of talking to him on and off camera is he the same person that you thought
he would be in person that he was on camera it's that's such a tough question because at times i
want to say yes but at times i want to say no if i said to you like is he the same person that you
put in front of a podcast mic and say go off on people no i don't think i don't think he's not person
but if you go to him and you have a conversation with him deeper than surface level he is
fully that person.
He believes these things. He believes
that, you know,
what it means to me, a man, very masculine
thing. And he made me realize
a lot about myself. And when I met him
in person at first, I was like, oh, this guy's
going to be a dick. He's surrounded by all
these security guards. And, like,
you're just like a micro
influencer compared to him. And he was
very welcoming. You know, I met him in Vegas,
a power slab. I took a photo with him for God's
sake. And super nice guy. And then,
you know, fast forward even, you know, a year
later, you know, I got an opportunity to meet him in Romania. I met him in England. And
he was just always, like, such a stand-up guy. And what's crazy about Tate is, even the people
that I've met that no Tate, they're always like, oh, yeah, I got his number. He always, you know,
messages me happy birthday. He genuinely like cares. And I'm sitting there thinking, like, there's
no way that the guy that I'm fighting, this superhuman, this top-level influencer can be such
a down-to-earth guy. And I just remember that first conversation I had with him. I was like, wow,
like guy shows up offered you know pay for the whole dinner um you know had a great conversation
with him talked about life and yeah he just got up and went back to his normal day to day thing
yeah yeah my experience was similar i remember we did a pod in in uh Dubai and then i spoke to him
for like an hour off camera and yeah i just i just the the reason why i'm highlighting this is i do find
it interesting how even how you said earlier about the sort of outside pressure of social media
what people think of you and not really knowing who you truly are obviously
they can only make assumptions based on like what you put out and what you post but there is that
thing the clipping culture where when someone wants to paint a narrative or draw a narrative around
someone it's very easy for them to do so based on like just this individual clips and i think he got
his sort of like polarizing character just because they'll take these you know polarizing moments and then
clip them up and isolating oh he said that look he said that it's bad because yeah when i i had him in
the gym i remember i got all this i obviously got a lot of love but i would get obviously all this hate
where it's like, oh my God, you're a misogynist,
and you have this guy in the gym,
and it's like, it's just funny how people forget
the thing that you mentioned
that is the large reason why he has such a male dominant following us
because he's speaking to men in a way that,
I think for a very long time,
a lot of people weren't and, like,
we're kind of taught not to as far as, like,
going through hardships and what it is to be a man
and what it means to, like, to excel and grow through the things that you go through.
And so it's cool to see, like, you come full circle
and obviously do well in your fight
and to even
it be that guy specifically.
So I just thought that moment after the fight
I was like, damn, that's why I hit you up.
It was really significant that that was the guy
that you identified as someone who actually helped
you out of a dark place in your life.
And then ironically enough, being
able to fight him and do well
was just like, it was a cool thing to see.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah. And I said that.
I said that to him even like leading up into the press conference.
Yeah, it's all, you know, promotion
and in fun at the end of the day, but I said to him.
I was like, you know, you got me through a lot.
You're my hero, but they said, don't meet your heroes.
I was like, you know, I kind of said it as a joke.
But, you know, even at the end of the fight, it's easy, especially, you know, somebody like him,
you can degrade your opponent.
You could say, you know, it was a robbery.
You could say this is not.
And it's like he is the type of guy where it's like he tested himself.
He said, you know, he felt fear and it excited him, first and foremost.
He made that ring walk.
It didn't go his way.
And he went out to the crime.
