I don't have like a camera of an osmo, but I've been like whether it's like with my mom or like with my brother or like solo stuff alone like just talking. And I would never do that before either. I always thought like I'm going to collab with someone and like make it so funny and interesting like for it to do well.

And now I realize like, okay, this content doesn't do as well. but it's, like, fun for me to do. Yeah. Like, the self-vlogging is fun. And it shows people a different, like, side of you. Yeah. I think it's coming back, like, like, entirely. Yeah.

I think people are going to do, I mean, not that the, you know, the higher production stuff and the collapse stuff will go away, but I think a lot more people are going to start doing more, like, handheld, handheld vlogging stuff again. i feel like everyone's a content creator everywhere now that is true yeah like everyone is a fucking content creator you did a stream with neon recently and some because some kid came out to me at my gym and was like i love him vaughn are we talking about von how many likes to get on a stream with you yeah But some other kid came out to me and was like, where's neon? He came to the gym and he's like, his neon ear? I was like, I think he's like on vacation somewhere. He's like doing some stream. He's in Australia with Iggy Azalia.

Yeah. And he was like, yeah, because he did this. I want to try to get on his stream. And he's like, got, like, some millions of likes on TikTok got on his stream. And he was like, how does this guy find these people? I was like, I think he just goes to when they're live. He knows what they're going to be. Because he's come up to me twice now.

First time he came up to me was, and he's also like a really sweet kid. He's, you've probably seen his clips. He wears like the meta glasses. um he's like darker features uh and he goes up to be like he's like hey like i love your content like uh sketch like how many likes to like get on a stream with you and like he did the same thing to neon after and neon followed through and i thought that was so amazing of neon like he did it 10 days to go to neon and neon had him on stream week later yeah i saw that i saw it and the kid was just brought that up to me it was pretty funny but it's like it is interesting not everyone is like

trying to be a content creator now yeah i mean it's bro like it's like the best yeah like it can't you think it's easy yeah it is so easy easier now do you think it's easier for girls yes not even close right no it's not close but you know what I will also say what I've noticed from the girls that I know that do content girls it's I think it's easier for them to blow up like they're women like women it's easier I think to blow up secondly women take it harder than the men do but pause but i mean like the the the negativity the women women take it way harder than the men do so once you're actually in it i think women get in their heads way more than the guys do i think guys like mostly don't care more concerned people are saying yeah like

what the fuck was that you hear that you have a mouse i think there's mice in here that wasn't a mouse but it did sound like that was that this that was so weird that's for sure a mouse there's a mouse behind me no okay probably chewing the wires as we speak but um um but i've been trying to balance like the solo stuff because you can't always rely on collabs because like sometimes like you got to just do it on your own. Well, it's also the scheduling is just fucking insane. The scheduling is so hard, which you know with this podcast, like getting someone on is insanely difficult. So I've been trying to balance that. But like a lot of this stuff is the dating stuff, but I've realized the dating stuff, um, it's so much fun to do. And there's nothing more

to it than what like is seen on camera. Like you would know. Like we've shot. That was me. Oh. Oh, it was you then. Oh, yeah. We shot it. Like we'll shoot videos and then like cameras turn off. We go our separate ways. It's not like, okay, now it's going like another day. You know, like it's not like a deeper than whatever we just filmed. But that's easy for us to understand.

But it's hard for other people to understand that. So I think that maybe I do need to kind of lean off the dating content maybe. Yeah, it's hard because what are you thinking is different um justa what are you yeah what are you thinking well yeah well yeah but oh she talks to a lot of guys but also she she does appear single to me because she's talking to so many different guys a peer single but like i think it gives off the connotation that like i'm a i'm a ho when i'm not yeah like i know that you know that but you know me personally that's what i'm saying is like maybe um someone else that was like oh maybe like there's a potential candidate, but then sees my content. It's like, what the heck is she doing?

