Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up guys, it's Andy Priscilla and this is the show for the realest. Say goodbye to the lies, the fakeness and delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality. Guys, today we are going to continue with the questions and Andy-isms. I've got DJ here to ask me the questions and we're going to get to it. So before we get into it, first off, I just want to say thank you for sharing the shows, especially the last few shows where I've gotten more direct with what needs to be happening in this country. I know that that's not the easiest thing for a lot of you guys to share, but I recognize that you also think it's important and that means a lot to me and it means a lot to everybody. And it's going to mean a lot to everybody moving forward.
Starting point is 00:01:07 So I just want to say thank you for that. Thank you for having the courage to do so. And like Greg said, you know, courage is always rewarded. So I just wanted to express my gratitude for you there. And as the time of this recording, we are currently the number one show in the business category. Yeah. Yeah. That'll last for about five minutes because iTunes doesn't like it.
Starting point is 00:01:28 But it's no different than becoming undeniable. You know, the more we do, the better we do, the more they can't keep us away from it. And it is what the fuck it is. Deal with it, guys. So. What do we got today? I forgot to say what's up. I just saw you.
Starting point is 00:01:43 So lightening. All right. So guys, again, thank you for all your questions. I love these questions. I love going through them and reading them. So keep sending those in. But you guys know the rules. Three questions I'm gonna ask Andy and we'll see how we'll see how it goes. So first question. You talk a lot about purpose and passion and you know that these are the key elements. We just did a show yesterday, right? These are the key elements to being happy. But how exactly do you go about finding your purpose? How do you find your passion?
Starting point is 00:02:16 Well, that's a difficult thing. Look. The problem. So the problem that I typically notice that when people ask this question is what, what, it's not that they don't know their passion. It's that they don't know how to make money with their passion. And so what they're really asking is how do I monetize this shit that I think is actually cool, you know, and, and make a living or make a brand or make something of it that serves me that I can move forward with. And that's, so this is a two-part answer. So I'm going to answer that part. But, you know, as far as finding your passion, it's very simple. What is the thing that you are super interested
Starting point is 00:02:57 in? What's the thing that when people talk to you, you know, about, you get excited? What's the thing that, you know, when you notice a conversation happening within earshot across the room and you hear somebody talking about a certain subject and you are compelled to go jump in and talk about it, those things can help you identify your passions. We all have those things, right? Like think of the thing that you're sitting down and there's complete strangers talking about the table next to you and you overhear them and you care enough about that subject to interject and say, man, that's cool. Somehow appreciate it or whatever. It piques your interest away from what you're doing. Those things can help us identify our passions. Now, how we build those passions into a brand,
Starting point is 00:03:39 that's a completely different story. So I like to use the example, and I've used this example for years of butterflies. You know, when I say, uh, butter, there's lots of people that are passionate about butterflies and they say, well, how the fuck do I make a business out of butterflies? Well, it's really simple guys. Um, well, if that, if that gets you excited and that's something that you're an expert on, you need to take to your social and you need to do one of three things. You need to either educate people, you need to impact people, or you need to entertain people. And if you can figure out how to do one of those three things regarding butterflies, you could create a following that you can then work with. So what I would do, let's say if my passion were butterflies, is I, start a little blog and I would start an Instagram
Starting point is 00:04:26 page and I would start posting pictures and offering some education in the captions, maybe some infographics. And I would start just doing it organically and putting out a blog that has information about different this and that and what you think is special. And, you know, then that moves into creating a t-shirt with your favorite butterfly or some stickers or, you know, there's, and then it organically grows into this thing where you've attracted all these other people that are interested and you've identified yourself as the butterfly expert and people are going around, you know, following your lead. Okay. And so this, people don't understand that these niche things there's so there's thousands
Starting point is 00:05:05 of other people that are going to find that same thing interesting that will support you and people just don't think that is especially now with what's going on in the world where you know every media outlet in the world is trying to make us feel as alone as possible okay so we feel like oh nobody else probably thinks like that i'm all alone no guys that's not true there's eight billion people in this correct so you and the reason i like to use butterflies is because it's a very hard example yeah you know what i'm saying a very special specific example but that's how you do it and i mean fuck guys there's there's people making money in video games skateboards baseball cards i mean dude there's so many things going on and it really what it comes down to is people don't understand how to piece it together they