I don't know if you've seen the clip yet, but he went out to the crowd and addressed the whole crowd and didn't slander, didn't make a single excuse, you know, didn't discredit me. He said, even in the post-fight press conference, he's just like, you know, Chase is a true heavyweight champion. You know, I'm part of this organization now. I want to test our champions. He, you know, he gave me my flowers. And I think he could have, even they asked him about, like, a rematch of who he wants next or he's going to continue fighting. And he says, I don't want to, I don't want to take anything from Chase. This is his moment. And I
think that that to me meant a lot too because it's like not only does he practice what he preaches
but just the way you can smile if you win he's still smiling in a loss you know in a defeat he's not
he's not upset because he lost you know i mean he would be more upset if he didn't try if that
makes sense a hundred percent yeah so uh i didn't get to ask you but you you said tape made a hundred
million in equity and cash how much did you make from that fight yes i mean like basically i got
it was a two-fight deal like there is a rematch clause in there but he he kind of can call
the rematch clause it's not a rematch clause is the only a rematch clause if i win so technically i do
have a rematch with him there's a two fight 750 000 pounds whatever that comes up to you i think
like a million dollars yeah um deal so i got you know the first half of the first fight and then i
think in the rematch I don't have to make weight because I had a cut from like
230 down to 220 which was a nightmare if you're a nightmare like fucking horrible and yeah
there's a bunch of stipulations but yeah you know it was a good opportunity but you make a lot
of money off of like the brand deals the sponsorships etc too but it's also very
sticky and difficult because I had a lot of brands pull out because of you know obviously
the controversy that is Tate obviously you saw the fight was on rumble with it on
zone there's a lot of things that that played into that so
The rematch will definitely be interesting.
I think there's some rumors speculating right now
that they might want me to fight Tristan next,
kind of like the old Tate.
Holy shit.
Dynasty thing.
Yeah, yeah.
So you're the first person here about it.
So, yeah, so, yeah, Tristan might be up next.
If not, then we're going straight to Tommy Fury.
But, yeah, you know, the thing is,
where do you go from Tate?
You know, you already fight, like, a top-level influencer.
There's only so many of them up there.
So, you know, taking a step back from me
it would just be almost pointless.
So I'm kind of in like a rough position
where it's like you take on somebody
that has much less of a name
for much less money for much higher risk
or you know, you kind of like hold off
and wait for, you know, somebody with a bigger name
to roll around and want to, you know, try their hand in boxing.
Yeah, who's your, who do you think would be your ideal opponent right now?
Not like in the sense of like you think you would win
but who you really want to fight.
I really want to fight Logan Paul.
Like, I like Jake, and I like his whole dynamic.
I think he does well for the thing.
I think, yeah, obviously, Logan Paul, like, we're pretty much the same size.
We matched it very well.
We both have fought on misfits before.
You know, he's friends with KSI, the prime thing.
I just think that obviously, like, makes the most sense for me.
I don't know if you would ever go back into a boxing ring.
But, yeah, I would love to, you know, either fight him or Tommy Fury next.
Those are my top two candidates.
Yeah, I fought Logan, Paul.
That was interesting.
Yeah, how did that go?
You got any tips for me?
Don't get tired.
Don't get tired.
Conditioning.
Conditioning.
I'm going to get up to $2.60.
Then you win for sure.
I get my cardio up there.
I saw you shoot shots at Sean Shreckland on Twitter.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know what your relationship with Sean Strickland is.
I haven't been a fan of the guy since he did that.
I like Sneiko.
Sneakow.
I met him a couple times.
Always been such a genuine guy to me.
And I didn't really like the whole, let's show up and do some, you know, workout clips.
And he's taking the piss in them and just packing, you know, sneako in, no offense to sneako.
It just pissed me off.
And then he goes on these, like, racial tantrums on social media.
And I just, I see, like I said, it is all clippable.
So it could or could not be true.
But I know he tweeted something about at Andrew.
And it kind of jarred me because, one, Andrew just, you know, is already getting attacked by millions online.
And two, Sean's just doing it, you know, for clicks.
views. I'm like, you know, if you think it's so easy and you think boxing's so tough,
you know, I mean, I'm here, man. Like, you could come try your hand at the heavyweight champ,
too. I like my odds in a boxing match against an MMA guy any day. So you would take that
fight? A hundred percent. I, Brad, I promise you, just like everybody thought I would lose
the angiote and tell me if you, I promise you, MMA fighters do not know how to box. These
guys come in and they want to do their Greco style wrestling with their nasty ass cauliflower ears and
listen, they could come in here
and try all that and try to fight me, but I'm going to box them
and box their head in and then I'm going to
take them into deep waters and Sean
knows this too. If he wants to come in here
I'm going to put, you know, no weight
clause on it. I'm going to say it's going to be 10 rounds
and I'm going to take him into the deep waters
and I'm going to make them pay for it.