of all is a cheat code being local to l.A was a cheat code yeah uh having you was the biggest cheat code so that like having you gave me access to the gym your entire network like you would bring me around like anyone you were around um you helped me with like anything from like taxes to like Instagram reels to whatever so it's definitely a lot of it's luck but I was having a conversation last night like a lot of it is also luck but it's also what you make of it for sure as well but I'm not discrediting you obviously you fucking like all of the flowers to you because I yeah you gotta have the work ethic to be able to make it actually be something but that's what i wanted to ask you about what was your perspective of the whole phase clan breakup thing but i thought it's it's not the same

but it's the same concept you just spoke to which is like my perspective of it is obviously it sucks for everyone involved but the group right coming together that second time right the new version of phase for them to all come together like all their stuff was paid for not that they couldn't have been successful in the long run regardless, but because like remember we mentioned, they were all right away a group and all working together. Like if they were just at their house and like wherever they're from individually, they wouldn't have had the same level of success. Being in a group could because regardless, you get attached to characters. Like this is like David vlog squad like to a T. You know, like you loved his vlogs because there was the reoccurring characters in every vlog. Like maybe you

drew an attachment to this person or that person from his like vlog. videos or whatever so you kept watching that's like another version of like the zoo group like me you chikos even like people like Nate or like whatever it is like that little um ecosystem there like phase yeah so being a part of a group a thousand percent is like helps yeah but also being genuine friends with the group because you don't want to be around people that like you don't uh like genuinely have like love for in your heart. So the phase thing I didn't really get because at first I thought it was, remember how like Marlin like fooled the internet or something that was like a thing,

like a month? I don't even think he's part of phase, but he was working with them. I'm saying like Marlon like fooled the internet and like left the internet for seven days or something. Did he get roasted for that? Okay, he might have gotten roasted. But anyways, I thought that's what this phase thing was. I thought it was like another like little like, oh, ha ha, we fooled all of you.

No. It's like really done for. So they broke up completely. though. I mean, they're, they basically are moving away from, like, the whole group content creator thing to just focus on e-sports, like phase as a company. Well, that's what phase was from the beginning, was Call of Duty and stuff, right? Yeah, it was always e-sports, but they're, they're like outward face to the public beyond. Because, like, most of people, unless you follow e-sports specifically, you wouldn't know about

unless you wouldn't look for it. A lot of those top gamers. I mean, they have some of the best gamers. And then this content creator side of it was really how they made the name original. with banks and Tico and Apex and Adapt and all these people, rain. And then obviously that fell out how it did over the years. And then this was the new version of it, which is like the new content creators.

And then I guess Max had left and everyone else kind of stuck around. And then why did Max leave? I don't know all the details. Like they were going back and forth on Twitter about certain things. And I think a lot of it had to do with like some, there was like some crypto MLG thing that. Everyone was like, oh, that's a scam. And I guess Banks was a part of that or I don't know all the details of it.

And then he had left, but like was supposedly, I don't know if he was trying to come back or not. It just looks all fucked up because essentially I think what happened was the guy who actually owned it who invested money back into it again is like some the guy who owns draft kings. Yeah, I heard about that. He probably came back and was like, well, we paid all this money for like these houses and all the security and like they paid for filmers and all this stuff for that group to like. like have success and they weren't sharing revenue at that point and they probably were like hey we're going to do this and down the line we're going to introduce a contract and then the contract it's like once they sort of got everything they needed you know like I've had experiences like that with people where it's like you give someone enough and they just be like oh cool I got

everything I don't need you anymore yeah that's kind of what it looks like to be honest like I mean they definitely got a big benefit from like the group and you know then there's conversations around like was phase paying for like view bots and like all this kind of stuff because banks was then saying like your shit your guys your shit is bought it and all this stuff not thanks went and said that banks was saying no wouldn't he right so so it's like where they paying for the housing bots all this stuff to like add to the success and to the level of success because I mean I you know the game and content it's like I've seen it for years where people paying for views or view bots and they're able to get certain guests because the guests don't know any

better so they just think oh this person has this many people watching or more importantly the brands that are paying for endorsements don't know any better yeah i mean essentially that at at the end of the day that starts to fall down but i can see from both perspectives why it kind of sucks because i've been in the other side where it's like you you do a lot for someone you you kind of expect them to be like yeah of course take this deal now but then once they kind of already gotten it they don't have to take it anymore yeah um i try to invite banks to have him on I want to have to come talk about this, but I didn't hear back from him. But yeah, it's interesting to see how, because regardless, they're going to do fine,

because they got on the stream the other day and we're like, yeah, we're still going to work together. What I think they're going to do is probably just make a new, like, organization. Yeah. And they'll probably just all own it without, like, any outside people. What I don't think they recognize, which at the end of the day, I guess it doesn't matter, because I'm assuming they're making a lot of money at this point anyways, is they're going to have to pay for a lot of stuff to, like, facilitate that. Because I got, I don't think.