Starting point is 00:05:50 think it's just something that they have to enjoy not something that they could actually make into an income that was that's me because like i've seen people that like they have they're following their passion but they're not really like they're not living the luxuries you know luxurious life okay let's look at you for example example. You're a tremendous chef. I appreciate that. Yeah, and you're entertaining as fuck. And you could very easily take your cooking skills and your entertainment value and mix them together
Starting point is 00:06:15 and create a fucking brand that you can monetize. There's no question. So what I'm talking about with you is the same thing with these butterflies. Sure. You see what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah. and I told you this before. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:27 You know, off air. A bunch of times. Yeah. But the point is, is that we, the reason you're good at being a chef is why? Because I fucking love it. That's right. It's my passion. That's right.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I like eating too. I mean, don't get it twisted. Yeah. Bro. I like eating good shit. Yeah. Me too, man. That, you know, nobody knows how to plate a plate better
Starting point is 00:06:46 than you bro man my plating skills are getting fucking good yeah they are saying i mean i don't know i mean you know i'm saying plating skills are fucking good yeah dude but that's how you do it yeah you know what i'm saying that's how you build and if you were to say like if today i said hey you have to go build something if you didn't't do that, you're an idiot because you already love it. You already know about it. You're already doing it sort of for free anyway. Follow me? And a lot of people are out there. That's the cool thing about this technology. You guys hear me kind of trash on technology and there's things I don't like. I don't like how they invade our privacy. I don't like how they observe people for no reason. Those things,
Starting point is 00:07:25 you know, and those things hopefully will resolve themselves as technology becomes more familiar. But it opens up the, it opens up avenues to us that we never had before. Right. Right. Like, dude, you couldn't have done this when I, when I was 20 years old, which would have been the year 2000, you couldn't have done this. Right. You see what I'm saying? It just didn't. It wasn't there. Right. So, yeah, that's what it is. That's fucking awesome.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Yeah. All right. Next question. And it's funny because this one actually kind of ruminates with me just a little bit as I'm trying to figure this shit out. What's the difference or in your opinion, what do you think the difference is between being busy and being productive right so like today for example i had about you know four or five things on my list that i had to fucking check off and get done right and in my mind i'm like man i'm fucking busy today but
Starting point is 00:08:14 then i had to think about like no i actually got a fucking lot of shit done so like is it more of like is it internal like check but you have to check yourself on like how do you look well this is why i i have my own little system called the PowerList for this exact question. That's episode 16 on Real AF. Go back and listen to it. It's episode 107 in the MFCEO feed. But I outline in those podcasts the exact system I use for the question that you asked.
Starting point is 00:08:40 But I'll cover a little bit about the concept of it here to bring some clarity to this uh first of all we live in a society that that people think that people think busy is the goal like they think well like if you ask anybody what what the fuck they're doing 90 of these people will say the same shit oh bro it's so fucking'm so fucking busy. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Isn't that not what people say? That's exactly what they are. Right. Because they see it as a badge of honor. They see it as something to be proud of. Listen, man, if you're that busy and you ain't getting shit done and your life isn't progressing, you fucking suck. Yeah. That's the truth. Okay. So
Starting point is 00:09:20 you have to shift your identity because, and listen close to what I'm saying. You have to shift your identity. You cannot think that being busy is some sort of a win. Okay. Winning is being effective. How much shit do you get done? We have all these people out there that are telling people to get up at 3am or their fucking work. Motherfucker, you do my security.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Do I get up fucking early? No. Okay. And I've never gotten up early. Yeah. My, like, even when I was young, I never woke up early. It was just not how my body works. Okay. It's not a discipline thing either. I actually don't sleep at all. Until the hours of fucking 5.00 AM to about eight. That's really my only sleep. So, you know, to me, all these. And by the way, every fucking nerd out there saying that shit, not one of them is as successful
Starting point is 00:10:12 as I am. That's a fucking fact. All these coaches and all these people putting out these routines telling you to wake up at fucking 2 a.m. and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Look at their shit. Look at my shit. That's a fact. I'm sorry. That sounds cocky as fuck, but it's true. Okay. So that I'm living proof that that's bullshit. It's about what the fuck you get done. All right. And so my goal being a lazy man inherently, because I am lazy, I am a fucking lazy human. I have to abide by structures to be effective. One of the structures that I abide by is the power list. All right. I'm a systems guy. I'm not a fucking gifted person. I just follow certain systems that produce certain results. That's the system I follow.