Same thing I said to tape, you know.
He's a little crazy, bro. I feel like
he would do this. He's not
he doesn't have bad hands either, man.
Like he can box.
Man, listen, I, and everybody tells
me. Everybody calls me crazy.
Man, just yesterday I was the
90 plus 850
underdog. You know what I mean? Like
people think I'm crazy too, but
I somehow keep finding a way to win.
And, you know,
Sean Strickland, I would
fight him tomorrow. I'm not
even fully recovering from my fight last night, but
I would show up tomorrow if there was a gym, there was some
boxing clothes, and I would fight him. And that's how
I'm in that. Oh, shit.
That's a fight.
That's a fight. If they could make
that fight, that would be a good fight.
That would be a big fight, for sure.
I just don't know how to see the UFC works in that way.
I know he's had some issues, I think some suspension stuff with the UFC,
but if they can make that happen,
I just don't know, you know, how Dana feels about people going out and doing other stuff, you know?
Look, if Dana sends Sean Strickland over to Miss Fitzboxing,
he's going to have the same hate comments the next day on Twitter as Andrew Tate does.
You see how I took the top G and now everybody's having to go to the top G.
Now everybody's going to look at Sean Strickland and they're going to be like,
you lost to the dude from Love Island.
And that's the difference.
It's like I just don't think it's a different sport, Brad.
Like boxing is not M&A.
I know, but those guys train boxing, though.
They train like and he, you know, he's crazy.
I think crazy is the big.
I'm not saying you don't have what it takes.
You know, you're not crazy because you got to be crazy getting the ring
regardless of who you are.
But he's a little, he's a little different, I feel.
I think he's a little.
He's absolutely a lunatic.
And that's the thing.
That's why I want to fight him because I know the thing is,
is like, I'm one of those people where it's like the heart of the competition I have,
the brother I'm going to push myself, you know, similar with Andrew Tate,
when they gave me Andrew Tate, they said, hey, this is going to be really tough.
I said, well, why is it going to be tough?
They're going to be like, well, they're going to weight drain you,
and they're going to put, you know, weight clauses on you,
and they're going to make you come to Dubai, and you're going to be B-side for your time.
All these things, I'm like, sign me up.
I'm also crazy.
You have to be crazy to be in this game.
And Sean might have hands, but I just, I back myself.
I back myself.
And I think in fighting, right, you have to, you have to, you have to,
to be the guy that says, I'm the best
in the world. Otherwise, you're going to, you're going to get
your teeth kicked in, you know, and I've had
10 consecutive wins now,
nine of those being knockouts,
and, you know, I don't plan on stop
anytime soon. Yeah. Well, it's good.
It's interesting, too, though. There's this
like, uh, like if you lost to
Strickland, no one would be like,
oh man, you fucking suck.
You know, they'd be like, damn, at least he got
in the ring. Because you see it with, with Jake
and these, these bigger opponents that are
like really, really in the game.
I like, and I think Jake knew this consciously, too.
It's like if he goes fight someone like Anthony Joshua,
win or lose, like we said earlier,
if he goes to the distance or even somewhat the distance,
it's a win no matter what.
And so, for example, like these other guys,
like Strickland would have more pressure to win that fight,
like way more pressure because everyone would expect it.
You'd be way down on the betting.
Like they would all expect you.
So it's like, it's almost like a win-win.
And if you just challenge yourself, like why not give it?
a shot. But it is, it's a little more tricky for them. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
like I just, like I said, like 24 hours ago, I was in the same boat. I was fighting a world
champion kickboxer, you know, with 80 plus fights. Yeah, I was in the exact same boat. And I think
yeah, I'm, I'm no stranger to being in that boat. Everybody's always going to think I'm going
to lose. They're always going to play the same clip of the viral mid swing. And that works in my,
I wear it like a badge now because it's like you have no idea what my capability.
are. And it's just like, I was, like I said, I had a 99.9% chance of losing yesterday. And I, and I, and I beat him.