That stuff's expensive. Yeah, to facilitate the housing. or security 24-7 or I think because they said they had chefs had all kinds of shit but yeah it's just a classic like you know when someone gets it then it's like oh I don't I never needed this kind of thing yeah but that was the thing that I found interesting was you know kind of how you said how you were pushed into you know this group of people myself being there and like everyone else involved it's kind of it's kind of parallel to this whole phasing where it's like the group itself like would they have had the same success without the

group I don't necessarily think so so I think being a part of a group is it does I mean maybe you're going to be successful regardless but it speeds it up yeah definitely because regardless I think dynamic does so good with other people you bounce off other people the personalities like someone might watch like this someone might watch this podcast and be like oh I didn't know about Sarah like I like her like it feeds other people's audiences other places you know what I mean I mean you get a different perspective on everyone yeah for sure how come you stop streaming bro i realized like the other day i streamed with neon and he's changed a lot as a person he was very pleasant to be around yeah not saying he was never pleasant but he

grew up yeah i know a lot i knew that yeah no he was amazing but so what i'm and today i was going to stream with ryan garcia and then if he uh like i think he got like sick last minute or he wasn't feeling good but um i'll go on other people's streams but streaming myself Like you said the figuring out all of the logistics the back end stuff and then also I felt like brain dead when I was done streaming like when I'm when I used to stream like myself I would feel brain dead at the end of it because you got to be like constantly talking. Yeah constantly talking constantly like on and like reading chat. I'm not saying this is complicated stuff but I'm saying like I felt brain dead at the end. Yeah like filming a YouTube video or hopping on someone else's stream for like an hour or two or like doing this is like so easy. Like you just you just show up like you handled all the back end stuff i just show up and talk to you and then leave yeah i get it you know the streaming stuff is different yeah streaming stuff so different because i wanted to do it i was like damn it's just so fucking it's to be so consistent yeah like youtube's goaded like you can post once a week twice a week whatever it is and it's just nice it's

hands off and then you also have access to the footage where you can make changes if you don't like the way you were perceived or you said something like someone might have gotten offended with or whatever you can cut it out do you do everyone's so soft yeah everyone not everyone but not most people are so soft actually not everyone because some people are very not soft they're hard yeah like they'll watch like they'll got the jokes and they're like you're funny like I think most people are really like that you just have a whole group of people that like want to see people fail yeah they're like waiting oh look it's bad yeah But that's, oh, look at this.

Like you want to cross post it on everywhere to like maximum. You already edited the video and like put the effort in, cross post or cross everything. So you say think start YouTube and then use that content for everything else? I wasn't saying like long form YouTube, but I'm saying even like if you film one TikTok

and it's like a vertical TikTok, post that everywhere. YouTube shorts, Instagram, Reels, TikTok, and Snapchat Spotlight, cross-posted everywhere. Do you get what I'm saying? Yeah, for sure. But why do you think people actually have, like, how do you think people actually find success in this space now? Because I get asked this all the time in person. I do too.

What do I do? And I always say like a lot of it is consistency, which I think it is. Like, sure, maybe you're not as consistent posting like on Instagram or TikTok, but you're consistent with the podcast, you're consistent with the vlogs. and you've already established your brand and you were consistent with all of those things for years. Yeah. You know, so you have like that leniency, right? But someone that's starting off, you need to be so consistent numerous times a day.

Like I'm three and a half, almost four years in and I'm still posting numerous times a day. You know, like you have to keep the momentum. And then also there has to be something about it where either I always think it's like you either have to like make people laugh or like some sort of entertainment either give some sort of knowledge yeah or um do something creative it has to be like something where it intrigues people's um like minds like i think like me and Felipe's content like you know we're not teaching anyone how to do anything like we're like we're not adding knowledge but it's like entertainment yeah to some extent um like people like oh like this like like like I love saying like oh like I was at work and like this got my mind off things

for like 20 minutes like that's the best because like that's why i go and watch like tv shows or a movie it's like i want to not think about anything yeah i get it yeah it has to be it has to be something that add some sort of value yeah adding value and then it i think the thing that i always end up telling people because like again i get asked this question like literally probably every day in person is it has to be genuine to you yeah because i think it's hard to sustain you to talk about consistency and having to post like all the time posting every day or it's like if it's not really you and you're just doing it because like you think you'll get an effect you're going to be burnt out way faster yeah and then your ability to like continue just going to be completely dead