Starting point is 00:10:58 And if I get all my critical tasks done by fucking noon, then I take the rest of the day and do whatever the fuck I want. All right. And this is why when people say, well, how do you have time for this or that or this? Well, I understand something that most people don't. It's not about getting 50 things done today. It's about getting five things done every day. Okay. Yeah. No, for 50 fucking years. Okay? So it's compounding interest. Everybody's such in a hurry to get where they want to go that they front load their work, right? And then they get to a point of burnout and they're like, fuck, this ain't worth it.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Well, no shit, it ain't worth it. But you burnt out before the time that needed for that plan to materialize actually happened. So you're setting yourself up to fail anyway. So if you go listen to my show, Win the Day, number 16, you will understand what I'm talking about when I talk about critical tasks. I'm not talking about goals. I'm not talking about a to-do list. I'm talking about five critical things that will make you closer to the goal that you are trying to achieve. Okay. Reading 10 pages of a personal
Starting point is 00:12:08 development book. That's, that's going to bring you closer every fucking day. All right. You know, just go listen to the podcast. Cause I could go on in this for 30 minutes, but the point is you're going to have, and this is the key point, because you're going to listen to that and you're going to have a couple of questions. One, you're going to say, well, why can't I do 15 things? And you say five, and it's because of what I said, you will not be able to sustain that. And when you start getting, you know, six things and eight things and nine things done, you start to build the image that you're a failure and you can't shoot. So it hurts your confidence. Or that it's okay to slag off. That's correct. You're
Starting point is 00:12:48 conditioning yourself to get half the work done. When you complete all five of your critical tasks every motherfucking day, like I have for the last fucking 20 years, I know that I can get my shit done. I'm a hundred percent confident. Nobody can say shit to me about what I can or can't do because I know what's required. And it's not 20. It's fucking five critical tasks. And you've got to do those seven days a week. And that's that.
Starting point is 00:13:11 So identifying critical tasks, cross them off the list. And this is the best part. You don't have to kill yourself. If you get your five things done, you get the rest of the day to fuck off. And I live that way. Do I not? So guys, I'm telling you and everybody, you know, they hear, yes, you have to work hard. Yes. You have to be disciplined. Yes. Those are skills that you got to have, but also you have to understand that running around and talking about how fucking busy you are doesn't win you any awards in life. No one a fuck that's your ego that's you wanting to brag to your friends i'm gonna tell
Starting point is 00:13:49 you this i like looking at my friends and saying i work less than all you motherfuckers and i'm making i'm doing way better right that's what i like right and that means i'm i'm that much more effective so you know it's about changing identity and from from i'm a busy human to i'm an effective human well and it just sounds better, too. It's like the side hustle thing, right? Like saying busy just doesn't even sound good. Like saying I'm fucking, dude, listen. Dude, listen.
Starting point is 00:14:13 It's weak people shit. You know what I'm saying? It sounds good. No strong person will say that shit to you. Yeah. They will not say it. Yeah. If you say, hey, if I say, hey, how you doing to fucking Goggins, Goggins ain't going to
Starting point is 00:14:23 say I'm fucking busy. Right. Ain't what he says okay right like if i say that shit to fucking to ed my let or to fucking uh you know whoever whoever i know that's a six jock or they're not gonna respond oh hell that's so fucking busy yeah in this like weak fucking defeated tone that's not not what they're going to say. So you have to change your identity from one of these weak fucking minded people who says, Oh dude. Oh bro. So I'm fucking drowning. I'm so busy, bro. That's a fucking, you are basically creating your own reality by even fucking saying that you understand you're smothering yourself yeah
Starting point is 00:15:06 so stop thinking of yourself as a busy person and start thinking i'm effective i get shit done and and and bro you ain't winning no fucking prizes for being busier than your fucking friends yeah so we're talking about no one cares also too is like i mean just side thought here are you really that fucking busy you know i'm saying like that's what i think when i hear that shit it's like get out of here all right next question man okay so scenario um i'm a 23 year old young young man uh i've been working with my grandfather grandfather for the past couple of years um and i'm actually about to inherit this family business that my grandpa started in the next few years
Starting point is 00:15:46 when he retires. What steps should I be taking right now, okay, or that I can start taking or I should be taking to prepare myself to one day take over and run this business? What are some first key steps in starting my business? What, how old did he say he was? He's 23 years old.