Why, why did you keep trying to throw the upper cut? I'm like, that was, you kept trying to hit him with
that upper cut, bro. Well, let me tell you. So what happened was we were in, we were in the corner and we
knew that Tate, his, his whole thing is he moves like a snake. That's why he's the cobra. So he likes to go
left and right. And so in the locker room, we were practicing the left hook and the overhand, but we
kept on throwing the overhand, but he was leaning forward. He was slipping it forward,
and I kept on missing it, and we kept on getting in the clench. And so I was like,
we go to the corner, I was like, we got to adjust. And Gary's like, uh, recalling a fight that I
had before against this guy named Nate and Maricon. He goes, you remember that long
uppercut? He's like, try a couple of those and see if you can get him to lower his guard,
then throw the left hook. And so I was baiting him in, and I pumped it, and then I threw it, and then
I threw it, and then I was like, okay, maybe that was just a lucky shot. Then I threw it
Again, I stuck him with it again.
And then you get a couple of those, and I saw his face bleed.
And in the middle of the fight, I looked to him in his face, and I said,
What color is your Bugatti?
No.
And I wanted him to say red.
In the middle of the fight, when his face started leaking blood, I was like, I'm going to keep
throwing this uppercut.
And the thing is, it worked.
The uppercut, you know, once you're tired, and when you're tired in fighting,
your first defense is to go down.
And, you know, it didn't matter how hard that uppercut was coming and didn't know what angle.
He's a kickbox.
He doesn't know how to defend an uppercut.
He's used to picking his knees up.
And so once I had clocked that that was going to work, the next, you know, after round two, that's all I needed to throw was the uppercut, a jab and a hook.
How much were you pressing down on?
Every time he went down, were you consciously, like, trying to put down on him, put the weight?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That was something we also, we worked out in the locker.
I got a few clips of us talking about that, too.
So we knew that, you know, he was going to drain me down.
90 KGs, 200 pounds,
but I
drained all the water out of me,
took like three days to do,
felt awful,
but I knew fight night
I could come back up to like 100, 101, 102,
and I was eating Chapo.
I was eating all these heavy foods
because I was like,
I know that he is the type of guy
that's, if he's a smart fighter,
he's not going to try to fight me at range.
He wants to fight me up close
because he fights me at range,
I have a longer reach than him.
And so the game plan was essentially jab, jab,
and then lean on him when he comes in for the tire
because you know whether you lean on them or not
the first couple rounds he's going to try to wrestle me off of him
you know I did wrestling and I just come strong
I know how to hold the arms down and yeah that
that'll win to yourself obviously you've been in fights before
that wrestling that's the one that takes all the wind out of you
oh bro it fucking wrecks you he wrecks you yeah so yeah once you're tired
it's done so you don't have a next opponent but it sounds like it could be
Tristan yeah or Sean Strickland
when he sees this podcast, he's for sure going to want to fight you.
I would love.
They could pay me.
I wouldn't even need as much to fight Sean Strick as I did Andrew Tay.
I just, I just think I would do that personally, personal vendetta.
Personal vendetta against him.
KS.I is going to hear this and be like, don't pay that motherfucker.
No, don't say that.
Yeah.
No, no, fuck that.
You need at least 500, bro.
Fuck that.
Yeah.
No, I would 100% like Sean.
I think Tristan's on the table right now.
Tommy Fury's on the table
and Sean Strickson wants to come try his hand
and he can come to his hand
but the thing is like Brad we'll be sitting here
after the Sean Strickland fight let's just say I beat him
and I'm going to come on here and I'm going to say
remember when I told you I was the plus
I don't know 90 something dog to lose again
I'm always the under I'm not going to lie
I'm going to say this straight to your face I would bet against you
and Sean Strickland that's it that guy is
I and I'm not trying to be mean
I'm just saying like I'm falling
on that side of the disbelief not
that I don't think you wouldn't show up and you wouldn't
Yeah. I'm just being honest there because that guy's just fucking honest. I respect it. I respect it. It's the people that'll be like, no, no, no, you'll win. And then behind your back, they're like, now you're, you're going to lose. But, but I believe you'll do it. I have no doubt that I don't think you would try to pull out. I don't think you would try to avoid it. I think you would do it for sure. I'll, no, I'll be in that ring. Like, I'll even give him A-side. I'll be, I'll camp out the night before. I'll be in that ring. Don't you worry.
