So this guy was about to play in the World Cup until he fed his girlfriend to some dogs.
Now the guy's name is Bruno, and Bruno's around 24 when this story starts, and he's living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Now Bruno is a professional soccer player. He plays for one of the biggest soccer clubs in Brazil, if not the biggest.
So the dude is earning a ton of money, and his team is performing well.
Things are going great for him. He's a star. But Bruno appears to have a
weakness. Women. He loves women. He loves to smash. And one day in 2009, Bruno is out partying at a
barbecue at a friend's house, and that is when he sees this woman, Elisa. And Elisa is also 24,
and she's an aspiring model and actress. And you know the deal. Bruno thinks Elisa is foin,
and Elisa also thinks Bruno is foin. And so they start talking and they hit it off, and later
they smash. Then they meet up again.
and they smash again, and they just keep hooking up on the regular.
But here's the problem with them hooking up all the time.
Bruno is already married.
Not only is he married, but he's also seeing other women,
other women besides Elisa and his wife.
However, Lisa doesn't know about any of this.
She thinks she's the only one.
But then one day, that same year,
Bruno is being interviewed by a magazine,
and in that interview, he announces,
that he's engaged.
Engaged to a completely
different woman than all
these other women. And Alisa
sees this interview and she is
pissed. Because not only did she
think she was the only one, but around
the same time, she also
finds out that she's
pregnant. So I guess
to spite Bruno for not telling
her that he was seeing other people,
she decides that she's going to tell
the whole world about what
he's done. So through the media,
she announces to the public that she's pregnant with Bruno's baby, and it's this whole scandal.
And of course, when Bruno finds out that she did this, now he's super upset.
I mean, he's already married and engaged to another woman, and because of all that,
he doesn't want to have a baby with Elisa, his side chick.
So he demands that she go to an underground illegal abortion clinic and get rid of it.
But Elisa's like, nah, I'm keeping the baby.
And from here, Bruno just completely ghosts her.
He stops taking her calls.
He's not giving her any financial support.
He refuses to take a DNA test.
And Elisa ends up filing a lawsuit for paternity and child support.
And of course, she keeps talking to the media so that this story stays in the public eye.
And this is where Bruno finally just snaps.
And he comes up with a diabolical plan to get rid of this baby.
He's gonna kidnap Elisa and force her to get rid of it.
So he links up with his friend to pull this off.
This guy, Spaghetti.
And so Bruno and Spaghetti, they get to work on this plan.
And one day, Elisa is out in the streets doing, I don't know, something.
And suddenly, boom, Bruno and Spaghetti appear out of nowhere,
and they force Elisa into the car.
Then they take her to Bruno's apartment.
And there, Bruno threatens her with a gun,
and he forces her to take medication that will kill the baby.
After that, they let her go.
And as soon as she's free, of course, she goes right to the police, and she reports everything.
But here's what's really weird about all of this.
Elisa ends up filing the equivalent of a restraining order against Bruno.
And this restraining order gets denied due to a technicality, a technicality that I won't get into the specifics of.
So after kidnapping her and threatening her and forcing her to take some substance that would unalive her baby,
there are no legal consequences for Bruno.
He gets away with all of it.
So months pass.
And apparently the medication Bruno gave Elisa didn't work.
Because eventually, she has his baby.
It's a boy.
But the unfortunate thing is, she's struggling financially.
I mean, she's a single mom and she can't get stable work.
relying on friends just to survive and take care of this kid. And Bruno, he still refuses to help
her out. He doesn't even acknowledge the kid is his and he still won't take a paternity test. So Elisa
keeps talking to the media about everything, about Bruno and how he's abandoned her and his baby. And this
continues to piss Bruno off. This time even more than it did before. Because during this time,
he's in a pivotal moment of his career.
He's now getting attention from a big soccer club in Europe.
And also, there's a real chance that he could be called up
to the Brazilian national team to play in the World Cup.
So this is a big deal.
And he can't afford to have this kind of scandal dragging his name through the media.
And so that is when he decides there's only one way to solve this.
He needs to get rid of Elisa for good.
So he reaches out to her one day
And he lies to her
And he says that he wants to settle things
And that he's ready to take a DNA test
And sign the birth certificate as the father
And pay her a lump sum of money
To help her take care of the child support
That he hadn't been paying
As long as she agrees
To stop talking to the media
And Aliza agrees
I mean this is all she's ever wanted
Then Bruno pays for a hotel for her
And her son to stay in in Rio
And so Elisa is
there at this hotel and she's finally content and she feels like maybe this is actually going to work out after all.
And about three weeks go by and one day spaghetti contacts Elisa and I don't know exactly what he says to her but he lets her know that he's going to come pick her up.
So he picks her and her baby up and eventually he drives her six to seven hours away to a ranch that Bruno owns.
And there they meet up with some goon who
who's been hired to kill Elisa, and suddenly,
this goon just attacks her, and he starts strangling her.
And he, unfortunately, kills her.
Then, to get rid of the evidence, the goon dismembers her body,
and he feeds it to the dogs.
Meanwhile, while all of this is happening,
Bruno hands Elisa's son over to someone,
like, you do something with this baby.
Then that person gives that baby to someone else,
then that person gives the baby to someone else,
then the baby finally ends up in the hands of, I don't know, just a random person.
And a few days go by,
and Elisa's friends realize that she's missing.
So they go and they report this to the police,
and police start investigating.
Now, because lately she had been all in the media dragging his name,
Bruno immediately becomes a suspect.
And a few weeks later, police have gathered all the evidence they need
and bam, they arrest him.
And I don't have a mug shot of him, but here is a picture.
Also, bam, they arrest spaghetti, and here's a picture of him.
And also, here's a picture of another guy who was involved,
and here's a picture of yet another guy who was involved.
Also, pretty quickly, police find and recover the baby,
Elisa's son. So, he's fine.
So all four of these guys get convicted and sent to prison
for various lengths of time,
with Bruno getting sentenced to 20,
Two years.

Until...
13 years go by.
And it's now 2023.
And Bruno, he's released by this point.
But it's a conditional release,
meaning he has to follow a bunch of court-mandated rules,
like he has a curfew and whatnot.
And by 2026, he's playing professional soccer again
for a minor league soccer club.
And people hear about this,
and they are super outraged,
that a soccer club is allowing him to play professionally again,
So there's like a lot of public backlash over this.
And recently he left that team and he's now playing in the amateur leagues.