Starting point is 00:16:01 All right, hey, first of all, you should be, and I'm not saying this to toot my own horn, but you should be joining Arte and working to join Arte. And you should be working to connect with other people who are running businesses that might be a little bit older than you, a little bit further down the road that can give you guidance on a daily basis. Getting, you know, everybody, a lot of people try to find like these mentors to learn from that are, you know, somewhat famous. Those are not really always the best people to learn from that are, you know, somewhat famous. Those are not really always the best people to learn from because a lot of that shit is bullshit, right? They're not actually running company. A lot of these coaches, guys, they don't run companies. Their company is coaching.
Starting point is 00:16:36 You know what I'm saying? Like, so you want to get in a group like Arte, and I don't really know of any other ones that are like that, where there's real business owners in them that you can then meet and shake hands and contribute to and learn from and have as a circle of people that are doing things. That would be my first thought of how do you create a network of people who are doing similar things that you can learn with? That would be a first thing. Second thing, I would read. I would read everything that you could possibly read about leadership and people, because I don't care what business you're in. If you're a strong leader and you're good at managing people, you could figure out how to win. So, and most people are
Starting point is 00:17:19 very weak in those skills. So you need two skills to be effective in business. You need to know how to sell and you need to know how to lead or manage. Okay. If you know both those skills, you're, you're, you're doing all right. But those two main avenues, especially when you're starting a business are extremely important. A lot of people think it's about, you know, accounting and learning all the X's and O's. Bro, you can, you, you hire people that know that shit. Like you get a bookkeeper, you get, you know what I'm saying? You get people that can help you. And by the way, you should be trying to learn that stuff too. But what I'm saying is don't let that hold you back. Right. So, you know, finding people you can learn from, uh, and that's a great thing about social media and the internet as well. We can connect with people who do similar things all over the
Starting point is 00:18:01 place and talk. And most people I know, at least in RIT, they are totally open to share. That's why they're there. And dude, the other thing is I would adopt the mindset right now that you're going to make a whole bunch of mistakes. And I would start documenting the lessons that you make from every single mistake. On a daily basis, I would make part of your plan to write down what you fucked up that day and how to not fuck it up. And after three or four years, you're going to be pretty seasoned at those things. You're still going to not know some things, but you're going to, you're going to be pretty good. Um, the advantage that this, this person has is you're walking into something that already exists. The disadvantage that you have, you're walking into something that already exists. Okay. Because there's going to be a mentality. There's going to be a culture. There's going to be a tone. There's going to be people who, uh,
Starting point is 00:18:48 aren't on the same page as you. Okay. So walking into something like that can be very difficult. Uh, I've done that. I've taken over companies. I've, I've had to go through the process of creating the culture over again and doing those things. And it's very difficult and time consuming. I would learn everything that you could about, um, how to create culture. There's tons of books on it. Um, everything that you can about leadership and everything that you can about marketing. And those three skills will give you a really, a really good, uh, a really good foundation to work off of. Yeah, for sure. You know what I'm saying? And you can make tremendous progress in those in a couple years. Like, I know guys in RTA that when I met them,
Starting point is 00:19:33 they were doing, you know, maybe close to a million dollars who are now doing, you know, in eight figures in two years' time. So, I mean, you can learn these things pretty quick and apply them pretty quick. But, you know, it's about being willing to take your fucking hits and keep moving. It's really it, man. You know, I posted a video on my Instagram like a week ago of like these dudes like doing karate or kung fu. I don't even know the difference, but this dude was smashing himself in the balls with a brick, right?