So why on the fight did you have the fuckdule.com on the thing?
Oh, dude, that was so funny.
So basically I got this sponsorship from Rainbet.
And Rainbet come.
They paid for my shorts to put their patches on it.
And so Tate was sponsored by Duel.
That was like his whole thing.
So he was meant to come out in his shorts that said Duel.com, but isn't he a owner?
I'm excuse me, I interrupted.
it. Isn't he an owner of Duel?
No.
Yeah, I think he owns part of it or something.
Yeah.
So it's like his whole company, right?
And so they're like trying to pay me.
They wanted to pay me 100K to put Duel.com on my shorts.
I said, yeah, sure, I'll put Duel.com on my shorts.
But right before the fight, I was like, fuck, dual.com all over it.
Because they didn't say I couldn't slander them.
They just said I had to have Duel.com on there.
So, yeah, I put the Duel.com on there.
I put it in the shitty-ass duct tape so it looked boof.
And I put the fuck Duel.
But it actually was marketing.
genius because not everybody's looking
at this duct tape on my shorts
that says fuckbuckle.com
and it actually spiked their
subscribers. Wait,
did it, did they pay you for that?
Yeah, 100 rocks.
They paid you
100kato and they, did they,
did you tell them what it was going to be before they, like,
did you okay? Yeah, they, yeah, dude,
I got, I'll send you, I'll text you
a fucking screenshot of the
of the message where he goes,
oh, this is fucking sick. Yeah, please worry this.
I had two options.
Yeah, dude, it was actually jokes.
They were a bunch of cool.
They were cool, to be fair.
Yo, that's crazy.
Yeah.
I mean, that's just the definition of any marketing is good marketing, right?
Yeah, because it makes people look more.
Most people just see it and they'll be like, oh, dole.com.
And then if you actually look at it, like, oh, fuck dual.
It's actually kind of funny.
So how did you train, obviously you train boxing for the fight, but did you still incorporate
like any sort of football stuff that you've done in your training?
To be honest with you, bro, I had to go film another dating show.
I was away filming a day.
Yeah, for the entire month of November, I was away in Tenerife, Spain,
filming an entire dating show.
What?
So you had a, you were training in Spain then?
Yeah, no.
So basically what had happened was...
Wait, how did you boxing train in November then?
Exactly, exactly.
So what they did was is basically, obviously,
obviously I do reality to have to do a couple of shows a year.
They had this dating show pop up, and they're like, hey, we basically need you in Tenerife for all of November to film us.
And I was like, well, I have a fight December 20th.
And so they're like, well, we in your contract can do a little bit of negotiation.
Normally you're not allowed to have like your phone and stuff on these shows.
And yeah, so basically they in my contract built me an entire gym, treadmill, weight room, boxing bag.
And they gave me an hour and a half to two hours early in the morning, like five, six a.m.
where I could, like, call my coach, check in with him, meet the nutritionist and stuff.
They brought in a special chef for me, so I was, like, on my diet because I had to lose so much weight.
Even though all I was eating for three months was, like, basically cucumber and watermelon.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was so shitty.
And then I filmed an entire dating show.
I would sleep like four hours a night, get up, run on a treadmill the next day, go film this entire dating show until like one, two in the morning again, go back to sleep.
And I did that all of November.
What was the show?
Can you say the name of the show?
I've just been telling people it's Love Island, but it's it.
I'm under an NDA, but it is a dating show.
It's a day show similar to Love Island.
Okay.
So you don't have, are you currently, are you currently dating?
Are you currently like with someone?
Or I don't know if you talk about this kind of stuff or I don't know if you're in
India, you can't.
You can't.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I couldn't, but I'm going to tell you.
Nah, I went on there.
I was stuck between two.
different girls and it's going to be really funny when the show comes up because there's like a
scene basically where I had to you know pick one to stay and pick one to eliminate and then
they had to like kind of like beg me a little bit to keep them it's this it's going to be so
ego checked but like I just eliminated myself and I was like you know what I'm actually
going to lose I played the victim in that show so I had to get out of there so I could
get back to training state but I was stuck there for you know five weeks yeah
in Tenerys Spain so it was real bugs on the face yeah
yeah thank god
you know that
so so are you
you said you have like
you have some sort of deal with these
reality shows like you have to do them
a certain amount a year
yeah so uh yeah i got a sick
sick deal with obviously like Netflix they keep me
annual contract so I do a show for Netflix a year
so obviously I did like pop the balloon this year
I did battle camp last year and like you know these shows
has always just come up and so
I got a great contract with Netflix for I just do an annual
reality show for them
whatever they decide.
I think I'm going to do physical 100 next year.
So I'm really excited to do that.
Oh, that show is cool.
That show is cool.
Yeah, I've never even seen it.
So I actually have to watch that over the weekend
so I can figure out what the hell is going on with that.
But yeah, no, it's sick.
And then obviously I just finished up my first movie.
I did this movie called The Weeping.
I got to play.
I had a lead in that.
So I'm really excited for that to come out here really soon, too.
So I just, you know, full circle moment for me.
Is that your main direction is acting?
Yeah, I want to transit.
I mean, obviously, box.
I'm doing well in the boxing.
So if box is, you know, if box is, you know,
going to keep paying, I'm going to keep showing up.
People still want to get punched.
So I'll be there to punch them.
But obviously, I think acting is a little bit less taxing, more longevity.
I see myself as like, I want to do similar to what the Rock did, you know,
kind of take WWE and transition into acting.
So, yeah, I just spend loads of hours, time, money, dedication into acting schools,
obviously in L.A.
And then, yeah, yeah, just doing my thing, man.
Well, when are you back in L.
right after Christmas
I'll fly back to 26
so yeah
just like I said
I was in Dubai
literally today
but last night
for you guys
as soon as the fight was over
I went to the hotel
grabbed my suitcase
and got on the airplane
and flew straight back
yeah
well when you're back in LA
you gotta come train
we gotta link back up again
yeah yeah
let's do it bro
I'm definitely
I'm proud of you though man
like not a lot of people
break out of the influencer space
and do more things
I think people get stuck in a rut
of just like
the same shit
that's comfortable
but it's cool to see people
who don't give a fuck
and who are willing to do
whatever it takes to get there.
So it's cool to see what you've done for sure.
Yeah, bro.
I appreciate this so much.
Obviously, yeah,
I see you do it all the time,
brother,
I was trying to get like you too.
I've just done it forever, man.
But it's cool
because I remember being you years ago
and then I always think like,
ah, these fucking Love Island
or these reality TV people
like they pop and then they fizzle.
But it's cool to see you sort of continue
and find new lanes to succeed at for sure.
Yeah,
I think that's the whole.
hardest thing, especially coming from reality shows.
It's like Love Islanders and stuff like that, bro.
It's like our pop is like this and then it's just like it plummet.
And I knew that.
Obviously I had like, obviously you and Harry and like all these other, you know,
bigger influencers around me.
You're like, dude, you got to find like other avenues too.
I was like, oh, I got smart.
So then, you know, obviously I stayed with, you know, doing different shows and then
doing the social media and the gym content and stuff.
So just find different ways.
Yeah.
Well, I'm proud of you, bro.
And I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me today for sure.
Yeah, anytime you need me.
I'm around.
And when you're back in L.A., we got to train.
Maybe fuck around do a little sparring.
I know we talked about it.
You can show me some moves.
Yeah, man.
You got to show me that fucking wildup for good.
I'll show you whatever you need, bro.
We talked about it before.
Yeah, I definitely need to have putting some muscle back on now.
I'm too skinny.
Yeah, man, we'll do it.
Well, I'm proud of you.
Congrats on your win, and I look forward to see what you do next.
I definitely want to see a Strickland fight.
that's like for me it's a personal like i really want to see that i really want to see yeah um but
obviously send them in would be cool too yeah yeah yeah brother we'll get you at the next flight