Starting point is 00:20:03 Like as hard as he could. And I put the caption in there. I said, well, he must be a seasoned entrepreneur, right? Because like, that's literally what it's like. And anybody who's been doing it long enough will, will agree with that. You know, you've got to become a glutton for abuse and you've got to understand that it's not personal. You've got to understand that it doesn't define who you are and you've got to address it as problems that need to be solved unemotionally. And if you can do that, you're going to win. If you can't, you're going to have a really difficult time. So, um, so yeah, that's, that's pretty much it, man. That's awesome. Yeah. I read a funny comment today on, uh, on Instagram. Dude,
Starting point is 00:20:40 have you seen these, have you seen these people talking about 75 soft no dude i got tagged in this comment dude it fucking made me laugh it said some somebody was posting about doing 75 soft and i'm like okay and i got tagged in it you know because people like to show me like first of all i don't give a fuck what other people do yeah do whatever to want whatever you want dude i know where you're gonna end up right you're gonna end up same place you're fucking at yeah because you don't get it you're already doing 75 sorry and this person posted somewhere andy frisella is screaming no guys i'm not screaming i'm i'm just rolling my eyes because all you're doing is making the same mistake you've always made you're so unaware of the problem that you have which is that you can't commit and stick to anything that you're willing
Starting point is 00:21:22 to change the program to suit your needs which is what you've done your whole life which is why the fuck you are where you are and i just roll my eyes at it you know i'm saying like i don't know when people are going to get it dude yeah you know you know what's funny that so it reminds me of the time we climbed camelback mountain so you remember i had all that fucking shit i had the fucking hiking sticks i had all of that and then there were people that didn't have that and guess what We still made it to the top of that mountain. Right. And it probably was easier for them because I'm having to carry all this fucking shit.
Starting point is 00:21:50 You know, you can make it easier. You make it harder. Whatever you want to do. Dude, everybody. You still got to get there. Listen, man, it really comes down to an ego problem because people people think they're qualified to make calls in their own development that they're not qualified to make. They haven't accomplished the things that that they haven't really accomplished fucking shit.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Okay. And they're making rules about somebody's life program. It doesn't even make fucking sense. You know what I'm saying? So like, dude, the whole, the whole problem is unawareness. They're not even aware of where the fuck they are. You know? Oh, I still want to drink, but only at social occasions. That's the weakest shit I've ever fucking heard in my life dude you think that's gonna make you better that's what you've been trying to do your whole life you still can't even fucking do that right dude it's just it gets old yeah i'm just glad that we're surrounded by people that fucking get it right you know i'm saying like well i mean then time will tell that that'll be the difference that's why you they will keep fucking losing and you'll keep fucking winning bro to me is that simple well it is to me too but it's just like they're gonna get at the end of those fucking 75
Starting point is 00:22:57 soft days i'm like what happened like 75 of your other days like you mean oh so you mean you're just gonna start counting 75 days. Exactly. Did something. Exactly. Isn't that reflective of our society right now? I mean, that's everything.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Like, dude, it's just a fucking joke. This country is made of such soft motherfuckers now, dude. It just really is like, you know, what's good about that though?
Starting point is 00:23:20 The best thing about it is, is that people are so soft that the people who want to be better and want to get better and want to win are going to win that much bigger that much faster and and and it's going to be that much easier for them yeah because everybody else is trying to soften everything and take a fucking round corner on every fucking corner like dude yeah those are not my people you know what i'm saying like i it's whatever man the more the older i get the less i relate i can tell you that dude like i can understand why you know you see these old crabby men man there's like fuck you i'm like i get it bro like i finally get it so it
Starting point is 00:23:58 is what it is but anyway uh dude i like these episodes what we're gonna call these i don't know man uh what do you what do you guys think let's ask the public what do they think we should call it yeah we gotta call something yeah like it can't just be like q and a episode four like we're cooler than that no i think we're a little cooler for sure fuck i don't know uh yeah we have to figure that one out yeah hey some feedback is welcome yeah feedback, don't forget to send your questions that ask Andy at Andy for seller.com.
